A/N: I've always wanted to write a fanfic for the 2023 Teen Titans cartoon. It is my favorite media from DC after all, but I've never had a good super hero idea that I've stuck with long term.

Disclaimer, I do not known DC and thus do not own Teen Titans. This is just fanfiction. I do own the OC that appears here, Kylin, however.

Be sure to read the authors note at the end! Enjoy!

"Just because you got approved for release by the Justice League doesn't mean you're officially off the hook yet, kid."

The tan teenager in question huffed at that, muttering something as the police in question removed the insanely large handcuffs from the wrists and hands of the teen. The cop threw them into his car before looking down at the kid, clearing his throat before speaking again. "It's rare for someone to get pardon from the League, so be thankful. Honestly, I expected them to hold you much longer then they did, given we found you originally in a blown up laboratory."

"I told you people a hundred times, I didn't cause those explosions", hissed the teen. "My friend did, before I stopped her."

"Right, right", the second cop muttered, looking over the records he had in his hand. "Got quite a story, kid. You claim that the daughter of a scientist in the facility you were found in was causing the explosions with her uncontrollable super powers, and you- a slime, or so you claim that you're a 'slime', stopped her by accidentally fusing with her. Well, that might explain why you look a bit like a girl despite your papers claiming you're a boy, or is that just a cover story as to why you look like that?"

The teen glared with his red eyes, crossing his arms over his orange t-shirt and turning swiftly, causing his shoulder length aqua hair to fly up as he twirled. "I don't care if you don't believe my story. The Justice League did."

"Well, whatever the League decides to do is above our pay grade", the first cop muttered, sighing and shaking his head at his partner. "Either way, we brought you back to Jump City, as instructed by the League. Don't give us a reason to hunt you down, kid."

"So that's it?", asked the proclaimed slime, turning back to them. "You're just going to leave me on the street with no home to go? No where to return to? The facility was blown up, remember? That's where I lived for my entire life!"

"Come on, kid", muttered the second cop, who looked over his records again. "You gotta have a home somewhere, and a family. You got a name after all, Kylin Scott. There's gotta be someone you can turn to."

Sensing that nothing he said was going to be believed, all Kylin did was sigh, kicking his brown boots into the ground and causing the dust of the streets to stick to his black pants. "I'll find my way. I got my friend's powers and form when I absorbed her, after all. I'll manage."

The first cop snorted before shaking his head again. "Regardless of how you got those powers of yours, you better be careful how you use them. We got eyes on you, plus the Justice League told us they got surveillance on you to make sure your don't go overboard. Don't give us a reason to arrest you, or call in the-"

"You won't need to bother", Kylin muttered. "I told Kaylee before she died that I'd fulfill her dream, and before you ask, it doesn't involve anything bad. You'll see me around, but I'll be no trouble." On that somber note, he turned and walked away from the cops, leaving them feeling a bit bad about grilling him too much. He sighed as he rounded the corner and began walking towards a large building that seemed to be a pizza place, given the structure's look. Pulling out a small, brown wallet that was provided to him by the Justice League, he looked inside and saw that he had a few 100s lined up in there, provided by the Justice League, since apparently one of their biggest funders was Bruce Wayne and he had money to throw around. At the very least, maybe he could get a pizza and inquire about working there, before looking for somewhere to at least crash the night.

Suddenly, he thoughts were interrupted by a massive crashing sound, and Kylin whirled around to see that a large crater had formed behind him, with a bunch of green smoke emerging from the center of it. Standing within the bellowing smoke was a teenage looking female alien, looking extremely pissed off and bound in handcuffs similar to the ones Kylin himself was wearing just a few moments ago. She was wearing silver and black warrior like armor, and her eyes were glowing an angry green as her red hair whipped around a bit, the girl descending from the rubble.

"Slopforn ivortmat!", she yelled in a language that Kylin didn't understand, advancing on some of the people and scaring them off. "Slopforn! Ond gudshik zerrole!"

This isn't good, Kylin thought to himself. She's clearly lost and confused, and not of this country… or world for that matter. I should attempt to approach her to make peace, before-

At that moment, a dumb civilian snapped a picture of her, the flash causing her to temporary go blind, which made the already mad alien even more enraged. She began to swing wildly, aiming at everyone and anyone within her reach. Kylin gripped his fist at that, and realized that now he was going to have to act before she actually hurt someone.

Ok, I don't want to hurt her, and I'm getting getting used to these atomic energy powers. Maybe a light zap. He held out his hand, and a reddish orange energy blast shot forth, slamming into the alien, but to the shock of the young teen the stranger was barely phased. After being attacked, she decided that someone who could fight back was a much better target then the running humans, and charged forward at the challenger, swinging at him and screaming in her unknown language at him. "Zop yark mesnef!"

"I have no idea what you are saying to me!" Kylin shouted at her, dodging every swing. "But I cannot let you hurt these people! Now if you would just-"

But before he could finish his sentence, she slammed her cuffed hands into his hip, sending him flying into a parked car nearby. Kylin hit it hard and groaned a little as the alien flew over to a nearby pickup truck and hit it as if hitting a golf ball, sending it flying towards the dazed teen. Gripping his fist, Kylin's skin suddenly changed into a light blue coloration, taking on more of a jelly like appearance as his arm stretched out, crossing the street and grabbing onto a nearby light pole before retracting and pulling him towards safely, the truck hitting the car he was just again and causing an explosion. The girl zipped forward, about to resume her assault before suddenly she was struck by something.

Kylin turned to see that on the roof of a parked car was the individual who threw the object, his black hair was spiked upwards and his eyes covered with a white mask that had a black outline, consoling his eyes and thus identity. He wore green tights and a red shirt with a yellow R outlined in black on the left breast. A black and yellow cape flapped in the wind as he gripped his fists staring at her, causing his green gloves to wrinkle. "Who are you?", the newcomer asked in a serious tone.

The fighting continued, and Kylin had to admit this new teen, despite not using any sort of power and just using gadgets and acrobatics to fight her, was pretty good. The alien finally launched another car, causing the circus boy to dive out of the way, landing right next to Kylin.

"She's stronger then she looks", he muttered.

"Tell me about it", Kylin replied.

"Any idea why she's here?", he asked the slime in a authoritative tone.

"No", the orange shirt wearing teen answered. "But those cuffs on her hands would indicate that she's-"

Once again, Kylin was interrupted, this time by the alien whipping them both across the face with said cuffs and sending them flying. Irritated that he was interrupted for a second time, Kylin ran forward and slammed his fist into her stomach, which actually caught the alien off guard and sent her backwards. Seeing his chance, the red and green wearing teen took out a fighting staff and went on the offensive, landing a hit on her that sent her into a parked car, but the staff crumbled in his hand from the hit, catching him by surprise. Clearly her body was resilient to be able to crumble his staff.

"Zota", the alien growled with fury, giving them both a malicious smile before leaping at them, though her trajectory was interrupted by a green bighorn sheep suddenly ramming into her a full speed. Suddenly, right before their eyes, the teen transformed into a short teen boy, with green skin, a black outfit with magenta trimming and outlines, wearing a magenta and grey hood that masked his eyes. He saluted the acrobatic teen, seeming like a solider awaiting orders from a leader.

"Ex-Doom Patrol member Beast Boy, sir! How can I help?", he spoke before his eyes suddenly went wide as he stared at the Boy Wonder. "Wowzers! You're Robin, aren't you, sir?"

"Well, you can start by not calling me 'sir'", replied the boy.

"Uh, guys?" Kylin started, pointing over at the recovering girl. "Can we talk and admire one another some other time?" Robin turned, opening his mouth as if he was going to tell Kylin he wasn't admiring no one, but he saw Kylin was pointing towards a even more pissed off alien girl, and realized that this was indeed not the time to be talking. The girl had picked up a bus, and threw it line drive directly at the three boys, who dodged out of the way. A broad figure with a grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants jumped in the way, jumping and catching the bus with a metallic clang, as if he was also made of metal. He struggled a bit, but managed to slow down the bus enough to put it down, before turning and glaring around with his single human eye, and metallic red robot eye, part of his face also metal.

"Yo!", he shouted at no one in particular. "Who's here messing up my neighborhood?"

"She started it!", Beast Boy replied pointing.

The alien slammed her fists into the ground again, this time sending pavement and cars flying, with a police car flying forward, Beast Boy just looking up at the car flew at him and not having time to react and dodge. Acting quickly, Kylin reached out, his jelly arm suddenly shooting forward and warping into a slimy wave substance, surrounding the car and absorbing it completely, before retracting back to him and turning into an arm once again, completely ignoring the looks of bewilderment he was getting from the large stranger, Beast Boy and Robin.

"DUDE", shouted the grey hooded large teen. "DID YOU JUST EAT THAT CAR WITH YOUR JELLY ARM?"

"I did", replied Kylin. "I am a slime after all."

"Hehe, jelly", Beast Boy poked his arm, which earned him a glare from the slime before his skin turned back to tan and the jelly structure of it went back to a normal arm, causing the green teen to frown and let out a "aww".

The alien wasn't done yet, however, as her last assault caused the cuffs on her hands to fall off, smoking and dented. Despite her arms still being together, her hands were free and she raised them up, sending bolts of green energy flying everywhere to assault them. Kylin held out his hands and created an orange energy shield, deflecting some of the blasts, though he couldn't cover them all, forcing the others to dodge as her blasts damaged buildings, parked cars and everything else they could hit. Robin had taken cover behind the bus, while the grey hooded teen and Beast Boy took cover behind some torn up pavement.

"Girl's gonna wreak the whole city", the hooded teen stated.

"I won't let her", Robin growled, socking his fist into his palm. "I won't lose this fight." At that, he charged forward, backed up by the others before suddenly a giant, black bird of energy shot out of the ground and caught them all off guard.

"Might fighting isn't the answer", a female voice behind them said. Kylin turned to see a blue cloaked teenage girl standing there, the only thing visible beneath her hood was her grey jaw and mouth, and her purple eyes.

"Stand down", Robin muttered.

"What, are you the boss or something?" Kylin hissed at him.

"Just give me a chance", shot the self-proclaimed leader.

While Kylin couldn't hear the conversation going on, he did see that the tights wearing teen eventually did get the alien girl to lower her guard and calm down, before he walked up and effortlessly picked the lock of the cuffs she was wearing. She rubbed her wrists before grabbing the human and kissing him, shocking the four onlookers observing the situation. She finally pushed him back, her eyes glowing green again before she spoke, but this time in English. "If you wish not to be destroyed, you will leave me alone!" And with that declaration, she flew off, leaving the five teens looking after her in bewilderment.

"So, I'm Beast Boy. Who are you?"

"Is this really the time?", Kylin asked the shapeshifter, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Well, whoever she was, the girl sure knows how to make an impression", the large teen muttered.

"I think we made a pretty good impression ourselves", Beast Boy declared, grinning. "Crazy space girl's gone, the city's saved. Mission accomplished, right sir?"

"Seriously, stop calling me that", Robin sternly ordered, earning himself another salute and a "roger" from the green one. Robin then turned and began to walk away, not even looking back at the others. "Looks like we're done here. I appreciate the help."

"Hey, I was the one fighting her first before you came in", Kylin stated, glaring as he crossed his arms.

The girl in the cloak watched the Boy Wonder waking off, before realizing the direction he was headed in. "You're gonna track down the alien?"

"I have to find out if she's a treat."

"More like find out if she'll give him another kiss", muttered the slime, turning back to the other two, as Beast Boy had ran off to talk to Robin. "Seriously, though, thanks. I don't know if I could've handled her by myself."

"It's no problem", the grey hooded teen replied. "I still wanna know how you ate that car, though."

"Like I said", Kylin replied, turning to his humanoid slime form. "I'm a slime."

"You mean… actually a slime, or just have the power to turn into a slime?", the blue cloaked girl asked, as she stared at him in wonder along with the African American teen.

"You guys want to get a pizza?", Beast Boy asked, suddenly reappearing after Robin gave him the cold shoulder.

"I shouldn't", came the reply from the girl, who pulled her cloak tighter and began to walk away. Kylin had half a mind to go after her, but something within him told him that wasn't a good idea and that she wanted to be left alone.

Not one to back down, Beast Boy just turned to the other two and grinned. "Just us then, huh? Cool. I, uh, haven't really had anybody to hang out with since I quit the Doom Patrol. This is going to be fun! Can we play a video game?"

At that, the large teen gave a growl, before yanking down his hood and glaring at the green one. "There! Take a good, long look! I had an accident, and now, I'm a monster, alright? A cyborg!"

"Is that your name or something?" Kylin asked, looking him over.

"Er, guess I hadn't thought of a new name, but I guess so", the now dubbed Cyborg replied, looking at Kylin. "You… aren't scared?"

"I'm a slime", was all the teen gave as a response. "If anyone here can be classified as a 'monster', it's me."

Beast Boy, meanwhile, was staring at the robot in amazement. "Cyborg? Cool! You're like Robot Man 2.0!"

"You're both weird little dudes, you know that?"

"Hehe, you called me dude", came the reply from the green boy. Cyborg and Kylin both lingered for a few more seconds, before Cyborg finally pulled his hood back up and left. Kylin turned back to full human again, sensing that no one really wanted anything to do with the other and concluded that instead of sticking around with the green one he would leave and figure out where to stay for the night, before coming back and getting pizza. Ignoring Beast Boy's constant 'dudes?' from where he was standing, he thought about what just happened, and if in the future he would have to fight more aliens in the future.

"DUDE!"

The urgency of the shout from Beast Boy caused Kylin to turn around, and look into the sky where the changeling was staring in horror. A giant ship was hovering in the air barely touching the skyscrapers of the city, and while Kylin couldn't see the whole thing, he would bet the money in his wallet that the nose of the ship was a giant cannon that could destroy the planet. At that moment, upon hovering over a small island just off the coast of the city, a hatch opened and shot out a cylindrical capsule which ended itself into the island rock.

"Looks like Space Girl has friends", Cyborg said, looking over at the island.

"Or enemies", Robin pointed out, having come back upon seeing the giant ship. A beam of blue energy shot out of the cylinder that landed on the island and revealed the hologram of a light blue lizard looking alien with dull yellow points and underbelly.

"People of Earth", the lizard man announced. "We come to your planet hunting an escaped prisoner, a very dangerous prisoner. Do not interfere, and we will leave your city with only minimal damage. But if you attempt to assist her, your destruction will be absolute."

"That's a big ship", Cyborg muttered, as the capsule opened and many aliens flew out of it towards the city.

"And those are some scary looking aliens", Beast Boy added on, though he didn't seem scared at all.

"They told us not to interfere", Raven pointed out in a monotone voice.

"You're still going after her, aren't you?", Kylin asked, looking over at Robin, who nodded while watching the aliens fly towards the city.

"Can we come, too?" Beast Boy asked with excitement.

Surprisingly, Robin smirked at that. "I suppose I could team up, just this once." At that, he turned and lead the way, with Cyborg and Beast Boy following promptly. Only the girl hesitated, causing Kylin to turn and look over at her.

"You coming?"

At that, she frowned. "I'm not the hero type... Trust me, if you knew what I really am, you wouldn't want me around."

"I think we know enough to know that you're a good person deep down", Kylin said to her with a smile, causing the girl to smile back and begin walking with him. "I'm Kylin by the way. What's your name?"

"I go by Raven."

"Wait, go by? So what's your real name?"

"Nice try, slime. But we won't be that close."

XxXxXxX

The lizard aliens were searching the city in mass, ripping roofs off of cars and smashing building windows in an attempt to find the slightly orange skinned girl. Robin looked around the corner, watching the aliens with the others slightly behind. "Alright, we need some way to track-"

"She's near", Raven suddenly said, earning four puzzled looks from the others as she went a bit flush. "I can sense things."

"I'll see if I can pick up her scent", Beast Boy declared, shifting into a bloodhound and beginning to sniff the ground.

"There's a sonic analyzer built into my arm", Cyborg said, holding out his arm and looking at the display built into it. "If she's around, I'll hear it."

"I got her trail!" Beast Boy declared, sniffing more and heading off.

"And I can hear her heartbeat", Cyborg stated, following Beast Boy along with the others. They got out of the ally and into the next street over, where they spotted a giant hole blasted into the side of a video store. Upon entering, the young alien was devouring candy, though she was leaving the wrappers on and taking shovel fulls at a time into her mouth.

"Um", Beast Boy sheepishly mumbled, catching her attention. "Those taste better without the wrapper."

At that, she wiped her mouth and turned, growling and holding up her hands again which were covered in green energy.

"It's alright", Robin calmly said as he held up his hands defusingly. "We're friends, remember?"

"Friends?" She snarled as she advanced. "Why? For what purpose did you free me?"

"Just trying to be nice", came the response from the spiky haired teen.

"Nice", the girl pondered as she mulled the word over in her head for a few seconds before finally speaking again. "We do not have that word on my planet. Closest we have is 'rutha', which means weak!"

At that, Kylin gave a huff raising his own hand and generating orange energy within it, his eyes also glowing fully orange. "Well, around here nice means exactly what it says on the tin, which is 'nice'! So, if you want us to keep being nice, you better tell us why the Lizard People are after you and took you prisoner."

Kylin thought that his threat would warrant an attack, and was fully prepared for Round 2, however she must've recognized their strength and cooled off, her eyes revealing their normal green appearance and she lowered her hands, causing Kylin to do the same as she spoke again. "Not prisoner. I am... prize. The Gordanians deliver me to the Citadel, to live out my days as their servant."

"And the citadel are...?" Raven began, however just by her face they all seemed to know her answer.

"Not nice."

"Then you're not going with them", Robin declared, gesturing towards himself with his thumb in confidence. "Not if I have anything to say about it."

"Don't you mean 'we'?" Beast Boy asked.

Before anyone could say anything more, something exploded on the wall to their right and sent them flying backwards a bit. Several Gordanians stood there, with the front one pointing and shouting "Seize her" at his men, who rushed in. Instantly the six teenagers rushed forward and met them head-on, and effortlessly began to take our the hordes of lizard men, who were no match for the might of the teenagers. Once or twice, one of them were in trouble once they took their fight to the street, but another of the rag-tag team had their back almost instantly, dispatching of the lizard who had the upper hand before the situation could be capitalized on. Finally, after several minutes of fighting, the remaining conscious Gordanians fled in terror, leaving the six teenagers to watch them go.

"I believe your expression is 'thanks'", the alien girl said, though she was not smiling.

"Aw, man, my suit!" At that, Kylin turned to see Cyborg's metallic body was now fully exposed, with only some humanoid skin in certain patches such as his biceps, right side of the face and mouth remaining. The rest was silver and grey metal with blue plating.

"So?", Beast Boy grinned, looking him over and giving the thumbs up. "You look way cooler without it."

At that, Cyborg huffed and spoke sarcastically. "Yeah. Like I'm taking fashion advice from the guy in the goofy mask."

"Goofy?", Beast Boy asked in crushed tone. "My mask is cool, isn't it? Raven? Kylin?" Both teens shook their head at that, causing Beast Boy to pull at the mask a bit. "But, what about my secret identity?"

"What secret identity? You're green!" Raven commented. Beast Boy raised a finger to object to this, but finding no counter point to this, just decided to take off his mask, revealing his green spiked hair.

"This isn't over", Robin pointed out as he rejoined the others. "Now that we've interfered-"

"Trogaar will strike harder", finished the former prisoner. "It is only a matter of-"

Now it was her turned to get interrupted, as the beam from the island reappeared and the image of the King lizard alien filled the sky once again. "Fools! The Earth scum were warned. Your insolence will be punished. Your city shall be destroyed!" At that, the main ship in the sky suddenly reappeared again, the main gun at front pointed directly at the ground and beginning to glow with a reddish orange light.

"Great", came Raven sarcastically as she stared up at the super weapon.

"So, after trashing a pizza place and a perfectly good video store, now we've managed to make a humongous space gecko mad enough to vaporize our entire town?" Beast Boy asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Go team", came the sour addition from Cyborg.

"All the fault is yours!", roared the alien girl. "I commanded you leave me alone, but you insisted upon the being nice!"

"My fault?" Robin shot back, glaring at her as she glared back. "You blast me, you kiss me, but you never stop to mention that they have a gigantic particle weapon?" At that, the two dissolved into a shouting match, with their voices blending together and becoming nothing more then noise for the onlookers.

"We are doomed!" Beast Boy shouted, rounding on Cyborg suddenly. "I can't believe I let you talk me into this!"

"Say what!?" Cyborg yelled back, now causing them to begin to fight.

"So, are we supposed to fight now?", Kylin muttered, rubbing the back of his head at the cloaked girl next to him glared at the four in irritation. "Cause, honestly, I don't think-"

"QUIET!", Raven yelled, her voice echoing across the city streets and causing the four formally arguing teens to turn and stare at her. Timidly, she waved at them. "Hi."

"You are simply adorable sometimes, you know that?" Kylin bluntly said to her, causing the goth to panic a bit and, unknown to all of them, make a manhole cover fly up into the air.

Robin sighed and assumed his leadership voice once again. "Look. It doesn't matter how we got into this mess. We're in it, and we will get out of it, together." Looking over them all, he got a nod from each one of them, causing the self-proclaimed leader to smile. "Come on. We've got a city to save."

XxXxXxX

A mass of black energy filled a hallway in the ship, before vanishing and revealing the six teenagers, who had traveled within it onto the ship curtsy of Raven. Upon the dark energy disappearing, Beast Boy shivered. "That dark energy stuff gives me the-", but he was cut off by sensing Raven looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "Uh... I mean, it's cool!"

Ignoring the mutterings behind him, Robin looked out into the other hallway from where they were standing. "We have to get to the firing controls. There isn't much time."

With that, he ran off with the alien and Beast Boy, leaving behind Raven, Cyborg and Kylin, who remained behind with the former in particular looking down and covering her eyes completely.

"Why are you always by yourself?", Kylin asked her, looking concerned at his new friend.

"You heard the kid", she muttered in embarrassment. "I don't exactly fit in."

Cyborg and Kylin looked at one another for a brief moment before Cyborg spoke next. "He's green, half of me is metal, she's from space-"

"And I'm a slime", Kylin finished. "I think you fit in just fine." With Raven giving a soft smile and following after, the six crept around on the ship until finally coming to the central cockpit of the entire ship, where the muffled voices of those inside could be overheard.

"Begin the firing sequence", the leader's voice came. "The Earth scum shall learn, it takes more than six juvenile heroes to defy the mighty Lord Trogaar!"

At that, the door was blown off it's hinges to reveal the six teenagers, who were standing there ready to do battle with the fearsome aliens. "We're not six heroes. We're one team." Trogaar snarled at that, before a great battle commented on the ship's main control room. Unlike last time, however, it seemed like the more powerful Gordanians reminded behind on the ship because the battle was not as easy as it was the last time. A slight upper hand was given to the heroes at first, but Beast Boy was knocked out first, forcing Raven to save and protect him for most of the encounter. Even Robin got his ass handed to him a bit, forcing the red-headed alien to come in and blast the lizards, together with Cyborg. However, the King quickly proved himself the strongest of them, knocking Kylin behind Raven early and wounding Robin to the point where he held his arm, kneeling near Cyborg and Starfire who were sent his way too.

"Can you rewire your arm into some kind of weapon?" Robin asked, looking at the arm on Cyborg containing the sonic analyzer.

"I can try", responded Cyborg. However, several powerful Gordanians stood before them all, and with Cyborg distracted, Robin injured and the alien on her last leg, hope seemed lost.

"Get away from my friends", Raven snarled, holding her hand up to the lizard men. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Suddenly, a giant explosion occurred, which caused the ship to fall from the city and into the ocean below them. Enraged, the king stood to see everyone save for himself and the six teenagers were knocked out, and he turned to round on Raven and kill her first for her part in the battle. Kylin weakly stood and attempted to get in front of her, however before he could a blue blast shot the king in the back, sending him falling down and out of commission. Standing behind him was Cyborg, who's arm was transformed into a sonic cannon, outstretched and still steaming a little from the blast.

"All right, I'm only gonna say this once", the robot said as he grinned "Boo-yah!"

I don't think that'll be the last time we hear that, Kylin thought to himself.

XxXxXxX

Without the mothership, the metal capsule on the small island just outside the city had been abandoned and powered down, leaving just the steel structure in it's wake. Five of the six teens, the ones from Earth anyway, found themselves looking out towards the city they just protected, admiring the view that the island gave them.

"That's quite a view", Raven commented.

"Somebody oughta build a house out here", Cyborg stated, agreeing with the goth girl.

Beast Boy smiled at that, grinning and digging his elbow into Raven's side. "Yeah, if you like sunshine and the beach."

At that, Raven laughed a little. "You know, you're kind of funny."

The mistake was seen instantly, as those words alone caused Beast Boy to go starry eyed and perk up like a toddler told he can have whatever candy he wanted. "You think I'm funny? I know some jokes!"

Seeing Raven's face had fallen, Kylin stepped in. "Maybe some other time, like... far off some other time."

"Please", came a voice behind them, and while Kylin recognized who it belonged to, the tone of it threw him off for a moment. The alien girl had changed into a violet outfit with lavender accents, with boots that rose up to her mid-tight, a skirt that only just didn't meet those said boots, and a top that exposed her middrift, and gloves that went up to her elbows. A silver armband adorned her right arm, and the neck piece contained a green jewel. "I look... nice?"

Robin took a moment before he replied, dodging the question completely. "I still don't know your name."

Translating in her head, the alien stepped forward to join the group. "In your language, it would be 'Star Fire'."

"Starfire", Robin repeated. "Then, welcome to Earth, Starfire."

"I thank you all for your bravery and help, and I wish to ask permission to remain here", Starfire smiled, looking over them all before finally her eyes landed on Robin. "Where the people are most strange... but also most kind." At that, both teens blushed and looked away from one another.

"You don't need our permission", Raven said with a smile.

"But if you want our friendship, you've got it", Kylin added on.

"Guess we could all use some new friends", Cyborg said, coming forward with the rest of the group.

"Besides, we kind of made a good team", Beast Boy suggested, grinning.

"I thought we might want to keep in touch", Robin then held out four, circular shaped devices with a black antenna on them. "So Cyborg and I designed these. When there's trouble, you know who to call."

Kylin took his communicator and gave a smile, for the first time since he unfair arrest feeling like he had a home and people to turn to. And perhaps, he would use this island as a future home, after all the view was perfect and he was sure his new friends would come see him anytime they wanted to.

Little did he know, however, that he wasn't the only one eyeing this location for a home.

A/N: So, a bit about Kylin (pronounced K-Lin, the Y is silent); the name is a gender neutral Gaelic name, so I thought it would fit for what is essentially a gender neutral, androgynous character. Slimes are genderless after all (though Kylin says he's a boy, which will be explained later on). Kylin draws inspiration from a few source, with the biggest one being Rimuru from That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime. As for his powers, I'll most likely have a chapter solely dedicated to explaining his powers and origin, just for now this chapter is establishment of setting and story in general, but when I post a picture of Kylin on Deviant Art I plan on having a 'power summery' section as well.

Now, I am sure you're curious as to what Teen Titans episodes I am going to include. Mostly, I plan on including whatever Kylin being involved would affect the most, with the exception of some episodes that are important to the overarching story, such as this one. Original side stories involving Kylin will, of course, be involved. After all, his origin and powers do need explaining, and an overarching villain for him will be part of the story. I will say for a fact that episodes like Forces of Nature and Switched most likely won't be in, since Kylin won't change too much in them.

Anyway, that's all for now! Hopefully I won't take too long getting the next episode out! Until next time, later!
