Author's Note: I've decided to do a couple of follow up stories to "Office Hearts". This being the first, with a few more to follow.

Chaldea Inc., Breakroom

Murasaki, while in the middle of her break, was currently brimming with excitement as she awaited her upcoming date with Emiya tomorrow night.

"You seem really happy, right now."

The teasing voice of Sei caught her attention, caused Murasaki to answer.

"Yes, I am.", Murasaki replied, while having a slight blush on her face, "It still surprises me that Emiya accepted my valentine, let alone invited me to dinner."

"We'll", Sei began, bearing an all-knowing grin. "If I didn't give you a literal push, the other day, you would have never gotten this golden opportunity. So, I believe a "thank you" is in order.", Sei exclaimed, leaning back in her chair.

"I still can't believe you did that.", Having an embarrased look on her face, Murasaki continued. "What would have happened if there were other emloyees around at the time? Everyone would be gossiping about me and Emiya, right now."

"We'll there weren't any, so not a problem." Despite giving her answer, and seeing her friend's still unhappy expression, Sei added. "Plus, remember, you've always been like that. Ever since we've been kids, you've always been too shy to talk or meet other people.

"Even so...", Murasaki trying to come up with a way to refute Sei's response.

Sighing, Sei, her expression becoming more serious, decided to futher explain her past actions.

"Look, I'm sorry that I did that. And you're right, I went alittle overboard, but you're my friend and I just didn't want you to miss your chance at getting with a guy you've been crushing on for months and later becoming upset if you ever found out about him being with someone else.", Sei frowned, hoping that her friend would at least have a better understanding about her actions the other day.

Murasaki was both surprised and greatful for Sei's reason.

"While, it is true, that there have been times you've been rather excessive or liked to tease me far too much, you are my oldest friend and I do see that you did want to help me. And I thank you for that, Sei." Murasaki said giving her friend a small smile, but then added. "Can you least inform me the next time you try something like that again?"

Sei simply gave an amused smile and a wink.

"I make no promises."

Murasaki sighed, thinking that was at least better than nothing.

"Sooo, where are you two going tomorrow night, anyway?" Sei asked, clearly wanting some juicy details.

"We'll...", Murasaki said, while tapping her forefingers together and looking at the floor. "...Unfortunatly, Emiya wasn't able to find any restaurtants that weren't already filled with reservations...

"Are you two just going to reschedule, then?"

"...Therefore I simply convinced Emiya, that we should have dinner at his place of residency instead." Sei's eyes widen as she shockingly yelled:

"WHAT?!"

Murasaki immediately tried to quiet her friend before they could draw any unnecessary attention.

"SEI! PLEASE! Keep your voice down!" Murasaki loudly whispered, as she covered her friend's mouth.

"Okay, I won't yell." Sei said, her voice dropping to it's normal volume. "I'm just surprised, that suggestion of yours is alittle too forward, and isn't like you at all."

Sei, out of anyone, knew that Murasak was raised to be a prim and proper lady. And what she heard was the kind of thing that said otherwise.

"It's just as you said earlier." Murasaki began, while Sei sat quietly, still very much surprised by her friend's new sense of boldness. "I simply didn't want to waste any opportunities that I have been given."

"While I'm happy you're being serious about dinner with Emiya...", Sei said, getting her friend's attention. "...You did remember to pick out an outfit for tomorrow, right?"

Hearing said question, simply caused Murasaki to widen her eyes in realization

"Wait, you seriously forgot to have something picked out?" Sei asked, wondering if her friend actually did forget to that.

Instead of answering, Murasaki simply nodded sadly.

"You're hopeless sometimes, you know that?" Sei muttered.

Murasaki could only nod in agreement.

Seeing that she was still upset, Sei decided to offer a helping hand. "Alright, I'll come by tomorrow and help you find something to wear. What time did Emiya say to be by his place?"

Happy, that there was now a chance to prevent any mishaps from happening, Murasaki pulled out her phone to double check when she had to arrive.

Scrolling through her messages, Murasaki found the last one, Emiya had sent her. "He said to arrive at his residence by 8 p.m."

"Perfect." Sei said, while grinning. "Meaning, we'll have plenty of time to find something."

"Sei, thank you again, for agreeing to help me, tomorrow." Murasaki said, as they both began to stand up, seeing the time on the wall cock, that their break was almost over.

"No, problem." Sei replied back, still grinning. "Besides, there's no way I can let your first date with your dream guy start off with a disaster."

As the two proceded to exit the breakroom, Murasaki could only pray that her date tomorrow wouldn't end in disaster.

Murasaki's Home The Next Day

True to her word, Sei, did arrive the next day to help find something Murasaki could wear, for tonight.

The results, however were...not going well.

Now, Sei, was never one to judge what others chose wear, but even she had to admit that friend certainly a unique sense of fashion.

The 1800's styled Victorian dress? While suitable for say, a cosplay convention, wasn't what some would say is "first date" material.

The long-flowing pink, red, and green kimono? Obivously was best wore for those formal get-togethers that the Shikibu family tended to host.

And don't get her started on her friend's choice of swimwear.

While, Sei was looking over Murasaki's clothes, trying to see if there was something, anything, that could work for tonight, the sound of Murasaki's voice drew her attention.

"Sei, how about this?" Said friend turned around, expecting to tell Murasaki to find something else, but didn't utter a single word.

As, Murasaki, mistaking her friend's silence for disapproval, prepared to put the selectedclothes away...

"Wait."

...hearing Sei speak, stopped Murasaki in her tracks, and watched as her friend took the clothes from her hand, to better examine them.

Giving an approving and a thumbs up Sei, only said one thing:

"We have ourselves a winner."

Alright, everyone that's the end of my second story. Expect the other sequels, real soon.
