Jasmine stood there, quietly staring at the door that Ludwig walked out of. After standing for a few more minutes, Jasmine sighed and sat down on the couch. She took her phone out of her pocket and went to her messages. She scrolled down slightly until she found Ludwig's name. As she clicked on their messages, Jasmine hesitated. Should she text him right now?

After thinking for a moment, Jasmine sat her phone down next to her.

"I should give him some space. He's still pretty mad right now." Jasmine said to herself. She picked up her remote and turned on the tv. As she watched a movie, she sighed again as she thought about her boyfriend.

"Ludwig, I hope you'll be ok."

Ludwig stormed out of the Mushroom Kingdom and passed through the nearby worlds.

"I can't believe this!" Ludwig grumbled as he walked through Layer Cake Desert.

"Junior? King?! I refuse to follow orders from a child!" He exclaimed.

Ludwig eventually made his way to Meringue Clouds. He walked around the world, trying his best to calm down.

"There has to be something I can do! How can I convince Father that I'm the rightful heir?"

"I'm the right choice. I should be King." Ludwig said.

Ludwig walked through Meringue Clouds, lost in thought.

An hour later, Ludwig was still walking on the clouds, thinking of what to do. He left Meringue Clouds and walked through the Cloud Kingdom.

"What can I do..?" He whispered. Then, while lost in thought, Ludwig heard voices up ahead.

"Huh?" Ludwig snapped out of it and looked ahead. There, he saw many different people, Toads, Goombas, and Lakitus walking out of their homes and shopping. There were also a few short, detached, hair-like clouds around the area.

"What is this place?" Ludwig thought.

Ludwig slowly walked closer to the town and saw a sign nearby.

"Welcome to the Cirrus Kingdom." Ludwig read. He also saw a map next to the sign. The Cirrus Kingdom was in the south, the Cumulus Kingdom was in the east, the Stratus Kingdom was in the west, and the Nimbus Kingdom was in the north.

"Four different kingdoms in one area. Wait...Is-Is this place...?"

Ludwig took a step forward, but stopped.

"Maybe I should be in my human disguise. Just to not scare anyone here." After making sure no one was looking, Ludwig took out his wand and used his magic to turn himself into a human. He hid his wand near the sign and entered the Cirrus Kingdom.

Ludwig looked around the Cirrus Kingdom, admiring the sights. A few Lakitus flew past, going into the nearby stores.

"This is amazing!" Ludwig smiled. As he looked around some more, Ludwig felt a small hand tap him.

Turning around, Ludwig saw two children, around 10 years old, in royal attire. The boy wore a gold crown, a green shirt with a brooch, light blue pants, and white shoes. The girl also wore a gold crown, but wore an orange dress with a brooch. The two children smiled at him.

"Hello!" The boy greeted.

Ludwig gave them a small smile. "Hello."

"We've never seen you around here before. Are you visiting the Cloud Empire?" The girl asked.

"I knew it! This is the Cloud Empire!" Ludwig thought.

"Yes, I am." He replied.

"I'm Princess Skyla, and this is my twin brother, Prince Cyrus." Skyla smiled.

"It's nice to meet you two. I'm...Lewis." Ludwig replied, choosing to use a fake name Jasmine gave him a year ago while in his disguise.

"It's very nice to meet you! Welcome to the Cloud Empire!" Skyla said.

"There you two are!" They heard a voice call out. Walking towards them was a man with a goatee and wearing a gold crown, dark blue shirt with a cloud brooch, a white belt, gray pants, a blue and white cape, and black shoes.

The woman with him wore a gold crown, white cloud earrings, and a puffy cloud-like dress with a cloud brooch. Ludwig noticed that the man and woman had the same light brown skin and curly black hair as Cyrus and Skyla.

"Mom! Dad!" Cyrus called out. Their parents ran over to them and hugged the children.

"We've been looking all over for you two!" The father exclaimed.

"You shouldn't run off!" The mother frowned slightly.

Their parents soon noticed Ludwig there and smiled.

"Oh hello there. I'm Emperor Skyler and this is my wife, Empress Amaya." Skyler greeted.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, your majesties." Ludwig replied and bowed slightly.

"This is Lewis. He's visiting the empire today!" Cyrus explained.

"Really? Well, how would you like a tour around the empire, Lewis?" Amaya asked.

"That sounds great!" Ludwig replied. Cyrus and Skyla grabbed his hands and the royal family began the tour.

Ludwig saw the many citizens of the Cloud Empire and interesting areas in each kingdom. His favorite place was the concert hall in the Cumulus Kingdom, where orchestras were usually held. He also learned that the emperor and empress stay in the castle in the Nimbus Kingdom along with their children. The other three kingdoms are ruled by a King and Queen, a Prince, and a Princess. The emperor and empress also have more control than the other monarchs.

After spending time in the Cloud Empire, it was time for Ludwig to head home. He said goodbye to the royal family and made his way back to the entrance of the Cirrus Kingdom. He picked up his wand and turned himself back to normal. He put his wand back inside of his shell and made his way through the Cloud Kingdom. As he walked, Ludwig began to think.

"The Cloud Empire is amazing! It's even more beautiful than Meringue Clouds!"

He thought about bringing Jasmine to the Cloud Empire for a trip someday. She'd love it! Then, when Ludwig returned to Meringue Clouds, a thought came to him.

"Wait. That place is an empire! It's ruled by an emperor! An emperor...That's a higher title than king!" Ludwig began to grin as he got an idea.

"I'll show them! If Father wants Junior to be king, I'll prove that I'm better than him!" Ludwig's grin widened as he made his way back to the Koopa Kingdom.
