I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc is ongoing…where the students of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy are in a frenzy as assassins are popping up trying to assassinate the princess of Novoselic…and how the Hope's Peak students would respond to this incessant threats…

Ch. 55: Atarashī wariate part 10

By then police cars arrived and Saihara was slightly relieved that reinforcement arrived but recalled what happened earlier and he became alert as he had a feeling that the cops that showed up could be assassins in disguise.

His suspicions were confirmed as he saw that the police car had seven people inside and as they opened the windows they began shooting at the taxi with machine guns, and Saihara gritted his teeth seeing that more and more assassins are showing up and suspect that someone is providing the assassins with weapons and police uniforms, and now he realized that he made the right choice in sending Sonia to Hope's Peak Superhero Academy as the police can't be trusted.

The police car that is pursuing the taxi is speeding up and the driver told his fellow assassins to shoot down the tires to slow the taxi down or shoot at the gas compartment so that the taxi would explode and kill the occupants, which the assassins nodded in acknowledgement, unaware that their target is not inside the taxi.

"Shoot the taxi down! Kill everyone inside! We must fulfill our mission! The princess of Novoselic must die!"

"Yes sir!"

Realizing that he had to divert the assassins' attention, Saihara attempted to lead the pursuers to an open area without many people around and there he took a detour which the pursuing assassins saw the taxi heading to a different direction and there the lead assassin rallied his fellow assassins to follow Saihara and shoot down the taxi through any means necessary, which the other assassins roared in approval.

"Shoot the taxi down! Don't let it out of your sights! Kill the driver! Kill everyone inside! We must fulfill our mission! The princess of Novoselic must die!"

"Yes sir!"

As Saihara led the pursuers to another area within the freeway he decided to try misleading them and he drove the taxi and went to another area and at this point a patrolling police car saw the speeding taxi and followed it, and there Saihara stopped at a sidewalk and immediately got out, which surprised the two cops before Saihara brought out his Hope's Peak Superhero Academy ID, which the cops recognize it and asked Saihara why was he speeding.

After a brief explanation the cops were alarmed at hearing this and they immediately contacted the nearest police station and requested for reinforcement, but then Saihara saw the other police car and he told the two cops about it and there one of the cops drew his gun and aimed at the other police car and demanded that the occupants identify themselves, seeing that five of them are inside as the real cop believe what Saihara said as he finds it strange that five men are on the police car as normally only two can ride on it unless there is an emergency.

Then another police car arrived and it also has five men on board while wearing police uniforms, and Saihara gritted his teeth as he realized that the cops from the two police cars are the assassins, as the ten men got off and are armed with sub-machine guns, and there Saihara told the two cops that the men are assassins in disguise and urged them to take evasive action.

"Watch out! They're assassins in disguise!"

"Huh?"

"What?"

"Their first act are to shoot anyone in sight! They're going to kill you!"

"!"

"Quick! Take cover!"

"Damn!"

"You can't be serious!"

The two cops followed Saihara as the assassins in police uniforms opened fire, shooting down the police car and did not let up as they continue to shoot it down until the car exploded in flames, and there the assassins opened fire at the taxi as they are making sure that their target is inside the vehicle, but the lead assassin noticed that no blood is being splattered and realized that Sonia is not inside and there he told his subordinates to kill Saihara and the two cops as they cannot let any witnesses live, which the other assassins nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes sir!"

Saihara led the two cops towards an establishment and hoped that there are no people around, but to his dismay there were shoppers around and there he told the customers to evacuate immediately which the people were baffled at what Saihara is trying to point out, thinking that he is merely seeking attention.

However the two cops whom Saihara helped were staggering backwards as they are being riddled with bullets and Saihara stared wide-eyed as the assassins came forward and shoot the two cops to death, and seeing a lot of people the assassins began a shooting spree and riddled anyone on sight with hails of bullets and many screamed as they are being shot to death due to the indiscriminate actions of the assassins.

"AAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE!"

"GGGGGGGGGYYYYYYYAAAAHHH!"

"WWWWWWAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

"UUUUUUUUURRRRRRKKKKHHHH!"

"AAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE!"

"GGGGGGGGGYYYYYYYAAAAHHH!"

"WWWWWWAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

"UUUUUUUUURRRRRRKKKKHHHH!"

Saihara was forced to do something as he grabbed the gun from one of the dead cops and began to open fire, trying to divert the assassins' attention and it somewhat worked as the assassins began to shift their attention towards the teen detective and began to shoot him, but Saihara hid behind a parked car, using it as a shield.

Though Saihara shoots back he is forced to stay hidden as the assassins continue to open fire using their sub-machine guns and riddled the car with bullets and they didn't let up as they appeared to be PROGRAMMED to kill all witnesses on sight.

At this point Saihara's classmate from Class 80 arrived, who turn out to be Miu Iruma, and she is riding what appeared to be a motorcycle with a sidecar, and there she greeted Saihara despite the hail of bullets flying around, and there Saihara told Iruma to call Hope's Peak Superhero Academy for help as they are outgunned due to the assassins having lots of ammunition, but she assured to him that she has things covered.

"Oh, don't worry."

"Huh?"

"Everything is under control!"

"Seriously?"

"Yup!"

"But those guys…"

"Just leave them to me!"

"How can you…?"

Pressing a button, the motorcycle with a sidecar began to change shape that is akin to a Transformer, as it increased in size and length, transforming into a mechanized walker similar to the mecha from Star Wars, and there the assassins didn't appeared to be daunted and shoots at the mecha but the mecha was bulletproof and Iruma laughed haughtily as she opened fire, shooting rubber bullets and struck the assassins, knocking them down.

There Iruma told Saihara to get going as she revealed that Akamatsu and Sonia are on their way to Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, and that she would hold the assassins off until the real authorities arrive, which Saihara nodded, but then one of the assassins came and brought out an RPG, getting ready to shoot Saihara down.

Fortunately, Naegi arrived and, still wearing the red suit, uses his body and arms as a shield and intercepted the RPG shell, and he appeared to be unharmed, which Saihara asked Naegi if he is okay, in which the latter said that he is fine, as he told Saihara that he managed to knock out the assassins outside of the safehouse and made his way here.

"I managed to take care of them!"

"Really?"

"Yes."

"That's a relief…"

"Maizono is on her way to Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, so she's going to meet up with Akamatsu and Princess Sonia."

"That's good to hear…"

"So then…"

"Yeah, we could use some…"

Iruma then interrupted and told Naegi and Saihara to go on ahead as she would hold the assassins off, which Saihara reluctantly nodded though Naegi asked if this is okay, which Saihara said it is fine,. Reasoning that Iruma knows what she's doing, and the two boys departed as Iruma laughed haughtily as she tells the remaining assassins that they are going to get a lot of dose of her invention.

However, the assassins were not intimidated as they opened their upper uniforms, revealing that they are wearing bomb vests, and there the lead assassin told his fellow assassins that they must be loyal to the cause and reiterated that they must kill those who stood in their mission, which they nodded in agreement.

"Yes sir!"

Iruma wasn't fazed and told the assassins that they are really stupid, which irked them as the assassin squad leader prodded his subordinates to show Iruma her place and to prove that they are the best assassins in the world, which they roared in acknowledgement.

"Yes sir!"

Meanwhile, the scene shows that the taxi that Akamatsu and Sonia are riding on are nearing Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, and the driver was quite baffled after Akamatsu constantly telling him to be careful and mindful of his surroundings, yet he didn't seem to mind it at first but as they are just one block away, a police car came and sirens were blaring, which the taxi driver thought that the police is telling him to pull over.

However, Akamatsu noticed that the police car has five people on board and she suspected something which prompted her to tell the taxi driver to keep driving, reasoning that they are not policemen, and when she told him the reason why, the driver slowly got spooked and did as told, as he never thought that he would get embroiled in a possible fight.

However the occupants inside the police car began to bring out their sub-machine guns and opened fire at the taxi, which the driver and the two girls were taken aback at being shot down by the assassins while Akamatsu told the driver to keep going until reaching Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

Seeing that the taxi wasn't stopping, the lead assassin told his fellow assassins to keep shooting at the vehicle and kill all the occupants inside no matter what as he reminded them of their mission to kill Sonia Nevermind even at the cost of their lives, which the other assassins roared in acknowledgement.

"Yes sir!"

However the driver saw through the side mirror that one of the assassins brought out an RPG and there he told the girls about it and urged them to get out immediately, prompting the two girls to jump out, and there the taxi attempted to speed away but the assassin fired the RPG shell and struck the taxi, causing the vehicle to explode, and killed the driver in the process.

Sonia was horrified and seeing that the assassins are getting out of the police car, she told Akamatsu to go ahead while she holds them off, but Akamatsu refused and reiterated to Sonia that she will protect her no matter what, even though Sonia was feeling guilty for indirectly causing so many deaths.

Suddenly help came as Kibo arrived and uses his cybernetic weapons to keep the assassins at bay, and there he told Akamatsu to get going and head to Hope's Peak Superhero Academy while there is time, saying that he got the word from Naegi and Saihara, and that the headmaster is aware of the current situation.

"Akamatsu!"

"Kibo!"

"You go ahead!"

"But…"

"I got the gist from Naegi-sensei about the situation! And the headmaster is also aware of the situation!"

"Really?"

"Take the princess and head to the academy!"

"Okay!"

As Akamatsu nodded she took Sonia's hand and the two girls immediately ran off, but then two more police cars arrived and blocked Akamatsu and Sonia's paths, and there the two girls realized that the occupants are assassins in disguise as they brought out their weapons and aimed towards Sonia, but then a tennis ball hits one of the assassins which diverted their attention from the two girls.

It is then shown that Ryoma Hoshi was the one who attacked the assassins, and there more help came as Tenko Chabashira and Maki Harukawa arrived as well and told Akamatsu to get going while they would hold the assassins off until the real cops arrived.

"Guys!"

"You go on ahead!"

"We'll deal with these assholes!"

"Leave them to us."

"Okay! Thanks!"

"Go now!"

"We'll take over from here!"

"Protect the princess!"

Akamatsu nodded and there she tells Sonia not to give up as they are just moments away from entering Hope's Peak Superhero Academy and promised her that she would be protected until the mastermind behind the assassination attempt is exposed and arrested.

"Come on, princess!"

"But…"

"We're almost at the academy!"

"Is it really okay?"

"Yes it is!"

"But…you and your school would…"

"Don't worry about it! Hope's Peak will protect you!"

"…"

As the two girls made a run for it, Akamatsu was determined to protect Sonia and looked around to make sure that there are no assassins around, and a minute later Sonia saw what Akamatsu is pointing at, and the princess of Novoselic stared in awe as she saw the exterior of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, and there Akamatsu said that the academy would be Sonia's temporary place of protection until the identity of the mastermind behind the assassination attempt is exposed and arrested.

"See that? That's Hope's Peak Superhero Academy!"

"Whoa…"

"And it's a school where students are being trained to become pro heroes!"

"Really?"

"And if you want…you can study here…become a pro hero while being a princess…"

"Is that possible?"

"Yeah."

"I…huh?"

However, an ambulance suddenly appeared and blocked the two girls 'path, and while Sonia is baffled, Akamatsu realized what it is and had the princess go behind her, and there the occupants of the ambulance came out, who turn out to be assassins, armed with sub-machine guns and there one of the assassins urged his fellow assassins to kill Sonia immediately which they roared in approval.

"There she is! Shoot her down! Kill her! Kill the other girl as well! Don't let them escape! We must fulfill our mission! The princess of Novoselic must die no matter what!"

"Yes sir!"

Hope you liked this chapter, as things are getting frantic here as Akamatsu and Saihara are having difficulty in fending off the assassins who are determined to assassinate Sonia by hook or crook…thankfully Naegi resurfaced and provided an assist, just as the characters of Danganronpa V3 showed up for support…

But things took a turn as more assassins appeared just as Akamatsu and Sonia are about to enter Hope's Peak Superhero Academy, and are now ready to kill the two girls…
