Chapter 51
Sean's back at home, waiting for Chuck to come over, a few minutes later, there's a knock on the door. He opens the door and invites Chuck in
Sean: Chuck, you better have something good
Chuck and Sean go back and forth discussing Nick when Sean's phone rings
Sean: Hello?
Emma (whispers): Oh my god I miss that voice
Sean: Emma?! Baby are you ok?! Where are you?!
Emma (whispers): I don't know where I am, but Nick kidnapped me
Sean: I knew it
Chuck steps into the other room and calls the station, then pops in the living room
Chuck: Keep her on there as long as you can
Chuck pops back into the other room
Chuck: I need a tracer now, phone number is
Sean: Emma, are you ok?
Emma (weeps): I – I think so, Sean, I want to go home, I'm scared
Sean: I know babygirl, I promise we'll find you and bring you home
Emma: Is Rose, ok?
Sean: She's fine, She's with your parents right now. We're all worried out of minds about you.
Sean: Listen, if he comes down, keep me on the phone for a few seconds.
Sean hears Nick's voice in the background
Nick (to Emma): What are you doing?
Emma: I'm sorry, I was looking at the weather since I can't see anything in here
Chuck nods at Sean, Emma pressed the end call and hangs up
Nick: Give me that phone
Nick grabs the phone out of Emma's hands
Emma: I'm sorry, I just wanted to see the weather was all
Nick: You don't need to look at the weather.
Emma: Nick-
Chuck (to Sean): We got the location
Sean grabs his keys and follows Nick out the door.
Sean: I need to call Emma's parents
Chuck: Wait until after we know she's safe and we have her until you call them
Sean: I can't wait until I have her in my arms again, it feels like forever since I've held her in my arms
Chuck calls the station
Chuck: I need 2 plain clothes undercover detectives and my team on the Cameron case to meet me at the corner of Boggs and Anderson
Chuck hangs up
Sean: What- What's going on? I thought we were going to rescue Emma?
Chuck: He knows you, Sean, Just trust me, I have a plan.
They arrive at the intersection, where Swat, and Chuck's team is there waiting for him. Chuck gets out of the car and passes around the file on Nick
Chuck: This is the guy we're going after; his name is Nick Brady. He's wanted for aggravated kidnapping, harassment, and assault. The picture of the female is our victim, Emma Cameron. Her husband, Sean, is in my car. We believe she's in a basement at this address on your file
Chuck: I need one of my undercovers to go in and pretend to be from the electricity company, gain access into the house, say there's been reports of outages and they seem to be steaming from that location. Once you get in, Quietly make your way to the basement, make sure Mrs. Cameron is ok, use the call signal, "Wonderful weather we have here", get out and then we move in
Everyone nods as Chuck gives the undercover detective an ear piece, Chuck gets back in his car with Sean, as they drive down the street from Nick's house
Chuck: Soon enough we'll have her
Chuck sees the undercover detective knock on Nick's door, and sees him invite the detective in
Chuck (on his radio): Ok boys, we're in, wait for the signal
Several minutes have gone by, Nick's front door opens
Detective: Have a good day Sir, enjoy this wonderful weather we have here
Chuck (on his radio): Everybody, hold your positions
Sean: What are you doing?! We need to go get my wife
Chuck: I had my detective plant a listening device in the kitchen-
Back at Nick's, Nick goes downstairs and grabs Emma by the arm
Emma: Ow, what are you doing, you're hurting me
Nick: It's time to go, I think someone's onto us
Emma laughs
Emma: I told you they'd find me
Nick: Shut up bitch, you don't know anything
Emma begins laughing as Nick slaps her across the face, as she falls down, she touches her lip and notices it's bleeding
Emma: Your plan sucked
Nick: I said Shut up!
Nick said as he places his gun in the waist band of his pants as he grabs Emma and pulls her up, she grabs the gun from his waistband
Nick (laughs): What are you going to do? Shoot me?
Emma points the gun at him
Nick: Guns are not a toy, Emma
Emma: Shut up
Nick begins laughing again
Nick: You're not going to do anything
Emma: I said shut up!
Nick: You won't do anything because you're starting to believe that we're meant to be
Emma: No, I belong with my husband, the man I married
Nick: Why don't you just give me the gun
Nick said as he inches closer to Emma as she backs away from him
Nick: Give me the gun, Emma. Before you hurt yourself
Emma: I know what I'm doing
Nick: I said give me the damn gun
Nick said as he reaches for the gun, Emma pulls the trigger, shooting him, as he falls to the ground.
Emma: Go to hell, you bastard
Chuck and Sean hear a single gunshot come from Nick's house
Sean: Oh my god, Emma!
Sean bolts get out of the car and run to Nick's house, as Chuck gets out after Sean, they approach Nick's house, they hear a second gunshot
Sean (yells): Emma!
Chuck (on his radio): All units, move! Move! Move!
Chuck: Sean, You stand out here, I cannot risk him being armed and shooting you
Sean: Screw that shit, my wife's in there. I'm coming in with you
Chuck: I mean it Sean, stay out here
Chuck kicks down the door
Chuck: Police! Call out
Emma (crying): Down here
Chuck: Emma, are you hurt?
Emma: No
Chuck: Is Nick down there?
Emma: Yes
Chuck: Is he armed?
Emma: No
Chuck: Ok, I'm coming down
Chuck gets downstairs and sees Emma holding a gun
Chuck: Em, put the gun down
Emma: He kept me away from my family.
Emma begins crying, as she drops the gun and runs into Chucks arms
Chuck: It's ok Em, your safe now. There's someone outside whose dying to see you
Emma lifts her head up, as Chuck nods for one of the detectives to lead Emma to the front entry way. She stands in the doorway
Emma: Sean!
Emma runs out the door, with tears in his eyes, Sean turns around
Sean: Oh my god, Emma!
Emma runs into Sean's arms crying as Sean grabs her, he places his hand on the back of her head, holding her in his arms, as he kisses her head, crying tears of happiness as she wraps her arms around his back, holding him close
Sean: You're ok baby. I got you
Emma: I was so scared, I'd never see you or Rose again
Emma said as she looks at Sean, while memorizing every inch of her face, sweeping her hair behind her ear, he notices her fat lip
Emma places her hand on Sean's as he looks in her eyes
Sean: Emma, I would've moved mountains if that's what it would've taken to find you.
Emma: I just want to go home to our little girl
Sean: I know baby. I know
Emma continues to cry in Sean's arms as Chuck comes up and places his hand on Emma's back
Chuck (softly): Hey Em, I know you want to get home, but I need your statement while it's still fresh
Emma gives Chuck her statement
Chuck: Thanks Em, I'm glad you're ok
Sean (voice breaks): Chuck, Thank you for helping save my wife
Chuck smiles as he walks away. Then Emma hears a familiar voice
Manny: Emma!
Emma turns around and sees Manny runs toward Emma
Emma: Manny!
Manny: I'm so glad you're ok, god you had us all worried sick
Emma: I'm ok, I'm just shaken up. I just want to go home to my family
Manny and Sean place their arms around Emma
Manny: Come on, let's get you guys home.
Emma sniffles as she lays her head on Sean's shoulder as they walk to Manny's car
Sean: Babe, do you want to call your parents?
Emma: Yea, let me call Mom.
Sean hands Emma his phone as they get in Manny's Car
Spike: Hello?
Emma (sniffles): Hey mommy
Spike: Oh, Emma! You're ok!
Emma: Yea, I'm ok. Sean and Chuck rescued me.
Spike (voice breaks): My baby, I'm so happy you're ok.
Emma hears Rose in the background
Emma (voice breaks): Is that my baby girl I hear?
Spike: She's perfectly fine honey, been missing her mama
Emma begins to cry while Sean pulls her in his arms
Emma: I've missed her
Sean rubs Emma's back for comfort, as Emma gives the phone to Sean as she continues crying
Sean (softly): It's ok baby, I promise you're safe now
Sean gets on the phone with Spike
Spike: My poor baby.
Sean: I know she wants to see you guys and Rose, we'll come by later tonight, so Em can see you guys and we can get Rose
Spike: Are you sure? We can keep Rose tonight, it's not a problem
Sean: I know, I'm sure Emma just wants our family together
Spike: Ok, Tell Emma I love her, I'll see you guys later tonight
Sean: I will. We'll see you guys later tonight
Sean hangs up as he rubs his hand on Emma's back as she curls up in his arms
Emma: I never been more scared in my life than I was when he took me, I was so scared I'd never see you or Rose again.
Manny: Em, I'm just happy you're ok, I can only imagine how frightened you were
Emma: All I could think about was my family
Emma said as she softly cries
Sean: I know baby, I know. I promise you, Emma. You're safe now.
Emma lifts her head up as Sean looks in her eyes, wipes a tear away from her eyes and smiles
Emma: What are you looking at me like that for?
Sean: I missed staring into those beautiful eyes
Emma: I missed you, so damn much
Sean: I never would've stopped looking until I found you, baby. I promise you that
Emma: I believe you.
Sean holds Emma in his arms and kisses her head. A couple minutes later, Manny pulls up at Emma and Sean's house.
Manny: I love you Em. Call me tomorrow, ok?
Manny: Sean, call me if you need anything
Manny said as Emma and Sean get out of the car
Sean: I will
Emma: Love you, Manny
Manny drives off as Sean and Emma walk in their house, as Emma sits on the couch
Sean: Let me get you some water babe.
Emma: Sean?
Sean: Yea, babe?
Emma: I love you, with all my heart. Thank you for coming to my rescue
Sean kisses Emma on her forehead
Sean: I love you, I promised you I would always be there for you, no matter what. I will always protect you, I will always look for you, if you're ever lost babe.
Emma: I know you would
Emma said as Sean hands Emma a glass of water
Sean: Listen baby, I was so scared, I'd never see you, I barely slept the whole time you were missing.
Emma: Really?
Sean: I couldn't sleep with the love of my life out there, scared out of her mind
Emma: I can't wait to see Rosie
Sean: She said her first words yesterday
Emma: She did?
Sean nods yes as he sits on the couch next to her
Sean: She said Mama
Emma sniffles and chuckles
Emma: Here I thought she'd be a daddy's girl
Emma sets her glass down on the table in front of her as she sits back on the couch in Sean's arms, rubbing her back
Sean: I'm right here, Em. I promise you're safe
Emma: I know.
Sean: I'll always be right here, no matter what
Emma looks up at Sean and softly smiles
Emma: I've always felt the safest when I'm in your arms
Sean smiles as he leans in and kisses Emma
Sean: I'm so happy you're home and you're ok. I was so worried about you, Em
Sean's phone begins buzzing in his pocket, he pulls out his phone and sees it's Tracker
Sean (to Emma): It's Tracker
Sean: Hello?
Tracker: Hey, I just finished my date and seen you called, what's up? Have you heard anything about Emma?
Sean pulls Emma close to him
Sean: Actually yea, Chuck and I rescued her about an hour ago. She's home, safe with me
Tracker lets out a sigh of relief
Tracker: Whew! Thank god! Is she alright?
Sean: She's pretty shaken up but she's ok thankfully. I think Em's call to me put a stop in his plans with her
Sean said as he looks at Emma whose asleep in his arms
Tracker: So, it was Nick who had her?
Sean: Yea. She called me from his phone, that's how Chuck and I found her
Tracker: Seriously?
Sean: Man, I could hear in her voice how scared she was.
Tracker: I'm just glad she's safe honestly.
Sean: Me too. She must of just fell asleep on me a few minutes ago
Tracker: I know she probably needs the rest.
Sean: We're supposed to go over to her moms and pick up Rose, but I'm thinking about calling Spike and telling her just keep Rose for the night and let Emma sleep.
Tracker: No, it'll be good for her to see the baby and her parents. Just let her sleep a little, family time will do her good.
Sean: So, how'd the date go with your real estate agent?
Tracker and Sean continue chatting as Emma sleeps in Sean's arms
