Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 32
Outer edge of Taki: With Naruto
Naruto slashed at Suigetsu with his executioner's blade which was covered in chakra infused water; Suigetsu blocked the attack with his Kabutowari as both his and Naruto's blades bit into each other. Naruto growled as he pressed with all his might with both of his arms while Suigetsu only used one arm to hold Naruto back.
"Heh; you're an even bigger dumbass than I thought" Suigetsu said as he raised the hammer that was connected to his sword "now you'll see why it's called 'helmet splitter'" he said with a smile as Naruto went wide eyed.
Before Naruto could pull away Suigetsu slammed the hammer onto the back end of his sword; the result was Suigetsu sword going into Naruto's sword halfway through the blade and making Naruto's feet sink into the ground.
Naruto strained against the blow as he looked at Suigetsu in anger "bastard" Naruto shouted as he made a single hand sign; Naruto created a water bullet from one of his belt canteens and sent it towards Suigetsu. Suigetsu was hit square in the chest and sent flying back before hitting a tree and falling to the ground.
Naruto looked at his sword and growled "my sword; you nearly broke Zabuza's sword, you're gonna pay for that" Naruto shouted as Suigetsu got back to his feet.
"Shut it, you blonde bastard" Suigetsu said getting back into his fighting stance "I'll repair that sword when I pry it from your cold dead corpse" he said.
"Well let's go mother fucker" Naruto shouted as he got back into a fighting stance himself.
With Itachi
Itachi was currently fighting Sasuke and so far, it was pretty one sided; Sasuke was swinging his sword at Itachi who was blocking with ease with his own sword. Sasuke was so caught up in rage and vengeance that he was sloppy not focused; Itachi decided to parry a thrust from Sasuke and Sasuke was thrown off balance and fell forward towards Itachi.
Itachi drove his fist into Sasuke's jaw cracking his teeth and cutting the inside of his cheek making him spit up blood; Itachi followed up with a kick to the gut knocking the wind out of Sasuke. Itachi jumped and spun around landing a kick to Sasuke making him fly back and roll on the ground before getting back up and glaring at Itachi.
"Are you done with your little tantrum" Itachi said cooly "if you calm down for a minute I can- "Itachi began but Sasuke spoke up.
"Shut up" Sasuke said his eyes full of fury and hate "all I want is to see you dead; no more no less" Sasuke said as he extended his left arm and focused his chakra. Sasuke formed a Chidori in his left hand as it crackled to life "Now die" Sasuke roared as he ran towards Itachi at top speed.
Itachi sighed as he saw his brother run towards him; from his point of view Sasuke was running in slow motion 'what an idiot' Itachi thought as Sasuke neared. Itachi tossed his sword into his left hand and used his right hand to redirect Sasuke's Chidori to the side at the last moment; Sasuke seeing his jutsu failed to hit Itachi tried to slash at Itachi with his sword.
However, Itachi brought up his own sword and blocked the attack with a resounding clang; Sasuke was about to attack again until Itachi surprised his with an attack he was not expecting. Itachi headbutted Sasuke in the nose using his leaf headband as a weapon; Sasuke's nose sprayed blood as he stumbled backwards holding his broken nose.
"Very well little brother" Itachi said his sharingan glowing "I guess I have no choice but to beat some sense into you" he said.
With Kakashi and Yamato
"Lightning blade" Kakashi roared as he thrusted his lightning jutsu toward Kimmimaru; Kimmimaru seeing Kakashi coming at him created a bone pillar from the ground to shield him from Kakashi's attack. Kakashi's lightning blade plunged into the bone pillar cracking it but ultimately failing to break through; Kakashi pulled his hand out just as Kimmimaru came around the bone pillar to attack him.
Kimmimaru slashed at Kakashi with his spine spear cutting open his jonin vest and drawing blood but now causing any serious injury; Kimmimaru was about to follow up with another attack but before he could he was stopped when he was hit in the stomach by a wooden pillar with spikes.
Kimmimaru was sent flying into a building crashing through a large window; Kimmimaru immediately came back out with his stomach cut up and bleeding from the attack.
"You ok Kakashi" Yamato asked as he looked over to Kakashi who was looking at his wound.
"Yeah, I'm fine" Kakashi said as he took off his ruined vest "going to have a wicked scar on my chest though" he said.
"Such annoying pests" Kimmimaru said as he pointed both of his hands at Kakashi and Yamato "die" he said; Kimmimaru fired 20 bone bullets from his finger tips at Kakashi and Yamato. Yamato immediately slammed his hands onto the ground.
"Wood wall" Yamato shouted as a wall of wood appeared in front of him and Kakashi; the bone bullets struck the wall with various degrees of effectiveness. Most of the bone bullets were stopped 90 percent of the way though the wall however several made it through.
Kakashi using his sharingan dodged one bullet while another grazed his shoulder; Yamato meanwhile was hit in the shoulder and fell to the ground "Yamato" Kakashi shouted. As soon as he said that the situation only got worse as the next moment the wood wall was hit and pierced; Kimmimaru used his bone lance to pierce though Yamato's wall and was now heading towards the wounded jonin.
However, before he could finish off Yamato Kimmimaru was kicked in the side of the head by Kakashi; Kimmimaru skidded a couple feet and Kakashi was now in between Yamato and Kimmimaru.
"Yamato, how's your wound" Kakashi asked and Yamto groaned as he took out a roll of gauze.
"I think he hit an artery" Yamato said as he began to pack his wound full of gauze "don't worry about me; I can still assist" he said.
"Just provide backup" Kakashi said as he took out 2 kunai and held one in each hand "I got this" he said; Kakashi charged both kunai with a raikiri as both kunai were now encased in lightning.
With Naruto
Naruto slashed at Suigetsu with his half-broken sword and Suigetsu dodged as Naruto's blade passed him harmlessly; Suigetsu swung his sword at Naruto and Naruto attempted to dodge but failed. Naruto got cut across his right ribs making him wince in pain.
Suigetsu saw his opportunity and followed up by throwing another attack at Naruto; Naruto brought up his sword to block the attack. Suigetsu sword clashed against Naruto's and Suigetsu brought up his hammer again "jackass" Suigestu said as he brought down the hammer.
The hammer hit Suigetsu's blade and the resulting force smashed through Naruto's sword snapping it in half; Naruto was sent flying across the clearing bouncing off the ground several times before stopping. Naruto groaned as he got up on his knees and saw his sword in front of him; he attempted to reach out but saw something that made his blood run cold.
Naruto saw that his arm was snapped in half with his radius and ulna both sticking out of his skin; Naruto froze as he looked at his arm.
"Hahahaha" Suigetsu laughed "what you going to do know; broken sword, broken arm, your fucked" he taunted.
However, Naruto glared at Suigetsu with a glare that shook him to his core "you broke Zabuza's sword; you're going to motherfucking pay" he shouted. Suigetsu saw as red chakra began to flow out of Naruto and began to encase him; in a few second Naruto was now in his red chakra fox armor.
Suigetsu saw Naruto's right arm begin to snap back into place and his fingers begin to flex "get ready to die water boy" Naruto said as he gripped his broken sword. There was only about a foot of blade left but it would be more than enough to end the fight; Naruto's sword began to glow red and Naruto charged at Suigetsu.
Naruto slashed at Suigetsu who narrowly avoided the attack and countered with a slash with his sword; Naruto put up his armored arm and blocked the strike surprising Suigetsu. Suigetsu brought up his hammer to bring down and possible chop off Naruto's arm; however, Naruto pulled back his arm making Suigetsu fall towards him.
Naruto used this opportunity to slash at Suigetsu and used his broken sword to chop off the arm Suigetsu was using to hold the Kabutowari; Suigetsu didn't feel any pain as his arm was severed but Naruto wasn't done.
Naruto slashed again at Suigetsu and proceeded to slash Suigetsu across his stomach; Suigetsu fell to his knees in pain as his water body was not regenerating. Suigetsu in a final act of desperation tried to hit Naruto with the hammer of the Kabutowari; Suigetsu swung the hammer towards Naruto but Naruto caught it stopping the attack.
"You lose" Naruto said as he stabbed Suigetsu in the chest with his glowing red broken sword; Suigetsu screamed as the blade began to boil Suigetsu and he began to steam. After a few second the screaming stopped as Suigetsu evaporated into nothing; the hammer of the Kabutowari fell to the ground and Naruto looked at it.
Naruto put up his sword hand picked up the Kabutowari with the sword in his left hand and hammer in his right hand 'holy shit this thing is heavy' Naruto thought getting a feel for the sword 'but I don't have a lot of options' he thought as he looked in 2 different directions. 'Hmmm… Itachi can handle Sasuke pretty easy; I better go help Kakashi sensei and Yamato' Naruto thought as he began to run to where the main village.
With Itachi
"This is just getting sad Sasuke" Itachi said as he looked at the kneeling and bloody form of his younger brother; Sasuke had multiple cuts and bruises all over his body and had one eye swollen shut. Sasuke growled as he got up to his feet on shaky legs.
"I…will not be denied" Sasuke said breathing heavily "I will not lose" he said and Itachi sighed.
"Foolish little- "Itachi began until he felt a presence behind him; Itachi jumped out of the way as 'Madara' appeared out of a vortex and tried to stab Itachi. Itachi jumped away and got into a defensive stance "Madara" Itachi said dangerously.
"Hello Itachi" Madara said "having fun with your little brother after all these years" he said and Itachi scowled.
"Madara" Itachi said deepening his stance.
"Stay out of this" Sasuke said gripping Madara's cloak "Itachi is mine and mine al- "Sasuke began until kneed in the gut by Madara. Sasuke coughed out his breath and fell unconscious and Madara caught him.
"Such arrogance" Madara said holding Sasuke "such foolishness; he couldn't beat you if you were still sick, let alone at full health" he said. "Right Itachi" Madara said.
"Let him go" Itachi said and Madara shook his head.
"He is still valuable to me; more than that girl there" Madara said pointing at Fu who was leaning up against the tree only a few yards away from Itachi "better to sacrifice a pawn than a bishop" he said as he began to transport himself away. "Until next time" Madara said as he began to warp away.
"No" Itach shouted as he threw a kunai; Madara vanished just as the kunai reached him and it stuck anti-climatically into a tree "shit" Itachi cursed. Itachi collected his thoughts and walked over to Fu and looked her over. 'Minor bruising, maybe a concussion' Itachi thought as he picked her up 'I need to get her medical assistance; hopefully the others can handle the enemy without me' he thought.
With Kakashi and Yamato
Yamato was launching wood pillars at Kimmimaru who was dodging his attack faster than he could launch them; Yamato was feeling dizzy and a little cold. So far, he's been bleeding out for nearly 15 minutes and spamming jutsu trying to help Kakashi wasn't helping.
"Kakashi; I can't keep this up" Yamato said trying to keep pressure on his wound "I'm losing too much blood" he said.
"Just hold on until Naruto or weasel gets here" Kakashi said as he ran in and engaged Kimmimaru; Kakashi slashed at Kimmimaru with his raikiri covered kunai. Kimmimaru brought up his bone sword and blocked the attack before using the sword in his other hand to launch a thrust at Kakashi; Kakashi dodged to the side before throwing a kick at Kimmimaru which hit him in his solar plexus.
Kakashi put both of his kunai together making the raikiri's crackle even louder as they combined; Kakashi jumped up and came down in an overhead chop. Kimmimaru put both of his swords up in a 'X' formation and the chop made contact; lightning began to fly around and both Kimmimaru and Kakashi were hit by stray lightning.
Kimmimaru seeing and opportunity created a bone spike on his heel and let Kakashi fall towards him; Kimmimaru performed a spinning heel kick towards Kakashi. Kimmimaru's heel spike was going towards Kakashi's stomach and Kakashi made a desperate move; Kakashi brought up his leg and the bone spike went through his shin bone.
Kakashi screamed in pain as the bone spike went through his shin breaking it in half; Kimmimaru pulled his bone spike out and Kakashi fell to the ground holding his leg. Kimmimaru raised up both of his swords and was preparing to kill Kakashi; however, before he could deliver the finishing blow Kimmimaru was stopped when 3 wood spikes impaled him through the back.
Kimmimaru turned around and saw Yamato with his arm out stretched; Yamato then fell backwards and leaned against a power pole 'that was all I had left' he thought as he was fading in and out of consciousness.
Kimmimaru began to run towards Yamato in order to finish him off instead of Kakashi; Kakashi seeing this tried to get up but fell over as his leg was all but useless now 'goddamnit no' Kakashi thought as he watched Kimmimaru run to Yamato.
As Kimmimaru neared Yamato he was stopped once again as he saw a red figure above him "'sup asshole" Naruto shouted as he brought down Kabutowari down on Kimmimaru. Kimmimaru hardened the bones in his right arm to block the attack; Naruto's sword hit Kimmimaru's arm with a loud 'clang' and Naruto felt the shock like he hit a boulder.
Naruto smirked as he raised up the hammer part of his sword "you just messed up dude" Naruto said as he brought down the hammer; the hammer slammed against the back of the sword and resulted in a horrible wound to Kimmimaru. The sword sliced through Kimmimaru's arm as it fell to the ground; Kimmimaru grit his teeth holding back his scream as he formed his bone lance on his other arm.
Naruto saw this and was hit in the head by the bone lance; Naruto's fox armor helmet absorbed the majority of the impact but he felt his world get rocked. Naruto was sent to the ground slamming into the pavement as his helmet cracked and broke off; Naruto was dazed but quickly got back up and with shaky vision launched another strike at Kimmimaru with his sword.
Kimmimaru blocked the sword with the lance before stepping in closer to Naruto before he could raise up his hammer; Kimmimaru created a bone spike on his forehead and in a savage move headbutted Naruto. The bone spike hit Naruto on his headband denting it and making Naruto's head jerk back.
Naruto's vision was even more blurry and he began to stumble back in a daze; Kimmimaru was now enraged as he prepared to send his bone lance towards Naruto's head.
"Insolent pest" Kimmimaru shouted as launched his attack "now die" he shouted; Kimmimaru's lance neared Naruto's head and was only inches away before Kimmimaru's head exploded in a shower of blood and brain matter.
A Kunai covered in lightning landed in a wall as Kimmimaru's body fell to the ground his lance passing Naruto's head by a few inches; Kakashi with his hand extended was breathing heavily as he looked at his handiwork.
"Just in time" Kakashi said before looking at Naruto "Naruto are you ok" he said; Naruto did not respond except for a thumbs up.
"Y-y-y-"Naruto began but fell to his knees before falling onto his side; Naruto's Fox armor disappeared and his broken arm was revealed and began to bleed rapidly.
"Naruto" Kakashi shouted as he dragged himself over to his fallen student; Kakashi looked over Naruto as he began to put a torniquet on his arm "concussion, broken arm and severed artery" Kakashi said looking at Naruto as he saw clear fluid leaking out of Naruto's nose. "Naruto hold on; I'll get you a doctor" Kakashi said "Yamato; how are you doing" Kakashi asked as he looked over to Yamato.
However, when Kakashi looked over to where Yamato just was he saw only a blood covered power pole "Yamato" Kakashi said confused.
Outside Taki: With Madara
Madara was waiting with a unconscious Sasuke on the ground; as he did so he saw the earth rise up a few yards away from him.
"We have returned" White Zetsu said "And look what we have" Black Zetsu said as they full emerged from the ground; Zetsu was holding a barely alive Yamato over his shoulder. Madara seeing this chuckled.
"Maybe this mission wasn't a complete failure after all" Madara said.
