Author notes: Two points to clarify;

1) This is not a continuation to the events of the anime, it's an alternate timeline where Misao and Konata actually know each other like in the manga. Hence why the protagonists are in second year.

2) This is my first fanfic. I did my best and I want to do better so please let me know your thoughts.

June 29

"Sup, Hiiragi?"
"Yo, Kagamin!"
Said Konata Izumi and Misao Kusakabe at the same time, greeting their friend Kagami Hiiragi who opened the door to her house in front of them. Both girls were carrying two bags.

"I got us some beverage!" The blue-haired girl said, elevating one of her bags.

"And I brought some ice cream!" The brunette exclamated and did the same.

"Yeah, come in, come in." Responded the twin-tailed girl while signaling both girls to enter the house. "They thought it was a picnic or something?"

"How did you know she was coming too? I forgot to tell you." Spoke Kagami directing to any of the two girls in an intrigued way after closing the door now behind them.

"Ah, we didn't come together, we met just outside your door." Konata said casually while she left the bags on the floor and took off her shoes.

"Yeah, I saw her around the corner!" Misao added, doing the same.

Konata didn't grab her bags back, instead, she walked forward toward the stairs with clear haste. "I'm in a hurry to use the bathroom, so you guys go ahead!"

Kagami looked as Konata basically jumped the stairs."Sure, I'll bring your things to my room." Then, she crossed her arms and asked what she was left wondering about her friend. "So, I know Konata didn't finish her homework because of her games. But what's your excuse, Kusakabe?"

The brunette scratched her neck and chuckled before she grabbed her bags back. "Well, I kinda did the same..." Ever since they had two days off because of an incredibly high temperature, Misao finally could rest from the track club, so she decided to spend her days in peace, forgetting all about the homework gived to all classes. And when she did remember, it was too hard for her. "It's been a while since I played with my brother, y'know."

"Yeah, I should have guessed." Kagami sighed and grabbed Konata's bags, then walked to the stairs too, with Misao behind her.

Misao hummed for a bit before starting another conversation. "So where's everyone?" She had noticed the silence that invaded her friend's house and guessed that everybody was either sleeping or out.

"Oh, they went to clean the shrine for Tanabata." The purple-haired girl responded walking up the stairs. "Me and Tsukasa stayed here, though."

"Ow, I thought you wanted to be alone with us..." The fanged girl said disappointed as they almost reached the hallway on the second floor.

Kagami dropped her shoulders as she did the final steps. "Who in the world would want that?"

Then, when the girl in the front was opening the door to her room...

"BOO!" A little blue figure yelled loudly as it showed itself hiding at the left side of the entrance, scaring the hell out of both girls, who fell on their backs in the hallway. Yes, even the all-serious Kagami.

"The hell was that for?!" The twin-tailed girl yelled in almost the same volume after opening her eyes, then looked at Konata with a fierce look, who just giggled. "Are you a kid or something?!"

"Damn, she got me good!" At the same time, Misao shook her head like a dog drying itself and noticed something terrible. "HIIRAGI! THE ICE CREAM!" Needless to say, everyone was getting loud. Misao's screech made Kagami turn around and look below her. She had fallen in one of the bags.

"Come on, she's the one to blame!" Kagami got up and looked as mad as ever, then pointed her finger at Konata who was still inside her room. "You, apologize!"

"Uh? Well, it's your fault for falling for it, Kagamin." The prankster shrugged, her smirk intact.

"K-Kusakabe just made me trip, really!"

As the girls kept talking, Misao whined and a little tear formed in one of her eyes. She opened her previously mashed bag expecting to see the ice cream container in a terrible state, but what she found made her lit up instantly. "OHH! LOOK AT THIS!" Her fang exhibited from her smile.

"What?" Both Konata and Kagami stopped their exchange to go ahead and look inside the bag.

"I mixed the bags! You fell in the one with my books!" The two notebooks inside had wrinkles all over them, but the girl couldn't care less, as she was practically shining from relief.

"I think you also mixed up how you are supposed to feel at this..." Kagami said plainly as she face-palmed.

Konata couldn't help but laugh, making Kagami give her a confused expression. "What's so funny?" The latter asked.

"Ah, I was just thinking that Misakichi is more fun than you in these things."

"We didn't reunite here to have fun, though." Kagami's temper calmed down. "I guess being with both of them isn't so bad." Her mind then drifted towards the phone calls that led to this day.

[Yesterday]

"And then Sensei told me she had 3 more minutes 'til her membership ran out! So we go as fast as we can to slay that golem since-" Konata was explaining something that happened yesterday while playing with her teacher. Of course, she knew that Kagami wouldn't understand half of it, but at the same time, she'd most likely be the person who paid the most attention to the story. And besides, there was another, way more important reason for the call.

"So in other words, you've been on your computer ever since we got two days free and you couldn't do your homework." Interrupted Kagami. She tried her best to sound angry, even though the story she was hearing was somewhat interesting. She couldn't talk too much on the phone, so she had to cut straight to the point.

"Bullseye, Kagamin!" The twin-tailed girl sighed at this. "...Say, I actually just called to listen to your voice, but..." These words, and the way Konata sounded shy, made Kagami blush almost at the speed of light and also made her totally forget the previous haste she had to quickly end the conversation so she could listen to the rest of it. "But... can you let me copy-"

"NO." She said, almost shouting, before ending the call. "Man, she really thinks she'll get me with that." thought Kagami, still with her face red, not long before the phone started ringing again. "Ugh... Fine, come here tomorrow by four o'clock" She answered rapidly when picking up. It's not like she wasn't willing to help her at all. A "Yayy~" could be heard on the other side just before she hung up again and sat on her bed.

That reminds me, Tsukasa was having a hard time finishing her homework too... Kagami's thoughts derailed while looking at the ceiling.

Man, if only Konata wasn't in the same class as my sister. Her laziness already infected Tsukasa.

Yeah, if she were on 2C I could force her to pay attention and fix the 3mm brain she has.

...Konata in 2C... What if she made more friends there?

Nah, she probably can't get along with more people than us 3. And besides, wouldn't it actually be good? Making more friends I mean.

Little more than a minute passed, and the phone rang again, confusing Kagami. She picked it up without a second thought.

"What? I said you could come tomorrow." She said immediately, thinking Konata was at the other end.

"Eh!? Can I? Thanks a bunch, Hiiragi!" Misao, who was also in the same situation as the previous caller, answered from the phone. Her voice filled with energy as usual.

"Ah, Kusakabe? Wait, why are you coming to my place too?"

"I need you to lend me your strength and let me copy your homework!" Proudly announced the brunette, before realizing something. "Wait, how did ya know before I said it? Hey, hey, what do you mean by 'too'?"

The tsundere lost every strength to argue. If she did, Misao would then start to beg and make her feel bad, eventually giving up anyway. "Man... come here tomorrow at 4 o'clock." Kagami gave her the same answer, sighed, and then hung up the phone for the last time in the night.

[Present]

"Say, why isn't Ayano babysitting you today?" Kagami started talking as she looked for her notebook in the room. Both girls were already sitting on the floor, ready for the "homework session" that was more like a "copying session" and would eventually turn into just everyone fooling around and playing.

Misao got her pen out of her mouth to speak. "I think she's jogging now, even when it's damn hot outside..."

"Jogging, huh?" The word rang something inside her. "I should definitely be doing the same..." Kagami's face darkened at the thought, worrying about her weight as usual.

As the girl found her notebooks, she put both on the table and started pointing at the latest entries. "Here, from this page to this one." Then she pointed to the other notebook. "And from here to here."

"But that's a lot~..."
"That's too long~..."
Both girls complained at the same time.

"Well, had you done it yourselves, you wouldn't need to do it in so little time! Stop-com-plai-ning." Kagami sighed and then got up to sit on her bed and read something while the lazy pair did their stuff.

After some seconds of silence, both girls sitting on the floor directed an evil smile at each other. It was time to embarrass Kagami. "Alright, Misakichi. Since Kagamin is MY best friend, I have the right to copy her first." She gave Misao a smirk and then grabbed Kagami's notebook to put it in front of her. Both girls were facing each other in their "seats" so only one would get to read. "You can just leave us lovebirds alone, shoo shoo."

"Ha! Perhaps you are forgetting who went to middle school with her? C'mon, the right is mine" Misao rebutted and turned the notebook to herself, humming. And looking at Kagami at the corner of her eye, who was face-palming

The bluenette tilted her head and flipped the book again. "Oh? Did you know I took a bath with her?" She went all out with her lie.

"Huh!? T-that never happened, shut up!" It was immediate. Kagami got flustered as she tried to debunk the girl's lies.

"Ho, ho, ho! Pretty good, but..." Misao did a fake laugh and turned to Konata again. "Did you know that I played doctor with Hiiragi and-"

"THAT'S NOT TRUE!" Kagami finally stood and walked furiously towards the girls, looking like she would hit someone at any time. "Look, here's a good tip! If you sit like this..." Misao and Konata were dragged by the back of their uniforms to sit next to each other. "You can copy at the same time! Pretty cool huh?" The girl had a sinister smile along with her eyes closed, so her companions were frightened.

"Hiiragi's so scary..." Misao thought.
"Guess her dere side won't show up today..." Thought Konata.
Both girls looked at each other in fear and nodded, practically communicating by telepathy to say "Let's not upset her anymore, okay?"

Thus, both started copying what was seen in Kagami's notebook.

More than 15 minutes passed. Kagami was silently reading her novel, chuckling slightly at moments, which was almost the only noise that could be heard. "What's the point in bringing people over if you're gonna have fun by yourself?" The thought was crossing the other girls' minds.

Misao would sometimes look at her side, only to take a break from watching so many letters. Konata would also look at Misao from time to time, only to smirk, grin, or slightly laugh at her because of the slowness in her writing. However, after some minutes, both stopped.

All of this was, to say the least, boring. Misao and Konata were drowsy, and if they didn't take a break soon they'll most likely end up sleeping on each other's shoulders.

"So tireeeddd~~"
"Buuuu~"
Also at the same time, Kusakabe and Izumi fell on their backs to the floor, arms up, making Kagami sigh.

"Let's eat the ice cream..." Misao started crawling towards her bag in the corner like she was in her last moments.

Konata did the same, reaching for her bag at the side of Kagami's bed. "Water..." She said panting.

The purple-haired girl couldn't deny she was also a bit needy of something fresh. "Fine, but don't waste too much time." She got up from her bed to sit on the floor too, as Misao just returned with a big polystyrene container with ice cream inside and two plastic spoons.

As if her tiredness disappeared, Konata grabbed her bag and dashed near the two girls eating. "Guys, look at what I brought!" The girl started humming a fanfare as she pulled something out of it, ending the fanfare with a higher pitch as she showed the item. It was her DS.

"Didn't you say you brought water in there?" Kagami didn't like the idea of having Konata near a console during a 'homework' session. "And no, you're not gonna play here."

Misao was too concentrated on eating from the container, but reacted at the word 'play', looking aside to see the console in Konata's hands. "Ah, shorty! I didn't bring mine, so you gotta let me play with yours!" She said almost as an order, pointing her finger at Konata, then focused again on the ice cream.

"Come on, don't approve her ideas!" The twin-tailed girl sighed knowing that they wouldn't stop playing since now.

"Welp, two against one, the fun won." Konata did her trademark smirk. "But let's eat first, I'm dying here... Hey, where's my spoon?" She noticed that both girls were grabbing their spoons and there wasn't a third one.

"Well, it can't be helped, look for one in the kitchen." Kagami looked for the simplest solution as she started eating again before she noticed Konata's gaze at her.

"Hmm..." The otaku looked very closely at the spoon. "Hhmmmm..." Then looked at Kagami's lips and smirked. "I know! Let me use your-"

"Don't even think about it." The girl blushed a bit at the thought of an 'indirect kiss', but rejected it bluntly and kept eating.

"Ow... But I'm hungry too... And I don't wanna move..." Konata complained as rested her head on the table like the times she slept in class. "Look at Misakichi, eating like there's no tomorrow... It reminds me of you." The last sentence said in a whisper, expecting Kagami to hear it nonetheless.

Misao, again, noticed what the exchange was about, and fixed the problem. "Sorry, Shorty." She touched the bluenette's shoulder with the spoon and smiled. "Here, you can use mine, va."

Konata happily showed her face again to accept, but Kagami reacted before she could talk, basically jumping to stand. "W-wait, what?!" Her voice cracked at Misao's carefree act. "How is she willing to do t-t-that with her so easily!?"

Misao thought she'd done something bad. "W-w-what's wrong, Hiiragi?" The brunette started looking back and forth between her spoon, Kagami, and Konata, expecting to catch the reason for her friend's sudden snap.

"O-oh, nothing. I-I got lost for a second there." Kagami realized that the words 'indirect kiss' were running so loosely in her mind that she forgot Misao didn't have a chance to understand what it was. "Man, of course it was just a nice gesture..." She sat down again ignoring what happened, yet of course, expecting the tease that Konata would give her.

The bluenette chuckled and made a devilish smile, then talked to Misao. "Don't worry, Misakichi. She just wanted one of those indi-" Two hands, from a figure that appeared behind her in an instant, covered her mouth before she could finish, surprising her and the brunette, who thought she had just seen the closest thing to teleportation.

"...Don't you dare say anything weird." Kagami said slowly before removing her hands from Konata's mouth and going back to her spot like nothing happened.

"Woah...! Hiiragi, how'd you do that!?" Misao smiled and started moving her body back and forth in excitement, completely ignoring the murderous aura emitting from Kagami.

"S-shh! Don't bother her." Konata seemed to be pleading in fear for her life. "Anyway, let's take turns using the spoon." She changed the subject.

"'Kay, you first." Misao lent Konata her spoon.

"I'm full~..." Misao, satisfied, fell on her back again after getting the last bite of the ice cream.

"Good, now start writing again." Kagami resumed the novel she was reading in bed. Although she mostly used it for fanning herself from time to time.

Konata grinned and negated with her head. "Wrong! Don't forget what I got here!" She grabbed her DS high like it was some kind of offering for a deity.

"Ah, of course!" Misao instantly lit up and stood next to her to look at the console. "Where are the games, Shorty?"

"Well, it's not like they'll hear me if I say no." The tsundere simply shrugged at them, letting both know they could do what they wanted. "Fine, but finish before you leave. You're not coming over tomorrow."

"Yeah, yeah." The otaku answered without caring and went to search for her bag with Misao. She pulled various game cases and loose cartridges from inside and gave them to the brunette so she could look at them.

Misao started checking the games one by one. "I'm only into fighting or racing games..." She couldn't recognize any of the games Konata had. "Hey, shorty, what's this stuff?"

"Hehehe~" Konata laughed proudly. "Most of these are dating simulators, lil' Misakichi." She declared while opening the screen.

"Who're you calling little!? Also, dating? That sounds boring..." Misao said with all honesty. "Hiiragi wasn't wrong when she said you were special..." An evil grin appeared on her face.

"See!? I'm more special to Kagamin than you are!" Konata's eyes lit up as she heard the presunt words that once came over from Kagami's mouth.

"H-huh!? When the hell did I say that!?" Kagami quickly stood up and pointed at the brunette to expose her lie. "And I think that's not what she meant..." The latter phrase was directed at Konata, who was smirking at the tsundere and moving closer, preparing to tease the hell out of her. But unexpectedly, she stopped halfway through as the brunette called her.

"Shorty, what's this one?" Misao said noticing a game that stood out from the rest, as it didn't look weird from her point of view.

"Ah! In that one, you're a lawyer and you gotta defend your clients and find the true culprit of murder cases!" Konata was explaining while her eyes sparkled. "Trust me, that one's the best the DS ever had, va!" She ended the sentence imitating the brunette's voice.

Kagami sat down on the bed again, sighing heavily. "Weren't you tired like 5 minutes ago? You sound pretty lively now... Also, don't even think about asking her for a game and never returning it, Kusakabe."

"Eh?! Never have I ever done that! I'm just gonna play it while we are here." Misao stated puffing her chest. As long as she played something instead of doing homework, her head would be fine. "'Kay, let me play this one then, Shorty." She said grabbing the game that caught her attention previously.

"I know you'll love it," Konata put the cartridge in. "but I don't know if you'll be able to finish it with that brain of yours." She said looking away with a fake concerned tone.

"Grr! Just bring it on!"

After waking up from a quick nap, Tsukasa washed her teeth and went downstairs to greet her family, but to her surprise, she saw nobody.

"Wow, maybe I finally got up earlier than my sisters, in some way!" Tsukasa was guessing, proud of herself. "Oh, but what of mom and dad?" She finally started to realize where her family had gone.

"Ah... Tanabata is almost one week from now. Perhaps everyone went to clean the shrine and prepare for it but they couldn't wake me up..."

"Ahh! I needed Matsuri to help me with my homework! If I don't make progress today, I will have to do it all tomorrow... uhh..."

"But I really don't get it by myself, and I've been bothering Kagami a lot lately..."

"Maybe I'll go back to my room and call Miyuki..."

She made it back upstairs, but when she was going back to her room, she heard a very slight music playing and some voices coming from Kagami's one.

That was it, Kagami was also home, so she was available to help her at the moment. Tsukasa stepped just outside to knock when she heard more voices from the inside.

"Alright! See why you should not underestimate my capacity!? Woohh let's start the second one!" It was the voice of that girl from Kagami's class, Kusakabe. Tsukasa wasn't near close to her, but her voice was unmistakable, and she'd been in the house sometimes. It sounded incredibly lively inside.

"What second one? Don't you remember why you guys came here!?" And that was Kagami. She sounded pretty upset, but Tsukasa knew this was most likely far from the truth.

"Ha ha ha! But Kagamin, Misakichi's reactions are priceless! Just let her play a bit more, pleaseee~" And finally there was Konata. She also sounded really happy, as normal for her.

Tsukasa noticed she'd been standing at the door for a while, so she stopped her thoughts and slowly opened the door to her sister's room.

"Hello, sis! Hello, Kona and Kusakabe!" She greeted everyone smiling, half of her body behind the door.

"Oh, Tsukasa, finally got up, huh?"
"Ah, Hiiragi's sister!"
"Good day, Tsukasa~"
She was greeted back by the girls.

"Sis, you see, I needed some help with my homework..." Tsukasa said timidly while scratching her head and giving a little giggle.

Kagami could only sigh, she was starting to think that Miyuki and herself were the only responsible people in all of her group.

"Ho, ho, ho! You've come to the right place, miss! The copying room's right here." Konata bowed to Tsukasa and signaled her to come inside.

"That's right, Hiiragi's sis! Your mean twin already took care of everything for us!" Misao smiled, her fang shining from the light on the DS screen, which she never stopped looking at.

"Yeah, I took care of it but you'll stay the whole day playing regardless!" Kagami got up and then directed to her sister. "My notebook is there on the table, go ahead and take it. Trust me, these idiots won't stop playing to finish the activities." After saying this she also sighed. "I knew they wouldn't do homework, but come on, they came to MY house to play bty themselves?"

Tsukasa laughed nervously looking at her sister's expression and went ahead to grab her sister's book. "Well, sorry for the intrusion, Have f-"

"EEHH!? Why did she die!? Why so early!?" The brown-haired girl screeched interrupting Tsukasa, although not on purpose, since she was too immersed to notice.

"Quiet down! You're screaming your lungs out in my room!" Kagami didn't know what Misao was talking about, but her reaction was still surprising nonetheless. Her eyes were even watering. "Wait, are you really crying?" The purple-haired girl didn't know if being concerned for the girl or feeling pity was correct.

Konata found the brunette's reaction incredibly cute. "But man, I didn't think it was possible to get attached to Mia..."

Tsukasa was just looking back and forth between the girls nervously since the sudden scene scared her a bit.

After some time, It became 6:15. Deciding that she didn't want to go home late and worry her dad, Konata prepared to take her leave and packed her notebooks, followed by Misao. Since they didn't progress much on the homework, they agreed to make Kagami write the rest of the activities on a mail and send it to both. Thus, both waved goodbye to Kagami and were now on the street, preparing to go home. Both girls carried their bags in their arms or shoulders, Misao carrying one with her notebooks and one empty, while Konata had her DS games in one bag and her notebooks in the other.

"Misakichi, when will you let go of my console?" Konata said with a puzzled expression after they stood on the street. "Or are you thinking of buying it?"

"No way! Remember that I have mine at home?" Misao said still playing the game Konata showed to her as both began to walk for no reason. "...Hey, Shorty, did you really take a bath with Hiiragi?" The girl asked referring to what the otaku said when they tried to annoy Kagami.

"Nah, of course not." Konata shrugged. "And did you play doctor with her?"

"Nope, we never liked those kinds of games. They're kinda weird." The brunette stated her opinion.

"Yeah, I know what you mean!" Konata nodded. "Well, I never pictured Kagami playing girly stuff." She then pointed at the screen to give directions to the brunette. "Ah, you gotta present the statue there."

"Oh, makes sense!" Misao did as she was told.

Some moments of silence followed as Misao played and Konata watched her until more conversation surged. "Speaking about games, did you know that we used to play in the cemetery with Hiiragi?" Misao paused the game as she continued talking.

"Uh? What for?" The otaku asked with a puzzled expression.

"Me and Ayano wanted to see ghosts, so we went there sometimes, and Hiiragi just went with it." The brunette reminisced her middle school years with a bit of nostalgia.

Konata chuckled and nodded. "Yeah, that's Kagami for you! Can't stand being left out."

"Well, that's what she's been doing to us, though." Misao sighed, unsatisfied with the thought of Kagami being in their class but barely talking to them.

Konata paid attention to the girl's sad expression. "Yeah, she comes to our class a lot, doesn't she?"

"Ah, I'm not saying I don't like for you guys to be with her, of course! It's just that... y'know." Misao finished without elaborating, yet what she meant was clear.

"I know, don't worry."

Misao nodded for no reason and tried to keep playing, but the thoughts kept her occupied for a minute. Her companion noticed this and touched her shoulder to get her attention. "Misakichi, why don't you come to our class too?" She said with a comforting smile.

The taller girl nodded again, not actually grasping what Konata said, but after some seconds, it hit her. "W-wait, really?" Misao asked again instead of desperately accepting as she wanted to do.

"Yeah, why not? It'd be more lively with you and that other girl!" Konata tried to convince her friend, whose smile went from ear to ear. "Just ask Kagami first, of course."

"Yeah, it'd be perfect!" Misao regained all her energy and directed another smile towards the girl at her side, showing gratitude, before paying attention to the game again.

Konata giggled for a bit, then some moments of silence followed between them as the brunette played and she looked at the screen in amusement until Misao spoke again. "Hey, Shorty, I should have asked earlier but can I borrow the game?" Misao started hitting her nails on the back of the console, doing a certain rhythm.

Konata giggled again, confusing Misao, who was about to look at the girl to see what was so funny, before the otaku pointed at the screen again. "Sure, but hey, hey, look very closely there!"

The fanged girl smiled then did what Konata told her, and looked the screen more closely towards a seemingly random spot. "What's with it?"

"Look at the colors!" The bluenette pointed again at some brown flags.

"Yeah, it looks li- OW!" Misao hit her head with something flat, and fell on her back on the concrete because of the surprise. "What's that thing doing here!?" She looked up and growled at the vending machine in front of her.

Konata started laughing so hard she couldn't breath after some seconds, so she couldn't talk.

"Grr... Hey, really, what's that doing here?" Misao decided to forgive the vending machine and then she noticed it wasn't there before. Then she looked at her sides, and noticed that nothing she saw was there before.

Konata recomposed herself and answered. "Ah, yeah, that's..." She realized how weird it was for a vending machine to be in front of her on her way home.

"Midget, where were you even taking me!?" Misao interrogated the otaku with a surprised expression. The truth is, both just started walking without even knowing where they were headed, and were now on a street they hadn't passed by before.

"Huh? But I was the one following you!" The smaller girl responded, as surprised as her companion. She looked around her and she finally noticed she'd been walking in autopilot the whole time. "I thought you were going to give me the game back..."

Both girls stared at each other for some seconds with a dumbfounded face, until they burst into laughter again. It was so funny to Misao that she knelt on the asphalt while putting a hand over her stomach, and had to be extra careful to not let the laughter drop the other girl's console she'd been grabbing the whole time.

"Hey, hey, be careful with my things!" Konata pouted after she stopped laughing, and she then grabbed her DS from Misao's hand. She then remembered what Misao asked before hitting her head, and ejected the cartridge from the console to give it to her.

"I think I should've turned right some blocks back... Midget, where's your house by the way?" Kusakabe regained her strength and stood up, now ready for some more chatter before they parted.

"It was actually the opposite way ever since we left Kagamin's house, haha! I can't believe I forgot..." Konata scratched her head while she closed her eyes then started walking again.

"Guess we'll go back now, then." Misao started to walk again with a smile, moving her arms a lot with each step, a lot of energy was irradiating from her despite the infernal heat.

"Yeah, have the game back also." Konata stopped to find and pull out the game case from one of her bags, then put the cartridge inside it. "No wonder Kagami said she forgets to return games... She even forgets to take them." The girl lent the box to Misao. "Here's the case, I don't want it getting dusty."

"Ah, sure!" Misao took the game and put it in the bag that previously contained the ice cream, but was now empty. "Hey, can you give me your number for when I need help with the game again?"

"No problem!" Konata accepted, but when she put a hand on her chin and tried to make memory, she couldn't remember her number. "Ehh... Ask Kagami for it later."

"You forgot? Hahaha!" Misao laughed again.

After some time, both reached a street they recognized, as it was near the Hiiragi's house. Thus, both waved goodbye and went a different way.

"So we'll probably expand our group next Monday... Gotta thank Shorty for the idea." Misao thought as she walked towards her home.

Author notes:

That's it for the first chapter. So yeah, I don't know how common are polystyrene containers on other countries, so if you don't know, search it on the internet.
