TREMORS!
The ground shook with constant momentum.
GUST!
Dust was sent flying into the atmosphere, blow after blow being sent flying towards each side, making the area around them obscured.
LEVITATE...!
Pebbles and stones, glass fragments and cinder blocks that remained, all small objects slowly ascended from the constant pressure.
And the sounds of fists and weapons parting the air could be heard as the fight with Vergo, Gris, DIO, and The World intensified dramatically, fighting in the streets, the vampire filled with reckless abandon.
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!
"ATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA!" The assassin yelled his barrage cry, as he clenched his fists and used the improved version of his signature move, the Hyakuretsu Dan. His fists connected with that of his ghostly opponent as his white aura glowed from the center of his body.
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!
"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!" Vergo yelled as he contested against the might of DIO himself as his fists and legs clashed with the man of the hour as the vampire snarled as he retaliated.
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!" DIO yelled for not only his stand, but himself as well as he had to focus on not only the blonde hindrance in front of him, but the silver-haired upstart, as well as his concentration, was split, dramatically lowering how fast he could let his stand barrage without wasting any movement with potential misses.
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!-
And DIO's silent Stand, The World, was showing some difficulty keeping up with the hitman's movements, as he was trying to match him in speed, only to find out that he was getting faster and faster the more their fists collided, as Gris' aura and physiology as a CPU slowly began to outspeed the unoptimized fighting spirit.
ZWANG!...
"!" The World for the first time was struck across the face by Gris in a head-to-head confrontation as the shock was evident on its face.
DIO's shock was mirrored in a sense, just as the damage dealt onto him was mirrored as well, since his head reeled to the left, blood trailing from his opened mouth as the monstrously fast and powerful trike completely took him off guard.
"Guh!"
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!
The bloodsucker guttered as his staggered state was then taken advantage of as the blonde pummeled him with another set of furious hits.
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!
And since that stagger went for The World as well, Gris completely dominated the ghostly stand as he landed every hit of his SP Skill.
"Ho wata!"
ZWANG!
BOOM!
The hitman finished his move before sending The World flying with a final strike.
The spirit was sent back into DIO as the vampire himself was also sent flying by a nasty hook from the blonde CPU Candidate, the bloodsucker going straight for a building.
"Argh!"
CRASH!
DIO yelled before he crashed into the wall of an office building.
The vampire's body was filled with fist-sized holes that were reflected onto him from The World, as he skidded on his back before regaining his senses, and immediately stopping time at that.
SKID!
"Tch! ZA WARUDO!"
DUBSTEP FART!
TIME STOP!...
The bloodsucker roared before time came to a halt at once.
LEAP!
WOOSH!
DIO picked himself up before leaping through the hole he was just blasted through and beelined for the two fighters.
SUMMON!
He knew that Gris would intercept him if he tried to attack him in any conventional manner, so he used his Stand.
REEL...!
The World quickly reeled back its fist before going for a straight that would for sure decapitate the hitman if it landed.
DUCK!
PUNCH!
Gris became aware if the fatal finisher within the confines of stopped time and aim dodged the straight, ducking right before the fist began to move, the black stand ultimately missing as Gris then fired a blast of Toki at said stand, that maneuvered itself out of the way.
"Blast!" DIO grumbled.
BLAST!-
EVADE!
SUSPEND!...
He then saw the beam firing, as he made his stand move out of the way.
The attack was suspended as it came under the effects of time stop. Gris stayed deathly still as he was using whatever vision his situational precognition gave him, to combat the terrifying speed of The World.
STAND BARRAGE!
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!
DIO then commanded The World to barrage the hell out of Gris while he focused on Vergo.
GUARD!
BLOCK!
Gris couldn't do anything but block as The World's attack trajectory was visible to him but knew his body was nowhere fast enough to outmaneuver them, so he guarded as punishment was doled out to him with both of his arms now moving time stop, using the few precious seconds of movement to align himself to block.
"Grgh!..." The hitman grunted while braving the blitzing blows.
BODY BLOW!
ROUNDHOUSE KICK!
Meanwhile, the vampire sent his fist into the ribs of the CPU Candidate, displacing him slightly before continuing with a roundhouse kick that twisted his neck and face to the side.
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!"
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!
The vampire then boxed the blonde as he used his hands and gave him the one, two at massively hypersonic speeds, hits echoing through the realm of stopped time.
UPPERCUT!
RESOUND...!
DIO finished with a staggering uppercut, forcing the teeth of Vergo shut as his head craned up, his body in an awkward and painful position.
HOP BACK!
DASH!
The creature of the night had the clear advantage in his world of stopped time, and was going to abuse it further as he stepped back before rushing forward for a punch that had the speed of a rocket and the power to level a large mountain.
"WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!-"
DIO was about to cave in the skull of the blonde when his body froze. It contorted and twisted painfully as DIO realized what was going on.
"That sly silver bastard! He used The same trick on me twice! How could I have not noticed!" DIO snarled as his body was about to explode once more.
"FUCKING SHIT!-"
GORY EXPLOSION!
Which it did, drenching Vergo in his blood for the second time.
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!-
GORY EXPLOSION!-
TIME RESUMES!
The World, that was also pummeling the conscious assassin exploded as well in an equally bloody explosion, splattering the assassin as well.
WOOSH!
Vergo was suddenly sent skyward as he let out a painful scream, blood escaping his newly opened mouth, as his body suddenly felt the fractures and damage that DIO did to him in stopped time.
"UAAAK!"
SLAM!
LAND...!
The CPU Candidate yelled before falling back down and slamming into the tarmac. His face had instantaneously gained injuries alongside the rest of his person as he got up, a stinging sensation all over the front side of his body.
"When... When did he..." Vergo was at a loss for words.
"After we kicked his ass into the office building. He stopped time and tried to barrage out time stopped bodies. But I used another move that impeded his progress." Gris smirked as he wiped the blood off of his face.
"Great. I hope the others get here soon, he's starting to become more troublesome as time goes on." The Leanbox CPU Candidate admitted.
"Ironic, since he can halt that." The hitman brought up as the blood of DIO started to pool once more.
"No time for talking. He's coming back!"
REACH!
GRAB!
STANCE!...
Gris realized as the two got back into their stances, Vergo grabbing his displaced pole once more as they felt the blood be levitated off of their persons.
DUBSTEP FART!
TIME STOP!...
"Hah... Hah... Za Warudo, toki wo tomata." The vampire stated as he breathed heavily, the toll of regeneration taking effect.
DIO immediately burst back into a complete person, but not before immediately stopping time once he did.
"Now then. It seems getting close to you at any point in time is bad, so I've decided how to vanquish this dilemma!" DIO smiled as he pulled out his knives.
"!" Gris realized what DIO had planned for him and Vergo almost immediately, using what happened in the Basilicom for reference.
The vampire simply stayed quiet as he began to throw knives upon knives at the duo, from every feasible direction as he moved about, counting the time.
"1 second has passed."
THROW!
SUSPEND!...
He began. He threw a group of knives towards Vergo.
"2 seconds have passed." The vampire continued.
THROW!
SUSPEND!...
He threw another set of knives, this time towards Gris.
"3 seconds. I can see the anxiety, you know."
JUMP!
LAND!
TURN!-
THROW!
SUSPEND!...
DIO mocked as he took two handfuls of knives before jumping in the air and throwing them behind the two gods.
'Damn! I'll be able to evade these knives, but I'll leave Vergo to dry in the sun! I can't lose the numerical advantage!' Gris internally growled as he kept an eye on the knives DIO had as he threw them.
"Four. How will you be able to evade all these knives, pray tell?"
JUMP!
THROW!
LAND!
SUSPEND!...
The bloodsucker asked as he jumped again, placing some knives to go above them, before they suspended shortly after he landed.
"Five!"
DASH!
THROW!
SUSPEND!...
DASH!
THROW!
SUSPEND!...
DIO yelled as he dashed to Vergo's side, throwing a handful, before making The rounds to Gris', throwing his other handful to his side as well.
"Six seconds have passed!"
THROW!
THROW!
SUSPEND!...
The bubbling excitement was getting to DIO as he threw another set of knives in any of the missing areas on the ground that could be openings.
'Maybe I could grab him and gain distance? No, the knives would be too many. Even at speed, I won't be able to guarantee being unscathed with this many knives...' Gris thought as he saw the tens of knives lined up and waiting for the resumption of movement.
"Seven seconds! Oh, how I wait for your body to resemble a pin cushion!"
LEAP!
TWIRL!
THROW!
TWIRL!
THROW!
LAND!...
DIO laughed as he threw some more, jumping up high for any aerial openings to be sealed by him.
How about I just try to use a kiai to disperse all the knives? That sounds solid, but I'll have to account for any extra knives DIO throws as well, not to mention The World.' He continued his monologue as he looked at the knives surrounding the two.
"Eight seconds have passed! I'm counting down to your death, and you two are powerless to stop me!"
THROW!
SUSPEND...!
THROW!
SUSPEND...!
DIO gloated as he let The World take some knives and threw them towards the two, the knives reaching dangerously close to their necks, heads, and cheats.
'Fucking hell! Those knives came way closer than any of their predecessors! I truly have to watch out for that powerhouse if I was to pull this off correctly...!' Gris' eyes slightly widened as he saw the knives an inch away from piercing him, their numbers now in the hundreds.
"9 seconds. Your time is near!"
THROW!
SUSPEND!...
DIO snapped as he took a singular knife and threw it as hard as he could, the knife reaching Vergo's forehead as it was mere centimeters from his temple.
'I have to time this perfectly... I only have one shot at this...!' Gris prepped himself. If he messed up, Vergo's death was guaranteed.
And his own soon after.
''Ten seconds! And that goes for you too, you blasted upstart!''
THROW!
SUSPEND...!
DIO yelled, indignation and revenge coursing in his voice as he greeted the knife at Gris' neck.
'Wait for it...!'
"Toki was ugokidasu!-"
'Now!'
AURA!
RUMBLERUMBLERUMBLERUMBLERUMBLE...!
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
SHOCKWAVE!
DISPERSE!
Gris' Toki flared as he let out a mighty roar, his aura wildly dancing as his voice projected a powerful pressure that shook the earth and buildings around them.
The assassin yelled, a shockwave being emitted from his mouth as he screamed, the kiai making its way as it displaced every single knife as the sound of time resuming could be heard.
"Nani?!" DIO reeled as his plan had been thwarted again by the silver-eyed hitman.
GUST!
The knives would sprawl in random directions, all facing away from the duo as Gris let out a rumbling roar that caused Vergo to guard as he had no idea what was happening, and followed his immediate instincts to guard, the lying rubble and debris being blown away as hectic as the knives.
"What the hell..? Hnn!"
BLOCK!
The blonde asked as he guarded again his ally's roar.
DEFLECT!
GUARD!
DIO used The World to block any of the incoming knives as Gris stopped his kiai, and grabbed Vergo's shoulder before vanishing.
"C'mon!"
GRAB!-
VANISH!...
STAB!
The hitman urged as he grabbed the shoulder of Vergo before moving at vanishing speeds, before the wind started to die down, the knives stabbing into objects such as walls, streetlights, breaking through windows and other objects as the confusion died down with the gusts.
"They've managed to escape. But they won't be out of sight for long."
JUMP!
LAND!-
LEAP!
STAND GLIDE!
DIO stated as he jumped to a wall before leaping off of it and using his stand to glide as he scoured thr streets for the two.
He flew, looking out for the two as he stayed between the buildings.
But unbeknownst to him, on the rooftop of a rather tall structure, stood Gris and Vergo as they hid behind a few large letters that spelled 'FIVE NEPS'.
"..." The two stayed quiet until the silver-haired vampire moved away from them, factoring in any superhuman hearing height have, akin to the two of them.
"What the bloody hell happened back there?!" Vergo demanded quietly, knowing that the vampire stopped time, but was shaken by the random screaming that distorted into existence as tike resumed.
"DIO threw his knives at us, surrounding us with over a hundred of them. I had to use a kiai to disrupt their trajectory so you didnt get stabbed through thr head and me the neck, not to mention becoming pin cushioned." Gris quickly and quietly responded as Vergo absorbed the information.
"He's getting strategic with his moves now. Not to mention we haven't alerted the others of our presence yet." Gris reminded.
"If we try to now though, all we'll do is alert him of our exact position." Vergo recognized their predicament as he looked down at his clenched hands, around his weapon.
"I've been able to move around in his stop time for about a few seconds, added with the fact that most of my body can move as well. But that still pales in comparison to how long he can stop time for, and we're sitting ducks if he pulls a stunt like that again, knowing that we can get out the same way we did the first time." The hitman explained.
"Then how do we stall him?" The blonde asked.
"I have a plan," Gris said before taking out his gun and letting the aura course through it.
CLICK-CLACK!
GLOW...!
Domio twiddled his thumbs as he sat on a sleek chair, that was dark grey as it was being shined on by cybernetic green light that came from around room.
He had followed Taleia to the room, taking an elevator tide before arriving on a specific floor, and walking through some doors before arriving in the dark yet well-lit briefing room.
When he arrived, he nervously took a seat, after Taleia told him to pick on that was next to her, as he decided to take the one closer to thr exit, to be safe.
The meeting was a briefing.
He was sat on a chair as he was next to Taleia, the soldier having her hands clasped together as she waited for the briefing to begin.
Opposite to her, sat a man who was 6'10", equipped in a powered exoskeleton, wearing a futuristic dark green helmet with a yellowish orangish visor that showed no features within it.
His armor was made of a titanium alloy outer shell of the same shade as his helmet, resting on top of a black nanocomposite bodysuit for flexibility, also made of titanium for defensive capability.
He had a capital H on the front of his left shoulder plate as he had a futuristic-looking rifle, far more advanced than the ones the regular soldiers had equipped propped on the side of the desk.
The individual was sat very formally as his arms were folded, sitting in silence as he too waited quietly for the meeting to commence as he noticed the boy's presence, unbeknownst to the preteen who looked at him for a split second, admiring his armor.
"Cool..." Domio muttered, before looking elsewhere.
Next to the armored man, sat an anthropomorphic cat, that was barely over 3 feet tall with striped orange fur that mixed with tarnish white as his head was able to peer above the desk, although not by much, that didn't dissuade him in the least.
His large eyes with bright green sclera with slit pupils looked around at the people at the table before looking over to Domio, taking in the new face as he waved, as Domio realized and waved back.
He wore some protective blue goggles, akin to Domio as well, except his was larger than the preteen. His clothes consisted of a bright blue high neck jacket and some red baggy pants, along with some white steeled-toed boots and some white gloves.
The cat also had a wound on his right cheek as he looked towards the center of the room, towards the screen that was currently blank neon green as he waited for the briefing to begin as well.
And the person next to the cat was a woman at 5'3", with deep red hair tied in shoulder-length pigtails as she wears a pair of black ribbons as her hairpieces.
Her bright emerald green eyes quickly looked around, acknowledging everyone's presence as she and Taleia's connected before she looked to Domio, lingering in a mix of confusion and curiosity.
She wore a white nurse-maid hybrid hat on her head with red outlines as she also had on some coral punk spherical earrings that had a gold piece connecting them to her ear. Her clothes were the mix between a nurse, a maid, and a... Magical girl.
On her neck, she wore a red ribbon with a green centerpiece. Her top consisted of puffy sleeves with a C logo in blocky font on each side, a frilly collar, and a white corset with red strings holding them together. Her undershirt consisted of black skintight spandex that went on her arms, her chest which revealed a very sizeable F cup, and her nether regions.
Her gloves were separated from her sleeves by yellow placements on her arms a distance away from each other. Her gloves themselves were white with red accents and the same went for her boots. Her legs also had the black spandex, and were cut off by the yellow placements.
Her thighs were exposed as her healthy light skin was shown, her top also having frills at the end of her corset apparent as she also had four pieces of fabric protruding from under the frills as they hung from her waist, white and red accents on the outside with a yellow centerpiece, as the underside was orangeish yellow with white accents and darker orange outlines.
She waited patiently for the briefing to begin as she sat on her chair, her eyes scanning her surroundings, to an almost robotic degree.
To the redhead's opposite was a pale puffy pigtailed blonde-haired woman, around 5'02" with light peachy skin, that had her eyes covered by her bangs as she sat, rather uninterested at what was going on, even though her bangs made that extremely hard to tell, only the slight frown even hinting st the fact.
She sat cross-legged on her chair as she wore a dark purple frilly headband with a big bow attached to it, sporting a big orange center with a small purple and blue diamond.
Her outfit consisted of a mauve tank top, paired with a mauve neckpiece and lower arm sleeves, with dark blue ruffles on the ends of each clothing piece with the occasional button on each piece as well. Between her chest and collar, covering her EE cups breasts was some sheer material.
She wore a long skirt that was pale pink while accenting some white in the mix with some pale mauve-pink ruffles underneath and a very pale pink ribbon around her waist with a deco cherry on her side that stuck there very nicely.
In her right skirt pocket contained a blue ghost, akin to a popular arcade game. Her shoes consisted of a pale yellow accent and red soles, the shoe itself being brown, giving it the appearance of chocolate with clasps of strawberries. She also wore white pantyhose.
She also gazed upon Domio and Taleia, before looking back to a nice sundae she had on the table, as she indulged.
And the closest to the left side of the screen was a rather short tanned girl, around a flat 5' was sitting on her chair, as she excitedly waited for the briefing to begin. Her bright red eyes darted around the room, quickly glancing over all the faces in anxiousness and excitement as she glanced at Domio, startling him a bit.
"...!" The preteen reacted when she looked at him.
Her short white hair was held with a large orange hair clip accompanied by a smaller blue one, had a pair of brown cat ears on top of them, and white in the inner ear with some fuzz on them, Domio thinking they were cosplay but when he saw the white cat tail with some brown on the tip wagging excitedly, he started to believe otherwise.
She wore an outfit consisting of a whitish faded yellow tube top with a silver paw shape cut in at the center, revealing a flat cup size, as she was the youngest in the room. And I'm not disclosing that info either. The tube top also had small white ruffles at the bottom as well as orange outlines and a thin brown zig-zag pattern on the center.
The woman's arms and legs were covered with black arm sleeves and leg socks respectively with blue, white, and dull orange on the end. Her gloves were cream and thick with a brown section at the part where her hands were.
Her bottom piece, resembled a faded yellow bikini bottom as it was wrapped around by a black and orange belt with white outlines. She also wore an armored skirt outside of it that was wooden with some metal sections, as some large meral rings hung from some holes at the opening edge of the armored skirt.
The shoes were similar to her gloves, them being simple brown flats with cream leg warmers that had some wooden armor pieces on them with metal sections on the outline and center, as they kicked the desk over and over again in excitement. She impatiently waited for the briefing to begin.
And the final person in the room was a fair-skinned girl, at 5'01" with long teal hair that went to her upper mid-back before upturing was sat, her bright blue eyes wide, but nervously observant. Her orange orb that resided over her silver crown, garnered attention from Domio, which made him and the girl have eye contact before he looked away, getting her interested in him.
"Oh..." She said rather slowly as she saw him staring at her bon-bon.
"Ahem, sorry." The Loweean apologized quickly.
"It's alright..." She closed her eyes and smiled at him, making him feel a bit batter about staring so blatantly.
She wore a pale yellow and orange floral-inspired dress that had silver accenting on the white center of the dress, as well as a silver collar on her neck with a yellow accent on it as well, with the same rings on the arms of her dress sleeves and the colors of her crown.
Her dress even had a flower pattern on the end of the white area on the front of her dress, as her sleeves with a second white sleeve with orange accents.
Her shoes were pale orange flats with green ribbons tied to her ankles, paired with white stockings. Her bosom was relatively flat, AAA to be precise as she sat upright. She too alongside everyone in the room awaited for the briefing to commence.
There were even some guards situated at the exit of the room to ensure confidentiality and security in case of an adverse event, such as some mind-controlled soldiers breaking in, having some laser weaponry on their persons just for the occasion.
Finally, the briefer himself walked into the room. He was an elderly man with white long hair from the old age due to the many years he worked with Leanbox. His thick eyebrows were neutral as his light brown eyes were steeled as he knew what he was here to do, and it was to inform these well-trained soldiers and child... To reclaim his idolized nation from the clutches of chaos.
He had on gold button earrings as his finger brushed by his long mustache, accompanied by a lengthy goatee. He wore some black priest robes, covered by a dark forest green cloak as a golden cross held it together. His pants were also black as he wore combat boots for the occasion as they were in an emergency and couldn't wear his normal church shoes.
His presence had an air of refined experience and wisdom to him as he walked to the front of the room, everyone acknowledging his presence as Domio nervously looked at him. His eyes also looked towards the child, soon to bring up his presence at an opportune moment.
He was Yvoire, the Archbishop and current briefer of the elite within the room. He came of his own volition, proving his dedication to Leanbox, not the fact that the army was currently over expended.
"Alright, soldiers. I'll be brutally honest. Leanbox is in untold peril right now, and no one knows why or how the events have aligned for this to occur." The briefer began. His expression was one of utmost seriousness as he looked to the screen.
SWITCH ON!
He then flipped on the screen, showing the wide-scale damage that had been caused to Leanbox over the past couple of hours.
The screen cycled through some images, all showcased from satellite footage and cameras from government buildings of the numerous damages that the nation sustained all over, millions upon millions of Credits in collateral damage as the citizens were running rampant in the cities.
"And to make matters worse, the reason for this pandemonium lies within the troubling phenomenon that our citizens have gone rogue," Yvoire explained as footage of the mind-controlled citizens were shown, their blank eyes a striking feature as they tore down walls and flipped cars with their surprising strength, and dispatched soldiers with supernatural speed.
The soldiers present reacted as they saw the likes of children, the elderly, the disabled, and even their ravage the nation with terrifying efficiency.
"Our forces have been trying to retake the sectors they've overrun, but we were almost immediately overwhelmed due to their sheer number, and deception of their civilian appearance, many of our soldiers not wanting to use lethal force in faces they may recognize." The elderly man continued as he showed footage of soldiers being slammed through walls and thrown from buildings, which elicited a question from one of the soldiers present.
"How many citizens have been acting like this?" The cat asked, his young voice filled with concern.
"From what our sources gathered, over 95% percent as a rough estimate." Yvoire solemnly answered.
"Ninety-five percent?!" The soldier exclaimed, holding up a sign with pricked shock.
"Yes, Mister Chief. Whatever has taken hold of Leanbox has managed to taint the minds of millions of people in a matter of seconds.
"What exactly are the citizens influenced by, Sir Yvoire?" The redhead soldier asked, her eyes curious at their brainwashed states.
"Well, Cave, our sources also have deduced that the reason our beloved citizens are under the effects of a powerful mind control." The old man answered.
"Mind control?... But how did it affect everyone in Leanbox?..." The jade-haired girl asked slowly.
"Well, the way it was able to affect everyone in such a widespread manner was due to this television broadcast just hours ago." Yvoire changed the screen to the picture of DIO, making sure that it was a still image, and not a moving one, the picture itself being edited by both technical and magical capabilities to prevent any sort of brainwashing.
The picture of a posture DIO came across the screen as all who were present besides, Yvoire, Taleia, and Domio who have already been introduced to the reason Leanbox was in such a predicament.
"He looks so menacing." The cat commented as his eyes widened.
"He's evil for sure." The tanned Neko oogled at the vampire's sinister demeanor as his eyes pierced through the hearts of all present.
"He looks scary..." The bon bon girl cowered, her brows upturning in slight fright.
"He's is attractive, though." The gluttonous blonde complimented as Cave looked at her.
"This is the same man who subjugated our nation to unprecedented chaos even further beyond that of ASIC, Lady Wac." The redhead notified the blonde in a cool manner.
"I'm just being honest." She shrugged, before indulging in her treat.
"I can only imagine the heinous thoughts he has." Mister Chief held up his sign as he looked at the image.
"He calls himself DIO. He's the one who orchestrated the mass brainwashing of the populous, and not only that but also sieged the Basilicom prior and used ASIC's members to help him achieve the bout with another form of mental manipulation." Yvoire continued as Cave's eyes widened.
"The Basilicom?! Is Chika alright?" Her eyes slightly widened out of concern for her good friend.
"We've established contact with one of their guards. She's unconscious, but nevertheless in stable condition that's to the Basilicom medics.'' Yvoire sighed as his coworker was safe and most secure.
"Thank goodness." The redhead sighed.
"But how did he do all that under our noses?" The cat asked the elderly man.
"To answer your question Blinx, the power was cut shortly after he invaded, and he used that grey area of lost connectivity to capture the Basilicom before delving into the city itself. We couldn't establish a connection up to now with the building, but our technicians theorize that he dismantled the power supply from within, making it impossible to fix the problem from the outside." The archbishop explained.
"So we know that he's cunning. But what can he do?" Lady Wac questioned as Taleia looked towards the screen in anticipation of all the newly discovered abilities they might find as he began his explanation.
"An array of abilities, each one more terrifying than the last. From what Taleia has informed us, he's a vampire which already puts him in the mid of a Wolf Level threat I'd we go by his inhuman strength, speed, and durability. Added with his showcased regeneration and apparent night vision from still seeing well in the dimmed lights of Leanbox, any unskilled soldier would meet their end." Yvoire acknowledged his strength from the jump.
"So he's a werewolf?" Moru guessed, completely missing the point of the ranking as she labeled DIO the wrong race.
"No, he's more than that. He's also been stated to be able to summon copies of himself as shadows, fire laser-like projectiles from his eyes, and summon an otherworldly, seemingly invisible force to attack at his whim." Yvoire continued.
"So he can hit you with a boogeyman?..." The bon bon girl realized.
"Exactly Poona. This makes him especially formidable to the fact that you may not even perceive its presence and the force mortally wounds you." The old man stressed as Mister Chief raised another sign.
"How do we even fight against that?" He asked sincerely.
"There seem to be unaffiliated persons currently combating the target, and able to interact and more importantly damage the force," Yvoire stated as he switched through through screens to switch to recorded video of Vergo and Gris charging DIO and an invisible entity, the silver-haired man's punches stopping at a certain space, appearing to be hitting something.
"Vergo and Gris...!" Domio recognized as the others looked at him.
"You know those guys?" Moru looked towards him, curiosity shining through her features.
"Yeah. They're... My friends. I was with them when DIO first appeared and they fought him and his clones in the Basilicom. When he escaped to the city, they gave chase." The boy summarized as Yvoire turned to him.
"I see. Well, they're currently contesting with the vampire as we speak, child. So that's why you brought him here, Taleia." The man turned to the half-elf who spoke up.
"His contacts are familiar with the movesets of DIO, so I thought bringing him along would be beneficial to our cause." The woman of eld descent explained as all looked at her.
"That's actually pretty smart with context... I was wondering if that was some random kid you picked up off the street..." The jade-haired girl wondered.
"No, Poona." Taleia sighed.
"Oh, ok," Poona responded, her wondering being answered.
"So what else can this guy do?" Blinx asked.
"One of our squads met up with a civilian, that informed them of many of the vampire's abilities, some which may be a shock to you present," Yvoire explained as he showed a voice recording.
PLAY!
"So can you tell us what we're fighting against." The recording began.
"Well, from what I've gathered we are currently up against a vampire by the name of DIO, D-I-O in all capitals, that can suck blood, travel through shadows, make shadowy clones of himself, fire lasers from his eyes, freeze you with a touch, with superhuman speed, strength, and dexterity, regeneration from complete destruction down to a pile of blood, not to mention the invisible fighting ghost that moves faster than human comprehension and the arsenal of knives that can make you catch a stroke by being cut alone from sheer fear and the most unimportant part of it all, that he can make time grind to a halt for who knows how long, the threat of instantly being killed ever-present." The voice of Nebula was thoroughly and casually explained as the skills of the vampire became shown on the screen with several icons.
The biggest and most powerful one was that of a stopwatch, which indicated his ability to cease the movement of time.
"N-Nebula?! At least he's with the army..." Domio wiped some sweat off his brow ad he took in all that he said.
"I came here because the timeline was a bit wonky, but he's insane, he can stop time?!" Blinx exclaimed, not expecting somebody to be able to perform an ability if he's in the dimension.
"He can also travel through any shadow, which means even our shadows are viable for a fatal flank." Mister Chief raised his sign with calculation and concern.
"He can freeze you with a touch, so close contact is also risky..." Cave noted as she realized her sniper skillet would be viable against such an opponent.
"And he can come back from a pool of blood, which means that putting him down for good would require complete vaporization. But even then, that's not set in stone." Taleia reminded as Lady Wac spoke up next.
"And those knives could cut through our resolve faster than any food I could stomach." She stated.
"He can suck blood like a mosquito! That's it, he's as evil as can be!" Moru exclaimed once more as she started to sweat from fear.
"And that force... Is a ghost?!" Poona exclaimed slowly, as she looked at the icon of a certain arcade ghost, akin to the one in Lady Wac's pocket.
"All these abilities significantly push him up the ranks. Demon is where Agent Taleia ranked him, and it is a fairly accurate representation if I do say so myself. But with his ability to mind control thousands and stop the gears of time itself, our systems have decided to classify him as a Dragon level threat." Yvoire continued as the soldiers listened in.
"We need you to get to DIO and bring him to his knees. His power is too great to remain alive, so you are granted permission to eliminate him at any cost. Our forces have already suffered heavy casualties in our ranks and we cannot afford to let him and his tyranny destroy our beloved country." The elder cut to the chase as the screen cycled to a map, showing the city of Leanbox, and where DIO currently was as a red dot on the screen, moving quickly down several streets.
"Our navigation team has found where he currently is thanks to the aid of both our military satellite and security cameras on partially destroyed buildings. He is currently in the sector of East Leanbox and is searching for the two individuals as we speak."
SPLIT!
ZOOM IN!
ENHANCE!
Yvoire continued as he then zoomed in on two specific areas as the screen split, which showed a flying DIO and a hiding Gris and Vergo.
"There they are!" Moru pointed at the screen.
"They look beat up... They must have been fighting him for a while..." Poona observed.
"Your mission is to get to East Leanbox and help those two defeat DIO. We will be sending additional reinforcements alongside you such as heavy artillery and coordinated airstrikes." The man finished.
"But wouldn't it be too destructive and costly if you just sent the Leanbox Air Forces on its soil without knowing his exact position?" Blinx questioned.
"Well you can always revert the damages with your abilities, Blinx, so do not worry." He answered the cat.
"Right." The striped feline nodded. His abilities should be able to undo the damage done.
"What about the squads that are trying and falling against the civilians?" Cave asked.
"That's where our NLSS come in." Yvoire turned to the RRoD member.
"NLSS?" Domio asked.
"Non-Lethal Suppression Squads." Taleia quickly whispered to the child, who nodded in enlightenment.
"While we send all our remaining forces directly to DIO, with weapons that deal that harm, our NLSS squadrons with being handed Mark IV power armor suits and nonlethal weaponry with their own mission of taking down brainwashed citizens," Yvoire explained.
"So you've taken all of the outdated power armors and gave them to some soldiers?" Mister Chief raised his sign.
"Precisely. With NLSS dealing with the citizens, and you all who are gathered here, the soldiers, and the unaffiliated party dealing with DIO, we will have our golden chance to save Leanbox from destruction." The archbishop answered.
"How about we use garlic? I head that works against Vampires." Lady Wac contributed.
"I mean, he can stop time. And there's that ghost. You'd have more trouble getting the garlic near him than using it." The Loweean child explained.
"Fair point." The aged woman conceded.
"Failure is not an option. The fate of Leanbox rests on your shoulders, if not the rest of Gamindustri. Do Green Heart proud and defeat this monster for the sake of everyone who has been affected by this cruel creature of evil!" Yvoire rallied as those in the room were given their mission.
"When do we leave?" Mister Chief asked, his sign somehow emanating curiosity.
"The convoys are ready to be boarded. You will head to Eastern Leanbox in 5 minutes. Get prepared, and meet the driver's downstairs by the garages." The archbishop informed as the soldiers responded.
"Sir, yes sir!..." They chanted. Domio just saluted, for moral support.
"-I repeat, all remaining forces head towards the east sector! You are to engage with the target sent to your radars. Defeat him at all costs, if you fall, Leanbox falls with you!" The radio shouted as the patrolling protagonist team became on edge from the message.
"What?!" The first lieutenant staggered before the recording continued.
"The originator of all the chaos in Leanbox has been located. Seek him out and use lethal force to take him down, and out. Failure is not an option. If your death means Leanbox's salvation, then by Lady Vert you'll die for this country, goddessdamnit! Now get your asses over there, over!'' The message ended as Nebula and AL looked at each other warily before looking at the soldiers.
"That wasn't foreboding and dark. Leanbox really is going to shit from a fabulous vampire and his posse of wrytards." The adventurer looked away as he sighed.
"I think this entire situation hasn't been anything but dark and dangerous. I mean, DIO literally wears almost all black like one of those emo kids and the number of people that have been turned into hollow husks of themselves." AL compared. "It's basically apocalyptic." He continued.
"We've been training for things like this since we enlisted." A private spoke up. "We all knew what we were getting into. I even thought I'd just be in the barracks until I retired. But now I have a pretty bad feeling about what's gonna happen." The soldier admitted, gripping his gun tighter in anxiousness.
"Well, you've survived this long. Getting cold feet would be dishonorable at this point, private." The sergeant looked to his lower-ranking soldier.
"And the last thing you want to show in front of that bastard is fear. So steel it, because we have some work to do."
PUNCH!
FLAMES!...
AL told the private as he punched his fist together, some embers being ejected from the friction and contact of his bare knuckles.
"Understood." The corporal breathed out as he felt the hairs on his neck raise, thinking about confronting the person that could do this to their city.
"I don't blame them for getting nervous before we fight him. With the arsenal of powers that he possesses, we could literally
blink and we'd all instantly fall victim to his might." Nebula honestly admitted.
"We can account for almost anything he throws at us. It's just his damn time stop that will fuck us over in the end." The lieutenant got to the chase and the biggest problem.
"I don't want to be firing at him and suddenly I have a hand through my chest cavity, but that sounds like a risk I'll have to take no matter the likelihood. I just hope we can take him down before we have to wait for the sun or something." A staff sergeant commented.
"As surefire as that would be for Leanbox's victory, I doubt with extreme prejudice that DIO will drag out the fight that long, nor will we be able to stall him long enough for that Ironic fate to occur in which he gets evaporated by the sun. But it's a good last resort, as simple and bare-bones as it is." Nebula admitted.
"I just hope they took your laser tank advice to heart." The private was brought up.
"I have a feeling they did, since I also basically told them around 80%, if not all of DIO's abilities. We should head towards the fight, now. The more we talk, the more crafty he gets for some twisted reason." The adventurer moved on as he looked ahead of them as they walked briskly.
"You're absolutely right. Let's pick up the pace, soldiers!" The lieutenant commanded as the rest of the soldiers responded.
"Sir, yes, sir!"
JOG!
They shouted before they started to pick up the pace.
"Well, they're off. Wanna jump ahead of them so that we can make sure they don't suffer any casualties..." Nebula turned to AL.
He reciprocated with a dull look.
"...Major casualties?"
A deadpan.
"Fine, a lot of casualties. Why are you inviting that people are going to die?" Nebula gave in, not wanting to use up any more time.
"Because death is an inevitability of war. If they can come to terms with their death, then it blocks any fear DIO might take advantage of."
BOOST!
AL explained as he began to fly.
"You're right, but at least let them have some form of morale. Better than the cold hard truth." The adventurer tried to soften the words.
"Their job is to die for their country. I don't think it gets much harder than that. It was cruel to let them believe that they had any real semblance of a chance against DIO as normal people. But we need all the help we can get, and if they want to, let them." AL solemnly stated.
"Now let's go find Gris and Vergo since they've been fighting that bloodsucker for far too long by themselves." The afro warrior informed.
"..." The blue-haired warrior remained silent.
FLY!
VOOM!
Nebula stayed quiet as he rose off the ground with his barokinesis and followed his fiery friend.
...
...
...
"...You sound like Mr. Mūten-" Nebula blurted.
"Oh, fuck off." AL spat as the adventurer chortled.
DIO scoured the streets, on the prowl for the two gods as he used his superhuman senses to track them down.
He even sent shadow clones to investigate the sector as he flew above the streets with The World, an overlying view of the streets below for a more widened perception as his dark clones spread throughout their shadows to look for the two.
"To even think that you can hide from DIO is a waste of brainpower!" The vampire smirked as he looked from side to side, peering through windows as he looked for his opponent.
Within one of those buildings though...
Contained a waiting Gris, his gun glowing as he hid behind a wall in between two windows. His breathing was controlled as his ability to sense energy picked up that DIO was approaching him.
He had climbed up one of those office buildings with his superspeed and was currently enacting the plan he had relayed to Vergo. His part of the operation was set, as he contacted the blonde to hear what his condition was on his end.
'Vergo. Are you in position.' The silver-eyed gunslinger mentally contacted the CPU Candidate.
'Affirmative. Ready when you are, Gris.' The blonde staff user responded, perched on the top of an adjacent building. He flew up and perched himself there when DIO was at the edge of the sector before making a returning sweep for the two of them.
He currently had his staff equipped as he pointed it at an incoming DIO. The blonde was ready for the storm.
'Good. Here he comes...!' The hitman felt his heart beating through his chest as the moment they had been waiting for came.
"The longer you hide, the more tortuous your demise!" DIO barked before letting out a psychotic laugh. He was within the sights of Vergo as Gris felt him pass by.
'NOW!' The assassin yelled as the blonde's eyes narrowed as he whispered his SP Skill.
"Zephyr."
WIND PRESSURE!
Vergo jabbed his pole as he sent a concentrated point of wind pressure towards DIO.
The attack zipped through the air as DIO's ears picked up on the sound as it approached him.
"Hm!"
DODGE!
BOOM!
CRASH...!
He reacted as he dodged the attacks as it crashed into a nearby building, busting through a large chunk of wall as it missed.
DIO looked around sporadically for the origin of the attack, but Vergo moved from the position he was originally in, moving from roof to roof, as he kept up with the vampire as he was looking around where he originally fired.
"It came from that direction!" The dark bloodsucker identified the attack's origin as he turned to quickly close the distance between him and Vergo's last known position.
SHATTER!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
SHATTER!
But as he did, Gris busted through the glass, and fired several shots at the vampire, all coated with his aura, as well as being transfused with some share energy.
DIO twisted his head to see the high-speed bullets approach him, The World getting in position to block the unnaturally quick projectiles.
Gris quickly went into another building before DIO could pick up on him with his superspeed, performing those attacks as an unintelligible glowing blur.
"!"
MOVE!
GUARD!-
''Zephyr!"
WIND PRESSURE!
The World moved to block the blows, but as soon as it did, Vergo fired another Zephyr shot at the seemingly exposed DIO.
DIO put up his arms and crossed them, before cross guarding against the attack as it was deflected by the on guard vampire.
"Hmph."
BLOCK!-
SHATTER!
BANG!
BAMG!
BANG!
BANG!
SHATTER!
But as the vampire defended against the attack, the assassin managed to burst through another building after crashing through an undamaged window, firing more shots at the Stand User, drawing his attention once more.
WIND PRESSURE!...
WIND PRESSURE!...
WIND PRESSURE!...
DIO turned around once more as his stand punched the massively hypersonic rounds as it was distracted once more. As it dealt with the apparent diversion, Vergo fired three more attacks at DIO, all from different angles.
DODGE!
WEAVE!
MISS!
SHATTER!-
The vampire quickly weaved and maneuvered as he looked for the origin of the attacker once more, once again left with no perpetrator. He was then met with more bullets as the shattering of building glass was heard for the third time.
"UREEEEEEEEEY!"
JET LASER!
DIO released a large laser from his eyes, a powered-up version of his Space Ripper Stingy Eyes, right towards the building.
BOOM!
EXPLOSION!
WOOSH!
The line of destructive energy went straight for and destroyed the building that last contained Gris in a loud explosion as glass, dust, and debris was sent flying from sheer destructive potency.
VANISH!-
But the silver-haired assassin wasn't out, as he had long landed from the jump of the no longer standing structure and was currently on the window on another, his feet to the glass as he was crouching, ready to jump once more as his gun was in hand.
He disappeared in a blur of lines as he moved in a straight line from one building to the next.
JET!
CUT!
...
CRASH!
DIO heard the vanishing sound as he fired another eye beam at the building, cutting it in half as he turned his head as he looked at the structure.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
GUARD!
As the building top crashed down, glass and dust being spread as debris was formed, The hitman fired more bullets before landing on another window, vanishing once more after he did.
VANISH!-
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
GUARD!
VANISH!-
JET LASER!
The World kept blocking the bullets, but its master didn't expect the second round of projectiles to come almost right after as he vanished.
EXPLOSION!
RUMBLE...!
CRASH!...
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
DIO fired yet another laser, the third building in the area being destroyed as it died in a brilliant explosion from his amped Space Ripper Stingy Eyes at full capacity.
GUARD!
RICOCHET!
RICOCHET!
RICOCHET!
More shots were fired as DIO himself had to move out of the way as the bullets became more frequent and less sparsed as he used his stand to deflect some.
DIO himself moved around the other two but wasn't prepared for another Zephyr from Vergo as the wind pressure hit him right into the back of the head as he was blindsided by the invisible attack, showing nothing more than a force that was concealed by Vergo's mastery over the move.
BOB!
WEAVE!-
WIND PRESSURE!
BOOM!
"He's moving around so fast I can't keep up with his movements!" The vampire noted as he craned his head to dodge the last two gunshots.
"Guagh! What?!" DIO looked behind him as he saw no trace of what had hit him again, infuriating him further as he could not pinpoint the origin of that pesky attack.
ZOOM!
BANG!
ZOOM!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
ZOOM!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
ZOOM!
BANG!
BANG!
GUARD!
But he couldn't afford to linger in his auxiliary search as Gris began bouncing around the buildings at an increasing pace, becoming a web of lines that bounced off of the remaining buildings, his bullet's origin points becoming unpredictable and random as he pressed the trigger at unorganized time frames, only adding to the confusion as DIO struggled to dodge and weave as The World punched and deflected what it could.
WIND PRESSURE!
BANG!
BANG!
WIND PRESSURE!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
WIND PRESSURE!
WIND PRESSURE!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
WIND PRESSURE!
And with Vergo becoming more frequent with his long-ranged attacks, he started to mix it up with KI blasts as the two of them spammed their projectiles, staying their distance from the vampire so that he couldn't reach for them, and also staying untraceable so that he couldn't locate them, even accounting for stopped time.
PIERCE!
PIERCE!
PUSH!-
PIERCE!
PIERCE!
PUSH!-
PIERCE!
DIO was becoming overwhelmed, as the attacks began to teat through his defenses, damaging him as he felt his body parts being punctured by the bullets as the air pressure attacks displaced him as it hurt him, sending him into the array of bullets as they hurt him even more.
His rage grew ever more fervently as he was pushed around and damaged, The World trying but failing as its master now couldn't predict where the bullets were coming from anymore, even with the stand's superior speed and reaction due to their unidentified positions.
Even if he managed to evade due to his vastly superior reaction time, Vergo's attacks would offset him right into the path of the attacks, setting him up for direct damage as he was unable to get rid of the increasingly bothersome issue as he snarled and growled like a cornered animal as he was effectively trapped.
He was slowly being worn down, and he had to do something about it, and time was of the essence.
So he did what he did best.
PIERCE!
PIERCE!
PIERCE!-
DUBSTEP FART!
TIME STOP!...
The environment went through an array of colors once more before all motion in the universe came grinding to a halt.
"Za Warudo. Toki wo tomare." DIO stated that he used his touted ability to halt the flow of conventional time. He moved out of the way of the attacks as he now had time to think how to get himself out of pickle he had been thrust into.
"They've managed to pull the rug from under my feet back there, but in the world of stopped time, I reign supreme! If even those wretched Joestars fell from my absolute power, they so shall the two of you!" DIO roared as he flew around, woth his wounds still present searching for the two.
He looked, but even the distinct white line that Gris left as he moved led to nowhere in particular as even in stopped time, his afterimages looked real enough to simulate his simultaneous existence. Ans that blasted blonde-haired twit was still nowhere to be found.
"AL this rate, they'll manage to evade me by the time my ability ends. I'll have to go through the process of elimination. If I just destroy every nearby building they could be in, it will weed them out, and expose them which will mean they can be killed!" DIO screamed as his eyes glowed red as he looked around, wondering how to go about this.
"I won't be able to take down every single building if I target them traditionally, but..." He paused before looking straight down to the ground below him.
But if I concentrate the explosion yield all into one concentrated location, then the resulting explosion when time resumes will encapsulate all of them in the blast radius! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
JET LASER!
JET LASER!
JET LASER!
JET LASER!
JET LASER!
JET LASER!
JET LASER!
JET LASER!
JET LASER!
ASCEND!
DIO laughed maniacally and maliciously at his quickly cooked-up plan as he fired many Space Ripper Stingy Eyes at the ground, as he flew higher and higher-ups into the air with The World.
"UREEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAA!"
SUPERCHARGED JET LASER!
SUSPEND!...
DIO fired ten blasts, one increasingly more destructive than the last as they all were concentrated into one point on the ground as he flew higher and higher up. His back blocked the moon from the laser's perspective as he charged one more time and formed a bright blinding light in his eyes before firing a beam on par with one of those shonen anime attacks as it reached the epicenter of the other blasts.
DIO then uttered the phrase as he floated high above the city as he spoke, proud of his work as a master artist.
"Toki was ugokidasu!"
TIME RESUMES!-
MIGHTY EXPLOSION!
SHOCKWAVE!
EARTHQUAKES!
GUST
SHATTER!
DESTROY!
He yelled with brazen as time resumed, the laser-like attacks finally hitting the ground.
ZOOM!
GRAB!
The movements of Gris and Vergo continued as the assassin, who immediately reached for the blonde became wise to DIO's ploy, and knew what he had sent all those blasts there for during the duration of paused time.
He wasted not a single breath grabbing the CPU Candidate as Vergo became confused and shocked at the random action.
"Oi! What are you-!"
"GET DOWN!"
EXPAND!
The Leanboxian was interrupted as the assassin told him what was going on in one loud shout.
The silver-haired god screamed before the explosion expanded, engulfing all the buildings nearby as it continuously grew.
Gris clung onto his ally as his super jump kept them ahead of the blast for now, but the rate of expansion from explosion was increasing as it neared the two of them.
"Vergo! Use your aerokinesis and push us away from the blast! Don't aim at it, or you'll add to its speed!" Gris yelled through the chaos behind them as Vergo nodded.
GRAB!
LET GO!
SPIN!
GUST!
VOOM!
SONIC BOOM!
He grabbed onto Gris's vest as the assassin let go of him, before twirling rapidly as the wind around them acted like the inside of a cannon before they were ejected out of the mini air barrel at insane speeds, creating a small sonic boom that gave them enough distance to not be caught into explosion yield.
However, they were, unfortunately, a little too close when the explosion finally reached its pinnacle, the shockwaves sending them hurling into a few buildings as they were carried across the landscape by the resulting wave of wind energy.
WINDWAVE!
DEAFENTIING BOOM!
Many buildings were destroyed as DIO laughed hysterically observing all of the destruction from above, tens upon tens of buildings being destroyed as a huge dome of energy was formed, billions of Credits in property damage alone was being caused in the heat of the moment. The explosion could be seen throughout all of Leanbox as the attack shook the island for almost several minutes on end.
"UAAAH!"
CRASH!
CRASH!
ISLAND TREMORS!
The two yelled as they crashed through multiple buildings and apartments, getting displaced as they were separated which made them cause even more damage as they lost the number advantage.
"Mwahahahaha... Ahahahaha!... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
STAND FLY!
DIO indulged as he saw the bright explosion of his creation engulf his view as he flew over it to marvelous its sheer size.
As he ascended, he saw the two large paths of destruction before they ended in two collapsed buildings.
Not like it was easy to tell since that attack basically could level the entire nation if it was more widespread than concentrated, and even concentrated it still managed to severely destroy all the buildings within and near its blast, and cause the others to be severely damaged, if not to collapse on its fractured weight.
But since their paths were so much more distinct, it wasn't hard for the vampire to find out where they were.
"WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
ZOOM!
So through the tremors, he flew to the one closest to him before yelling as he zoomed through the air, his cry being heard as he closed in on the person that lay within their path.
BARRIER!
SHOCKWAVE!
COLLAPSE...!
STRUGGLE!
The vampire closed in onto the building which contained Vergo as the blonde quickly put a compressed dome of air around him, the thickness of the construct going towards the part where DIO struck as a shockwave blew back all of the rubble, making the building collapse around them.
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!"
DOUBLE BARRAGE!
The red-eyed monster of darkness pummeled the shield, with his stand by his side as the two of them bombarded the forcefield with countless punches and kicks as they sought to break the windy wall, to get to a defending Vergo.
Vergo gritted his teeth as he was being pushed back from the force as he tried his utmost not to be overcome by the vampire and his stand.
"I'LL BEAT YOU INTO A BLOODY PASTE!"
BOOM!
The bloodsucker roared as he and The World both clasped their hands, their bodies arching back before their hands blurred as they brought them forward, causing a combined force so powerful that it dispelled the barrier with a shockwave that blew away the wind dome.
"Shite!''
SKID!-
STOP!...
The blonde yelled as he was staggered from the move, his feet skidding to the edge of what remained of the small platform that he stood on, the rest of the building destroyed.
"Your final moments have arrived, now perish!" DIO yelled as his stand stretched out its arms and legs, alerting Vergo of what he was about to do.
"!"
GRAB!
GLOW!
EXTEND!
The purple pupiled CPU Candidate's eyes widened as he grabbed his staff before making it glow as he extended it towards his head.
"ZA WAAAAAAARUDO-"
TIME STOP-
VOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!-
DROP KICK!
CRASH!
But the weapon wouldn't be able to reach the bloodsucker in time as he began to utter the words.
"URAGH!"
TIME RESUMES!
LAUNCH!
DIO yelled as the fluctuations of colors and the slowing of time was interrupted as The World's face was caved in by Gris' foot as his slippers indented the head of the ghostly fighter.
ZOOM!
CRASH!
CRASH!-
LARGE EXPLOSION!
DIO's face mirrored his stand as multiple teeth here shot out of mouth, his jaw being shattered as it was moved at an awkward angle, his eyes bulging as his body was soon sent into a factory, before he crashed into a power core, causing an explosion that threw Vergo off his platform as Gris guarded mid-air.
"Argh!"
FALL!
The blonde yelled as he fell off the piece of platform he stood on, the wind waves pushing him to the ground
"...!" Gris cross guarded as he resisted the wind trying to push him back where he came from.
The winds slowly died down as the two found themselves on the ground, conveniently next to each other as Gris was now voided of his vest, his chest exposed as some wounds that resembled specific constellation were apparent on his abdominals and chest.
AURA!...
He was also breathing heavily as he was glowing like a kid's nightlight, his glowing starting to fade.
"Where the bloody hell were you, fam?" The CPU Candidate asked his godly elder.
"I was keeping low as I concentrated all of my energy into an aura, increasing the speed I would travel at, as I also used my electricity to increase the reaction and decrease the time it took to move and drop kick DIO, flanking and punting the bloodsucking bastard while he was busy spouting out his antagonistic victory dialogue." The assassin explained as Vergo looked at him with an intrigued and impressed expression.
"But do you still have enough energy left to fight him?" The blonde asked a very good question.
"To answer that, I'm not too sure myself. My electrotherapy might nullify the fatigue I should feel after such a maneuver. But I still do have a few tricks up my sleeve so if he proves to be as troublesome as he makes himself out to be, I'll pull out the big guns." The silver-eyed hitman further explained.
"Then why didn't you go all out in the fucking FIRST PLACE!" The divine time traveler yelled.
"Well, Vergo a Go-Go, if I did use my full power, like every overconfident lancer, we'd be in an even worse situation if DIO was still washing us." The hired killer brought up a point.
"Then what we're we doing for the past hour?" Vergo asked sarcastically.
"Stalling." Gris blurted.
"Shut up, fam." The blonde deadpanned.
As soon as Vergo finished responding, the deadly alliance sidestepped as a Space Ripper Stingy Eyes divided them, as DIO made himself known once more.
"To think you lowly dogs could catch me off guard not once, but twice. Well, every dog has his day, as they say, but these filthy mutts are to be put down."
REGENERATION!
The vampire snarled as his wound had finished up regenerating.
"Put down? Do you think you can put us down without being thrown the bone of killing one of us? How preposterous!" Gris goaded as he let out a dry laugh, only serving to harm the pride of DIO.
"Be silent, you mongrel! I've had enough of hearing your disgusting voice pierce my eardrums. When I'm finished with the likes of you two, I'll be sure to remind your allies of your insignificant and disappointing demises, paying no mind to the euphoric catharsis I will feel!" DIO yelled as his eyes glowed red once more.
"Well, unfortunately for you, those blue balls are gonna have to linger a bit longer." Nebula's voice pierced through the air as he and AL were revealed standing on top of the factory rubble as the afro warrior had his arms folded, with a serious expression present as the CPU himself sported a confident grin.
"Ho? More of my targets have arrived. It seems that the cavalry has come to die right before me!"
BFFT!
SUMMON!
The bloodsucker shouted as he brandished The World once more as it had been absorbed back into him due to being hit.
"Ho!? More bullshit coming out of your mouth? It seems you have brain damage from all that head trauma!" The assassin responded as DIO growled in his direction, Nebula and AL snickering in the back.
"Your mockery of my words will be the last thing that comes out of your wretched mouth." The vampire seethed as the military soldiers were the next to arrive.
"There he is!" The lieutenant pointed as DIO's eyes gazed upon the squishy human soldiers.
The creature of the night smirked as The World stretched out its limbs, giving away what it was about to do to those that could see it.
"Fire at will!" A sergeant yelled as the laser rifles were pointed towards the target, as DIO's mouth opened, Vergo and Gris rushing the bloodsucker as they yelled in defiance.
"WE'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT IN TIME!" The silverette shouted as he stuck out his index and middle finger before reeling it back.
"STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM!" The blonde roared, before grabbing his glowing pole and bringing it up before swinging it down.
Nebula stood on the pile as he got into a stance before AL did the same. They both charged a blast that was orangish white before they fired it at the vampire.
DIO simply brought his arms to a T before he yelled as if he had waited so long to utter the legendary words.
"ZA WARUDO!"
DUBSTEP FART!
TIME STOP!
A/N:
Heya there, reader!
If you're seeing this, this is a rewrite of the chapter, just to correct some repetition, fix some spelling errors, and improve the spelling quality, especially in the earlier chapters.
So remember, italics and bold is going for gold.
And that's another chapter done. Whew. I can't believe it took two weeks again! Damn. I really gotta start brainstorming more.
But anyway, things are being set into motion by the second as events fold as the battle rages on. DIO is on the prowl as Vergo and Gris are finally met with opportune reinforcements, but hope was short-lived as the bloodsucker pulled the brakes on time once more!
And on the other side, Domio and Taleia have met up with not only Cave but manga only such as Mister Chief and a feline friend that might have more to him than he lets on. The Commanders also make themselves known as a plot to defeat DIO is hatched, adding more to the reinforcing on the way.
And the nice thing about Blinx is that he's in the public domain, so I don't even need to add a Neptunia spin on him! Would you look at that.
But anyway, Sorry for yet another late update, I'm really getting caught up with stuff and I just got back into the groove. But I'll make sure this arc has a few more references and cool moments before we head back to canon.
And that's all for now.
Arrideverci.
