Chapter 503 Bosses Galore

Turquoise entered a large bathroom alongside the Finn Player, who went by the name John. The fusion conjured up two blaster for her lower arms and a couple of swords for her upper arms, while John was armed with a sword. The two of them looked around for the bathroom guardian or any monsters, but they weren't seeing any. Whatever monster was in the bathroom must be hiding in one of the bathroom stalls. Turquoise and John began to check the stalls one at a time, but they all appeared to be empty.
"Well this is a real head scratcher." Said John as he decided to sit on the toilet in the last stall they had checked.
A few seconds Turquoise came up with a horrible realization about what kind of monster would be the guardian of the bathroom.
"Get off that toilet!" Yelled Turquoise, but it was already too late.
The toilet, John was sitting on suddenly began to grow in size as teeth appeared along the seat and lid. John tried to get off, but the toilet grew arms and shoved John into the bowl. One of the arms then hit the handle as there was a loud flushing sound mixed with John screaming that vanished a few seconds later.
"Flushtality!" Boomed a unseen voice.
The toilet sprouted some legs and eyes and faced Turquoise.
"I am the Porcelain Guardian! Prepared to be flushed!" Roared the monster as it pulled out a giant plunger and toilet brush.
Turquoise fired her blasters at the monster, but the beams bounced off it's body as it charged forward swinging it's weapons. The fusion ducked beneath the toilet brush as it smashed the stall walls to bits. Porcelain Guardian tried to smash Turquoise with the plunger, but she dodged out of the way and slashed the monster with her swords making a few scratches and made the monster stumble back. Porcelain Guardian let out a roar of rage as it hurled the plunger at Turquoise making her dodge out of the way, but as she did that the monster grabbed her and then shoved the fusion in it's mouth intending to finish her off in the same way it had ended John!
Turquoise almost panicked, but remembered that the monster was filled with water. A element she could use against the Porcelain Guardian. As water began to fill the bowl Turquoise reached out and took control of it with her powers. Turquoise wrapped the water around herself and then she and the water shot out like a geyser from Porcelain Guardian's mouth! The monster staggered back in pain and shock as Turquoise dropped the water around her as she summoned her water wings and hovered above the monster. Turquoise then reached out to the water inside Porcelain Guardian's body and began to move it and freeze it at the same time. Porcelain Guardian let out a painful roar as large ice spikes began to bust out of it's body! Turquoise made a dozen or so ice spikes come out of Porcelain Guardian's body and then the monster let out one last scream before it fell to the floor and exploded into light leaving a key behind.
Turquoise landed on the floor, picked up the key, and then she used her powers to extract some water from the sinks and grabbed some soap to clean herself off. This may have been a virtual world, but Turquoise felt like she needed to clean herself off before moving on. Turquoise mentally removed her clothes leaving herself naked and was a little surprised to see some black sensor bars immediately cover her top and bottom. Guess the developers wanted a clean game. She finished her cleaning, put her clothes on, and moved on with the quest.
Elsewhere, Lucinda entered the treasure room and saw a dozen large treasure chests scattered around with some various treasures, including some fine silk, gold goblets, and jewels. The key had to be somewhere in the room, most likely in one of the chests. Lucinda went over and checked one chest and found nothing, but gold coins. She moved on to the next one, but her enhanced werewolf senses warned her something was up with it as she quickly pulled away from it a few seconds before the chest grew teeth and tried to bite her!
"A monster disguised as a chest. Clever." Said Lucinda as she watched the chest sprout arms, legs, and eyes.
The chest was actually a creature known as a Chest Buster. Lucinda faced the monster and saw another chest turn into a Chest Buster to fight her. The werewolf hero was prepared to fight the two monster, when she heard some come whistling in her direction and moved her head just in time to avoid a flying emerald that barely missed her head. She turned in the direction the emerald had come from and saw a giant diamond with a mouth, eyes, and little arms and legs armed with a slingshot.
"Welcome to the treasure room. I'm Diamond Dan. This place is so expensive it'll cost you your life!" Said the monster as he loaded up another emerald in his slingshot and fired it.
Lucinda battered the emerald away with her hammer. One of the Chest Buster began to spit gold coins at Lucinda striking her in the side making her stagger back. The monster laughed before it fired more gold coins at Lucinda, but this time she was ready for the attack. Lucinda deflected the coins with her hammer and sent a few back at the monster striking it and sending the creature stumbling back. Diamond Dan fired another emerald at Lucinda and she deflected that into the Chest Buster she had struck with the coins. The emerald hit the Chest Buster and it exploded into light! The second Chest Buster charged at Lucinda and she grabbed the monster and used her super strength to send him flying into Diamond Dan! There was a explosion and flash of light that quickly cleared up to reveal Diamond Dan was still standing and looked completely unharmed.
"I'm a diamond baby! I'm made of one of the strongest things on Earth! You can't hurt me!" Declared Diamond Dan.
Lucinda eyed the monster taking in it's body and came up with a clever idea. She rushed at Diamond Dan before he could load his slingshot and then she set him upside down on the floor on his flattop head.
"That should do it." Said Lucinda as she snatched the slingshot away from Diamond Dan.
"What's this supposed to do?" Asked Diamond Dan.
"Keep you out of my hair and beat you." Said Lucinda.
"This won't stop me!" Said Diamond Dan as he tried to get up, but his limbs just waved around in the air unable to find anything to push off against.
Diamond Dan was stuck on his head, like a turtle that was stuck on it's back. The monster tried desperately to get up, but couldn't. Lucinda just laughed at the monster's situation before she went back to exploring the treasure room. After a few minutes of searching she found a little statue of Count Nogrog and smashed it to bits revealing a key. Lucinda took the key and walked out of the treasure room.
"This sucks." Grumbled Diamond Dan.
Back in the main hallway, Dan and the remaining four Finn players were keeping watch for any enemy players, when door suddenly appeared next to the way they had come in and out walked Field Reaper, Bad Rose, Archer Dan, Patchy the Pumpkin, Lt. Mushroom, and Sgt. Mushroom enter the hallway ready to fight. Dan and his forces quickly drew their weapons and faced the enemies.
Archer Dan fired a arrow as Lt. Mushroom fired his gun. The arrow and the bullet struck one Finn player making him explode into bits of light, but Dan quickly avenged him by running Lt. Mushroom with his sword and threw a ninja star into Archer Dan's face! The two monsters exploded into light. One Finn player charged at Field Reaper, but was immediately cutdown by a scythe swing from the monster. Sgt. Mushroom stood by with his rocket launcher and pointed it at two of the Finn players, who were fighting Bad Rose and Patchy the Pumpkin. The monster was unable to fire, due to fear of hitting it's comrades.
Dan the fan quickly snuck up on Sgt. Mushroom and stabbed the monster in the back as he took his rocket launcher. The monster exploded into light and Dan tried to shoot a rocket at Field Reaper, but the big monster knocked it out of his hands by throwing his sickle at him. The field Reaper charged at Dan punching him in the gut and sent him crashing into a wall. Dan just barely recovered and avoided being decapitated by a scythe swing from Field Reaper. The fan retreated with the monster chasing after him as he tried to get to the rocket launcher.
The two Finn players fighting Bad Rose and Patchy the Pumpkin saw that Dan was in trouble and quickly finished their enemies off with some sword slices, before the two of them raced to Dan's aid and began fighting Field Reaper. Dan made it to the rocket launcher and pointed it at Field Reaper and the two Finn players fighting him.
"Get out of the way!" Yelled Dan.
"Forget about us! Pull the trigger!" Yelled one player.
"I can't!" Yelled Dan.
"You have to! This is more then just a game now! This is a chance to save the world and the future! We can't have this monster chase after Bubblegum and prevent her from beating this quest!" Said the second fan.
"Alright! I'll do it!" Said Dan as he pulled the trigger.
The rocket flew and struck the monster and two players destroying them all instantly. Dan had tears in his eyes as he gave a salute to his fallen comrades.
Elsewhere in the the kitchen, Chicle and a Finn player, who went by the name Steve were looking around for the key, so far they hadn't found it or seen any enemies yet. Chicle took notice of a strange gold lamp on a table. He and Steve, went to take a closer look at it, when blue smoke that smelled like blueberry pies bellowed out and some kind of female genie formed before the two of them.
"I am the Blueberry Djini, guardian of the kitchen and you shall dine on my furry!" Said the monster as she snapped her fingers.
There was a flash of light as more Card Wars monsters appeared in the kitchen. There was a giant jug of lemonade called Lieutenant Lemonade armed with a mace, a giant chicken leg with a Viking helmet armed with a couple of axes named Colonel Chicken, a large turkey sandwich wearing a eyepatch armed with a knife named Sergeant Sandwich, a giant hot dog armed with knives named Deputy Hot Dog, and a pie with a cute face armed with a pie server named Cutie Pie.
"It's a smorgasbord!" Said Steve.
"Looks like we have to deal with some appetizers first before we reach the main course." Said Chicle as he readied his armor's defenses.
Colonel Chicken charged forward swinging his axes at Chicle, who quickly brought up a energy shield to defend himself. Deputy Hot Dog charged at Steve, with his knives and Steve quickly grabbed a frying pan and whacked the food monster knocking him to the ground. Colonel Lemonade tried to attack Chicle from behind with his mace, but Chicle dodge out of the way at the last second and kicked the monster back. Colonel Chicken threw a axe at Chicle, but he dodged out of the way and the axe struck Colonel Lemonade and made him shatter to bits spilling lemonade all over the floor. Chicle then went invisible and grabbed a confused Colonel Chicken and slammed him into Cutie Pie knocking both monsters to the ground before returning to being visible. The candy warrior then fired a laser blast at the two monsters and they exploded into light. Steve faced off against Sergeant Sandwich. The monster charged at Steve with his knife and the Finn player sidestepped him and tripped him causing the monster to fall onto a recovering Deputy Hot Dog and the two monsters ended up accidentally stabbing each other and exploding into light.
"Not bad, but that was just the first course of this all you can eat buffet of destruction." Said Blueberry Dijin before she snapped her fingers.
The same five monster that had just been defeated reappeared and then they all multiple a couple of times, until Chicle and Steve found themselves facing fifteen enemies.
"Man how are we supposed to deal with this?" Asked Steve.
"We have to destroy the Blueberry Dijin if we want to end this." Said Chicle.
"How do we do that?" Asked Steve.
"We destroy the lamp and we destroy the genie." Said Chicle.
"How do you know that?" Asked Steve.
"I read it in a magic book and I met a genie and asked her how to destroy creatures like genies." Said Chicle.
"Alright, then let's do it." Said Steve.
Chicle threw a couple of smoke bombs and regular bombs at the horde of monsters that exploded causing a great deal of confusion as he and Steve charged forward towards the Blueberry Dijin and her lamp. The Blueberry Dijin saw the two heroes coming, conjured up a blueberry pie and hurled it at them. Chicle and Steve ducked and the pie struck a monster instead making it explode. The Blueberry Dijin yelled in frustration as she conjured up more pies to hurl at the two heroes only to have them dodge out of the way and the pies destroy some monsters instead. Chicle powered up his laser as he fired it at the lamp, but Blueberry Dijin yanked it out of the way.
"Nice try!" Said Blueberry Dijin as she held the lamp in her hands.
Steve hurled a frying pan and it knocked the lamp out of Blueberry Dijin's hands and onto the floor. Blueberry Dijin tried to reclaim her lamp, but Chicle blasted it to bits with his laser.
"Nooooo!" Screamed Blueberry Dijin before she and the other monsters exploded into light.
A key dropped to the ground and Chicle picked it up. Chicle and Steve then left the kitchen.
Bubblegum and Neddy found themselves in a large library with many bookshelves, desks, tables, and chairs. They also saw a few dozen skulls scattered about the area as they looked around for the key. After a few minutes of searching they came across a blue robbed figure with horns sitting in a chair reading a book.
"Who are you?" Asked Bubblegum already sensing this might be the boss monster of the library.
"I'm Wizard Elf and this is where your story comes to an end." Said the figure as he stood up and began to hover in the air with his hands crackling with magic.
"I wonder if all the bosses here make puns?" Asked Neddy.
"Most likely." Said Bubblegum.
The skulls around the library began to float into the air and books flew to them forming skeletal bodies for them.
"Go Skele-Tomes!" Ordered Wizard Elf.
The Skele-Tomes charged at Bubblegum and Neddy. Bubblegum fired some lasers and took a few of the monsters out, while Neddy grabbed them with his psychic powers and smashed them into each other, but with each Skele-Tome that was taken down three more seemed to take their place. Bubblegum realized that she and Neddy would eventually be overrun by the monsters, so she switch tactics and used her Elemental powers to fire a wave of sticky candy at the floor causing the Skele-Tomes to step in it and become stuck. Neddy took this opportunity to knock some of the bookshelves onto the monsters crushing them.
"Not bad, but this story isn't over!" Said Wizard Elf as he used his magic to send dozens of books and a few tables at the heroes.
The books and tables collided with each other and exploded sending paper and wood chips everywhere. Wizard Elf used his magic to create a storm that spun around the library sending papers and furniture everywhere. Bubblegum yelled in surprise as she was yanked into the air and was spun around the room, along with Neddy. Wizard Elf produced a sharp looking letter opener and flew at Bubblegum. The candy woman saw him coming and tried to fire a laser at him, but he dodged out of the way and continued to fly at her. Wizard Elf reached Bubblegum and was prepared to stab her, but she managed to fire a glob of gum into his face sending him reeling back as he pulled at the gum. As Wizard Elf did this, Neddy sent a busted up table leg at him that stabbed him through the chest!
"Aaaaaaaaaa!" Screamed Wizard Elf as he exploded into light dropping a key to the floor.
Everything else also dropped to the ground.
"You ok mom?" Asked Neddy going over to Bubblegum.
"I'm alright. Thanks for the save." Said Bubblegum before picking the key up.
The two of them left the library together.
Marceline walked into the forge/armory and saw many weapons lying about or displayed on the walls. She looked ahead and saw forge with two Card Wars monsters working around it. One was a large four armed creature shooting flames into the forge furnace and was called Fireballer and the other was a muscular looking slug man pounding a pice of metal with a hammer, called Sludger.
"So I take it you two are the bosses here?" Asked Marceline getting the creatures' attention.
"Not exactly. We're the one who made the real boss of this area." Said Fireballer.
"You beat him and you get the key." Said Sludger.
"Fair enough bring him on." Said Marceline.
There was the sound of a saw cutting through something from above and then a part of the ceiling came down along with a large armored figure. The newcomer had a humanoid body, but he had a sword for a right hand, a buzz saw for a left hand, and a axe with a mouth and a singular purple eye.
"I am the Blade Demon of Truth! You shall not defeat me!" Declared monster.
"Will see about that." Said Marceline as she readied her axe.
Blade Demon swung his sword at Marceline, but she ducked it and struck the monster with her axe, but the blows didn't seem to harm the monster at all. The boss struck with his buzz saw hand and Marceline blocked it with her axe and sparks flew. Blade Demon then kicked Marceline in the chest knocking her into a wall. He then pointed his sword hand at her and dozens of arrows and spears appeared along his arm before they all flew at Marceline! Marceline managed to block or destroy most of the projectiles, but one arrow pierced her left shoulder and a spear pierced her right foot! The vampire hissed in pain and anger as she yanked both arrow and spear and hurled them at the Blade Demon to see if they would do damage to the monster. The weapons struck the monster and shattered to bits. The Blade Demon was completely unharmed.
"Fool! You can't hurt me! I'm invincible!" Declared Blade Demon.
"Guess I have to put a bit more thought into how to beat this guy." Said Marceline as her injuries began to heal.
Marceline looked around the forge and thought about what she knew about metal and weapons and she knew what she had to do. She rushed at the Blade Demon and dodged his attacks before delivering a few powerful attacks of her own that sent the monster stumbling back to the forge furnace and knocked him into it. The a Blade Demon shouted in surprise as the heat of the furnace hit him making him turn red. Marceline saw half a dozen buckets of water laying nearby and quickly grabbed them as Blade Demon pulled himself out of the furnace.
"I'll kill you!" Bellowed Blade Demon.
"I think you need to chill!" Said Marceline as she tossed water onto the Blade Demon.
The water hit the heated metal and released steam as the metal began to cool down. Marceline hit Blade Demon with all the water and his armored began to cool down as it also produced cracks all over. The armor had become weaker. Marceline flew forward and delivered a mighty blow to Blade Demon and he shattered to bits!
"Noooo! I was invincible!" Wailed Blade Demon as his head hit the floor.
"Not anymore." Said Marceline as she turned to face Fireballer and Sludger.
"A deal is a deal. Here you go." Said Fireballer as he handed Marceline a key.
Marceline took the key and headed out.
All the teams entered the hallway close to the same time and they used the keys they won to open the door with five locks. The door opened and they headed down a hallway to face Count Nogrog and complete the quest.
