Friends and Neighbors
-End of December 2022/Sometime before New Years-
A 6th foot tall Hispanic man with dark skin, brown eyes, and long black curly hair opened the door to the apartment building which housed the Allen-Kent penthouse. He had a beanie hat on his head.
"Anthony," Kyle said, giving the man a wave from the mailboxes. "Thought you usually got up to your apartment by… other means?"
"Well, I need to grab my own mail every so often. Besides it's kind of chilly out. Climbing the side of the building is not nice in colder weather," Anthony said with a smile, going to his own mailbox. He was a meta human with the ability to climb walls; his hands and feet just stuck to the side, making it that he was able to climb easily. "What's going on there, anyway?" Anthony pointed at the parcels in the lobby at this.
"New neighbors," Kyle said.
"Again, it seems like just yesterday the four new ones moved in. We have a bigger revolving door of people in this place than anywhere else in the city," Anthony said. "Did the Gossip Club get their hooks into them yet?"
Kyle turned to see Maria and Brook were in the party room; Britanee and April were in there too, but Kyle knew his wife was helping Britanee plan a New Year's Eve party for the building. Josh and Aiden had come out of the other elevator and paused at the boxes too. "Not yet," Kyle chuckled.
"They will come to us soon," it was Maria who had gotten up from her spot, having had listened to the two men's conversation. "Everyone wants the lowdown on the Allens when they move in."
"Guess I better hang around to tone down your gossip," Kyle said, remembering when he first moved in very clearly and all the times afterward – he had taken Katherine's place in making sure their most famous neighbors were represented fairly to new neighbors. Kyle noticed Josh and Aiden came over seeming interested and Aida walked in with DJ. The two seeing the group gathered and came over with smiles.
"So, what do we know about the new move-ins?" It was April who asked the group.
"An older couple and a teen, possibly their grandson, along with a dog," Brock was the one who said it.
"That's sweet," Aida said as they saw an older woman come up and go grab some boxes.
"Come on Josh, DJ, let's go offer a hand," Aiden said, and the two boys gave a nod but paused as the door to the Penthouse opened and Amelia came out; she had her cat, Nala, with her and her son, Eric, was following behind, seeming to be giggling as Amelia looked pissed.
"Where is he?" Amelia asked her eyes going to the older woman who had turned. "Nyssa, where is he?"
"Can you be more specific Amelia, sweetie?" Nyssa asked; the Gossip Club seeming shocked at the interaction.
Amelia opened her mouth to say something as a teenage boy came in with his dog. He saw Amelia and made a 180 degree turn in a second. "Jonathan James Kent!" Amelia yelled, her voice getting louder, and he stopped slowly turning around to face Amelia. "Why is there a hole in my bedroom floor?"
"So… you noticed?" Jonny said, giving a laugh.
"Jonny," Nyssa said as her husband came out of the elevator too. "Seg, did you have anything to do with this?"
"First time hearing of it," Seg said.
"I'm waiting," Amelia said and folded her arms at this.
"Well, I thought it would be nicer if we had an easy way to get into the Penthouse instead of coming down here and using the elevator," Jonny said.
"And you choose my bedroom?" Amelia asked, and the dog gave a growl at Amelia probably due to her tone. "Hey Legend, who you growling at? I'll go get your grandpa down here."
"Legend, down, you don't want on the wrong side of Krypto," Jonny said, and the dog stopped growling. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was your bedroom."
"We'll fix it," Seg said to Amelia. "Although wasn't a bad idea…" the two each took a box and went to the elevator as Amelia looked at Nyssa as the two disappeared.
"I'll make sure they don't put anymore holes in your floor," Nyssa said to Amelia.
"Thank you, Nyssa," Amelia said, giving the woman a hug. "Let me know if you need a hand setting anything up?"
Nyssa gave a nod as she took a box, too, and Amelia turned to her son, but as she did she noticed the Gossip Club watching. "Come on Eric," Amelia said holding out a hand which her son took and walked over to Kyle. "Kyle, hope you and April had a good Christmas?"
"It was great," April said with a smile.
"Did you?" Kyle asked.
"Yes, Kara and Barry held our annual Christmas party in their house in Florida – the one by the river in Fort Lauderdale, not the one in Disney. They are still there," Amelia said. "Me and Winn brought Eric, here, to the Magic Kingdom then came back here."
"Mommy got me a lot of Legos," Eric said with a smile. "Pirates."
"We're doing a mother/son Lego project," Amelia said with a smile. "He's very excited about. We saw a video of it online and he asked if we could copy."
"How do you have a son now again…?" Maria asked and Eric gave a look at that.
"I had a kid in college with someone older than me," Amelia said. "At the time I wasn't ready to be a mother, but he wanted to be a father. He died with no one to care for Eric, so I was tracked down. Time has changed. Me and Winn were more than happy to take custody." It was their cover story – they had rehearsed it with Eric a couple of times as well, who took to it as well. "Not that's it any of your business."
"Hold on a second," it was Anthony who said it. "Back to topic closer at hand. You know them?" He nodded to where Seg, Nyssa and Jonny had been.
"You're the guy I see climbing up the side of the building," Amelia said, and Anthony gave a nod. "Cool power and yes, they are relations of Clark; kind of like grandparents to him. Seg is working part-time at STAR Labs now, so Kara and Barry got them the apartment under us when it went for sale."
"Taking more of the building I see," Maria mumbled, and Amelia just rolled her eyes and didn't respond.
"I think that's sweet," Adia said.
"If they need any help…" Josh added.
"Oh, don't worry about them," Amelia said as her cellphone rang. "Hi, Lena, how are you… What do you mean…? Seriously…? Thanks for the heads up." Amelia hung up the phone. "Eric, stay right here with Kyle for a moment."
Kyle raised an eyebrow but put a hand on Eric, so he didn't follow his mother as Amelia went to the front door and looked out. Amelia ran back fast. "You!" Amelia pointed at Aiden. "You're the illusion guy, right?"
"Um… yes," Aiden said, seeming stunned as Amelia talked to him directly.
"Hide me and Eric now," Amelia said.
"What?" Aiden asked as Amelia picked up Eric, who seemed confused.
"Do it," Amelia said, and Aiden blinked but made Amelia and Eric blend into the wall as the doors to the apartment building were blown open.
The group had seen this person on the news before as the person who had attacked STAR Gotham.
"She should be here!" The villain known as Weapons Master called, holding a weapon out as the elevator came down and Jonny and Legend came out.
Jonny and the villain looked at each other for a moment before Jonny dodged to the floor as Weapons Master shot at him. "Well, that elevator is history," Jonny said as Weapon's Master blew out the lift and a weapon was pointed at him again, but Amelia jumped out of the illusion and jumped on his back, Nala hissing and taking a scratch at the villain's face, drawing blood. Jonny jumped up and grabbed the weapon, getting it out of his hand.
Weapons Master tossed Amelia off him, and Anthony caught her as the villain fled, overcome. Aiden let the illusion fall and Eric was in full view, seeming scared.
"Mommy!" Eric said.
"I'm fine," Amelia said. "Thanks for the catch," Anthony gave a nod as Amelia hugged Eric.
"What the hell was that?" Jonny said, still holding the weapon as Legend gave a bark.
"Careful with that," Amelia said. "He attacked Lena this morning. Lena heard him mention coming for me as she got away. Eric, sweetie, we're going to have to put on hold making a Lego Pirates of the Caribbean." Eric gave a nod as Nyssa and Seg came down the stairs. "Nyssa, Seg can you watch Eric?"
"Yes," Nyssa said, looking at the destroyed lift as Eric went over to the older woman, understanding to stay with her. Nala left Amelia and went to rub against Eric, who took the cat.
"Wait, what's going on?" Brock yelled out.
"Guy with weapons attacking STAR Co and L-Corp because… you know what, I don't know and no matter what I tell you I know you will just gossip over the truth and probably text that reporter who we have a restraining order against," Amelia said. "Jonny, with me." Jonny gave a nod and the two ran out with Legend following.
Nyssa asked Gideon to let them into the Penthouse, which the A.I. did and Maria took out her cellphone. "Are you seriously texting that reporter?" Josh asked.
"Restraining order can't stop him from writing a story," Maria said and several people rolled their eyes at that.

Karen had landed in Texas and knocked on the door; KJ was beside her, like he always was, as Tantu opened the door.
"Karen?" Tantu asked, raising an eyebrow. "Get in here before the neighbors see you," KJ ran past Tantu first and into the house, followed by Karen.
"Who was at the… oh, Power Girl," Tantu's husband, Buddy, said. He had their daughter in their arms.
"Karen," Karen said to the man; she barely knew him but that didn't matter since he was Tantu's husband.
"Nice to meet you," Buddy said, nodding his head. "I'm just going to go…" Buddy backed away with his daughter and left the room.
"Is something wrong?" Tantu asked.
"I was hoping to speak to you. I was hoping you'd be at Kara and Barry's Christmas party," Karen said. Karen had focused, since everything with Static, on passing her exams for the end of the semester and figured a lot of people who she needed to talk to would be at Kara and Barry's house. She had managed to talk to several people, who gave her positive results, but Tantu wasn't there. Karen also backed out from asking Sara in public why she wouldn't want her in the League.
"We thought of going, but heading all the way to Florida even with zap tunnels just didn't appeal to us," Tantu said. "We had a nice Christmas at home. Just the three of us. So, speak to me? No offense, but I barely know you."
"I am aware," Karen said. "To make this short I am trying to get the support I need to get into the Justice League."
"Ah," Tantu said. "And you are recruiting my vote? Why do you think I would be for you?"
"I think the opposite," Karen said. "Rose told me you would be a vote against me, and you would bring the other Totem Bearers in the League against me."
"Oh," Tantu said, surprised. "So, you're pitching me why you would be good?"
"I want to know why you would be against it first?" Karen asked.
"You're a lone wolf," Tantu said after thinking it over for a moment, surprising Karen. "If, when you were in Young Justice is any indication, you don't do well taking orders. You are a great hero. I mean, the war with Atlantis proved that but overall, I think your path is not with the League. Everyone has their own path in life – something I learned while I was away. My path brought me back to my people to learn our past but ultimately led me back here where I belong. The other Totem Bearers, originally, I thought when we found them all they would all enter the League, but Amelia and Lena have no intention of it. They will help when needed but they have their own lives. Ava wants the DEO not the League. Only two others belong in the League with me, and I learned that was okay. You need to find your own path in life."
"What if this is my path?" Karen pointed out.
"Is it, though? Or are you still trying to trace Kara's footprints?" Tantu asked and that shocked Karen enough for her to take a step back – even KJ looked up at that. "You have the same DNA as her but you're not the same person. Kara forged the League and will lead it until the day she dies, more than likely. Joining the League is following in the footsteps of her, but you will never be her. You will never be the leader of the League. You will never be Supergirl."
"I don't want to be Supergirl. I'm Power Girl," Karen said. "Maybe at one time your concerns would be valid, but I know I am not a leader now."
"And you will be happy just being a member? Taking orders?" Tantu said.
"Yes, because I will be doing what I am born to do. Protecting this planet," Karen said. "The best place to do that is inside the Justice League."
Tantu looked at Karen for a moment and Karen wondered what she was thinking. Then Tantu's cellphone started to ring.
"Amelia," Tantu said after looking at the caller ID and answering the phone. It was a moment later when she spoke again. "What do you mean the Totem Bearers are under attack?" Karen raised an eyebrow. "Be there soon."
Tantu hung up the phone. "Weapons Master?" Karen asked and Tantu gave a nod. "Where are you going? I can help."
"L-Corp has a space in the Wasteland near Central where they test equipment. It has become a Totem Bearer meeting place," Tantu said, and Karen gave a nod as she called KJ to follow her, and the two left.

In the meeting room, the group known as the Gossip Club were gossiping.
"Look at that," Maria said pointing at the doors which were now broken. "We're between Christmas and New Years. Who is going to come and fix that? Or the elevator? What are we going to do, walk up the stairs?"
"There is a second elevator," Kyle pointed out. He, Josh, and DJ had moved some of Nyssa, Seg, and Jonny's boxes out of the way so no one would accidentally ruin anything,
"And who exactly fixes this?" Brock asked.
"There is a number to call," April pointed out.
"It is a little scary they got attacked," Britanee said. "But also, not completely unexpected. They are powerful people. It was bound to happen eventually."
"And at least they have the numbers to the Justice League," Aiden pointed. "They have a relationship, of sorts. I am sure Amelia and Jonny ran out to get their attention."
"Yeah, you'd think Kara and Barry were Supergirl and the Flash with how much STAR Co. does for the Justice League," Maria said, and then laughed. "Sorry, those two being superheroes is so ridiculous."
"Besides, they have been saved by the two a number of times," Anthony pointed out.
At that, a couple of people came in through the broken front door. They seemed to be inspecting it.
"So much for no one coming until the New Year," Kyle said, but was kind of confused as well.
"Hey, who are you?" Maria called out to them.
"STAR Co," the man said, holding out a STAR Labs I.D. card. "The Allens called me and asked if I could take some time away from my holiday to install out new doors in the front here and see if we can install our new transport cos of the broken elevator." The man looked over the door some more then went over to the clearly broken elevator. "Yeah, me and the boys will have the doors installed and hooked up to Gideon in a few hours. The elevator won't get done until after the holiday, sadly."
The man walked back outside but returned a minute later with more people who were starting to install something.
"Seems Kara and Barry are taking care of this themselves," April said, and the group looked over to Maria and Brock.
"Well, that's only right of them," Maria mumbled, and Brock gave a nod.

When Karen, Tantu, and KJ arrived at the L-Corp spot, they were the last to arrive. Karen had expected to see the other Totem Bearers but was surprised to see Jonny and his dog, Legend. The puppy gave an excited bark and ran over to KJ; the older dog seemed taken back by his nephew's energy and Karen had to give a giggle at that.
Tantu went over to the other five Totem Bearers as Jonny came over to her.
"What are you doing here?" Jonny asked.
"I was going to ask you the same question," Karen said with a smile. She was fond of her sort-of nephew.
"I was with Amelia when she got attacked. She told me to come," Jonny said.
"I was with Tantu," Karen said. "Trying to plead my case to get into the Justice League."
"Oh yeah, I heard you were trying to get in. Maybe we both will eventually. Kara and Barry made comments I should work my way into the League when they dubbed me Overdrive," Jonny said with a smile and Karen tried not to make a face – it stung a little Kara and Barry had suggested it to Jonny when she Karen had to prove to them that she was ready.
"Can I ask you something?" Karen asked, an idea forming in her head.
"Well, you just did, but you can ask me something else," Jonny said, and Karen rolled her eyes at the joke.
"You are not just from another world but from a future from another world," Karen stated.
"Yeah, I was with the Legends when Crisis, came about. Reason for my dog's name," Jonny said as the dog barked at the use of his name.
"And your world was a lot like ours," Karen said, and Jonny nodded. "Did… did you have a Karen?"
"Um… we did," Jonny said, seeming nervous as Karen asked this.
"Did she ever get into your Earth's Justice League?" Karen asked.
"She didn't," Jonny said, and Karen gave a frown. "She never had the chance..." Karen raised an eyebrow. "She was killed by General Zod and his sons Quex and Weg," Karen took another step back in shock as KJ gave a low growl. "The three were very into Krypton purity and, even though you're almost hundred percent Kryptonian, the small human DNA you have in you made you unacceptable to them. They ganged up on you and killed you before Aunt Kara and Uncle Barry showed up to save you. Dad, Uncle Dean, and Aunt Kara were mad. So were mom and Uncle Barry – not to mention the three tried to kill all of us as well. I can still remember Quex come to the farm to get me. Mom wasn't having any of that. She destroyed him."
"Wow," Karen said. "When was this exactly? Past or future from this point."
"Well, I was about 8 at the time so if Jason is 12 now and I am 6 years younger than him so in two years' time," Jonny calculated and then paused. "Any idea if the Zods are about on this world…?"
"General Zod, I know Clark defeated him before Kara was even a hero. He's in a DEO holding cell along with his wife, who is apparently the real Zod. He's just married in," Karen said. "And I did some Kryptonian research into the noble houses for a Kryptonian history book I want to make eventually, and I don't remember a Quex on the family tree. Weg was there."
"Might be worth mentioning to Aunt Kara, Uncle Barry, and Uncle Clark just in case," Jonny said, and Karen gave a nod – there was a possible threat out there, not just to herself but to all part-Kryptonians - even if it was a minor possibility they should know.
KJ and Legend both gave a bark indicating to Karen and Jonny something had happened. The noise of an obvious fight breaking out was also a clue as the two jumped up – while they had been talking the Totem Bearers had been doing some reconnaissance, considering Weapons Master was after them, and it seemed he had arrived. Weapons Master was there perched on his giant robot and the Totem Bearers had responded.
With the Totem Bearers in battle with Weapons Master, Jonny was already running towards them to help.
Karen was about to jump in as well but remember Tantu's criticism that she was a lone wolf. So, she ran with Jonny and Legend, joining Amelia and Lena. Jonny threw lightning at the weapons Xotar was sending out. "Tantu, where do you want me?" Karen asked, running over. KJ near her.
"See what you can do to distract him. We're going to take the robot out," Tantu said, giving the Totem Bearers a subtle indication and Karen remembered Christmas only a year ago. The Totem Bearers had combined to make a Giant Snoopy to take on the Kraken.
"Got it," Karen said, jumping up into the air with KJ, with Jonny and Legend joining her. "Hey Xotar, right over here!" The self-proclaimed Weapons Master gave a smirk as he started on Karen and Jonny.
"Oh, so full of pride, you two, but not seeing you are doing exactly what I wanted," Xotar said as Karen dodged an attack, with Jonny, rushing at him.
That made Karen pause, and she turned. The Totem Bearers had connected hands, and the robot was moving – with some type of weapon. "Overdrive!" Karen said at that moment. "Grab the Totem Bearers. This is a trap!" Jonny, like any speedster, was fast in turning from the fight. Legend and KJ stopped Weapons Master from following Jonny and Karen stepped in as well to fight Xotar.
Jonny rushed at the six members, grabbing Amelia, and forcing her away from them.
"Get back!" Jonny yelled as he hit the ground to force more of them back just as the robot's weapons hit where they would have been – the weapons shocked wave threw them all back.
"I am seeing you too much," Xotar scalded Karen. "Stay out of my way!" Xotar disappeared in a teleport and Karen knew he was in the robot, which now moved away – fast – from them.
Karen was confused on why Xotar didn't even seem to want to hurt her at all, but turned to the group on the ground, landing with the two dogs. Legend, the puppy, jumping on Jonny right away and licking his face.
"You're a good boy," Jonny said giving him a pet.
"Everyone okay?" Karen asked, looking at the Totem Bearers.
There were five yeses from Amelia, Mick, Tantu, Thea, and Ava.
"Something's wrong with my Totem…" Lena said, holding out the Air Totem. The gem was cracked, and the color seemed to be off. It wasn't working at all for Lena.
"Give it to me," Jonny said, and everyone looked at him. "I don't know why but I know you need to hand it to me now..." Lena handed over the Totem without question and once in Jonny's hand, lightning appeared from his hands, and went into the Totem.
"It's powered by the Speed Force," Lena mumbled, and everyone had an idea of what Jonny was doing.
After a few moments, the lightning disappeared, and the Totem looked normal again – even if Jonny seemed exhausted. Lena took back the Totem and tested it, throwing out an air blast and smiling.
"Everyone, check your Totems," Tantu instructed, and all the five checked but all Totems were working. "Seems whatever that weapon was, it was designed to hurt the Totems. If Jonny hadn't pulled us away all of them would need repair."
"Karen the one who realized in time," Jonny said, making eyes turn to her.
"Team effort," Karen said giving Tantu a wink and Tantu gave a smirk. She knew why Karen had said it that way.
"I'm not completely convinced you are a perfect candidate for the League," Tantu said, not hiding it, "but today made me unsure. I'm not a definite no, anymore. You continue doing well and enough people want you in, well then it can be a yes."
Karen wasn't thrilled the change wasn't a complete yes, but at least she had lost a definite no today. "Well, you have me," Thea said to Karen and Karen gave a smile; it seems Tantu no was no longer going over to Thea. "Mick," Mick gave a shrug and a grunt.
"That's the best answer you will get from him," Ava said, making the group laugh. "Maybe we should get out of here in case Weapon Masters returns to see if his weapon worked." That got the group to separate, with Jonny taking hold of Amelia and flying away with Legend. Several Totem Bearers moved to cars and Tantu using her Totem to fly like a bird and leave.
Karen was the last there with KJ.
"Well, it was something," Karen said to her dog, who gave a whine before they, too, left.

Back at the Penthouse, and after the STAR Co. workers had replaced the broken door and cordoned off the broken elevator, the Gossip Club was free to continue gossiping. The topic moving from the attack to Jason, knowing the boy had moved in with the Allens for unknown reasons.
"I tell you, that kid has to be dangerous," Maria was saying.
"That school transport does sometimes look like a prison van," Anthony admitted.
"He goes to Hardcastle School for Troubled Boys," Brock said. "That is definitely one-step below juvie. And here so soon after what happened with his mother…"
"You can't seriously think Jason had something to do with that?" It was Aiden who said it before Kyle could. "I mean the kid is like 12. He still seems tiny. With all the dangerous people Lois Lane has reported on, you predict her own son was the one who hurt her."
"The kid is very grumpy," Aida admitted.
"I've got to agree with Aiden here," April said. "I am sure the kid has done many different things that got him into this school, but I doubt he hurt his mother."
"When he was a kid, he was so sweet," Britanee said, remembering the few times she'd seen the young Jason.
Before more could be said, the new door slid open and in came Amelia and Jonny with Legend.
"Nice. New door," Amelia said.
"I think it's Gideon who works as the doorman," Jonny said. "That's kind of awesome."
Amelia and Jonny looked over and saw the boxes neatly arranged.
"We put the boxes to the side for you," Kyle said, and Amelia gave him a smile. "If you need help getting them up to your apartment, Josh, DJ, Aiden, and myself could help."
"Thanks, but I got it. I'll stack them into the working elevator and bring them up. We don't really have much anyway," Jonny said and pushed the button for the working elevator. It came down and DJ jumped forward, putting his hand on the door to keep it open as Jonny packed the elevator with the boxes. Legend staying by his master's feet.
"So, what's up with Jason?" Maria asked as Amelia was about to head for the Penthouse elevator once the boxes were loaded in the normal working one.
"What?" Amelia asked, pausing.
"We're all curious," Maria said.
"Well curiosity killed the cat. It isn't any of your business," Amelia said.
"If he's a danger, we should know," Brock said.
"There must be something you can tell us," Britanee added.
"All I can say is Kara and Barry have him under close watch and nothing else," Amelia said, cautiously.
"Is he here now with them gone?" Aida asked.
"No, he went back to Metropolis for the holiday," Amelia said, wondering to herself how the boy was doing with his mother, father, and sister. He knew Connor and Morgan were there with Musty and Goofy to keep the boy in check along with his own father. "And that is all I will say," Amelia saw Jonny had finished and went up, so Amelia excused herself and left to the Penthouse.
"Well, now that this seems over, I think I am going to go climb up the building to get to my apartment," Anthony said, going to walk out the front and stopped for a moment to take in the new door.
"April, ready?" Kyle asked his wife who nodded and the two went for the stairs as the group started breaking up, leaving only Maria and Brock in the party room.

Karen was at the Sanctuary with her journal. KJ was with the meta dog he had taken a liking to. She had spent some of Christmas with Astra and Ha, back at the apartment over the garage. She had tried to talk to Sara, but the woman was too occupied with the triplets and the holiday that Karen decided to try in the New Year and return to her apartment.
Well today was an intense day. Karen wrote in her journal. I went to get Tantu's vote for the League and ended up in another Weapons Master fight. He had targeted several of the Totem Bearers alone to get them together where he planned to use one of his weird weapons to hurt their Totems. Jonny pushed them away and only Lena's was hurt, but Jonny managed to repair it due to Speed Force energy. The Totems Bearers are ready to go Giant Snoopy again – or whatever form they choose in the future. Plus, I think I might have convinced Tantu…
Karen paused as Katherine, better known as Froggy to the Super Family, came up.
"Ah so KJ is the one who has been with Buffy," Froggy said. "I have been wondering."
"Buffy?" Karen asked. "Oh, that's the dog's name. Yeah, KJ been coming here for a while to see her. Is that a problem?" Karen asked.
"No, except that Buffy is pregnant," Froggy said, and Karen raised an eyebrow.
"No… It can't be KJ. He's a Kryptonian," Karen said.
"Well, speaking logically, it's very clear Krypton and Daxam followed a similar evolutionary line as…" Froggy stopped, seeing Karen's face. "If Earth Humanoids and Kryptonian Humanoids can have babies there is no reason Earth Dogs and Kryptonian Dogs can't have babies."
"Oh," Karen said, getting it.
"I'll do a genetic test when the puppies come to see, but with the way those two are snuggling, good money is on KJ being the father," Froggy said giving Karen a smile and walking away. Karen turned back to her journal.
In other news seems KJ has gotten his meta dog girlfriend pregnant. She chuckled at this. I wonder if Kara and Barry will give some of these pups to the multiverse? Puppy Round Up… what is it, 4.0 by this point.
-Karry Universe-
Xotar was back at his makeshift base, looking at the journal smirking as he read…
Well today was an intense day. I went to get Tantu vote for the League and ended up in another Weapons Master fight. He had targeted several of the Totem Bearers alone to get them together where he planned to use a weapon to hurt their Totems. Unfortunately, the Totems are damaged. Barry and Jonny are going to take them to the Forces that power them to repair them but it will take time… The Totems Bearers are not going to be ready to go Giant Snoopy again anytime soon.
Xotar stopped reading, not interested in Karen's need to get into the Justice League or KJ's pups. The Totems Bearers together were a big threat. They could destroy his robot and that would not be good. Now they were taken care of, and he was one step forward to his fight with the leaders themselves.
Of course, he couldn't take out the Totems entirely, because they were still operational by his time in the 31st Century, but it was something to make sure he stopped them, even temporarily, in this century.
-Karry Universe-
Kara and Barry were in their second house in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kent was thrilled to be back here and kept wanting to sit outside and say hi to all the boats that passed. This was clearly his favorite house, not including the Penthouse.
Romana had continued with her playing of the guitar outside for the tour boat, concentrating on Christmas music. The two knew Romana and Star had a fondness for their Lake House though, while Alura and Nora kept asking to go to their Disney house, clearly taking after their aunt.
"Glad Jonny was there to fix Lena's Totem," Kara said after the two were informed of the event of the day. "And that Gideon got sorted a repair to the entrance to our building."
"Yeah, this could have been a lot worse," Barry said. "How's Jason doing at home?"
He's grumpy, but good. Kara said though their Bond. He doesn't like the new house from what I hear – too far from his old and new friends, Kara thought back. Friends who apparently didn't answer his calls… I think Supergirl picking him up has scared them away.
Good, Barry thought back. He's still coming back to us, right?
Yeah, Clark doesn't think it's a good idea to keep him there permanently yet. Just in case his grumpiest ends with a tantrum again. I'm not even sure Clark is keen to have him now, but needs must, Kara thought, and Barry gave a nod. Jason has been on and off with being good to being bad was a problem for another day.
Post Chapter Note: Well, I hope you guys liked this surprise fourth neighbor chapter – although it was half-and-half with the neighbors gossiping being half the chapter, and the Totems/Karen being the other half – but was also a complete surprise for our Facebookers and added new character Anthony. Also, Maria, we love you and we hope you love your namesake here.
