A.n I own Nothing

So this is another filler chapter with Flash pulling various pranks on the Justice League. The last one of these was very well received so I wanted to do another one. This chapter takes place between the end of the Tower of Bable arc, in the week after Ra's plans have been thwarted but before Batman quits and Alucard officially joins the Justice League.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy and like last time please let me know which prank was your favourite.

As always, Please Review.

Flash sat in the Monitor Womb in the Watchtower, the side of his head was rested on one hand and he had a very bored expression on his face. Batman was also at the consoles and doing his own work, his back to Flash.

"Ugh…I'm so bored," Flash moaned as he aimlessly pressed the same button over and over. The screens on the monitor flipped from one to the next.

All was quiet on Earth at the moment, given that people were on the brink of World War III mere days ago. Three days ago, Ra's al Ghul had launched calculated strikes against the Justice League while simultaneously removing the ability to communicate in any way from the rest of the world by both removing everyone on earth's ability to understand written communication and releasing airborne virus with Nanobots that scrambled speech.

The League had all been distracted with personal attacks, which let Ra's complete his plan. However, they managed to come together in time to thwart the Head of the Dragon's scheme. Though both Superman and J'onn had been taken out in the process. Superman had been shot with a kryptonite bullet that had stopped only inches above his heart, and J'onn had been trapped and nearly burnt to death. While they had only just barely survived, both were still in the medical tubes and had yet to regain consciousness.

Flash turned his chair to look at Batman, who was monitoring emails and other text-based communications of the world leaders. Batman and Alucard had been able to remove the Nanobots from they're system due to a magical artifact Flash had stolen and Alucard had tricked Shaft into powering it. Additionally the nanobots were only programmed to be active for about five days. So emails and other Text based commination was the only way the world leaders could communicate, and while nuclear war had been averted, tensions were still high, and Batman wanted all able-bodied members of the League to be on standby just in case.

"Bats, do I have to be here," Flash complained, "nothing's going on planet-side,"

"Good," Batman responded without looking away from his screen. "And yes, we need to be ready in case we have to deal with any emergencies,"

"But I thought everyone already knew about the communications blackout," Flash pointed out.

"You don't think people won't take advantage of it?" Batman asked. "Robberies could be committed with no quick way to alert the authorities, this would be an ideal time for a prison break out or worse another attack. Or someone decided to launch their nuclear warheads for the sake of it. We need everyone ready,"

Flash pouted.

"Still bored," the speedster huffed and turned back to the Monitors. "Nothing's happening,"

Batman sighed. "If you're bored, then go help Green Lantern examine Ra's satellite that he brought in,"

Flash was out the door before Batman could even glance in his direction. "Finally, peace and quiet," he muttered.

Flash raced through the tower but stopped and backtracked to the room with the research terminal. Alucard was at it, typing away, and there was a half-drunk bag of blood on the desk. Flash frowned; he thought that Alucard was supposed to be looking after J'onn and Superman in the medical bay. He walked in.

"Hey Al," Flash greeted as he approached. Alucard turned his attention to the speedster. "Aren't you supposed to be in the infirmary with J'onn and Supes?"

"Superman is stable, and J'onn has briefly regained consciousness this morning," Alucard responded.

"Hey, that's great news. Is J'onn going to be okay? Does he need anything?" Flash asked. "Should I go fill him in on what happened?"

"J'onn is still very weak, and neither he nor Superman are up for visitors at the moment. Besides, he is resting at the moment," Alucard assured. "But…I do not believe either of them to be in any more danger,"

"That's good. I should see if we need to restock the Oreos," Flash commented. "How long do you think he'll be in the infirmary? I want to make sure we have enough that he can have a couple with each meal while he recovers,"

Alucard looked at Flash and smiled. "I do not know, the burns were quite severe… so it could be up to several weeks," he answered. "As for Superman…I cannot say until he wakes up,"

"Oh," Flash responded, deflating a little.

"Do not worry, Flash, both will recover…the fact that I am here and they no longer require my constant attention is proof of that,"

"Why are you here and not helping Green Lantern or Batman?" Flash asked.

"Ah…I thought I would do a little more study," Alucard answered.

"Right, your test is coming up at the end of the week. Is that still on with the whole world unable to communicate?" Flash asked.

"It has been pushed back till mid next week, but yes. It is still on," Alucard answered. "There is still so much I do not know,"

"Too bad you can't just practice," Flash mused.

"Indeed," Alucard agreed.

Suddenly Flash got an idea. He remembered the list of pranks to pull in a computer lab that he had done earlier in the year. After pulling all the pranks, he'd looked online for other fun pranks he could pull, but most of them were in a specific situation or not suitable to pull on a highly sophisticated space station. However, Alucard had presented the perfect opportunity to go through the list of pranks to pull at an exam/test.

Since Alucard had an important test coming up, and he wanted to practice and Flash wanted to pull pranks, so it really was a win-win situation for the scarlet speedster. However, he would need the help of the entire League. J'onn and Superman were out due to their injuries, however, he was sure Batman would not be against it, and neither would the others.

"You know what…I just had a good idea. I got to go. Thanks, Al," Flash said and zoomed off.

"You're welcome…" Alucard responded, though he is unsure what he did.

Flash ran back to the monitor womb and sent a quick email to Michael Holt. Batman was quite surprised to see the speedster back. He was hoping that Flash would be gone for longer.

"What are you doing back here?" Batman asked.

"I ran into Al on the research terminal, he said his upcoming entrance exam has been pushed back a couple of days," Flash explained.

"I know. I was the one who told him," Batman stated.

"Right, so I was thinking if we're not needed we could do a practice test for him," Flash explained, "we get the rest of the team involved and we all sit the test in the communal dining area with the same conditions and scoring method that would be used in the real one,"

Batman eyed Flash suspiciously, curious about what brought this on. It was true the whole league was on the tower and with Alucard's actual test now pushed back, a practice exam would give the vampire an idea of what subjects he needed to focus on.

"That's not a bad idea," Batman agreed. Pondering the idea "but where would we get the questions from?"

"Well, didn't Princeton Academy send out a notice on the subjects covered by the test when Al applied?" Flash pointed out. "We could just use that as a guideline,"

"They did," Batman agreed, "still we don't really have time to do up a mock test. We need to be ready in case we're needed on earth,"

"No problem on that front. I just sent Michael an email asking if he can help with the test and make up the questions," Flash claimed.

Batman nodded. Michael Holt had been helping Alucard study when the vampire was not up on the tower. The two had developed quite a close friendship since they'd saved Metropolis from Brainiac. Though Alucard had gotten all the credit due to his association with the Justice League. Suddenly the console beeped, and a new email notification popped up.

"oh, he responded already," Flash grinned.

"What does he say?" Batman asked.

"He says he's in and can have the practice tests ready for tomorrow afternoon," Flash read out "but he'll need a lift to the tower,"

Batman nodded. "I suppose we can spare a few hours," Batman agreed.

Flash grinned in response.

The remainder of the day passed, and Flash was eager to tell Alucard and the other members of the Justice League about the practice test. Everyone seemed interested as it would help Alucard and give him a good idea of where he stands on modern-day knowledge. Green Lantern and Flash set the communal dining so there was room for everyone to sit at the large tables with smaller side screens to prevent cheating.

The next day, Green Lantern went down to collect Michael and his tests once the League were alerted that he was ready. Green Lantern kept a protective barrier around him so the nanobots in the air would not get in his system, and he extended it to Michael when he picked the university student up. Once they were both back at the tower and they had both been hit by a modified EMP burst to disable the nanobots; curtesy of Batman.

Michael explained what he had done after the initial greetings.

"So I managed to get into Princeton Academy's system and got the test questions. The bad news is there are over 2000 of them, and only 600 will appear on the actual test itself," Michael explained to the League, who had gathered in the communal dining room. "I picked the questions that would most likely be on the test, but it is still guesswork at this point,"

"The test consists of 6 topics: History, Math, Science, Art, Literature, and General Knowledge. Each subject has 100 questions. To get a passing score, Alucard will need to get a total of 400 points. Naturally, the more questions you fill out and get correct, the better the score. Additionally, Princeton Academy has a rule that an applicant can pose a single question to the teachers and those overseeing enrollments. As long as that question falls under one of the subjects, they give bonus points based on the one question, and if they can't answer or guess incorrectly, then the applicant gets a passing grade on that subject," Batman explained. "For obvious reasons, we won't be implementing that rule here,"

"Since you guys are still on standby, we'll do two subjects per day. I'll grade them, and Batman will help me oversee the test to make sure no one is cheating," Michael added. "We'll keep the time limit to two hours as well. Princeton's test is one hour per subject, so we'll stick to that rule as well,"

"Any questions?" Batman finished.

"Yeah, I got one, what about J'onn and Superman?" Green Lantern asked. "Will they do this as well?"

"I doubt it; I'll see how they feel when they wake up," Batman claimed.

"All right, with that out of the way. Let's start today; it's fifteen minutes to the hour now, so we'll start on the hour," Michael advised.

The League agreed, and Flash quickly found some pencils and other stationery to use, along with some other necessities. Alucard went up to Michael and thanked him for doing this, but Michael waved him off. He was just happy to be of help and back up on the tower. Plus, Batman had agreed to let him look at Ra's satellite.

As the hour approached, all the Justice League members took their seats. Each table was set up so that two people could sit and work there, one on both ends and on opposite sides. The removable walls prevented a person from looking over the others' answers. J'onn had woken up a few hours before Michael had arrived and decided to take the test(1) as well. Though Batman wanted him to do it in the infirmary, J'onn insisted he be in the communal dining hall with others.

They were all given two subjects worth, and as Michael counted down the seconds to begin, Flash couldn't help but grin. He would not be bored anymore, and once the test started, Batman was going to learn not to trust Flash's suggestions EVER again.

Michael signalled the start time, and the League opened their papers and began the test.

1. Bring a pillow. Fall asleep (or pretend to) until the last 15 minutes. Wake up, say "Oh geez, better get cracking" and do some gibberish work. Turn it in a few minutes early.

Everyone kept shooting him glares. But Flash knew they were just angry that they didn't think to bring a pillow. It was a really comfy pillow.

2. Make paper airplanes out of the exam. Aim them at the instructor's left nostril.

Batman was not amused. Michael found it hilarious and made his own paper planes to throw back at Flash. The two ended up having a paper airplane-throwing competition. Batman won by throwing his Batarangs at the planes, pinning the papers against the wall.

3. Talk the entire way through the exam. Read questions aloud, debate your answers with yourself aloud. If asked to stop, yell out, "I'm SOOO sure you can hear me thinking," Then start talking about what a jerk the instructor is.

"Flash, I am sitting right next to you, and I am doing my best not to hear what you and the others are thinking," J'onn pointed out. "You are making that extremely difficult,"

"Just put him in another silence bubble," Hawkgirl commented. "Do us all a favour,"

"Sorry, what?" Green Lantern asked and removed a green headphone construct that he was using to block out Flash's outspoken thoughts.

After the test, Flash was dragged by Batman to the infirmary for a mental evaluation.

4. Bring a Game Boy or Portable game system. Play with the volume at max level.

Flash brought up a Pokémon Emerald and was constantly asking Alucard if he should faint/kill or capture each Pokémon he encountered.

"So, Zigzagoon… keep or kill, what do you think, Al?" Flash asked.

"Flash. I am trying to focus," Alucard responded irritably.

"You're right, he's too dangerous to be left alive," Flash agreed.

5. Bring pets.

Flash walked into the room with Winter, the large white wolf at his side. The other members of the League were shocked to see the canine, as they didn't really believe J'onn about the intelligent wolf he'd met during the AMAZO incident. J'onn was delighted to see the wolf and led the wolf on a tour of the Watchtower before forgoing the test to sit and pet the wolf for the rest of the day. Surprisingly, Winter was very well-behaved and very friendly.

"Flash, where did you find Winter, and how did you convince him to come up to the tower?" J'onn asked as he scratched behind Winters ears.

J'onn was sitting at one of the tables facing outward with Winter lying on the bench next to him, the wolfs head rested calmly on J'onns lap. The Wolf had it's eyes closed and was very content. Flash was on the other side petting the wolfs back.

"I just ran around the woods that you always visit until I found him," Flash answered. "Though it's weird, I searched that whole area a good five times before I found a trace of him,"

"I'm surprised that no one noticed you down there," Michael commented. He was sitting at another table with Batman and Wonder Woman watching the two heroes.

"I did. I informed everyone over the comms that Flash was running around that area," Batman claimed.

"By the way, has anyone seen Alucard?" Wonder Woman asked. "I know we didn't do the test today because of the wolf, but I haven't seen him all afternoon,"

"Now that you mention it, I haven't seen him either," Michael agreed.

"I saw him disappear into his black flames earlier," Hawkgirl offered, "just after Batman contacted us about Flash running around in the woods,"

"Huh, wonder where he went," Flash pondered.

6. Run into the exam room looking about frantically. Breathe a sigh of relief. Go to the instructor, say "They've found me, I have to leave the country" and run off.

Michael merely blinked at Flash's declaration and looked at the present members of the Justice League.

"Did Flash get into trouble with the Bat Family again?" he asked, confused.

"Most likely," J'onn responded. "In that case, he should leave the galaxy if he knows what's good for him," Hawkgirl commented.

"I'll take him as soon as I am done here," Green Lantern promised.

7. Fifteen minutes into the exam, stand up, rip up all the papers into very small pieces, throw them into the air and yell out "Merry Christmas," Ask for another copy of the exam. Say you lost the first one. Repeat this process every fifteen minutes.

Flash took it a step further by making paper snowflakes and human chains out of the test papers.

Batman was not in a very Christmas-y, or giving, mood that day.

8. Do the exam with crayons, paint, or fluorescent markers.

Flash decided to go all out and used finger paints. It was the Art portion of the exam so Michal gave him extra points for bringing his own medium.

9. Bring things to throw at the instructor when s/he's not looking. Blame it on the person nearest to you.

When Micheal asked Wonder Woman to leave Flash felt bad.

10. As soon as the instructor hands you the exam, eat it.

He was still hungry afterwards, so he ate everyone else's too.

"So that's why he brought a bottle of sauce up to the tower today," Alucard commented.

11. Every five minutes, stand up, collect all your things, move to another seat, continue with the exam.

Flash probably wouldn't have gotten in trouble had he not started taking seats in occupied chairs.

12. Do the entire exam as if it was multiple choice and true/false.

Question 23. In your own words, Explain the first and second laws of thermodynamics.

True.

13. Every now and then, clap twice rapidly. If the instructor asks why, tell him/her in a very derogatory tone, "the light bulb that goes on above my head when I get an idea is hooked up to a clapper. DUH!"

Michael ordered one of his T-spheres to hover over Flash's head and had it turn on and off the searchlight feature every time Flash clapped.

"Do not encourage this," Batman scowled.

"I've said it before and I'll say it again, he's not that bright," Hawkgirl muttered under her breath at the speedster's antics.

14. From the moment the exam begins, hum the theme to Jeopardy. Ignore the instructor's requests for you to stop.

"That song is going to be stuck in my head for a week," Michal complained.

"Flash, you might not know it, but you really are in jeopardy," Batman threatened.

18. Try to get people in the room to do the wave.

Flash got everyone but Batman to join in.

19. Bring a large, cumbersome, ugly idol. Put it right next to you. Pray to it often. Consider a small sacrifice.

Flash brought up a golden idol of some old god and started praying; his prayers were out loud and mostly gibberish. No one was really bothered by this, that is until Flash made the offering. The idol's eyes began to glow, and dark mist seeped out of its mouth, filling the room as a powerful demonic-like entity rose up out of the idol.

"Ah, you have summoned me and brought me a feast," the entity smiled as he looked over at the other Justice League members. "I accept your offering of living sacrifices…though I prefer human flesh, I will make an exception for my grand return. Once I feast, I will resume my rightful place as the god of mankind and devourer of souls, and you, oh fast one, will be my head priest. I expect only the choicest of mortals,"

Everyone in the room, minus Alucard, stared up at the entity that had risen from the idol in shock, mostly because none of them had expected anything to come from Flash's gibberish. Even more so, the entity apparently fed on humans.

Alucard, however, had his hand covering his eyes and was shaking his head.

"Oops…my bad, guys," Flash said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. "This one's on me,"

It turns out what Flash had thought was gibberish was actually a real prayer to summon the entity the idol represented, and it thought the League themselves were Flash's offering. Thankfully, Alucard was quick to deal with the invading hungry entity before anyone could be hurt and with minimal damage to the watchtower. He confiscated the idol and took it back to his castle for safekeeping, promising to give the entity a reason not to come back to the mortal plane.

Once that was done, Alucard and the others demanded to know where Flash had gotten the idol from. The scarlet speedster was forced to admit his source.

"Look mate, in my defence, I was 80% sure it was harmless," Constantine admitted when he was confronted by Alucard.

Later, Alucard and Batman gave Jason Blood, Dr. Fate, Constantine, and the Belmonts a very stern lecture on why they were not to give out magical items or totems of any kind to Flash...EVER.

20. Pass!

"I can't believe it. I just simply can't believe it," Hawkgirl moaned. "There is no way Flash not only passed the practice tests but also got a perfect score in all subjects,"

"Indeed. It is a concerning sign for humanity," J'onn agreed.

"How he found time to get perfect scores with all the distractions and the destruction of test papers he caused with his antics, I'll never know," Green Lantern sighed.

"It's not really that surprising when you think about it," Batman stated.

"The end of mankind's world must be near. Do you think we should consult Aeon to see if this is meant to happen?" Wonder Woman suggested.

"I cannot help but ponder the frightful headway we'd make if Flash put the same amount of energy that he does into jokes into the job as a hero," Alucard stated.

"It's okay, guys," Michael consoled. "Just calm down, go beat up some bad guys, and you'll be fine,"

"You guys remember that I'm in the room with you, right?" Flash asked.

Practice Test Scores:

1st: Flash got 100% on everything - even though he caused the most disruption.

2nd: J'onn scored second highest - getting everything right except a few questions in literature.

3rd: Green Lantern did very well - he got very high scores in all the tests. Though he was beaten by J'onn with his near-perfect score.

4th: Hawkgirl scored third lowest - Science and Math being her best subjects with near-perfect scores and having above-average scores in everything but art.

5th: Alucard got the second lowest score - Like Hawkgirl, he got perfect scores in Maths and Science and an above-average score in History. However, he failed in Art, Literature, and General Knowledge, having outdated knowledge and not having read any famous works or modern literature, e.g. Shakespeare.

6th: Wonder Woman with the lowest score, due to only being introduced to Man's World recently, and a lot of what she was taught on Themyscira was irrelevant to the questions asked.

Superman did not participate due to being confined to the infirmary...though he definitely heard about Flash's antics from Batman later.

(1) J'onn and Superman didn't wake up until a good 7-9 days after the events of the tower of Bable, however, I really wanted to add Winter into this list of Pranks and I needed J'onn for that. So I had him recover earlier than stated in a previous chapter.

(2) In the Gen 3 Pokémon games, Zigzagoon's evolved form Linoone was considered the most broken and overpowered Pokémon you could catch. This is due to its ability to sweep any opponent in the game, including soloing the Elite Four. In Gen 3, Linoone could learn the following moves: Belly Drum, Extremespeed, Substitute, Shadow Ball, and Return. Due to all Ghost moves being physical moves in Gen 3, there was nothing Linoone could not take down, and other Pokémon in the game could do virtually nothing against him. Linoone is still considered a solid choice for a sweeper/wall in completive play for later Generations and a favorite for Hardcore Nuzlocke runs.
