Part 2

And now we return to the present where I stood in the odd cavern, where a banquet was being held underneath my seculded ledge where I'd been hiding out for the past three days. Below me, giants roared and tossed food at the unwiling bride's face, who's face was hidden behind a veil. Beside her sat the father of the bride, who wore a regal god's attire. And based off the scarred tissue on his face and the stitches scarres onto his lips, it was my 'mother' Loki. Which means the bride was my half sister, not that I cared. My family died with Alex. And so did most of my emotions.

But I quickly tore my mind back to the present, as keeping up a rune spell of concealment strong enough to trick the god of tricksters was a bit more taxing on my mental strength than I'd imagined. But even then, all I need to do was stay focused. I'd done some training with an elf named Hearthstone and learned how to channel nature energy, which I apparently had an affinity for, i to runes to cast spells. And depending on what runes are paired, or even tripled, the effects of a rune spell can be varied. I decided to combine five different runes one day, and while it nearly killed me, I had created a spell of concealment stronger than anything anyone who wasn't a god could do. And even any gods besides Odin would have some trouble pulling it off, much less seeing through it.

I watched intently as a blonde guy ried desperately to deflect the food aimed at the bride's face, but even with him and two others helping it wasn't enough and a lot of it smacked the bride around. 'Poor girl.' I thought to myself, frowning at the giant's treatment of their supposed future queen.

As soon as the largest giant in the room, the obvious 'king' or whatever they called their leader, stood up and began announcing a bunch of crap about a treaty and ending the war before it began, I made my move and began to slowly crawl my way around the banquet room's hidden ledge high above the floor. I wished my concealment spell would hold well enough that I could've dropped a huge boulder on some of their heads, but it would be destroyed as soon as I did something that interacted with a person, such as dropping a boulder on their head. A bummer, to be honest. I'd have to try to combine some more runes later and create one that it so powerful that I could cause chaos discreetly.

I slowly took my position just above the entrance to the banquet hall, which was generous considering this was Loki's torture cave that stunk with the stench of acid. 'As soon as I undo the spell, they'll be on my ass. And as soon as that heppens, I'll need to be ready to defend myself. I need to last long enough for Thor to find me, which won't be too long...I hope...' I grimaced as I prepared to jump.

Loki stood up, raising his hands to calm the roar of the banquet hall. He chuckled, saying in his loathable silver-tongued voice, "As tha day of my daughter's wedding, I shouldn't need to ask. But to be proper I will ask, does anyone object to the marriage?" He laughed, looking at the people who were defending the bride, as if to dare them to speak up.

'NOW!!' I deactivated my spell and landed on the ground with my polearm unsheathed and in the ready form of a scythe blade attached to a extremely long serrated chain.

The attention of the entire room turned to me in utter shock as I said loudly, "I object to the marriage. Give me the damned hammer!"

Everyone was frozen in shock for a heartbeat, then the King yelled, "KILL THE BRAT!!"

I smirked, though no one saw it behind the mask. "Come at me. If you can walk to me." I waited until all the giants had stood, then I quickly snatched my scythe foward, tightening the serrated wire on the other end of my polearm that I'd placed long before the banquet began to this moment.

With a sickening slash over half the giants fell, sliced to ribbons and blood splattering all over the place.

"Take another step foward and I'll blow this place sky high." I bluffed, hoping they'd believe it as they just witnessed me turn their comrades into party confetti and tomato soup.

A small rune in my pocket buzzed, ever so lightly at first, then it began to buzz harder and harder. That meant someone had zeroed in on my location and was currently finding a way in.

I grinend like a madman, "Calvary is one the way." I whispered in a low voice. Then I returned to being loud, "Give me the hammer and I'll spare everyone in this room!"

The god of trickery chuckled, a reassured look on his face. "A bluff. You thought your weak bluff could fool the god of trickery, boy?" Loki chuckled, sitting back down and beginning to eat his meal, "Hurry up and kill him, he's annoying." He ordered the giants.

The giants soon realized my bluff and charged, suddenly wielding clubs, makeshift swords, and even spears. I hadn't seen those anywhere, so I assumed they had concealed weaponry.

"Fine then, I'll take the hammer the hard way." I spun my scythe, retracting the loose end back into place. "Let's dance."

A giant roared, beating his massive, ugly, scarred, and tattooed chest. Then he charged at me swinging his club.

I leap into the air, boosted by the armor's enchantments. I extended the scythe's chains, and using then like a whip, severed the head of the giant beaneath me and slicing another clean in half.

I retracted the chains just in time to block a well-placed spear throw, which sent me flying backwards. But my agility had also been boosted by the armor, so I flipped in mid-air and landed perfectly on the wall. I used the impact and momentum and redirected it, sending myself flying at the giant who threw the spear. I immediately shifted the form of one end of Misjudgement and embedded a spearhead into the giant's skull, killing the big brute instantly. I kicked off the giant, barely brushing past the crude sword of another giant who tried to use the opportunity.

With a quick flick of my wrist, I used the chain on the front end of Misjudgement to sever the giant's skull from it's body.

I landed perfectly in the ground in the center of the room, bowing to the bride and husband never-to-be. But as soon as my attention was drawn to a odd green hair sticking out of the bride's headdress unkemptly, a object smashed into my face, sending me flying into a wall on the opposite side of the banquet hall.

Half of my mask shattered on impact, leaving my right eye covered and able to see in the dark while my left eye strained to see in the dark room. But luckily for me, my eye adjusted to the dim light to see myself get smashed back into the center of the room. I flipped around a few time until I landed on my feet, coughing up blood and ruining the inside of my mask.

Loki stood there holding a mace in his hand, fragments of my armored mask embedded into it's steel head. "My my my. Isn't that a surprise. I would let you talk to the bride, but you killed three-quarters of our guests, so I'm angry." Loki grimaced as he looked my dead in the eyes, "Nice to see you again,"

I felt panicked as I knew what comes next, so I tried to attack to distract him. But I recieved a dagger shoved through my stomach from nowhere. I spat out blood as Loki ripped the dagger out and repeated the process over and over again, ending the process by grabbing me by the throat and holding me high into the air.

" As I was saying, it's quite a family reunion. Eh, Airen?"
