"Compa, I don't need a full body checkup!" Nebula yelled as he was currently trying to persuade Compa that he did not need to take off his pants.
His entire torso and arms up to his wrists were completely bandaged up, with his burns and scratches mostly treated. Compa currently had her hands on his belt as she was adamant about checking for any injuries on his lower body.
He had some red on his face from imaging the beginning of a certain doujin he once read but tried his hardest to suppress said thoughts as he shook his head to get the pages out of his mind.
Also, he was in the middle of trying to mitigate a raging boner that was starting to develop in his pants from the doujin, Compa's positioning, and the implications and images in his head.
And because of those things, he was trying by all civil means to stave off Compa's decision.
Now don't get him wrong, Compa was a very attractive girl, and possibly seemed like waifu material by the way she could take care of you, but the problem was that Compa seemed rather innocent and pure, and he didn't want to sully that by showing her a 9 inched python out of 'medical examination'.
He had learned the fact that she was a nursing student (Nurse-In-Training to be exact) while they were going to her apartment, and she introduced herself as Compa as well.
He in turn said that his name was Nebula and that it was nice to meet her.
She asked if he was from Planeptune, and he told her that he was. She then explained that she was living in Planeptune ever since she was born and that she was best friends with someone called IF.
He remembered snorting as he wondered if IF's parents wanted a smartass with that name being an eternal ponder.
When they arrived at her apartment, he realized that it was rather cozy, as he would be venturing from nation to nation, and didn't have a permanent place to call home, even if he kept all his stuff in Mr. Mūten's house for safekeeping.
She then immediately got down to business after setting down her things. He was propped onto a bed, more specifically her bed, which got him miffed as she let someone she just met onto her bed, injured or not.
She then began treating his wounds. Most of them were dried as he had been eating and talking for a while. But after that, she did what she did best.
Bonda- I mean, bandage.
Nebula had to point out every time something was tight to the point that if he moved his body, the fabric snapped, and at that point, his entire upper body sans his face and wrists had been wrapped, near mummified even.
But after, Compa went for his belt, and that was where he realized what she wanted to do.
So for the sake of her innocence, he had to halt the progression of events, as much as the libido within his mind begged him not to.
"But I have to check everywhere to see your injuries, Neb-Neb!" She said as she went to undo his belt buckle. His hands covered the buckle, ultimately hindering her task.
"Look Compa, you're a girl and I'm a guy. It'd be weird, alright. Take it from me, my legs are fine. Just relax already." Nebula tried to soothe her worries.
Although her intentions were pure, if his belt was undone, what she would behold was not pure in the slightest.
But unfortunately, Compa was determined to make sure he was completely healthy. So she wrestled him to take off his belt.
"C-Come on Neb-Neb! Move your hands!" She pulled the buckle as she struggled.
"Compa, no! Wait! STOP!" Nebula squeaked in defiance.
They continued to wrestle until Nebula came to a proposal.
"ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT!" Nebula yelled stopping her actions as she retracted from the intensity of his voice.
"I'll do it myself, Compa. The injuries aren't too serious, probably a few cuts and scratches for the most. Just let me handle that part, okay?" He asked as he grabbed her shoulders and looked dead into her eyes, her pink orbs staring into his cyan.
His tone softened as he tried to appeal to her goodwill.
He stared at her as she contemplated letting him deal with his injuries on his own before finally coming to a decision.
"...Alright, Neb-Neb. I'll leave it to you." She said with a down look.
This caused a slight twang in Nebula's heart as he unintentionally made her sad. He would then try to fix the problem.
"Look, Compa. I really appreciate what you did for me, even if I didn't ask for it at first." He told her causing her to look at him as he let go of her shoulders.
"And I just want to do this by myself, alright. You've been a great help up to now." He said as he gave her a moralizing thumbs up.
"Alright, Neb-Neb." She said with her cheerful tone returning to her voice, which made him at ease again. He didn't like seeing people he favored down ao be would whatever he could to make them feel alright, as corny as it seemed.
"Ok. Now could I get a quick meal? I'm still not too full from the last time I ate." He said as he scratched the back of his head. His stomach even baffled him with how much he could stuff it full and not become fat. Reminded him of a pink blob that sucked in things.
"Yessy! I'll be right back Neb-Neb!" Compa squeaked as she went to cook something in the kitchen.
That gave Nebula time to himself once more.
He still had questions about the stone that he used and was wondering who he could talk to about said questions.
How did the stone get there?
Who or what sent it?
Did the stone have an alternative purpose?
Why did it even come here?
What powers did he gain in his new form?
These were some of the many questions that Nebula had to reflect on as he laid down on the bed in deep thought.
But these things wouldn't be resolved if he only mulled them over in his head. Until he found someone knowledgeable, all he could do is hone his new power and figure out how it ticked.
He sat there and brainstorm theories for quite some time until Compa brought some food for him.
"Here you go, Neb-Neb." She said as she rested some delicious-looking food on his lap.
It was a fruit bowl with every common fruit ranging from apple slices, orange slices, blueberries, banana slices, portugal pegs to grapes and pear slices. It would look extra enticing with all the moisture dripping from the fruits.
Nebula wasted no time as he began to take handfuls and shovel them into his mouth. He chewed loudly as a look of true bliss was on his face. Compa just stared slightly agape and amused at what she was looking at. In 5 seconds flat, he was done with a fruit bowl about the size of a bucket.
"Fuaaaa... That's better. I sure lost a lot of calories. Glad they're somewhat back now." He said to himself as Compa watched his demeanor.
"Do you eat like that everywhere you go, Neb-Neb?" Compa genuinely asked.
"Not intentionally. It's just when the food is really good, I can't help myself, you see." Nebula admitted as Compa giggled in response.
"Well try not to do that too much, some people don't like it when you eat like that." She answered back.
"No promises. Especially from you if your fruit bowls taste this good." He told her. Which got her to chuckle some more with a tinge of pink on her cheeks.
Cassanova, aren't we-
'Shut it, you. I'm enjoying my nutrients.' Nebula cut short as he returned to gaze at Compa's happy figure.
As she stopped, she then asked another question.
"So where were you going, Neb-Neb?" Compa asked as she had some wonder on her features.
"Oh. I was going to the dry cleaners to pick up some of my clothes. Then I'll just crash by a comfy place when it's time to catch some Zs." Nebula explained to the Nurse-In-Training.
"Ok. So you have a place to stay, then." Compa comprehended.
''About that..."
He then explained to Compa that he had no real place to stay. Since he was an adventurer not aligned with the Guild besides a license, he just drifted from inn to hotel with what he earned from quests and doing odd jobs for people who sometimes even offered him a bed for his work.
It was exotic, but in the world of Gamindustri, exotic was pretty much normal.
Compa listened before dropping a bombshell on him.
"Well, since you're here, you can stay with me for the night." She opted, which got Nebula to raise his brows.
"Really?! I-I mean, thanks a ton, Compa! Let me just get my clothes from the cleaners and I'll be back. I love ya forever, Compa! You're a true friend even though we just met 10 minutes ago!" He said as he got up and ran out the door.
DASH!
"Wait! You haven't checked for any injuries on your feet as yet!" Compa tried to halt, but the boy was already out the door. "I didn't even tell him where he could sleep for the night..." She said with a lost expression. But then she realized what he said after she let it play out in her head again.
"...Did he say that he loved me?" She wondered as she gained some bewilderment and flush on her face from the implications of the thought. She shook those thoughts as she too got up from the bed and walk to the door.
"I have some things I have to take care of too. I hope he doesn't get back too soon, or he'll be locked out." She said to herself as she locked the door as she exited her apartment.
RUN!!!
LEAP!
SWING!
WALL RUN!
Nebula dashed at blinding speeds towards the cleaners. He became a blur in the eyes of regular bystanders as he ran past citizens, jumped over crosswalks, swung on the bars of traffic lights and some stop signs, and even ran on some walls.
He was ecstatic that a free night was offered to him so readily and without any hesitation or requirement.
He was on his way to the building when he realized that he had some time to burn. He looked at the time of a random clock. It would read 3:06 PM.
The cleaners closed at 6, so he had a little under three hours to get the clothes. He then felt some type of way for leaving Mr. Mūten and AL so early.
He then cheered himself up as he realized that he could use most of the time to train his other form, as well as find out how to activate it.
The adventurer didn't want to do it in front of everyone though, as he felt he should keep it secret for some time.
He spent about 15 minutes jogging back to the thick undergrowth of Virtua Forest, where he found the stone and its crash site.
After that, he then looked around some more, making sure he wasn't followed.
Last thing he wanted was becoming the controversy of Gamindustri. He could become something only written in fanfiction material because he didn't have boobs.
Once he was sure he was alone, he proceeded to say the most cringe phrases to activate his transformation.
"Maximum Power!" Nebula roared. He planted his legs firmly on the ground and somewhat spread them, hands outstretched and standing straight, like a certain trope in a certain alien vegetable-centric fighting game.
Nothing.
"Hmm... how about..." He thought aloud.
"Let's do this! Knock 'em to hell and back!" He shouted.
Nada.
"Huh. Maybe..." Start the brain, smart aleck.
"The power of a god. Haaaaaaaa!" He roared to the aether.
That one was actually half-decent too, if you were an edgy anti-hero.
"Man, this ain't easy. But if it was, I probably wouldn't be so powerful when I transformed. Or maybe it is easy and I just suck at good transformation quotes." He wondered.
Then he tried some more. He even went a bit off track for the last one.
"BY THE POWER OF MEMES! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" Nebula screeched.
That was funny, but it would get old quickly for the small instances.
"Crap. I kinda liked that one too." He somberly moped. He then thought about how he brought out the transformation anyway.
"If I've played any fighting game and I have played a LOT, then to transform I gotta bring out my latent power. But I would probably need a trigger. But I'll deal with that block when I get there. I'll just start by bringing out my SP." He tried to theorize.
He closed his eyes.
And brought out his SP once more.
The familiar orange glow returned as his body would be engulfed in its energy once more. Once all of it had been brought out, he opened his eyes.
"Alright. Now that I've done that, now what?..." He said as he looked at his empowered state.
His hair was a bit raised as his muscles slightly bulged from the output of energy.
"I guess I'll keep pushing until something happens. Either that or I collapse from exhaustion. Hmph. Or I shit myself. Ha!" He guessed as he laughed at the third scenario.
He then began to raise his current power even higher.
...!
BURST!
RUMBLE!
WIND!
"Hoooooooo..." Nebula yelled as he began to tap into his reserves.
His aura brightened and faded following his rising KI. The pebbles around him shuddered and rumbled as he drew out more power.
Wind also began to slightly pick up as his energy marginally affected the environment through digging deeper and deeper within himself, like every action protagonist.
BURST!!!
RUMBLE!!
DEPRESS!
GUST!!
"...Haaaaaaaaaa...!" He raised his voice as he continue powering up.
His aura took the appearance of a more jagged and wild shape as his feet began to become implanted into the ground as light radiated from him.
The pebbles vibrated as they soon begin to raise as his KI reserves were being supplied to him. The ground also began to tremble a bit from the amount of energy Nebula was generating from his power-up.
The blowing wind then grew more violent as he tapped into more and more of his reserves.
BURST!!!
CRACK!!!
GUST!!!
QUAKE!!!
"HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!..." He fully out yelled, his aura becoming untamed as it went from flickering to remaining bright dark orange as he continued to scream.
His feet created cracks as the grass beneath him would be blown away by just being near him at this point. The ground had a full-on Magnitude 6 earthquake as he increased his power, the wind beginning to blow back some smaller trees.
The pebbles had moved on to full-on levitating as some small rocks would begin to be slowly raised or outright pulled from the ground.
Nebula's body began to sweat as he was getting tired as he had now burned through 50% of his reserves, but for the sake of the transformation, he would keep pushing. He had to see this through.
BURSTING POWER!!!
DEPRESS!!!
STATIC!!!
STRONG WINDS!!!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!"Nebula roared as his muscles began to form veins as he flared his energy.
The tremor he was generating would now begin to affect the entirety of Virtua Forest, spooking nearby adventurers and quest-takers.
"Waugh!"
Another person was startled by the reaction but soon went to investigate.
Stones were now levitating from the pressure of his energy as he yelled. The winds would be causing bigger trees to be blown back. His aura began to generate some bio-electricity that was colored a light cyan from reaching the depths of his power, as well as somewhat darkening the area for cinematic effect.
The ground below him collapsed a level as the grass near him on the collapsed level would be immediately blown away. His hair violently flapped up as his body was going at max output, sparing no reserve. The male would possess constricted pupils and irises at this point and gritted teeth as his feet would no longer be underground, but causing larger and larger cracks to form.
His bandages expanded, on the brink of tearing from his expanded muscle mass from the tapping into his unrestrained power.
"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!" Nebula seethed through his teeth.
He had reached 100%.
But he couldn't stop there, even if he hadn't used that amount of power for a good while. He felt deep in his heart that he was closer to reattaining the form.
So he kept at the efficiency, at the detriment of the area around him. Nature bounced back as long as you didn't pollute it, so it was far from his concern at that moment.
He soon felt a small feeling around his solar plexus after a total of 3 minutes of staying tensed and maximized, like how he would feel when he drew out SP, or rather KI at this point, but it felt different.
More... Divine.
Nebula in the midsts of holding the maximum output reached for the power and try to bring it out.
"Come... On... Already... Just... A... Little... Bit... More..." He squeezed out of his gritted teeth as the area around him was slowly destroyed. The feeling slowly began to react to his attempts and slowly stuck out and spread within his body.
And from that, a small azure blue glimmer of light appeared in front of his chest, akin to how the CPUs transformed. This signified the asininity of how close he was to transforming once more, yet he had not achieved it.
He called protagonist prejudice.
"Just... A... Bit... M-More..." He stammered as he was beginning to instinctively ease up from fatigue and had to tense up once more as his aura shrunk for a split second before it flared back slightly higher, then back to its maximum state.
Then it happened. Felt like finally taking that big dump that was stuck for way too long.
He quickly crossed his arms, just as the white pillar began to form, and let out a feral roar as he was completely engulfed in the white pillar, with green numbers encircling it. It was two rings instead of a mass of rings like the first time.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWR!!!"
The intensity of the transformation alone was enough to darken the sky for a brief moment all across Virtua Forest and even near Planeptune for a brief bit.
Citizens would be slightly scared and confused why the sky had just turned black from a brief moment and stared in shock.
DARKEN!
"Mommy, why did the sky go black?" A small child asked.
"I don't know, honey." The woman honestly answered.
"IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!" A mad cook yelled as he ran around with his sign.
"Huh?..." Compa stopped, to look up at the sky with concern.
"What the...?" AL asked, about to leave with his pops.
"Nebula." Mr. Mūten squinted his eyes before closing in realization.
"Oh." The afro warrior responded. His eyes then widened.
"Wait, WHAT-"
Meanwhile, the pillar dissipated, ad the transformed version of Nebula returned in all his glory, sans the flight processors.
LAND!
CRASH!
THUD!
His eyes were closed, and when he opened them, the yellow orbs with glowing white power signals were back. The rocks began to fall once he was done transforming.
The male breathed heavily as he was regaining his stamina from exerting all of the energy just to transform.
"Hah... Hah... Hah... Hah... Yare yare daze. I did it." Nebula said with his deeper, more godlike voice.
He looked around and see that the transformation itself was very destructive and had turned the immediate area into a barren mess.
The grass was gone, there were now 2 craters down from his starting place, and there was some energetic residue in the form of an orange glow around his body that was slowly fading away. He then caught his breath and stretched his muscles.
"Phew. Now for some training. I tested how fast I could move, and how strong I was, to an extent. But I never found out what this form could do. Until now." Nebula said as he readied himself.
He crouched and extended his left leg behind him. He then eased forward as he put his fingers from his right hand on the ground as his right knee bent with him. His other hand was behind him as he counted down.
His gaze focused on a rather large boulder situated somewhere else in the forest as a small smirk was etched onto his face in anticipation of the starting position he had placed himself in.
"5..." He began the countdown.
"4..."
"3..."
"2..."
"1..."
"Hey, you!" Someone shouted. They jumped down the mouth of the small cliff formed by the depression and into the first crater.
Right after he said 1, a girl appeared from the bushes and saw what happened to the place.
She was fair-skinned and had emerald eyes and light brown hair that was about waist length. Most of her bangs were long, reaching down to her eyes, curling outwards or inwards to her face, with a split on the upper corner side.
Her height was around 4'10", and had a rather small B cup size. She wore a black tank top and short-short style one piece with some silver detailing and a belt around her waist. This was worn underneath a dark blue, oversized jacket with black, silver, and white detailing.
Her eyes turned into comical saucer plate-sized swirls as she surveyed the damage briefly, but once she saw the man in a stance she diverted her gaze to him.
But as she landed, Nebula's countdown was up, and as he dashed, there would be a sonic boom behind him that the girl would have to brace for as trees, rocks, and dust alike was blown back.
SONIC BOOM!!!
WHOOSH!
The girl was left in the dust as Nebula was far gone by the time the girl opened her eyes.
"What the hell was that?! And who was that guy?" She asked herself. She then heard another loud impact some distance away immediately after the man had disappeared.
"I have to get him to stop, or he'll end up hurting somebody with all this destruction!" She said with determination as she ran towards the sound of the impact.
"1..."
"Hey, you!"
SONIC BOOM!!!
ZOOM!
And he was off, the speed he boasted kicked back dust onto whoever ever was behind him as he dashed towards the target.
DASH!
SWING!
JUMP!
DODGE!
SLIDE!
SPRINT!!!
He propelled himself forward at breakneck speeds, having to constantly redirect himself by pushing off trees and swinging on some branches as he maintained the current momentum.
LEAP!
SNAP!!!
SONIC BOOM!
But when the boulder, that was the size of a small building according to Nebula's heightened analytical skills, was spotted, the tree that he pushed off of snapped in two with another sonic boom following.
"Haaaaaaa!" He shouted as he zoned in on the boulder. His fist was cocked back as he closed the distance.
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!!!
KICK!
SOMERSAULT!
LAND!
CROUCH!
When he was upon the structure, he let his fist fly as he punched right through the boulder like butter once again, akin to the first one.
But instead of one-shotting the boulder, Nebula would land strikes consisting of precise punches and kicks around the boulder. When he had finished, he kicked off the boulder and rapidly backward somersaulted into a crouch.
BOOM!
As he landed, the boulder collapsed.
LOUD THUD!!!
This time however, the boulder fell apart rather anticlimactically compared to the other one before, but it still caused a loud explosion from the attack.
The giant rock was just be broken into 20 smaller rocks as he held back a bit to make sure he didn't obliterate it. The rocks were the size of the average van. They all landed at the same time, making one loud thud.
Nebula rose as the dust cleared from the boulder and the rocks. He'd then make a headcount of 20 rocks within a single second, a testament to his increased brain function.
"Hm. Alright, this is lit. Now then..." Nebula said as he looked to the one nearest to him. It would be about 10 feet away from him.
"I'm sure this form has some abilities up its sleeve. But the catch is that I'll have to figure it out myself." Nebula deduced, cupping his chin.
He pondered for a bit. But then something in the back of his mind told him something.
Do you believe in gravity?...
He then outstretched his hand towards the stone. It felt almost natural as the voice echoed and bounced around in his head.
He poised his palm towards the stone, and focus.
There was nothing at first, just building suspense and a possible feeling of looking stupid.
But then a foreign pull was felt by his hand as the rock began to vibrate a bit.
Nebula raised a brow at the reaction but focused on the rock a bit more.
DRAG!
Then, the rock slowly started to drag itself towards him.
WHOOSH!!!
ZOOM!
Nebula then closed his fist, causing the rock to fly to him at horrifying speeds. The rock almost became a blur with how fast it moved towards him.
"Oh shit!" He cursed.
BLOCK!
SMASH!!!
SHATTER!
So much so, that the god barely had time to block the attack before it smashed into him, breaking into smaller rocks upon impact.
ROUNDHOUSE KICK!
WHOOSH!
He cleared the dust with a roundhouse kick and tries again with a different rock.
This time it was 15 feet away from him. So a further rock would not only test his range but also made it easier on him if he messed up again.
VIBRATE...!
By starting the process again, he pointed his arm and focused. The stone vibrated before being slowly brought towards him. But this time, he flexed his fingers.
PUSH!
WHOOSH!
This reaction caused the stone to be repulsed also at terrifying speeds. This result caused Nebula to be startled at the sudden burst of speed the objects he manipulated were pulled and now pushed.
CRACK!
SHATTER!
It zoomed into the wilderness in a straight line until it hit an obstructing tree, snapping the tree, but at the cost of the rock violently shattering on impact.
FWOOSH!
The impact was heard as a sharp stone from it was dodged by Nebula as it raced near the speed of sound towards him. He dodged it by rearing his head to the left though.
ZOOM!
DODGE!
"Woah there, buddy!" Nebula chirped as he casually dodged it.
"Man, gravity can be a real itch in the anus sometimes. I learn I can manipulate it, and it tries to kill me the first two times I used it!"
He pointed out to no one in particular.
Two of his stones had already been destroyed, and he just learned two powers in exchange.
It took some attempts, about 16 more, 8 for the attractive and repulsive forces of gravity respectively, before he had a decent handle on the technique.
He could now control their direction a little bit as well, making the gravitational pull focus somewhere else.
This limit was 15 meters from the object though, as the influence of his gravity manipulation on a whole would be 30 meters.
With some training, he could probably increase how far he could influence objects.
Nebula was panting as manipulating gravity for the first time would be rather tiring.
"Ha... Ha... Ha... Ha..."
He was left with two more blocks from training. He wiped his brow from the sweat he built from using the primal forces of the universe.
And he had then thought to try something that seemed pretty useful in battle, and if we're being honest, just plain cool.
So what he decided to do was use the rest of the stones to control the speed that he would repel and attract.
"That sure worked up a sweat. But now it's time to try something fun." Nebula breathed out as he pointed his palm to the stone block on the left.
VIBRATE!
He then saw the stone begin to vibrate, signifying his influence on it.
But instead of pulling or pushing it, he tried something else...
'If by clenching my fist, it 'attracts' by flexing my hand, it 'repels', then if I bring my hand down...' Nebula brainstormed as he looked at the rock.
He then jerked his hand down, causing the rock to crack. He realized that there was some resistance, so he pushed down harder.
"Hnn!"
CHIP!
The rock suddenly chipped, with small fragments being exerted laterally as he continued his course of action.
The cracks grew bigger as the gravitational force upon the rock grew and grew.
Nebula was in the zone as he applied more and more pressure. The rock had been majorly damaged with many cracks and fissures, chipping by the moment as it looked as if it were a moment away from collapsing.
He made one more push downwards with his hands as he wanted to break the boulder.
"...HA!"
SHATTER!
Then it did.
CRUNCH!!!
CRUSH!!!
The rock was flattened into many small pieces of pebbles, with those too soon being crushed into dust and sand.
"There... That was uncharacteristically hard... Who am I kidding, I nearly collapsed to transform." He said to himself as some rocks were left.
But when he was about to raise his hand to try again, a voice called out to him.
"Stop right there!" It told him.
He turned around to see the person with the same voice from before.
It was the girl that called out to him from before.
She realized that he was much taller than she expected, and looked eerily similar to the CPUs, almost as if he was one.
As if.
But either way, she had some questions for him at the moment.
"What the hell?" He'd ask. He thought the coast was clear. He mentally kicked himself for being found.
"You're the one that's trying to destroy this forest, aren't you?" She asked back with a serious tone.
"You're out of your mind, lady. I came here to train, not destroy some lame-ass public forestry." He explained in a dismissive tone.
"Then why were you causing massive explosions all over today?" She interrogated. Her eyes narrowed as she asked another question.
"...How do you even know about that? You some kind of stalker, girlie?" The god teased.
"I- No! It was so loud you had to be deaf to not hear it!" She told him, albeit with some tinges of red on her cheeks.
"Psshaw. No one was hurt, so stop putting your panties in a twist, whoever you are, you big stalker you." He said with a slight smirk as he turned around.
"Stop calling me a stalker, you CPU wannabe!" She retorted with an angry tone.
CPU?
He turned and face her with a perplexed visage.
"CPU? Pfft, where did that one come from, are you a stalker AND a wacko? Do I look like a woman to you?" He mockingly asked with a snigger.
"Oh come on! You have the glowing power signals in your eyes and you wear near-identical clothes as them. The only thing your missing is the wings, you big fraud." She countered, causing his face to fall. She has a taunting smirk on her features now.
SUMMON!
"You mean these?" He said as he hopped, then thought really hard about flying, and his processors appeared, or rather materialized.
"..!" Her face was now full of shock, as she saw his processors appear.
"Holy crap..." The girl said slack-jawed.
"Yeah, it's pretty fly if I do say so myself." Nebula joked with a terrible pun as the girl would groan at it.
"Jeez, you're almost as bad as her." The trenchcoat-wearing girl compared.
"Her? Who's that?" Nebula raised a brow.
"None of your business, that's who." She told him as she stared him down.
"Ight. I guess it isn't. The hell's your name anyway because I have a feeling calling you a stalker for any longer's gonna make us fight. And we both know who's probably gonna win." He asked.
"Oh really?" She raised a brow, her pride being a bit hurt from the presumption.
BURST!!!
WINDWAVE!!!
Nebula flared his energy as he caused all the surrounding trees to be blown back as the pebbles from the boulders to be blown away.
"Kyaa!!!"
THUD!
The girl was pushed back flat onto her butt as she didn't expect a surge of power to come forth from the person who looked like a CPU.
Surprising, I know.
The girl then looked up as she saw the man outstretch his hand as he answered her previous question with a smug face.
"Really. Sorry about that, it's just that you started to look like you were gonna do something stupid so I had to stop you before you got hurt. Well, any more than you already did." Nebula responded with a genuine tone.
"Jeez..." The brunette muttered as she should've really thought about instigating a challenge with somebody who looked like the CPUs.
"So your name?" Nebula asked.
"It's IF. Yours?" The now named IF responded. Nebula's eyes slightly widened as he realized that this was the girl that Compa was talking about
"It's..."
Even if she was Compa's friend, he didn't feel comfortable telling someone who accused him of doing something he didn't do (At least not intentionally) his name, so he thought of one on the spot, based on the CPUs, but with his own little twist. He thought she was brave for trying to fight him so...
"Brave Heart." He confidently replied.
"Brave Heart, huh. Don't really see anything that screams brave about you. And I thought you said you weren't a CPU. " IF pointed out with a raised brow of her own added with a slight upturn of the lips. She wanted to make him look stupid at least once for what he did before she let him off with a warning.
"Says the person whose name is a perpetual statement never to be answered." Brave Heart deadpanned.
"That's not what it means!" She snapped at the god.
"Suuuuuuuuuuure, Iffy, Suuuuuuure." He'd drawl with a roll of his eyes.
"And who said you could give me that nickname?!" She'd yell at him.
"Your mom." He rebutted with a stupid grin. Ah, the age-old 12-year-old joke.
"Very mature, Brave Heart, Very mature." IF grumbled in irritation.
"I try."
"You're still destroying the forest though, so I'll have to ask you to go somewhere else to train." She told him.
"...Oh alright. I'll find somewhere else to do this tomorrow. Hey, by any chance do you know what time it is?" Brave Heart would ask her.
She took out a phone from her trench coat. Brave Heart counted 9 phones within the coat once he got a slight peak inside.
He would also notice that she was rather... flat, but kept it to himself as he knew how girls like her reacted to being called such.
Besides, that was a viable weapon if he ever had to roast her.
"It's... 5:37." She stated.
Damn.
"Really?! Shit, I gotta go, Iffy! I owe ya one!"
SONIC BOOM!
FLY!
Brave Heart would thank as he blasted into the sky, creating a small sonic boom as he did.
"Brave Heart, huh? I think Histoire should learn about this." IF said as she walked back towards Planeptune, as she had quests to turn in and info for a certain tome.
"And did he just call me Iffy? Who said he cou- Ugh, never mind. He's gone anyway." She shook her head before walking back to Planeptune.
