Hello and welcome to another experimental fanfic of Boku no Hero Academia, in which a new inspiration popped into my head in an unexpected way, and I decided to try this out while the ideas are fresh from my mind…

As season 5 of My Hero Academia is fast approaching, I decided to re-watch season 4, where I came across the School Festival arc, where Eri is shown to be in the midst of getting familiar with the outside world after being forcefully shuttered by Kai Chisaki.

In the anime, Midoriya and Togata acted as BIG BROTHERS to Eri, and there an idea popped into my head on who would act as the BIG SISTER to Eri, and that's where Itsuka Kendo popped into my head, and decided to try it out a she would get to act as a surrogate one-chan to Eri…

Moreover, this would be my first T-rated fic featuring Midoriya and Kendo as a pairing, so I'll see how the reception goes…

Ch. 1: Kongo no gakuen-sai

In the succeeding days following the Shie Hassaikai incident, Class 1-A had their usual routine, such as attending classes, listening to lectures, training to strengthen their Quirks, and the like. Things are pretty standard and so far things went well without incident, except that four of Class 1-A's students were shown on TV news about their involvement in bringing down Kai Chisaki's gang, in which the following students are shown:

- Izuku Midoriya

- Eijiro Kirishima

- Ochako Uraraka

- Tsuyu Asui

However, this earned the envious ire of other UA Academy students, as they blamed Class 1-A of attracting trouble due to the League of Villains attacking the school, and some students can be heard accusing Class 1-A of intentionally showing off and are doing this to attract villains so that Class 1-A would show off again.

"Class 1-A…"

"They're at it again…"

"Those fools…"

"They wanted to show off again…"

"Thanks to them villains are targeting UA…"

"They have no shame…"

"Those guys are attention whores…"

"Indeed…"

The next few days, Aizawa told Class 1-A about the upcoming school festival within UA, which some of the students were excited though Kaminari asked if this is a good time considering the recent events, which Aizawa said that while Kaminari made a good point, the homeroom teacher justified that the upcoming school festival will life the students' morale and make them forget the recent misfortunes that the other students are feeling.

In the minutes that passed, Aizawa appointed Iida and Yaoyorozu to discuss what kind of program Class 1-A would have for the school festival, which some gave varied suggestions which proved to be difficult to entertain given that some students have different ideas.

"A maid café!"

"A haunted house!"

"A marriage booth!"

"A pie-eating contest!"

"I say a maid café!"

"No way! A haunted house is better!"

"I want a marriage booth!"

"A pie-eating contest! That's the best!"

Aizawa sighed as he waited for homeroom period to end, and in the end Class 1-A is undecided and he leaves the classroom as Mineta, Kaminari, Ashido and Kirishima insists on the suggestions they made, and Iida tried to calm his classmates down to little avail.

"A maid café!"

"A haunted house!"

"A marriage booth!"

"A pie-eating contest!"

"I say a maid café!"

"No way! A haunted house is better!"

"I want a marriage booth!"

"A pie-eating contest! That's the best!"

A few days later, Midoriya visited the hospital along with 3rd year student Togata, as they paid a visit to Eri, as she is still under observation given what happened recently, and as the two UA students assure to her that she is now safe, Midoriya noted the trauma she suffered, and an idea formed in his head and invited Eri to come visit the UA school festival.

Togata smiled as he got the drift, and there he asked Aizawa, who accompanied the two students, for permission, which Aizawa wondered if this would work, and there he told Togata that he would have to consult with Nezu first before agreeing.

"Are you sure about this, Togata?"

"Yes, Eraser Head! It's the best!"

"…"

"What do you say?"

"I'll ask the principal first…"

"I'm sure the principal would agree!"

"Be patient, Togata."

"Sure!"

After visiting hours is up, the two UA students promised Eri that they will visit her again, and as they head back to Heights Alliance, Aizawa wondered if Eri would be okay as he learned that Eri has been shuttered from the outside world for a few years, and felt that Nezu might know what to do with this situation as Eri might get overwhelmed by such a festivity if she makes a sudden visit.

In the next few days Class 1-A came to an agreement that they will hold a concert at the school festival and while practicing, Togata paid a surprise visit and brought Eri with him, where Midoriya, Uraraka, Asui and Kirishima were surprised to see her, and there Togata told Midoriya that Nezu agreed to let Eri visit the upcoming school festival, and advised that Eri should visit the school a few times before the event so that she would slowly get used to the scenery.

"Really?"

"Yup! The principal said so!"

"That's great!"

"Yeah. He said that this would be a big help to Eri!"

"I'm glad…"

"Now we can help Eri regain her smile!"

"Me too!"

"Right!"

Togata then invited Midoriya to tag along as he will give Eri a tour at UA Academy, which Midoriya nodded, and so the two UA students went to UA Academy where they gave Eri some tour on what is around the school, and the six-year old girl was awed at the scenery she saw, as wel as seeing so many students working on the stalls they put up as the UA school festival will take place in a few days from now.

Along the way, Midoriya encountered Class 1-B's Awase, Tetsutetsu and Monoma, in which the latter began taunting the Class 1-A student after getting word that the rival section would do a concert, but is taken aback as Midoriya is tending to a startled Eri after seeing a props that resembled the pro hero Ryukyu.

There Monoma began to taunt Midoriya and suggested that he should be a babysitter instead of being a pro hero, which a chop to the head knocked him out, where the one who did this was none other than Itsuka Kendo, and there she apologized to Midoriya for her classmate's usual silly antics, though Midoriya assured that everything is okay.

"Sorry about that, Midoriya."

"Ah, Kendo-san."

"Really, Monoma is really a handful."

"Oh, don't worry about it."

"I'll see to it that Monoma won't bully you for the next few days or so."

"Um…"

"Leave it to me."

"S-sure…"

Awase and Tetsutetsu asked if Kendo being here means that she backed out, which she sighed and said that she decided to go for it given that it might give Class 1-B an edge, and she tells the two boys to take Monoma back to the dorms which they assured that they will.

Midoriya asked what Kendo mean about not backing out, and there the two boys revealed that Monoma PULLED SOME STRINGS and had Kendo participate at the school festival's beauty contest, and the two felt that this might work given that during the recent internship, Kendo amassed a huge following of fans during her internship under pro hero Uwabami.

Midoriya was surprised as he realized that Aizawa didn't mention anything about a beauty contest, and if that was mentioned he wondered who among Class 1-A would give it a try given that there are only six girls in their class.

He then saw Eri looking worried and he assured to her that things are okay, as he carried her in his arms and promised that she would enjoy her visit here at UA Academy, which slowly ease the worry off of the little girl.

"it's okay, Eri."

"…"

"I promise that UA will be fun to visit."

"R-really…?"

"Yes."

"Um…"

"You got nothing to worry."

"O-okay…"

Togata came back and said that they are going to give Eri some tour on the various areas that would be the highlight of the upcoming school festival, which Midoriya nodded and he tells Eri that she would get to see a lot of things, which the little girl nodded.

An upbeat Togata then tells Midoriya that they should pass by the 3rd year classrooms so that he would greet his fellow 3rd years given that he is on leave after losing his Quirk, which Midoriya nodded.

"We're going to visit the 3rd years."

"Okay."

"Want to tag along?"

"Sure."

"So let's go."

"Okay."

"Hold on to Eri."

"sure."

As the two UA students leave with Eri, Kendo is about to head off to the gymnasium when she saw Midoriya carrying Eri, looking like either they are like a parent and child or a pair of siblings, and this somewhat piqued her curiosity as it was the first time seeing Midoriya carrying a small child.

Setsuna Tokage noted that Midoriya would look like a teenage parent given how he carried Eri, and she wondered if there is something going on and why he is carrying a child all of the sudden.

"Look at that."

"It's the first time I see Midoriya carrying a child."

"Yeah."

"Still…"

"Makes me wonder if Midoriya is a secret parent or something…"

"Seriously?"

"Heh-heh-heh…"

"Come on, Tokage…"

Kendo stared at Midoriya, curious about what she saw, but then saw Eri cuddled onto Midoriya like a child clinging to her parent, and this made her more curious as she felt like wanting to know more, and Setsuna smirked and asked if she is getting jealous, which a blushing Kendo deny the accusation and told her not to make stuff like that.

"So, Kendo…"

"Huh?"

"Jealous?"

"Eh?"

"You want Midoriya to cuddle you?"

"Tokage! That's not funny!"

"Heh-heh-heh…"

"Seriouslky…"

After that, Setsuna and Kendo leave as the latter had to report to the committee in order to finalize her participation in the upcoming beauty contest of the UA school festival, and Setsuna is hoping that if Kendo winds, it would give a morale boost for Class 1-B.

Hope you liked this chapter, as the opening takes place between the aftermath of the Shie Hassaikai and before the school festival arcs, where Eri is the central point which Midoriya aims to help her regain her smile and would do what he could to help her overcome the trauma she endured, while at the same time would help her get used to the outside world that was denied to her during her captivity.

While Kendo had a minimal exposure here, she would play a bigger part in the upcoming chapters…and a possible romance with Midoriya, which hints would be shown in later chapters…

The UA school festival commences, and while Eri would get to see Midoriya's performance, she would also get to see what Kendo would do…and how she would play a part in getting Kendo to get closer to Midoriya…
