POWER RANGERS MYSTIC FURY

CHAPTER ONE: EMERGENCY RECRUITMENT

It was the summer of 2023. The hot sun beamed powerfully on the small house in London. This house was the home of Harry Potter and his family. Yes, friends, this is the very same Harry Potter who ended the Second Wizarding War in 1998. The same Harry Potter who finally defeated Lord Voldemort. It was the twenty-fifth anniversary of the end of the Second Wizarding War. "I'm so glad you got the day off, Harry," said Ginny, his wife, as they sat in the sitting room. Harry was reading today's issue of The Daily Prophet.

"Yeah," he said in a very happy tone, "it's good to get a day off from finding rogue Death Eaters. Oh, look! Your article on the Wimbourne Wasps is here! Blimey."

Ginny grinned. "One of my best pieces, if I do say so myself," she said proudly and hugged her youngest child, Lily, who would be in her third year at Hogwarts. "Hey, Lily. Where are your brothers?"

"They're out in the back garden having a duel." Lily said. "They love their defensive magic, those two."

"Yes, they really do," said Ginny. "How about you go help Twinkle in the kitchen? He's making some chocolate gateau and treacle tart if you want to learn." Lily excitedly ran into the kitchen to help their family house-elf. "I have to admit, I am pretty jealous of you."

Harry was taken aback at her words. "Jealous? Of what?"

"You get to go off catching Death Eaters every day at work, don't you?" she asked. "I mean, besides the paperwork and stuff, you get to go out and arrest them and take them back to Azkaban. I would love to do something like that, but, no. I chose to be a sports editor for the newspaper!"

"Should have gone for your Auror license." Harry said. "I told you that before you got the job at The Daily Prophet." Ginny wasn't upset. She knew her husband was right. "Hey, you get to travel all the time when you're out doing interviews and stuff. That's pretty cool, too."

Ginny laughed. "Yeah, it is fun to travel. I mean, I get to meet all sorts of Quidditch players from all over the world." Harry nodded. "Well, I'm sorry for being jealous. I mean, think of what you do. You're out there dueling the Dark Wizards that once tried to kill us when we were at school." Harry frowned, now. "How cool is that?"

"You think it's cool to put my life in jeopardy everyday at work?" Harry said incredulously. "Bloody hell, Gin! I'm not some loose-cannon Auror out seeking danger. I've had enough of that back at Hogwarts." Ginny's eyes narrowed dangerouusly, but Harry stood his ground. "I don't see..." His voice trailed off as he looked up. A bright blue light appeared in the room. A hole appeared in the light and what looked like a web of energy burst out of the hole. Along with the energy web came a figure dressed in white with a red chestpiece, legs and mask. "What the hell is that?"

"I am sorry to bother you, Harry Potter," the being said in a deep and commanding voice, "but this is something we need you and your friends to assist us with."

"Um, there's only two of us at the moment," said Ginny. "Can you tell us what this is about?" The being simply stared at her. "Can you tell us your name?"

"I am Master Red," he said, "one of the Morphin Masters, guardians of the Universal Morphin Grid." Harry and Ginny shared a confused glance at each other and looked back at their visitor. "Give me a second, please." The red crystal in the long white staff he wielded glowed and three beams of light landed in ther oom. The beams turned out to be Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger-Weasley, and Neville Longbottom. "Welcome, friends."

"Okay, can someone tell me what just happened?" Ron demanded. "First thing I know, I'm helping George at the shop in Hogsmeade and then I find myself here!"

"I was working at the Ministry when I was transported." Hermione said as she looked at her surroundings. "Harry, what are we doing at your house?"

"All of that will be explained." Master Red said to the newcomers. He repeated his introduction and went on with the tale he was about to tell them. "A very powerful evil force has escaped containment and is now at war with a group of warriors called the Power Rangers. The evil force I am referring to is Lord Zedd."

Hermione, as was her custom, raised her hand. Master Red, taken aback, nodded at her. "Isn't this the same Lord Zedd who tried to conquer a small town in California called Angel Grove? Didn't he take over command when Rita Repulsa failed to fulfill his orders?"

"The very same." Master Red answered her. "Lord Zedd was purified during an event called the Z-Wave." Seeing the group's confusion, the Morphin Master elaborated. "The Z-Wave is what we call Zordon's sacrifice. In order to destroy the United Alliance of Evil, Zordon had the Red Space Ranger, Andros, shatter the energy tube he resided in, causing a wave of pure energy to spread across the universe vaporizing all evil beings and purifying those who still had good in them. Lord Zedd and Rita were two of the few to be turned human."

"How is he still evil, then?" Harry asked.

"A powerful monster who controlled time called Reaghoul traveled back in time to when Lord Zedd was at his most evil and took him to the present day to battle the Power Rangers team calling themselves Dino Fury. We, the Morphin Masters personally gave Zayto and his first team the tools to fight the Sporix Beasts during the time of the dinosaurs, but they were unable to defeat them until just a few months ago. Anyway, Lord Zedd helped the Dino Fury team's main adversaries and was defeated the first time. The second time, however, Lord Zedd found the location of the Red Ranger's homeworld called Rafkon. The generator that unleashed the Sporix was still on that planet and Zedd destroyed it.

"After Rafkon's destruction, Master Green encased Zedd in a crystal prison. Unfortunately, Zedd has escaped and is attempting to start a mass invasion of the universe with a new partner."

"What do you want us to do about this?" Ginny asked Master Red. "If this is such an emergency, why call on us?"

"Your magic may be our only hope in stopping Lord Zedd." Master Red explained. "We have a 'Morphin Master in-training' so to speak, but our magic will weaken his physical body until he joins the Morphin Grid for good."

"Bloody hell!" Neville gasped and then became serious. "Okay, then. If that's the problem, then we should help. Harry, this is your call."

Everyone looked at Harry, who looked stunned at them. "Well," he said in a resigned tone, "I guess if you're all for it, then I'm in, too." He looked up at Master Red. "Well, do whatever you have to." With a nod, Master Red's glowing staff shot five beams of light at them. Harry felt something on his left wrist. "What are these?"

"Those are your Mystic Fury Morphers." Master Red explained. "They are the tools needed to transform you into your Ranger forms. Now, to activate your Mystic Orbs. Just squeeze your orb in your hand. Channel your inner magic into it." Harry and the others squeezed the small white orbs in their hands. Each of their orbs glowed from within their fists. When the five opened their hands, their orbs had turned into small colored spheres with an animal inside. "Place your orbs into your Morpher and close the hatch. To activate the morphing sequence, just say 'Link to Morphin Grid.'"

"Okay, let's do it, then." Harry said. The five flicked their orbs into the air. "Mystic Orbs, activate!" They closed the hatch on their Morphers. "Link to Morphin Grid!" Harry felt a surge of power flow through him as he watched a red material appear on his body. It looked as if it were Spancex, but he was unsure. His vision darkened a little as a helmet appeared on his head, finishing the transformation. "Wow! This sure feels powerful!"

"So, now what?" Ginny asked Master Red. "I love the suits and all, but you said we need to fight this Lord Zedd. Where is he?"

Master Red waved his hand and a new portal appeared. "This is the planet called Zordnia. As you can see, there is a huge battle going on there."

Harry looked at Ginny and smiled under his helmet. "Weren't you just saying you want some action like what I do?" he teased. She playfully shoved him to the side and he got serious. "Let's go then." The five Mystic Fury Rangers followed Master Red through the portal. "Whoa! This looks pretty bad." Harry said as he got a good look around the place. Explosions were going off everywhere and blasts of purple, red, blue and other colors flashed. "Shall we join the battle?" The other four nodded, though Neville looked a little scared. "What's up, Neville?"

"It's just...this is not exactly what I expected. Going off to another planet millions of miles away from home, you know?" Neville said in a shaky voice. "What about our jobs?"

Ginny turned her head to look at her friend. "Really?" she said. "The whole universe is at war and you're worried about your employment?" Neville gulped. "Look, I get that you're worried about home, but you have to understand the universe is what we're protecting and that means our home, too!"

Neville nodded. "Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry, guys."

Harry patted Neville on the back and said, "Come on, then. Let's go help the Rangers over there." He looked over at the team of Dino Fury Rangers who were fighting the silver soldiers. "I'm only counting five, but no Red Ranger. Strange. Isn't there usually supposed to be a Red Ranger?"

Hermione's eyes went to where Harry was looking and said, "Well, let's worry about that later, okay? Do you mind if I come up with a plan?" Harry held up a hand to say something, but she cut him off. "Yes, I know that our plans don't actually work. I believe your exact words were: 'when have our plans actually worked? We plan, we go there and all hell breaks loose.'" Harry was silent. "Am I right?" He gave a slow nod. "Well, this plan will work. Trust me."

With a heavy sigh, Harry said, "Okay, what's your plan?"

"Those things are robots from what I can see." Hermione said, pointing at the silver creatures fighting the former Rangers. "That means they will be tougher than anything we've ever faced. I suggest we hit them hard with our Mystic Fury Sabers and, if we're far enough away for long-range attacks, use the blaster modes to fire our spells at them."

Harry gently clapped his sister-in-law in the back. "Right. Let's go! Mystic Fury...go!" The five new Rangers Apparated from where they currently were to where the Dino Fury Rangers were battling. "Hi, there!" Harry said as his blade struck one of the silver creatures in the chest. Sparks flew from the impact of his blade and the thing fell to the ground. Dino Fury Pink tilted her head in confusion. "Sorry to just jump in like this."

"Who...what...huh?" Dino Fury Pink said as Harry struck down a few more. "Behind you!"

Harry quickly transformed his sword into a blaster. "Reducto!" The impact of the red blast caused the creature to explode on impact. "Blimey, that was unexpected." He turned to Pink. "Again, sorry for the sudden assistance. Introductions later."

"Uh..." Pink said slowy, "...if you say so."

Meanwhile, Hermione was helping Dino Fury Blue. "Hello," she said as she kicked one of the silver creatures away from him. "Mind if I cut in?"

"Another Power Ranger?" Blue said in surprise. "Whoa!" Hermione smiled at his surprise and nodded. "Thanks for the help." He looked over to see another Blue Ranger fighting off the same creatures a little farther away. "Hang on. Billy Cranston? The original Blue Ranger! He's the founder of Cranston Technologies! We should see if he'll let us help him!" Hermione shrugged and they ran off to help the veteran Ranger. Blue slashed a few of the creatures down. "Wow! Billy Cranston! It's an honor to meet you!"

"Likewise," said the older Ranger and looked at Hermione. "Hmm...a new Ranger. The Morphin Masters must've been really desperate for us to win this war."

"Yeah, we just sort of got thrown into it." Hermione said. "Master Red came to our leader at his home, gave us our powers once the rest of us joined in, briefed us on the situation and brought us here." Billy nodded. Hermione looked around and asked, "Where's the rest of your team?"

"They're on Earth," said Billy. "Unfortuantely, they're out of communicator range, so I won't be able to get in touch with them, so I'm grateful for your assistance, both of you."

"No problem." Dino Fury Blue said in a cheerful voice. "Always happy to help."

Meanwhile, off in the distance, Lord Zedd watched over the battle with Bajillia Naire, owner of Squid Ink, Inc., and he wasn't happy. "Your forces are being defeated," he told her. "Do something."

"Of course." Bajillia said with a laugh. "I have a Squidrill with more Zentinels ready for deployment. "

Zedd took a while to notice the new Rangers on the battlefield. "What?" he snarled, his hands shattering his drink glass. "New Rangers?" He turned on Bajillia. "How did you not know?"

Bajillia took a few steps back. "The Morphin Masters must have recruited more Rangers to join."

"This is not what I had in mind!" Zedd growled. "I should go and meet the new Rangers, then. Come, Bajillia. Bring your best general." Bajillia called for a Copyguard to join them, and they made their way to the Rangers. "I see you have some new friends, Rangers. Allow me to introduce myself. I am..."

"Yeah, yeah," said Harry in a bored voice, "you're the Emperor of Evil and you're here to destroy us, right?" Zedd growled angrily at the interruption. "Look, I've faced one person multiple times that called himself a 'Dark Lord', and he met his end years ago. You're just the same as him: a power-hungry, pompous git who doesn't know when to quit."

Zedd's body glowed red with rage. "You...insolent...FOOL!" He shouted the last word and a blast of orange energy flew from his staff, missing Harry by inches. "You dare talk to Lord Zedd in such an insolent manner! You will pay for that!"

"You know," said Dino Fury Blue, "I really miss having Zords right about now."

"Okay, so we don't have Zords," said Pink, "but we do have our other arsenal at our disposal."

Blue nearly smacked himself for forgetting. "You're right!" He opened the buckle on his belt and held what looked like a figurine in his hand. "Cosmic Dino Key, activate!" He flipped the figure until it was a key and placed it in the mouth of the dinosaur on his sword, which he closed and opened four times. Harry watched in awe as his upper torso was clad in black and white armor. "Cosmic Gateway, activate!" He pointned the sword in front of him and a portal opened.

Harry watched as Pink unleashed a powerful kick that sent a few Zentinels through the portal. "That was brilliant," he said to her. Pink thanked him.

"I grow impatient, Bajillia," Zedd warned the entrepreneur. "You better fix this or it will be you floating through space!"

"Doodrip!" Bajillia yelled. "Attack those Rangers!"

Doodrip was a creature who had a serpent motif and whose right arm was basically a cannon. "Doodrip?" Dino Fury Green said in a mocking tone. "What kind of name is that?"

Doodrip furiously retorted, "Stop making fun of me!" and fired a blast of blue liquid that hit the Rangers. "That should wash your insults away."

"Oh, yeah?" Harry said as he stood up. "How about we turn up the heat?" He turned his Mystic Saber into its blaster mode and fired a blast of reddish-orange energy at it. The blast hit Doodrip, but didn't do much damage to the monster. "Okay, that didn't seem to do much."

"What is this stuff?" Ron said in disgust. "It's revolting!"

The monster laughed stupidly. "That slime will turn you all evil. There's nothing you can do!"

"You fool!" Zedd growled at the monster. "That slime was meant for that Blue Ranger!" Zedd pointed at Dino Fury Blue, making all of the Rangers there look at the Ranger in question.

Sure enough, to the remaining Rangers' horror, the Blue Ranger turned around and said, "Now it's your turn for a one-way trip." He activated the Cosmic key again and opened another portal, this time kicking the Red Ranger, who looked mostly like the Dino Fury team besides him wearing a white cape that the other Rangers didn't have, through it.

"Stop right there!" Harry said to the Blue Ranger. "Petrificus Totalus!" The spell hit the Ranger and he fell backward, completely immobilized.

"Is he...?" Pink said in a shaky voice.

"No, I basically froze him." Harry explained. "It's called the Body-Bind Curse. How about we get out of here and see if we can reverse that slime's effects?" Pink nodded. They watched as Zedd fired the monster from his forces at the same time. Harry looked around and saw a man near a boulder. "I better go and help him." Harry said and ran off.

Hermione sighed. "There he goes, doing his 'saving-people' thing," she said shaking her head bemusedly. "That's the problemwith our leader. He's always putting himself in danger." Ginny tapped her on the shoulder and pointed at a metallic being who appeared with a large metal contraption. "What the...?" She gasped when the metal being pressed a button on a control panel. The contraption basically sucked the six Morphin Masters into it. "Oh, no!" she gasped.

"The Morphin Masters!" Pink said in disbelief. "Theyre...they're stuck in that thing!" She looked up in the sky and saw Master Red flying around, trying to avoid the blasts from the machine. "Come on, Master Red!" The blast hit Master Red, but not before he threw his staff to the Black Ranger.

"Guys, I just saw something..." he said. "I think the staff just telepathically showed me a stone pedestal...it had some strange markings on it...like animals."

Pink nodded. "Let's go!" The ten Rangers teleported and Apparated to where the Black Ranger was shown just before Zedd attempted to blast them with his staff.

Furious, Zedd turned to Bajillia. "They got away! We need a new plan."

"Don't worry, Lord Zedd," said Bajillia confidently, "without the Morphin Masters, those Rangers are without support, and, with a Squidrill looking for them..."

"It will be a matter of time before I conquer the universe!" Zedd finished with a tone of satisfaction. "Very well. You, boy, will go after the other Rangers. Stop them and don't let them escape." Dino Fury Blue nodded and teleported away.

The Dino Fury Rangers and the Mystic Fury Rangers appeared ten or so yards away from what they were looking for. "Okay, let's demorph." Pink said and she and the other Rangers pressed a button on their Morphers, causing their suits and helmets do disappear. Harry and the others did the same. "I think we have enough time for quick introductions. "I'm Amelia and these are my teammates Javi, Izzy and Aiyon. The Blue Ranger you just met was my boyfriend Ollie."

"I'm Harry Potter," said Harry to the Dino Fury Rangers, "and this is my wife Ginny, my brother in law Ron and his wife Hermione and our two friends, Neville and Luna." Everyone shook hands. "To shorten our story, we're wizards from England."

Izzy, a Hispanic girl with shoulder-length dark, curly hair, looked impressed and surprised. "Wizards?" she said, and Harry nodded. "Cool. Considering we just saw you blast Ollie with that Body-Bind thing and other stuff, I believe you."

Javi, who was slightly taller than Izzy, smiled. "So, Master Red went to your home in England just to get you to come all the way to Zordnia to help?"

"Yeah," said Neville, "we were a bit surprised, too. Harry and Hermione aren't full wizards, really." He saw the look of confusion on the others' faces. "Hermione's a Muggle-born witch, which means she had no magical ancestors. Harry is a half-blood, which means one of his parents was magical and the other wasn't."

Ron interrupted before any of the other team could say anything. "I'm still trying to grasp the fact that you," he said pointing at Amelia, "are in a relationship with that Blue Ranger."

"Hey!" Amelia said in a warning tone. "Ollie was good until that monster shot that slime at us, remmeber? He was on our side!"

"So?" Ron argued back. "Your boyfriend just sent your friend into space! Aren't you the least bit angry about that?"

"Yes, but I still care about him!" Amelia growled. "How would you feel if your wife got turned evil and did the same thing to Harry?" Ron lowered his eyes and went silent. "That's what I thought. Now, let's get back to the matter at hand. Mick, what are we looking at?"

"Well," said the man Harry helped out before they teleported, "this looks like the Altar of Zordnia, which is what Billy and I came here looking for before things got all...blast-y." Billy, who had also demorphed, nodded.

The eleven Rangers walked up to the altar to inspect it. "Is it just me, or does that marking in the middle look like a Megazord?" Izzy said to the others.

"Megazord?" Ron asked, confused.

"Oh, for Merlin's sake, Ronald," Hermione said impatiently, "a Megazord is basically a giant robot formed when the individual Zords are combined." Ron looked at his wife with admiration and surprise. "After hearing me talk about Lord Zedd with Master Red, you're seriously surprised that I know what a Megazord is?" Ron looked scared of her, now.

"I'm sorry to break up the argument," said Billy, though he didn't sound apologetic at all, "but, Izzy may be right. My team's mentor, Zordon, sent us here years ago to obtain the Shogunzords after Zedd and Rita managed to capture the Zords we once used before them."

"There's a legend of a set of ancient Zords called the Cosmic Fury Zords," said Mick, "but no one has been able to prove their existence...until now."

Aiyon, the Gold Ranger, looked at the altar again. "Hey...that looks like a place to stick a Master Staff!" he said, pointing at the altar. "Try putting the staff in, Javi."

"Wait." Billy said as a bolt of lightning struck the altar. "That lightning holds a tremendous amount of power...an amount that only a Morphin Master could handle." Mick took the staff from Javi. He looked up and saw a Squidrill approaching. "We have company." The Squidrill transformed into a humanoid robot. "Big company."

"Er, Hermione," said Ron in the same high-pitched voice he used when they arrived, "do you have an idea on how to stop that thing?"

"Not at the current..." Hermione said and gasped when she saw Javi grab the staff out of Mick's hands just as the Squidrill fired a blast at them. "What are you...?" It was too late. The Black Ranger placed the staff in the slot. Another bolt of lightning hit but, this time, it was powerful enough to knock Javi and the staff away from the altar. Amelia and the other Dino Fury Rangers ran to Javi, who lay a good ten feet away with the staff beside him. "Is he...?"

"No," said Harry after pressing an ear to Javi's chest, "just knocked out. He's stable, but unconscious." He looked up, as did everyone else, to see that what the Black Ranger did worked. "They're amazing!" he said in awe as the six Cosmic Fury Zords flew through the sky, firing their weapons at the Squidrill that threatened them. As the new Zords did their job, Harry and the others noticed that Javi was coming to. "Good. You're awake."

"Did it work?" Javi asked everyone around him and then saw the Zords flying and shooting the Squdrill. "Whoa! They're awesome!" He looked at his right arm and tried to sit up. "My...my arm! No!"

"Can you fix it?" Izzy asked Hermione. "Please tell me you can fix it!" she begged, tears forming in her eyes.

"I won't know until we get more information on the situation." Hermione said, shaking her head. "I'm no Healer or doctor, but I'd say this is pretty serious."

Ron looked concerned as he said, "Looks like his arm disintegrated from the lightning." Javi immediately started hyperventillating. "What...?"

"He's going into shock!" Billy said in a worried tone. "Mick, take Javi away from here. Get him to safety." Mick nodded and helped Javi out of the area. "We need to take that Squidrill down."

"Right." Harry said. "Do you mind if I say it?" Billy gave a nod and Harry, in a loud, commanding voice, called out, "It's Morphin time!" The four Dino Fury Rangers took out their Dino Fury Keys while the Mystic Fury Rangers called on their Mystic Orbs. In one voice, the nine Rangers called out, "Link to Morphin Grid!" and were morphed.

"Triceratops!" Billy called out and was morphed into the Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger. "Okay, let's get the Zords."

"Right." Amelia said. "Everyone take a Zord and let's go!"

"We still haven't worked out how to get ours, yet!" Ron whined. "Hermione?"

"Let me try." Hermione said, though she sounded unsure. She raised a hand to the sky and called out: "Mystic Fury Zords, power up!" She gasped when the orb in her Morpher glowed blue. "What the...WHOA!" Out of the sky, five giant mechanical animals appeared: a red Manticore, a blue Kneazle, a yellow Thunderbird, a black Tebo, and a white Unicorn. "Great Merlin's ghost!"

"Aren't they beautiful?" Luna said breathlessly. "A unicorn!"

Neville sounded disappointed when he spoke. "What is mine, exactly, a warthog?"

"No," said Hermione in her usual know-it-all tone, "that's a Tebo. They're highly dangerous magical creatures. They're in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander."

"My husband, Rolf, is his grandson." Luna said proudly. "Rolf works for The Daily Prophet as the Chief Consulting Magizoologist." Harry looked at her with pride. "I was supposed to be out looking for magical creatures with him, but I'm here."

Ron gazed at his Zord in awe. "A Thunderbird?" Hermione nodded slowly and Harry could tell her jaw was dropped under her helmet at the sight of it. "Wicked!"

Harry couldn't believe his own eyes. "A Hippogriff!" he choked on the word, reminiscing on the same beast he once befriended back when he was at Hogwarts named Buckbeak. Hermione put a comforting hand on his shoulder and squeezed it. Harry looked at her and nodded. "Right." Harry said once he composed himself. "Let's go!" The five leapt innto the air and landed in the cockpit of their new Zords. The control panel was pretty simple. He saw what looked to be an aircraft throttle to control the Zord and two red buttons on the handles of the throttle for the weapons. "This is Harry. Hippogriff Zord is ready to fly."

"Thunderbird's ready." Ron said through Harry's comms.

"All systems operational for the Kneazle Zord!" Hermione confirmed and giggled a little. "Kinda looks like Crookshanks except blue and much larger."

"Tebo Zord, ready to rumble!" Neville announced.

Unicorn Zord, all ready." Luna said, finishing off. "Let's see what these Zords can do."

Harry steered his Zord to face the Squidrill and pulled back on the throttle. The Hippogriff raised up on its hind legs and struck the Squidrill with its talons. "Oh, I love this thing!"

Hermione's Kneazle Zord ran at the Squidrill and chomped on the evil machine's arm, causing sparks to fly from the impact. "I have a good hold on it, but I'm not sure how long I can keep this up."

Neville and his Tebo Zord charged at the giant machine. "Tebo Zord, coming at you!" he said and rammed the Squidrill hard causing it to stumble back. "Take that, you menace!"

Ron was having fun flying around in the Thunderbird Zord. "Thunder Blast!" he called and pressed a button on the control panel. His controls were like Harry's. A blast of yellow lightning hit the Squdrill, causing it to spark. "Okay, Luna, go!" Luna's Zord came charging at the Squidrill as well, its sharp horn piercing the tough metal exterior. "Good one!"

"Okay, Rangers," said Harry, "let's combine." He pressed a combination of buttons and watched as all five Zords started the sequence. The Hippogriff flew into the air and hovered upright while its hind legs folded behind it at the knees and the front legs folded into a hatch in its chest. The Tebo lay down, it's front and back legs folding under and into its body which moved upward while the head remained on the ground. The same went for the Unicorn. Neville and Luna joined Harry in a much larger cockpit as their Zords became the legs of the Mystic Fury Megazord. The Thunderbird's wings folded inward and a hand protruded out of its mouth as it connected to the left side of the torso while the Kneazle's legs folded under its body like the Tebo and Unicorn and, like the Thunderbird, a hand came out of the Kneazle's mouth as it connected to the right side forming the right arm. The Hippogriff's head lowered down onto the chest revealing a more humanoid head to complete the combination.

"Mystic Fury Megazord, ready!" the five Mystic Fury Rangers announced in unison.

"This is brilliant!" Ron cheered. "Look! The other Rangers are combmining, too!"

"Wow!" Harry said as he watched the five Cosmic Fury Zords combine. The Cosmic Lion Zord's head twisted around so the large red orb that served as a cockpit for Amelia was in front. The Cosmic Wolf and Cobra Zords formed the legs while the Cosmic Shark and Chameleo Zords formed the arms. "That's one magnificent Megazord!"

"Thanks, Harry," said Amelia thorugh the comms. "Your Mystic Fury Megazord looks sweet!" Harry thanked her. "Okay, let's do this. Cosmic Shark Slash!" The Cosmic Shark's nose glowed bright yellow as it slashed at the Squidrill. "I'm not leaving this planet without Ollie!"

Harry nodded. "You heard her, guys," he said to his team, "don't hurt Ollie." The others gave a nod of understanding. "Let's take this thing down, but be careful." He activated the Megazord's weapons. "Mystic Thunder Blast!" A blast of yellow electrical energy shot from the left hand's fingertips and hit the Squidrill. "Okay. That went better than expected."

"How about this one?" Neville said as he tapped a few buttons on his controls. "Mystic Tebo Kick!" He pushed forward forward on the control sticks and the left leg kicked the Squidrill hard in the legs. Hermione made the right arm punch the Squidrill, knocking it back a bit. There was a black mark from the punch. "Yes!" Neville cheered.

Harry watched as the Cosmic Chameleo Zord's tongue wrapped around the Squidrill, holding it tight. "What are they doing?" he asked Hermione, who shrugged. He tapped the communcation button on the panel and said, "Amelia, what are you guys doing?"

"We're trying to hold the Squidrill so I can get Ollie out!" Amelia said desperately. "He's putting up a fight." She grunted as the Squidrill struggled against the tongue wrapped around it. "Oh, great!" she groaned as the Squidrill broke the tongue binding it. "Not good."

"Don't worry," said Billy, "I have an idea." The Chameleo and Cobra Zords swapped positions. "Activating Cosmic Cobra Fang attack." The Cobra's fangs dug into the Squidrill, holding it still. "We don't have a lot of time, Amelia."

"Right." Harry heard Amelia reply. "I'm opening a communication channel to the Squdrill. Ollie, I know you can hear me. We're charging up the Cosmic Mega Blast. Surrender now."

Harry hung his head as he heard Ollie refuse to surrender. "Amelia..." he started to say, but he was interrupted. "Blast!" he yelled, slamming his fist on the control panel. "What is she doing? Billy?"

"She teleported to the Squidrill to get Ollie out before we destroy it." Billy explained. Harry heard Amelia give the command to finish the Squdrill, which the Cosmic Fury Megazord did.

"Okay, guys, let's do our final attack." Harry commanded. "Mystic Fury Mega Saber!" The Hippogriff's wings detached from the back of the Megazord and formed a huge red sword. "Mystic Mega Fury Strike!" The Mega Saber's blade ignited with red fire and the Megazord swung it horizontally. The Mega Fury Strike and Cosmic Mega Blast both hit the Squdrill, which fell and exploded. Harry leaned back in his seat breathing heavily. "We did it."

"Mystic Fury Rangers," said Amelia from the Cosmic Fury Megazord, "would you like to join us at our base back on Earth?"

"Yes, that would be great!" Harry said. "Quick question, though. How are we going to get back to Earth?" Hermione, Ron, Neville and Luna all looked at Harry who shrugged his shoulders sheepishly.

Lord Zedd was given a Mega Squdrill by Bajillia, which had a throne on the bridge of the ship. "Squillia!" he yelled. "What is your report?"

"Those Rangers...both Cosmic and Mystic Fury..." she said, "...like, totally destroyed the Squdrill and took the Blue Ranger."

"Those Power Ninnies have foiled my plans for the last time!" Zedd snarled. "Send your best fleet to Earth and DESTROY THOSE POWER RANGERS!" He shouted while slamming his fist into the arm of his throne to punctuate each word. Squillia promised she would follow his orders. "You better, or you will not like the outcome." Squillia squeaked in fright and followed Inkworth, the butler, and the Zentinels out of the room.

The Cosmic Fury and Mystic Fury Rangers finally returned to Earth. The Cosmic Fury Zords returned to the Morphin Grid along with the Mystic Fury Zords. Harry and his team were in the main control room of the Dino Fury Base and they were amazed by the size of the main room. Although they were a little frightened of the Rangers' mentor, Solon, who was a cyborg Solonosaurus, at first, but they soon befriended her. Harry's team stood away from the others, listening to Tarrick, who happened to be Amelia's father, Mick, the other Dino Fury Rangers, and Amelia's Earth grandfather she called 'Pop-Pop', argued over what to do next. Amelia walked out of the medical bay after being in there with Ollie, who was under the influence of the Snooze Dino Key. Harry and the others immediately covered their ears when Solon, under Amelia's direction, opened her mouth and let out a loud roar that echoed throughout the base. That roar caused everyone to quiet down.

"Okay, let's face the facts here." Amelia said once everyone was quiet. Harry and his team joined everyone else around the large round control panel. "Lord Zedd is back with a huge fleet at his command and the Morphin Masters are out of commision, which leaves us with no help from them."

"Billy and I," said Mick in a hopeful tone, "contacted as many Ranger teams as we could around the globe, warning them of a possible invasion from Lord Zedd." He turned to Aiyon and added, "I promise, Aiyon, we will find Zayto. The Morphin Masters brought him back for a reason."

The medical bay door opened again and Billy came out. "Both Javi and Ollie are in stable condition." Billy announced. "Unfortunately, Javi is going to have to live with the fact his arm is gone. I'm sorry, but there's nothing anyone can do to reverse what that lightning did to him."

Izzy frowned. "He uses both hands to play guitar!" she said. "He's gonna be crushed when he finds out."

Solon, being the kind-hearted dinosaur she was, said, "Oh, don't worry. I'm sure I can whip up a cybernetic prosthetic arm for him. Once his body gets used to the new limb, he'll be back to playing music in no time." This did bring some encouragement to Izzy, but not a lot.

"I promise," said Lani Akana, Ollie's mother, "I will recreate the antidote that cured Ollie of Zedd's influence before."

"And," Billy said in a confident tone, "I can promise that, despite the day we all had, you will be able to handle anything Lord Zedd throws at you."

Harry stepped forward and added his own contribution to the cause. "We're here for all of you. For Earth," he said. "Now you have two teams of Power Rangers to battle Lord Zedd." Ron, Neville, Hermione and Luna all nodded in agreement. "What's the phrase you guys always say? 'Once a Ranger...'"

"Always a Ranger." Billy finished with a smile. "It's good to hear that phrase again."

Harry nodded and he and his team joined everyone else in planning to halt the coming invasion.

All right, readers. This is the first Chapter of Power Rangers Mystic Fury. I know you're probably wondering why I decided to cross Harry Potter and Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury over. Well, this story has been like a bug flying around my brain for ages, and I finally came up with an idea on how it will work. Yes, I realize that the Netflix series is only ten episodes, but I can promise filler chapters to make the story longer. I hope you enjoy the first chapter. It took some time to research and work in each detail that would make the story believable. Hopefully this chapter will be good enough for my readers.
