Elijah couldn't get over Lucy's Bennett beauty. Before he arrived he thought the usual would be the usual Bennett beauty. When he saw her step out the door at the sound of their car pulling up her drive. He dismissed her like he normally did other witches it was hard cause her magic came off in waves, Bonnie did all she could to contain her magical energy so even now he just knew she was deadly because of experience but Lucy wore her magic on her sleeves.

When he got to the car and spotted her again he swore his breath hitched, her mocha skin glistening from her sweat, the way her green eyes widened at the surprise of her cousin being in front of her had him wishing he was Bonnie. She's beautiful, when she finally gave her his attention, she looked him up and down Elijah wondered for a while if something was wrong with him until she gave him a satisfactory smile and asked Bonnie who the hottie was. Bonnie looked back at him seeing that he was starstruck, she laughed at the two.

"Invite him while I use the washroom." She said tapping Lucy's shoulder and walking. Elijah walked up to the witch.
"Elijah Mikealson," he introduced himself, he stretched out his hand and she placed her hand in his on impulse. He kissed getting a taste of her sweat.

I need her he thought to himself.
"Lucy Bennett," she said with a soft giggle that lit her face, this must be love at first sight. No way should her laugh have him thinking of laying down his life for him. For the first time, Elijah felt a spiritual euphoria.

"I'm guessing you're to thank for the vampire that was around my home," she said stepping into her house. Leaving Elijah stuck on the other side, wanting another chance to touch her. He felt like a touch-deprived man.

How could I make her laugh again?
Would she keep talking to me?
Is she just as beautiful under the moonlight?
When does she practice magic?
Is it like Bonnie's or uniquely hers?
How would it feel to trace my tongue along her body?
How would she taste?

"Come in," she said he stepped in feeling desperate he tried to remain focused on his reason to be hear but he failed until Bonnie came back from the washroom. She used Bonnie as his anchor. The woman he planned to pursue was in danger that was why he was here to keep them safe. Making sure their magic was the last resort.

Bonnie came out of the washroom took a juniper incense and lit it. Walking around the room ensuring it hit every corner. They both took a seat and waited for her.
Elijah took this opportunity to look at she had this calm demeanour but she could tell she was worried and anxious at their presence.

Bonnie told him that she might try to push off them helping her and that's wanted to let Lucy come on this trip. She'd feel that she helped Bonnie.

He wondered if he'd get to see who she was on this trip, more of her smile and laughter.

Lucy studied Bonnie she changed since the last time she saw her, yet remained the same, her eyes brighter, and she now sported more natural styles than those horrible wigs.

Her magic is still raw and untamed yet it's quiet. If Lucy didn't pay attention to Bonnie's energy she'd think she was just a mere witch and not a Bennett. Why was Bonnie hiding her magic?

Bonnie sat next to Lucy, Lucy reached over and took her cousin's hand and studied her to see if there was anything to indicate that she was in trouble. But Bonnie just took her hand and tapped it.
"So who is after you?" Bonnie asked

"A group of vamps that call themselves Embrals." She answered, Bonnie turned to elijah he nodded and listened to Lucy as she went into the story of how she ran into them.

She answered a call for a witch for hire. Thinking it was a simple location spell but they wanted her to lock away something and then tried to kill her afterwards.

Elijah knows of the group they were men whom Rebekah had turned lovers who went under his and Niklaus's radar.

They worshipped her as a goddess for a few years but her being daggered for so long they devied off. They should be easy to deal with.

"Okay so elijah knows them," Bonnie says. Lucy turns her gaze to him and he nods to confirm. So just like I should trust him to take care of it? She gives Bonnie a questioning look.

"Why are you with a Mikealson?" Lucy asked, she looked at elijah who had a sly smile and Bonnie who looked like she wanted to hide.

"She's dating my brother," elijah answered after Bonnie was silent for a while. The guy she's dating is Nick was she playing them wait?
Lucy jumped up
"You're dating Niklaus Mikealson?" Lucy shouted her eyes wide she looked between the two for confirmation. Only Elijah responded.

"Is he this Nik you have been gushing about on the phone about how he-" Lucy stopped and looked over to Elijah and then Bonnie who looked like she wanted to die.

" wait this is the hot brother that belongs in hell?" Lucy asked pointing at elijah
Bonnie shoves her "Oh my god are you going to tell all my business?" She looks over to elijah and rolls her eyes "All the Mikealsons' men are hot and seeing hell if they ever die." Bonnie muttered.

"So why is Elijah the Mikealson that you hate in my house right now?" Lucy said she was trying to understand what was going on. She looked at elijah who restored his face to its usual stoic position. He was the perfect man her usual type, she loved going to men like him and being a whirlwind, wild and wet and leaving them breathless. Right now looking into his eyes and felt a pull to him in a way she couldn't explain, she wanted to see who he was under the suit, would she remain standing afterwards or would she run? She knew he felt the pull too, his subtle body language told her everything.

Bonnie cleared her throat and looked at Elijah.
"My period just started and I could do something fried," Bonnie said, she didn't want to talk in front of him. Does she need to help her to get him to leave? After he was already invited in?

"Why don't you ladies chat and I cook? I'm sure there are some things you have to tell your cousin you don't want me to hear." Elijah offered. Bonnie nodded. Lucy watched between the two he's not going to fight or demand to be there?

"Can he even cook?" Lucy asked Bonnie

"He's alive for 1000 years I'm sure his sister insisted he learned at some point." Lucy got up and showed him the kitchen. He came up right behind her. His breath brushed against her naked, she let out a long sigh. Ancestors, this man is going to give me trouble.

Bonnie took a shower and then the women settled Lucy's bed after casting a silencing spell.

"So tell me everything?" Lucy asked. Bonnie laid her head on a pillow

"Like what?" She asked.

" you're with which brother again?" She asked rolling her eyes

" the hybrid," Bonnie answered
"You're with Niklaus Mikealson, the monster that folklore is based on," Lucy asked raising her eyebrows.
"Yeah," Bonnie said meekly.
"Don't get shy now on the phone it was Nik this Nik that and never Nik is an immortal vampire and original at that," Lucy said poking her

"I know I know," Bonnie said "I honestly didn't see this going past sex and that I could easily walk away but," she trailed off.

"Okay, how did this start?" Lucy asked Bonnie giggled

"Well he kind of asked me and now we here," she said shrugging. She told Lucy how things went and Lucy listened to her cousin she sounded in love on the phone but seeing her talk about him in person she was gone. Lucy just hoped her heart was safe with him or he would face the wrath of Bennett's witches.

" so he's not blackmailing or anything like that?" Lucy asked seriously
Bonnie shook her head.
" I genuinely enjoy being around him, what happened was in the past and I can kinda look past it, plus he's become a friend to me, the sex is top tier and he spoils me like crazy," Bonnie said

"Alright, so why is his brother here instead of him?" Lucy said
" he had something he needed to do and his brother is the next best thing," she answered.

"What's the deal with you and Elijah?" Lucy asked if she should go forward with this chemistry with Elijah she needed all the facts.
" you know how Abby is a vampire now." Bonnie started Lucy nodded following along with the story.
"Well I'm glad the coin flip didn't choose you," Lucy said hugging her. "But you can't blame him and don't give the same energy to the Salvatores," she said pulling away.

" I know it's just I think about maybe my mom would be in my life if she wasn't turned" Bonnie said looking away.
"We both know that woman if she wanted to be in your life she would have, plus give Elijah some grace unlike the brothers he always made his priorities clear," Lucy said
Bonnie sighed "I know, I'm trying but it's so hard,"
" so what would help? Hexxing him? Killing him? Cause I'm up for either" Lucy said raising her shoulders

"I just need time, it's my mom we had finally started to make progress with each other and then this drastic change the last time I saw her was when I was practising expression" Bonnie admitted

"Okay so he's immortal and has all the time in the world right now we use him for what he's got. while you decide he deserves your forgiveness," Lucy said

"Plus you are a young witch," Bonnie begins to protest "It's true we are stubborn when we're young, you were handling the magic pretty well and your mom just made it worse." Lucy continued. Lucy touched her hand and looked straight into her eyes.

"A lot of us failed you and you still want us as your family, I won't fail you again nor will any Bennett that comes in your path," Lucy promised. Bonnie nodded

"I don't mind you being with Elijah it's just I don't spend time with him right now, " Bonnie said

"Bonnie I don't want to do anything while you're mad at him," Lucy said

"I would never do anything to jeopardise you," Bonnie said "Plus someone needs to ruffle his feathers a bit and you can do it perfectly." Lucy pushed her off the bed. She took the pillow and threw it at her.

"Bitch, I'm carrying your niece," Bonnie said laughing it off.

"Please Aunt Ennet's recipe never failed me plus you just told me you were so wait wait Klaus can actually have kids?" Lucy asked her eyes widening in realisation Bonnie nodded. Bonnie had asked if she knew any potions that could help prevent pregnancy and she gave her.

"Well Bennetts are known for their fertility so be careful," Lucy warned, Bonnie shook her head and waved at her dismissively. Lucy rolled her eyes, her cousin would just have to learn for herself.

"Okay okay, so why are we going to Austria?" Lucy asked. Bonnie explained

"So that's why you're hiding your magic." Bonnie studied her and made a hand gesture that meant sort of.

"Cousin, we have been apart for so long I just want to know I'll stick by your side," Lucy said holding Bonnie's hands she was practically part of her coven already but Bonnie had her loyalty now until she died.

"Same," Bonnie said pulling her in for a hug. The women continued talking until Elijah called them for the food.

Lucy came out of her room and went where Elijah sat on the bench on her porch. She had so much to process since Bonnie's arrival, with what was happening in New Orleans, with Bonnie and even this thing with Elijah.

She felt this unexplainable pull to him, she didn't understand if it was because he was a vampire or if was it something else. She could only recall one time she felt like this and it was when she first Bonnie, so young and naive and yet so sweet, just a glimpse of her cousin, she left her with a bit of advice she would have thought was enough but it wasn't she had failed her cousin then.

Lucy looked up to the waning moon, she wanted to ensure she knew what to say to him. She had her years where she was boy-crazy and she couldn't go down this path. Her cousin was asking her to leave behind her home, the home she lost her mom, learned magic, the home that had been in her family for two generations. She was going to help Bonnie build back the Bennett coven. Something she didn't know she was missing until Bonnie messaged her.

She remembered when Abby came to her doorstep with Aunt Margaret, the last living Bennett elder. Abby told her that Bonnie was practising Expression, the circle hadn't been completed yet and they could stop her. Aunt Margaret told her it was ridiculous to try to stop Bonnie, Bennett's witches are stubborn, and she said Abby should try to be a mother to Bonnie. There no nowhere Bonnie was doing for power she was probably being manipulated which was happening cause they had failed her.

Aunt Margaret wanted to do a better investigation before they took any drastic measures. All the other witches who practised expression wanted power. Bonnie had that without expression even if the spirits punished her, she would get it back with the right guidance.

But Abby didn't listen she always hated the fact that she was a witch and her daughter turned out to be an even better one. When Bonnie died, we all felt it, Aunt Margaret felt guilty that she never met Bonnie, maybe she could have made a difference better than her mother could.

Lucy would have to call her to New Orleans and she'd come she was sure. They both need a link to their mothers or in Bonnie's case her grams.

Lucy sighed and placed her head on Elijah's shoulders, she wasn't sure what she'd tell him, so she asked
"What's New Orleans like?"
"It's beautiful," Elijah said, he described the first time he saw the city on a boat. Lucy listened to him with wide eyes, taking in his voice, and the little smile. She liked the way he told stories. His deep brown eyes filled with admiration for the city that he made his home years ago.

Lucy looked away from him and looked to the sky, a shooting star was passing. She smiled a little.

"Will my family be there?" Lucy asked, she was prepared to fight, fight for Bonnie, Amaka and Hiwa. For any Bennett that would eventually find their way to the Bennett home. She didn't want to die fighting she wanted to live the soft life with her cousins, spending days enjoying just each other's company, cooking, and practising magic together. She would spend her life beyond the grave fighting anyway. She needed to have some fun while it happened.

"My family will do what it takes to keep you guys together," Elijah vowed. Why would he make such a promise? What purpose does it serve him to keep us alive?

Lucy shook her head at him.

"You can't say that," Lucy challenged. She looked into his eyes.

"You can't make promises to my family knowing you've broken them before." Lucy said "You may not have made it to Bonnie but you did make that promise " She continued

"Lucy," Elijah began, lucy stopped him

"Bonnie comes first for me, my family comes first for me and if I get an inkling you guys are using her or harming her in any way, what Davina did to New Orleans would look like child's play." She warned.

Elijah sighed. She kissed him on the cheek and went to bed.
