Kuri stood atop a pillar in the crescent moon's light.
"That light always led me on...was Kaneki! How do I rise from the depths…?"
"Kaneki!?" Kuri called. "No, that form is... A monster!?"
The earth ripped open in front of the building, and the Infinity building was torn apart. It collapsed in the center of the Delta.
"The CCG! That...!? Something's covering the sea! That's...!?"
"We interrupt this for a national emergency broadcast!" the TV reporter said. "This is an emergency warning announcement! First class martial law has been officially declared in the Tokyo coast area! A mysterious giant explosion is occurring in the coast area! The center of the Infinity Delta is also experiencing a severe earthquake of unknown magnitude. Martial law has been declared! Residents should take refuge at once..."
"Heh heh heh..." said Kaneki. "The time has come. Now with the energy that's been accumulated, I will assimilate this planet. The time of the utilization!"
"Assimilate this planet!?"
"When the utilization is completed, this land will be one with me. It will become a Black Hole. This planet will become our mother world! Heh heh heh! Ahahahaha!"
Kuri looks in her mirror, then toward the sea.
"The sea is subsiding all at once," she thought. "Is it foreboding a tidal wave!? Is a storm coming? If things go like this, there will be a huge earthquake."
Kuri jumped into the air.
"You!" Kaneki called. Even in Dragon Form, he recognized her..
"I must protect this land."
She landed on top of a building in the corner of the Delta.
A beam of light shot into the sky, meeting above the Infinity Delta.
"Making a force field?" Kaneki laughed. "Useless."
"Kaneki!" Kuri called. "Try to wake up!"
"When my utilization is completed, it will no longer be necessary for me to stay inside a human body!" He bent over. "I can't work freely!? I can't get out!"
"You won't escape!"
"Who's that!?"
"This body is still mine," Ken said. "You won't get out of it! I won't let you be free!"
"I thought you has disappeared near the flesh inside me. But you're still living, stubbornly. Your tiny soul! I took in the flesh and powered up. Now I have no reason to control you. I will cast off this body and break it to pieces!"
"You can tear it to pieces! It will scatter apart! But Hide's spirit! Whatever happens, I'll protect him!"
"Impudent humans! Nobody will stop me!"
Kuri attacked.
Kaneki raised her arm, and Kuri was knocked back.
"From the flesh," Kaneki said, "you can't take my power! Power! More power!" He licked his lips. "Maybe I'll eat you next."
A ball of light burst out of Kaneki. "Damn!" He said. "The souls are being taken away! But, now I am free!"
Kuri looked up. "That white light..."
"KANEKI!"

Kuri landed in the room next to Hide, checking on his condition. He was still alive. She looked up, and just as she suspected, Ken's spirit sat in the open window.
"Who are you!?" Kuri asked, barely daring to hope..
Ken opened his hands, and Hide's soul returned to his body.
Hide opened his eyes.
"Kaneki..." Hide sat up, and saw the spirit.
"Good."
"Kaneki!?" Kuri cried
"I was able to save you, Hide. I'm happy. It's good."
Kaneki's body mutated into a large monster.
Ken screamed at the physical trauma.
"Kaneki!?" Kuri reached out.
"Goodbye."
His spirit faded away. "KANEKI!?"

"This... This sad fate..." thought Hide. "Kaneki... There are people who must live this fate..."
Hide's fist tightened. "Kuri," he said. "Can you fight with me, to help Kaneki?"
She looked up. "I can fight. I won't cry anymore. I am a soldier too. With the life Kaneki brought back, I'll fight with all my might!" She clutched her fists. She wiped her eyes. "Let's go fight together!" She ran out of the room.
"Amazing," Hide thinks. "Wondrous, full of power. It's more like I've been given strength from her. And Kaneki's power too. I'll be there soon!"
The monster roared as it rose over the city.
"Hide!" Kuri said. "That thing! What is it!? It looks strange. It seems like it's in pain!"
The monster screamd as it approached them.
"Oh no!"
Kuri attacked with her arrows.
The monster fell back.
"What are you doing!" Hide called. "Quickly! Fight!"
"But it's Kaneki!"
"If you don't act, this planet will be eaten away by that thing! Hurry and defeat it!"
"Yes," Kuri thought. "I must protect it. I must save this planet!"
Hide raised his hidden weapon.
"Now join our power together!"
