Hello everyone I'm back once again to bring you another chapter of my brother's story; I'm so glad I let my brother make this story, I look forward to when he sends me stuff. Now with nothing else to say let's begin.
Stitched Kitsune: Chapter 18
Land of Snow (3 and a half months later); Near Naruto's cabin: With Hinata
Hinata was hanging upside down from a tree using the tree walking exercise; as she did so she lifted her left sleeve and revealed a wrist band that had a seal on it. Hinata tapped it and with a puff of smoke revealed a compound bow; it was a lightweight bow made of aluminum and carbon fiber with a black paint job that doesn't reflect sunlight.
Hinata touched a seal on the side and a single carbon fiber arrow with a pointed field tip appeared; Hinata placed the arrow into the arrow rest and placed the nock onto the string and pulled back using a release that was attached to her right wrist. Hinata looked through the small peep sight on her bow string and saw the 4 brightly highlighted notches verifying various ranges.
Hinata activated her Byakugan and scanned for her target which was 100 yards out; Hinata adjusted the angle she was holding the bow at and took in a deep breath. Hinata pressed the trigger on her release and let her arrow fly; the arrow sailed through the air for 3 seconds before finding its target.
Hinata's arrow pierced through the left knee of the human sized target and Hinata nodded to herself "hit" she said to no one; she deactivated her Byakugan and jumped down.
"Still not going for kill shots" came the voice of Haku; Hinata looked behind her and saw Haku coming out of an ice mirror "good for you" Haku said with a smile. Hinata smiled and nodded.
"Despite my circumstances I will not kill needlessly" Hinata said and Haku nodded in understanding "thank you Haku; I appreciate your help and support" she said.
"I only showed you the basics of archery; the rest was all you" Haku said modestly; over the past few months Haku and Sasori have been helping Hinata train for her upcoming mission with Naruto and Haku. Since Hinata could not use her original fighting style she had to relearn everything from the ground up; and so far, she has made good progress.
Haku has been training her on taijustu, archery and basic ninjutsu while Sasori has been training her on weapons, traps and poisons; Sasori even went as far to make Hinata her compound bow and several different kinds of arrows.
"But still; considering it's this or the…alternative… I think you made the right choice" Haku said and Hinata flinched at this; Hinata has gotten along with almost everybody except Kakuzu, Zabuza and Doto for obvious reasons.
Hinata sees all 3 men as the epitome of evil with good reason as one is a ruthless bounty hunter, a psychopathic swordsman and a dictator; she has spoken to Doto once, Zabuza rarely and to Kakuzu only for him to ensure Hinata will not run away.
"I would use the term 'right choice' very loosely" Hinata said; as she said that both Haku and Hinata felt a presence coming and looked over and say Karin's little sister Toka.
"Hina, Haku" Toka shouted as she ran up "daddy wants to see you" Toka said running as fast as her little legs could go; Hinata put up her bow and scooped up Toka.
"Hello Toka; nice to see you, where's your mom" Hinata asked.
"Toka… honey" Mie said running up out of breath "don't run to fast… mommy's not a ninja" she said as she stopped and began to pant.
"Mie; how are you" Haku said as she took out a canteen and gave it to Mie who began to drink the water "what does lord Sasori need from us" she asked.
"Naruto Sasori, Kakuzu, Doto, Roga, Zabuza and Gato are all waiting back at Naruto's cabin" Mie said "something about 'it almost being time'; I guess for another job" she said and both Hinata and Haku nodded.
"We should go" Hinata said "Haku if you could" she asked and Haku nodded.
"Of course; Mie grab on" Haku said as Haku and Mie both grabbed on to Haku's shoulders; Haku and the others then disappeared in a swirl of ice.
Naruto's Cabin: 1 hour later
"So, it's settled" Kakuzu said looking at Naruto, Haku and Hinata; all 3 were wearing snow country uniforms and headbands "you 3 will travel to rice country with Roga and get the mission briefing from the client; once you get briefed you will head to Konoha where you will check into the hotel room owned by Gato's corporation" he said looking over at Gato.
"I hope it's to your liking" Gato said "and remember our deal Kakuzu" he said and Kakuzu nodded.
"Yes; 3 missions for free done by me, Sasori, Zabuza, Fu and Karin while these 3 are gone" Kakuzu said and Gato nodded with a smirk.
"I made out like a bandit this time" Gato said.
"Also" Doto said as he took out 3 scrolls and tossed them to Naruto, Hinata and Haku "I took the liberty of looking over the rules of the chunin exams; I modified our nations chakra armor in order to abide by the rules" he said. "Those 3 armors were specifically made for you 3" Doto said "even though you are not really my ninja; you are still representing my country and I will not lose face" he said.
"But isn't this cheating" Hinata said and Zabuza laughed.
"If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying" Zabuza said making Naruto, Hinata and Haku sweat drop.
"Get ready to embark to the land of rice in 3 days" Roga said "our ship leaves at noon" he said.
"Alright then" Naruto said as he pocketed the scroll "well might as well have fun for the rest of the time we are here" he said. "Hey girls how about we get Fu, Karin, Fubuki and Toka and go to the movies" Naruto said to Hinata and Haku "there's that new movie about that giant lizard that fights that giant moth thing" he said and both Haku and Hinata nodded.
"That sounds fun" Hinata said.
"You 2 can go; I'll catch up" Haku said and both Naruto and Hinata nodded.
"Ok; we'll be at Mie's place" Naruto said as he and Hinata walked out; one they did Zabuza looked at Haku.
"What is it Haku" Zabuza said "you only do this when you have something to say" he said and Haku sighed.
"It's Naruto" Haku said gaining all their attentions "he has a side mission when we go to Konoha" she said.
*Flashback: 2 days ago
Naruto was staring at his coffee as Haku was washing dishes from that morning's breakfast "Naruto are you ok" Haku asked as she turned off the faucet and walked over "Naruto" she said and Naruto looked at her.
"We're going to Konoha Haku" Naruto said "this may be my only chance" he said and Haku sat next to him.
"Only chance for what" Haku said and Naruto looked her in the eyes.
"When we are there; I'm going to find out who my parents are" Naruto said making Haku go wide eyed "I know it's stupid or foolish, but… I just have to know" he said. "I want to know their names, who they were… you know… for closure" Naruto said and Haku nodded.
"Tell you what" Haku said grabbing his hand "when we get there; we'll look around, ok" she said and Naruto nodded with a small smile; Naruto leaned in and kissed Haku who returned it before breaking apart.
"Thanks, Haku" Naruto said "I knew that you'd support me" he said.
*Flashback end
"So yeah; he as a side mission" Haku said.
"Ha, closure; that's so fucking gay" Zabuza laughed and Haku's jaw dropped.
"That boy has no sense of priorities" Kakuzu said shaking his head "I keep telling him job first, family second, feeling non-existent" he said and Haku was appalled.
"Hey don't say that" Sasori said "you have to realize Naruto's point of view about family; he never had a father or- "he began until Gato spoke up.
"So, what" Gato said leaning back "I never had a family" he said.
Gato Flashback: Kiri port city
An 8-year-old Gato wearing tatter cloths and a flat cap was standing on a pier with 3 men wearing nice suits looking down in the water; in the water there was his mother and father with concrete blocks on their feet struggling for air as they drowned.
"This is what happens when you don't pay back what you owe" one man said "c'mon kid; you have a new family now" he said as he led a crying Gato away.
Gato Flashback end
"And I turned out perfectly fine" Gato said "now I wear the nice suits" he said.
"Ok what the hell" Sasori said in horror.
"And I didn't have a family either and I turned out great" Doto said gaining his attention.
Doto Flashback: Kazehana castle bedroom
A 16-year-old Doto was beating to death the assassin who killed his mother and father as his younger brother Sosetsu cried over their bloody corpses on the bed.
"You bastard; I'll kill you" Doto shouted as he began to cave the assassin's head in.
Doto Flashback ends
"Turns out my brother hired the assassin" Doto said "something about 'ending our father's tyranny' or some nonsense; your father commits one genocide and he's a monster, but murdering him in cold blood makes you a hero" he said with a scoff. "I'm glad I killed my brother" Doto said.
"Holy fucking shit" Roga said as he, Sasori and Haku were all looking at him in disbelief when Kakuzu spoke up.
"I only had my father" Kakuzu said "and I hate him with all 5 of my hearts" he said with disdain.
Kakuzu Flashback: Taki (the day of Kakuzu's banishment)
A 21-year-old Kakuzu was standing in the door way of his home when he looked back and saw his father; his father was drunks sipping sake out of the bottle as he looked at Kakuzu.
"Get out of my house" Kakuzu's father said drunkenly with anger in his voice "you belong in a fucking garbage can" he said.
Both Kakuzu and his father glared at each other in disdain and malice; Kakuzu didn't say a word as he turned around and walked out with only the cloths on his back.
Kakuzu Flashback ends
"It's funny; I don't think I even knew his name" Kakuzu said "and I'm proud that I don't know it" he said and Sasori slapped his forehead in frustration.
"Ok I get it; you all had shitty families but- "Sasori began before being interrupted.
"I didn't" Zabuza said speaking up gaining everyone's attention "I fucking loved my parents" he said.
Zabuza Flashback: Kiri (the graduation exam day)
A young 12-year-old Zabuza was walking home with his parents after he just got done with his graduation exam.
"Yeah, that's my boy" Zabuza's dad said ruffling Zabuza's hair as they walked home "my son killed over 100 students and wasn't even qualified to become a ninja yet" he shouted walking down the streets.
"Oh, I'm going to make you a cake when we get home" Zabuza's mom said giving him a kiss on the cheek "I'm so proud of you my little man" she said.
"Really; thanks mom" Zabuza said happily; as they continued to walk home, they saw the parents of the fallen students running past them to the academy.
"Have fun picking your kids up" Zabuza's dad said.
"Or what's left of them" Zabuza's mom said.
All 3 of the Momochi family laughed as they walked home from the carnage Zabuza caused.
Zabuza Flashback ends
"My parents were fucking awesome" Zabuza said; the room was stunned into silence from hearing Zabuza's story until Haku spoke up.
"Just be nice to Naruto" Haku said as she walked out slamming the door behind her.
"What the fuck is the matter with you 4" Sasori shouted and Kakuzu, Gato, Zabuza and Doto shrugged.
"I never thought I'd be glad I wan an orphan" Roga said as he shook his head.
3 Days later: Snow country port
Naruto hugged Fu, Karin and Fubuki as he got ready to leave with Hinata, Haku and Roga "Don't worry girls; I'll be back before you know it" Naruto said as they broke the hug.
"Promise you'll be safe" Fu asked slightly worried and Naruto nodded.
"Of course," Naruto said with a smile.
"Watch out for Hinata and Haku ok" Karin said.
"I will Karin" Naruto said assuring her.
"You better make it to the finals" Fubuki said "I have a bet going on with Mizore; he said you'd fail the second exam" she said and Naruto snapped towards Mizore.
"Get ready to lose that money buddy" Naruto said to Mizore "because I'm gonna win this thing no problem" he said and Mizore chuckled.
"Sure kid; whatever helps you sleep at night" Mizore said.
Hinata was saying goodbye to Mie and Toka "I'll see you both when I get back" Hinata said and both Mie and Toka smiled.
"I wish you the best of luck" Mie said; over the past few months Mie and Hinata had grown close. Hinata sees Mie as a surrogate mother since she lost hers at a young age.
"Bye big sis Hina" Toka said reaching out and giving Hinata another hug and a kiss on the cheek; this made Hinata smile but also feel bad. Toka reminded Hinata of Hanabi before she was brainwashed by the clan into becoming arrogant to outsiders and spiteful towards Hinata "I'll miss you" she said.
"I'll miss you too Ha- Toka" Hinata said correcting herself; Mie heard it and felt bad for Hinata as she told her about her sister Hanabi.
"Good luck Haku" Zabuza said to Haku who bowed.
"Thank you, lord Zabuza," Haku said before standing straight up.
"Ok let's get going" Roga said as he, Naruto, Hinata and Haku all walked towards the ship.
As Naruto walked away, he felt a hand touch his shoulder; he turned and saw Kakuzu there looking down at him "if you fail, I'll skin you again and sew you back up again" Kakuzu said menacingly and Naruto scoffed.
"Yeah, screw you to" Naruto said pulled his shoulder away and he began to walk to the ship.
"But I know you'll succeed" Kakuzu said as he began to walk away.
Naruto smiled under his mask 'old bastard' Naruto thought as he climbed up the walkway to board the ship bound for Rice country.
Rice country (Otogakure) 3 days later: Secret underground chamber
Naruto, Hinata, Haku and Roga all had the bags covering their heads pulled off as the light from the candles made their eyes hurt; they scanned around the room and saw no furniture of any kind, just candles which barely lit up the room. The 4 man team of sound ninja took a few steps back standing near the exit; Naruto began to feel uneasy and was about to speak until a voice spoke up.
"So, this is the team Doto sent" came a voice that sent chills down Naruto and his team's spines; as their eyes adjusted a figure came out of the shadows of the chamber. He was a pale man with long black hair, snake like eyes and a mouth with a malicious smile. "I must say I'm surprised" he said.
"Lord Orochimaru" Roga said and Hinata froze.
"Orochimaru; the legendary sanin" Hinata said "the one who went rogue from Konoha" she said and Orochimaru chuckled.
"Oh, so you know who I am" Orochimaru said looking at Hinata who began to shake from his stare "well I must say it's a pleasure to meet you… Hinata Hyuga" he said making her go wide eyed. "Oh yes I know who you are; you're in the Konoha M.I.A (missing in action) book" Orochimaru said as he walked up close to her. "Hinata Hyuga, age 13, height 4'10", currently missing from Konoha, presumed alive" Orochimaru said "you really should wear colored contacts my dear; your eyes are a dead giveaway" he said smiling wider.
Hinata began to tremble until she felt a hand on her shoulder; Naruto moved her back on got in between her and Orochimaru "don't" Naruto said scowling behind his mask and Orochimaru chuckled.
"Oh no need to be so hostile… Naruto Uzumaki" Orochimaru said making Naruto and the others go wide eyed "yes I know who you are; ever since that little battle in Snow country a few years ago" he said making Naruto freeze. "Please remove your mask" Orochimaru asked with a smile.
Naruto gulped as he reached up and pulled off his mask revealing his stitches; across the room a redhaired girl wearing a hat and carrying a flute looked on with slight unease.
'Fucking hell; what happened to him' Tayuya thought to herself 'blondie must've pissed off the wrong fucking guy' she thought looking at Naruto.
"My, my; look at what they did to you" Orochimaru said scanning Naruto's features "oh the fools of the village; torturing you for what you hold, like torturing a rape victim who is pregnant with her rapist's baby" he said making Naruto gulp.
"You know about the Fox" Naruto asked and Orochimaru nodded.
"I do" Orochimaru said "just to be clear I do not care about it; and I do not see you as a monster" he said putting his hand on Naruto's shoulder. "We are a lot alike; you and me" Orochimaru said with a smile; Naruto slapped his hand away and as soon as he did that the 4-sound ninja began to charge but Orochimaru glared at them " " he said evenly but enough to scare them.
Tayuya and the other walked back as they looked on at the conversation.
"We are nothing alike" Naruto said and Orochimaru chuckled.
"Oh, but we are; we were both betrayed by the same man" Orochimaru said "oh what we could accomplish together" he said as he began to walk back a few steps. "But that is for another time" Orochimaru said as he "all I need for you now is to assist me with the beginning stage of my plan" he said.
"And how do we do that" Haku said speaking up for the first time.
"Simple; pass the first phase of the chunin exams" Orochimaru said making Naruto and Haku suspicious "I cannot tell you my whole plan; I will instruct you as you go along, but all I need from you right now is to participate" he said.
"Very well then" Roga said stepping forward "shall we discuss matters ourselves" he asked and Orochimaru nodded.
"But of course," Orochimaru said "Tayuya, take Naruto and the ladies to an empty barracks room; and have my disguise scroll and kits ready" he said making Naruto curious. "I believe I can help you conceal your identity with something better than a mask Naruto" Orochimaru said and Naruto scowled.
"Gee thanks" Naruto said.
"Ok you 3, follow me and don't lag behind" Tayuya said "I don't want a fucking manhunt looking for your sorry asses if you get lost" she said.
'Such vulgar language' Haku thought as she, Naruto and Hinata followed Tayuya.
As Naruto, Hinata and Haku followed Tayuya, Naruto heard a familiar voice "the time is nearing boy" the Kyuubi said "Remember our deal" he said and Naruto frowned.
'I know' Naruto said as he heard the Kyuubi chuckle 'I have a bad feeling about this' Naruto thought.
