Hello all Storm here with a new story! Yes, yes another new story, but I get an idea and can't get it out of my head until it's written so here we are. Here we'll be having Naruko as another demigod, and from the title I'm sure you can guess who her father will be. And just so you're all aware, I have two other ideas for demigod Naruko to go with this that'll complete the set. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
'Ooooh…Kami, what happened?' Thought Naruko Uzumaki, groaning as her eyes began fluttering open, only to immediately close them when it felt like everything was spinning.
Waiting a few moments for her head to settle, Naruko began opening her eyes again. Relieved that the room no longer seemed to be spinning around her, only to blink in confusion when she got a good look at her surroundings only to not recognize anything around her.
Looking around the room, Naruko saw it she was in what looked like an infirmary, but not one she knew or recognized at all.
'Where the hell am I?' Naruko wondered, confused at where she could be or how she ended up here, since the last thing she remembered was…
'Pervy-Sage! Oh…that perverted asshole!' Thought Naruko, scowling slightly as she began to remember what had happened.
Her teacher, Jiraiya of the Legendary Sannin, had taken her on a three year training trip to prepare her for the Akatsuki. An organization of S-Rank Missing-Nin that were hunting her down for the Kyūbi no Yōko sealed inside of her. Having already encountered two members, Itachi Uchiha the older brother of her teammate Satsuki Uchiha, and Kisame Hoshigaki the Monster of the Mist.
Though it had only been a year into the training trip that Naruko wished she just stayed in Konoha to train. Since the only thing she learned was how to dispel Genjutsu, which she doubt would be enough against a Sharingan Master, like Itachi. Along with learning how to make a bigger Rasengan and starting to consciously use the Kyūbi's Chakra.
The latter of which Jiraiya seemed to be the most focused on, having her learn to access the full power of the Kyūbi. Something that Naruko didn't really like as, while her use in using the Kyūbi's Chakra had improved compared to when she first used it in the Land of Waves, it wasn't something she wanted to be too reliant on. Having hoped that the training trip would really help her grow stronger in all of her abilities, rather than just using the Kyūbi's Chakra. Which wasn't helped that when she encountered Itachi and Kisame, Kisame's sword Samehada just absorbed the Kyūbi's Chakra when she tried using it, leaving her helpless.
'But did Pervy-Sage listen, noooo! He just said I'll be fine, I just need the Kyūbi's Chakra, what else would I need?! How about something else besides the one thing that's already proven useless against the Akatsuki!' Naruko mentally ranted as she sat from the bed and stood up.
She tried asking Jiraiya if they'd be able to focus on Ninjutsu, Taijutsu or Fūinjutsu, the latter being something he was skilled in. And something Naruko was interested in learning after seeing how versatile it was. Unfortunately no matter what the Toad Sannin always said the same thing, they'd get to it when she mastered the Kyūbi's Chakra.
"Should've just taken Satsuki's offer to look the Uchiha Clan's Jutsu Library, instead of going on this stupid training trip." Naruko muttered, wishing she just stayed in Konoha and trained with Satsuki using her clans Jutsu Library
It only got worse when he wanted to loosen her Eight Trigrams Seal to let out more of the fox's Chakra, something Naruko really didn't want to do. Only for her concerns to be ignored with Jiraiya summoning a toad that apparently had the key to her seal and loosened it.
'I don't even remember anything after that. Hey fox! What happened?!' Naruko thought, wanting to know what happened after the seal was loosened, before hearing a dark chuckle in her mind in response.
"I had a little fun, tearing a chunk out of the pervert's chest. He should be thankful, normally I would've ripped him to shreds, but his stupidity gave me a chance to break free. So I gave him a chance to survive…if he got help that is." Said Kyūbi having been eager to take the chance to break free of the seal.
Only to growl in anger since its chance had been taken away by…honestly even the Bijū wasn't sure what had happened after attacking Jiraiya.
While Naruko paled at hearing this, since despite her anger at Jiraiya for ignoring her own desire for training, that didn't mean she wanted him dead. Probably beat him within an inch of his life, but not actually kill him. Despite being a self-proclaim Super Pervert and a dead-beat sensei, he was the closest thing that Naruko had to a father.
'And…what happened after?' Naruko mentally asked since if she's still alive and the Kyūbi's still inside her, then something must've happened to stop it from escaping.
"I don't know! I was waiting for the seal to deteriorate enough to escape when something happened! All I remember is the ground splitting open and the sound of rushing water, before I forced back in here!" Kyūbi growled, annoyed that it was shoved back into Naruko's mind before it could break free.
'The…ground split open and…you heard water?' Thought Naruko raising a brow, only further confused at what that meant and how it lead to her ending up here.
Shaking her head, Naruko looked around the infirmary again before she spotted a pile of folded clothes on a small table next to the bed she'd been laying on. Looking down at herself, Naruko frowned at seeing how ripped and torn her jumpsuit was.
'Great. Well at least the shirt's orange.' Naruko thought, pleased the shirt is at least her favorite color, grabbing them only to raise a brow when she unfolded the shirt.
"Camp…Half-Blood?" Naruko muttered in confusion at the name, even more so at the winged horse that was on the shirt as well.
'Weird, very weird.' Thought Naruko, shaking her head before taking her jumpsuit off to put the new clothes on.
Once she was dressed, the Uzumaki went over to a mirror she noticed, wanting to get a look at herself and see if there's anything different. Feeling relieved when she looked at her reflection and saw nothing out of the ordinary.
Having the same pale skin, long bright red hair that fell down to her waist before she put it back up in her usual pigtails, three whisker marks on her cheeks and bright ocean blue eyes. With her wearing the orange Camp Half-Blood shirt, blue jeans and her blue Ninja sandals.
'I'm gonna need different clothes.' Naruko thought looking at her attire, doubting they'd offer much protection in a fight.
Strapping her weapon pouches to her waist and thigh, Naruko exited the infirmary, glancing down the hallway it opened up but didn't see anyone at either end. Walking out, Naruko saw some doors leading to other rooms. One which looked like an office with a desk, a record player, a video player and other strange looking pieces of technology. Another looked like a meeting room with chairs around a ping-pong table.
'This is definitely a strange place.' Thought Naruko, looking around more until she got to a door leading outside.
Tensing slightly as she reached for the handle and opened it, ready to reach for her weapons for whatever was waiting for her.
Though when she opened the door, the whiskered redhead stepped out onto a porch deck and was surprised to find herself staring out across with green hills in the distance and smelling strawberries as a breeze blew past her. Naruko couldn't help but whistle in amazement as she walked closer to the railing to get a better look at everything.
There were groves of trees, a winding stream, acres of strawberries spread out under the blue sky. The valley was surrounded by rolling hills and the tallest one, directly in front of her, was one with a huge pine tree on top.
'Okay, strange place but it's sure got a great view.' Naruko thought, smiling before her attention.
Admiring the view for a moment, Naruko looked around the deck as she saw a few lawn chairs and tables set up. With the porch seeming to extend all the way around the house, resulting in Naruko going around it to see if she could find anyone. But once she got to the other side of the house, Naruko got another surprise when she saw what was there.
Seeing the valley extended all the way to the ocean, the Kunoichi estimated it must be a mile away from the house. While between them she saw numerous buildings, an open-air pavilion, an amphitheater, an arena that reminded her of the one from the Chūnin Exams. With all of them having sparkling white marble columns that looks brand new.
Naruko also saw a nearby sandpit where some older kids were playing a game, though she rubbed her eyes when she saw some of the kids had what looked like goat legs. There was also a lake where she saw canoes going back and forth. More kids in the same orange shirts as her chasing each other near some cabins in the woods, an archery range and others riding horses down a wooded trail.
'Uh…Kyūbi? Do…do you see some of these people have…goat legs? And…did some of those horses have wings?' Naruko thought, unsure if she's seeing things.
"Yes." Kyūbi said, not as shocked as its host, but still stunned at what it's seeing right now.
'Okay good.' Thought Naruko glad she's not going crazy.
Turning away from the strange view, Naruko looked down the porch where she saw noticed two men sitting at a table playing a card game, along with a girl leaning against the porch railing.
The first man was rather short and chubby, with lightly tanned skin, curly black hair that looked purple with how dark it was, watery, bloodshot blue eyes and a red nose. With him wearing a tiger-stripe shirt, khaki shorts and sandals.
With Naruko being able to guess from his appearance he drank a lot, being reminded of the times she's seen Tsunade get drunk.
The second man looked middle-aged, with fair skin, thinning brown hair, bushy eyebrows, intense brown eyes and a scruffy beard. He was also in a wheelchair with a blanket thrown over his legs, with Naruko only seeing him wearing a tweed jacket.
'Huh…he reminds me of the old man.' Naruko thought while smiling slightly, being able to see wisdom in his eyes from years of experience, like the late Sandaime Hokage.
Looking at the girl, Naruko saw she looked to be twelve-years-old, a year younger than her. With her having tanned skin, a slender, athletic build, long honey-blonde hair with princess curls held in a ponytail and stormy grey eyes. With her wearing the orange Camp Half-Blood shirt, grey pants that stopped below her knees and grey running shoes.
'She's…pretty.' Naruko thought while blushing lightly.
"Ah, welcome young one, it's good to see you awake. Please come join us." Said the second man while smiling at the whiskered red, snapping Naruko back to reality.
"Uh…yeah." Naruko said warily as she went over and sat down next to them, before the first man let out a tired sigh.
"I suppose I must say it. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. There. Now, don't expect me to be glad to see you." He said, making the Uzumaki frown at his attitude before giving him a dismissive look.
"Hm, did you say something?" Questioned Naruko, smirking slightly when he looked at her with narrowed eyes.
"Now then, I believe introductions are in order. I am Chiron the Activities Director and this is Mr. D the Camp Director. And this young lady is Annabeth Chase, she's the one that helped nurse you after you were found washed ashore on the beach." Chiron introduced, with Naruko blinking at the strange names.
"O…kay. I'm Naruko Uzumaki, nice to meet you." Replied Naruko, deciding to try and learn what she can before she figures out what to do next, once she knows where she is.
"Uzumaki?" Mr. D said, pausing for a moment at her name.
"Yeah. What about it?" Naruko said, wondering why he seemed interested in her name, only for him to sigh in annoyance.
"Lovely, like the brats here weren't enough of a problem." Muttered Mr. D, much to Naruko's annoyance.
"Annabeth, my dear, why don't you go and check on Naruko's bunk? We'll be putting her in Cabin Eleven for the time being." Chiron said, with Annabeth nodding as she pushed off the railing.
"Sure Chiron." Replied Annabeth before she turned towards the Uzumaki.
With Naruko unable to help but tense slightly under her gaze, seeing that while her eyes are pretty, they were also rather intimidating. Even more so with the way she's looking at her, as if she's already thinking of the best way to take her down in a fight.
"You drool when you sleep." Annabeth stated, causing the Uzumaki to give her a dry look.
"Do you normally watch people while they're sleeping?" Questioned Naruko, catching Annabeth off-guard at the question.
"N-no! You just…" Said Annabeth, only to stop as she tried thinking of a response.
"I mean hey, I don't judge other people's hobbies. I just don't think you should go around telling people what they do in their sleep, it might freak them out knowing they're being watched." Naruko said with a shrug, much to the blonde girls annoyance.
"I don't watch people sleeping!" Annabeth said, only for the Uzumaki to smirk teasingly at her.
"Does that make me a special case then? I'm flattered." Naruko said, making Annabeth's face turn red before she quickly sprinted down the lawn rather than respond.
"Definitely an Uzumaki." Mr. D muttered, getting Naruko to look at him.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Said Naruko with a frown.
"Just that you seems to have a talent for pushing buttons, Natalie." Said Mr. D, with Naruko's eye twitching at this.
"It's Naruko." Naruko corrected.
"Whatever Nancy." Mr. D replied, much to the whiskered redheads annoyance before she turned towards Chiron.
"So you said I washed up on the beach?" Naruko asked, with Chiron nodding in response.
"Indeed, you were found early in the morning two days ago and rushed to the infirmary. You've been sleeping since then." Said Chiron, surprising Naruko that she's been out for two days.
"Okay. And where I am exactly?" Questioned Naruko, hoping she's not too far from the Land of Fire but with the winged horses and half-goat people, she doubted she's close to home.
"Camp Half-Blood is located along the northern shore of Long Island." Chiron replied, only for Naruko to blink in confusion.
"Uh…and how far is that from the Land of Fire?" Naruko asked, with Chiron being confused this time.
"She's from the Elemental Nations, Chiron, she won't understand half of what you're talking about." Said Mr. D boredly, surprising Chiron while Naruko looked at the Camp Director.
"You know about the Elemental Nations? How do I get back to them?" Said Naruko, wanting to know how to get back home.
"Ah, that…might difficult young Naruko. You see you are…no longer in your own world." Chiron revealed, much to Naruko's shock.
"What?! How can I not be on my world? And what do you even mean my world?!" Naruko said, now completely confused at what's happening.
"You're currently on Earth, in a separate reality from the one you know. As for how you were brought here…that would be due to one of your parents." Said Chiron gently, knowing it's always a shock for demigods from other worlds to be brought here.
With Naruko freezing at hearing this, both at the fact she's apparently in a different dimension, but also that one of her parents brought her here.
"One of my…parents? They…brought me here? They're…alive?" Naruko asked while feeling faint at hearing this, having always believed her parents were dead.
But now she's hearing one of them is apparently alive and from another world, one that they've been living in this entire time while she was left alone.
"Yes, I'm sure it must shocking for you to learn and even seem impossible, but it's true. Even more so when I say that you are the child of a god. Making you a demigod, half-mortal and half-god." Said Chiron, knowing that will be an even greater shock.
Naruko fell silent at this, though her eye twitched slightly before she suddenly began giggling lowly only to soon begin laughing loudly. Making Chiron look at her in concern while Mr. D glanced up from his cards.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh that's a good one! A god?! That's hilarious!" Naruko laughed, no longer sure if she's actually awake or if this all some grand delusion.
"I assure you this is no joke Naruko." Chiron said, not surprised that she wouldn't think any of its real.
"Oh, but it is! It's one giant joke! And I'm the fucking punchline!" Said Naruko as she stopped laughing just as quickly, with her eyes flashing solid red and her sclera flashing black as she scowled in anger.
"If any of this is true, then not only is one of my parents alive, but they're a god! Then where the hell were they?! Why weren't they ever around?!" Naruko demanded, wanting to know why her so-called "godly" parent never bothered to show up.
"I'm afraid that is a complicated matter. Even for demigods born here on Earth, the gods are rather…distant in the affairs of mortals. But for those born in other dimensions, they are normally left to their own devices to grow without the worry of the knowledge of being demigods." Chiron explained, only for the Uzumaki to scoff.
"Oh, well how great is that?! What, that means I'm not important enough for them to even visit?! Then why the hell am I here?! If they don't care, why did they drag me from my home?!" Said Naruko, her anger only growing with each passing second.
"Calm down, girl." Mr. D said while looking at her with narrowed eyes, being able to feel her Chakra and something else in her growing more chaotic, knowing if she doesn't relax it'd be dangerous.
But from the wisps of red Chakra coming off her, he knew that she's no ordinary Ninja.
"Don't tell me to calm down, you drunk asshole! I want to know why I'm her-" Naruko said, glaring at Mr. D next as she got angrier at how he thought he could just order her around.
Before the whiskered redhead then she looked into his eyes, which had turned from a watery, bloodshot blue, to a clear, blazing purple inferno. Feeling herself shaking as she saw visions of people being strangled by grape vines, pirates screaming as they were turned into dolphins and warriors driven mad as they slaughtered each other in a frenzy.
The closest thing Naruko had to compare this to is when her team encountered Zabuza, the sheer bloodlust and killing intent he radiated. That he would be able to kill them at any moment and there wasn't anything they could do to stop him.
But this…god, Naruko knew killing her would be no different than swatting a fly for him, even less than that.
"Calm. Down." Mr. D said before his eyes returned to normal and the visions ended, allowing Naruko to breathe as she shakily sat down.
"Who…who are you?" Naruko asked warily, now knowing despite his appearance, he's the most dangerous person here.
"Dionysus, God of Wine, Madness and Parties. But do be careful, names have power." Warned Mr. D, with Naruko nodding slowly before looking at Chiron again.
"Why…why am I here?" Naruko said, no longer feeling angry, now only feeling sadness and sorrow.
That one of her parents has been alive this entire time, that they're apparently a god yet they never once tried meeting her. It only reminded her of all those moments, seeing other kids with their families, going home and being greeted, having those that loved them unconditionally.
But for her, she was always alone, going home to an empty apartment, being isolated and feared, never knowing why she was hated for most of her life. The only attention being when she was treated as an annoyance for her pranks, which was still better than being treated like she didn't exist.
"It won't bring back the dead."
Naruko still remembered the Sandaime's words when she asked about her parents, and she had accepted it. She could live the knowledge they were dead; it was better than believing they were alive and didn't want her, she could at least pretend they loved her if they were dead.
But instead…one of them was alive, her entire life one of them was alive yet never once showed up. She would've given anything to be able to just meet them once, but…it seems they didn't want to meet her.
Chiron and Mr. D noticed how downcast the whiskered was becoming, looking like her entire world was falling apart, with the Trainer of Heroes frowning as he sighed.
"That…I'm afraid none of us can answer that. As I said, demigods of other worlds are normally left to their own devices, but there have been rare times they have been brought here. The reason always differ, the only one who can truly answer is your divine parent." Chiron said, which didn't help Naruko's mood.
"And who's that?" Naruko asked, wanting to know who her deadbeat parent is.
"I don't know. The only way to know who your parent is, is when they claim you. Which may…take some time." Replied Chiron, making Naruko lower her head.
"Great…first they basically kidnap me from my home, now they don't even bother telling me who they are." Muttered Naruko, wondering why they brought her here if they weren't going to reveal who they were.
"…Don't worry about it too much, if you were brought here then they'll likely claim you soon. The same thing always happens with you brats from other worlds." Mr. D said, with the Uzumaki looking at him for a moment.
"Thanks." Naruko muttered, doubting he was saying it to help, but it's at least something.
"As long it makes you stop moping, Nora. You brats are annoying enough as it is." Grunted Mr. D, not wanting to deal with a demigod being depressed.
"So…gods?" Naruko asked before turning back to Chiron, wanting to at least learn what she can about these "gods".
"Yes, the Greek Gods which you will learn about during your time here. They rule from high up on Mount Olympus; not the original Mount Olympus, mind you, which is still in Greece. But instead Olympus itself is the home of the gods, where the Twelve Olympians reside. Mr. D is one of them, though he's currently on probation for another century and unable to return to Olympus until it's over." Chiron said, making Mr. D grunt in annoyance.
"Don't remind me, another century putting up with these brats, it's a miracle I survived this long." Mr. D said, sighing while unhappily as he waved his hand, shocking Naruko as a tin can appeared out of thing air.
"What the hell?" Naruko muttered in disbelief while looking at the can, seeing it had the words Diet Coke on it, watching as Mr. D popped the cap on it.
"Yes, in addition to acting as Camp Director, Mr. D has been restricted from drinking any form of alcohol as part of his punishment." Chiron explained, shocking Naruko further.
"Who can punish a god?!" Naruko asked, wondering how that makes sense, only for Mr. D to sigh in annoyance.
"Who else girl? My father, Zeus! God of the Sky, Lightning and Thunder, Justice, blah, blah, blah and so many other things, as well as the King of the Gods. Father certainly loves to punish me; the first time was Prohibition, a terrible ten years! Then the second time he sends me here, "Be a better influence," he told me. "Work with youths rather than tearing them down." Ha! Unfair I say." Mr. D said while sipping his soda, as Naruko could only shake her head at everything happening around her.
"So…what exactly am I supposed to do here then?" Questioned Naruko, wondering what she's supposed to do here until…whatever it is she was taken here for happens.
"We shall get to that in time. But for now, I believe we should see about getting you settled and familiar with the camp." Said Chiron as he smiled kindly before he began standing up, much to Naruko's confusion.
"What're you…do…ing…" Naruko said, confused at why he's trying to stand up, only to trail off as her eyes widened.
The blanket fell off of Chiron's legs, but the legs themselves didn't move, instead Chiron kept getting taller and taller, much more than any normal person could be. And emerging from the wheelchair, was the lower half of a white stallion.
"…What?!" Said the Kyūbi, just as shocked as Naruko, as neither of them were sure what they just saw and what they now saw standing right in front of them.
"What relief, it feels good getting a chance to stretch myself." Said Chiron, glad to be out of that chair, before smiling at the stunned Kunoichi.
"Now, come along, Naruko Uzumaki. Let's introduce you to the rest of the campers." Chiron said before trotting off, with Naruko following after him in stunned silence.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Naruko waking up in a strange place much to her confusion, while remembering what happened. Having been a year into her training trip with Jiraiya when he decided to loosen the Eight Trigrams Seal, despite Naruko's protests. Leading to the Kyūbi taking control and nearly killing Jiraiya, before it and Naruko are suddenly taken from their world by something.
With Naruko finding some new clothes, including a shirt with Camp Half-Blood on it, leaving her confused at where they ended up, even more so when they get outside and see where they are. Before she meets Chiron, Mr. D and Annabeth, leading to Naruko learning she's not only in a strange place but an entirely new world, having been brought here by one of her parents who she also learns is a god.
Something that leads to Naruko nearly having a mental break at the knowledge one of her parents is alive and a god, but that they never bothered to once reveal themselves, only to then suddenly take her away from her home for who-know-what reasons. With her only calming down after Mr. D forces her to, knowing they couldn't have her going berserk.
Finally we see Naruko getting some information about the new world she's been pulled into, before Chiron takes on a tour of the camp, much to her shock when he reveals his true form. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support. For those that don't or at least don't like the direction taken, you're more than welcomed to drop the story. But thanks for giving the story a chance anyway.
