Spiritcaller sighed as she stared down at the scroll on the table in front of her. "Ugh! I can't do this stupid math equation right!" The small NightWing sighed and banged her head on the table with a defeated sigh. "Having some trouble?" Spiritcaller looked up to see the IceWing member of her winglet. "Yes, yes pleases!" She practically shouted her response.

Blizzard laughed and shook out her dark blue snowflake patterned wings. "Oh Spirit," she gave an over dramatic sigh, "your so dramatic ," Spiritcaller frowned but of course Blizzard knew it was a joking frown. "So... whatcha need help with?" Blizzard asked her friend while looking over the contents of the scroll.

"Hay, what are you two little weasels up to?" The two dragonets looked up to see the SeaWing and SkyWing members of their winglet. "Blizzard's just helping me with my math, but I'm not a weasel" She frowns, but of course they knew it was a joking frown.

Waterfall and Firestorm glance at each other with amused looks on their faces. "I'm surprised that I even passed the last test Nightstar gave us," Waterfall said while glancing over at Spiritcaller's math scroll. "I guess that means you have to retake the test next week?" Firestorm asked to witch the small NightWing nodded with a soft sigh and a twitch of her tail.

"I'm still surprised that we're even passing Nightstar's class." Came a new voice from the entrance of sleep cave.

The three dragonets looked to see a RainWing about there age walk in. "Oh, hi Hummingbird." Firestorm greeted the RainWing as she entered the cave.

"How bout you guys take a break from studying and come outside with me." Hummingbird said with a flick of her tail and an exasperated roll of her violet eyes. Blizzard frowned and narrowed her stormy-blue eyes at the RainWing.

"Look, Hummingbird," she began with a motion of her tail to Spiritcaller's scroll. "I get what your trying to do, but Spirit needs to study and we're going to help her pass this test, no matter what it takes." Hummingbird sighed and twitched her tail back-and-forth.

"Ok, if you say so. Have fun studying," Hummingbird replied with a roll of her eyes.

"Sorry, Hummingbird." Spiritcaller told her, sighing softly and staring down at the floor.

"Hay, Hummingbird, do you know where Rattlesnake and Copper are?"

The RainWing frowned and tilted her head to the side in thought. "I dunno, there probably playing a board game of some sort." Spiritcaller and Blizzard both glanced at one another with a knowing look.

"Yup. That sounds like Rattlesnake and Copper." Waterfall remarked with an amused smile forming on her face. The other four dragons giggled and nodded in agreement at the SeaWings comment.

The clicking of Nightstar's talons on the floor was the only noise that could be heard as she paced the classroom, occasionally making her way over to her students in order to politely observe their work on the quiz she had handed out and be present if anyone needed some pointers.

While the sound of Nightstar approaching may have been relief for some students in the class, for Spiritcaller she could not say that she was feeling encouraged as the teacher made her way over to the NightWing's general direction.

Spiritcaller felt her talons shaking as she tried to remember some of the answers. Waterfall, Blizzard, and Firestorm had helped her study four almost three hours, although the NightWing kept trying to tell her friends to focus on their own work, bur they were adamant that they'd stay and help her as much as she needed.

When changing the place value of a decimal point, do you move the decimal two places to the left or right to make a percent?

Spiritcaller blinked and stared at the question in confusion. "What in the three moons does that even mean?!" She whisper-shouted to herself while still trying to process the wording of the question. After a few more seconds of staring at her scroll, the NightWing just decided to go on to the next question.

Is the top number on a fraction called the numerator or the denominator?

Now that was a question that she could answer without a second thought. She smiled to herself as she wrote down her answer. Feeling her confidence grow a little bit, the NightWing took a deep breath and began to read the last two questions.

How do you turn a percent into a decimal?

Spiritcaller thought for a few moments before she quickly wrote down her response. She looked beside her to see Blizzard and Waterfall diligently working on their own quiz. Spiritcaller smiled to herself as her eyes landed on the final question. There were twenty questions in total and she had answered six so far.

How would you make an improper fraction proper?

The NightWing blinked and tried to remember what Firestorm had told her about improper and proper fractions and how to make a fraction turn into a dermal. But for some reason she couldn't remember how to convert the fraction to a whole number or how to make an improper fraction proper.

All Spiritcaller hoped for as she wrote down her final answer was that she would pass the quiz this time around. She really hoped her efforts weren't wasted for nothing. But most of all, she didn't want her friends efforts to help her end up being completely wasted if she were to fail the test again.
