The city of Whiterun, populated at least 6-7,500 people living inside this city and outside of it. It is the third largest, populated city in Skyrim today. This place holds the biggest farmlands than the rest of the places in Skyrim and has the fame and reputation of the Companions. Aegon was left amazed at the sight of Whiterun as he walks with Lydia on the road that would lead them to the front entrance of the city.
Lydia notices Aegon taking off his helmet and looking completely surprise at the sight of Whiterun as they continue walking on the road to get the view from the side of it. Lydia says to him "What's wrong? You look as if this is your first time seeing this."
"This place looks amazing." Aegon replies and looks back to Lydia for a moment and then looks in front of her to see two male Orcs approaching them.
The Orcs in Skyrim are much different than before because Aegon downloaded a mod to change the race into the ones in Azeroth. These Orcs are six to seven feet tall with strong muscular physique and always love to fight wherever they go. Both wore leather clothing on the lower part and wear armour plating that covers only some parts of their bodies and leave the rest expose. Both are carrying axes from their kind and are much bigger and wider than the original counterpart.
"You there! You're Dragonborn." One of them replies and stops in front of Lydia and Aegon.
"Who wants to know?" Aegon looks to them and thought to themselves "Wow, they really look intimidating."
"We've long been waiting for a good death. You are consider the strongest, so we challenge you to a duel, Dragonborn."
"Are you serious? I'm not going to kill you."
"We've already dishonoured our clan, so in order to redeem ourselves, we must fight until the strongest opponent faces us and defeats us in an honourable battle. You will face the both of us."
"You're not fighting him alone." Lydia replies while readying her spear and shield in a defensive stance, while both Orcs begin the ready to fight with their axes ready for a swing.
"Oh shit… My first fight…" Aegon replies while quickly putting on his helmet and drawing his sword. He asks himself "How the hell am I going to do this? Should I… Shout?"
The first Orc attacks Lydia by swinging his axe and hitting her shield hard enough to force her back. She attempts to swing her spear as soon as he tries grabbing onto the top of her shield to throw it away from her, but he quickly moves his body to have the spear hit against his shoulder plate. The other one moves around them and approaches Aegon, while he starts taking a few steps back as feeling nervous at the thought of fighting for the first time against a strong and intimidating opponent. In the end, he decide to go for it by saying the famous line out loud.
"Fus Ro Dah!"
.
.
.
Nothing happened.
The Orc was confuse and shouts back to him "Lok'tar ogar!" And starts swinging his axe at Aegon, forcing him to quickly defend himself
"What's going on?" Aegon asks himself while still trying to avoid the attacks. "Why can't I –" But then he stops when he remembers that tragic moment inside that dungeon at the hands of Maverick. Since he was more fixated on the pain and close of death, he forgot what Maverick was really doing to him and what he said to him before passing out.
"I thank you for your cooperation. Thanks to you, I am Dragonborn."
". . . ."
Thinking about that moment gave his opponent a blind opportunity to strike by hitting him across the face and knocking him down to the floor. His helmet was halfway off his face and made him push the helmet off his face to see the full view of the Orc approaching him with the urge to swing his axe down at him with both hands on the handle.
Lydia manage to ram the spear through the right thigh of her opponent and looks back to see Aegon in trouble. "Aegon!" She cries out while looking worried for him. Before she could defend him, she looks back at her opponent and quickly protects her face with her shield against an incoming attack from above.
Aegon rolls out of the way to avoid the swing, quickly getting back up and holds onto his sword with both hands. He stands ready to fight back by swinging his sword forward to clash against the incoming swing from the axe. Somehow, he was left surprise to find out his swing was strong enough to push the axe back and force the Orc back. He quickly swings again and manage to spill blood by targeting the hands and cutting off four fingers. The Orc drops his weapon and cries out in pain over the loss of his fingers. And with no hesitation, Aegon rushes forward and rams the sword into his expose chest and pulls the sword out of him a second later. He watches his opponent collapses backwards onto the grass and left bleeding out and dying in front of him. This surprises him as this was an instinct that made him want to drive the sword through him, despite the Orc losing his weapon and was at the mercy of him.
Meanwhile, Lydia was almost done with her opponent by stabbing her spear into the chest. The Orc would grab the base of the spear to pull it out of him, but Lydia quickly pierces him again by ramming it through his neck and pulls it out again to spill his blood down his body. The Orc ends up collapsing on the floor while holding onto his neck, eventually dying from the loss of blood and the struggling to breathe.
"I killed him…" Aegon mutters while looking down at the dead Orc in front of him. He asks himself "Why don't I feel anything over this?"
"Dragonborn." Lydia approaches him "Are you alright?"
Aegon looks back to her and replies "Yeah, I'll be alright." He looks back down to his helmet and drops down to pick it up
"Got me worried there. I didn't think a single opponent could bring you down to the floor. What happened back there?"
Aegon wipes the mud off his helmet and looks back to Lydia "I remember what happened. I remember what that man did to me inside that dungeon."
"What did he do?"
"You should probably stop calling me Dragonborn…" Aegon puts on the helmet and continues "Because I'm no longer Dragonborn. He is."
"W-What?"
"What's the meaning of this?" A voice calls out to them and they both look back to find two guards approaching the scene.
Lydia turns around to face them and responds first "They challenged us and attacked us. We were just defending ourselves."
"Oh, it's you, housecarl and Dragonborn. Are you two alright?"
"Yeah." Aegon replies and stands next to Lydia "We'll be alright."
Aegon and Lydia made their way inside the city of Whiterun. Aegon was still amazed to see so many people as the city was incredibly huge with so many houses for thousands of people. But as much as he wish to wonder the city to explore it, he wishes to take a break from all that walking and take a breather for today and review everything that has happen today. Both of them make their way to Breezehome, which is still closest to the entrance and had to walk past two houses just to reach it. The first house was of course Warmaiden, which is a shop for weapons and armour, and he would find Adrianne Avenicci at the smithing area on working on a new weapon she is crafting and getting to work on creating the handle for it. The second house next to Warmaiden was unknown, but the house of Breezehome looks like a mansion.
The interior of Breezehome was changed thanks to a mod he found. He manage to change the furnishing and use the designs that was meant for a high rich person like himself. The fire pit in the middle was completely gone and the cooking oven was put on the top right corner of the room. In front of the cooking oven was the table against the side of the wall and leaving a few chairs to have four people. The one room on the left corner and the second one upstairs was redone to make it big enough for more furnishing and was use for Lydia as her bedroom. The one above is Lydia's bedroom and the one below is meant to be an apothecary room, but since Aegon never uses it, it was redone for an enchantment room with books and soul gems hanging on shelves. Finally the bedroom was also redone with adding better bed and has some extra furnishing like a nearby mannequin in the corner of the room and a larger chest on the other side of the bed.
"Hmmm this is nice." Aegon replies while taking off his helmet and looking around the room. He looks forward to see a female Redguard approaching him, wearing a standard Nordic clothing and has short brown hair.
"Welcome, Dragonborn." The woman bows to him "I've taken care of the house for you, as well as having fresh food available for you when you return."
"Thank you." Aegon says to her then thinks to himself "I can't remember her name…" He then replies to her "I appreciate what you've done for this house. You should take a break and call it a day."
"That's what I was planning on doing. I'll come by in a few days. Good day, Dragonborn." She takes her leave from his house and returns home.
Aegon walks over to the table and places his helmet down and gauntlets onto the table to get a look at the meal on the table. He picks up the bread and eats it, while Lydia sits beside him and has lunch beside him.
After this good meal, Aegon makes his way upstairs to his bedroom, closed the door behind him and starts removing his armour to leave only his leather clothing. He keeps the whole set on his mannequin and leaves Ashbringer against the side of his chest. When he is done, he sits down on the side of the bed, leaning his arms against his thighs and looking down at the floor to begin his review of the whole situation of this world.
"Okay… So I'm Skyrim, which is pretty obvious you idiot… And I'm playing my character Aegon. I'm a high level warrior and no longer have Dragonborn powers. I guess it's for the best because the only shout I know is the force push. I thought being sent into this world would make it into a video game, but I guess I'm wrong about that. This world is completely different. And Maverick is another created character I made, so if he's here then…."
Aegon's eyes widen with shock to discover that maybe all of his characters he made in Skyrim are in this world. He panics when getting up off the bed and replies out loud "Oh my god… I created Sauron… Don't tell me he's here too."
Aegon sighs deeply and collapses back on the bed. He lays his chest against the bed, placed his arms under the pillow and pressing his face against the pillow for a few seconds until he had to turn his head to the side.
"This is so much for me… How am I even supposed to finish this game and leave when I've already defeated Alduin? Is there even an endgame for me? Wait… Do I even want to leave this world? I feel like the responsibilities are going to overwhelm me… What do I do?"
In the end, Aegon fell asleep and would remain like that until he would be awoken up by Lydia at 10:30 AM.
Meanwhile, somewhere else, Maverick was testing his powers of these shouts, all thanks to a mod from Aegon. He manage to cheat by using a mod that gives him a book to allow him to unlock every single shout all across Skyrim, but he still needs to require the souls of dragons in order to use them. However, in this world, the book was redone and contains every single shout in the book. Maverick got the book when entering one of Aegon's built houses and stole it, as well as other treasures while he was there. Thanks to Maverick's incredible use of magic, he manage to easily understand every single shout, but he too requires a large amount of souls in order to use every single one of them.
Maverick put his power to the test when challenging a powerful dragon on a mountain. He used the sprint to get there, used ethereal to protect himself from icy cold breath from the dragon, forced the dragon to descend down to fight him directly and finishes the dragon off by using his destructive power to kill it. He also allow Zarya to deliver the final blow by making her rush in to plunge her weapon through the eye of the dragon to finally kill it. After killing the dragon, its skin starts to burn away to leave only the bones and cause its soul to leave its body to go inside of Maverick.
"Impressive… Truly impressive." Maverick replies while walking towards Zarya "My level of magic is nothing compare to the power of a single shout. I understand why the Dragonborn was so powerful and indestructible that not a single foe could kill him."
"What will do now, master?" Zarya asks with a calm expression on her face
Maverick looks behind her and starts walking away from her. He walks to the edge of the cliff to look at the beautiful view of Skyrim. She looks back to him and remains close to him to listen to what he says next.
"There's a new change coming to Skyrim. The war is over, but a new chapter begins. My chapter. I am Dragonborn. I'm going to change so much in this world. I think it's high time I pay a visit to those wizards."
At 11:00 AM, Aegon left home with Lydia and wonders around the city. This was his chance to go outside and enjoy the walk across the city of Whiterun from what it originally is. He wore his armour outside and keeps his surprising expressions under the helmet to avoid any confusion from the people as if this was the first time coming here. This place was incredible with so many people already getting to work and walking around. While the population is mostly Nords, he was surprise to find all kinds of races and even Azeroth species such as the Night Elves and Draenei. There was also signs of adventurers and mercenaries of all different kinds of armour and equipment. Skyrim is exactly what it is supposed to look like if it was all realistic.
"This place is incredible. I bet so many people would've loved to see something like this." Aegon thought to himself while walking straight towards the market district to find it much bigger in size.
It was just like any other day in the market in Whiterun, except this place is much bigger than before. He decides to walk through and make his way into the interior of the tavern, called Bannered Mare. Inside was still the same, except this place was big enough to have several bedrooms for anyone that wishes to rest for a day. He would hear the bard singing the tale of the Dragonborn, noticed the Redguard woman delivering food and drinks to some customers sitting by the indoor fireplace or around a table. He also spots two guards sitting by the table and talking to another man, wearing Dawnguard armour and mentions about him being a guard in Riften.
Aegon remembers another follower that should be here drinking in the corner, and that is Uthgerd the Unbroken. Sadly, she died in this place due to a bug that made her suddenly draw her weapon and attack during the brawl that if you beat her then she will become your follower. The brawl always ends up violence where she always draws her weapon and attack, causes Aegon and his followers to fight back and causing a huge mess in the tavern. After a few attempts of reloading the game and trying different methods of preventing this, Uthgerd continues to become a problem, so he chose to let her die and use her house as compensation for attacking him. Right now, since things have become realistic, he wonders what has become of her house and what people would think of him now that he killed someone in this tavern.
As soon as Saadia was done handling with the food and drink deliveries, she looks to the door to see Aegon entering the room and comes towards him straight away. She replies "Hey there, good to see you again."
"Hello, Saadia."
"Is there anything I can get you? Something on the menu… Or something else you desire?"
". W-What? I mean…" Aegon groans to try to clear his throat and replies normally to her "I like a good drink of mead right now."
"Of course. I'll get you one right away." Saadia looks to Lydia to see if she would like a drink too, which she does and she returns back to the counter to bring two bottles of mead to the two.
"For a moment there I thought she was asking something naughty." Aegon thought to himself and take off his helmet
"Ah, the Dragonborn has arrived!" The bard singing inside the tavern replies as soon as he recognise Aegon the moment he took off his helmet "The destroyer of Deathwing and saviour of Skyrim!"
Everyone in the room raise their mugs as a toast of celebration towards Aegon for defeating Alduin long ago. Of course, Aegon was a little confuse while making his way to the counter to fetch those two drinks from Saadia.
"Deathwing… Doesn't he mean the destroyer of Alduin?" Aegon asks and looks to Lydia
"Alduin? Who's that?" Lydia asks him
Aegon raises an eyebrow with confusion and responds "Y-You - . . . . . You're kidding, right? That black dragon that attacked Helgen."
"Oh? I thought his name was Deathwing. You told me about him."
". . . . ."
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah…" Aegon looks forward and grabs a bottle of mead. He thought to himself before drinking "So making Alduin into Deathwing really made him into Deathwing. I guess that also explains why everyone is acting so natural around the new species I added in Skyrim…. Hmmmm, this mead actually taste pretty good."
"Dragonborn, you haven't been yourself lately." Lydia says to him "Maybe we should go to the temple and have you get healed properly. That health potion I gave you inside that cave could've taken an effect on you."
"You think so?"
"It was given to me by the enemy that captured you. I'm just looking out for your wellbeing."
'Hmmmm." Aegon faces forward and keeps drinking while thinking to himself "She's getting suspicious. I can't just tell her that all of this is new because this is not a video game anymore. This is my first experience through this world. I'll have to try to stay in character if I can."
"Yeah, maybe you're right." Aegon replies. After her finish his mead, he looks to the innkeeper and thought of something. "I wonder what else has changed." Then asks the woman "Say, have there been some rumours lately around the guilds? The Companions, Dark Brotherhood or the Thieves' Guild?"
"Well, there hasn't been much about the Dark Brotherhood, after they've been wiped out. The Thieves' Guild is getting much worse than before, thanks to their new leader of the guild. The Companions are recruiting more members, after Kodlak passed away and named someone else the Harbinger."
"Thank you." Aegon replies and thinks to himself "So either each guild has their own leader, or I'm still in control over them. Guess I'll have to look into it later."
After that, he looks to Lydia and agrees to go see a healer inside the temple in Whiterun. He walks up the next steps to the higher level in Whiterun while keeping his helmet off and holding onto it with his right hand.
As they made it up the stairs to the wind district in Whiterun, they notice a commotion happening at the top in front of the large tree. A large crowd was surrounding the tree when listening to a single person acting as a preacher to deliver a message to the citizens and using this as a means of recruiting people into their order. Aegon was unable to see who was speaking out, but he asks one of them if they could give them any information on what is going on.
"They said they're from the Scarlet Crusaders." The woman says to Aegon "Some woman cured the sickness inside the temple and is now starting talking about her gifts and how she wishes for us to join her order."
"The Scarlet Crusaders…" Aegon mutters the name and tries looking over their heads to get a look at it. He would take off his helmet to see if he could get a better view, while trying to listen to the woman's voice. "That voice… It can't be…" He recognises the voice and starts moving around the outside of the crowd to try to get another angle.
Aegon discovers the woman standing by the tree and being guarded by two men is Sally Whitemane. She is the inquisitor and leader of the Scarlet Crusaders. She came here to help inside the temple and to also recruit people inside Whiterun to join her. Thankfully, Aegon manage to arrive just when she was almost done with her speech.
"Join our Crusade! We shall dispatch our foes with the blaze of golden light! We will have your answer when we depart from this city. And remember to not to submit to the darkness and never stray from the path of light." After that, Sally was done and she turns to the right to try to walk through the crowd with both her bodyguards to help her from escorting her out.
"Holy shit… I completely forgot about this…" Aegon mutters to himself while turning his head away and left frighten at this new thought.
"What's wrong?" Lydia asks him
Aegon looks back to Sally and replies "I've got three wives…."
That's right, he found a mod to allow him to get more than one wife and chooses three women from the Warcraft universe to make them into his wives. Who they are right now will be a mystery for the time being, so now Aegon must deal with his first wife.
The moment her eyes made contact with Aegon, she looks at him with surprise to see him, then her expression change to happiness to see him safe and in front of her. She moves her staff to the side to allow one of her bodyguards to take it from her, and also taking off her headgear to lend it to the other bodyguard. She comes approaching Aegon to greet him with open arms.
"Darling!"
"S-Sally." Aegon replies looking surprise at this sudden hug and hugs her back. But what surprises him the most is when she moves her head back and gives him a surprise kiss. His eyes widen at this kiss as this was probably the first time a woman actually gave him a kiss. This made him drop his helmet on the floor and cause Lydia to come over to pick it up.
Sally kisses him for several seconds until she finally leans back to give him a breather. "Aegon, you alright?" She asks when noticing his surprising look on his face and left his mouth still open.
Aegon swallows first and responds "That… Was breathtaking."
Sally smiles and hugs him again "Hmmm it's been so long since I held onto you. Next time, we should do this again without you wearing any armour."
"R-Really?" Hearing those words made Aegon blush and felt exciting hearing that.
"Unfortunately, I cannot stay here for much longer." Sally replies while letting go of Aegon and taking a step back "The order needs my help. But since you're here, you should join the Crusade and help me purge the wicked evil."
"The wicked evil?" Aegon asks while raising an eyebrow
"Your powers as Dragonborn will help lead the Crusade to victory. You should join us, my love. With you at the helm, we'll gather enough followers to spread the light all across Skyrim!"
"Okay, now this is the Sally I know of…" Aegon thought to himself and smirks from her conversation. However, he stops smiling and remembers that he is no longer Dragonborn.
"Come with us, Dragonborn." Sally says to him
"Actually…. There's something you should probably know about. I shouldn't keep this a secret, so could we speak in privately?"
"Hmmm? Sure."
And so the two go somewhere private near one of the buildings and leaving their bodyguards to stay watch nearby to prevent anyone from eavesdropping. They all would turn their heads towards the two when they hear Sally shout out "WHAT!?"
"Keep your voice down…" Aegon replies and looks towards Lydia for a moment and then back to her.
"This is inhumane. That's disgusting…" Sally replies while looking angry and placing her hands on her waist "Your gifts was a blessing by the light, and you used it to save this world from Deathwing. Why would he do this?"
"That's one of the things I'm going to ask if I ever meet him. Although, I doubt he'll reveal his secrets." Aegon replies
"Hmmmm, but what of you?" Sally asks while looking concern towards Aegon. She lowers her arms when coming closer to him and touches the side of his face with her right hand "Are you alright? Will you be okay?"
". . . . ." Aegon was surprise and starts blushing at seeing her being so close to him again and being a caring wife towards him. "Sally… You have such warm hands…" He lifts his hand up to touch her hand to keep her warm hand pressing against his face.
"You should take a break. Maybe when you're ready, you should come visit me at the monastery. I could use your help, but I need you at your full strength for what's coming."
"What do you mean? What's coming our way?"
Sally lowers her hand and replies "A plague."
