Chapter 13: The Hunt Is On

March 5, 1872

It was a Tuesday morning. At Scarlett's palace in Cinnibar, Colette walked a white man with short dark hair into Scarlett's study.

"A gentleman to see you, Scarlett," Colette announced.

"Ah!" Scarlett smiled. "You must be Aaron Browne."

"Yes, Queen Scarlett," the man acknowledged as he bowed.

"You may leave us, Colette," Scarlett directed. "Mister Browne and I have business to discuss."

"Of course, Scarlett," Colette acknowledged as she left Scarlett's study.

"I take it you have the item?" Scarlett asked Aaron.

"I do indeed, Queen Scarlett," Aaron confirmed as he brought out a talisman.

"The Tiger Talisman," Scarlett observed. "As promised, you will be rewarded well."

"I already have my reward," Aaron smiled with a wicked grin as he pulled the two pieces of the Tiger Talisman apart. As Aaron pulled the two pieces apart, Scarlett found herself split into two people - an evil version of herself, and a good version of herself.

"Free!" the evil Scarlett exclaimed in glee as she clapped her hands and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

"What have you done?!" the good Scarlett demanded to know of Aaron.

"I've put a monkey wrench into your search for the talismans," Aaron explained. "With your evil self on the loose, you and your friends will have your hands full looking for her. And, with that, you won't have time to search for more talismans."

"Who are you?" Scarlett wanted to know as she started to become weak from being split into two people.

"My name is Drake," Aaron introduced himself as he brought out a silver Omni. "I'm a time traveler."

"I've heard of you," Scarlett remembered as she started to get light-headed. "Violet's told me about you."

"I imagine she has," Drake chuckled in victory as he put the two pieces of the Tiger Talisman into his coat pocket. "Time for me to be leaving. Give my regards to those meddling Coopers."

Drake set the dials on his Omni. Scarlett lunged toward Drake but found herself fainting before she could reach him.

"Nice try, Queen Scarlett," Drake smiled as he pressed a button on his Omni and disappeared into thin air.

In a little while, Scarlett woke to discover Colette standing over her.

"Scarlett!" Colette exclaimed in panic. "Scarlett! Can you hear me?"

"I can hear you, Colette," Scarlett responded as Colette helped Scarlett up.

"What happened?" Colette wanted to know.

Scarlett recounted what happened with Drake and the Tiger Talisman.

"So you're telling me there are two of you now?" Colette asked in disbelief.

"Yes," Scarlett confirmed. "And my double is the dark side of myself. She could be capable of anything."

"I'll put the guards on alert immediately," Colette promised.

"And contact Violet," Scarlett urged. "Enchancia Castle needs to be warned in case my double shows up there. Also, contact all the other kingdoms and warn them that a double of me is on the loose and that she should be considered dangerous, but don't mention the details on how this happened."

"Yes, Scarlett," Colette acknowledged as she left Scarlett's study.

A while later, at Enchancia Castle, Violet gathered Dorrie, Candice, Sofia, Lucinda, Amber, and Abby in The Secret Library to tell them what had happened to Scarlett.

"So, you're telling us there is an evil version of Scarlett running around?" Amber asked Violet.

"Yes, Princess Amber," Violet confirmed.

"So, what do we do now?" Sofia wanted to know.

"We play it by ear, Princess Sofia," Violet advised. "I'm on my way to tell King Roland what has happened ... or at least a watered-down version of what has happened."

"Come again?" Lucinda questioned.

"King Roland can be told about the search for talismans, but we have to keep our time traveling a secret," Violet answered. "King Roland doesn't know we're Voyagers. Best to keep it that way for now."

"Agreed, Violet," Sofia acknowledged as everybody else nodded their heads yes in agreement.

"What about Drake?" Dorrie wanted to know. "He still has the Tiger Talisman. We need that to put Scarlett back together as it were."

"One thing at a time," Violet stated. "After I'm done informing King Roland about the situation, I'll contact Voyager Command about Drake."

After meeting with Dorrie, Candice, Sofia, Lucinda, Amber, and Abby, Violet made her way to King Roland's study. Violet then knocked on Roland's door.

"Enter," Roland directed.

Violet opened the door and walked in.

"Ah! Violet," Roland smiled. "What may I do for you?"

"I've received a crystal ball message from Lady Colette," Violet reported. "There's been an incident at Queen Scarlett's palace."

"What kind of incident?" Roland wanted to know, curious.

"A man used a magical talisman to split Queen Scarlett into two people," Violet started. "One of these people is good, and the other is evil. The evil one managed to escape, and is now roaming free."

"An evil Scarlett," Roland thought out loud. "She could pose a danger to anybody she comes across."

"Yes, King Roland," Violet agreed. "Lady Colette, on the orders of the good Queen Scarlett, wanted Enchancia to be the first to know. All the other kingdoms are being informed as well."

"Well, at least all the kingdoms will be forewarned," Roland said, grateful. "What about the man who did this to Scarlett?"

"He escaped as well," Violet answered.

"I'll need to ready the guards," Roland indicated. "Please find Sofia, tell her of the situation, and have her contact the Protector Council on the Mystic Isles. We'll need all the help we can get to battle an evil Scarlett if it comes to that."

"Princess Sofia already knows about the situation," Violet reported. "I encountered her as I was coming here. I'll have her contact the Protector Council immediately."

"Very good, Violet," Roland acknowledged. "By the way, how did this man get access to Scarlett in the first place?"

"Queen Scarlett has been looking for various talismans to keep them from falling into the wrong hands," Violet informed Roland. "The man had such a talisman, and he used that as a means to meet with Queen Scarlett. Of course, what I've just told you should be considered privileged information. The other kingdoms are only being told there's a double of Queen Scarlett on the loose, and that's it."

"I see," Roland said in acknowledgment.

"I've better find Princess Sofia and have her carry out your orders," Violet said as she left Roland's study.

That afternoon

At Scarlett's palace in Cinnibar, the good Queen Scarlett was resting in bed as Colette, Hematite, and Faith stood at Scarlett's bedside.

"I'm the only one who can defeat her," Scarlett said to Colette, Hematite, and Faith.

"How?" Hematite asked.

"This evil Scarlett is not a clone like Candice is," Scarlett pointed out. "The Tiger Talisman represents spiritual balance. Within each and every soul on the planet lie conflicting forces. Yin and yang. Light and dark. Good and evil. The Tiger Talisman has the power to separate these forces from each other and then join them again."

"So you're saying ..." Faith began.

"That Scarlett is nothing more than the yang to my yin. We're two halves of the same whole. We have the same thoughts, the same memories, the same powers, everything. We're just different aspects of the same personality."

"We can help," Colette offered. "You're obviously weaker due to being split from her. It stands to reason that she should be weaker as well."

"You make a good point, Colette," Scarlett agreed.

Meanwhile, at Enchancia Castle, Violet had called Dorrie and Candice into her office.

"Ladies," Violet started, "Voyager Command has requested your presence. They've also requested that you travel there using your Tardis."

"Our Tardis?" Dorrie asked, taken off guard.

"Yes," Violet confirmed.

"Why have us travel there by Tardis?" Candice wanted to know, curious.

"I don't know," Violet admitted. "Voyager Command is keeping tight lipped on that. All I know is that they want the two of you and your Tardis there as soon as possible. I've written down the exact coordinates they want you to land at."

"Understood, Mom," Dorrie acknowledged as she took a piece of paper from Violet.

In a little while, Dorrie and Candice's Tardis landed at the coordinates given to them by Voyager Command. As Dorrie and Candice stepped out of the Tardis, they noticed that Commissioner Richardson and a small group of men were waiting for them.

"Lady Dorrie, Lady Candice, thank you for coming on such short notice," Richardson started. "Normally, we wouldn't have you come to such a high-security area, but the situation with Drake demands it."

"Understood, Sir," Dorrie acknowledged.

"We need the two of you to track down Drake using your Tardis," Richardson explained.

"Excuse me for asking, Sir," Candice started, "but why not use your own Tardis?"

"There's something you need to know," Richardson answered. "We can't use any high profile assets like our Tardis to track down Drake. The truth is, Drake has followers here at Voyager Command."

"Surely not!" Dorrie exclaimed in shock as Candice gasped.

"I'm afraid so," Richardson confirmed. "We've known of their existence for a while now, but we don't know who they are. They stick to the shadows as it were. They've already thwarted a few of our attempts to capture Drake by warning him in advance. So we've decided to act in secret this time. Find him, capture him, and bring him back here."

"Excuse me, Sir," Candice started. "I've been made aware of a future where Drake is still on the loose."

"We know about that future, Lady Candice," Richardson revealed. "We've done computer simulations on what effect capturing Drake now would have on the future. All simulations suggest that capturing Drake now would not impact the future in a major way."

"Understood, Sir," Candice acknowledged. "What about the Tiger Talisman? Dorrie and I need it to restore Queen Scarlett to normal."

"We've already taken that into consideration," Richardson said as he handed Candice a piece of paper. "These are a few leads we've come up with regarding the present whereabouts of Drake."

"These leads will come in handy, Sir," Dorrie acknowledged, grateful. "Candice and I will get on these immediately."

"The men here are a special security team," Richardson explained. "They will travel with you in your Tardis and help you to capture Drake."

"Backup," Candice smiled. "Thank you. Just one request, Sir."

"And what would that be, Lady Candice?" Richardson asked, curious.

"I'll need technical information on Drake's Omni," Candice requested. "I plan to build a special Sonic Screwdriver that will be able to short out Drake's Omni ... should it come to that. Knowing how his Omni works would allow me to short it out while keeping our newer Omnis functional."

"Candice has become quite the engineering expert," Dorrie smiled at Richardson.

"I thought you might be asking for something like that, Lady Candice," Richardson said as he handed Candice an electronic notepad containing technical information on Drake's Omni. "As you can see, Drake's Omni is old-fashioned by our current standards and works quite differently from the Omnis we use now. Shorting it out while not affecting current Omnis will be, as they say, a piece of cake."

"Thank you, Sir," Candice acknowledged.

"You, Lady Dorrie, and your security team should be leaving right away," Richardson advised. "Good hunting."

"Thank you, Sir," Dorrie said as she motioned to the security team. "If you'll follow Candice and me, we'll get underway. You should know that our Tardis is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside."

"We're well aware of that," one of the men happily acknowledged. "We've served in the past on Voyager Command's Tardis."

"Excellent," Dorrie smiled.

"There are two other people who are coming with you," Richardson announced to Dorrie and Candice as he motioned a white 61-year-old man and a black 29-year-old man over.

"Graham! Ryan!" Candice exclaimed in glee.

"The two of you are ... Voyagers?" Dorrie asked, not quite believing what she was seeing.

"Well, when Ryan and I left The Doctor, we decided to go back to a normal life ... or at least that was the plan," 61-year-old Graham answered.

"A few months after we left The Doctor, we were approached by Voyager Command about becoming Voyagers," 29-year-old Ryan explained.

"And we figured, what the heck," Graham smiled.

"Since Graham and Ryan are familiar with Tardis travel, I figured they would make a fine addition to your team," Richardson informed Dorrie and Candice.

"Graham, Ryan," Candice happily started, "welcome aboard."

"It's good to have you here," Dorrie smiled at Graham and Ryan. "We've better get going."

Dorrie, Candice, Graham, Ryan, and the security team stepped into Dorrie and Candice's Tardis and closed the Tardis door behind them. In a few moments, the Tardis vanished into thin air on its way after Drake.

"God speed," Richardson thought to himself as he walked away from where Dorrie and Candice's Tardis had been.

Back at Enchancia Castle, King Roland was in his study when Baileywick walked in.

"Your Majesty," Baileywick announced. "Mrs. Greythorn is here as requested."

"Send her in, Baileywick," Roland directed.

"Yes, Your Majesty," Baileywick acknowledged as he directed Mrs. Greythorn to come in. Baileywick then left Roland's study and shut the door behind him.

"Marcella," Roland smiled at Mrs. Greythorn. "Please, have a seat."

"Thank you, Your Majesty," Mrs. Greythorn responded with a curtsy as she sat down.

"Did Baileywick explain the situation to you?" Roland wanted to know.

"Yes, Your Majesty," Mrs. Greythorn answered. "Some evil double of Queen Scarlett is wandering around. Quite frightening."

"Indeed, it is," Roland agreed. "I need you and your experience, Marcella."

"That was a while ago, Your Majesty," Mrs. Greythorn quietly pointed out. "My husband died, and then a few years later my birth daughter died from the great illness. I needed time to myself, so I left the service."

"You were one of the best attack broom squadron leaders in the Enchancian Navy," Roland praised. "You have command experience. And somebody with command experience is what I need right now."

"What are you asking of me, Your Majesty?" Mrs. Greythorn asked, curious.

"I want you to be involved with this Scarlett double business," Roland explained. "I realize that you have a business and an adopted daughter to think of. I'd like you to return to service in a reserve capacity. After this business is over with, you could return to running your business and raising your adopted daughter, and hopefully, be available to serve when emergency situations come up."

"You make a tempting offer, Your Majesty," Mrs. Greythorn mused. "I've started to miss service. But, I do have my adopted daughter to think of. What if something happened to me?"

"I promise you, Marcella, that your adopted daughter would be raised here in the castle should the unthinkable happen," Roland promised.

"That's most kind, Your Majesty," Mrs. Greythorn gratefully acknowledged.

"So, what is your decision, Marcella?" Roland wanted to know.

"If you need my service, then I am more than happy to serve, Your Majesty," Mrs. Greythorn answered.

"Great," Roland smiled. "I hereby restore your rank of Commander, effective immediately."

"Thank you, Your Majesty," Mrs. Greythorn responded, grateful. "All I have to do is to find a place where Lynn can stay while I'm gone."

"Let me make that easy on you, Marcella," Roland started. "Lynn can stay here at the castle during your absence. We'd be happy to have her."

"You're very gracious, Your Majesty," Mrs. Greythorn said, pleased. "Thank you."

"You're quite welcome, Commander Greythorn," Roland happily acknowledged.

March 6, 1872

It was a Wednesday morning at Enchancia Castle. In King Roland's study, Roland was meeting with nineteen-year-old Amber, eighteen-year-old Sofia, eighteen-year-old Lucinda, and eighteen-year-old Abby.

"As adult Protectors, I'm assigning you to help track down the evil version of Scarlett," Roland announced to Amber, Sofia, Lucinda, and Abby.

"Excuse me, Father, but where are Dorrie and Candice?" Amber wanted to know.

"Violet has informed me that Dorrie and Candice are hunting down Drake," Roland answered.

"You know about Drake?!" Sofia asked, taken off guard.

"Last night, Violet was instructed by Voyager Command to bring me up to speed on what is going on," Roland revealed. "I know that the four of you are Voyagers, along with Violet, Dorrie, and Candice. You should know I am very proud of all of you."

"Thank you, Father," Amber acknowledged, pleased. "You're not mad at us for keeping our status a secret?"

"No," Roland admitted. "I can understand the need for secrecy where your Voyager activities are concerned. I will keep your status as Voyagers a secret between you, me, and Queen Miranda."

"Then you know that Mom knew of our status?" Sofia asked, curious.

"Oh, yes," Roland smiled. "Violet brought me up to speed on everything. Who knew that the First Story Keeper had a Tardis he gifted to Dorrie and Candice?"

Amber, Sofia, Lucinda, and Abby smiled back in acknowledgment as a knock came at Roland's door.

"Enter," Roland invited.

The door opened and in walked nineteen-year-old James.

"Could you come back later, James?" Roland requested. "We're in the middle of a private discussion."

"You'll want to hear what I have to say, Dad," James announced. "You'll all want to hear what I have to say, considering that we're revealing secrets."

Everybody gathered looked in shock at James as he brought out ... a silver Omni.

"You're ... a Voyager?" Amber asked James, taken off guard.

"I got my full certification as a Voyager a year before the rest of you," James revealed. "I was recruited specifically to be an agent for Department Fourteen's Special Assignments Division. I've been instructed by my superiors to reveal myself to you."

"Oh, James!" Amber happily exclaimed. "You're a Voyager, too!"

"Now we'll get to work together," James smiled.

"Well, congratulations, James," Sofia happily acknowledged. "I know of Department Fourteen, but what is the Special Assignments Division?"

"The Special Assignments Division works behind the scenes, correcting high profile time zones that have been messed up," James explained. "We've been cleaning up changes that Drake has caused throughout time."

"Well, well, well," Roland smiled. "All my children are Voyagers."

"We've better be going," Sofia advised. "We need to track down the evil Scarlett."

"And I'll need to be meeting up with Dorrie, Candice, and their security team," James revealed. "I've been given time coordinates where Dorrie, Candice, and their security team will be showing up."

"Good hunting to all of you," Roland said to everybody gathered. "Commander Greythorn will be waiting for you in the throne room."

"Commander Greythorn?" Sofia asked, taken off guard.

"Yes, Commander Greythorn," Roland confirmed. "The same woman who you know as Mrs. Greythorn who runs Greythorns. She used to be an attack broom squadron leader. She will be going with you to search for the evil double of Scarlett."

A short while later, Amber, Sofia, Lucinda, and Abby gathered in the castle throne room where Mrs. Greythorn was waiting.

"Ladies," Mrs. Greythorn greeted. "I have been put in charge of this operation. For the duration of this operation, you may address me as Commander Greythorn."

"Yes, Commander Greythorn," Amber, Sofia, Lucinda, and Abby acknowledged.

"Princess Sofia, Princess Lucinda, Lady Abby," Mrs. Greythorn started, "the three of you are witches, so flying attack brooms should be no problem for you. Princess Amber, if I may ask, do you have any experience flying brooms?"

"I do, Commander Greythorn," Amber answered. "I've been trained in broom riding at Hexley Hall. I've also been trained to fly and use attack brooms. I received A's in both broom riding and attack broom use."

"Excellent," Mrs. Greythorn smiled. "I would have thought that Lady Dorrie and Lady Candice would be joining us."

"They are on a side mission involving this operation," Violet announced as she walked up with an attack broom. "I've been assigned to go with the five of you. I have experience using attack brooms."

"Then I shall be honored to have you along, Lady Violet," Mrs. Greythorn happily acknowledged. "Princess Amber, Princess Sofia, Princess Lucinda, Lady Abby - in the corner you'll find attack brooms for each of you. Enchancian Intelligence has received information that the evil double of Queen Scarlett has been spotted near the Belltree Forest here in Enchancia. I suggest we be on our way."

"Yes, Commander," Violet, Amber, Sofia, Lucinda, and Abby responded.

Elsewhere in Enchancia Castle, eleven-year-old Hikari and thirteen-year-old Lynn were looking out a window when they spotted Violet, Amber, Sofia, Lucinda, Abby, and Mrs. Greythorn flying away on their brooms.

"Good luck, Mom," Lynn said to herself. "Be safe".

"I'm sure everything will be okay, Lynn," Hikari said in a reassuring voice. "From what I understand, your mother is well experienced. She knows how to look after herself."

"Most kind, Princess," Lynn acknowledged, grateful. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Hikari smiled as Baileywick entered the room where Hikari and Lynn were.

"Ladies, there's tea and scones waiting for the two of you in the sitting room," Baileywick announced.

"Thank you, Baileywick," Hikari happily responded. "We'll head down there now."

Back in Dorrie and Candice's Tardis, Dorrie was manning the Tardis control room by herself when Graham walked in.

"An impressive Tardis you and Candice have," Graham praised.

"Thank you, Graham," Dorrie responded, pleased. "What are the others up to?"

"The security team has been assigned quarters, and Ryan is keeping Candice company as she builds a special Sonic Screwdriver to deal with Drake's Omni."

"Everything going according to plan," Dorrie smiled.

"Since we're alone, there's something I'd like to talk to you about," Graham requested.

"Of course," Dorrie agreed as she and Graham started talking.

In the Belltree Forest

Violet, Amber, Sofia, Lucinda, Abby, and Mrs. Greythorn arrived on the edge of the Belltree Forest. The trees of the forest had golden leaves that looked like bells. The forest itself was located on the other end of Enchancia.

"Beautiful place," Lucinda remarked, impressed.

"It could well be a deadly place if Queen Scarlett's evil double decides to attack," Mrs. Greythorn cautioned. "Everybody, stay sharp."

At that moment, Vega, Orion, and Chrysta arrived from the Mystic Isles.

"We thought you could use some help," Vega announced.

"Your help would be much appreciated, Protectors of the Mystic Isles," Mrs. Greythorn greeted. "Thank you."

"Nice to see you again, Sofia," Chrysta smiled as she walked over.

"And it's good to see you, Chrysta," Sofia smiled back.

"We should be cautious," Orion warned. "The evil version of Scarlett could be quite dangerous."

"Quite dangerous is an understatement," a woman's voice came from behind Orion. Everybody looked to see the good version of Scarlett, as well as Faith, Hematite, and Cinnibar Sheriff Caitlyn standing there.

"A pleasure to see you, Scarlett," Vega greeted. "I wish it were under better circumstances."

"As do I," good Scarlett agreed. "My evil side is quite dangerous, and carries a lot of baggage with her."

"That's an understatement," a woman's voice laughed from inside the forest. "What do we have here? Protectors ... and witches. I hate witches."

"There she is now," good Scarlett warned. "My evil side."

"Queen Scarlett," Mrs. Greythorn said into the forest at evil Scarlett. "You are ordered to surrender immediately."

"Go to hell!" evil Scarlett shouted as she shot a powerful blast of magical energy at the group who ducked for cover. At that same moment, Caitlyn pulled out two pistols and charged toward evil Scarlett.

"No, Caitlyn!" good Scarlett warned as Caitlyn charged forward, shooting her pistols.

As Caitlyn emptied her pistols of bullets, there was dead silence inside the forest.

"Did we get her?" Amber wondered.

"No, you did not," evil Scarlett laughed.

Caitlyn reloaded her pistols and charged forward, firing at evil Scarlett. The bullets had no effect on evil Scarlett who raised her hands and shot a magical blast of deadly energy which hit Caitlyn in the chest. Orion swooped in, grabbed Caitlyn, and flew her to where the group was standing.

"Oh my God!" good Scarlett exclaimed in shock as she knelt over Caitlyn. Good Scarlett then took something out of her backpack ... the Resurrection Gauntlet. Good Scarlett wanted to use the Gauntlet to heal Caitlyn.

"Let's get this over with," Caitlyn groaned.

"There's something you should know first," good Scarlett said, slipping the Resurrection Gauntlet on her arm. "Because its power requires making a person into an immortal in order to revive them, as soon as I use the Resurrection Gauntlet on you, you will never be able to enter the afterlife."

Caitlyn simply smiled weakly at her queen. "My mortality is a small price to pay if it means protecting the only family and home I've ever known."

"It's your call," good Scarlett smiled warmly before sticking out her hand, which started glowing with a green light. "Avada Kedavra."

With that, Caitlyn was instantly dead and good Scarlett simply laid the Gauntlet's palm on Caitlyn's chest and activated it, the energy surging all throughout Caitlyn's body and a few seconds later, the new immortal Sheriff got up with a groan as she ran a hand through her hair as she smiled and flexed her hand into a fist.

"So this is what it feels like to be immortal," Caitlyn said as she sighed. "Mom and I are going to have a serious talk about this."

December 7, 1941

It was early morning a few miles away from Honolulu in the United States Territory of Hawaii. Dorrie and Candice had used their Tardis to track down Drake to this moment in time. Dorrie and Candice's Tardis landed in an uninhabited countryside area. As soon as the Tardis landed, Dorrie, Candice, Graham, Ryan, and the security team walked out of the Tardis as Candice brought out a Tricorder.

"I'm picking up power readings from some kind of advanced tech not native to this time period," Candice reported. "It's coming from a house from down the road."

"Any idea of what kind of tech we're dealing with?" Dorrie asked.

"Doing a more detailed scan now," Candice started. "Whatever it is, it's sending out a signal toward the Pearl Harbor radar installation."

"To what end?" Graham wanted to know.

"Drake may be using the device to enhance the scanning range of the local radar," Candice theorized. "If that's the case, the incoming planes from the Japanese fleet could be detected before they attack Pearl Harbor."

"And if Pearl Harbor detected the planes early, they could get fighters in the air, and in doing so change the course of the battle and alter history," Dorrie pointed out.

"Which is something a twisted mind like Drake's would enjoy," Candice remarked. "We've better get to that house and stop him before he's successful."

Dorrie, Candice, Graham, Ryan, and the security team carefully made their way to the house. In a few moments, the security team kicked in the door of the house and rushed inside, throwing Drake completely off guard. One of the security team fired a pistol at Drake's device which was sitting on a table, which short-circuited the device. Dorrie, Candice, Graham, and Ryan then walked in.

"Drake, you are under arrest for multiple time violations," Dorrie announced.

"I think not!" Drake exclaimed as he brought out his Omni. At the same time, Candice brought out the special Sonic Screwdriver she had constructed. Suddenly, one of the security team tackled Candice.

"Run Drake! Run!" the man who had tackled Candice shouted.

Drake was about to activate his Omni when Ryan stepped forward with a Sonic Screwdriver. Ryan activated the Sonic Screwdriver, short-circuiting Drake's Omni. At that same time, Drake tried to make a run out the door, only to be stopped by ... James.

"Can't have you getting away, can we," James said as he grabbed Drake and threw him back into the house.

"James?!" Dorrie and Candice exclaimed in disbelief.

"You're a Voyager?" Dorrie asked in disbelief.

"I'm with Department Fourteen's Special Assignments Division," James answered as the man who had tackled Candice tried to make a run for it. Graham quickly picked up a frying pan and hit the man in the head with it, knocking the man unconscious.

"Can't have you escaping, can we, old son," Graham smirked.

"Stay right where you are, Drake!" Ryan ordered as the rest of the security team pointed their pistols at Drake.

"Bravo," Drake said with a defeated tone. "Looks like you have me."

"You're going back to Voyager Command to face the consequences of your actions," James said to Drake before turning to Dorrie and Candice. "Check your Omnis. Red light or green light?"

Candice quickly opened the cover of her Omni, and the green light on her Omni flashed on. "Green light," Candice reported. "Looks like we stopped Drake before he could change history."

"One question?" one of the security team asked. "Ryan had a Sonic Screwdriver, too. How?"

"Graham had his suspicions about Drake's friend here," Dorrie answered, looking at the man who had tackled Candice. "So, I quietly told Candice and Ryan about Graham's suspicions, and Candice decided to build a second Sonic Screwdriver which she gave to Ryan."

"Excellent work," James praised. "We've better be getting out of here. I'm looking forward to seeing this Tardis of yours."

After Drake and the man who had tackled Candice were handcuffed, Dorrie walked over to Drake and reached into Drake's jacket pocket. Dorrie then pulled out the two pieces of the Tiger Talisman.

"I'll be taking these," Dorrie said to Drake as she put the two pieces of the Tiger Talisman into her pocket.

Dorrie, Candice, James, Graham, Ryan, and the security team then marched Drake and the man who had tackled Candice out of the house. As the group approached Dorrie and Candice's Tardis, they heard the sound of bombing coming from the distance.

"The attack's begun," Dorrie noted. "Let's get out of here while the going is good."

Back at the Belltree Forest

Sofia, Lucinda, Amber, Abby, Vega, Orion, and Chrysta raised their Enchantlets and fired them at evil Scarlett. Evil Scarlett whirled around in a circle, creating a powerful gust of wind which caused the Enchantlets to fall short of their target. At that same moment, Mrs. Greythorn, Violet, and Hematite raised their wands and fired on evil Scarlett, only to have the blast from their wands deflected by the same powerful gust of wind. Evil Scarlett then leaned backward, finding herself drained by expelling so much magical energy.

"Move aside, ladies, I know exactly what to do," Faith said to , Violet, and Hematite as Faith stepped forward with a smirk to the evil Scarlett as evil Scarlett returned the smirk and twirled her sword.

"You know, darling, for one of the smartest beings in the world, it was an awfully dumb move to come to face me," the evil Scarlett said as Faith smirked as the good Scarlett gave a thumbs-up from the background.

"No. You're free to go," Faith announced, crossing her arms.

"I know you better than anyone, Princess. What's the catch?"

"You have to kill me," Faith said plainly.

"You want to fight? The one who trained you?"

"No. I'm not going to fight you," Faith declared. "But if you want to leave this forest, you're gonna have to kill me."

"Don't think I won't," the evil Scarlett glared, bringing her sword up.

"Then do it," Faith said nonchalantly as the evil Scarlett brought her sword up to Faith's neck, but she hesitated with a wince. "What are you waiting for? What's the big deal? Live up to your name, Scarlet Warrior. I want to see you be a warrior."

The good Scarlett gave a knowing nod as the evil Scarlett looked like she was internally struggling.

"You want to be evil? This is what evil people do. They kill those closest to them because nothing matters to them anymore, right? Right?!" Faith exclaimed.

The evil Scarlett gave a thousand-yard stare as Faith grabbed the hilt of her sword and glared sharply at the evil side of her mother.

"Just kill me, Scarlett."

Evil Scarlett then let go of her sword as Faith smirked knowingly at evil Scarlett.

"You can't do it. You can't. Because underneath that cold-hearted exterior, you're still my mother," Faith said in a self-assured tone of voice.

"You can feel it, can't you" good Scarlett smirked to her dark side. "Your strength and magic is weaker just as mine is. Because you're incomplete. You want exactly what I want."

"How do you know what I want?" the evil Scarlett snapped.

"Simple," the good Scarlett explained. "Since we're technically the same person, we can sense each other's thoughts and desires. Because they're one and the same. The only way for us to get back to full power is for us to fuse back into one Scarlett again."

"Fine," the evil Scarlett scoffed. "But we need the Tiger Talisman to do that."

Suddenly, Dorrie and Candice raced up on brooms.

"Is everything alright here?" Candice asked, concerned.

"Everything is under control," good Scarlett reported. "But we're going to need the Tiger Talisman to unify me and my double. Please tell me you have it?"

"We do," Dorrie confirmed as she brought out both pieces of the Tiger Talisman as Violet gently pulled Candice to one side.

"I take it you know who is captured?" Violet asked in a whisper.

"Yes," Candice whispered back. "He's awaiting sentencing. Dorrie and I have to be getting back when we're done here."

"I need the two of you to stand together," Dorrie instructed good Scarlett and evil Scarlett.

"Ready when you are," good Scarlett said to evil Scarlett.

"Let's just get this over with," evil Scarlett sighed in defeat.

Dorrie carefully put the two pieces of the Tiger Talisman together. In a few moments, the two Scarletts merged into one Scarlett. As everybody was about to step forward to greet the now unified Scarlett, Mrs. Greythorn held her hand out.

"We can't be too careful, can we?" Mrs. Greythorn suggested as she turned to the now unified Scarlett. "If you're whole again, answer me this - are you still upset at my actions involving the Growlyn campaign."

"I was angry that you went against my orders," Scarlett confessed. "But, I've since come to realize that you saw a weakness in our defenses, and had mere seconds to act before we were overrun. You and your Enchancian attack broom squadron saved all of us, and for that I'm grateful."

"Okay," Mrs. Greythorn smiled. "I'm convinced. You're the restored Queen Scarlett. The evil Queen Scarlett probably would have ripped my lungs out right now."

"How well you know me, Marcella," Scarlett smiled back. "It's nice to see you back in uniform. Is it permanent?"

"I'm in service on a reserve basis," Mrs. Greythorn answered.

"Orion, Chrysta, and I should be getting back to the Mystic Isles," Vega announced. "It's nice to have you back to normal."

"It's nice to be back to normal," Scarlett acknowledged, relieved.

"I'll see you around, Protector," Chrysta smiled at Sofia as Chrysta, Vega, and Orion flew off toward the Mystic Isles.

"See you, Chrysta," Sofia happily thought to herself.

"We've better be going as well," Scarlett suggested before turning to Dorrie and Candice. "Thank you for getting the Tiger Talisman back. I am in your debt."

"You're welcome, Scarlett," Dorrie smiled.

"Our pleasure," Candice happily responded.

Later at Voyager Command

The man who had tackled Candice in 1941 had been sentenced to imprisonment on an out-of-the-way tropical island in the 1600s. Now, it was time for Drake to face his punishment. In the council chamber of Voyager Command, Drake stood surrounded by guards as the Voyager Council walked into the council chambers.

"Drake," a woman on the council started, "you have been found guilty of numerous violations of the Voyager Code. As a criminal, you acted on numerous occasions to change history for your own twisted aims. It is the ruling of this council that you be banished to a place of our choosing where you can never again be a threat to anybody. You will be notified when we have come up with such a place. Guards, escort the prisoner back to his cell."

"You may silence me, but there are others like me who will continue my work," Drake boasted.

"The prisoner will remain silent," the woman cautioned. "Guards, follow your orders."

The guards escorted Drake out of the council chambers as the woman motioned for all cameras and microphones to be turned off. The woman then turned toward Commissioner Richardson. "Send the signal, please."

Richardson removed a device from his pocket and pressed a button on it. In a few moments, Dorrie and Candice's Tardis materialized inside of the council chambers. The Tardis door opened and out walked Dorrie and Candice.

"Reporting as ordered," Dorrie said to the council.

"Lady Dorrie, Lady Candice, thank you for being of service to this council," the woman started. "This council will now reconvene inside of Lady Dorrie and Lady Candice's Tardis."

Everybody walked into Dorrie and Candice's Tardis. Once everybody was inside, Dorrie and Candice closed the doors to the Tardis and walked up to the council members.

"Lady Dorrie, Lady Candice," Richardson began, "is what we say inside of here secure."

"Once the doors have been closed, nobody on the outside can see or hear us," Candice explained.

"Good," the woman acknowledged. "Commissioner, please explain our proposal to Lady Dorrie and Lady Candice."

"I should warn you that what we are proposing is highly unorthodox," Richardson cautioned Dorrie and Candice.

"Understood, Sir," Dorrie acknowledged.

"We want the two of you to use your Tardis to transport Drake to an out of the way planet in an out of the way time," Richardson revealed. "The planet, of course, would have to be uninhabited, and capable of supporting human life."

"That sounds like a wise precaution, Sir," Candice agreed.

"There's more, ladies," the woman revealed. "Once there, we want the two of you to use an Obliviate spell on Drake. We want his memories of who he was to be erased. We don't want him to be able to cause any trouble ever again. Erasing his memories is the best way to do that."

"You have access to star charts aboard your Tardis," Dorrie pointed out to the council. "Is there any particular time and any particular planet you want us to take Drake?"

"We want you and Lady Candice to select a suitable time and planet," the woman instructed. "Once you have erased his memories and left him there, you are not to reveal to anybody, not even to us, his location. We don't want anybody knowing where he is."

"Understood, ma'am," Candice acknowledged.

"Candice and I will get started selecting an out-of-the-way planet in an appropriate time," Dorrie informed the council. "We'll notify you when we've made a selection."

"Then this council is adjourned until we hear from the two of you," the woman declared.

A few hours later, Drake was laying in his cell when a male guard came in.

"Your supper," the guard announced as he set a tray of food and coffee on a table, then left.

Drake started eating and drinking. In a few minutes, Drake started feeling drowsy.

"My God!" Drake thought to himself. "They must have drugged the coffee."

Drake soon passed out on the floor of the cell. Some guards then walked in with a wheeled stretcher, placed Drake on it, and wheeled him out of the cell. Soon, they arrived at a large room where Dorrie and Candice's Tardis was parked. In the room were Commissioner Richardson, the Voyager Council, and Dorrie and Candice. Also in the room were Phinneas Bogg, as well as Jeffrey Jones who was now a young man.

"Who would have thought it would have ended like this?" Phinneas whispered to Jeffrey.

"Good riddance to bad rubbage," Jeffrey responded.

The stretcher was wheeled into Dorrie and Candice's Tardis. The guards who had wheeled the stretcher into the Tardis left, and then Dorrie and Candice stepped inside, closing the door behind them. In a few moments, the Tardis dematerialized into thin air.

After some traveling time, the Tardis materialized on the planet Racora Four in the Triaxleen Galaxy. Dorrie and Candice had chosen a time period where nobody would land on the planet for hundreds of years, long past Drake's lifetime. Racora Four was a lovely uninhabited tropical planet with an abundance of growing food and natural supplies to build a shelter.

Dorrie and Candice restrained the unconscious Drake to the stretcher and wheeled him outside. Candice then brought out a spray hypo and injected Drake with a substance that would bring him around. In a few minutes, Drake woke up.

"Where am I!?" Drake demanded to know as he struggled against his restraints. "Let me go immediately!"

"Not a chance, bub!" Dorrie spat as she and Candice raised their wands and pointed them at Drake.

"So, this is what it comes down to," Drake said in disgust. "You're going to kill me."

"Death of a sort," Candice responded. "We're going to strip you of your memories. The man you were will no longer exist,"

"You can't do this!" Drake exclaimed, both angry and frightened. "We can work this out! I have riches hidden throughout time. I can make the two of you very wealthy."

"We'll pass," Dorrie quietly said as she and Candice prepared to fire on Drake.

"No!" Drake exclaimed in fear. "Please, don't!"

"Obliviate!" Dorrie and Candice commanded as both of their wands hit Drake with a powerful magical blast, erasing his memories and knocking him unconscious.

"He's okay," Candice reported as she scanned Drake with a Medical Tricorder, while Dorrie released the unconscious Drake from his restraints. Dorrie and Candice then walked into the Tardis. In a few moments, the Tardis disappeared into thin air, leaving Drake to spend the rest of his life on Racora Four.

Back in the Ever Realm

Dorrie and Candice's Tardis materialized inside of The Secret Library. As Dorrie and Candice stepped out of the Tardis, Violet was standing there waiting for them.

"Is it done?" Violet asked, curious.

"Yes, Mom," Dorrie reported.

"Good," Violet approved. "I'll need the two of you to get dressed in your maid uniforms - the three of us will be serving at the royal table tonight. Commander Greythorn and Lynn will be having supper with the royal family."

"Dorrie and I will get to our rooms and change now," Candice acknowledged.

"The two of you are fine young women," Violet praised as she hugged her daughters. "You make a mother proud."

Dorrie and Candice smiled at Violet's praise. Meanwhile, at Scarlett's palace in Cinnibar, Scarlett was sitting on a couch with Faith lovingly leaning against Scarlett.

"I'm so happy you're back, Mom," Faith said, relieved.

"And I'm happy to be back," Scarlett responded, equally relieved. "You showed real bravery out in the Belltree Forest. I'm so proud of you, my precious one."

At that moment, Colette wheeled a tea cart into Scarlett's study and served tea to Scarlett and Faith. As Scarlett and Faith enjoyed the tea, they looked out the window at the peaceful evening sky. Everything was right with the world ... or was it?

At Voyager Command

Commissioner Richardson was in his office sitting at his desk when a female guard walked in.

"Commissioner," the guard started, "we've done a headcount of everybody here at Voyager Command. Nine Voyagers are missing."

"Damn!" Richardson exclaimed under his breath. "Followers of Drake. We now have nine potential versions of Drake out there. My God."

(End of Chapter 13).

Avada Kedavra and Obliviate! are from "Harry Potter".

Catilyn is a character created by Jake H Voronkov for my stories, inspired by a character seen in the "League of Legends" video game.

Drake, Jeffrey Jones, Omni, Phinneas Bogg, and Voyager are from the "Voyagers!" TV series.

"Excuse me, Sir," Candice started. "I've been made aware of a future where Drake is still on the loose" - this is a reference to events seen in Chapter 11 of my story "Once Upon a Time in Enchancia".

Graham and Ryan are from the Jodie Whittaker episodes of "Doctor Who". Graham and Ryan also made an appearance in my story "Sheynok: a Once Upon a Time in Enchancia story".

Having Drake being exiled to an out of the way planet, and having his memories removed by way of the Obliviate! spell was the idea of Brigade701.

Having Scarlett split in two by way of the Tiger Talisman was the idea of Jake H Voronkov.

Hematite is a character created by MisuteriTenshi / SailorWednesdayMercury and is used in my stories with the permission of MisuteriTenshi / SailorWednesdayMercury.

Hikari is an alternate universe version of Hikari from "Digimon: Digital Monsters". Having Hikari appear in this story was the idea of Shaddowridder221. I decided to use Hikari's original Japanese name of Hikari to avoid confusion with Princess Kari from "Sofia the First".

Medical Tricorder and spray hypo are from "Star Trek".

Princess Faith (Queen Scarlett's adopted daughter) is an earlier version of Faith seen in the "Torchwood" episodes "Dead Man Walking" and "Fragments".

Sonic Screwdriver and Tardis are from "Doctor Who".

The idea of Drake having followers at Voyager Command came about as a result of a conversation Brigade701 and I had a while back.

The Kingdom of Cinnibar is a kingdom created by Jake H Voronkov and is used in my stories with permission from Jake H Voronkov.

The Resurrection Gauntlet is originally from "Torchwood".

The Tiger Talisman is from "Jackie Chan Adventures". The Tiger Talisman plot in this chapter was the idea of Jake H Voronkov (I added in Drake from "Voyagers!" to help fill out the plot).

The Scarlett Warrior (A.K.A. Scarlett) (A.K.A. Queen Scarlett) (A.K.A. Queen Scarlett Katherine Felchenerow) is a character created by Jake H Voronkov and is used in my stories with permission from Jake H Voronkov. Meanwhile, the character of Colette (A.K.A. Lady Colette Cosmarune) is a character that I and Jake H Voronkov created and is based on Bayonetta from the video game "Bayonetta" (please note that Colette, and Madam Collette of Enchancia Castle, are two different characters who are not related in any way, shape, or form).

The scene with Caitlyn fighting evil Scarlett was the idea of Jake H Voronkov (who also supplied some of the dialog for the scene).

The scene with Faith challenging evil Scarlett was the idea of Jake H Voronkov (who also supplied the dialog for the scene).

The scene with Scarlett, Colette, Faith, and Hematite was the idea of Jake H Voronkov (who also supplied the bulk of the dialog for the scene).

Why wasn't Colette at the battle that took place at the Belltree Forest? Colette had to stay behind to oversee the Kingdom of Cinnibar in Scarlett's absence.
