Author's Note: Hey there readers, if you are confused as to why there's only chapter now instead of three is because you're about to reread a new version of Vinolucard Island. Shamingly, I bit off more than I can chew with some ideas in my head. Which caused me to lose motivation for this story and almost to the point of abandonment. However, in order for me to continue forward with this story, I had to redo a lot of things. Which is why this story is call Vinolucard Island (Rewrite). The selected cast is the same as before, so for those who got a character here the character is still in the competition. How long though? Well, let's see what happens. It is a competition after all. Without further ado, enjoy the first chapter of the rewrite.
The sun started to set in the orangey reddish sky. No clouds were in sight as the night began to arrive as the yellow star kept going down. In the distance, drawing closer and closer was a gray blimp with a bat symbol on it. Wings were small and ears pointed up. Lightning struck near the blimp. One blue and then one red. Thunder roared like a lion as the blimp headed to an island with a large castle sticking out in the center.
The castle's darkening gray stones built to great durability. The windows opened to let in light. The red gable roofs covered the peaks of the castle's towers. Overall, everything appeared to be in good condition.
As the blimp got closer and closer to the island, red fog came around. The pilot wearing his uniform and aviation headset slightly groaned at the fog blocking his sight.
"I was hoping there wouldn't be fog coming back here, but I should have know better," The pilot spoke, slight annoyance in his voice. "Landing inexperiencely within this body is already hard as it is."
The pilot briefly glanced at the intercoms in the cockpit. His eyes showed concern as if he needed to tell something but decided to ignore it, continuing piloting the plane.
"Can't frighten them too soon now," The pilot said, forming a small smirk right before a mischievous chuckle.
Inside the gondola of the blimp, sixteen young adult passengers were waiting for the blimp to land. One of them happened to be looking out from one of the various windows that is part of the gondola. This Indian-American with dark brown skin witnessed the red fog arriving, spooking him a bit to cause a nervous reaction despite his tired expression.
He wore an unzipped conrflower blue jacket over a baggy white t-shirt, light gray sweatpants, and red shoes. His white t-shirt had a brown owl design on it.
"I'm not sure whether to be invested or freaked out over this," Drake said as his sunken brown eyes with bags under them kept gazing at the red fog through the window.
Drake stood at five feet and two inches tall as he scratched the top of his vaguely messy black hair. Then he rubbed his snub nose a bit. He also had a skinny body that looked quite frail.
"Freaked out over what?" A yellow bear named Vinnie asked with a female voice, approaching Drake.
The bear stood on her two paws and wore a blue shirt.
"Oh," Drake forgot there was a bear competing momentarily. "The red fog that recently came around. Look at it yourself," He pointed at the window he looked at.
As Vinnie went to look out the window, Drake yawned before grabbing his sketchbook that laid on a small wooden crate nearby.
"Wow, that fog is pretty red," Vinnie noted as she viewed the fog outside in the sky, showing off her delightful happy self. "We're not on the island yet and already I'm getting the vibes of adventure. I can't wait to make friends. Wonder what the challenges are like here? Oh, how I hope there's honey. Hmm, sweet, tasty honey."
Vinnie licked her lips thinking of honey.
"Hey mister, do you want a hug?" Vinnie asked Drake as she ran towards the insomniac.
Vinnie encountered Drake sleeping on the floor, using his sketchbook as a pillow. It was not comfortable one bit, but Drake made it work.
"I guess getting a bit more rest is good," Vinnie observed, okay with not being able to hug Drake.
"That guy has been practically sleeping through the whole ride," Vivian, an American told Vinnie. "He looks like a racoon ready to be roadkill."
Vivian's round green eyes locked in a stare at Vinnie as she approached the bear. She had small ears, small nose, and pick lips. Vivian was taller than the bear, herself being six feet and two inches with Caucasian skin and a c-cup bust.
"I didn't notice," Vinnie admitted.
"You need to have a sharp eye in this game. Can't let yourself be tipped over like a cow," Vivian advised Vinnie as the patriot approached the bear, adjusting her brown cowgirl hat to fit better her chestnut brown hair that is tied together in a fishtail braid past her shoulders.
"Oh I'm not worried at all about that," Vinnie assured innocently. "Nice outfit you got there by the way. I especially love the boots."
Vivian looked down at her chestnut brown cowgirl boots that covered a bit of her stonewashed blue jeans. "Thanks for the kind words, bear. Usually, people compliment my red and white flannel jacket." She pointed at her unbuttoned jacket that was over her black shirt. "Normally I'll spit my hand for a shake, but I ain't messing with a bear this up close."
"Bear?" Vinnie said confused. "I'm not a bear I'm just wearing my costume."
"Oh," Vivian was surprised to hear that. She checked out Vinnie, moving her head up and down as she observed the costume. "Well… you do you then."
Vinnie watched Vivian head to another part of the gondola. Vinnie sat down, took out a honey pot and began to eat honey that was inside the pot. Vivian meanwhile approached another female passenger who had pale skin.
This passenger sat on the floor tuning her red guitar with black lines. Her blue eyes gazed at her wonderful guitar. She wore an unzipped black leather jacket, a pink bra covering her large bust, black cargo shorts, black socks, and black boots. Her black hair had spiky bangs and her hair also reached down to her shoulders.
"I see you finished being all jittery," Vivian told the passenger. "You looked like you were going to go insane a few minutes ago."
"Oh," Sabrina, the passenger tuning her guitar said as she looked at Vivian. She got up from the floor while leaving her guitar there, showing her height to be at five feet and ten inches.
"Oh? Oh what?" Vivian wondered as she put her hands on her hips.
"Oh, is just that I was acting all nervous before because I thought there was an actual talking bear competing with us," Sabrina clarified, showing off her British accent given that she herself is British.
"Wait, the bear is just a person in a costume?" A different contestant said, also having a British accent.
The young man in question walked to Sabrina and Vivian. He was British with Irish descent. He held a soccer ball between his arm pit an arm. The man's short bright red hair glimmerred with enough light in the room. Same height as Drake, being five feet and two inches. His hazel eyes examined Vinnie and then back at the two girls who were conversating.
"That's what the bear told me," Vivian answered Lionel, the one who asked.
"Ugh, I didn't expect to be competing against a furry," Lionel said with disgust, his facial expression showing how revolted he is. "As long as whoever is in that costume doesn't touch my uniform they won't face the wrath of my agent."
His uniform consisted of a white shirt under a gray jacket. Both his short black pants and white sneakers had a logo. The logo on his pants was the letter C with a sword sliced through it while the logo on his shoes is the letter W that appeared like it froze over.
"Oh my gosh, that sharp delicate face, those leafy eyebrows, tiny nose, that athletic body. You must be Lionel Keane," Sabrina got excited, realizing who was this soccer player.
"The one and only," Lionel said proudly. "Always glad to meet a fan. And finally someone recognized me here. I was talking to the other contestants and no one even knew who I was."
Sabrina took out a small journal and pen from her jacket. "Can you sign my journal?" She asked Lionel nervously and kindly at the same time.
"Of course," Lionel grabbed the pen. Instead of signing the journal, he signed on Sabrina's pink bra. "There you go."
Sabrina did not know how to feel about this and walked away. "Hopefully this gets washed off. This is the only bra I have on me," She said to herself.
"I can sign your boots, gorgeous," Lionel told Vivian.
"I'll pass," Vivian gently refused.
Elsewhere in the gondola, one of the passengers did push-ups to pass the time, looking determined for the competition to begin. This contestant was a Japanese Puerto Rican lady with tan skin, plumps lips, lean muscles, a curvy hourglass figure, full hips, and a large chest.
"Got to keep going," Kylie, the one doing the pushups said to herself.
Her outfit helped show off more of her hotness. A white crop top with a red stripe collar that placed underneath a purple leather mini jacket. Her white skirt went down just above her knees with a red stripe on the waistline. Lastly, a silver anklet on her left ankle with her feet covered in red converse.
"You're going to exhaust yourself before we land," Dustin, a contestant sitting on the floor pointed out to Kylie as he played a game of chess with another competitor. The chess board and pieces were on top of a small wooden crate.
Dustin was a Filipino with black eyes and a slight tan. He stood up, showing his height to be the same as Sabrina's at five feet and inches. He took out a hair gel squeezer from the pocket of his black sweatpants to gel his short black hair to the side. He also wore a green jersey with the number eight on the back and green shoes. This outfit of his showed off this thin yet athletic build and biceps. Lastly his eyes were small, had an average size nose and lips.
"I'm not worried about that," Kylie assured Dustin, finishing up her push-ups for the time being. She stood up and looked at Dustin and the other chess player with her purple contacts. "I don't get tired so easily thanks to cheerleading."
"Well, if you do get tired I'll gladly help you out if we're on the same team," Dustin said happily, already thinking ahead for the strategy.
Dustin put back his gel squuezer into his pocket and then took a handkerchief out of his other pocket to clean his hands before sitting back down.
"Being on the same team with Kylie is beneficial since she participated in Total Drama Carnival Calamity," The contestant playing chess with Dustin spoke happily. She too like her opponent sat on the floor. "She did do an incredible run there after all."
This Mexican Canadian contestant named Maria had green eyes, very light tan skin, medium brown hair pulled into a ponytail, c-cup bust, and an hourglass type body. She had on a white hoodie sweater with oversized aqua sleeves, white capris, and white calf high boots with aqua trims. Her hoodie was currently down.
"Really? I remember in my hometown saying I did great, but a lot of outsiders said I was in the background for most of my run," Kylie frowned, confessing to Maria.
"Who cares what the fans say? They're just jealous you got with Fenton," Maria shrugged. "You did get with Fenton, right?" She asked as she stood up, showing her height of five feet and seven inches.
"After the season. Then we broke up," Kylie answered. "Then I got with Marty. We broke up too."
"Must be awful letting two boys have a crush on you throughout the game only for both relationships not working out," Maria felt sorry. "If only they knew what would happen."
"Sounds like you're wording it as manipulation," Dustin pointed out.
"It was not manipulation," Kylie interjected.
"Don't worry Kylie, I'm sure you will find the right guy or gal in this show," Maria assured with her innocent eyes and smile.
Maria briefly hugged Kylie, before returning to play her chess game with Dustin. Kylie frowned again, remembering her Carnival Calamity days.
Elsewhere on the gondola stood a slender athletic porcelain skin build American named Felix that wore a black flack zipped jacket over a dark grey hoodie with a blue hood, black cargo pants, and his black footwear that appeared to be a hybrid of boots and sneakers. He brought his blue hood down, revealing his medium length black hair with loose curls. A few of his locks covered parts of his forehead. His bright blue eyes noticed a contestant approaching him. He quickly glanced at his steampunk goggles and blue bandit scarf on top of a crate near. He grabbed his accessories and put them on, making sure to cover his face. Lastly, he stood at five feet and ten inches.
"Yo dude, you look similar to Chris Steele," The contestant who approached Felix complimented. "I bet you have a lot of fans."
This contestant Canadian named Howard was just one inch less than Felix. Howard had oval shape blue eyes, fair white skin, and was built skinny yet fit. His outfit consisted of dark blue jeans, brown boots, black shirt, and an alligator skin jacket. As accessories he wore blue sphere earrings and a necklace with three alligator teeth on it.
Felix slowly slumped down to sit on the floor without a word, proceeding to ignore Howard.
"Um, okay," Howard felt awkwardness rising inside of him. "I guess you're not the talkative type. But hey, I can start the conversation. No biggie."
Felix continued to stay silent.
Howard scratched the back of his head, trying to figure out what else to say. "I'll just… go away now."
Walking away, Howard noticed an young athletic Asian Canadian girl at five feet and seven inches getting ready to sit on a crate with blue headphones and a piano keyboard in her hands. He decided to talk to her.
"Hey there," Howard greeted, raising his hand a bit. He did not so much confidence but he tried to give a bright smile. "What's with the purple daft punk helmet you're wearing?"
Roxanne, the person Howard asked wore an orange shirt with a record symbol under an opened vest, black pants, and red running shoes. The vest had its left side dark blue while the right cyan. LED lights turned on from the daft punk helmet. The lights made a smiley emote on the visor as Roxanne did jazz hands. Her hands had dark purple fingernails.
"Um," Howard tried to figure out what Roxanne meant. "You like were wearing it because its fun?"
The lights on the visor made a thumbs up emote.
"Alrighty, glad you enjoy wearing it," Howard said and then laughed awkwardly.
The visor showed a red question mark, meaning Roxanne felt confusion seeing and hearing Howard's awkward laugh.
"Is nothing don't worry about it," Howard assured before stepping away backwards.
Roxanne decided to put on her headphones and listen to music. Good timing too because one of the contestants started to talk loud.
"For the last time I'm not swinging my hammer at you again," Piccolo, a competitor in a clown costume said to a contestant who is right now off-screen.
This Italian stood at five feet and once inch, having a thin build to him. He wore yellow overalls with pink buttons, a light blue long sleeve shirt, a rainbow color wig, giant red shoes, and a red clown nose. His white makeup covered his honey skin. His brown eyes were narrowed at the person bugging him.
"Please, please swing your hammer at me again," Nadia pleaded on her knees to Piccolo.
Nadia's curly blonde hair cut above her ears looked messy at the moment due to most likely Piccolo hammering her before. Nadia's height came at four feet and ten inches for this American. She had a small nose, wide brown eyes, and white skin. Her skinny and flat body was covered by her outfit.
"I need you to pound me so hard with your hammer again please just do it,' Nadia kept begging.
The blonde's outfit consisted of black headphones around her neck, lime green hoodie with the hood down, black shorts, lime green leggins, and black boots. Lastly, she wore elastic adhesive bandages over her hands.
"Don't phrase it like that," Piccolo told Nadia with annoyance. "And for the last time I'm not smacking you with my hammer. Not going to risk injuring you and costing me the game."
Piccolo began to walk away from Nadia but Nadia grabbed onto his legs to keep him at bay. Piccolo took out a spraying bottle out of his wig to spray water at Nadia. This made Nadia stop holding his legs and run away.
The last three remaining contestants to be revealed were close by an entrance door to the cockpit. Two of them were arm wrestling each other with a large crate under their elbows while the other competitor watched from the side, leaning against a wall.
Sestuna, the five feet and two inches tall Japanese leaning against a wall had silky white skin and dark green eyes. She flipped her long black hair with dark green highlights that go down to her shoulders for show, noticing a camera focused on her. Her appearance showed she happened to be on the skinny side with a small bust.
"You boys are quite strong," Setsuna observed with a sultry expression.
Setsuna's outfit consisted of her outfit being a black ruffled blouse under an unzipped brown leather jacket, lighter brown fader pants with two brown pockets on each side in the front, and black boots. She also wore a brown bra underneath her blouse, being partially visible thanks to the blouse's fabric. Moreso, a whip holder around the waist of her pants, a purple amulet, and yellow sphere earrings that looked like they were made out of crystals.
"I've made sure to keep myself in shape all the time. Even before competing in Crowstillo Island," Leon, one of the boys doing arm wrestling told Setsuna without looking at her with his azure blue eyes.
The tallest of the contestants, this seven-feet beige skin tone muscular built Spaniard's thigh-length bright blond hair was loose and unkempt that fell to his back in a smooth manner.
"Judging by the bandages on your left arm I'm guessing old wounds still don't heal," Setsuna noted.
"They're more like scars rather than wounds," Leon replied, still focusing on beating his opponent.
Leon's face was chiseled and rough looking. He had a beauty mark over his right eye and a small cut scar under the same eye.
"Doesn't matter when you're the most handsome man on the planet," Setsuna flirted.
Leon laughed. "I appreciate the compliment."
Leon wore a short sleeve yellow cotton shirt with the hem of the shirt being dark yellow. His black military cargo pants had two stripes on each side. Holding the pants was a loose leather brown belt. He also had brown leather combat boots and black fingerless gloves on his hands.
Thanks to the laughing, Leon's opponent Ronnie, who is another American, bested him in the arm-wrestling game. Ronnie freed his grip to raise both arms in the air with joy.
"Heck yeah!" Ronnie shouted, getting the attention of the rest of the contestants except Drake to come by and see what the ruckus was about.
Ronnie's muscular body was on par to Leon's. Ronnie also had nice mocha brown skin, broad shoulders, and dark brown eyes. He stood at six feet and three inches.
"Best thing since sliced bread? Obviously me," Ronnie boasted and flexed his muscles.
Setsuna and Leon glanced at each other. The two then shrugged.
"Sup losers," Ronnie insulted with a scowl on his stubble face to the rest of the cast that arrived due to his shouting. He had a soul patch growing on his chin. "I already see no competition here."
"You must have big balls don't you," Felix muttered sarcastically, already not liking Ronnie.
Ronnie heard him. "That's right I got big balls. I got the biggest balls ever."
"Oh my," Kylie blushed.
"Can we not?" Dustin pleaded.
"Pftt, this is a total letdown. I was expecting at least some decent competition. Guess I will be number one in no time," Ronnie smirked.
"At least my hair doesn't look stupid," Lionel retorted.
Ronnie had long black hair that is braided into tight cornrows.
"My hair ain't stupid. You just can't compete with my style," Ronnie countered.
"My hair barely grows anyway," Lionel stated. He put his hands up slightly. "Whatever, I know I'm the best there is in this game. I don't need to prove to anyone I'm the number one star here."
"Sounds like a challenge," Ronnie glared.
Lionel laughed. "Dude, you wouldn't last ten minutes with me in soccer."
"Guys, can we not do this now?" Dustin became the peacemaker.
Suddenly, the speakers around the gondola turned on.
"Attention campers," The pilot spoke through the speakers. "We are now descending close to Vin's castle in Vinolucard Island. Make sure to grab your luggage and leave the blimp rapidly."
Once the blimp landed, the pilot opened the gondola's door for the sixteen contestants to step out and stand near the front of Vinolucard Island's castle. The castle's sturdy wooden brown doors were twenty feet high, and its doorknobs were in the shape of bat heads.
"Creepy," Sabrina noted, already getting a bit tense.
"I like it," Drake showed a small smile.
"Alright campers," The pilot said to the competitors.
The contestants turned around to look at the pilot who had a mischievous smirk on his face. They watched the pilot slowly throw up a blueish-white body onto the ground. All the campers minus Maria showed expressions of disgust at the site. Once the pilot finished vomiting, he took long inhales and exhales.
The bluish-white body rose from the ground. Instead of having legs, the body had a ghost tail. The upper body resembled that of a skinny human in her late twenties. This included a small chest, nice waist, dark blue eyes, and short hair with bangs that covered her left eye. Her hair was also bluish white. Lastly, she wore a blouse.
"Ghost!" Several of the contestants exclaimed in fear. Roxanne's helmet made a ghost emoji to express her shock.
Tasm the ghost floated a bit into the air while stretching herself.
"Ugh, I really wish possession didn't require to enter someone's mouth to control their body," Tasm complained.
After she finished stretching, Tasm observed all the looks she was getting from the campers. She was about to talk to them until she heard the heavily breathing coming from the pilot. She turned around to face the pilot while at the same time the pilot looked up at her.
"Boo," Tasm simply spoke with a cheeky smile.
Spooked out of his mind, the pilot peed his pants and screamed like a girl at seeing a ghost in his presence. The pilot immediately ran into the cockpit of the blimp to drive the vehicle away into the air all in a matter of seconds. Eventually, Tasm and the campers no longer saw the blimp in the sky.
Just when things got weirder, the doors to the castle opened. This caused the contestants to witness who opened them. A seven feet tall yellow eyes pale man that wore a stylish red hat covering his black wavey hair, a red bowtie, black suit, black pants, black fancy shoes, and a red cape observed the contestants with a big satisfying smile on his face. This was Vinoripmav; Vin for short.
"Welcome to…" Vin spoke in a thick Spaniard accent. "Vinolucard Island!" He presented, raising his hands in the air with excitement.
Lighting struck next to Vin before red fog covered everything as the vampire's laughs can be heard.
(Intro Plays)
Several cameras popped out from the inside of castle. The cameras showed Vin's throne room, a library, hallways of bedrooms, a resting lounge, and a cafeteria. A camera drone went out through one of the castle's windows to view more of Vinolucard Island.
Dear Mom and Dad I'm doin' fine,
The camera drone displayed Kylie and Dustin rolling large pumpkins through a pumpkin patch, racing each other with competitor smirks.
You guys are on my mind.
On the path Drake lied down on the soil sleeping peacefully. Kylie and Dustin with their respective pumpkin tripped on Drake due to not seeing him on the ground. Kylie and Dustin also crashed into the pumpkins and broke them, leaving the two covered in pumpkin pulp.
You asked me what I wanted to be
Drake woke up from his slumber. Someone behind him tapped his shoulder.
And now I think the answer is plain to see
Drake turned around to see Maria wearing a werewolf mask, frightening Drake and causing the insomniac to flee scared. Maria removed the werewolf mask and laughed hysterically.
I wanna be famous.
A soccer ball hit the back of Maria's head, causing Maria to turn around and glare at Lionel. Lionel paid no attention as he talked on his phone with his agent. Who also winked at the camera.
I wanna live close to the sun,
The camera drone showed Howard and Sabrina on kayak, roaring through a swamp river with oars. Howard looked calm as he checked the water while Sabrina glanced around rapidly and nervously.
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,
A swamp creature rose from the water and roared to scare Howard and Sabrina. However, this only made Sabrina go to the swamp creature to hit it with her oar continuously while Howard took out his pocketknife, showing a grin as he was ready to skin the monster.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way
Upon the trees of the swamp with no leaves, Setsuna and Felix jumped from branch to branch to catch up with a bat flying away with a ruby grabbed by its feet.
I'll get there one day.
Setsuna took out her whip to grab the ruby from the bat. Once she brought the ruby to her hand her and Felix stopped jumping and stood on a branch. The branch quicky broke and the two began to fall.
Cause, I wanna be famous!
The fall transitioned to Vinnie in her bear costume running away from Vivian who is trying to tie up the mascot with her rope.
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!
Inside the castle's resting lounge, Roxanne stood behind a wooden table about her height using a dj controller to play music. Two large speakers were behind her blasting the intro's music. Roxanne also showed off some dance moves.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
The camera drone zoomed out a bit to show Leon and Ronnie having a dance competition. A red cloud of smoke appeared in between. The smoke disappeared to show Vin who creates a bigger red cloud to transition to the end of the theme song.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
During night at a campfire all the contestants and Vin were gathered. However, the camera drone focused on Piccolo with an unamused expression, spraying water at Nadia. Nadia did not mind getting wet and smiled joyfully at Piccolo who facepalmed. Tasm rose up from the ground to hug Piccolo and Nadia. The camera zoomed out to show everybody whistling the theme song.
(Intro Ends)
Vin, Tasm, and the contestants were in Vin's throne room. The walls were white with red stains all over. There were also many paintings on the walls. The floor had a nice red with black vertical stripes carpet in the center. The floor is painted a golden yellow. Around the room are various ten feet tall taper candle holders unlit.
The throne looked like it was handcrafted with mahogany wood. The chair featured abundant and sturdy frames, huge and high in size. Decorated with elaborate carvings of bat wings and skeleton heads. The armrest rails of the chair had red cotton on top of the wood for comfiness. Lastly, the throne included a red cushion on the seat as well as the backrest.
"Wonder where I can get a throne like that," Lionel wondered to himself. "Better call my agent later tonight."
"You're all ready for your first challenge?" Vin asked the contestants in a theatrical dramatic way. Him and Tasm stood in front of the group a distance away.
"I'm still processing the fact that you're a vampire and Tasm is a ghost," Kylie said to the host, unsure how to feel about the situation she is in.
"I'm scared and excited at the same time," Sabrina admitted.
"If I get a lawyer, you think I will win the case?" Dustin added half-jokingly.
"For starters, you all signed a contract to participate in my games. Secondly, if anyone of you decide to back down, I will drink your blood until your nothing but as dried as a raisin," Vin warned.
All of the contestants remained silent, not wanting to provoke the vampire.
"Good," Vin nodded and smiled. "Now, the first challenge for you all is simple. Tasm!"
"Yes sir!" Tasm saluted with a goofy grin.
"Bring the keys," Vin ordered.
"Right sir!" Tasm giggled as she went through a wall. She came back through the same wall holding a box with sixteen red keys in it.
Vin walked to Tasm and grabbed a key from the box.
"This key gives you access to a private bedroom in the castle," Vin explained to the contestants. "Just like the other fifteen keys in this box. Today's challenge is to take a room key from either me or my assistant Tasm. Also, the bedrooms will be used as confessionals."
Vin grabbed seven more keys to hold eighty tightly in his hand. "No one is eliminated from the competition today. Although the last one to get a key or not even get it will receive a penalty. First to get a key gets a special prize."
"Will this decide who will be our teammates?" Howard asked Vin.
Vin and Tasm shared a laugh.
"There's no teams in Vinolucard Island," Tasm informed as she put down the box onto the floor. "Is everyone for themselves," She added as she grabbed the eight keys left in the box with her hand.
"Immunities, votes, and elimination will be decided depending on the challenge," Vin spoke delightfully. "Now, release your luggage and show us your skills!"
"Okay, I think we can have fun this," Leon said as he put down his luggage, forming a friendly competitive smirk.
"The we is questionable," Drake told the lionheart brawler as she and the rest of the cast put down their luggage on the floor.
"Enough talk," Ronnie got pumped. "I'm going to school this vampire."
Ronnie ran at Vin and tried to swipe a key away from the vampire, only for Vin to easily dodge all his attempts.
"Pitiful," Vin stated with a grin on his face.
"Pitiful? I'll show you who is pitiful. I'm the strongest guy in the game there is," Ronnie boasted as well as feeling insulted.
Suddenly a lasso got onto Ronnie's head and tightening his forehead.
"Yee-haw!" Vivian expressed joy, showing she was the one who lassoed Ronnie. Vivian pulled Ronnie towards herself with all her strength, sending Ronnie to the floor.
"What the heck is wrong with you?" Ronnie exclaimed at Vivian.
"Apologies partner but I ain't letting you take the first win in this competition," Vivian replied while tying up Ronnie's body in rope rapidly.
Nadia ran at Tasm, believing the ghost will be easier to deal with than the vampire. As soon as she jumped at Tasm, the ghost went intangible along with the keys. Nadia got on one knee and turned around.
"You're going to have to do better than that," Tasm told Nadia as she turned off her intangibility.
Tasm stretched her arm as long as possible to reach Nadia and grab the blonde by the waist.
"Oooo, yeah, squeeze me as tight as possible," Nadia begged, her masochist cravings getting out of hand already.
Tasm got flustered upon hearing this and immediately released Nadia from her grip.
"I need a minute," Tasm told everyone hearing her before she went through a wall.
While Leon decided to go forth and try to take a key from Vin, Dustin conversated with Felix, Lionel, Piccolo, and Setsuna.
"Okay people let's focus," Dustin said to the four he is talking to. "We're dealing with two supernatural creatures. I suggest we team up and figure out a way to get keys from either of them."
"So you can win the first challenge and take all the glory?" Lionel questioned. "Pfft, as if. I don't need to be in a team here and I ain't carrying none of you."
"I should have expected this at least from one of you," Dustin confessed.
Lionel grabbed his own soccer ball next to his luggage and ran around the throne room to try and get a good shot at Vin who still dodged Leon's attempts of taking a key.
"You folks are making this too easy," Vivian said quietly to herself as she lassoed Leon, brought him to her, and tied him up.
"Taking out the strong ones first. That's something Knick would do," Leon commented to Vivian.
"I don't like the guy's guts but considering he made it to the final five three times in a row I needed to learn a few things from him," Vivian replied. "Have fun with Ronnie," She said as left the two boys alone.
Ronnie and Leon glanced at each other.
"You ain't better than me," Ronnie said to Leon in a matter-of-fact tone.
Leon responded with silence.
Back with Dustin, Piccolo, Setsuna, and Felix, a plan was still trying to be made as Vivian lassoed Howard in the background.
"Okay Piccolo and Setsuna," Dustin started to discuss his new plan. "You both…"
Setsuna took out her whip from her whip holder in ordered to whip Piccolo's back.
"Ah why!?" Piccolo exclaimed in pain as he got on his knees.
Setsuna continued to whip Piccolo continuously until Felix restrained her by putting her arms behind her back and holding her wrists tightly.
"What are you doing?" Dustin said to Setsuna, completely dumbfounded.
"I have coulrophobia," Setsuna explained, looking at Piccolo with sudden dislike.
"You were just standing next to him fine a minute ago," Dustin replied in a baffled way.
"I couldn't hold onto the pressure," Setsuna said with a small frown.
Dustin simply facepalmed.
Tasm came back through a wall to be greeted by Drake who showed her a sketch.
"Oh my, is this me?" Tasm looked at the drawing of herself.
"Yeah, thought it would be cool to sketch you despite you being a real ghost that terrifies me," Drake admitted. "You can keep the sketch if you give me a key," He offered.
"Oh, negotiation?" Tasm was surprised that someone will result to that strategy in the challenge. "Very well then, its a…"
Drake fell asleep standing. This allowed Tasm to take the sketch without giving the insomniac a key.
"Pleasure doing business with you," Tasm bowed to Drake and then floated away around the throne room.
"This girl is officially annoying me," Kylie spoke to Sabrina and Maria, all three girls tied up by rope next to each other.
"Are you talking about Vivian?" Sabrina wondered.
"No one else is tying up the competition here," Kylie deadpanned.
"Oh right," Sabrina slightly frowned.
"Sorry, I just… am now wondering why I signed up for another competition," Kylie apologized.
"Don't be so hard on yourself Kylie," Maria encouraged in an innocent way. "After all you've been through you want to prove to everybody you're capable of doing greater than before."
"Thanks Maria," Kylie smiled.
"After all less contestants means you can be less of a background character," Maria added happily.
"Was that an insult?" Sabrina wondered as she and Kylie could not figure it out due to Maria's sweet voice and innocent smile.
"Of course not silly," Maria proceeded to giggle. "Is meant as a positive way. More screentime equals more fun time!"
Vivian prepared herself to lasso Roxanne who currently kept trying to take a key from Vin while Nadia chased after Tasm in the background. Vinnie in her bear costume stood next to Vivian.
"Is tying up the others with rope a really good idea?" Vinnie asked Vivian.
"Yeah, makes it far easier to win," Vivian answered as she concentrated on Roxanne.
"Wouldn't that make you have enemies faster?" Vinnie questioned.
"Nonsense, these guys and gals know that is a competition," Vivian brushed the idea off. "Now zip your lips for a moment bear I got a dj to catch," She told Vinnie as nicely as possible.
Vinnie noticed Lionel kicking his soccer ball on his knee continuously.
"Target acquired," Lionel smirked, staring down at Vin's hand with the keys.
"Uh, Vivian?" Vinnie wanted to warn the cowgirl.
"What is it Vinnie?" Vivian stopped twirling her lasso in the air.
Lionel kicked his soccer ball towards Vin. Being distracted by Roxanne, Vin did not saw the soccer ball coming at him. Getting caught off guard by the soccer ball hitting his hand, Vin dropped the keys onto the floor. Roxanne slipped on the keys and also fell onto the floor, cracking her daft punk helmet a bit.
"That's right, I'm awesome," Lionel boasted. "No need to thank me for that epic moment."
"No one is thanking you," Felix said from across the throne room while still holding Sestuna.
Setsuna used the back of her head to hit Felix's forehead. This caused Felix to stumble back a bit and release the Setsuna.
"Victory is mine!" Vivian twirled her rope in the air again and throws it to lasso a key.
"Oh no you don't," Setsuna ran to the pile of keys and used her whip to try and grab a key before Vivian.
The whip and lasso managed to grab a key at the same time. Vivian pulled in her catch slightly faster than Setsuna and managed to hold a key in her hand first.
"Congrats on winning the challenge Vivian," Vin told the patriot as he rubbed his wrist. "I'll leave you all dealing with Tasm now," He went to sit at his throne to watch the rest of the challenge.
Setsuna caught her key and put her whip back in her holder. Felix, Dustin, Vinnie, and Nadia took the opportunity to grap a key from the pile Vin dropped. Lionel went to grab a key with a scowl on his face, upset nobody glorified him for kicking the keys out of Vin's hand. Roxanne managed to get up in time to grab the last key on the floor, even though almost half of the other contestants are tied up.
The eight players with a key decided to sit together next to wall, doing the same thing as Vin. Waiting for the remaining keyless players to get a key from Tasm.
"Hold this for me my king," Tasm gave the sketch Drake drew for her to Vin before floating to the center of the room, waiting for a contestant to do something.
Piccolo, still in pain from the whip cracking Setsuna gave him took out a large ice pack from within his wig. He put the large ice pack on his back and shivered with delight as he rested on his knees before doing anything.
"Sure wish there was a way to get out of this rope," Kylie commented.
Ronnie scowled as he tried to break free from the rope with all his might. "I will not be made the fool today," He promised. He used his strength and broad shoulders to start breaking the rope he is tied in. He eventually broke free and charged at Tasm.
Tasm yawned. Once Ronnie was close enough to her she went intangible.
"Even I have to admit this is quite embarrassing," Tasm said to Ronnie as the powerhouse passed through. She stopped being intangible, turned around, and looked at the contestant.
"Oh yeah? How about this?" Ronnie started to flex his muscles in front of Tasm.
"Pfft," Tasm chuckled. "You think that's going to…" She started to feel memorized at Ronnie's biceps and triceps. Her eyes widened and so did her mouth at the sight.
"Ugh, why do you have to be like this?" Vin said to himself, lowering his head and putting a hand on his face.
Once Tasm started to drool, Ronnie took the opportunity to take a key from Tasm. With the ghost still dazed off, Leon decided to get an advantage. He broke free from the rope he was tied, using the same maneuver Ronnie did. Then Leon grabbed a key from Tasm's hand.
Deciding to assist the others, Leon grabbed two more keys before Tasm snapped out of her daze and went intangible. Leon proceeded to go to Maria and Sabrina to break the rope from both and give them each a key.
"Thanks," Maria and Sabrina said to Leon at the same time.
Leon in return gave a thumbs up to the two.
"Hey, what about me?" Kylie asked Leon.
"Sorry, couldn't get more keys," Leon apologized before heading to the others who had a key already.
"Don't worry Kylie I got you," Howard took out a pocket knife from his jean's pocket to cut the rope tied to him. Once he freed himself, he ran to Kylie to free her.
Tasm decided to be fair and give one of the four keys in her hand to Drake who still slept. Piccolo took off the large ice pack on his back, now ready to get a key from Tasm.
Tasm watched Kylie, Howard, and Piccolo getting close to her. She showed off confidence, letting the three players know she will not make it easy on them.
"Remember, whoever gets their key last or is the last one without a key faces a penalty," Vin reminded.
Piccolo took out a a vacuum cleaner from his wig and sucked Tasm into it. The last three keys dropped onto the floor. Piccolo then threw the vacuum cleaner at Kylie and Howard, noticing they were heading towards the keys. The vacuum cleaner hit Howard and caused the hunter to fall to the floor with the vacuum cleaner on top of him.
Kylie and Piccolo grabbed a key. Both cheered for not coming in last place.
"Well Howard," Vin got up from his throne. "You are the last person without a key. That means you will be receiving the penalty later tonight."
"Hooray," Howard said sarcastically as Tasm gave him the key to his room.
Confessional Room - Sabrina
She stood next to her bed in her bedroom which was a master bedroom with purple and gold silk all over. Including the bed.
"Didn't do much in this challenge, but that's okay. Leon helped me out and I'm sure I'll do better in the next one. Although I'm worried for Howard's penalty. The way Vin and Tasm act here feels like it will be more of a punishment."
Confessional Room - Roxanne
Like Sabrina's, Roxanne's room had the same color silks. Which will be the same for all master bedrooms for the contestants.
Roxanne put on her headphones and decided to jam out to some tunes happily.
Confessional Room - Ronnie
He stood near his bed. "Man, what a terrible start. Got to make sure I don't lose that badly again. All these campers better watch out cause this guy is soaring like eagle."
Confessional Room - Felix
He sat on his bed. "Was hoping to show off my skills the first day but of course someone had to the planner going forward," He spoke with annoyance. "Nevertheless, considering I'm an island with a vampire, ghost, and possibly more monsters showing off what I'm capable of won't be too heard to do."
Confessional Room - Drake
"Can anyone tell me what happened after I fell asleep?" He asked, laying on his bed.
End Confessionals
"Where are you taking me?" Vivian asked Vin as the two walk up a set of stairs, he latter carrying a lantern to light up their pathway.
"I am taking you to the top of the castle's highest tower," Vin explained. "There you will receive your reward."
"I should have gussied up if the reward is in a special room," Vivian cracked a joke to Vin.
"I don't get it," Vin stated.
"Its a saying," Vivian said to him. "Don't worry about it."
Vin and Vivian arrived to the doorway of the room in the highest tower. Once Vin unlocked the door with a black key they enter the room. There, Vivian saw an antique spinning wheel with a crystal that changed color on the wheel's bench. The colors on the crystal changed from red to orange, from orange to cyan, cyan to lime, lime to violet, violet to green, and green to red. The crystal kept changing colors in that order.
Vivian narrowed her eyes at the sight. "I swear if you're trying to use me as an…"
"Relax Vivian, if I wanted to suck your blood I would have done so by now. This crystal was created by a mad scientist who studied monsters here years ago. It gives a human the ability to turn into a monster for at least twenty-four hours," Vin informed. "Your reward is that you can become a temporary monster of your choice to help in the next challenge."
"Yeah, no," Vivian did not like the idea. "Ain't no way I'm turning into a freak. I'm perfect and better off as a human. Thanks for wasting my time."
Vin watched Vivian leave the room.
"Well, can't say I tried," Vin hoped Vivian would have given the crystal a chance. Once Vivian left the room completely he decided to end the episode. "Sixteen contestants! Only one can claim the prize of a million dollars! Who will rise and who will fall as these monstrous challenges get crazier? Find out on the next chapter of Vinolucard Island!"
Vin laughed wickedly as the screen faded to black.
