This is a continuation of my story, Surviving Saiyans. If you have not read that yet, please go and read the first part.
For returning readers. This is my first Sequel! Woo!
The reason this needed to be a Sequel and not just a continuation is because while Surviving Saiyans was 30 chapters (give or take the Pro/Epilogue)
The story itself was only around 4 years' worth of content. There were flashbacks to previous years of course, which maybe count for a week and a half, and skipped years from when they were in stasis doing as little as physically possible. They weren't even ageing.
So this story is going to handle chapters differently.
When you see a new chapter, that means a significant amount of time has passed. At the very least they'll be a year older.
But to stop chapters becoming 50+ pages long with days or weeks passing between paragraphs randomly, what I'm going to do is have;
Chapter 1
Chapter 1.2
Chapter 1.3
Chapter 2
Chapter 2.2
Think of it like Seasons of a TV show. The episodes may take place over a few days sometimes, but only will a new season take larger liberties in advancing the year.
It was do things that way or do go this way;
Chapter 1
Age 751
Chapter 2
Age 751
Chapter 3
Age 754
Chapter 4
Age 759
Chapter 5
Age 759
If you're not a Dragon Ball fan invested in the deeper roots of the lore or played Xenoverse specifically, you'll have no idea what Age (number) means.
And I'm not Marvel. I'm not giving my readers homework to do between instalments to enjoy the current featureā¦
Excluding reading the first book, which honestly isn't too unreasonable.
It's bad form for a wannabe author to come out and tell you how to read the story. I get that.
But I want you to enjoy this. So I hope this understanding helps.
Also. I recently learned that Tuffles are named after Fruit, not Truffles.
Who the hell the why the F*CK?!
Stop it Toriyama! Freeza goons are fruit, Tuffles are Truffles.
Stop confusing things! This is hard enough!
but really I love your work and Dragon Ball obviously means so much to me so thank you so much for creating an inspiring piece of fiction that has been such a drive for me over the years.
