Breach the Sky Pt.2

Ruby groaned as she rubbed her head, looking around as the ground was covered in sticks and rubble. She could hear the roar of creatures as a black and yellow form ran up and shoved a cooked egg into her mouth. Ruby coughed as her Aura flashed and her vision cleared to see Grimm attacking the streets of Vale, alongside monsters of different origin.

"Ruby! Come on!" spoke Vi as Ruby started to remember what happened earlier

Cardin nodded at Yang's idea of splitting up into teams, not seeing anything wrong as his team, Team ZTEC, MGNL and WBY ran to the other carts. Though, each were stopped by different people. Monika's group was stopped by a blue wolf Faunus, Kabbu and two of his team were stopped by an Orange Eagle faunus and Varron actively attacked the Red Lion faunus.

"Go, we'll handle the frog" , spoke Russel, as a Green Toad faunus stepped in front of the seven. She was rather large in terms of frame, wispy green flames came off her back. Cardin had to admit that she looked kind of beautiful with her long, emerald green hair and large mage outfit. He would never say it out loud though.

"I am a toad, punk." she stated, her voice as deep as her throat bulged. She let the team of guys get their weapons out before spewing a ball of mud, which was dodged. She raised her arm as Cardin's mace slammed into it before swinging her right leg at Dove and launched him back.

Sky sighed in annoyance before his eyes glowed, causing light blue and grey Aura-like feathers to shoot out and slash at the Toad woman. "Seriously, Sky?! Indoors?!" "Sorry boss, she's annoyingly tough" Cardin growled at his teammate before flaring his aura to tank a spew of mud, his eyes widening at seeing her healing their damage.

"How the…nevermind. Russel, you and Dove do a pincer attack. Sky, get behind her and swing up, I'll go for a gut explosion." The others nodded before Russel and Dove attacked from the left and right and Sky leaped over their target, swinging his halberd as he fell.

The amphibian lady's eyes widened as she saw their plan too late, as she was distracted healing her stamina. She looked down just as the head of a mace slammed into her gut, followed by an explosion that launched her into a wall. She croaked before falling into unconsciousness.

"Heh, for all you had stacked up, it fell hard. Come on, lets get to the front." Cardin spoke, letting Russel, Dove and Sky go first. He paused near the toad before sighing and letting a little of Aura heal her. "A parting gift for a good fight, ma'am." Cardin left, feeling a bit weird.

Monika backflipped as she dodged the swing of a cold claw, analysing the situation. Earlier, she and Yuri were able to handle a slash from the wolf faunus but now, it was getting dangerous.

"Arooo-hahaha! What's wrong, girls? 'Fraid of the big bad wolf?" spoke the rather sturdy girl in front of her, glowing a dark blue. She wore a set of blue leather armour, her mane of blue hair flowed as her tail slowly wagged. Her claws dripped with frost as bits of rope from an attack Sayori did. The wolf, Sapphire as they were told, was cocky but knew how to fight. However, they had a plan.

"Natsuki, can you?" asked Yuri, her knife coated in frost as Natsuki lifted her warhammer. The pink haired cat faunus was grinning, excited at the idea of her semblance. The wolf exhaled ice as she charged forward, swinging her claws as Natsuki pulled out a cupcake.

"A piece of dessert?! Seriously?! HA." Sapphire laughed as her claws shred the baked delight… before it exploded and covered her in frosting and damp flour. She growled as she stumbled in confusion before coughing as a hammer head slammed her stomach and a fist to her face.

"Seriously? She buffed herself and was defeated by Monika punching her face?" muttered Yuri, as Sayori glowed green and healed the group. "We also got to train you in hand to hand, Sayo" added Monika, giving Sayori a knowing look, who blushed in embarrassment.

Meanwhile, Kabbu was getting annoyed as the Avian faunus flew out of range of his lance thrust. The damn faunus had been dodging attacks using his large wings. His robes were undone, tied up around his waist to reveal his chest and abs, but keeping everything lower down hidden. He was smirking as he fired a lighting from his fingers, blocking Vi's Bee-merang toss.

"This annoys us." spoke Lief, who dodged a stray bolt. Kabbu thought over how fast the bird boy was, who called himself Granite. Vi couldn't strike him, as he was too fast, Lief's ice melted to the lightning and Kabbu couldn't, for the life of him, land a strike. So he had a different plan as he materialised a pebble.

Granite laughed as another chunk of ice missed him, turning lazily before choking on his laugh as a pebble smacked him dead in the face, causing him to land in shock. "W-WHAT?! WHO?!" he spoke, startled as he looked around before turning to Kabbu. "YOU?!"

"Heh, I knew it would come in handy." muttered the Rainbow Scarab beetle Faunus, even as Lief and Vi chuckled. Granite growled before feeling his wings get bit by something. He flared them out but saw nothing.

"How the-OW! WHO BIT ME!" he screamed as his right leg was bitten. He looked to see something that wasn't there before: a venus flytrap, walking on it's roots and biting his leg. He could have sworn it wasn't there before, even while the three annoying bugs had entered the cab. He then noticed a shadow grow as he looked up, the plant gone as a massive collection of icicles grew. He quickly turned and saw the moth, his hand raised as ice stretched over his arm.

"Oh fu-" Granite couldn't finish his sentence as the ten icicles crashed into him. Lief sighed in relief as the small plant ran over to him and nuzzled his leg "We thank you, Autumn." he spoke, even as Vi handed him two mushrooms.

A deep growl admitted from the lion faunus as he dodged a swing from the weapon Varron used, a needle the size of a shortsword. Jasper was pissed at how this…thing was able to dodge his claws and explosives.

Jasper wore a set of ruby red armour, that fitted his buff from and mane of flaming hair, his ears flicker as Varron did a wide slash and he blocked before punching the masked bug, which made him pause. He watched as Varron struggled to stand as he grinned, fangs bared.

"You don't have Aura? Hahahahah! You're weaker than even a newborn child!" Jasper laughed before feeling a chill go up his spine. He felt he had royally made a mistake as Varron grabbed it's robes as it forced out its own soul out of its body oh shi-!

Varron panted as it watched the white eyed shadows slammed into the arrogant lion. It felt a sort of satisfaction at seeing another foe fall. It then turned as it saw its…allies enter. The small yellow one quickly handed it a leaf, which it crushed. The bulky green one asked questions before Varron just pointed to the door.

Ruby perked up seeing the other teams enter. The youngest student sighed in relief as Blake explained that the brakes were destroyed.

"Weiss, can you make a shield?" "It would take time, Ruby. Time we don't have." spoke Weiss, a bit annoyed before seeing Vi muttering. It was a bit annoying as Yang spoke up "Welp, we are doomed if Vi can think she can…help…us?" Aside from Kabbu and Lief, everyone was stunned as thick roots grew around them, as if answering to Vi's muttering.

"Heh, guess she does play favorites, huh?" "She is Vi's girlfriend" was said between Kabbu and Lief as the train crashed.

Ruby leaped up, cleaving an Ursa in two as she took stock in the others. Yang was fighting an Ursa, Weiss was backed by Team CRDL as they began making a safe route to the bunker. She spotted Lief freezing Grimm, with Kabbu smashing through them and Team MGNL protecting Monika as she was typing something into a holo green screen, looking annoyed as it seemed to get harder before she threw it, cleaving a Creep in half. A bang went off as she turned to see Foxy, in his tuxedo, aiming his flintlock at another Grimm as Penny led a rather well dressed man away.

"Everyone! Protect the civilians until help arrives" ordered Ruby as she slashed another grimm. As the fight went on, more people arrived. Freddy punched a Nevermore out of the sky as he landed, Coco obliterated hoards of Grimm. Ruby saw Flint of Team FNKI blast his trumpet as a Deathstalker was sent flying, buzzsaws flew by as May Zedong fired her sniper. At one point, she swore she fought side-by-side with a katana wielding robot. Soon, Glynda arrived with Atlas bots as the area got colder.

The teams turned to see an Orbweaver with the upper-body of a woman climbing out of the hole in the ground, tossing a dead Beetle away. Ruby barely heard Kabbu's groan as she got ready to fight this Grimm.

It watched, the Beringel did. It watched as the Legendary Grimm, Arachne, fought the meatsacks and the Silver Eyes Warrior, curious on how an intelligent Grimm fought. The gorilla Grimm was impressed, emotions it never felt flowed through its being as a thought came to mind, one it never had before.

'Could I be as strong as them?' suddenly, it felt a change as more thoughts came to its head. Plans and ideas gathered as it…his eyes gained sentience. The newly intelligent Grimm felt it glow as he gained strength. He grinned before he received orders

'Kong, return to me. I wish to have a look at you' He sighed before leaping away, seeing Arachne fall.

Vi walked around, handing out snacks to the people as Glynda closed the hole, she noted the excited and content expressions on everyone before chatter turned to nothing as Ozpin and General Ironwood walked up. The latter, of whom, was angry.

"Out of all the irresponsible things you could have done, fleeing from your predetermined missions to help this was not one of them!" yelled the general, making the four robots and Team FNKI flinch as Team DOKI looked hurt. The other teams also winced at Ozpin's "i'm not mad, just disappointed" face as Roman and the Spectral Four were loaded into the Prison ship. Ironwood was especially mad at Penny, who was still in her date dress.

"Oh lay off them, Gearhead. These youngsters did good" a new voice spoke up as a well dressed man approached. He had greying hair, dull brown eyes and a slight limp to his right leg. Cardin and Jaune quickly ran over and helped the man, who smiled. "If they weren't here, more destruction and even death would have it."

"Ch-Chairman Winchester" stuttered Ironwood, stunned as the man was gently lowered to a rock. Foxy walked over with a glass of water, which the chairman drank. "Thank you, young man. The way I see it, Ironwood, is that these young men and women did their duty to protect. Even the two who were on a date,' That caused Foxy and Penny to blush red. 'To step up and help an old geezer like me out."

"Gramps, you're not that old" spoke Cardin, smiling a bit "I digress. Seeing as Vale will take awhile to fix itself, how about you lot take three months off to relax and train? I feel a bigger storm approaching" the Chairman said, confident and charismatic as Ironwood sputtered and Ozpin nearly dropped his coffee before both sighed. They couldn't change his mind.

"So….why are we going this way?" Marionette sighed at the question spoken by a man he hired to join their cause. He and three others were following the Grimm Queen through a dark corridor. He saw the glowing blue hologram of a business tycoon, a red skinned demon in a tux and a robed figure behind him as a Beowolf, an Ursa, a Deathstalker and a Nevermore followed.

"Every year, I wonder to myself. 'How do the Huntsmen and Huntswomen get so strong?'" spoke the lady in black as she led them to a dark pool of corruption, deep under her castle. "So I did some investigating, even sacrificing two Legendary Grimm. Thanks to the sudden ascension to a Beringel, I found my answer." as she said that, the four Grimm walked into the pool, Marionette feeling his eyes widen as it bubbled crazily.

To his and others' shock, the bubbling stopped as four faunus stepped out. A female wolf, a male bear, a female scorpion and a male raven… all naked before the goo created clothes like armour around them. They saw the Grimm Queen's grin as she turned.

"Meet. Team DARK"

And that is the Toy/Withered Arc over! Jeez, this was long so sorry about that.

Anyway, yep. Three new groups of individuals are added to our roster. The Spectral Four are based around the starting monsters in Monster Sanctuary while the Robots and Grimm are ocs.

Next up - Grimm Eclipse to give the other Canon teams more character.
