Luffy and Doll were both on the Obsidian Dog, with Luffy resting on the prow, using his hat to cover his eyes as he slept.
Before long, Luffy let out a yawn as he started to wake up, "Alright, that was a good nap," Luffy said as he stood up and began to move his body to remove the stiffness from his body.
"So how long away are we from Shells Town," Luffy asked Doll, who was at the helm.
Doll looked at the table next to her with a map and compass.
She looked down at it with her finger moving across the map.
"We should reach the town in a few days if the weather says like this," Doll told him as a gunshot filled the air as they both looked around.
"Are they taking a shot at us," Luffy asked as he looked around before he spotted something falling towards them at high speed.
It was a large, rounded bird with features similar to a panda-bird hybrid with an elongated beak.
And it crashed into the Obsidian Dog, breaking into the bottom deck of the sloop.
"I'll go look," Luffy said as he looked into the hole that the bird made, "Can you make sure that we don't get hit by more of these," He asked as he walked to the lower deck of the sloop.
"Sure thing," Doll said as she kept an eye out.
"Balloon," She heard Someone cry as she saw a large ship approaching them.
Luffy, below the deck, looked at the bird that crashed into the Obsidian Dog.
"Are you an ostrich or a panda," Luffy asked the bird with a confused look.
"Luffy, can you come up here and bring the thing that crashed into our deck," Doll called down to her captain.
Luffy stretched his arms around the bird, who squawked at him before he started to carry the bird up to the top deck.
"What is it, Doll," Luffy asked as he reached the top deck.
She pointed at the ship approaching them; with Luffy narrowing his eyes as he looked at the boat, he returned his arms to normal.
The bird span in the air before Luffy took hold of it once more as he looked up.
"Balloon, you have to get out of here," A woman with blue hair yelled out to the bird before two men grabbed her and pulled her back with one pointing a gun at her.
"Keep your eye out," Luffy said as a rope ladder rolled down and offered down to them.
"Hey, you two, can you bring that creature up here," A man asked as Doll looked at Luffy, who nodded, and both of them carried Balloon up to the deck of the more giant ship and Balloon was put into a cage as Doll and Luffy walked over to a mast.
Tied to it was the woman with blue hair with a pink clip in her hair and light blue eyes, and she was wearing a white shirt with short sleeves and aqua green stripes and a light blue skirt with white lines.
"You're both spineless," She yelled at both Doll and Luffy, "How could you let pirates get their hands on Balloon," She told both Luffy and Doll.
"You the bird," Doll asked, pointing a thumb over to the cage.
"We did hear a gunshot," Luffy said with a cocked head.
"He was shot on the orders of Shupeal the Hexagon," She told them as Luffy narrowed his eyes.
"So he's the ship's captain," Doll asked as the woman nodded, "And if I'm right, he has got a bounty," She added, with Luffy nodding along.
"Really, what is it," Luffy asked her.
"3,500,000 Beri," Doll said as Luffy nodded.
"Wow," Luffy said with shock on his face before it dropped, "That's pretty low," He said as the woman with blue hair looked at him with wide eyes.
"How is three and a half million Beri low," She asked him before shaking her head, "He's a sorcerer that is notorious within the East Blue, and you handed my bird over to him," She yelled at the two of them.
"That's a thing," Doll asked and saw that Luffy was nodding, "Realy, you met someone who could use magic that did not have a Devil Fruit," She asked him, and Luffy nodded.
"Yeah, it was a member of Shanks's crew," Luffy said as the woman tied to the mast popped her eyes wide, "His name was Hongo," He added.
"Oh, really," Doll said before turning back to the woman with blue hair.
Before they could say any more, a pirate crew member yelled, "Captain Shupeal is here," and all the ship's men started to line up.
And out of the captain's, he wore a striped shirt of multiple colours, black shorts, a pirate belt, a tricorne and an open vest, and a broomstick in his hand.
"That's him," The girl with blue hair said as Shupeal walked forward, "And he left my home in shambles," She told both Luffy and Doll, who looked at her before looking down at Shupeal.
"So the Ruku is ours," Shupeal asked one of his men, "We've been after that monster bird for so long," He said as the man smiled at his captain.
"Yes, sir," He told him.
"Job, well done," He told his men, who each smiled at each other before he looked up at Luffy and Doll, "And you two up there, I take it that you two are the ones that helped us capture it," Shupeal asked them as Luffy looked down at him with Doll raising a brow at him.
"What would you two like, name your reward," Shupeal told them as Luffy walked down with Doll, staying near the girl, "Anything your heart desires, my dear boy," He said to Luffy, and Doll saw Luffy narrow his eyes.
"He's going to pull a Garp," She sighed as she got ready to fight.
"Your head looks weird," Luffy said as the crew of Shupeal looked at him with their jaws dropped and tears falling from their eyes.
And Luffy was right as Shupeal had a sallow face, his hair tied into six short ponytails with rainbow colours, arranged in a hexagonal manner, two of which stuck out of his tricorne.
"What a hurtful thing to say to me," Shupeal said as he tried to keep a bright face while looking at Luffy, who was laughing at him, "Lock these three up," Shupeal yelled out with Luffy gaining a savage smile.
"Doll, it's time to fight," Luffy called out as Doll jumped forward, and over the heads of most of the crew, Luffy jumped up as well as Doll came down.
"Hel Hammer," Doll called out as she came from the sky, and she brought her fist down on the ship's main deck as it splintered from the force of the impact of her fist.
"What the hell," Everyone yelled as they looked at her with eyes bugging out.
Shupeal jumped onto his broomstick, pulled out a flintlock and aimed it at Doll, "You bitch," Shupeal yelled at her, but Luffy got in the way of the attack as he shot.
The bullet hit him, and he started to push his skin out.
"What the hell," Everyone yelled once more as they looked at him with eyes bugging out.
"I don't want it," Luufy said with a smile as he looked at Shupeal, "Have this back," He yelled out as he sent the bullet back to Shupeal.
"Come out, Hammer," Shupeal called out as a giant hammer formed in his hands, and it met Doll's fist and pushed him back.
"There no way," Shupeal shouted before looking at his crew, "Your captain is in trouble; deal with them," He shouted at his men as they got up and drew their swords while they at both Luffy and Doll.
But both of them were smirking at each other and jumped forward.
Luffy stretched his leg out and kicked in a wide circle, taking out many of them while Doll's left fist gave off a chilling mist.
"Frozen Treachery," Doll called out as she punched the ground and sent out a wave of chilling energy, freezing them all to the deck; the woman with blue hair looked at them in shock.
"Just what are they," She asked as they defeated Shupeal's crew.
"You two must have eaten a Devil Fruit each, if I'm not mistaken," Shupeal said as he stood on his broomstick.
Doll and Luffy looked up to see Shupeal standing by the crow nest on his broomstick, with Balloon tied around his neck and flying above Shupeal.
"But that does not matter as I got what I wanted," Shupeal said as he held his hand out, and it started to give off a pink glow.
But before he could do anything, Doll appeared in the air next to him, and she was in her half-beast form.
In this form, she looked a foot taller with grey fur covering her body and her head taking on a dog-like shape with a head on either of her original head.
Her hands were sharp claws, and her feet were dog paws.
"What the," was all Shupeal managed to say before Doll took hold of him and used her other head to bite down on Shupeal's shoulders.
He cried out in pain as he let go of Balloon and fell off his broom.
Doll planted her feet on his chest before kicking off, sending the sorcerer towards Luffy, and she turned back into her human form.
"Your turn, Luffy," She called out to him as Luffy stretched his arm out.
"Nonononononono," Shupeal called out as he fell towards the boy with the straw hat, whose arm was stretched out.
"Gum-Gum," Luffy started calling out as the blue-haired woman looked amazed at them.
"Wow," She said as Luffy sent his fist forward, hitting Shupeal.
"Pistol," Luffy finished as he sent Shupeal flying across the water.
Doll used her Geppo to kick off the air and landed on the ground.
Luffy looked around at the other members of Shupeal's crew, "Anyone else," Luffy asked them as they shook their heads.
Luffy walked over to the woman tied at the mast, pulled a sword from the ship, and cut the ropes away from her.
"What and who are you two," She asked them.
"Should you not introduce yourself first," Doll asked as she walked over.
"Oh, right, I'm Ann," Ann said to them.
"I'm Monkey D Luffy, a Peace Main pirate, and I ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi," Luffy said as Doll walked over.
"And I'm Doll, a member of Luffy's crew and also a Peace Main pirate and like Luffy, I ate a Devil Fruit," Doll told her as Ann looked at her.
"I thought those were a myth," She said as Doll and Luffy shook their heads.
"Nope, I ate the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Cerberus, a mythical zoan Devil Fruit," Doll told her, with Ann looking amazed at them before both Doll and Luffy started to walk around Shupeal's ship.
"Where are you going," Ann asked them as she followed them.
"We're making sure that we take everything that can be sold, their treasure and anything else that we can take from them," Luffy said as they walked around.
After loading everything onto the Obsidian Dog, Doll walked over to the hull of the more giant ship.
The part of the hull was where water would start rushing in, and so it would sin so with one of her first glowing red flames, she punched the hull, "Hell Fire's Wrath," She said as a small burst of flames that sent cracks over the wood and when she pulled her fist back, water started to flood into the ship.
Doll walked away as the ship's crew started to run around looking for lifeboats.
Ann was on top of the Balloon, and the two watched as Luffy and Doll sailed away.
The next day, a passenger liner was sailing leisurely across the water as it skirted the rim of a whirlpool with people on board dancing and having a party with crew members watching out in case something was going to happen or if the whirlpool got any bigger.
Two members of the crew tried to bring up a barrel that hit the side of the ship as a third member was within the crow's nest looking down at them, "Dame, you suck," He called out to them before he saw something off to the side that was coming out behind a rock formation.
"Oh, it's heavier than I thought it was," said one of the crew mates, bringing up a barrale.
"Maybe it's filled with beer," The other said as he tugged the rope, pulling the barrel up.
"Well, it's ours now," The first one said as they pulled the barrel onto the deck.
But the crew member in the crow's nest started to sweat as he saw something.
It was a ship that came out from behind the rock formation.
It was a large pink ship with four sails, one higher than the other three, with each of the sails having a pink heart; the ship had two hearts on each sail, and the ship's figurehead was a duck.
But what really drew the man's eye was the jolly roger flying high above it.
It was a skull on crossed bones; however, it is depicted from the side and has a pink heart.
"SHIP OFF THE STARBOARD BOW, AND THEY ARE FLYING A PIRATE FLAG," The man in the crow's nest yelled down to the two with the barrel, "WE HAVE A PIRATE SHIP IN PERSUITE, ENEMY RAIN, ENEMY RAIN," He called out as the pirate ship fired it's cannon balls.
But the man did not see the Obsidian Dog heading their way.
"Luffy," Doll called out as the boy lying on the deck sat up to look over to Doll, "It seems that there's a fight going on," She told him as she pointed over with Luffy following her finger.
"Yep, let's go," Luffy said as Doll used the helm and started to make their way over to them as the cannonballs landed around the passenger liner.
Aboard the pirate ship that kept bombarding the passenger liner with their canons, and they even destroyed another ship's dolphin figurehead.
The captain of the pirate ship was watching this, and she was a tall and obese woman with long wavy black hair and freckles on her cheeks who wore a white cowgirl hat with a large red plume, a red neckerchief, a pink plaid shirt, and a blue captain's coat over it with the arms in the sleeves, unlike many other pirates and rings on her fingers and her long sharp fingernails had red polish.
"Koby," The woman called out as a shot pink-haired boy flinched as he looked at her.
He had purple round-frame glasses, a white button-button-up shirt with blue accents, and buttons with black pants.
"Yes, ma'am," Koby asked her.
"Who is the most beautiful woman within the east blue," The captain asked him.
"That would be the captain of this ship, Captain Alvia, of course," Koby told her as the now-named Alvida smiled.
And then she started to laugh with a wide smile before she slammed a large spiked iron club onto the deck of her ship.
"Good answer, Koby," Alvida told him as Koby chuckled nervously at her.
"Thank you for being kind to me," Koby told her as another member walked up.
"It's been a while since we've seen some action," He told Alvida, who turned to him.
"That's right, so make the hits count, boys," Alvida told them as they tried to pressure the passenger liner.
Over on the Obsidian Dog, they started to make their way over to the two ships fighting, "If I remember right, that ship belongs to the Alvida Pirates," Doll told Luffy, who looked at her.
"I don't think I heard of them," Luffy said as Doll nodded.
"That makes sense as they are not really that infamous, but they are a deadly crew and have a kill count in the sixties," Doll told him as Luffy nodded and turned to the ship, "And with the haul that we got from Shupeal, we have around 200,000 Beri along with things that I do not know what they cost but could give us either three or four thousand more," Doll told him as Luffy nodded.
"Alright then, we'll see if we can get some more ammunition," Luffy said as Doll looked at him with a raised brow, "If I'm seeing it right, they are using a special kind of cannonball," He told her as she looked at the battle and saw that he was right.
"So they are, and it looks like they are using explosive rounds," Doll said as they got closer and saw that people were fleeing the passenger liner, and the Alvida Pirates started to board the passenger liner.
The Alvida Pirates crew moved into the passenger liner's main hall as they stopped at the only exit everyone could use.
"Now then, we're not going to kill any of you, but that is only if you listen to what we say," One of the pirates said as he looked at the passengers, "So just give us everything that you have on you, and you'll be free to go," He told them all.
"And anyone that fights back will be eating their dinner at the bottom of the sea," Alvida said as she walked up to her crew.
While the pirates started robing the passengers, a girl silently moved away; she had short orange hair and light brown eyes.
She was dressed in a ballroom gown with pink lines, a red necklace, earrings, and a pink bracelet before changing to a blue shirt, black pants, a red scarf at the waist, a pirate-style black bandana on the head, and two black bracelets.
Doll manoeuvred the Obsidian Dog right next to Alvida's ship as Luffy looked at the passenger liner, "I'll head over there and try to draw them back onto their ship while you start taking things from them," Luffy said as he stretched his arm out and made sure to get hold of the passenger liner and rocketed over to it and Doll used Geppo to jump over to Alvida's ship and started to raid it for all that she could see.
Luffy landed on the deck before following something his grandfather told him to follow if he needed to find something.
His stomach.
So he started to walk around but kept an eye out in case any of Alvida's crew was nearby, and he found stairs going down before he saw Someone who made him stop.
It was the orange-haired girl, and she looked at him.
She was about to run back in, but Luffy pointed at a man walking around Alvida's ship.
Before he was launched off the ship by Doll, who shook her head and walked in.
Luffy turned away and walked down the stairs as the girl looked at him, "Is he a pirate, How did he," She asked herself as he disappeared from view.
So, she used a scarf to zip line over to the ship to see Doll walking out of a door, holding a large chest in her hands and looking at the girl with orange hair, "Afternoon," Doll said, walking past her.
Koby was in the galley rolling a large barrel to the door as three other members of Alvida's crew came to the door and saw Koby, "Well, if it's not our favourite cowered," The fat one said as Koby stopped rolling the barrel.
And down the hall was Luffy, who saw them standing by the door, "Trying to duck in here and get away from the action again," He heard one of them say.
"No, no, I was just going to bring this barrel of beer up to you guys," Koby said as Luffy walked over.
"Oh, then why don't you let us lighten the load," The fat one said as he and the other two looked at the barrel with thirst.
"I was just feeling a little thirsty," One of them said.
"But, you can't; Lady Alvida will kill us if she ever found out," Koby told them, but the third laughed him off.
"She won't if you keep your trap shut," He told him as the fat one stood the barrel up.
"This suckers heavy," The fat one said with a smile as the second man chuckled.
"Perfect," He said as the fat one raised his fist back to punch open the lid.
And when he brought his fist down, Luffy started his attack as he jumped in and appeared in the man's face with his fist ready and a smile.
"What-," He was saying before Luffy punched him and sent the man into a wall knocked out.
"Good afternoon," Luffy said as he landed softly on the barrel.
"Who the hell are you," One of Alivda's men asked him.
"And what was with the good afternoon," The other asked him.
Luffy just smiled at them with his usual smile, and one of them pulled out a sword and pointed it at Luffy while the other drew his sword and held it at the ready.
"Who do you think you're messing with," The one whose sword was pointing at Luffy asked, "Do you not know that we're visual pirates," He asked Luffy.
Who in turned egnored him and turned to Koby, "Would you happen to have any food, I am feeling a tad bit hungry," Luffy asked.
"I'm talking to you," The man yelled at the teen.
So both men raised their swords, and before they could use them to cut at Luffy, the teen put a hand on the barrel and swept his leg out to kick at both of them, knocking them down.
"What just happened," Koby asked, shocked as he looked at Luffy, who moved around on the barrel once more and looked at Koby.
"I knocked them out," Luffy said as he got off the barrel and started to walk out with Koby fooling after him.
"You have to get off the ship quick, as when they wake up, they'll get their buddy, and then they'll all kill," Koby told him, but Luffy looked at him with a smile.
"Oh, I don't think so, as they are just some weaklings," Luffy said as Koby looked at him with a dropped jaw.
"How are they weak," Koby asked as they walked along the hall, "Poppoko is the second strongest on the crew next to Lady Alvida, then these the Heppoko, who is a great swordsman; Peppoko is the master of arms of the ship, and then there is Hoppoko the cannoneer," Koby said as Luffy raised a brow at him.
"So what, if they can be beaten by a single punch and kick, then they are weak," Luffy said as they heard a crash above deck.
Koby looked out a window and saw that three members of Aliva's crew were sent flying off their own ship.
"What the," Koby asked aloud before running to catch up to Luffy, "Hey, my name is Koby," He told Luffy, who turned to him.
"Hey, I'm Monkey D Luffy," Luffy said as they turned a corner, "So, Koby, I have to ask, are you one of the passengers on this ship or one of the pirates," Luffy asked him.
Koby said nothing for a while before telling Luffy what happened to him.
How he was going fishing one day but mistook the boat he was going fishing in for one owned by Alvida, "What was two years ago," Koby told him as Luffy nodded, "But for me to stay alive, I have to live my life as a cabin boy for this crew," He added.
"I have to say you're stupid," Luffy said as Koby's toped.
"Thank you for your honesty," Koby told him.
"All you have to do is leave if you hate it," Luffy told him.
But then Koby started to shake his head, "Are you kidding; I can't do that, no way, nuh uh, not a chance, just the thought of Alvida finding me scares me so bad I want to throw up," Koby told him as Luffy just looked at him.
On Alvida's ship, Doll was in the middle of Alida's men, who each had their swords out and pointed at her while she held one of the chests they had just put on their ship.
"Hey, just who the fuck are you bitch," One of them called out.
"She is one of them," Another asked.
"Yeah, I heard that it's a team of two," Yet another said.
And Aliva did not know as she was sending chests of treasure over.
But before long, a man ran up to them, "Captain, we have a problem," Doll heard as she.
"Well, it's time to shift gears," Doll said as she put the chest down and beat down all the men surrounding her.
While this was happening, Alvida was none the wiser as the man who ran up to her looked frightened, "What is it," Alvida asked him.
"There someone else on the ship, and he's taking out the crew as they are all knocked out," He told her as Alvida looked at him in shock.
"What, how," She asked asked him.
"I don't know, they won't respond," He told her.
Koby watched as Luffy took out more of Alvida's crew as they littered around him.
"If only I had your strength, I would leave and follow my dreams," Koby said as Luffy looked at him, "But what made you set sail on this sea, Luffy," Koby asked him as Luffy smiled.
"Two things, but the main one is I'm going to be king of the pirates," Luffy said as Koby looked at him with a dropped jaw.
"The king of the pirates, that would mean you're a pirate too," Koby said as Luffy nodded.
"Right, but unlike the woman you work for, I'm a Peace Main," Luffy said as Koby stopped for a second.
"Peace Main," He asked Luffy.
"A Peace Main is a pirate who goes on adventures and does not really care about treasure or fighting other pirates; we steal and fight other pirates at all, but our primary goal is usually not to own it, and greed is generally not their motivation, and our crew is our treasure," Luffy told him as he looked amazed.
"What is Alvida," Koby asked her.
"They are called Morgabeer, and a Morganeer fights for treasure and personal ambition, and they are greedy, love to fight, and often enjoy causing other people pain and misery," Luffy explained to him.
"So, do you have a crew," Koby asked him.
"My only crewmate at the moment is tossing all the members of Alvida's crew into the water," Luffy said as he pointed to the window, and Koby saw Doll grasping a man's head before throwing him into the water.
"Wow," Koby said before he shook his head, "How are you going to find the one treasure that is said to hold wealth, fame and power; it's impossible," Koby told him as he shook his head back and forth, but Luffy gentled tapped his fist on Koby's head to stop him.
"Koby, it's not if I can do it or if people say that it's impossible; I'm doing this so I can be free," Luffy told him as Koby looked at him, "And so I will do it, even if I die along the way," He told him as Koby looked at him in shock.
"I never thought of it like that," Koby said as he looked off into space, "Do you think that if I put my mind to it and am prepared to die do you think that I could follow my dream," Koby asked Luffy who looked at Koby and nodded.
"Yep," Luffy said as he stopped walking to look at the pink-haired teen.
"So I could join the Marines," Koby said before seeing Luffy wince.
"Yes, but it's best that-," Luffy was saying before the ceiling gave way and Alvida came crashing down onto them.
"Well, what do we have here," Alvida asked as she looked at Luffy, "Is my core boy committing mutiny," Alvida asked him as more of her crew flooded the hallway and around the hole she made in the deck.
Luffy raised an eye at her as Alvida looked at him.
"Koby, the most beautiful woman in the east blue," She asked him as Koby started to freak out, but Luffy pulled out a Garp again.
"Hey, Koby, who is this fat bitch," Luffy asked him as everyone's jaws dropped with both shock and fear.
Vains started to pop on Alvida's face as she raised her club at Luffy, who took hold of Koby and then jumped over Alvida and out the hole she made.
"Get 'im," One of them called out as Luffy started to punch and kick each man, and one of them got a head but to the face that sent him tumbling to the floor.
Doll soon joined him as she jumped from Alvida's ship to the other, "What the," Someone said before Doll came slamming down.
"Hel Hammer," Doll cried as she came crashing down with her first forward, cracking the wood and sending the crew flying around her.
Doll looked up as both looked at the hundred men who were a part of Alvida's crew.
Luffy smiled, "You ready," He asked her as she looked at him with a raised brow.
"Let's do this," She said as they each took crew members and started to use their Devil Fruit abilities.
"Gum-Gum Gatling," Luffy called out as he started to punch all the pirates rapidly around him, and his fist blurred.
Blue electricity started to form around one of Doll's fists as she punched one guy in the chest and sent him flying with a cry of 'Susanoo's Fist,' and each person that the guy hit was electrocuted.
That caused a chain reaction as all of the men Doll faced were down for the count.
"What are you," Koby asked them as he looked at Luffy and Doll.
"I'm a rubber man," Luffy said as he stretched his cheek to show that he was rubber.
"And I'm a Cerberus woman," Doll said as she formed lighting around one first, a chilling mist around the other and had embers fall from her mouth as she spoke.
"So the two of you ate the Devil Fruits," Alvida said as she stood behind Koby, who ran and hid behind Luffy.
"That right," Luffy said with a smile as he and Doll looked at Alvida.
"I heard rumours that they existed, but I never thought anything that would have me believe that they existed until now," Alvida said as she looked at them, "And I know you 're not Zoro or his partner Kuina, so what are you two, bounty hunters," She asked them.
"We're pirates," Doll said as she cracked her neck.
"I see," Alvida said as she studied them both.
"Luffy, we should just go; you saw how strong she is with her club, and of all the dirty cheating people on the sea, she's the most," Koby was saying as Luffy looked at him with Doll looking at him out of the corner of her eye when he remembered what Luffy told him.
"Go on, tell me, I'm the what," Alvida asked with a smile forming on her face.
And that is when Koby steeled his nerve, "The ugliest bitch there is in the entire world," Koby told her as the few members of the crew that was conscious looked at Koby in shock.
Veins bulged on her face as Doll hid a smile, "Well, she is no, Boa Hancock," Doll said as more veins popped on her face as Luffy laughed.
And so, before Koby could say any more to her, Alvida raised her club in the air and got ready to bring it down on Koby.
And so Doll pulled him out of the way, and Luffy moved into his place and took the mace as Koby looked shocked.
But.
"That won't work," Luffy said as he pushed the mase off his head and stretched his arm back as it moved past the ship.
"Gum-Gum," Luffy called out before stopping his first as it reached the right distance.
He brought it back and punched Alvida in the chest, "Pistol," He said as he kept his fist going forward and shot Alfiva off the ship.
Once that was done, Luffy nodded at Doll and started to walk towards their ship, "Come on, Koby, we'll take you to Shell's town," Luffy told him.
"Oh, thank you," He said as he followed them to the Obsidian Dog.
As they sailed away, Koby turned to Luffy, "Hey, Luffy," He asked the rubber man.
"Yeah," Luffy asked him.
"What were you going to say before Alvida stopped you from crashing in," Koby asked him, and Luffy sighed.
Luffy looked at Doll, who looked confused, "What is it," She asked him as she ensured they were going on the right course.
"He wants to be a marine," Luffy said as Doll winced.
"Oh," she said before looking at Koby, "I don't think that's a good idea at the moment," She told him as he glanced at her.
"What do you mean," Koby asked her as Doll walked away from the helm and into where she used to store books.
She pulled out the book that Dragon gave to Garp and walked out.
"I used to be in the Marines, and I was a commodore," Doll said as she held the book over, and Koby looked shocked, "But when Rear Admiral Monkey D Garp, Luffy's grandfather, showed me what was in this book it shook me on how bad the Marines are," Doll said as Koby opened the book and his face turned to disgust.
"What is all this," He asked her.
"Everything that all the Marines do is seen as justice," Luffy said with a sad look at Koby, who looked up at him, "My dad, who gathered this information, gave this to my grampa, and both he and the Fleet Admiral, could not do anything as their hand we're tied, they were even thinking of making a task forces that would deal with them," Luffy said as Koby looked at him.
"But," Koby asked with a shaking voice.
"But even with a task force, it would do nothing, that is, until Garp and Luffy's dad came up with an idea," Doll said as Koby turned to her, "Garp would pick a Marine that was not dirty or currently in any way and have them join his grandson's pirate crew, and he picked me, but he told us one day that if we ever find someone that wants to join the Marines, we have to stop them," She told him as Koby looked down.
He said nothing as his view on the Marines was shattered, but Luffy cut in, "But there is an upside," He said as Koby looked up at him, "You could join me, and with the two of us, we could take out the evil, and you could show the world what justice really is," Luffy said with a smile, and Koby nodded.
"Yeah," He said as he stood up and walked over to Luffy, who stood up and held out a hand, "So can I join you," Koby asked him.
"Yes," Luffy said with a smile as he shook Koby's hand.
"I might hold the crew back, but I'll work hard," Koby told him as Doll smiled at him and returned to the helm.
"Don't worry; when we're out a bit more, I'll get your training started," she told him as she looked at the map beside her.
"Do you want to be an expert in anything," She asked him as he looked at her before she pointed to the room she was just in with all the books, "I'm learning enough to teach people fighting styles or things like Ki or Chakra, so you go pick," She told him as Koby nodded as started to make his way but stop when he wore Luffy said.
"Who are Zoro and Kuina."
Koby turned to him, "From what I hear, they are imprisoned at Shells Town's Marine base," He said as Luffy turned to him with Doll listening in, "From what I heard, Zoro is as violent as a demon and three times as horrifying," Koby said as Luffy nodded.
"And this Kuina," Doll asked him.
"Well, they say she is a beast that cannot be stopped, and anything that gets in her way is cut down," Koby said before he gained a scared look after seeing Luffy's face, "Don't tell me that you're going to ask them to join us are you," He asked him.
"Mabey," Luffy said as he snickered
Over in Shells Town with the Mrines base stood two people in the execution yard.
One was a man, and the other was a woman.
