"Sensing my Mascot's presence shouldn't be too difficult to do but for some reason, it's barely traceable..." Vergo murmured to himself as he looked around the area, scouting for the position of the important entity.

"I know I'm still a shitter when it comes to being a CPU, but this is just plain unnatural. ASIC has its corrupt name all over this, and I can bet my bullocks on it." He grimaced, looking for cluesmQ

Flying in the air in his base, he looked around to feel out the position of the Mascot in an attempt to find its exact location.

He had been able to pinpoint its presence due to his link with this time's Leanbox Sharicite being established, which gave him share-sensing capabilities akin to Histoire.

The difference between the two was that while Histoire had a general perception of most if not all share-based objects, entities, and phenomena, the Leanbox CPU Candidate's variation was watered down to only such things concerning his nation.

He theorized that with time and training he could get it to be as advanced as the tome's, but this was what he had to deal with as of now.

Not that he didn't have the tools for the job otherwise, but rather his struggle to find the misplaced being was jarring to him since it should be easy given the circumstances.

But this unexpected difficulty spike made the CPU Candidate suspicious.

"The last place I sensed it was in this area, but it's completely gone now. Something's up." He concluded. "In this time period, it's ASIC without a doubt." He pinpointed before noticing a skirmish going on below him.

"Hmm? It's... Nisa! And Cave?! Yeah, something's going on, alright. This is nothing less than an operation to capture the Mascot." His intuition led him to that explanation.

"I want to help them out but if I do, my presence will draw suspicion. I'll have to move more covertly if I want to truly lend them my aid." A plan was formed as he looked to the cave entrance.

Using the clouds as his cover, Vergo made leaps and hours between each mass of floating water vapor, using the dust particles that they were composed off with his aerokinesis to give him a sensation of solidity and concentrate where his body made contact so that he did not fall straight through them.

'I can't just go through the front door, since that is the one way to draw everyone's attention on me.'

SPRING!

'Instead, I'll use the wind and silence my descent.'

'And crash directly through the top of the cave system. I'll have to put a vacuum sphere around my entry point at the exact moment I touch down.'

'Too early, and someone might hear from the vacuum filling up mid-entry. Too late, and everyone hears because I missed the quick-time event.'

Not many clouds were left before he hand to make the jump from the sky to the cave roof as he planned his entry. His eyes fixated on a point that he wanted to enter, purposefully selecting a brittle area that offered the least resistance, in which the least amount of debris would fall.

'If I enter through a weak point, simply inverting the sphere from vacuum to air bubble should suspend any broken pieces, making those inside unaware of my presence as well.'

'I don't sense anyone there either, so this should be the place!' The blonde deity decided as he prepared himself.

'This is it... Here goes nothing...!'

Vergo sprung from the last cloud, his person becoming a blur on the sky as he beelined towards the top of the cave.

Turning his body for his feet to face the ground, he put his shoes together and let his arms hang in the sky to maximize his speed, making the wind itself pull him towards his destination.

'C'mon... c'mon... c'mon...!'

His face tightened as he needed to get this just right. Total concentration was the priority as he tuned out all other stimuli, focusing on the weathered spot and his trajectory.

His feet were millimeters away from the ground when he suddenly absorbed the wind around him, forming a sphere of distorted space as share energy was being used.

Wind, sound, and even to some degree light was warped in that short moment as his feet made contact and shattered the ground around it as Vergo bulleted through the ceiling of the cave.

INVERT!

SUSPEND!

Upon breaking through the top, he quickly relinquished the sphere of its tweaked properties and instead used the air to stop the falling debris as he touched down, his feet making no sound as he quickly placed a vacuum there as well, copying the same timing as the ceiling.

Other than the obvious pillar of light that shined down on him from above as well as the debris that landed on the ground with no sound also, the CPU Candidate had made a practically seamless entrance into the hideout.

'Brilliant! I even doubted that'd work for a bit.' Honesty shined through his thoughts before he shook his head. 'No, I never left it up to chance. Now to find the Mascot!...'

He got back on track as the cave slightly shuddered with his silenced steps, his attention temporarily turning to the phenomenon.

'You guys handle the outside... I'll take care of things in here for the most part.' Vergo thought as he trailed deeper into the cave's interior.

But unbeknownst to him as he turned at a corner, another individual was unfortunate enough to walk to the corridor where this had just occurred.

"I can't believe that girl actually thought she was saying something that made sense." Tsked the esper as his eyes were closed walking towards the entrance.

"Always the insignificant preaching about hard work like they're fools in denial. It pisses me off." He grumbled, his face wrenching.

"If that was all it took to become the strongest, then I would've been on a godlike status long ago. Fools." He berated before he suddenly felt the sensation of light, causing him to squint.

"Hm...? How unexpected." Accelerator's eyes shifted to look at the hole, the debris around him and a blue sky, the clouds all leading to the hole upon further inspection as he analyzed the path taken to reach there.

A cloud disrupted from its natural position based on its warped shape. I'm getting interested in the people outside, but it seems I have options with another intruder among us." He looked back down, his eyes looking straight ahead.

"Let the cannon fodder deal with fellow fodder. I'll see if this person has anything to offer. Who knows, this just might be my lucky day." Excitement brewed in his heart as the esper became anxious if this unknown variable.

But meanwhile, at the entrance of the cave system.

Cave and the swordsman exchanged heated slashes as the battle continued.

The scissors and the longsword sent sparks flying as they constantly grated on each other's edge before disengaging.

Leanbox's SMD soldier went for another guillotine snip that was interrupted by the sword lodging in between the cutting edges of the blades.

After she was pushed away by the blade, the swordsman swung to her abdomen with surprising speed which scissors blocked with the sharp side of the blade as the woman skidded a bit from the excess force of the strike.

THRUST!

DEFLECT!

"Curses!" Cave flinched as she was sent to the floor.

SLASH!

She soon went for a thrust, that was stopped promptly by the flat side of the sword with the guard grunting from the force of the attack, before completely deflecting it as he swung his sword away, the recoil sending the soldier to the ground.

Capitalizing on the moment of weakness, the swordsman went for an incredibly quick overhead slash, the wind around his sword audibly making noise on the level of a small torrent to reach the redhead's position.

Cave narrowly dodged the swing, which spiked the earth from the intensity and rushed for a perceived blindside on his left, only to be intercepted by an upward return slash, causing another clash.

"You're better than I expected, miss." Complimented the grunt as he struggled.

"Likewise. Although I am sorry to inform you that this is a battle you will lose." Responded the soldier.

"Is that so? Then let our blades be the deciding factor, shall we?!"

Loudly inquired the ASIC member before he back stepped, and dashed ahead at the RRoD operative before another contest of strength was met as Cave parried the slash with a swing of her own, causing a noticeable gust as the dust scattered from the contact.

"Stay still, you little shit!" Roared the gunslinger as rounds flew from his guns, the bullets ripping through the sky as the superheroine evaded accordingly, her body maneuvering around and away from the trajectory as she approached him.

"Justice never stands idle in the face of EVIL!" Nisa shouted back as she quickly sidestepped two more bullets before testing in the air shortly before sending a roundhouse kick that was promptly dodged by the gunslinger before he got out of the way of a second axe kick which he kicked back for.

Another shot was fired as the cowboy hat-wearing guard pulled the trigger, the blue-haired heroine shooting up into the air to dodge the bullet as he flipped right side up before using his feet to stop his skidding.

"You'll never get close enough to actually land a hit, pimple-nipple! Enjoy eating some lead, instead!"

He laughed before firing multiple shots, the speed of the bullets dramatically increasing as they glowed with SP, streaks of fire being left in their wake as each corresponding munition spearheaded towards the airborne hero.

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY ABOUT MY CHEST, YOU RUFFIAN?!-"

Red was splashed onto her features after registering the comment that her opponent threw at her as embarrassment and anger burned from her face, so much so that she almost forgot about the magic bullet that was heading for her barely dodging.

She twisted her chest, dodging the round by a hair's breadth before it exploded not further than a few meters, the event pushing her forward into the others.

Nisa made an effort to quickly regain her balance before rearing her neck to the side, her cheek becoming seared as steam rose off the wound as she winced from fishing the second before looking back ahead to narrowly move her legs to completely outmaneuver the third, but her scarf was victim to the last before the all exploded near-instantly behind her.

"Having a tough time, girlie? SP bullets with fire enchanting tend to do that to a person." A cocky smirk was present as the cowboy spun both guns with his fingers.

'But neither of them have any sort of guns on them...' His eyes narrowed. 'There's still another one in the woodwork.' He got ready to fire once more until-

BANG!

The sound of a rifle shot echoed as the attention of the gunslinger was caught, his hand moving from the falling hero to the sound his ear heard the bullet.

"Shit!" Uni cursed from the bushes, her shot botched as she didn't predict the marksman would have such sharp senses to intercept her bullet... with another bullet. The resulting contact of share energy and SP caused a sizable explosion.

Her position sold out, the Lastation CPU Candidate continued to fire, her shots being intercepted or dodged as either a simple pull of the trigger or head tilt made sure none would come close to damaging him.

But a singular round caused her to abandon the tree, the natural structure being blown to burning bits and charted splinters as Uni rolled before aiming once more.

"So you're the sniper. Sneaky skank." Mouthed off the guard as a sinister grin was accompanied by his hat, making his eyes glow a bit as he looked at her. "Didn't you know camping is for the weak?" He snickered.

"Says the bastard working for ASIC. Like you have any room to talk. You'll be lucky to see the light of day when I beat you!" She shouted.

"And you'll be lucky to see the next day!-"

"NOT IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT IT!"

It completely slipped his mind, that he was fighting the blue superheroine as she pulled out her energy blade, ready to attack him at his most distracted moment.

Taking advantage of his caught off-guard demeanor, Uni shot right at his skull using her Paralysis Shot to ensure his infliction of a status effect when it hit, the bullet booming as the gunslinger now had to deal with simultaneous dangers as he was in a tough place.

"Dark X-Blade Slash!"

"Dos Toros!"

Nisa slashed at him, right when he put both magnums side to side, sending a flaming dual shot that connected with her slash, the corresponding explosion sending both parties back as the electrifying bullet punctured through his hat rim as the kickback from both the attack and the explosion put him at a safe distance, avoiding both attacks.

"Waugh!" Yelled the heroine in surprise, the recoil sending her a ways back as she gripped her energy blades with some adrenaline coursing through her body.

RELOAD!

"I can't believe I missed that shot too! He's definitely not normal...!" Commented the mini-tsundere as he reloaded her M14 rifle, fast fingers being used with utmost efficiency.

"Normalcy in a place like Gamindustri? Get your head out of the clouds. Or pretty soon you'll be in them, kid." Snarked the akimbo cowboy grunt as he put in new cylinders in his modded .500s.

"Grr...!" Growled the Lastation CPU Candidate as she fell back into the bushes, regaining her cover as she got ready to utilize her weaponry.

"You still haven't apologized about your remark about my bust! You'll pay for that, you scoundrel!" Nisa indignantly shouted, a comical fire in her eyes.

"What bust? Go through puberty and then complain." He shrugged.

"STOP IT!" Fumed the heroine before she rushed back into battle, Uni watching for all and any slights.

SCHWING! CLANG! CLING! CLASH! CLING! SCHWANG! CLANG! CLASH! CLING! SCHWING! CLING! CLANG! CLASH! SCHWANG!

Rapid sounds of metal sliding, bouncing off, and skidding on each other were heard as both combatants sent several slashes, trying with all their might to find an opening with each other's motions.

'Damn! As floaty as she looks, I can't find a definitive opening...!'

'This opponent is sturdy indeed. I'll need to apply some more abrasive measures.'

Both fighters realized the skill of their opponent before their blades were pushed back once more, their gazes locking as more effort was put into forcing a fault in each other's fighting.

Cave felt her shoulder burst from a wound as she clutched it, the sword swing not projecting any arc of wind or energy, but rather the effect near instantaneously as the boulder behind the soldier as well as the tree were both clean cut in half as she was wounded.

"You're open!" Roared the swordsman as he aimed for the damaged side of the SMD agent as her eyes widened.

She danced out of the way of the lateral slice before twirling the opposite direction to dodge another stab that managed to shred her corset.

An overhead swing with both hands was parried by the scissors as both warriors recoiled, the redhead soldier raking advantage of the opening by recovering first and snipping at the chest area of her enemy, his shirt fabric being cut as he sustained a noticeable cut at his abdomen, although the cut was shallow from his falling back.

"You actually got me... Not bad." He complimented. "But I'm afraid your injury is far worse." He pointed out.

"You need not worry about my grievances. For you are the one who'll be hurting! Full Burst Options!" She responded.

"What?!" Reacted the ASIC guard, as he didn't expect processors to suddenly appear and spin, charging their energy as she used an SP Skill on him in return for his bit of banter.

The lasers fired right after the swordsman managed to spring into the air, his body becoming some lines for a brief moment as he observed the cave wall that was behind at that point receive a large explosion, causing a gaping hole on the side of the natural structure, ironically right next to the entrance itself.

"He moved out of the way?!" Compa whispered loudly as she was in disbelief, the Nurse-In-Training not expecting an outcome like that.

"Most likely he dodged the trajectory, rather than the actual attack. It'll be hard to get the jump with someone whose reaction time's that quick." Explained IF, as the Guild Agent growers quiet once more.

Looking down from above as his legs were strong to the point as they jumped on the air itself, the guard reeled back his blade as he prepped for another SP Skill.

"Chōten!"

Cave once again was on her toes as she barely got out of the way of another last-minute attack as the ground suddenly erupted in dust and shattered from the pressure of the skill used. The dust shards buffeted her as she flinched from the speed of the pebbles scraping her skin.

Using his legs, he kicked off the air tens of times before becoming a set of lines once more, changing his direction with the same implementation as he zigged-zagged across the air towards the damaged RRoD agent.

Kicking inches from the back of his calf with his other foot, the guard spun with enough speed to rival an F3 tornado as roared through his velocity as he winded his sword back. Cave was fast enough to register the attack's closing distance but had little time to actually react.

"Kamisori: Tatsumaki!"

Metal clanged as the scissor blade came in clutch, preventing the side of her neck from being sliced off as the recoil made her teeth clatter, with some rattling from the force as it partially blocked the SP Skill. But she still received a cut to her neck, millimeters from her jugular.

However, her scissor cracked at the edge from the attack as the forest behind her was reduced to torn and ripped fragments of pebbles and clippings from the wind pressure being slightly moved from the block onto the background, luckily enough.

Not so much for the flora and fauna, though.

"Malicious Heaven!"

Shouted the SMD agent, as she sent the wind orbs right below her with her free hand, the creation of a high gust causing the guard to be flung up into the air by surprise.

He sustained minor injuries as his clothes were torn and skin scratched all over from the many razor winds within the mini-twister as his eyes squinted, the wind making it hard to see clearly from within the attack as he barely made out the RRoD agent mustering another SP Skill as she wasted no time to perform it.

"Time to Kill!"

Fire became a component of the active SP Skill as Cave combined it with another, to form a burning twister of DPS after throwing several fore spells into the fray as the guard felt himself being burned as he realized that she enhanced her initial move with the one just now implemented.

"IT BURNS!"

He yelled, before raising his sword high as his body endured the pain to bail himself out of the continuous damage that he received within the attack's presence. His blade glowed white for a brief interval before he roared the name of his SP Skill.

"Higesori!"

Yelled out Cave as she winced after attempting to dodge, her shin getting clipped by the attack as it made her feel indescribable pain for a split second.

She tumbled to the ground before stopping at a slide as a deafening boom resounded as her attack was cut clean in half, before dispersing completely.

She shook before standing up and looking behind her, her eyes widening from the damage done.

A huge crevice was created, from right where her leg was caught to several hundred meters as even the clouds above had been visibly parted. Forestry in the direct path of the line of destruction was obliterated as anything near was visibly moved from the pressure of the swing and the creation of the geological structure.

"W-W-Where did that come from?!" Whispered Compa as she saw anything like that before.

"...!" Eyes threading to budge out of their sockets, the brunette was stunned as she was struggling to grasp the extent the move had, even if it missed.

"IF!" Compa shook the shoulder of the shell shocked Guild Agent before her person became responsive as she turned to the student nurse.

"W-What? Oh, sorry Compa. I just didn't expect him to pull something like that out of his-... Look, we REALLY can't afford to get hit by that. She paraphrased, censored, and explained to her best friend as the blonde nurse nodded in turn.

"You don't have to tell me twice. I like living, thank you very much. I'm still worried about Cave, though. She's definitely hurting if any of that got to her." The Nurse-In-Training worried for her friend.

"You're right about that. But every time it seems like he's gonna slip up, he does something else to bail himself out..." IF spoke as she was becoming slightly frustrated with the lack of any exploitable areas.

JUMP...!

"..." Silence came from the sword-wielding guard, still jumping in the air as his body was smoldering from the fire and bleeding from the wind, yet he persisted in his efforts to fight through heavy breaths.

BLEED...

Cave, blood trailing from her shin and neg, looked up at the ASIC member as she mentally assessed the situation. Her breathing raspy and her form shaking, she went to plan her next few steps.

'I can't dodge his attacks directly... They are either too fast or show no indication of danger until they've already struck. Predicting them is risky since the wrong option could cost me my life...' Acknowledged the soldier.

'My prowess for dodging attacks will not be sullied. I'll have to awaken if I want to keep up with him, especially with his speed in the air.'

STAND...!

'Assuming that he can only do that in the air, it should be enough to match him, if not surpass him on the ground. If he can emulate such speed on land, then at the very least, I will regain a fighting chance.'

SHINE...!

SP started to slowly emit from the SMD soldier as her pigtails flowed from her power being unleashed as her green eyes glared at the floating adversary.

AURA!...

SPIKE!

Blue aura, the color of neutral SP became present as the slow aura became a swift surge as she took initiative to increase her energy as the surroundings became slightly darker, some dust being seen from the activation of the skill.

"Be wary of my power. My speed will not be made a fool of by your ability!"

Cave, with the indignation of not being able to dodge once SP Skills became involved reared its head as her Awakening skill dramatically increased her speed as her reserves were now being added to the equation, shown by a noticeable blue aura that hugged her body.

TRANSFORM!

"Come forth, slowpoke." The now-transformed guard spoke in a voice that echoed, his body slightly changing as his hair bleached from jet black to a withered and flowing white. His eyes became a glowing white as well, a gust of wind brightened the surroundings from the sheer force of his transformation.

"HE HAS A TRANSFORMATION?!" IF couldn't believe her eyes, never in a million years expecting a random no-name guard of ALL people to pull an isekai protagonist power move.

"He looks like that one guy that dodges all those attacks..." Referenced Compa, as she cupped her chin.

"THAT'S NOT GOOD, COMPA!" The Guild Agent sweated bullets as she looked between the RRoD soldier and the awakened guard. "If anything, we might have to jump in and help her any minute now." She spoke as the brunette thought about changing her strategy.

"But what can we do? We'll get beat up real bad if he even touches us once!" Reminded the Nurse-In-Training as she felt fear from the hypothetical scenario.

"..." Silence reigned in the bushes as the two observed.

GLARE...!

Eye contact was maintained as both combatants continued their staredown.

Cave seemingly instantaneously moved, her body disappearing so quickly that it left an afterimage, her body reappearing behind the guard to deliver a strike to his back as she trusted her scissors forward.

Yet it was blocked by the flat side of the grunt's sword as the reverberation echoed through the forest as the scissors shook from the recoil of its attack.

He retaliated, his opponent just barely evaded, her afterimage being cut in half as the pressure from his sword chopped the cave top clean off, the severed portion still ascending from the excess power.

"No... No way...!" IF was in disbelief at the feat, her eyes becoming shallow from her emotion.

"He just killed that cave!" Compa shouted, giving away their position as she quickly covered her mouth in remembrance, sharing an 'oh crap' moment with her best friend.

"Compa! That was a bad joke, AND you sold our position!" Shouted the Guild Agent as she alongside the student looked up to the now glaring down grunt.

"You know, ever since I got here, there seems to be an inflation of estrogen everywhere I go." Observed the flying guard.

"They're even hiding in the bushes for crying out loud. Do women grow on trees here?" A sincere yet comedic was asked as the swordsman got ready for another skill.

"WE GOTTA GET OUT OF DODGE! " IF shouted as she grabbed the bubbly nurse and bolted, not wanting to stay and find out how being like a shish-kebab felt.

A pair of footsteps echoed through the halls, as a pair of ASIC infantry patrolled the area. A casual conversation was the idea they had asked their topic pertained to the most recent piece of news, deriving from the events happening just outside.

"They're still fighting outside?" An ASIC grunt asked.

"Yeah. Shit's crazy. They told us to stay inside because it was starting to get hectic." Another responded.

"Why though? Can't we all just jump them?" A reasonable question, in theory, was asked.

"No. Higher-ups ordered so. Something about the two of them wearing them down to the point that even we could beat them if they manage to survive." The second grunt explained.

"But that's so boring." The first grunt slumped her shoulders. "I don't wanna wait until the food's cold. I wanna eat now!" She snapped.

"Careful you don't bite off more than you can chew." Warned the second grunt, her eyes becoming deadpanned.

"Oh please, I don't have a gag reflex." She continued the food analogies, that one getting lost on her accomplice. "Besides, the intruders out there are probably mincemeat anyway. SMITH and WESSON are local legends!" She praised.

"I guess you're right. They'd have to be like, inhuman to beat them!" She replied in kind as the two agreed on something.

'So that's their names...' Vergo, located on the ceiling above them with a vacuum that coated his body, used his shares to facilitate his breathing as he observed their conversation.

His feet remained on the ceiling and didn't let him fall to the floor thanks to his KI, as he used it to keep himself attached to the ceiling as he stooped down and observed the two goons.

'The Mascot has to be somewhere. I should probably take down one of them and interrogate them for the location. But I'll wait until one is present, to not increase the risk.' Planned the blonde.

The ceiling let some dust fall as the corridor shook from the cave top slicing attack.

"Let's go to a more open spot. Last thing I want to do is get crushed in a corridor like this!" Skedaddled the guard.

"Ain't gotta tell me twice!" Responded her partner as both individuals fled the premises, leaving the CPU Candidate by his lonesome.

Or so he thought.

"All this geological activity is making me annoyed. I really hope this intruder is more interesting than the ones outside." Spat the esper, his footsteps echoing through the hallway.

"Or their death is going to be slow and painful." Growled Accelerator as he walked with a done expression on his face.

The concept interested him at first, but the more he wandered around the labyrinth of a cave system, the more impatient and unamused he became his mood dipping as time went on.

It gnawed at him that the only thing interesting in terms of actually making his time useful was happening in the furthest place away as he went to look for the variable that might not even be worth the trouble if the riff-raff was anything to go by.

As much as he tried to stave those thoughts, the lingering thought at the back of his mind that he was wasting his time was starting to get louder and louder, and it irritated him to no end.

'He looks like someone who'll fold easy.' Thought the Leanboxian.

'I won't underestimate his stature, but his demeanor is definitely something that can be taken by surprise...' His gaze narrowed as he prepared to perform a silent takedown.

Springing from the top of the corridor, his body became blurred as his pole was summoned as it reeled back to prepare a stealth attack.

Expecting the strike to land without a hitch, the blonde deity was not prepared for the sudden shift in direction of the magnitude of his surprise blow, causing the staff to fly black, with him following closely.

'What the fuck?!' Vergo was stunned by the sudden redirection as the staff clattered on the ground, giving away his position as the esper turned to the origin of the sound as his vacuums turned off.

"The hell? Oh... Look what we have here. It seems I've found the sneaky bastard that thought he could get past me." Accelerator, now with a satisfied grin on his face, turned to gaze at the downed CPU Candidate.

"Shit. I was hoping you'd just go down easily. Now I reckon you'll have to suffer a bit." He stood up, before sticking his hand out and grabbing his bo staff after willing it to his hand.

"Thought talk coming from someone who found on the floor? Did you trip?" Jabbed the white-haired esper as he laughed.

"I sustained a proper tumble on the path to your nan's house, yeah." His accent thickened a bit as he mocked the member.

"Think you're funny, punk?" His smile widened his urge to smite the tall blonde growing as the conversation went on.

"For your information, I'm much taller than you. And speaking of being a punk, anorexia might be betraying your trash-talking. I suggest eating more vegetables before you collapse from a nutritional deficit." Smirked the Leanboxian CPU as he goaded the touted esper.

"Let's see you keep talking all that shit after this!"

Accelerator tapped his foot on the ground, causing a line of floor spikes to rapidly approach the green god, which slightly startled him from the near-instant activation.

He evaded it though, jumping into the air as the spikes misses their mark.

Kicking off a piece of the spike nearest to his foot, he sent it flying as the object suddenly burst forward with terrifying speed which almost escaped the eyes of the CPU Candidate as it headed towards him.

'That was fast! How the bloody hell did he make move like that?!'

His cheek now bleeding from the near miss, he put up his barrier of wind, redirecting any attack that posed a danger with his monologue in full swing.

"Scared of some stones? At least try to do something besides float there and look stupid." Talked down the skinny opponent as he sent more the blonde's way.

His stones, however, were suddenly redirected around the Leanboxian as a smile suddenly branded on his face.

But as expected, the weapon was simply bounced back, the blonde expecting it somewhat as he gripped his weapon as to not let it fly out of his hands a second time.

"Yet you still try to directly attack me once more. What, did you think attacking me dead ahead would work instead?"

He cackled some more, before stomping the ground, sending several earth pillars zooming towards the airborne enemy, in hopes of crushing and implying his body in one fell swoop.

Vergo maneuvered past the first one, the pillar crashing into the wall before flying down in a set of flips to evade the second one which also followed the same fate as the first, before rapidly jabbing the last earth structure with a speed that matched its creation as rock shards flew from its destruction.

Accelerator saw the incoming debris but stood completely still as they reached about a few micrometers from his body before being shot back at a far faster speed, turning into beams from sheer speed as the friction caused them to heat up due to their smaller size compared to the earth spikes.

The CPU Candidate's shoulder was suddenly impaled as most of the pebbles were marginally set off course, their velocity powering through the shield to the point that it only barely managed to miss the godling, but one tore off some of his shoulders as blood exploded from the wound.

He fell to the ground after spinning down towards it before tumbling across the corridor with a yell of pain as he winced in pain.

Vergo got to his feet to narrowly dodge another beam, now aware of their presence of the ultra-fast projectiles that his opponent could use as he dodged the next one from the tip of an earth spike.

Upon evading the attack, he hauled ass to close the gap, not wanting to give the esper any more time nor room to contour any more things to throw at him, hence his urgency whilst doing so.

"Not so fast, blondie!"

"Shite!" Cursed the future CPU Candidate as he stumbled on the shaking ground after it had been stomped on and cracked by the esper as he shouted in defiance.

His situation worsened when another set of spikes raced towards him after Accelerator erected their existence with a simple tap onto the ground as a complete wave of spikes that covered the ground completely barred any evasion on the ground and approached the blonde warrior.

When Vergo took to the air, a pillar of earth instantly rushed from the floor, the esper predicting that he'd go in the air to avoid the spikes on the ground, aiming it to where he'd be both in distance and height to knock him square in the center of his body.

Instead of doing something conventional such as dodging or blocking, he extended his pole through the pillar as it broke the earth it was comprised of as it pierced through the length of the structure as it grew in distance.

"?" Accelerator's vision was obscured, his eyes squinting from the dust as if he was expecting something to occur at any second, preparing himself.

By contracting to the position that the pole extended rather than letting it return to its initial extension point, the Leanbox CPU Candidate pulled himself right in front of the suspecting easier, disguised by the dust before immediately twirling his staff as he rehashed the SP Skill to become slightly more concentrates as he mustered a maelstrom of rotational wind that blew away the clouds as he roared its name.

REFLECT!

"AAAAAAH!" Screamed the blonde godling.

"I knew you were up to something!..." Madly smiled the easier before going into further detail.

"You used your blocked visage to get the jump on me, yet you still failed in the end. A half-decent strategy stumped by a superior power." He spoke as the attack had been fully reflected, the powerful whirlwind being flung back at the green-clad fighter, having to cross guard as his clothes and skin were ripped at as more of the red substance was shed from his body.

"Very good biography, too bad it has nothing to do with how I was handing your ass to you on a silver platter." Grinned the terrifyingly powerful esper as the god simply scowled.

"It does in fact since every biography needs a name. I'm sure I'll need one to write on your gravestone. Or is not having a body to bury a better option? Saves me the trouble." Vergo became uncharacteristically harsh, in hopes of gaining information on his opponent.

"Hahahahahaha! That's a freaking joke! You can't even land a damn hit and you think you're the one that's gonna make me kick the bucket?! You fucking retarded!?" Borderline psychotic laughter escaped the CPU Candidate's opponent.

"Very well. I'll say it slowly since autism and insanity must have reduced your brain activity into nothing but random spasms." Insulted the CPU Candidate, trying his hardest to get some answer.

"Why you...!" His eyes shrunk from anger before shouting. "It's Accelerator, and it'll be the last thing you hear before I turn you into a mangled corpse!"

He seethed as he leaned forward before firmly pressing the front of his foot off of the ground, his speed becoming undetectable for the blonde for a split second.

As if by instinct, his irises shifted to purple and pupils flashed glowing power signals as he felt a sudden burst in speed, twisting his body to send a heated, stone-faced glare as Accelerator was stunned by, missing his rush attack completely.

"Oi. What the hell was that?" The esper turned around to ask the CPU Candidate a question as he snarled with his irritated visage.

"Why should I answer? You gave me so much trouble to tell me your name, yet you expect me to spill my guts about my power?" Vergo kept the same energy.

"Accelerator, why do you keep reflecting my attacks owo?- See how fucking brain damaged you sound-"

'Bingo.' Vergo internally checked off, managing to not only cluster his opponent, but succeed in dodging that incredibly fast attack.

Accelerator screamed as he manipulated his surroundings in a way that caused a very apparent earthquake within the room, definitely the cave system, and most likely interfered with the outside fight.

BURST!

"I'm not going to drag this out. You'll be taking a dirt nap if you continue this. But I'm sure you understand the implications of fighting me from the look of fear you gave me just now." His tone betrayed his face as it left a taunting depiction as lime KI busted from his body in rippling spikes as he stopped holding back.

'...I don't know why, but if my body activated that failed HDD transformation on its own, then it's best to not let him get a single hit in...' Thought the green godling as he got into a fighting pose, his staff motioning towards his opponent.

"That's great! Amazing, even. Because I'm getting sick of looking at your aggravating face!"

Screamed the esper as he kicked off the ground once more, this time around Vergo barely being able to trace, but still perceived his movements as he dodged, at the cost of his vest fabric as the wall that was behind him cratered several meters. (Or what remained of it from his last fight.)

Accelerator rushed towards the CPU Candidate once more, trying to land the titular hit he needed to end things with a single touch. An outstretched hand was his first attempt, but that was swiftly evaded before he slammed into a wall.

His second try rebounded from his first as he pushed off the wall for a clothesline that was backstepped just enough to give him the illusion that he'd hit, but ultimately missed as he had to push from the ground before he landed teeth first.

And his final endeavor was to outright grab the Leanboxian CPU Candidate, to finally get that contact he desperately seemed after simultaneously twice. But a crouch destroyed that thought as he just ended up diving over his opponent before rolling into a backflip and sliding to a halt.

"What's the matter? Out of breath? To be fair, you do look like you have some kind of asthma. Then again, that's probably a red flag since you're fighting me of all people." Bantered the blonde deity.

Vergo fired another skill, this comprised of KI after dodging a flying kick that caused the entire corridor to shake from impact it had from the wall, so much so that the esper actually got his own foot stuck within it.

"Again!? Does nothing get past that! Social distancing knows no bounds with you! I bet you reflect all the bitches too, don't you!" Laughed the blonde, ignoring the fact that he too pulled no bitches, as he continued to play mind games with his enemy.

Accelerator pulled out a cocked FN Five-Seven from his jacket pocket, which prompted the Leanboxian to gain a face of interest before it warped to complete surprise when he suddenly... Aimed it towards the aide of his temple?!

"Look, I didn't think I actually pushed you to suicidal actions, mate! Life is a beautiful thing, bruv, you have a family, right?!" Panic became apparent as he didn't expect his opponent to suddenly feel the burning urge to commit breathen't.

"No. But I'm sure yours will miss you very much...!" A psychotic grin made its way to the esper's face before he pulled.

A singular casing rattled on the floor after the pistol let off a round. The once seemingly climactic moment quickly lost steam, until an air of awkwardness permeated.

"You still think this is about the bullets?" Answered Accelerator with another question. "Let me enlighten you, then."

Upon slamming his foot into the dropped shells, the casings suddenly became beams for their sheer velocity, ricocheting off the walls at near-light speeds, their mass exponentially increasing as the group of casings bounced off the walls, ceiling, and floor.

His body suddenly was gored by the shells in different areas, the CPU Candidate's arms, legs, and torso receiving very prevalent holes from the ultra-fast projectiles ripping openings through them as many parts of his body were affected by the attack as blood guard out right after as the ground was splattered with the godly blood with his aura dispersing upon the first hit.

"Uh oh. Looks like someone is having some trouble pulling themselves together. Even if they're starting to resemble a certain sponge." Mocked the mentally unstable esper as he took pleasure in seeing the blonde enemy suffer.

Leanbox's CPU Candidate screamed bloody murder as his body confused from the injuries worsened, pain overriding his other senses with the sensation as he only registered the pain as other mental functions were lost to the unbearable feeling from the damage he was sustaining currently.

"Don't tell me a light show's gonna make you croak? All of that talk and a couple of bullets puts you down? What a letdown. You really had my hopes up."

Berated the ASIC member as he continued to spectate his work. His face showed amusement at his opponent's underperformance but felt the dread of disappointment with his comments.

"It's about time I end this."

Before stepping on the ground, Accelerator decided to erect a floor spike, kicking it off its base, and grabbing the impromptu stalagmite before flinging it towards the green-clad deity's person.

Nisa roared as she attempted to throw several knives at her opponent, her Justice Knife skill being put into use.

Avoiding all the knives with a well-timed zig-zag pattern sidesteps, before shooting the final knife in just the right point for the entire object to spin back towards its owner at a somewhat faster speed as the blade became molten from the heat of the explosion.

"That's hot!" Shouted the heroine as she barely dodged her projectile, feeling the searing heat from her knife before it flew into the forest, burning through several dozens of trees.

"Motherfucker!" He yelled, trying to use the same hand to aim and fire back another magical round to cook the meddling tsundere that liked in the woods beside him.

His finger refused to pull the trigger as he felt his blood drip from the wound on the back of his hand he realized his situation after getting shot, some sparks flying around the wound.

'She numbed my hand! Crafty bitch...!-'

Bullet holes became present on the left rib, thigh, and shoulder as he flinched from the injuries, his body recoiling from the rounds as he stumbled accordingly.

Lastation's CPU Candidate quickly hid behind a tree, only for the bullet to make contact with an adjacent vine, before exploding near enough to the girl to completely destroy her defense, sending the splinters into her arms as she was blown away by the force of the attack.

"Damnit...!" Winced Uni, her arm now covered in splinters and bleeding, the pain becoming severe as she struggled to shrug it off and continue to fight. If she didn't keep him occupied, he'd surely deal with Nisa in no time at all.

"That smarts...! Oh no, Uni!" Yelled the party member.

Speaking of the superheroine, the blue-haired girl got to her feet and rushed towards the gunslinger with a single bound as he was caught up with the wounded CPU Candidate.

"You wanna go, billboard?!"

Roared the ASIC guard as he aimed his magnum to the heroine as well, shifting his aim as he pulled the trigger.

The gap was closed, but she was unprepared as the superheroine scrambled to reel a kick from below.

He gripped his remaining firearm with his free hand. Channeling his SP into it, the gun glowed before settling on a red hue as the very air around the weapon started to ripple from its heat.

His eyes became burning with power, his very pupils glowing alongside his cowboy hat as they looked towards his enemy, his appearance changing somewhat to represent his new utilization of power.

Out of the glowing gun emerged a projectile of fire, with its size far larger than what regularly came out, as it rippled the air around it and melted the earth asunder with Nisa being almost caught off guard by its sudden appearance as she snapped back to reality.

Dodging the bullet was only half the attack, as the magic round detonated within the depths of the forest as everything within it was instantly incinerated as the surrounding trees, rocks and monsters were blown back or melted from the ferocity and heat of the wind wave that even Uni and Nisa felt, many meters away as the area shined the same orange.

"Such heat!" Noted the heroine.

"So hot...!" Muttered the goddess.

"I know, I know. But you should have told me that earlier. Then I would've thought about sparing you." Sniggered the gunslinger before the cylinder spun rapidly, magically influenced.

Many projectiles zoomed from his gun's muzzle as it made the area orange-red with its heat, as explosions by the dozens filled up the view of the hero of Gamindustri as she looked down, not expecting the number of attacks that were below her, ready to light her up like a Nepmas tree with no reservation whatsoever.

Luckily for her, the heroine fell from grace, or more precisely the air as the attacks just barely missed her, still feeling the intense heat of the explosions as she landed from the sky with sweat covering her body, her bodysuit on the verge of chaffing from the intense temperatures.

More fiery projectiles came for the superheroine's cheeks as she dodged them, moving from a cartwheel to avoid the first before moving into a slide to dodge the second, a flip to dodge the third, and an acrobatic split to dodge the last one as she was untouched but sweating profusely from the heat.

"Finally... O-Ow, this really hurts...!" Uni winced, finally ripping the last of the sharp splinters from her arms. She wanted to have the best possible aim then, knowing that she could not afford to miss, blood mixing with sweat from the temperature spike.

"I can't let a single shot reach Nisa. I need to make sure this one hits its target."

Focused the Lastation CPU Candidate as she aimed, her sight resting on the flaming cowboy of an ASIC guard. It lingered on his body before getting a more accurate spot to fire as the gunner found the ideal place to target.

She just had to wait for the perfect moment.

'An opening...!' Her eyes sparkled with joyous determination, as Nisa had nested close enough to disarm the marksman a second time, ready to completely put him out of the game for good.

The gun that she had kicked into the air not too long ago had finally been pulled down by the laws of physics, smacking the bluette right on the noggin, temporarily stunning her as she lost all train of motion, her golden opportunity seemingly passing her by.

Looking around, he saw the superheroine wiping her mouth of the blood sustained from the injury and the plain view sniper beside him as his eyes darted between the two, his pistols aiming at each opponent.

"He's preparing something huge!" Nisa warned.

"Heh. That's what she said. Brillo Solar."

BLAST!

Two large beams of scorching fire ejected from the guns, each one aimed at the two party members as they felt the immense wave of heat fat before the beam even reached them, the ground around it not melting, but rather evaporating from its heat.

STANCE!

"Justice...!" Breathed the heroine, getting ready to challenge the attack.

"!" Uni lowered her weapon, knowing nothing in her arsenal, except for a single maneuver which she barely had the time for. But it beat being turned into a burnt chicken nugget, so she went with that.

"KICK!"

KICK!-

"ACCESS!"

GLOW!-

CLASH!

ENVELOP!

Nisa challenged the beam, her foot barely managing to slow the path of the attack as she was now being carried by the beam, the heat making her lose what strength she had to oppose the attack as she gritted her teeth and endured the pain she felt as her foot had ignited from contact.

Meanwhile, the Lastation CPU Candidate was swallowed entirely by the wave, her figure being enveloped in a white light just before her body was overcome by the heatwave, any trace of her person now within the lethal heat.

The lasers left nothing but smoke and fire behind them as the very arena rippled with soaring temperature, even their caster feeling the burn as sweat came off of him as well when he observed the straight line of oblivion that smoldered in its wake.

"That... Settles... That..."

GRAB!...

He breathed, his breath hitched from the heat, taking a canister to drink with its contents comprised of several SP Chargers as he went for a swig.

DRINK!-

"!" His eyes almost busted out of their sockets as he choked on his drink, the container now leaking the remaining liquid as it had a large gaping hole between both sides.

"The fuck?! Who the- YOU!" He shouted, his ire focused on the sole individual before him.

"I'm not going down that easy," Uni responded as she stood tall.

Her clothes were somewhat charred and scorched but covered where they needed to, and a smidgen more albeit with some smoke coming off the ends. The same could be said for her injuries, burns littering her body with few places unscathed.

But something that stood out, was her eyes.

For the most part, Uni was still human with no changes whatsoever to her physical state as she kept her black twin tails, and her frame remained identical to her normal form.

But her eyes radiated divine green, white power signals glowing in place of her pupils as she stared down at her opponent. Share energy could be seen glowing off of her body as she locked eyes with the gunslinger, her rifle in her arms.

BANG!

DODGE!

...

BLEED...!

Her hip fired, the bullet being avoided via neck tilt as the guard still had an angered expression on his features that soon became surprised as blood leaked from his cheek, the round actually grazing him.

BANG!-

SCRATCH!

BANG!-

GASH!

BANG!-

GRAZE!

The CPU Candidate continued to fire, her bullets now landing considerably more damage than they did before, the fact that they hit without her opponent needing to be busy speaking leagues above anything she did up to that point offensively.

Her opponent was repeatedly damaged, his injuries slight yet present as they stung akin to bee stings as he winced, looking to his most recent injury as his eyes shrunk with realization.

BOOM!-

KICK-OFF!

EXPLOSION!

So he shot back, his round being swiftly evaded as the twin-tail party member got out of the way of the attack with a simple movement as she looked as if her body blurred for a split second before the explosion went off at her previous position.

He continued to track down the incredibly agile goddess, his eyes just barely keeping up with her as she moved around him at almost unnoticeable speeds as he tried his best to clip her, but his shots were always a second behind.

PIERCE!

"Fuck!"

SKID...!

She returned the favor with another shot, seemingly hitting him in the lower abdomen as he visibly skidded from the damage, his face sweating from the damage, starting to crack from the sudden pressure.

"Balas."

BOOM!

LOCK-ON!

The marksman shot some more projectiles, but not before they curved to the direction of Uni's position as they tracked her presence on the battlefield.

APPEAR!

BANG!

EXPLOSION!

VANISH!

Lastation's CPU Candidate appeared from her increased speed, instantly firing her weapon and canceling out the round with a single bullet which prompted an explosion before disappearing as the remaining rounds changed direction, still able to track her.

REAPPEAR!

BANG!

EXPLOSION!

DISAPPEAR!

Uni repeated the process, this time the bullet leaving her almost open to the remaining round, feeling the heat it radiated before vanishing once more, the heat-seeking projectile calculating its target before making an acute turn towards the mini-tsundere.

Coming back right into the position of the round, it immediately exploded on contact as the gunslinger grinned in contentment. He knew it'd take more than a single bullet to kill his opponent, but landing a solid hit was a step in the right direction.

ZOOM!

"WHAT?!"

"VENOM SHOT!"

BANG!

"ARGH!" Yelled the marksman guard, his right lung getting pierced by the poison round after his opponent. His blood shot out of his chest as he fell to the ground, barely holding himself up with one arm as he aimed his gun at the goddess, who landed before him.

LAND!...

"You fought well, for a guard." Stoically complimented the skill of her opponent, as she gazed upon the downed form of her enemy.

"And I'm still fighting!"

BOOM!

BOOM!

Firing two more shots from his outstretched gun, the guard refused to give in and persisted as his shots approached the CPU Candidate.

MISS!

EXPLOSIONS!

But they were easily evaded with two canes of the neck, the rounds only serving to create an intimidating background for the sister of Noire as she continued to look down on him, her eyes glowing green as she gave a cocky smirk whilst doing so.

"You can stop now. You'll die if you continue to waste your energy." She warned.

"And what makes you say that, huh? Some contacts, overconfidence, and being a snarky bitch isn't gonna give you the win."

BOOM!

Snarled the ASIC guard as he aimed his gun right between the eyes of the little sister.

EXPLOSION!

SMOKE...!

Uni didn't even bother to react as the projectile hit her square in the face before exploding, before the smoke cleared as it revealed her with only a small injury between the eyes, not drawing any blood whatsoever.

"H-How?!" The guard was flabbergasted.

"Every shot that landed after I transformed was a Venom Shot, but I only called it out once for shouting sake." Revealed the tsundere sister.

"Up to now, your strength's slowly been dwindling because of it, and the fact that I felt nothing she. you shot me means that your bullets directly scale to your energy, which is severely lacking."

AIM!

Enlightened Uni as she then trained her gun at the ASIC personnel.

"So concede. Give up, and I won't have to kill you." Offered the Lastation CPU Candidate as she gave the man the option to surrender, not wanting to spill any more blood. At the very least, for her Planeptunain friend's sake.

"..." Silence became dominant as the guard found himself at a loss. He didn't want to concede, yet he didn't want to be imprisoned, or worse.

His ability had been figured out, and he was at a definitive loss at the feet of a girl who was ready to blow his brains out.

He looked to the side, observing the fight beside him, already knowing his fate as he hoped to be alone in the defeat department.

"My surviving enemy senses are tingling." Muttered the swordsman as he looked around him, his eyes open wide for his opponent.

On the top of the cave, however, stood the SMD agent, Guild Agent, and Nurse-In-Training as they remained undetected to the ASIC guard as he carefully stalked his surroundings for their positions, knowing that their new hiring spot wouldnt be safe for long.

"We got away from him this time, but our escape will not last long." Instilled Cave as she whispered to the others.

The bubbly nurse tended to her wounds as she crouched to make her presence less noticeable as IF did the same next to her, Compa already on a knee dealing with their DPS' wounds.

"Right. Sorry we couldn't help you out there, Cave. He had us outclassed and left no openings from the start." The brunette came to terms with their inferiority as the soldier responded.

"It is quite alright. Your nurse is doing her part, and keeping the two of you safe is pivotal to our mission. I have no complaints about your performance or lack thereof as of late." Relinquished any criticism as the redhead was satisfied with her allies' safety.

"I won't let your injuries let you lose, Cave!" Compa said with a sense of devotion, her duty as a nurse being put to work with her patient solely recovering her strength from her encounter with the swordsman.

"How about you make it up to me, then." Offered the soldier of the RRoD as her emerald eyes locked with the Guild Agent's leafy green.

"What do you mean?" Inquired the brunette.

"You cannot exploit any openings that aren't present. So instead of just waiting for one, work with me to create one." Cave expressed a different course of action as she looked to the battlefield.

"But I'm not meant to take all of those hits." She brought up, starting to question her capabilities in the face of such a deceptively powerful opponent.

"Then dodge them, silly!" Compa cut in, stopping her friend from getting cold feet.

"That's what you always do, right? Don't let him intimidate you because he's better than you in every single way!" She tried to encourage but just came off as putting her down in the nicest way possible.

"Just believe in yourself and work together. I know we can win this!" She made a cute face of determination as she looked towards her best friend with sparkles in her eyes.

"Thanks, Compa... I think? Just stick to the nursing, it suits you better." Her efforts resulted in mixed emotions as she then looked back to the enemy.

"But I gotta help the best I can. You guys are all doing your part, so it's time I do mine." She decided before her eyes grew red.

Her hair grew blonde as her accents and coat became red, some trimmings and socks becoming orange as well as flame patterns appearing on the edges of her trench. IF's bow also gained a flame-like design, with it becoming black with a fiery pattern as her sleeves emulated this trend. Even her shoes became a mix of red and black as a white pillar of light, orange radiating from it with numbers rotating around it from the ground under her for a brief moment before it subsided as an orangish-red glow of energy radiated from her figure as she stood, completely different in appearance.

IF looked at her appearance through her own eyes as she commented on the change.

"My Flame Awakening... I haven't really gotten the time to use this transformation in battle. I even held it back against CFW Judge, because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to use it efficiently. But now... It's now or never!" Burning resolve was instilled into the Guild Agent as the SMD member acknowledged her drive for defeating a common enemy.

"Our wills are united. We will not lose!" The two Makers were ready to roll just as the swordsman's eyes locked onto their location, two glimmers of orange and blue attracting his attention as he spoke to himself.

"I'll finish this quickly...!"

ZOOM!-

VANISH!

He asserted his course of action, before kicking off of the air itself, becoming a blur of movement as a powerful gust of wind was left in his wake of speed.

GRAB!-

AFTERIMAGE...!

IF and Cave immediately split, with the redhead taking the nurse to safety near Uni, as the now blonde fighter leapt from the cave top simultaneously, right before the ASIC guard cleaved the area they stood on, a huge spike of dust left where the group of three once resided. The attack was once again invisible to the naked eye, and wasted no time in slicing through the dense rock like butter.

'That was close! I still can't see his attack's trajectory, though!' Thought the Guild Agent as she sailed through the air, her reactions now being able to move her away from danger at a much faster rate than she'd normally be able to.

REAPPEAR!

"?!"

TURN!-

From her flank, the swordsman reappeared, his sword reeled as it was ready for a critical strike to the back of the girl, as she barely managed to pick up his movement with her senses. She swiveled her body, turning to face the guard as to not leave such a detrimental area exposed just as he swung his blade to attack her. Her Qatar swiped through the air to make contact with the blade as she rotated her body, cutting a few seconds to actually put a countermeasure in place that may have not made its mark in relation to her opponent's speed.

Their clash pushed the two back as the swordsman was propelled further into the air as IF felt herself zooming towards the ground as she maintained eye contact with the guard, approaching the ground.

FLAMES!

She landed with a skid before rolling out of the way of a aerial stab that fissured the floor, creating a cloud of dust. The ASIC guard lunged though the dust which the blonde narrowly managed to deflect the blade as she counterattacked with a flurry of stabbing motions, using both Qatars as the combusted into scorching flames. But the blade wielder simply twirled his sword, managing to deflect every stab as he blew her own flames back to her in a turn of events that the Guild Agent did not expect.

"Tch!" Grunted IF, being inflicted by her own attack as her eyes squinted from the heat as she endured with the fire that had come to lick her boots.

KICK!

TUMBLE!...

Speaking of boots, one was implanted right into her gut as she blocked, the exposed midsection being targeted by the ASIC member as he utilized the unconscious opening the transformed party member gave him to send her tumbling. She coughed a bit, her abdomen burning from the impact as she wiped her mouth of any spit that flew from the blow before continuing their battle.

ZOOM!

She moved to attack again, but saw something in the corner of her eyes, approaching the two of them as she barely registered their presence She only picked up their green eyes as they neared the swordsman. The individual closed the gap and was upon the swordsman guard as he felt something incredibly prevalent behind his person.

"Hnn!"

SWING!-

CLING!

"Grr!"

SLIDE!

Cave managed to get the jump on the swordsman for a brief moment as he used the wind's reaction to predict where she was to block accordingly. Upon their blades clashing, he was forcibly moved by the pressure of the soldier's swing as he was now focused on two opponents, at a numerical disadvantage as the Guild Agent took in the scene before her.

RUSH!

IGNITE!

SWIPE!

Taking advantage of his distracted frame, IF engaged by aiming for the warrior's flank in his moment of vulnerability as her blades ignited with fire. A well aimed strike to his lower back was fast approaching as the blonde sent her arm zooming through the air towards her target area as the fire coned in response to her will, in the hopes if landing said attack.

SWIVEL!

SLASH!-

SHOCKWAVE!

"No way!" IF became flabbergasted, the guard not only being able to recover his stamina in such a short amount of time but had the energy to directly counter her attack, just as she did to him not too long ago. His blade gained a visible coating of razor wind as he did so, and the contact made by the two elements caused them to react accordingly, as the fire was strengthened by the wind to the point that a magical wave of augmented flames emitted from the clash as the weapon clanged from their respective opponents.

Cave braced the winds as she guarded her eyes against the razor winds, her body sustaining more punishment from the effects of the swordsman's side of the shockwave.

He took to the skies with another powerful jump, his figure vanishing before reappearing as he spun around and threw his sword down to the Guild Agent's position, the blade becoming invisible from its speed as IF looked up just in time to see it disappear.

EVADE!-

She managed to get out of the way, but the blade managed to cut through her undershirt as a large rip was created as the girl suddenly gained a rather revealing modification to her clothes.

"?!" Her face immediately reddened at the implications of what occurred as she was distracted for that short period.

"Kyaaa!" A feminine scream escaped her lips as she understood the situation she was now in, her modesty partially exposed as she used her sleeves to cover herself in embarrassment.

"You bastard!" She seethed in response to his action.

"IF!" The redhead soldier yelled in realization before looking up to the ASIC member with a stern expression. "You'll pay for your transgressions against my ally!" She shouted as he turned to her.

"By all means. Do your worst."

STRETCH!

He reached out for his blade, the weapon flying into his dominant arm before swinging the sword at the two, an intense pressure starting from the point between the two Makers before it rapidly expanded as another attack had been placed.

IF and Cave got out of the vicinity of the attack radius but wasprivy to witnessing the collateral damage it caused, with a line of dust flying into the sky as the ground depressed several meters the sound of an obnoxiously loud metal slice reverberated with Horsebirds in the neighboring area immediately fleeing upon hearing the noise.

"Kaze no Kizu!"

They booked it, gaining distance from the swordsman as they heard his voice yell through the thick dust clouds that obscured him.

Dozens of barely visible arcs appeared as the clouds parted, the two being alerted to their presence by the sounds they made as they came into proximity.

Leanbox's SMD agent simply outmaneuvered the first one to arrive with a show of speed, letting it hit an afterimage. Meanwhile, Planeptune's Guild Agent double backflipped out of the trajectory of the second one as it made contact with the ground. The third one was simultaneously evaded as both party members crossed each other's paths to evade the subsequent projectiles periodically as they managed to stay unscathed.

"You speak with valor yet cower before me! At least make it interesting! Or were you just bluffing?"

APPEAR!

A genuine question, coming across as cockiness due to the goon's tone was shouted as he made a move to close the distance between him and his enemies.

The swordsman stomped his feet into the ground for maximum traction before going for a wide slash that was quickly ducked by IF, her forehead receiving a small cut from the maneuver as Cave used her scissors to jam the blade in place as she felt her arm bones rattle from the five they absorbed.

But the trouble they went through paid off, upon the Guild Agent capitalizing on an opening created by the RRoD soldier as she swiped her Qatar as it ignited upon moving fast enough as her SP empowered her weapon, wounding the guard as his side was cut as blood spilled.

ROUNDHOUSE KICK!

"Kuh!"

"IF!-"

ELBOW!

"Hrngh!"

He quickly got himself out of the bind by using his awkward position to his advantage, being in just the right position to execute a roundhouse that smacked the

blonde in the jaw as her ally yelled in surprise.

GRAB!

Taking advantage of her demeanor, he curled his elbow ninety degrees to bop the redhead off of his sword as he staggered from the impact, retrieving his sword in a matter of moments.

STEP!-

BLUR!

The ASIC guard soon got into Cave's personal space as she got her footing as they locked eyes, the soldier seeing the intention he had with his blade, going for a tremendously powerful ascending slash.

"HIGESORI!"

GUST!

She knew if he managed to succeed in letting off the attack, she'd surely be finished. No doubt about it, even if she was ten times as durable. Whatever the sword wielder had, it was not normal by any standard. The floor scattered the dust around them at an increasingly rapid rate, signifying that something strong was quickly approaching.

"What?!" Exclaimed the guard, as Cave's eyes widened in tandem.

TUMBLE!

IF managed to barely recover in time to spare the soldier a fatal slice, slamming her body into the swordsman as she sank her Qatars into him when contact was made, prompting the man to guffaw a trail of blood as the two skidded on the ground.

"Take this!"

Metal ripping and tearing echoed as the Guild Agent tore into the goon's body as she stabbed and sliced to the point where it seemed that her hands were in multiple places at once as the red substance coated her weapons as spread all over her clothes.

Her opponent was shocked as he felt the scorching pain of her weapons ignited to inflict even more damage on his body as his clothes were burning from the contact, as were his innards.

"Demonic Inferno!"

PILLAR!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

IF roared before activating her SP Skill as she prodded the enemy, the pillar of fire being much more vibrant and bright than what it was originally. This caused the goon to be engulfed in superheated flames as his body rose within the attack as he screamed in pain. The Guild Agent distanced herself from him as she regrouped with Cave to observe the effects of her technique.

"A commendable effort. You followed your prerogative to a T." Noticed/praised the soldier of Leanbox.

"Thanks. But It's not over yet. We still have to beat him!" The blonde responded before looking back to see that her attack subsided, yet the ASIC guard remained.

His shirt was burned off, and severe burns to the 2nd degree marked his entire person. Unfortunately, the heat managed to cauterize his injuries inflicted by IF somehow, keeping him in the fight just barely, despite the massive amounts of damage the man took beforehand whilst he was still being pinned and punctured. Smoke smoldered from his body as he coughed some out of his insides as well.

"You had me there...! I'll admit, I was sure I'd be finished by such a haphazard assault. Yet I still stand on my feet."

CLENCH...!

He gripped his sword with both hands. His eyes shifted between the two as he continued to speak, their glowing coming off as equally intimidating as his sword stance.

"So I will not waste any more time. You two ladies seem adept enough to survive for this long, so what harm should fighting without restraint cause?" He inquired.

"Wait... You weren't fighting with your full power?" Cave realized the fact as she repeated his words in her mind to make sure what he said was not a hallucination, especially after all they went through so far in the fight up to this point.

"But you transformed and everything! That doesn't make any sense!" IF was lost, not understanding how the man before them could still harbor any more strength behind his words. It almost seemed like an elaborate bluff. "You're bluffing! Quit the tough guy act and go down already!" She was not impressed with his words in the slightest.

"Fine, then. Doubt my words, but you'll have to believe my power."

His form became illuminated as a white light projected around his body. His hair faded back to its black color as his eyes glowed silver instead if being the color. The sword he held glowed as SP was channeled into the blade, preparing for something with unearthly capabilities as he tightened his hold on the hilt of his weapon. His longsword hummed with magic as he carried on the conversation.

"If you can manage to withstand this, your passage is assured. I swear it."

GUST!

He grinned, easing into an offensive position. The area darkened as rings of dust were blown away from him, the clouds even blowing into the pair of Makers as they shielded their eyes with their forearms as they conversed with one another through the winds.

"Even after I stabbed him so many times...!" The Guild Agent's features hardened as she looked down with a grimace. "We have to defeat him, now!" She ordered, not wanting to see what the guard had waiting for them.

"A direct charge will only result in death! We must find an alternative!" Cave stated what seemed to be obvious, yet with how much SP accumulated into one area, anything but seemed like a fool's errand. His current appearance left no openings to take advantage of and his power only seemed to skyrocket the longer they hesitated.

"He uses wind, right? And both of us can use fire-based attacks. We just need to use his attack to enhance our own to be able to overcome his raw power." She quickly scraped up a strategy.

"How should we go about it? None of our individual attacks have fully prospered against him. I suggest a combination of our talents into a force of equal reckoning." The redhead opted for a reasonable suggestion.

"Exactly! I don't know how much time we have left, so let's make it quick! Distract him and wait for my mark!" IF commanded as she ran into the forest, as Cave watched her fleeting form before looking back at the glowing swordsman. "You'll know it when you see it!" She gave her an idea, albeit vague.

"Running away already?" An amused tone escaped the guard's lips. "And after all the trouble I went through to prepare myself. If all who wish to interfere with ASIC are this spineless, then Gamindustri is surely heading to its doom." He commented with some snark.

"Do not even jest about such things!"

AFTERIMAGES!

Many copies of Cave circled around the goon, as he remained quiet. After some simple counting, he found that approximately twenty speed clones of the SMD agent currently surrounded him as he opened his mouth to speak some more.

"Comedy is rooted within the truth." Uttered the swordsman before he stayed put.

Meanwhile, IF stopped a ways within the forest, as she turned around to get ready to begin her answer to the grunt's magnum opus.

"Alright. This is it!" She closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she focused.

"IF?!"

"GAH!" The Guild Agent was startled as she jumped from her name being called. She quickly looked around to see if it was Cave, but her eyes fell on another familiar face. "Wait a minute... No way!"

It was Nisa! Her leg was exposed and burned, with her clothes smoldering as she stood before the blonde, but she was nevertheless still in one piece. "You look different! I didn't know you dyed your hair. And are you showing some more skin than usual?" Questions were thrown at the party member, faster than she could answer at the moment.

"I didn't dye it- Hey! I didn't do this on purpose, y'know- Nevermind all that for now, did you guys beat the other guard?" Asked the transformed tsundere, her expressions shifting through exasperation, embarrassment, and seriousness.

"I wish I could answer that question. But I was knocked away before I witnessed the conclusion to such a climactic fight!" She was upset on missing out. Her heroics were wasted!

"Well, you can still help me instead. Up for it?" IF requested the superheroine's assistance. She needed as much help as possible for this opponent, and no hand that was willing to lend assistance would be turned down.

"Of course, IF! What do you need my assistance for?" Nisa asked, on board with the course of action.

"Something that can increase my strength. Got anything?" She asked of the superheroine.

"I do. Justice Heart!" Roared the heroine. "Burn, fight spirit, burn!" She roared.

FLAMES!

The blonde Guild Agent felt her parameters of raw physical strength considerably rise as her fiery aura made itself known as her power rose to the occasion.

"Thanks a bunch, Nisa." Gratitude was present on the Guild Agent's face. "One more thing." She looked to the wounded heroine.

"Yes?"

"I want you to do something for me." She told her.

They exchanged some words. Upon coming to an agreement, the blue-haired girl nodded before moving ahead.

"That settles it. Now let's get down to business." IF closed her eyes.

Her hair slowly elevated before it stood on its ends as its locks flapped wildly. Fire spread to burn the ground around her as the air around it rippled as a result. Her Qatars ignited in flames before being coated with them as the edges became superheated with the heat itself becoming concentrated in the sharpest section of the blades themselves. The area around her soon became burned akin to charcoal under a barbeque fire as she took off.

BLAZE!

RUSH!

When she dashed, her feet left a trail of flames in its wake, her vision starting to zoom out from the speed she went as her arms flew behind her back, akin to a certain ninja. Her distance from the swordsman closed significantly as she increased her speed with a flaming barrier in front of her as she moved towards the windy adversary.

"She's run off. Too bad. I guess I'll have to settle for you." The goon came to a decision after his EXE Drive was fully charged.

WIND WAVE!

AURA!

STATIC...!

The winds became unstable as the aura around the guard became almost blinding. Some white static accompanied his frame as he smiled. Most of the redhead's afterimages were dispersed upon the pulse of power as she was sent skidding back to her previous position.

'Where are you, IF...!?' Cave looked around for the blonde's position as she was nowhere to be found at the moment.

"Your death will be swift...!" His tone became deathly. "Saikō no Bōfū!"

"NOW, CAVE!" The Guild Agent's voice pierced through the winds as she looked back, her eyes soon shifting back to the swordsman before she rushed him.

AFTERIMAGES!

"Armageddon Star!"

TWIRL!

STAB!

SWING!

IF twirled in the air as she approached the guard, her blade making contact with the glowing sword as Cave struck the blade with the tip of her scissors many times as the two party members began the clash.

FLASH!

CLASH...!

Their final confrontation caused the area to temporarily be covered in light before a wave of SP was sent racing across the environment from the contact between warriors.

"He's... Strong!' IF heaved. Her Qatar trembled under the opposition of the sword, the initial force already so much to contend with.

"How... Are you this... Powerful...!" Cave spoke as she continuously struck the blade as it did not budge.

"I trained all day yesterday. And I did some side quests, too." Honesty shined through.

OVERPOWER!

"Damnit!" Cursed the Guild Agent. "We won't last much longer!" She realized as they were losing ground against the ASIC guard. "He's overleveled!" She realized, which was partially the reason they struggled so much against him.

"Now you know. I won't fault you for giving up. You're fighting me after all!" He boasted his caliber with the administering of more power into his blade.

SHOVE!

PRESSURE!

"Kyaaa!" Both girls yelled as they lost even more resistance as the sword user preyed on the buckle that arrived.

"We can do this!... We just have to hold on!" IF assured. Her plan was coming to a close, they just needed to hold out for a bit longer.

"For what?!" Cave inquired.

"FOR JUSTICE!" Nisa yelled from the high heavens.

KICK!

BLEED!

"UAH!"

Her exposed foot slammed into the back of the swordsman, who did not expect her in the slightest as the Guild Agent gained a confident gaze as she stared at his reaction.

"Justice Kick!" Announced the superheroine, as the move sent shockwaves through his unprepared body, causing his wounds to reopen from the force enacted upon his body as he gave a perfect opening, his grip loosening from the fact that he was flanked by the barefooted party member.

"He's open!" IF's eyes narrowed with determination.

SHATTER!

GASH!

SLASH!

ABLAZE!

BLEED!

Cave shouted as the blonde pushed ahead, his blade being shoved back as a massive chip formed with molten metal flying from the damaged blade as she gashed him across the chest. Fire combusted onto the wound shortly after as the soldier used her scissor blade to cause a diagonal slash on the opposite side of his chest, blood escaping in the direction she went with as an X was formed on it.

JUMP!

LEAP!

SPRING!

His eyes became white with pain as the three jumped out of the immediate vicinity of the swordsman as he dropped to his knees.

ENGULF!

"I want to help Nep and the others, as much as I can." IF looked to her Qatars as she gripped them, a large tree in front of her, as she looked towards a tree.

It had been carved into, on the verge of falling over as only a fraction of its mass remained. This could be said for the many other trees that had already fallen over due to her cutting down so many with her weapons.

"If I don't put my all, then how am I going to ever be strong enough to save them!..." Her feet pushed off the ground as she rushed her target...!

- Secret Technique Finish! -

COLLAPSE...!

STAB!...

The flames spread all over his entire body, before inciting an explosion from their properties as a pillar erupted from his person, finishing him off.

He crumpled to the ground shortly after, his blade twisting in the air before stabbing the ground mere inches from his head as he lay there, unmoving as smoke poured from his defeated form.

"..."

"..."

"..."

The trio stated at his downed form, very well expecting him to rise from the ashes.

"We... We beat him!..."

REVERT!

IF spoke of their feat, her hair reverting to its natural blonde color, as she panted heavily after using the technique to defeat the unnaturally strong swordsman.

FADE...!

"It could not have been done without the synergy we showcased amid battle." Cave commented as her aura faded from her body, sweat all over her body from the exertion of energy.

"Justice will always prevail, friends! I knew we could beat him if we just worked together!" Nisa hurrahed as she beamed, her hands on her side as she looked between the two girls.

"We'll check with Uni and see if she needs any help. Once that's settled, we'll recover a bit before going into the cave." The Guild Agent gave her course of action as the others nodded.

"Agreed. We'll need to rest a bit before going into their base. Who knows what awaits in their den." An agreement was established with the redhead soldier as she didn't want to press their luck.

They were lucky enough to even triumph over the grossly overpowered doormen of all people.

"I concur. Villainy is afoot, but we can surely be lent a hand in our situation as of late." All members were with the idea as they moved towards the CPU Candidate and the Nurse-In-Training.

Chapter completed! Welcome back, everyone.

As you can see, there are some things to talk about, but first, let's break them down.

Karaoke scenes are always a good placement. Added with a meme and actual track OST from the games, I think I did a pretty good job on it. Feel free to tell me what I could be done better, though.

Then, the Accelerator fight. Look, I was bored, ok? Another crossover character not from JOJO's, and he just crossed my mind. I was also trying to give ASIC somebody who didn't quite look strong, but could more than fit the bill when it came down to it. Looking back, I think he's overqualified for it, but I'll figure something out. If you know anything about him, then you'll understand that he's an incredibly difficult person to fight, let alone win against.

Vergo has his work cut out for him, I'll give him that much.

Then the Guards vs the Makers and Uni. I figured that I wasn't showing enough love to the non-CPU characters and the divine ones that I did focus on were starting to be left out, so I shifted focus from the five-man squad and onto the others. So that's why I gave the group I sent some enemies that were WAY more powerful than they should've been, initially.

On top of giving Uni something unique to work with, IF also got her Flame Awakening form fr Sega Hard Girls in this battle. Cave became a valuable asset to the confrontation, and even Nisa came in clutch in both fights to ensure their victory. Frankly, the only person who didn't get any immediate relevance was Compa but she's going to be responsible for healing them, so the healer once again remains a valuable asset of the party.
