At the girlish sound of Kagome softly giggling and sighing dreamily to herself, Gojo's eyebrows drew in as he paused finishing the text message he was writing. What's got her so happy? Or, and for some reason he didn't really like the thought of it… Who?

There were ways that he could think of that could get a female to make those sounds. He pouted slightly.

Casting her a sidelong glance and tucking his phone into his pocket, he slid closer to where they were sitting together at a picnic table off the side of the field. Over in the distance, his darling pupils frolicked as they kicked around a soccer ball with Panda, Maki and Inumaki. If he was honest, he liked these moments the best, when they could all just act like normal kids. Not that he would admit it to anyone.

It was turning into a bit of a free for all when Kugisaki suddenly jumped onto Itadori's back, eliciting a loud shout from him as she held on for dear life and he began running around trying to shake her off. Gleefully she laughed, the sound floating on the mild breeze back to them, and another giggle escaped Kagome.

Resting her chin on her palm, she was smiling tenderly.

Gojo leaned in further, his leg brushing hers and he craned his neck around to get into her line of sight. "What are you thinking about?" he asked bluntly.

Kagome jerked away, startled by his sudden closeness, and nearly toppled backwards off the bench. Quickly, he swooped an arm around her waist and dragged her upright, putting them nose to nose.

"G-Gojo-san!" she squeaked, pressing a hand to his chest. Pink bloomed across her nose and cheeks, eyes darting back to the students to see if they were watching this rather intimate looking embrace. "You don't have to get so close!" In his grasp, she wriggled around with embarrassment.

"But I like it, Kagome-chan~!" he teased. His smile was vulpine. "You don't have to be shy now!"

She blinked owlishly at him, something flashing in her eyes before seeming to get a grip on herself, and her eyebrows furrowed with consternation. "You're being an idiot!" she huffed, leaning as far away as she could with him still holding on. "Can you please let go." An eyebrow was starting to twitch. It was unnerving not to be able to see his eyes through the sunglasses he was wearing. The color in her face darkened. Gojo Satoru was a shameless flirt.

Sighing, with a pout, Gojo released her and she scuttled away to the other end of the bench. "Awe, don't me mad," he tutted, "Please tell me?"

Kagome eyed him with distrust. "I don't want to."

"Pleeeeeeeeease~! You're so mean Kagome-chan!"

Slamming her hands down on the table top, she yelled, "I said no! Can't a girl just… I don't know… have her own thoughts!"

His lips puckered and he stuck his tongue out, making a raspberry sound in her direction. "You're no fun."

Kagome quirked an eyebrow in his direction. "Oh, really?" she deadpanned. With a sniff she stood, primly brushing off her skirt and collecting her bag. He was pointedly looking away, mimicking her former posture with his chin propped up on his palm. Her own hand curled up and she wanted nothing more than to punch him in the head, lamenting his damn infinity. Oh, he could touch her whenever he wanted, but she'd never get the opportunity to give him his reckoning.

Turning on her heel, she stalked off. Perhaps she was overacting, but she didn't really want to tell him what she had been thinking about.

3…2…1—

Gojo appeared in her periphery, hands in his pockets and an easy smile on his face. "You know I don't mean that."

"Mhmm," she said tightly.

"Where are you going?"

"Away from you."

"But you love my company!"

Kagome rolled her eyes up to the heavens and breathed in deeply. This man. "Fine, if I tell you will you stop harassing me?"

He clapped his hands together happily, "Of course, Kagome-chan!" He was like a kid in a candy store. Appropriate since he loved sweets.

Her gaze turned back towards the students in the field, who had stopped and were watching them. In fact, they appeared to be coming over now and she pinched the bridge of her nose.

"All I was thinking about—" she paused, feeling embarrassed. She looked down at her feet, "—was that it's nice to see them like that. Even though they're grown up, they're sort of like our kids. I was wondering what it would be like to maybe have one someday."

Why was she telling him this? Heat creeped up her neck. He makes enough fun of me as it is!

From underneath the fringe of her eyelashes, she watched his response, waiting for him to burst out laughing. He seemed to be mulling her words over carefully, then slowly a sly smirk pulled the corner of his mouth up. He stepped towards her, gathering her small hands in his larger, warm ones. "Our kids?"

Kagome balked, then realized how that had sounded. "Wait! No! That's not what I meant—"

"Gojoooo-sensei!" Itadori's voice echoed towards them. "Are you arguing with Kagome-san again!"

The students, all six of them, lumbered over.

"N-Not arguing!" Kagome said loudly, trying to pull her hands away. His grip tightened.

Leaning down, Gojo spoke next to her ear. "Why don't we have one?"

Her back stiffened, tingles exploding through all of her veins and she lost her breath.

"Gojo-sensei, why are you holding her hands?" Fushiguro asked slowly.

Kugisaki and Itadori eyes were sparkling. "Did you finally admit your feelings for each other?!"

Kagome tried again to tug her hands away, but he pulled her towards him. Falling into his chest, his arms quickly snaked around her in a tight embrace. "Did we, Kagome-chan~?" His cheek dropped to the drop of her head and he nuzzled.

She didn't answer. She had already fainted.
