Yvoire anxiously stared at the screen before him, as he stood as still as a rock, his hands behind his back with his eyes glued to the digital map that was shown on it.
Other tech support personnel and military workers were present in the room as the archbishop had moved to the information sector of the base, as they monitored the progress of their teams as statutes were being received to the point that it was almost overwhelming.
"The convoy squad has been KIA!"
"Contact with the NLAA squads has been lost, Yvoire!"
"Navy reinforcements are receiving heavy casualties!"
"Air Force has been deployed!"
The archbishop stated at the screen, which showed the position of the naval units more specifically as many blips that were once present had been wiped off the map, only less than 40% of the force remaining as the big red blip which represented DIO was glowing brighter than ever.
Higher ranking soldiers began to answer alongside the elder as their voices were heard as
"Send retrieval units to recover what resources they can. They died for a valiant cause." A lieutenant commanded.
"They've most likely perished. Send more personnel to continue where they left off, we cannot afford to have our cities I've run with his minions in the rebuilding process!" Yvoire ordered.
"Permit them to use nuclear and thermonuclear weaponry! This is a battle we cannot lose!" A captain yelled in desperation.
"Direct them to the eastern quotes at these coordinates and have them launch an airstrike!" A general pointed to the big red dot as he prattled the geographical position of DIO.
"Yes, sir/ma'am!" The soldiers responded as they set out to do what was instructed to them.
The elder archbishop had his gaze locked on the screen until he heard the steps of a particular individual that caused him to turn.
He laid his eyes on a rather tall woman, who stood around 6'2", and possessed ginger orange hair that went no lower than the base of her nape. Her palish face sported slight freckles as her defined brows slightly furrowed as her jade eyes gave a piercing gaze to the priest.
Her armor was grey, plated, and futuristic, as she had the acronym of the Leanbox's Special Missions Department's top division being the Overt Bastion Corps on the breastplate of her armor, with some red accents on the belt buckle and the insignia on her chest.
The suit itself was slightly scratched up but did nothing to hide her athletic frame as she stood, her CC cups held in a comfortable place by the armor. Her strapped to her back and handgun to her hip, the soldier spoke with importance.
"Yvoire. I am here to report that Mister Chief and his subordinates have returned to base." The militant woman informed.
"Thank the goddess! They have been treated and are ready for questioning I presume, General Shepherd?" The elder quickly directed.
"Yes, sir. They also request that Mister Chief be given clearance to use the Mark VII armor." The woman stated as the elder's eyes widened.
"What?!" The archbishop's eyes widened. "Do they not know the processes that would be necessary to even allow the concept of clearance for such an experimental prototype!" The old man began.
"To even bring up a utility that has called on resources that have been provided by both Lastation and Planeptune in terms of trillions of dollars and the appropriative materials respectively is completely justified as the same amount of money it has coated us to produce is the same amount, if not more of collateral damage that DIO has caused." The female soldier stated as she vyed for its use.
"That is true, Bio. But we cannot jump so suddenly to use such a volatile power suit. Our scientists aren't even completely certain it can last in extended combat with its nuclear fission battery and nanomachine technology. It could potentially be suicide to him if it is not up to standards!" Yvoire tried to dissuade the soldier.
"Let me wear the armor, sir." A rather deep voice sounded as eyes were drawn to its owner, the sound rarely being heard as the super-soldier made himself known.
"M-Mister Chief!" The archbishop of Vert jolted as he was present with injuries, the bandages still bleeding through as he was seen without his armor, his rugged and battle-hardened features shining through his unmasked face.
"If we don't implement every course of action at this point, we're as good as dead. We need to use the armor." The elite soldier showed his sign.
"But-"
"With all due respect, Yviore shut the fuck up and let him use the armor. The more we decide on whether he can use it or not is the more of our men and women die out on our waters." Bio was not in the mood for another reason as to why the super soldier was barred from using the tech.
"Damn. Shepherd's not letting Yvie turn this one down." Betty peered through the side, as her head and other areas of her body were bandaged. She wore an undamaged set of military personnel clothes as she eavesdropped.
"She's damn right. Archbishop would never use his goddess' experimental and prototype weapons without her express permission, even if it was for the sake of the country, which is right now." Avery explained the situation to her. He also had a fresh uniform and some bloody bandages.
"So pushing him to come to a decision is better? Wouldn't that make him more likely to decline the offer, if anything?" The servicewoman inquired.
"Well..." The private trailed as he motioned to the scene.
"Bio, the answer is regrettable but it remains negative. I cannot in good faith give it to Mister Chief without our executive goddess' permission." He denied.
"Sir, we have no choice." The sign's words were further projected by the super soldier's stoic and dull glare as the workers in the room could feel the seriousness of the sentence.
"That's the way it is, Mister Chief."
"No, Yvoire. I am not going to stand here and watch you plunge us into destruction and let DIO raze us to the ground because of your reluctance. Mister Chief, go to the Science Department's underground testing facility and retrieve the Mark VII armor module once the medical mages have healed you to an optimal state of health." Shepherd ordered as the archbishop vehemently responded.
"You have not been given clearance, soldier! You are to return to battle with your standard Mark VI module!" Yvoire went against the general's order.
"Listen, old man, we don't have much time and Lady Green Heart isn't here to magically tell you we can use the armor so either shut up and let the not senile adults handle the situation or let those shriveled-up balls of yours return to their prime and take some damn initiative!" The high-ranking military personnel yelled as she snapped.
"Grr...!" The archbishop held his tongue as he knew she was right, even to him to a certain point. Lady Vert was not present to give the go-ahead and they had no more time to waste in the decision-making process.
"Go. Take those two other soldiers with you and some super soldiers and get to the testing grounds. Have the others shortcut to the armory and get the magically enhanced prototypes. The low ranking individuals can have access to the ARS prototypes, which will be magically infused to deal with the current threats." Bio pointed as she directed them further.
"Yes, ma'am." The sing was raised as he briskly walked out of the room, the two soldiers by the door acting inconspicuous as he passed by them.
"Let's go, you two." He quickly raised a sign before they followed, the soldiers heading to the underground.
"Sir, yes, sir!" They responded before they trailed the war hero.
Yvoire glared at the female general as she moved on from that subject matter. Her accomplished gaze switched back to its neutral, serious state as she looked at the screen before them.
"Naval units are taking heavy damage and sinking by the minute but since I've entered the room, it seems that their depletion in numbers has temporarily flatlined." Shepard's eyes narrowed as the elder's eyes widened before turning back.
"They have?!-... By Green Heart, they have! Their numbers have stopped decreasing!" Yvoire noticed as he turned to the monitor.
"I overheard the deployment of the Air Force. ETA at the battlefield?" The general queried their time of arrival. Her eyes danced around the room as the soldiers went through some digital files until one found the specific one monitoring their flight path.
"ETA in 5 minutes, ma'am." A tech support personnel responded.
"Right. Do we have any visual confirmation on what this vampire is doing right now?" The woman continued.
"The last visual we saw of him was this one right here, on the camera of a ship right before it was obliterated by him."
SWITCH!
Another worker elaborated upon his reply as he don't have a picture that took up the monitor.
It was a shadowy DIO, massive in size as his fist was cinematically flying towards the ship, the rest of his body is mostly blocked by the hand, a king it somewhat difficult to distinguish his features, but was quickly followed up by some other pictures from different angles to compile and form a definitive image of the vampire's state.
"He's become a giant shadow beast. A construct of darkness incarnate...!"
VIDEO!
Yvoire awed in horror as the destruction of the boat, alongside many others could be seen in the pictures, before switching to a silent video of him decimating the force
"He's like a giant sea monster... Made of shadow. A Kage Kaiju?" A security guard asked.
"Hey, that has a nice ring to it." His fellow security guard nodded.
"So how do we combat it?" The elder asked. "Conventional methods of harming it seem to do next to nothing. Only lasers have been doing any substantial to him." The elder explained as he thought of a solution to the problem.
"Lasers..." Shepherd repeated, her hand cupping her chin before a figurative light bulb lit above her head.
"!" Her eyes widened as she remembered something that might tilt the battle in their favor.
"Remember the experiment when we fundamentally strapped 100 Spartan Lasers onto an XS1 Vulcan and almost microwaved the country from the exponential increase in temperature and power output?" The general reminded as Yvoire's eyes narrowed, another ludicrous and potentially idiotic idea was prepping to escape the general's mouth in his perspective.
"Please, think about what you're saying. That satellite firing once is comparable to commissioning the Mark VII for combat. You'll bankrupt the country at this rate!" The archbishop warned.
"I'd rather be broke than dead, old man." The elite soldier rebutted. "We can utilize one shot from it, but we have to start charging it now. Once we get 343 and the others to tactically retreat, we can launch the laser." The general strategized as she looked to the techies.
"Activate the Spartan Satellite and begin initialization and charging processes," Bio ordered.
"Ma'am, yes, ma'am!" The group of workers responded as they got to work, the screen splitting between the monitoring of the battlefield with the tracking satellite and the Spartan Satellite's preparation process.
"Now listen here-" Yvoire had enough of his orders being I've ridden as he tried to snap at the general but was swiftly interrupted.
"Yvoire. I was being professional with you but now I will be frank. Your hesitation to act out for the survival of the country over its financial safekeeping and faith-based decision-making is nonsensical and is a fatal liability in the heat of the battle of all things. If you cannot understand that, then I will bar you from making any more executive decisions as to the highest acting military general in the Leanbox Military." The elite general put her foot down as the rebuttal died in the elder's throat.
"Urk!" With his hands now metaphorically tied behind his back, the archbishop became internally agitated as he held his wounded pride and stood to the side of the room, a good few feet away from the general as he silently sulked.
"Right. Now then." Bio, content with the stubborn elder's compliance returned to her more urgent duties. "Let's call one of our high-ranking soldiers for a battleground survey."
SPRINT!
SPRINT!
SPRINT!
MOVE!
"How much longer until we get to the battle...!" Poona was becoming winded, the group of four having run for quite some time, traversing the remains of the eastern sector towards the battle.
"We shouldn't be too far from the battle. We passed that massive smoking crater and the many smaller ones. Then there was the other massive crater with the rubble and boulders everywhere." Taleia answered the Commander as the blonde witch spoke up next, using a red ball to move around.
"Bear with it, Poona. We should be close to the battle by now, right? I wouldn't vouch my Chuckles caramel chocolate bar that we'll have to travel for another 10 minutes." The older woman encouraged her coworker.
"That's easy for you to say, Lady Wac. Try raising your blood pressure by using your legs for your daily exercise before you encourage anyone here." The half-elf poked at her age.
"Yeah!.. You've been floating on that for the last half hour!..." The green-haired girl agreed as she panted, keeping her tiring pace.
"I thought you were running with us when we left the big black car?" Moru, who was far from even winded asked as the witch responded. She full-on rushed on all fours, only slowing to keep up with the others.
"That was for morale. I'm smart enough to walk the first five, but float the rest of the way. Too bad you three couldn't think of that one." Lady Wac smiled as she folded her arms triumphantly.
"Not bad for an old lady!" The catgirl complimented as Taleia reciprocated the positive compliment into something more backhanded.
"I'm surprised her brain is still that sharp at her age. Maybe she did some crosswords while evading middle-aged metabolism." She snorted as Lady Wac quickly turned to her, an air of intolerance present.
"You be quiet!" The rather busty blonde snapped as her mouth wrenched into a frown, as Poona chimed in.
"Don't be mad, Lady Wac. We all appreciate your mental age is still at its prime." The Bon Bon specialist tried to cheer her friend up, only coming off as unintentionally insulting.
"Just be quiet, you three! Let's change topics already." The woman had enough of their jabs and subsequent heckling.
"Fine. I'm just amazed you three can keep such an upbeat and entertaining demeanor amid a wasteland." The agent admitted as they looked ahead.
"Well, with everything that's happened so far, I just try to focus on the goal and hope for the best. It's better than doing nothing." Moru surprisingly gave some words of reasoning.
"I can't say I haven't been pretty much scarred from what I had to witness, but if it means that we can save Leanbox, then I'll see it through, especially if I have to fight to protect everyone... Or who's left of them..." Poona stated her reason as the eldest which went after.
"I'm hungry, cold, tired, and frankly sick of running from or doing nothing to fight that DIO. Battle isn't something I usually go for, but I can't sit by and watch this happen anymore. My stomach and country need me!" She chanted before her stomach growled.
"I see. Well, at least you girls are motivated." Taleia confided in their morale as the witch took out her Chuckles bar and started snacking.
SKID!
Moru suddenly sniffed as she came to a grinding halt.
The others stopped as they turned around, witnessing the Commander's superior scent at work.
"What's... Wrong... Moru?" Poona gasped in-between words, finally getting the desperate breaths of oxygen she needed as she asked of her ally's condition.
"She's smelling for something. Her sense of smell is superior, to the point that she can sniff out mana trails with enough concentration." Taleia explained. "For her to stop so suddenly..." She trailed.
"She must have either smelled something really pungent, or the trail of mana was so powerful that it was impossible to ignore." Lady Wac hypothesized.
Moru continued to sniff, her nose now picking up a strong, overpowering scent of mana as she then rose as her nose guided her.
Her eyes peered to the sky as she locked her eyes onto a flying blue translucent ball of magical energy, it being too far away for a normal person to accurately describe its visual appearance, but for the catgirl's eyesight, it was only somewhat difficult.
"What's that floating light in the sky, up there!" She pointed, her eyes suddenly morphing her pupils to slits as she squinted.
Poona, Lady Wac, and Taleia all looked up as they too saw the glowing object in the sky to them, their eyes struggling to distinguish what it was exactly.
"She's right...! But what is it? DIO, possibly?" The blonde combatant asked.
"Doubt. He'd have already engaged us if that was the case. But whatever it is, it hasn't taken notice of us." The elite soldier noticed.
"Should we hide our presence? It could be hostile..." The green-haired member asked.
"Maybe it's a UFO...?" Moru guessed.
"Oh, please. Aliens? I find the prospect highly unlikely." Lady Wac denied the possibility as soon as her catgirl comrade finished her uneducated guess.
"Well, factoring the vagabond interdimensional vampiric menace, the male CPUs, the rising of an international crime organization hellbent on taking over the world, and the disappearance of the goddesses, aliens don't seem that farfetched." Taleia gave a valid counterpoint as the blonde responded.
"I guess youre right. But if that glowing light is an alien, let it come down right now and prove it's not just a star or something."
SHINE...!
She goaded as the twinkle suddenly brightened.
DESCEND!
Lady Wac's poking caused the "unidentified flying object" rapidly descend as the quartet quickly reacted.
KICK-OFF!
CLUTCH!
"Scatter!" The half-elf screamed before she kicked off the ground hard enough to send some rocks flying as she backstepped, clutching her blade's hilt as she tensed, her eyes widened with anxiousness.
KICK-OFF!
FLIP!
Moru's body instinctively kicked off the ground with both feet as she leaned back from seeing the light approaching, before flipping herself upright for her to witness what would happen in the next moment.
BON BON SHIELD!
LEAP!
Poona used one of her Bon Bons to shield herself, making it translucent and form-fitting before diving ahead, her arms in front of her as she reached for safety that was away from where she was right at that moment.
REVERSE!
VOOM!
And Lady Wac finished her snack bar before moving her seat to reverse at an incredible pace, derived from her SP she got out of dodge with little to no dramatic action needed as she retained a neutral face, wanting to see if the so-called alien had truly been called out if it was alien at all.
CRASH!
WHOOSH!...
DUST...!
The light soon landed as it slammed into the ground, causing a loud crash, as well as a blast of wind before dust rose from its landing.
WIND MAGIC!
The four females closed their eyes as they looked away, even Poona out of her flinching from the impact before the dust was swiftly blasted away by a silent wind spell.
An outstretched hand was visible from within the force field as voices could be heard from inside its confines.
"Why did you have to land so violently?" A feminine voice asked.
"They were questioning my superiority." A charismatic and deep voice responded.
"They don't even know you exist." A rather deep deadpanning voice pointed out.
"I mean... They do now." A prepubescent voice corrected.
"Who wouldn't know after we dropped from the air like a metal marble!" An odd and hyper voice sounded from below of all places.
The five individuals soon met eyes with the four as they started for a bit before words were uttered.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"So do aliens look exactly like humans, or did I eat an expired Chuckles bar?" The blonde questioned reality.
"Probably a bit of both, to be honest,"
DISPERSE!
Poona answered as she deactivated her shield. "Check the back of the wrapper." She continued.
"Cave!" The half-elf yelled in surprise.
"Taleia!" The redhead reciprocated the feeling of relief as her comrade was still alive.
"I'm alive too, Tals." AL had a dumb smile and a playfully snide look in his eyes.
"Hey, mother figure." Domio waved cheerily.
"Agent Taleia!" Blinx greeted with a feline smile as he perked up.
"Guys!" The agent responded with pleasant surprise as she neared. Her person was now only inches away from the force field as her friends and colleague neared the barrier as well.
Kars observed the interactions the group outside and his collection of spectators had before making an educated assumption.
"Do these persons outside of the force field happen to be associates of yours?" He inquired, with both sides all saying the same answer.
"Yup." They chanted.
The Ultimate Life Form ingested the information as he'd then have to make some calculations and preparations before moving forward. He'd rather the circle be small for optimal movement, but since he'd most likely have to deal with these persons, later on, he was more inclined to include them now.
But before he made any moves:
"Do you four happen to be aware of a god by the name of Brave Heart?" Kars asked.
"Brave Heart?" Moru's brows contorted as her face was moderately confused.
"Huh?..." Poona was also lost.
"Does he mean Nebula?" Lady Wac asked.
"That's his alter ego CPU name." Taleia cleared up.
"Oh, then yeah, we know him." The catgirl being more informed, confirmed their knowledge of his existence.
"Alright. Get in the circle."
DISPELL!
He obliged, lowering the force field before accounting for the group's increased size and the volume of the new one he'd have to put up.
WALK!
The four walked in as they were now within the area of the shielded group.
GLOW!
MAGIC SHIELD!
When they were within the group, the alien warrior soon erected another barrier, this one suitably larger than its previous incarnation as it glowed its signature blue, before fully manifesting from the man's hand, whose palm glowed blue with aura having to put just a marginal amount of more mana.
RISE!
The sphere of protection encompassed them before they began to rise off of the ground, soon returning to where they were before Kars was hailed.
"Waugh!"
GRIP!
Moru almost lost her footing from the abrupt ascent, holding onto the closest person to her, which happened to be AL.
AL held onto the neko girl, to aid her balance as he commented.
"You know, to be honest, I assumed you'd have good balance since you're made up of cat genes." He snorted, the humor of the situation present in his tone.
"Oh, shut it." She brushed off his statement, not willing to look him in the eyes from her embarrassment.
SLAM!
"OW!"
STOMP!
"Argh!" The Loweean hissed.
Domio was jolted onto his ass before he bounced off of the ground and landed on his two feet, the inflammation of putting pressure on his ankle causing him to wince.
Taleia and Cave braced themselves as the rock had begun to abruptly move before stabilizing themselves and moving towards the child.
"You alright, Domio?" His perceived maternal figure asked him.
"He's broken his ankles, but they've been healed to only a sprain in his left." Cave briefed her partner in arms.
"It's just a sprain... I can walk it off, I think. Actually, if Neb wins, Kars will heal it for me." He brought it up.
"Why didn't he just heal it there and then?" The agent asked.
"Because that's too altruistic for my tastes. I'm much more willing to lend my services to those that I deem worthy so that my efforts are not wasted." The Ultimate Life Form spoke down to her.
"He's a child, you ass." She growled.
"And?" A slender brow was raised in apathy.
"Forget it," She waved him away, his brows furrowing in content as he then senses for the positions of DIO and Nebula before pinpointing them.
"How are we going to find DIO now?" Lady Wac questioned, the ascent coming to a halt as they were now thousands of feet in the air.
"He's probably already gotten it under control," Blinx told the blonde with an unimpressed look.
"I already have that under control."
WIND MAGIC!
WOOSH!
The alien prattled as he pointed to the direction that the two occupied before the floating rock began to move.
"Ditto." The cat said as emphasis on what the Ultimate Life From said before Lady Wac concluded that the man had things under control.
"You sure are good at magic? How long have you been practicing it, Kars...?" Poona questioned.
"All but a strenuous 48 hours," Kars revealed with some smugness.
"Oh, ok..." The ludicrously short time frame flew over her head.
Until it hit her as the Bon Bon specialist alongside the other three women that accompanied her reacted appropriately.
"WAIT WHAT!-"
"Look, I'm not against you guys. I literally bullied the big boogeyman." Brave Heart tried to explain as he gestures to where the shadow projection of DIO would be if it wasn't foggier than a horror movie in the woods.
"How are we so sure as to not be fooled by any of your words. For all, we know you could be working alongside him!"
VRR...!
The woman assumed as her gun began to ominously charge.
A deadpan was smeared across the deity's face before he sighed.
SNORT!
STEAM!
His face suddenly became intolerant as he glared at the lady before him, his eyes narrows and brows crossed. The god even snorted some steam.
"Look, if I wanted to sink this ship to where Davy Jones keeps his sweaty gym socks, trust me, I would have long ago."
BURST!
WHOOSH!
CRASH!
The CPU flexed his aura as a white flash blew everyone back a few meters, as the soldiers were sent to the ground, being disarmed by the wind as the pushy leader stood her ground, albeit barely.
"Argh!" One soldier landed flat on his back before bouncing onto his stomach
"Urgh!" Another soldier was sent towards the wall before slamming into it, knocking the wind out of her.
"Ack!" The left middlemost soldier went tumbling as he only just managed to grab the ground before his foot was off the deck of the ship.
"Oof!" The right middlemost soldier slid on her ass as she hit the floor before her back crashed into the railing.
"Tch!"
SLIDE!...
The woman planted her feet into the ground, her boots in denying themselves into the hull of the ship as she felt her center of gravity being compromised.
"I have no intention of harming you, but if you value your life, lower your weapons."
ゴゴゴゴ...!
INTIMIDATE!
Brave Heart had no leniency in his voice, an unnatural trait that indicated his seriousness.
Awe replaced hostility as the soldiers around the woman watched the CPU in marvel, his appearance reminding them of Green Heart as his eyes were unnerving uncanny to them, his tone, aura, and intimidation tactic only seeming to enhance the image of godliness he rarely ever flaunted.
"Now can we please move on to the actual individual that wants to Gigantic us and every other ship in this pitch-black bitch of a sea?" He reminded as a shrill cry could be heard.
"UREEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" The vampire roared, his eyes still burning from the attacks. The group of 5 became startled before they got to their senses, stood up with some ebbing pain, and made a quick decision.
"Let's listen to him, General. It sounds like he's trying to help us." Leanbox Marine #21 suggested.
"What?! He just tried to kill us!" Leanbox Marine #1738 objected.
"He just said he had no intention of harming us." Leanbox Marine #333 reminded.
"Then what was that just now? An illusion?" Leanbox Marine #69 asked, sarcasm dripping from his voice.
"No, but you might be giving me the illusion of intelligence if you stay in your indecision of whether I'm a threat or not. Hint: DIO." Brave Heart was getting tired of the directionless conversation.
He now had a bit more understanding of what IF and Gris felt at times.
"Then what the hell did you just do!?" #1738 yelled her question loudly.
"Tried to stop what you're doing right now, which is wasting time. Now, are you people going to help me deal with the shadow monster, or are you going to talk from your asses into your graves?" The deity was becoming irritated with their incessant questioning of his motives.
"You shut the fu-"#69 was cut off.
"At ease." The middle-most soldier raised her hand. "So you're allied with us, is what you're saying." She wanted to confirm, hearing the answer from his mouth directly.
"Yes! I know multiple RRoD and SMD members! I even saved the Commanders from peril and investigated the cause of this with the Chika Hakozaki, the Oracle of Leanbox!" Brave Heart rattled much top military personnel. "What do you want me to do, eat out Vert?!" He sarcastically asked.
"Hah! The chances of you doing that are lower than Lady White Heart spontaneously growing breasts, Lady Black Heart admitting her feelings, and Lady Purple Heart doing her job all at the same time!" Leanbox Marine #1738 belittled.
"Yo, I thought there was a friendship treaty, that was a war crime that just came out of your mouth and if it gets you to shut up and agree with me, then I approve of that comparison." The deity gave a thumbs-up as he beamed.
"I WAS INSULTING YOU! WHY ARE YOU SMILING!" The soldier screeched as her insult was ignored.
"I think you should be more concerned about the fact that he almost concussed you when you hit that wall and listen to what he has to say instead of berating him, lest you want to lose next paycheck." The lady silenced her subordinate.
"...Yes ma'am." The soldier piped down.
"Alright. Mind telling me your name, lady?" The CPU asked rather politely, his demeanor returning to more familiar territory, unbeknownst to them.e
"I am General 343, of the Leanbox Military's OG division and currently commanding the Marines as we speak, to subdue whatever monstrous form DIO has taken." 343 identified herself, lowering her weapon.
Brave Heart looked her up and down, quickly taking in the burnt sienna woman as she possessed some mahogany loose curls that went no lower than her nape, a singular curl being her only bang, resting above her dark-framed slender glasses, which shined in the light that the god gave off, hiding her hazel eyes.
She wore a grey uniform for the occasion, a metallic grey collar guard covering her neck that extended to protect her shoulders and upper arms as her shirt was a long-sleeved top with the front being an armored vest with the insignia of the Leanbox Military on it, with her rank on the pauldron under her collar, her shirt collar, and her cuffs.
343 donned a bracer that was on her firing arm, being her dominant one as she wore grey long pants with some black combat boots in the shape of dress shoes for a mix of style and practicality.
"Oh, that's ironic. I assumed your name was 404 since you were making a mistake by acting so dumb by attacking me when I told you and your soldiers not to." He scratched the back of his head.
"Oh, be quiet. And what's your name?" The general became defensive.
"Brave Heart." The CPU informed.
"Should have been Idiot Heart since you don't know the difference between the two for jumping on the deck of the ship like one." She snapped back.
"Look 401k, if I cared about this ship being unauthorized for me to land on, I would have just gone on the next ship over and skipped this filler dialogue." The god poked fun of her name as he shot down the roast.
"Oh snap." #333's eyes widened.
"Tch... Whatever the case, the reason you're here is that you want to stop DIO. So why don't you explain your plan." The general gave up on trying to win over the verbal spar for the sake of her country.
"Right. He's blind right now, so this is the best time to strike him down." The CPU finally got down to business.
"I'm kind of surprised he didn't try to attack us while we were arguing but instead of fully jinxing it, I'll instead chalk it up to that laser and my blast deleting his eyes, forcing him to regenerate them from nothing but stumps that were once his optic nerves, and the share energy being a bitch to him." He continued.
"So how do we take him out? He's down but can easily get back up if we give him the time." #21 deduced as if exactly what they didn't want to do was what they were doing for the past 5 minutes.
"We're gonna need something powerful enough to get him out of that shadow. I would have been able to do it myself, but I feel myself nearing my limit. If that occurs, I'll gradually get weaker before I become no more than a brick tall roadblock in DIO's way." The deity explained.
"We've already activated our laser cannons, it'll take another 5 minutes at least for the ships to be able to fire, and on top of that, the attack itself was a combined effort with lightning in a bottle likelihood."
FADE...!
#9 enlightened the CPU as he cupped his chin, his aura fading.
"Damn. I can use my Shinku Hadōken, but to charge it to that extent would cost me the last of my utility in this state. It would be an uphill battle from there on out." Brave Heart admitted as 343 turned to him.
"There's a way we might be able to do this, but you might not survive it being that close to him." The high-ranking soldier admitted.
"I'll find a way. Just tell me." The deity ignored the risks, as he was going to have to take every risk possible if he wanted that silver-haired pain in the ass out of the picture.
"Leanbox has an experimental laser weapon orbiting the planet as we speak, called the Spartan Satellite with the power to wipe the island off the face of Gamindustri without a trace." The dark-skinned general officer revealed.
"What?!" #21 yelled in surprise.
"And nobody knows about it?" #1337 inquired.
"Top secret. It was never fully integrated into our arsenal and for good reason. If it were somehow hacked into after the public was notified of its existence, that person would have the ability to wipe any nation off the face of the world without much trouble if done unannounced." 343 gave a possible scenario.
"Woah... That's a disturbing possibility." #9 internalized.
"Figures. The last thing we want is ASIC suddenly gaining control of it at the worst possible moment. But if it's not officially registered for use in the military, then how are you going to utilize it?" The blue god asked a decent question.
"I'll just make some calls, and 'convince' them." 304 air quoted, eluding to her just making them use the laser anyway.
But there would be no need, due to her radio, alongside the other transceivers sending a message that was heard on every navy personnel that was still afloat.
"All ships are to head back to headquarters! I repeat, all ships are to return to HQ! The Spartan Satellite has been initiated for use! You are currently in its range of fire! Evacuate the area and return to base immediately! You have 5 minutes!" A shouting voice went over the radios as all reacted.
"!" The group reacted.
"We don't have much time. You need to get out of here. Five minutes, huh..." The CPU adventurer muttered the last part under his breath as he looked at the giant.
"Take this radio. It'll alert you of the exact of time you have until the laser hits." 343 informed as she took a spare from her inventory, turned it on, and handed him.
"Thanks. Don't die, 403. It's forbidden."
LEAP!
FALL!
The blue adventurer god bid farewell as he took the transceiver, jumped off of the deck, and fell towards the water.
"OH MY GODDESS, I HATE YOU!" The general broke character once more, becoming agitated at the bad pun as she shook her fist.
"It's so bad, it's ironically good." #9 accepted the nature of his puns.
"Be quiet, soldier! Go to the cockpit and make sure the captain gets the message." She took out her anger on her soldier as she didn't want to plague her ego or mind further by thinking about the attempt of a joke.
SPLASH!-
ZOOM!
Brave Heart touched down on the edge of the water, a single large ripple reverberating before he rushed, dashing at tens of thousands of times the speed of sound.
CHARGE!
GLOW!
PURIFY!
The CPU zipped through the fog, beelining straight for the shadow giant before leaping forward and channeling his SP into his arm, converting it into KI as his passive share energy purified it.
SLICE!
"Razor Blade."
He aimed for the knee cap before bringing it to his side and swinging it laterally, as he landed, before uttering the name of the attack.
Brave Heart skidded on the waters, his feet causing a large line of splashing before his hand faded in brightness just as a large explosion of energy occurred, causing the shadow monster to break a leg.
EXPLOSION!
Well, dismember with the power of gods and anime, but it was severed no less.
HUGE SPLASH!
SINK...!
MELT...!
DIO's face was mirrored onto the shadow, being one of morbid surprise and horror mixed with sudden agonizing pain as he was reduced to balancing on one leg as his connection to the ocean's darkness was weakened dramatically.
The limb itself was submerged and melted back into the natural darkness it was once a part of as the invader was down a limb, being detrimental to his chances of victory.
"What the hell?!"
PLASMA FLURRY!
SLAM BARRAGE!
The blinded bloodsucker began to thrash around, firing blasts of plasma and slamming his fists onto the ground in a sporadic manner, in an attempt to destroy whatever had severely wounded him.
VOOM!
Brave Heart silently observed his sporadic attacks before realizing one was directly aiming for him.
VANISH!
"!" His yellow eyes peered up before his frame became blurred, lines of speed being the only thing of him remaining before he narrowly evaded harm's way.
REAPPEAR!
DASH!
He soon reappeared running on the water's surface as he used the fog to his advantage as it reduced the distance that his footsteps were heard to the vampire's super-hearing.
EXPLOSIONS!
SPLASH!
The escaping ships were now at high risk as some were not so lucky, the stray plasma blasts blowing the destroyer class ships to kingdom come in a terrifying explosion.
"We're dropping like flies, ma'am! DIO's resumed his assault!" A neighboring ship yelled in dismay to 343's radio.
"Activate plasma shields! And use the boosters! We don't have much time! If that laser doesn't fry us, his attacks will reduce us to ashes!"
PLASMA SHIELDS!
ACCELERATE!
The high-ranking officer instructed the remaining ships, one by one, to activate their vessel's shielding capabilities.
REFLECT!
REFLECT!
REFLECT!-
SMASH!
EXPLOSION!
The remaining ships put up their shields as they used the ship's boosters to increase their speed as they began their escape.
The plasma blasts were effectively reflected, but his fists still sank any ship unfortunate enough to be in its direct path.
Brave Heart disappeared and reappeared in and out of existence with his speed as he dodged the fists and blasts that came his way.
VANISH!
SPLASH!
REAPPEAR!
A clenched fist about to land above him-
SIDESTEP!-
BOOM!
SIDESTEP!-
BOOM!
JUMP!
BICYCLE KICK!
PHASE!
Before he evaded the attack, reappearing in front of plasma blasts that were all in his general direction-
EXPLOSION!
Before he sidestepped them as they exploded next to him, before leaping and kicking the last one into the air, causing it to explode in the vampire's face as he phased.
DIO wrenched as he unconsciously flinched from the warm sensation in front of him.
RAISE!
"?!" He reeled before his face became angered, his hand raising in the form of a hand before he brought it down right in front of him, to the ocean's surface.
"DAMN YOU!"
WHOOSH!
REAPPEAR!
His squinted eyes scrunched even more in a show of wrath as he yelled.
"!"
SPLASH!...-
SLAM!
GIGANTIC SPLASH!
GRAVITY!
Shock was etched onto the deity's face as he began to decrease his speed.
DIO sent his arm into the ocean, causing a watery explosion the size of a small hill as Brave Heart had to utilize his Baro Barrier to not be blown out of the water by the water pressure.
'HOLY FUCK!-' Brave Heart almost mentally shit himself from the hand of the shadow titan boi-ing him to the bottom of the sea.
STEP!-
SPLASH!
TWIRL!
OUTSTRETCH!
GLOW!
BURST OF SPEED!
His face went from nigh-paralyzing shock to determination as he retaliated.
DIO felt a sharp sensation of pain shoot of the palm of his hand as he gripped it with his other, yelling in agonizing suffering as he passed his assault on the ships.
"WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" He screamed, his voice audible from the other side of the island.
"Tatsumaki Senpūkyaku."
Brave Heart smiled as he muttered another move he used.
The CPU had managed in an instant, to gain a tremendous burst of agility, using it as a base as he rotated himself in the air with a foot stretched out before using the technique to cleave through the villain's hand with share energy.
Not only further wounding the tyrant, but also using the momentum and trajectory of the spinning kick move, to steer himself to his flank in the same instant as he now found himself in DIO's blindside.
RAISE!...
POINT DOWN...!
"Subjugation."
LARGE SPLASH!
"WHAT?!" The creature of the night was startled, in a state of perpetual confusion as he desperately tried to free himself, too flustered for his good.
The writhing bloodsucker was instantly silenced as he bit down on his screams, his arm suddenly being pushed to the water's surface shortly before crashing through it as his shadow body became uncomfortably slanted as his one leg was put on massive strain.
Brave Heart let a smile of content wash on his features before he heard something on his hip.
"3 MINUTES SOLDIERS! GET YOUR ASSES OUT OF THERE!" The device screeched.
STOMP!
BIG SPLASH!
WHOOSH!
His face became strained with anxiety and concentration before leaning forward and raising his leg.
ATTRACTION!
PULL!
CURL!-
SPIN!
Now in the air, he utilized the fog that was rolling off of him.
DIO's ears picked up the amalgamation of wind as his head turned to the side.
BURST!
HEAT UP!
PURIFY!
REPULSION!
"...!?" A chill went up to his spine as he turned to the side, blind against what was about to come.
A grim feeling of realization dawned upon the vampire as he quickly lost the sensation of touch within his wounded arm.
"No... No! Not again- AHHHHH!"
EXPLOSION!
"FUCKING HELL! YOU SON OF A RABIES-SUFFERING BITCH! WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
SPLASH!
Brave Heart became visible once more, the CPU floating in the air, marveling at his handiwork.
He used the pressure of the stomp to propel himself into the air before somersaulting as he used his Attraction to clump the fog onto his body, heating the low-lying cloud substance with his KI before purifying it with his shares.
From there, he used his Repulsion on the air behind him to shoot him towards the shadow's glenohumeral joint with a blitzing diagonal heel kick, inadvertently severing the clavicle in two as well, all in the span of a tenth of a millisecond.
DIO being dosed with another sensation of unbridled pain was more aware of his situation as both limbs on his left were no longer viable as he was a standing duck.
"When I get my hands on you! YOUR TORTURE WILL BE LEGENDARY...!"
He promised torment like never before as he descended from his state of irrational suffering and began a course of action, his face becoming stoic as he 'looked around'.
STEAM!
FALL!
SPLASH!
'We'll have to see about that.' Brave Heart mentally challenged as he dropped back down onto the water's edge, breathing out a guffaw of steam.
WHOOSH!
"Bakuhatsuken!"
BURST!
His first glowed with martial art energy as he winded back for a devastating straight with explosive capabilities to the dark titan's face, but-
"!" Brave Heart's eyes almost popped out of their sockets in shock.
PLASMA VISION!
GIGANTIC SPLASH!
EVAPORATION!
BEAM!
BURN!
DIO, after focusing all of his efforts into his regeneration while failing to recover the eye that was obliterated by the CPU's attack, regained the vision of the eye singed by the lasers and opened it with a fully charged Cosmic Shredder Piercer Eyes, point-blank blasting the deity as his shadow projection's returned red eye did just that.
GRAVITY!
"WAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!" Brave Heart yelled bloody murder, his skin almost being singed off of him, if not for his gravity shields at the last moment as he activated them.
The god was being plunged into the depths, not even being able to feel the water as the beam itself evaporated the liquid as only the temperatures of the sun and the blinding light being blasted in his face from the attack reminded him of his position.
"2 minutes! You have 120 seconds to evacuate the blast zone, soldiers!"
'I gotta get out of this!' The submerged divine adventurer told himself before doing just that.
ATTRACT!
YANK!...
UNDERWATER DETONATION!
He pulled himself out of the blast zone before it exploded on the ocean floor. His shares took care of his oxygen, so he just focused on what he'd do next.
'I can't just rush up there now. DIO's regenerated his eye. If I'm gonna do this, I'll need something that'll blindside him.' Brave Heart had some sweat from on the side of his face as he put what he thought into action.
RUSH!
SPLASH!
DIO's one good eye instantly darted to where he heard the splash of water originate, only seeing a blurry after image that had the skin below its eyelid pulled with the bird taunting him with another hand as its tongue was stuck out.
"Hah hah!" A voice reminiscent of a certain bully that starred in a certain meme was echoed from above as the offending target reacted accordingly.
"RAH!"
JET!
SPLASH!
Another eye beam, an Stingy Ripper Space Eyes variant blew the after image into nothingness before a voice was heard above him.
"Oi." It beckoned.
DIO raised his head to the point it looked as if it almost detached itself from his shoulders like back in his early days of vampirism.
He was unpleasantly surprised with something instead of his opponent.
"Bakuhatsuken!"
CROSS PUNCH!-
EXPLOSION
STUMBLE!-
FALL!
SPLASH!-
ZOOM!
ENCIRCLE!
WOOSH!
The bloodsucker was clocked squarely in the nose before it was blown off of his face in a distracted blitz, causing his body to almost fall over from the awkward center of gravity being a hair's breadth from being toppled due to the attack.
RISE!...
SWIRL!
ZOOM!
Brave Heart fell back down towards the water before dashing around the shadow projection circularly, his speed causing the wind and fog around him to mimic the shape of his direction.
REGENERATE!...
DIO barely managed to balance himself and recover his nose as he saw that he was now trapped in a large waterspout, created by the speed of his opponent, alongside the fog, making it difficult to see.
"60 seconds! 59! 58! 57!" The device the CPU had, however, gave away his position to his annoyance, as the vampire immediately turned to him, his one eye pinpointing him.
STRETCH!-
"I've got you!" The shadow user roared as his hand extended for the deity's position.
PULL!
CLENCH!
"56! 55! 54...!" The radio continued as Brave Heart used his gravity to pull himself up, dodging the grab.
He then initiated in an attempt to further occupy the vampire as he continued to maintain the watery twister.
AFTERIMAGES!
CHARGE...!
"I suggest you begin spamming basic attacks. But that would be useless l, wouldn't it?" Multiple voices advised as the vampire took his attention away from the floor of the watery cylinder he found himself in.
"51! 50! 49...!" Numbers counted down as their seemingly omnidirectional presence only served to disorient the vampire more.
But the main problem was that he saw around 50 afterimages, all charging a Hadōken that surely spelled defeat if they all launched it at him at once.
DIO had not the time nor capabilities to deal with so many opponents at once, so he decided to do something about his current predicament.
"Tch! I'll show you something useless! ZA WAAAA!-" The bloodsucker got his vocals clipped.
"Hadōken!"
BLASTS!
EXPLOSION!
HACK!-
50 blue blasts of shut the fuck up hit the uvula of the shadow construct, causing the mirroring effect of DIO mimicking the coughing fit of a stage 46 lung cancer patient to ensue.
"Huh. Guess that was pretty useless." The speed clones mocked.
"FUCK!-"
COUGH!
"YOU!-"
GAG!
"ALL!-"
HACK!
CHARGE...!
The afterimages began recharging the attack, all of them dead set on taking down the villain.
Brave Heart took note of the countdown, having almost halved itself from the time taken to properly distract the vampire.
"30! 29! 28!..." The radio shouted, the voice behind the numeric depletion becoming more frantic as time progressed.
"It's all or nothing...! Here goes." His eyes became narrowed with an unparalleled concentration in the fight.
CHARGE!
Blue martial art energy concentrated in the palm of his hands as he began the process of his attack, a line of pale blue at the base of the waterspout visible as he put his all into the collection of KI.
REGENERATE!
PUNCHING BARRAGE!
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!" His fearsome battle cry resounded and echoed within the waterspout's walls as he launched his barrage of blows.
Once DIO's respiratory system was back to a functional state, he began to retaliate at the clones with a flustered flurry.
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!-"
PHASE!
PHASE!
PHASE!
But to his dismay, the clones only became indistinguishable for the increments of time his hand passed through them before they regained their blurry form.
"I'd lend you a hand, but then I remember you're up in arms about the whole disarming thing. Maybe try your hand at something a little less hands-on? As they say, there is no hand to catch time and you're failing to see-"
JET!
JET!
JET!
JET BARRAGE!
"UREEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
SHOCKWAVE!
Brave Heart's afterimage's obvious jabs were silenced as DIO began to snipe at the speed clones relentlessly, his ire far surpassing his rationale as he was coerced back into a state of irrational fury, the best of sound from his cry being irrefutable proof.
"15! 14! 13!..." The transceiver blared as the real CPU had been charging his attack for some time.
"Just a little longer...! I need for it to be ready!" The deity told himself, the time remaining, the suspense he felt in the back of his head, and the author all simultaneously.
PURIFY!
RUSH!
DISPERSE...!
His Hadōken that was being channeled had just been purified, as he carefully dispelled his clones one by one, tracking the direction of each laser to take out the one that had been hit periodically until all but a few were remaining.
JET BARRAGE!
DISPERSE!
"Where is that blue shit! My patience has been spent! I will spend my time ripping his insufferable self apart limb from limb!" DIO was finally at his wit's end, his mind only finding solace in his opponent's demise, slowly regaining his train of thought with each clone dissipated.
JET!
JET!
JET!
JET!
JET!
"I'll bloody skin him alive! I'll burn the skin off his bones and drain him of his blood, before disintegrating the body and sending his remains to the shadow realm!" The bloodsucker fumed as the number of speed clones dwindled to a measly 3.
"5!.." The number was shouted, he was truly in the race against time.
SPLASH!...
Brave Heart used up no more of his time as he ceased his movement, causing a splash of water to be erected as a result.
He had one shot at getting his attack to take down the shadow tyrant. But something drastic stood in his way.
RICOCHET!
RICOCHET!
RICOCHET!
Every eye beam that DIO had released was now bouncing off of the waterspout, with random trajectory at insanely quick speeds.
"4...!" The countdown continued, the god's mind drowning it out for the sake of focus.
FLINCH!
FALL!-
His eyes became glassy as he momentarily lost consciousness before he snapped back to reality.
STEP!
WATERY EXPLOSION!
VOOM!
By using his right foot to step on the water's surface, blasting him into the fires of probability and lasers as he went headfirst into the danger zone.
JET!
JET!
JET!...
DIO blasted the last of the clones into 'oblivion' before looking back to where he last saw his target.
"3!..." For something that alerted the CPU of how much time he had left, it sure switched on his position a lot.
GLARE!
SPLASH!
MISS!...
OPEN!
The creature of the night locked onto the hero's position for the last time before he opened his mouth, his shadow projection mimicking him as its mouth widened to almost unnatural lengths.
Brave Heart landed as he skidded, his positioning successfully dodging most of the adjacent Space Ripper Stingy Eyes beams that headed for him.
HEAT UP!
"I'll TURN YOU TO ASH!" The shadow screamed, DIO using him as a medium of sound.
CROUCH!-
EVADE!
Before bending his knees to prep himself for his final maneuver, dodging another pink laser by proxy, a taunting snigger shining through which only pissed off the vampire more.
Heat began to rise within the shadow construct's mouth as it prepped for its battle-ending strike, veins forming in infuriation as he screamed.
"2!..." The clock ticked closer. Sweat dripped from the deity's face in unconscious anxiety.
JUMP!
WEAVE!
TWIST!
PLASMA BREATH!
A leap to the face of the shadow titan, using his gravity to maneuver himself away from the stray eye laser blasts before the bloodsucker let off the large plasma blast towards him.
BEAM!-
GRIND!
SLIDE!
"BAKANA!" DIO could not believe his eye.
To only barely miss, before he used the charging ball of hallowed KI as a medium to grind on the plasma attack, ascending the beam in a very stylistic manner, a foot extended with the other bent as his teeth grit, desperately trying to keep the orb from dissipating.
"1!..." The final countdown arrived.
PULL!
SPIN!
BOUNCE!
REEL!
Brave Heart heaved his body to handstand on the state of matter, using his orb as a support as he twisted rapidly before pushing down to jump off of the beam, bouncing as a result.
He then pulled the overcharged orb of divine martial art energy to his side once more as time slowed for the god.
The CPU knew that if he just launched it point-blank, it might not be enough to completely finish off the villain.
So instead of just firing it, he did something different.
REPULSION!
SCATTER!
When he threw his hands forward, he placed a repulsive singularity on the edge of the orb, causing it to divide and scatter as it shot ahead, seemingly completely missing the intended target.
GLANCE!
DIO was confused for a brief instant before his eye darted to the side.
RAIN DOWN!
HEAT UP!
"!" His eye almost bulged out of his socket as he saw the steam that had been pressed to the surface of the waterspout had been heated by the energy, making his position a guarantee to get hit, no matter where he went.
On top of the fact that he saw the place blue blasts of destruction rain down on him, as the steam around him were moments away from becoming the state of matter he was becoming acquainted with.
DISPELL!
"SHINKU HADŌKEN!"
BEAM!
PLASMA!
The blue god then removed the repulsive singularity as he finally let the Hadōken go wild. Blue was all the vampire registered in his view, as the fog around him had long turned into plasma as the will wavering scream of Brave Heart was heard.
EXPLOSION!-
SPLASH!
SHOCKWAVE!
WHOOSH!
Time sped up as DIO was engulfed in the big blue blast just as the plasma detonated around him, causing a massive shockwave to resound as the CPU was shit out of the shattered water spout at blinding speeds.
"Secret Technique Finish!" Brave Heart referenced before he heard a loud noise from above.
LASER!
FLASH!
EXPLOSION!
ENORMOUS SPLASH!
Ionic death fell from above, visible to all of Gamindustri as a large jade laser connected with the last place DIO was sited before it crashed into the water's surface and caused an explosion of water large enough to cause a tsunami-like splash.
343, a safe distance away from the explosion to her fleet watched the scene that looked like something out of Specific Rim with awe and pride.
They had successfully escaped and observed the fight from
"By Lady Vert's bountiful bresticles, that was magnificent!" The general failed miserably to hide her elation of the laser going off.
"Is that Brave Heart guy ok, though? I'd hate to be him right now if he was caught in that." #1337 pointed towards the explosion.
BEAM!...
Until a blue beam sailed over them, the group looking up.
"I'd assume that's him?" #9 pointed up.
"Sheeeeeeeesh!" Was the shout of success that was heard, confirming his state of being.
"I've known that man for a little over 5 minutes at most but deep in my soul, I know that's the same asshole that was on our ship." The dark-skinned soldier came to a reasonable conclusion.
"It would be either really weird or really concerning if it wasn't him." #21 stated.
"Fortune favors the bold. And he's both brave and bold." #1337 begrudgingly admitted.
ZOOM!
BEAM!
Speaking of the bold bastion of humorous bravado, Brave Heart bulleted through the sky, his blue beam still carrying him through the air.
"I did it! We finally did it! DIO is no more!"
WHOOSH!
SENSE!
He celebrated, sure that the vampire couldn't have survived the sheer ballistic nightmare that was the last 10 seconds.
"What?" His smiles ascended to the 4th dimension as he was surprised by the sudden stimulus.
His cheering was interrupted as he felt a collection of energies approach him rapidly, or rather his body closing the gap from them as he reacted.
LOOK BACK!-
SHATTER!
CRASH!...
TUMBLE!
SKID...!
"SHIT!" The blue depth cursed, crashing through a blue force field as he tumbled on the floor and skidded to a halt, his body reverberating in pain, his eyes shut due to it.
"Nebula!" Voices were heard as he recognized them.
"What the hell, Kars!" AL shouted, indignation for his friend in his tone.
"What? He crashed into US." The alien justified his lack of course of action.
"Why didn't you lower the barrier?!" Taleia showed some concern for her childhood friend.
"Because he'd miss the mark. I lowered its durability just enough so that he'd land here and not slam on the surface like an unsuspecting pigeon." Kars explained, cursing the others to grow silent for lack of a response.
"I-... Just because you're correct doesn't mean you're right!" Blinx refused to give the ancient space warrior props.
"Too bad, since being correct is all I care about." The Ultimate Life Form rebutted.
STEAM!
"Wait..." He breathed out, steam escaping his lips. "Guys?" His eyes opened lethargically.
PULL!
His friends, acquaintances, and allies were all present as he was pulled to his feet by AL and Cave.
"Welcome back to the gulag." The alien greeted.
"I didn't think I ever left if I'm being honest." Brave Heart gave his earnest opinion.
"Did you beat him? Did you win?" Domio asked his foster dad, elation radiating from his face.
"I hope so. I don't wanna spend another 10 chapters trying to kill him again." The CPU told them.
"Does that still count?" The child looked to the space warrior.
"Hope is not indeed, so you shall indeed not get healing." Kars declined the proposal.
"Aww..." Domio moped, dejected.
"Look on the bright side, at least he won." More attempted to cheer up the kid, detaching herself from AL.
"And you spent so much effort and time to make that plan, only to defeat him yourself." Lady Wac made fun of his preparation.
"Hey, I looked at it from a worst-case scenario, and I wouldn't be far off from the truth with what was going on." Brave Heart defended his course of action.
"All's well that ends well, I guess." Poona breathed out a breath of relief.
"Alas, we must forward the good news to Chika." Cave reminded the group as they were suddenly given an incentive to talk about her.
"Oh, yeah. I kind of forgot she existed for a few hours." The bluette admitted, embarrassment present on his features.
"To be fair, you were trying not to die, or be paralyzed for a majority of that time." AL brought up.
"Meh, we can fill her in when we get there. I'm just glad DIO wasn't given the freedom to expand his terror to the world-"
TIME STOP!
DUBSTEP FART!
Blinx could not finish his sentence, his words cut off as the flow of time followed suit, leaving Brave Heart as the only sentient life form being conscious.
"You can say that again... Blinx?-... GODDESS FUCKING DAMN IT!-" He abhorrently cursed, tired of the neverending fight.
SHATTER!
CLENCH!
Kars' magical barrier instantly shattered, before a dark first retracted, revealing a seriously injured but fully-abled DIO, a barely sane smile mixed with the satisfaction of survival bleeding from his eyes as The World floated next to him, arms folded with a stern glare.
LAND!
POINT!
ARCH BACK!
The vampire leaned back as he pointed, a bigger evolving from his smile as he engaged in some conversation.
"So you can move in my stopped time. All the more reason to finish you." A snarl escaped the villain's lips.
"Just die already, you edgy twink. Why won't you just stay in the ground like a good corpse, you're already unliving by vampiric logic!" Brave Heart verbally vyed for his opponent's demise.
"Pfft. Did you think you could kill me? How quaint. You cannot assassinate DIO." He rubbed the fact that he was alive in the CPU's face before continuing.
"Or did you just expect me to die? It would make much more sense than just hoping the stray attack would finish me off." He assumed.
"I expect you to close your eyes and never open them again like a good irrelevant POS, but if you can come out the closet with the male stripper getup, you can sure as hell come out the casket with the illogical asspulls." The adventurer CPU told his damaged adversary.
"Speaking of which, how did you even fucking live after I slid over your mouth beam like how I'd slide into your mother if she was still alive?" Brave Heart asked disrespectfully, a smile forming on his face with a hint of malignancy behind his entertaining taunt.
DIO growled as he was provoked into his infamous ire.
"If you must know, Blather Heart, I narrowly escaped the jaws of defeat thanks to my wit and prestigious intelligence in the art of battle." He flaunted his survivability as the deity paid no mind.
"Alrighty then, now tell me the iteration of how you lived without your head so far up your ass that you speak the shit that comes out of it." The transformed god snarked.
"I used my shadow to take the brunt of the attack, and used the momentum of my Space Ripper Stingy Eyes while diving underwater as a way to escape and mitigate your original attack, albeit with some injury." DIO enlightened which made his enemy's eyes widen.
"But what about the Spartan Satellite?! How did you survive orbital obliteration...!?" Brave Heart demanded answers.
"Fear energy. It's the same reason you couldn't sense my presence until I descended upon you. I used it to stonewall the laser that struck me down in the ocean depths, before regenerating." He further elaborated.
"But I crippled and ripped off half your limbs! How did that come back?..." Bewilderment was ever-present in the meme lord's eyes.
"By cutting off an unaffected area and regenerating them back to normal from my inflicted stump instead of yours. I just didn't have the strength to completely regenerate, as if something was actively preventing me from doing so..." DIO looked down at his scratched and bleeding hand in a disgruntled manner.
'Huh... Even if he managed to find a loophole through the physical subversion of my share energy, it still managed to impair his regenerative capabilities.' The CPU internally noted as he took a step forward.
STANCE!
"Well, this is going to be the last time we fight. And I'll make sure you don't come back from this skirmish." Eyes narrowed as the fires of battle burned one last time in the CPU's eyes as he got ready for a bloody brawl.
"I concur. This altercation will be its final. Now you DIE!"
SPRINT!
"!" Brave Heart wasted no time reacting.
GUARD!-
FEAR PUNCH!-
SHOCKWAVE!
Brave Heart by the skin of his teeth managed to guard against the fear energy enhanced fist that came his way, sending the two of them off the suspended rock, southwest in direction.
CLUTCH!
"Wha-!?" DIO was caught off-guard.
SWING!
THROW!
Before grabbing the arm of the vampire and flinging him away with one mighty move, making sure to grab above where the fear energy reached to avoid its contact.
TUMBLE!-
"Bakuhatsuken!"
BLAST!
He then followed up with an orange beam that raced towards the battered bloodsucker, his eyes widening in surprise.
DEFLECT!...
EXPLOSION!
Before The World backhanded the attack away, causing a loud crash accompanied by a thunderous boom to the wayside as they zipped through the temporally halted air.
GRAVITATE!
SWING!-
DUCK!
UPPERCUT!-
ELBOW!
SHOCKWAVE!
Using his Attraction, Brave Heart closed the gap between the two and swung with a powerful and gravitationally enhanced hook that was dodged due to his fatigue lowering his speed before the villainous vampire went for a blitzing close range uppercut that was met with a jerking elbow, causing another shockwave.
RECOIL!
SEPARATE!
"WRYYYYYYY!"
"Jūryoku Hadōken!"
JET!
BEAM!
Upon the clash putting some distance between them, they both released a ranged attack, DIO with his fear-laced Space Ripper Stingy Eyes and Brave Heart with his gravity-enhanced Hadōken.
CLASH!
ENERGETIC EXPLOSION!
RIPPLE!
Their attacks instantly became unstable upon contact and caused a ripple in the fabric of space from equivalent levels of fear and share energy coming into contact for dominance.
ZOOM!
STAND GLIDE!
DOZENS OF SHOCKWAVES!
ZIG-ZAG!
The two came back into contact before their blows sent them on an erratic trail through the sky.
DROPKICK!
WHOOSH!-
CRASH!
SLIDE!
"Shit!" DIO looked up before his stand got him out of dodge.
YANK!
BOOM!
DUST!...
They continued their path until a dropkick sent the vampire hurling to the ground, causing him to disturb and slide on the grass he landed on, as well as barely being pulled away from imminent danger by The World before the ground exploded in dust from a mighty axe handle.
WHOOSH!
SIDE KICK!-
BLOCK!
HOOK!
ELBOW!
Brave Heart soon dashed from the cloud of dust as he spun around into a side kick, that was blocked which caused some more dust to scatter before he received a right hook to the jaw before retaliating with an elbow to the collarbone.
BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK-BAK!
GUST!
RUMBLE!
DIO and the CPU of memes traded holes that caused a continuous tremor as the dust around them in stopped time blew back from their blows generating massive amounts of energetic tension, despite their heavily wounded states.
"Try as you might, you will never be able to overcome my power! Your fate is to be crushed afoot by my dominating might!" The bloodsucker boasted as he sent a heavy attack.
DUAL STRAIGHT!
POW!
SLAM!-
"UAK!" Brave Heart guttered, blood escaping his mouth as his teeth clattered from the impact.
Which consisted of overlapping his stand hand with his own and clocking the god right in the middle of the eyes, sending him to the ground as he hit his head on an apparent slab of bricks so hard that they were pointed into the air before it was suspended.
"This is where it-"
KICK!
"SIKE!"
BLAST!
EXPLOSION!
"BLARGH!" DIO was interrupted as he staggered, his face now damaged.
The adventurer deity managed to heave his lower body into the air and outstretched his left foot in such a manner, that he released a Bakuhatsu from the sole of his foot that hit his enemy square in the face.
SMASH!
TWIRL!
CLUTCH!
ATTRACTION!-
SPIN!
CRASH!
REPULSION!
DUST CLOUD!
TIME RESUMES!
Utilizing his opponent's distracted state, Brave Heat slammed his fist into the ground, propelling himself up into a rapid spin before clutching the neck of the distracted dementor before using his Attraction for a vice grip before spinning into the ground, choke slamming him with Repulsion, to the point that the impact caused time to resume.
WHOOSH!
BIFF!
POW!
PUNCH!
BAM!
"You're in for a world of pain, you sardonic sociopath!" An insult that was both a pun and an ad hominem was heard from the CPU as he wailed on the vampire's mug, pinning his knee on his chest as he did just that.
WHAM!
SLAM!
BIFF!-
CRAMP!
"Urk!" The divine man gritted his teeth as he faltered.
PLASMA VISION!
"IT BURNS!"
DIO was getting his face buried into the ground through a multitude of powerful punches before Brave Heart paused out of pain, allowing him to use his Cosmic Shredder Ripper Eyes on full blast making a throttling rendition of his basic plasma eye beam which served to damn near cauterize the god.
"?!" Kars realized that his shield was gone and that events had occurred independently to his perception as time resumed.
"-!.. What?" Blinx looked around as the others on the rock did the same.
"Nebula's gone, but where?" Taleia looked around for her friend.
PLASMA BEAM!...
All who were on the floating igneous looked over to the light show before Cave spoke up next.
"I assume he went over there?" The militant redhead pointed.
"Their energy signatures check out." AL agreed with her observation.
KNEEL!
"The slide tracks here also agree." Moru looked down and inspected the direction they went, digging right off the rock and towards the southwest.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go already!" Lady Wac urged the ancient space warrior to go.
"If you desire to be reduced to atoms upon observing the fight, be my guest but I think some damage control is in order before we depart." Kars retorted as he raised his hand.
MAGIC SHIELD!
HAMON!
INFUSION!
He reconstructed a superior magic barrier sphere, runes on lines that encircled the magic construct for added reinforcement before infusing it with Hamon, the florescent static being launched from his arm which made it dance around the shield itself, turning the entire spell into that pigment.
"Now we can go." Poona presumed.
WHOOSH!
"Precisely. I do not wish to miss the climax of their brawl." The Ultimate Life Form adhered to her assumption as they zoomed towards the fight.
PLASMA VISION!
"STOP TRYING TO GIVE ME RADIATION POISONING!" Brave Heart screeched before his gravity shields kicked in.
GRAVITY!
GLOW!
STAB!
BLEED!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"
FALL!...
DIO screamed as he held his face in agony as blood escaped the cracks in his fingers, as the CPU had coated his hand in share energy and pierced his eyes with gruesome thrust.
Brave Heart's herculean stamina failed him, however, as he collapsed, his prolonged use finally took a toll on him.
His hitched breaths and strained expression made it abundantly clear, not to mention the fact that 30% of his upper body looked like a burnt toast slice.
CLUTCH!
"Hraaaah! Urgh... Hrnk!" The CPU yelled in pain, his body finally starting to break down from Under Pressure no longer being able to be optimally maintained. He gripped his heart, the vital organ under near-fatal strain as he struggled to get to his knees.
K-KNEEL!-
PRESS!
BLOODY STEAM!...
Brave Heart held his chest as he pressed his fist to the ground, breathing out a bloody mist that indicated his deteriorating state.
SLIM DOWN!
STEAM!
He quickly decreased the level of gravity his Under Pressure technique but on his body, sacrificing his edge for his combat viability, his muscles visibly shrinking back to their normal size, although still veined as steam poured from his pores as he stood up.
RUSH!
SWIPE!
"You accursed, wretched bastard! I'll tear your innards to shreds for wounding me like this!" DIO got up from the ground before swiping his hand, sending his blood towards the god as he approached him, eyes closed as blood trailed from them, his stand's eyes overlapping for a moment.
DUCK!
SPLAT!
"My eyes! AGH!" A voice was heard in the distance as a security guard cradled his face in pain from the substance hitting him dead on as Brave Heart dodged, before noticing an object being pulled.
SLICE!
"!"
BACKSTEP!
RETURN SLASH!-
TWIST!
DIO pulled out one of his obsidian knives as he swung at the CPU who hopped back to avoid being cut, only for the gnarly bloodsucker to return slash at his chest which made the blue bastion of good twist his body to dodge the maneuver.
SWING!
HUNCH!
THRUST!
GRAB!
TWIST!
Brave Heart went for a short-range hook that was evaded before he was almost hit with a piercing thrust to the heart that was intercepted by a wrist grab as the deity turned it, making the blade go off aim to only be winded instead of stabbed.
WHEEZE!
SCRAPE!
"Tch!"
YANK!-
PIN!
STAB!-
DIO took advantage of the successful hit by using his free hand to scrape across his opponent's face, using his distraction to grab his closest arm and spin him around before pushing it to lock him in a pin as he used his knife to go for a wound to the spine.
HEADBUTT!
"Damnit! FUCK!"
SWIVEL!
SLAP!
CROSS PUNCH!
CROSS BLOCK!
BOOM!
Brave Heart wouldn't stay in the pin for long before slamming the back of his head into the vampire's nose, before snapping his head and body to face him as a hair slap was received before winding up for a powerful blow which DIO nearly got hit by if not for his stand vision letting him see the attack to defend causing a loud bang which shook every window in the area they were in.
BOUNCE!
SKID...!
DASH!
SIDESTEP!
CRASH!-
SHOULDER!
The villain bounced on his back before flipping into a skid on both feet with a knee bent before dodging to the side of a fist that shattered the ground, Brave Heart burying his arm in it as a testament to the force used. He was soon shouldered, however, as DIO made use of his precarious position.
THUD!
"Uah!"
STAB!
REAR!
STAB!
REAR!
STAB!-
The CPU was thrown and pinned to the ground before he quickly moved his head to avoid being cut short from the fight, before seeing his third attempt as his arm flexed with preparation before it fell.
GLARE!
WHOOSH!
"?!"
ATTRACTION!
HEAD BASH!
UPPERCUT!
ASCENDING HOOK!
Brave Heart sent a KI-enhanced glare which shot an invisible wave of it from his eyes that sent DIO's weapon into the air, spinning like a fidget spinner as it flew.
He abused his opponent's distracted demeanor to use Attraction to smash his forehead into the vampire's, ignoring the pain as he followed up with a short-range jaw shivering uppercut into a train-wrecking right hook that punched the bloodsucker off of him as he rolled away.
"BLOODY HELL! Fuck you, you blue bastard of an eyesore!" DIO cried in information.
"Actually I see where you're coming from with that insult. Just as much as I can see you winning-" Words were traded as the CPU cut himself off.
ROLL!
STAB!
GRAB!
KICK-OFF!
GRAB!
He evaded the knife that he previously disarmed before picking it up off the ground and beelining towards DIO, who equipped another black blade as the two went to clash the fearsome blades.
SCHWING!
CLANG!
CLING!
BLOCK!
STAB!
The two sliced and swiped at each other, Brave Heart instantly going on the offensive as he went with a thrust to the lung that was parried before the creature if the night countered with a slice to the neck, only to be blocked by the flat side of the divine one's knife.
An opportunity for a fatal wound was taken as the memetic god rushed in for the left lung and heart until DIO's blade deflected it, as he tried to go for the carotid artery only for his CPU adversary to block the arm before it cut skin and proceeded to stab him in the forearm.
BLEED!
"Urgh!"
TWIST!
YANK!-
STAB!
"?!" Brave Heart looked down in shock and slight horror, the metallic taste of blood that he was becoming all too familiar with forming in his mouth.
While he twisted and extracted his blade, DIO had the time to pull out another and stab him right in the liver, the deity not feeling the pain immediately, but sure as hell felt the fear energy trying to invade his body.
"What's the matter?! The taste of blood not to your liking?" The vampire mocked.
"Taste deez nuts, bitch!" A fierce retort escaped the pseudo protagonist's lips.
UPPERCUT!-
EVADE!
KICK!
GRAVITY!
SLIDE...!
Followed by a powerful uppercut that only managed to graze the chin of DIO as he made up for the elude to contact with a gravity kick which extended the range of the maneuver by nature, hitting the vampire right in the plexus which made him slide back.
"I'm sorry, that joke was in poor taste." The vampire continued his sardonic dialogue.
"I'm glad you could stop having a temper tantrum long enough to see things my way." A witty retort was what awaited him before Brave Heart pulled out the weapon from his bodily filter.
"Oh, shove off!"
DEFLECT!
CLASH!
BLOCK!
SLICE!
DIO rushed the wary Brave Heart once more as he was blocked with the knife on the deity's dominant hand, his other rushing in for a stab in the side only to be met with resistance as the two blades clashed before the silver-haired sociopath went for a direct thrust that was narrowly subverted by both knives intercepting the blade as the CPU sliced it away.
KICK!
STAB!.
"Son of a bitch!"
THROW!
STAB!
"Uwak!"
A kick to the plexus made the bloodsucker slide away, but not before he drove his knife into the kneecap of his opponent, making the brave god wince in pain.
But before he could stop in his tracks, through the burning pain Brave Heart tossed his knife straight into the adam's apple of his enemy, causing him to gutter blood.
RIP OUT!
TEAR OUT!
RUSH!-
GASH!
GRAB!
TWIST!
ELBOW!
The combatants tore out their knives from their wounds before re-engaging. DIO yet again rushed the adventurer deity as his blade barely scraped the undamaged cheek of the CPU's face as his head reared right before he was struck.
But the share-based fighter used the attack to his advantage as he gripped the sociopath's arm before twisting it over and smashing his elbow into his opponent's elbow joint, shattering it.
"ARGH!"
RAISE!
SPIN!
GRAB!-
STAB!
Brave Heart put pressure on the opening he created, raising his target's arm as he let go of the knife before gripping it as it rapidly rotated before stabbing his adversary in the armpit as it pierced through his shoulder.
THRUST!-
CRUNCH!
"WHA-!"
TOSS!
SUMMON!
BICYCLE KICK!
IMPALE!
FADE...!
"Motherfucker!" The benevolent god cursed harshly.
THUD!...
He attempted to move his knife to stab into the underside of DIO's jaw but before contact was made, his move was interrupted by the vampire sinking his fangs into the blade with a disturbing crunch as fragments of the CPU's blade went flying.
Brave Heart's surprise almost made him miss the sociopathic villain throw up his knife, momentarily sacrificing his eyesight as The World appeared before the weapon before bicycle kicking it back down, tearing right through the shoulder of the arm that held DIO, making the pseudo protagonist twist to the ground in agony.
ROLL!
STOMP!
KNEEL...!
A foot almost sent him to the Celestia gates as he tumbled out of the way before propping himself on a knee.
His body was starting to lock up due to the effects of the fear knives he was repeatedly stabbed, his Under Pressure starting to succumb to its effects from being wounded with such frequency.
SPLATTER!...
ATTRACT!-
SNATCH!
Blood dripped from his injuries as Brave Heart used his Attraction to grab the knife that DIO attacked him with as the vampire equipped yet another blade.
He had to end it quickly or else the eventual blood loss or the approaching paralysis would equate to certain death.
HEAT UP!
FEAR ENERGY!
BOOM!
DIO wasted no time in going for the kill, his blade being superheated before corrupted by his fear energy, creating a glowing white handle with a glowing black handle that radiated malice and heat that could kill from even being near it.
DEPRESS!-
CRASH!
WHOOSH!
Brave Heart didn't waste any time either, his enemy moving in quickly as he approached him with a subtle Repulsion upon kicking off the floor for an added speed boost.
SPIN!
GLOW!
EVAPORATE!
He used the tip of his index with some Attraction to spin the blade on it as it became purified, the knife itself having its dark energies being cleansed as it became lighter in hue.
TWITCH!
'What?!' The sociopath reacted.
DIO felt his legs lose all of their strength, as he began to fall over.
'That uppercut... It grazed my chin! He didn't do it intentionally, but my late evasion cost me the movement of my legs!' It clicked for the former boxer as he went down.
STAND JUMP!
Until he compensated for his impaired motor functions by using his stand as a stand-in for his legs, continuing his beeline to the bloodbath.
THRUST!
THRUST!
IMPALE!
Blood was drawn as both fighters ran each other through with their respective blades.
Their hands were covered in the other's blood as it shook with adrenaline before settling down, in an attempt to save their stamina to see who would lose the battle of attrition.
Chika rushed from the side, to see the scene before her with a security officer silent on the ground, the fear energy in the blood making him forfeit his consciousness and life if not treated, and two muscular men reduced to mannequins that went through 26 consecutive wars.
Her reaction was stunted as absolute shock took over any following action as she unconsciously felt the fear from the knife try to subdue her, but the shares from the other numbed it just enough for her to be in a state of semi-consciousness.
The silence was evident, as the two for once did not banter, their concentration needed more now than ever.
BLOODY VOMIT!
Brave Heart let out a sizable gob of blood as a maroon trail of red dripped from his lips.
"Whatever could be the problem, Nebula? Have you lost your appetite for battle? Or has your injuries finally made you lose your guts?" DIO sparked as a dangerous grin spread on his lips.
His hand and knife had entered and pierced through his small intestines, cauterizing the entry wound but only wreaking more havoc internally with his hand as the exit wound was continuously burning as the CPU felt his body burn and writhe in perpetual torment.
His vision blurred as he felt even his reduced as his body started to break down from the long overextended usage of his technique. But even in his dire state, he still managed to converse.
"I might not have guts, but I have heart. And that's basically the same thing in this situation. OR IS IT?!" The god eluded before obnoxiously yelling, blood flying out of his mouth as he did.
BLOODY VOMIT!
DIO involuntarily discharged a few liters of blood from his mouth due to his vampirism trying and failing to regenerate his fresh wound.
"Impossible!" He barely managed to wheeze before coughing some more.
His aortic arch had been completely destroyed with the stab, as well as a sizable chunk of his left lung with his entire left bronchi before exiting through his back as his hand started to tremble.
DROP!
CLANG...!
PULL!
PULL!
THUD!
Brave Heart dropped his knife as he was content with the damage he had done. DIO retracted his hand just as the CPU yanked back his as they both fell to the ground, flat on their backs.
"Outdone by you of all people... I will not stand for it...!" The vampire refused to stay down, fidgeting uncomfortably as his body bled out.
Pain spread from his heart to the rest of his body as the blue boi barely felt like he could stand back up.
"Then... Stay... D-Down... Dipshit." A faint smile made its way onto the divine meme lord's face. His red bodily fluids stayed within his person thanks to the nature of Under Pressure.
He willed himself to stay in the fight as he reared his head up to look at the downed sociopath.
STAND!
But to his awe and horror, DIO stopped moving before being lifted by the heels of his foot and stood upright, as a yellow translucent figure overlapped the bloodsucker before fading.
"No, I don't think I will." Was the declination Brave Heart received as he menacingly only walked towards him.
ゴゴゴゴ!
STEPS!
"Down there! They're by the Basilicom!" AL notified as Kars steered the rock.
The others finally arrived on the scene as they witnessed the scene before them.
"He's losing!" Domio stated the obvious.
"We have to get closer to help them!" Moru yelled, also stating the painfully obvious
"Will you people stop shouting every thought that comes to your mind like damn children." Taleia shushed as she looked down at the battle, desperately trying to hear the conversation.
"Looks like your hero is about to meet a tragic fate," Kars commented.
"Then help him!" Blinx angrily snapped.
"That would be cheating. I will not muddle my entertainment for the sake of Brave Heart of all people. Or any person for that matter." His tone became deathly serious at the end as the temporal feline stepped off, disgruntled and peeved.
"Will he be able to pull through?... Only time can tell." Cave genuinely asked both herself and the group as they helplessly watched over the fight.
Other staff members soon appeared as they walked in on the complete mess on the courtyard of the Basilicom, their anxiety turning into disbelief.
"Lady Chika! Are you- Dear goddess...!" A maid was derailed from her previous concerns as she saw what was going on, her colleagues in the same boat.
"It's DIO! We have to get Chika and leave!" A butler yelled.
"But we can't just leave the wounded of them there!" A security guard pointed to him menacingly walking towards Brave Heart.
STOMP!
HACK!
Before driving his foot onto the deity's neck, as he was prevented from speaking or breathing normally.
STAMPEDE!
"STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM!" Another guard yelled as all the security personnel present attempted to rush the man, guns toting and laser blades at the ready.
DUBSTEP FART!
TIME STOP!
TOSS!
SUSPEND!
But DIO had none of that, stopping time silently before throwing dozens of knives at the group before turning back.
"Za Warudo. Humans should know their place in the grand scheme of things. Staying unseen like trash and unheard like children. Ideal for their inferior kind." He monologued before taking out one more knife.
RAISE!
HEAT UP!
PLASMA!
"And false gods should be annexed alike. Do you understand?" He asked, his knife burning with heat, the blade turning into pure plasma.
"If so, THEN DIE ALREADY!" The sociopathic vampire roared as he brought down his weapon.
THRUST!
SWING!
Brave Heart narrowed his eyes as he brought his arms forward.
DIO saw his hands being brought together as he anticipated the maneuver his opponent was trying to do.
'Slapping my ears to disorient me? What an amateur. Your death will be swift and absolute.' He looked down on the god as he went for the killing blow, his focus solely on the face of his soon-to-be-dead victim.
STA!-
THUNDERCLAP!
"Ah!" The armed villain was shell-shocked.
A shockwave made the vampire flinch as he faltered, his composure lost as he was struck with an eardrum bursting explosion of sound.
Which gave the CPU just enough time to-
OUTSTRETCH!
REPEL!
TIME RESUMES!
CLASP!
"Baro Box!"
Push the demented bloodsucker off of him with a wave of Repulsion, before time resumed due to his power being overridden by overwhelming physical force as he went to seal him as his final attempt.
"URAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
TREMORS!
LEVITATE!
GRAVITATE!
The ground shook with fervor as the knives they would have stabbed the guards, the ground below them, the trees and shrubs, water fountains, and some bricks off of the Basilicom building itself were ripped from the ground as it moved to clump onto the villain.
"W-What just happened?!" Poona was completely lost.
"He got the jump on him," Domio answered, completely ignoring the vague response as the green-haired Commander looked on.
"Way to go, Neb!" AL cheered, the fore in his eyes burning with hope.
COLLECT!
DIO was suddenly entrapped in a mass of debris, quickly going from spherical to cubical as it grew and grew.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
BLEED!
COLLECT!
Some blood trickled from Brace Heart's nostril and lips as a visual indicator of his body hitting his absolute limit, as he went further beyond.
"I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!-" DIO screamed within the mass before he was buried under the floating fortress of debris.
This continued as the warriors above noticed their ally's condition.
"If he continues with what he's doing, he might not make it." Cave realized his bleeding.
"But if he lets up, he'll surely die." Kars presented an ultimatum.
'Please, hurry.' Taleia silently pleaded as her wave of anxiousness was reciprocated amongst the group, sans the alien.
"UAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...!"
TRAP!...
STEAM!...
RELAX...
Brave Heart breathed heavily, after successfully trapping the vampire in a box the size of a large mountain. He breathed out steam one final time before a mass of it left his pores as he returned to normal.
It floated with a grandeur only possible from a CPU as not an ounce of resistance was seen nor heard.
Chika snapped out of her fear-induced stupor as she looked and saw the blue god on the ground.
"H-Huh? Nebula?... Oh my goddess, what is that!?" She pointed.
"It was him, Lady Chika. That man over there, no, that CPU over there. He was the one." A maintenance worker directed her gaze.
"He... HE DID IT!" Blinx's voice wavered as he yelled, sounding as if he was on the verge of tired tears.
"Is it true? Is he gone?" Moru asked, blown away by what she had seen.
"I pray that he is," Cave told her superior.
"..." Kars and AL stayed silent, a startled and grim look respectively as Taleia questioned the two.
"What's the matter?"
DARKEN!...
Whether above, below, or grounded, all looked to the sky.
The cube became a sinister, darker shade as fear could be felt off of it.
"No...! NO!" Brave Heart, substantially weaker, desperately tried to keep the cube intact.
CLUTCH!
VIBRATE!
CRACKLE!
FISSURE!
But try as he might, the object only seemed to become more unstable as it shook and cracked with dark and gold lightning emerging from said fissures.
PAINFUL CRAMPS!
"UAAAAAAK!"
The CPU was beginning to suffer from the side effects of using his technique, the main one being a rush of lain from the combined use of KI and gravity. It broke his concentration as the cube was further compromised.
RUN!
"Nebula!" The Oracle of Leanbox rushed to his side, the staff following her as they tried to identify the problem.
Their focus was stolen by the much more dangerous threat that loomed.
CRACK!
CRACK!
CRACK!
STATIC!
It seemed as if DIO would break free from the prison he was in to finish off all who were present.
Until...
WHOOSH!
ZOOM!
'!' Eyes were widened, and brows were raised to the roof.
Brave Heart, AL, Kars, and Moru all other felt the energy or heard the presence of two incoming individuals as they reacted.
"Who is that?" The catgirl's eyes darted to the side before focusing, the others limiting her turn in direction.
"One of them I'm familiar with, but the other..." Kars' eyes widened, not accustomed to the pressure he felt from their approach.
"Are they friend or foe?" Cave inquired, her face sweating from what would happen if they were not with them.
"It's them... They're finally here." AL sniffled.
"WHO, AL? WHO!" Blinx screamed in a desperate show of will, wanting to know more than anything else.
"They have arrived..."
REVERT!
Nebula was now back in human form once he felt the presence of those two persons, a somber smile on his face as he let go, his hands relaxing as the grenette Oracle freaked out.
'You're up next, you two. I've done what I can.' His thoughts were broadcast as the glimmers in the sky heard his words."That's...!" Future Heart overheard the passing on of the defeat of DIO.
"Nebula's out. And I do not think there is any other reason why a cube that crackles black and violently shudders with the vibe of a VPU." Edge Heart confirmed hearing the sentence as he assessed the situation.
"Then I'll blast right through it. Get him, Chika, and the rest of the lot out of the danger zone!" The CPU Candidate told his senior god.
"It shall be done." The dark god gave him a nod.
"Right." Future Heart's tone became
FLASH!
VOOM!
In a flash of lightning and a burst of wind, the two moved at unbelievable speeds.
ZOOM!
COLLECT!
FLASH!
Edge Heart reached just in time to scoop up the group on the ground before placing them on the top of the Basilicom with him standing in front of them, static dancing as a flash of light followed his movements.
"...! When did you-?" Chika was startled by speechlessness.
"Just now. Brace yourselves." He answered the kerfuffled Oracle as the stoic god advised the humans.
"Took you... Long enough." Nebula coughed in-between words.
GLOW!
"Apologies. I just had to make sure Vergo was ready." He looked to the sky and stretched his free hand to his rival, making him glow as he saw his junior deity enter the fray.
GLOW!
GUST!
WOOSH!
Future Heart's lance glowed as share energy was condensed into it, making the colors flow before the wind around it spun akin to a violent squall. He rushed to the cube just as it broke.
SHATTER!
"UREEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!-"
"Cyclonic Breakthrough!"
PIERCE!
BOOM!
A/N:
Heya there, reader!
If you're seeing this, this is a rewrite of the chapter, just to correct some repetition, fix some spelling errors, and improve the spelling quality, especially in the earlier chapters.
So remember, italics and bold are going for gold.
And done. Left on an exciting moment AND wrote it ahead of time.
Oh, boy. The two remaining CPUs have finally landed and are the final reinforcements save the actual goddesses.
Not to mention Nebula having to hold the fort for so long that he almost got the W, just for it to be taken away in the end. From the seas to the skies to the earth, his tireless struggle was for naught.
How sad. If not for THE POWER OF HAVING FRIENDS-
But since the group has been reassembled, will the allied forces of the divine, the military, and the temporal be able to overcome DIO? Or will he overcome every fatal scenario for the last 10 chapters?
Only time, and the next chapter that ends it all will tell.
So there you have it, folks, the finale of this bloated fight is upon us!
Arrivederci.
