"10 Months..."
Kratos was once again in the forest to hunt, though this time he went to the lake area and brought in a large fish the size of a bear. He was now bringing it back home. Though while he was returning to the cabin, he couldn't help but think about the last time he had met Rosa. That was nearly 10 months ago. And the last time they met, it was during that "night of passion". He would admit, even though the two spent a whole night together, he didn't develop any romantic feelings for her. But even if he didn't love her in such a way, to say he doesn't care about Rosa at all would be a lie. He cared enough to let her do what she wanted to him. He couldn't deny that he enjoyed it, though that was besides the point.
"Hm..."
It was this very reason that Kratos cared; he was left confused and wondering why Rosa hadn't visited him lately. Not to say she was obligated to visit him 24/7, if she wanted to stop seeing him, then that was fine. If she had decided to leave him completely, he would understand. She had her own life, and he would rather not get in the way of it. But even so, to up and leave after they slept together that night did leave a nasty taste in his mouth and a small ache in his heart. He would at least like to have one last conversation with her before she completely left him.
'Unfortunate...'
But at the end of the day, Kratos decided to move on with his life. He would rather not let that ruin his new life. Of course, he would never forget Rosa and what little they had together. However, he won't let it control his life. Not again. So with a grunt and a tug of his bear fish, he continues to walk up to his home, which he could see coming into view in between the trees.
"...?"
However, when Kratos arrived home, he was met with a sight that he would never imagine he would ever see in his new quiet life
"A-A child..."
Kratos went wide-eyed in complete shock, as he looked down at his doorstep and found a basket, though not a basket filled with treats or gifts, but a basket carrying a newborn baby girl with black hair, blue-silver eyes, wrapped in a purple-pink blanket, and, what stood out to him, besides the obvious, was a stuffed Cheshire cat doll, which had a note attached to it. He held the baby tightly in one arm, making sure not to drop her, while with his other hand he read the note.
"Dear Kratos.
I'm sorry for taking advantage of you in this type of manner, any negative feelings towards me is warranted, but I want to let you know now, that I believe you can achieve happiness, I know you can, so please don't give up on yourself to find it, like I have, you'll regret it if you don't try…
Your friend: Rosa.
P.S: Our child is named Cereza, but you have my blessing if you wish to change it, but please keep her safe, and very far away from me, I love too much to make her suffer because of me, promises me, please..."
Once Kratos finished reading the note, he didn't know what to think or feel about this, at one hand, he was relieved to know that Rosa was ok, and hadn't completely abandoned him, however in the other, she has left him with something that shouldn't be taken so lightly, and that something was apparently his own flesh and blood, his daughter, the next feeling he felt was rage, not the same kind of rage he felt when he killed all of the Greek Gods, but he was upset to know that this was kept a secret from him until now, he felt like he had the right to know, and he wished he was there for Rosa during the entire pregnancy, he could've done so much for her, he should've done so much for her, he wished he would have done so much more, he was filled with so much negativity that it threatened to exploded out of him... But it didn't, as finally, his rage was replaced with warmth, as he felt the baby grab onto his beard, which made him looked down at said baby, and when his eyes met the child, his child, she smiled at him, it was a smile that he never thought he would ever experienced again, and it was that simple smile that lead him to his final choice in life
"...I promise, I will keep our daughter safe..."
Kratos, no longer caring about anything else in the world, including the bear fish he dragged all the way back here, as he now put his entire focus on his daughter, holding her tightly, yet gently, as he then brings her back inside of his cabin, a new meaning of life has entered his heart and soul, and he would do everything in his power to make it work, for himself, and most definitely for his daughter, Cereza
"Safe and happy..."
It is kind of hard to make long stories about Kratos, he is too simple with his way of life, he doesn't over think things, he doesn't make life complicated for himself, he is just calm and focused, hopefully having a daughter will change that lol.
(BTW sorry if you're disappointed for the short lived relationship with Rosa, but she is not the main character or focus of this story, she was a fling nothing more, maybe I could add more context in the future since Kratos cares about her, but in the end, she is not important enough to do nothing more with her)
/Story Arc Idea\
Kratos: Basically seeing this as his 2nd chance of not only being a Father, but having a daughter again, he will do anything and everything to keep her safe, unfortunately, this would lead to him not only being very overprotective, but basically smothering and sheltering her from the real world, not even teaching her how to fight, since he will be the only one to fight for her, all because he does not want to risk the pain of losing/abandoning another child.
Bayonetta: It's a mix of wanting to be her own person who can defend herself and not needing her Father to always protect her, and extreme over confidence plus arrogance, due to knowing who she is and the powers she wields, not only does this justify herself that she can defend herself without her Father's coddling, but gives her a sense of invincibility, as she has yet to taste true defeat or even pain before, which might make her a bit egotistical and bratty.
