Ch. 14: Kyodai kabutomushi no machibuse part 2

Nearby the establishment, the scene shows that the rest of the Fenrir members arrived as they are about to meet up with Ikusaba and the rest, and with them are the remaining survivors whom Naegi temporarily left behind and just then the other group seemingly heard sounds of gunfire, and there the Fenrir members realized that Ikusaba and the others are likely fighting off another giant insect.

One of the Fenrir members brought out a binoculars and surveyed the scene and there she saw that one of their fellow Fenrir members is fighting off against a giant one-horned beetle, and she told her fellow Fenrir member about it, which he sighed in dismay and annoyance as he felt that they'd be losing ammo of this kind of situation keeps up.

"There are at least two giant beetles…"

"Two of them?"

"Yeah."

"Damn. We can't keep this up. We'll lose ammo quickly…"

"Any suggestion…?"

"Not at the moment…"

"Damn it…"

"…"

There the leader of the escorting Fenrir members, Kyosuke, told the survivors they are escorting to take cover if they don't want to get eaten alive by the giant beetles, which they nodded in acknowledgement.

"You guys…if you don't want to become insect chow you better hide nearby! We'll try to kill those six-legged motherfuckers!"

"Okay!"

The survivors who went with the Fenrir members after being told that they are going to be escorted to where Kirigiri and the others are hid behind the corner of an establishment and discreetly watched as the Fenrir members fight off one of the two giant crickets. The survivors watching the scene consists of the following:

- Byakuya Togami

- Yui Samidare

- Aloysius Pennyworth

- Sayaka Maizono

- Yasuhiro Hagakure

- Ayaka Haneyama

- Satomi Aoba

- Hiroko Hagakure

Suddenly a stray giant beetle showed up and there Kyosuke was taken aback and instinctively aimed his sub-machine gun at the giant beetle's face and opened fire, causing the giant beetle to recoil but kept on firing, and his fellow Fenrir comrades join in and shoots the giant beetle at point-blank range.

While the Fenrir members who are escorting the survivors are shown, they continue to fight the giant beetle as they are making sure that they kill it so as there won't be any problems or possible complications, as they were strictly instructed by Ikusaba to ensure that any giant insects they encountered must be killed off.

The Fenrir soldiers, armed with weapons and even night vision goggles, managed to weakened the giant beetle as they kept on shooting at its face until it could no longer move, and there they focused on shooting it down, riddling it with bullets as they wanted to make sure it won't pose any threat to them.

The Fenrir soldiers escorting Togami and the other survivors are identified as:

- Kyosuke

- Norika

- Aki

- Miki

- Sawada

- Mizushima

- Kida

- Mitsuo Mishimo

There some of the Fenrir members, particularly Kyosuke, were mentally grumbling as they felt like they are acting like babysitters for a bunch of teenagers and a few adults, and they wished that they could come up with a convincing alibi so as to fool Ikusaba into thinking that the survivors were eaten alive by the giant insects.

"Damn…why the hell did I agree to this…?I didn't sign in with Fenrir for this…! I'm a damn mercenary…!"

"That damn Ikusaba…what was she thinking…? We're soldiers…not babysitters…"

"Is Ikusaba looking down on us…? The nerve of her…"

"I feel like we've been degraded…so humiliating…"

"Damn it…we're supposed to be doing soldier-like work…not act like caregivers…!"

"I feel like we're wasting time here…"

"I hate this kind of assignment…"

"Damn kids…I wish we could ditch these assholes…"

Togami and the others hid behind the wall of an establishment and watched as the Fenrir members deal with the giant beetle, and there he told his fellow survivors that for now they should stay put and let the Fenrir soldiers deal with the giant beetle, which they nodded in agreement as they believe that this is the best course of action at the moment.

However, once more things got a bit tense but in a hilarious way as Yasuhiro saw a nearby vending machine and thought of doing a lockpick to see if it has a lot of SPARE CHANGE, but his mom, Hiroko, smacked him on the head and told her son to stay put or else she would have the Fenrir soldiers willingly use him as bait for the giant beetle, which petrified Yasuhiro and submitted in utter fear.

"You heard me, you insensitive idiot! Either you stay here and behave yourself or else I'll tell those soldiers to sacrifice you to those giant bugs!"

"Wwwwaaahhhh! You can't be serious!"

"I am! And I'm really getting fed up with your antics every time you see a vending machine and you would do something stupid! You should already know by now that there's no time for you to look for some spare change!"

"I'll say this for the very last time…behave yourself or else I'll leave you here and let those soldiers use you as a sacrifice and have those giant bugs eat you up!"

Not far, the scene shows that Enoshima and Yuta are hiding behind a one-story establishment building after narrowly avoiding being seen by another giant beetle. Both were naked as they accidentally dropped their clothes after escaping the bathhouse, but found some slippers along the way, hence they were able to move on foot.

Both appeared to be safe for now, though Yuta appeared to be slightly worried yet she managed to lift his morale as she reminded him that once they escaped the island with the others they can resume their normal lives and that they would go on a date like what other romantic couples do, which Yuta blushed again as he realized that they were already going out after indirectly agreeing a few days ago after having sex at the previous island.
