"Are you done, or are you gonna just stand there and delay the inevitable...!" Accelerator shouted, his tone a mixture of taunt and impatience.
"As you'll find out soon enough, the last thing you want is for me to move from my position, boy." Spat the clone, as his hair flapped in the wind.
"Stop actin' like you got anything but talk to back you up." The esper responded. "Save that energy for when you draw your last breath." He advised the taller opponent, confident in his ability.
"If only your IQ were as big as your blasted ego, maybe I'd believe you. Otherwise, you are no more dangerous than a fool with dumb luck on his side." Vanns further insulted.
"Spare me the smack talk. You don't scare me, Motormouth." Insulted the white-haired antagonist as he was unphased.
"Tempting fate, aren't we?" A brow was raised from the doppelganger's eyes as his form was enveloped in the red aura before it turned to a fluorescent gleam of many changing colors as his figure became shadowy, yet his eyes remained piercing through the burst of energy as it condensed into himself, preventing the leakage of excess mana.
"If by fate, you mean the one who decides yours, then your annoying words just cost you your life!"
PULSE!
Screamed the teenager as he flexed his wing, spreading the dark matter as it caused the surrounding rocks to be disintegrated, ripping through the skin of the Ultimate Life Form whose expression remained unphased.
His wounds heal, and he flaps his hands as they transform into his wings thereby creating a shockwave of speed before returning his hands to normal as he clasped his hands and closes the distance between them.
'He's fast!' Noted Accelerator as his eyes registered the blur, but not where Kars ACTUALLY was as light rendered the fact that he was no longer present.
SMASH!...
His fists slammed into the shield, magic and Hamon flying out of the impact point as the kinetic force was reflected unconsciously by the esper's special ability.
"There you are, bastard!" Screamed the edge lord as he sent his wing to stab the man his hands recoiled off of the invisible barrier that prevented even the slightest amount of damage to penetrate.
"CAW! CAW! CAW!"
"What the actual fuck!?"
Exploding into a murder of crows, the Ultimate Life Form evaded the attack to the shock of Accel.
FWAASH!
The group of avians then dove through magic circles, becoming engulfed in flames in a form similar to a phoenix as they scratched the surface of the shield to find any sort of discrepancies present.
VOOM!
The birds then flew in a counterclockwise direction before exploding, creating a large puff of smoke to block the vision of the lanky adversary.
"Nice try, asshole!"
CLAP!
With a mighty clap, the smoke cleared, scattering its contents as the gas quickly concentrated and transformed back into the clone, who wore a severe glare on his features.
"Magic, filtration, brute force. Any conventional means of bypassing the barrier is met with failure." What took Vergo and Nebula numerous minutes to figure out, Vanns had done it in all but thirty seconds.
"Ready to give up and die? I promise I'll make it nice and slow." Taunted the sadistic antagonist with a crazed glee at the futility of the actions of his adversary.
"Don't worry about me, child. You should be asking yourself that question." Vanns sniggered as he suddenly sprouted flesh-colored antennae from his forehead, as they glowed with light purple energy.
At first, the edge lord was confused, but then he suddenly heard a voice that sounded exactly like the creature before him.
'Just because you think you're safe in that bubble of yours, doesn't mean that I can't snap your mind like a fucking twig.' Mentally snarled the alien, to the esper's terror.
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD, FUCKFACE!" Screeching in defensive indignation, his wing flailed in fury as the psychological warfare continued.
"What are you going to do about it? I can already violate the lack of any mental defenses you have in here, so tell me." A smug tone accompanied by a smug look from Vanns only worked to piss off the teenager even more.
"GET OVER HERE!" Sending his black wing, it rushed ahead before Vanns coated his hand in something.
It made his appendage black in color, as it bore a resemblance to his wing, which made him take notice of the man's composition change.
SLAP!
And it repelled the incoming attack before the mysterious energy faded into the wayside. Its presence could still be felt on the alien's hand as he shook it with mild discomfort.
"How did you do that?! No one can just repel my wing like that! Explain!" Accelerator demanded an answer.
'Your wings are made of Dark Matter, correct?' Inquired the extraterrestrial warrior.
"And what does that have to do with it." Growled the skinny sociopath.
'Well, dipshit, I used your power against you. Not quite Dark Matter, even if it is the most abundant form of matter in the universe, but the SECOND most abundant form of matter in the universe was a fine replacement.' He boasted. 'If you paid attention in physics class, you'd know what I'd be talking about.' He eluded to his skill.
The floating esper's face hardened, all of his brainpower firing off calculations to figure out just what he used.
Then it hit him.
"There's no way you could conjure that of all matter in this universe. It's impossible!" He screeched.
"You speak as if there isn't a scientific paradox strapped onto your spine as he we fight." Retorted the Pillarman as he cast another spell.
"Slow." Vanns pointed a finger to the esper as he laughed.
"Magic doesn't work dumbass! Or was that just you pointing out your own stupidity-"
GLOW!...
"..."
"..."
"..!?"
It took several moments, but the adolescent antagonist realized his body moved at a much slower rate.
"I'm already inside of your head, so did you really think magic was something that could not affect you anymore? HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Cackling at the slowed state of the esper, he prepared to go on the offensive.
"Not only your actions, but your very brain has been slowed! Even if you somehow find a way to reverse its effects, I will have already found a way to nullify the reflective properties of your barrier by the time you return to normal!"
Vanns' body was then ripped apart into a swarm of hornets, flying to the boy by the tens of thousands.
The wing attempted to move to swat the pests from the sky only for a section of the swarm to diverge and coat themselves in dark energy.
PING!
This in turn caused the tendril to be stuck dealing with the energetic swarm as it bound the wing to its place as stung the appendage anytime it got close, keeping it at bay irrelevant of its vector qualities as the nature of the insects themselves subsided its composition.
Another faction of hornets split from the swarm before using magic spells with their antennae to communicate with the water with telepathy, taking advantage of the mental connection established by Vanns beforehand to continue psychologically tormenting the boy.
'BEING SLOW IN THE HEAD ISN'T THE MOST PLEASANT EXPERIENCE, IS IT? A STEP UP FROM COMPLETE RETARDATION, THOUGH.' Commented the swarm with many voices echoing causing a slow and pained reaction from the number of voices being simultaneously injected into his mind.
"Fuck... You...!" Cursed Accelerator as he tried to scream, utilizing the air to free himself from the tough situation he found himself in.
'THINK SCREAMING WILL LET YOU ESCAPE YOUR FATE? THINK AGAIN!'
WHOOSH!
The remaining part of the swarm flew counterclockwise to create a vortex of wind, dragging the other surrounding twisters to fuel the one they created from its superior air current.
But this twister was different, instead of taking away the air supply, it did something that was not expected.
Accelerator's eyes suddenly became blurry as the aura surrounding his body changed from its original color to another.
He could move normally again, yet his brain still lagged behind. In fact, his body moved much faster than before.
'Dumb fuck!...' He felt a pang of hope, concluding that his opponent blundered by returning his regular speed to him.
Sure, his hands and legs felt numb, but he wrote it off to recently being freed from the slowing properties of his adversary's spell.
But as he was about to scream a way out of his quagmire, something happened.
SQUELCH!
"GYAAAAAAAAAA!"
His eyes suddenly spewed blood, his vision leaving him as only the bloodstained rains of the capillaries within his eyes remained.
'DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING, DID YOU?! THE OXYGEN LEVELS INSIDE OF YOUR VORTEX DIDN'T CEASE AS THEY WOULD CONVENTIONALLY...' Bespoke the insect horde.
'INSTEAD, THE CONCENTRATION WAS SATURATED TO ONE HUNDRED PERCENT! AND USED A SPEED SPELL TO INCREASE YOUR BODY'S AGILITY AS WELL AS ITS ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS! BLINDNESS AND NUMBESS ARE ONLY THE BEGINNING OF YOUR WORRIES!'
A maniacal laugh followed the explanation and another pained scream followed as his brain couldn't calculate the vectors and his wing was occupied with the dark energy hornets.
"Bloody hell..." Vergo stared as he flew, slackjawed at the situation.
"What the fuck is going on here?!" AL was the next to answer as he, just like the brother of Vert was lost at the scene before him, legs and hands propelling him with thrust.
"Language! Ram and Rom are right here!" IF chastised the fire user as he cringed at the outburst. She floated from Vergo's aerokinesis levitating her body.
"No bad language in this party!" Compa reinforced the rule with the same mode of transportation as IF.
"MOTHERFUCKER!" Screamed Gris with a cross look, causing everyone to turn to him in surprise.
"What the hell, Mr. Gris?" Domio looked at him with confusion as he rode on MAGES.'s broomstick.
"Kars is stealing my kill!" He looked directly at the fight, discerning that it was none other than the Ultimate Life Form at work.
"I do try my best to make all of your lives difficult." Proud of his work, the alien grinned, flapping his winged arms.
"Go fuck yourself, Motormouth!" Mocking the long-haired extraterrestrial, elicited a snarl from the taller man.
"Did that warrant such a violent expletive?" Questioned the Mad Magician herself as she side-eyed the divine hitman.
"Blanc won't be happy with your potty mouth, ya dummy!" White Sister Ram pointed out.
"I'm not intimidated by a washboard with anger issues." Spat the assassin before he flew ahead.
"That's not nice!" White Sister Rom called out the mean remark of her sister.
'That guy's personality is not nice. Better to leave it alone before you get in the crossfire, Rom.' Brave Heart warned, sitting on his rock and watching the fight.
"But...!" Still offended on her sister's behalf, Ram finished her sister's sentence.
"I'm not gonna let him talk about our sister like that! Get back here, you big dummy!" The pink CPU Candidate flew ahead as well, to catch up to the manslayer.
"Ram, wait!" Purple Sister stuck her hand out before the child flew out of sight.
"We'll catch up to her, Nepgear. Let's just focus on getting to our destination." Black Sister grounded her friend's mind as she nodded in understanding.
'Go to my rock. You guys can get a closer look from here.' Directed the blue GPU.
"Technically it's MY rock since MY ant saved YOUR sorry ass." Clarified the alien.
'YOU need to shut up, Vroom Vroom.' A rebuttal caused another annoyed grumble from the Pillarman as he rolled his eyes.
"But what about Ram and Gris?" Cave, floating by the means of Vergo as well, inquired.
"I mean they are gods, but still..." Taleia trailed off, sweating in the terrifying presence of Accelerator's Dark Matter and Vanns' Dark Energy.
"They'll be fine." Waved off Gust. "I'm sure of it." She smiled, also on MAGES.'s broom.
"What makes you say that?" SMITH was unsure of her claim. He used Geppo and Soru to double jump and keep up with WESSON on his shoulder.
"I've seen what he can do." She had a confident expression on her face.
SMITH only looked amongst the party, with most of the girls meeting his eyes with unsure expressions besides Cave and Taleia, who also had some recollection of his reputation.
"Can he hit as hard as he moves fast?" Black Sister asked.
"I guess we'll find out, won't we? Just hope that he can look out for Ram in the midst of his edgy episode." Vergo answered with concern.
"Ram..." Trembled White Sister Rom, as she was concerned for her sibling's well-being.
"Don't worry, kid. I'm sure she's gonna be just fine." IF consoled the child, who looked to her hopefully.
"CPUs aren't that easy to take down!" Nepgear said with some semblance of confidence.
"Right...!" Fueled with hope, the sister continued to fly diligently.
Her sister's object of ire, however...
"Alright, where are you, you flamboyant fuckface..." Looking around, he only sensed the swarm of hornets that occupied the area as he quickly approached the heat of battle.
'Wait a sec, how the fuck are these insects flying so high? Even some butterflies can only fly at a maximum of 20,000 feet in the air. Definitely Kars' clone.' Deducing the context, he stopped just before the swarm.
Some glowing hornets turned to him as they communicated through thought.
'Gris. I see you've arrived just in time to marvel at my work.' The insects told him in unison. In comparison to what Accel experienced, they were much easier on the god's mind.
"And I'm here to stop you."
"... Excuse me?" For the first time in the proxy's existence, it was confused, genuinely so. To the point that the hornets spoke instead of mentally communicating.
"The brat's my concern. I've got a bone to pick with ASIC ever since they set me up back in Lastation." He looked at the bees with grit, a dark shadow defining his facial features.
'Too slow, Edge Heart. If only you were as sharp as your namesake, you'd be battling him instead of me.' Taunted the hornets.
'Take a look for yourself! He's nothing before my might!' Kars brandished his work as the edge lord deity peered into the swirling storm.
"UAK!- HUAK!-" His lungs were beginning to fail him, as Accelerator,s body was being oxidized at a dangerous rate. His ears were bombarded by the decibels of thousands of bees flying around him accompanied by the roaring winds, and his mind was hurled at with insults, it seemed as if it was not even necessary to breach his shield to defeat him.
But just because the plot truly had a bone to pick with him, one of the insects got through.
"?!" Gris' eye caught that moment, through the chaos as the hornets ceased their functions and simply floated, except for the control of Accelerator's wing and the telepathy faction.
The sole hornet landed on the ripped shirt of the esper as he could not even see the insect passing through his shield, blinded by the oxygen.
It crawled to his brain, and aimed its stinger at his forehead, ready to blast a hole through his skull.
"I've won this battle! SIT BACK AND WATCH THIS CHILD MEET HIS END!" Announced the bees in unison, as the teenager instinctively closed his eyes, feeling primal fear as what he experienced felt truly like his final moments, his brain processing this information at its slowest.
"Not on my watch!" Shouted the human GPU.
"Chrono Trigger: The World."
Time slowed to a halt, the hornet moments away from killing the adolescent.
Gris floated around the hornets and reached the one that breached the shield. He was apprehensive to interact with the esper, even in stopped time due to the effects of interacting with the barrier.
"His shield might still work in stopped time. Only one way to find out." He went for the insect.
...
...
...
CLUTCH!
And grabbed it without interference.
"Haha! Shap as my name, hm? We'll see how dull his face looks after I show him this." Gris laughed with ill intent as he crushed the insect with brute strength before returning to his original position.
"Time will resume."
And with that, the motion of chronological order was restored as the world resumed to its original state.
"W-What?!" Vanns feeling a portion of himself being destroyed, the alien realized the hornet was no longer there.
"Looking for this?..." Motioned the assassin as he opened his hand, revealing a crushed hornet, dismembered and mutilated.
"ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED!" Vanns roared as some of the swarms surrounded him.
"I won't repeat myself," Gris warned the insects. "Let me fight Accelerator or I show you exactly how much people hate wasps."
"But we're hornets-" The correction was interrupted
"Tomato tomato." Gris waved with a deadpan expression. "Now get lost before I exterminate you, pest." Growled the floating killer.
"...You'll have to get through me before I let you fight him, you insignificant gnat!" The swarm simultaneously shouted as they surrounded the deity.
"Let him cook."
"?!" Gris and the swarm turned to see that Kars, who was folding his arms with a smirk floated.
"When did you?..." Gris was sure he was still with the others, yet he was floating behind him the entire time.
"I used the Fly spell with Silence. Then I used Refract spell to let light pass through my physical body, rendering me invisible. You were so busy talking to my offshoot that you failed to notice my presence. Pitiful." Boasted the Ultimate Life Form.
"Save the dick measuring for when you're alone, Motormouth. Tell your knockoff to fuck off." Gris snarled at the extraterrestrial as he responded.
"Fine, the boy is yours. Return to your subject, proxy. Your work here is done." Commanded the original.
"But-"
"We are here to observe, not interfere. Once the situation can be dealt with, we can analyze and entertain ourselves. Now release the boy." Directed the floating warrior.
MORPH!
"... As you say, Prime." Vanns heeded in a disembodied voice before combining all the hornets into a singular point, becoming a singular hornet that transformed into its original state.
The feeling of looking between two identical versions of Kars was disorienting for the assassin, but he discerned them by clenching his fist, with the one in front of him twitching his eye in annoyance.
"Get lost." Gris spat at the clone.
"Tch." Flying back to Brave Heart's rock, the clone had a grimace on his face as he moved.
"Hey!" Ram shouted as Gris turned to face her.
"Oh, White Heart's hellspawn. What do I have the pleasure of meeting such an annoying little shit?" An eyebrow raised with a content smile.
"Apologize for what you said about Blanc!" She pointed her staff at him.
"I'll apologize... When your sister can wear a bra." He proposed.
"She totally does! She has this really see-through one! It's got some openings and-"
"Blanc is a deviant? Oh my." Kars covered his mouth in mock surprise.
"Deviant? What's that?" Suspicious, the CPU Candidate's eyes switched between the two, awaiting an anwser.
"She's as naughty as her books are shitty." Laughed the hitman. "Lady White Heart: A Pure Deviant! I can see the headline already." Snorted the silver-eyed man.
"That's it, I'm gonna make you pay for what you said about Blanc!" Rushing to the GPU, the CPU Candidate had enough of his words.
SMACK!
Yet her weapon was ripped out of her hands when she was within smacking distance.
"Guk!" Her neck was grabbed, and she was lifted with the deity looking up at her in the death choke.
"Watch. Your. MF. Tone."
ゴゴゴゴ !-
His voice becoming slower and angrier, he stared into her eyes with the intent he showed so many of his previous victims before their untimely demise. A thousand-yard stare combined with murderous intent had the little girl a hop, a skip, and a jump away from soiling herself.
"Get out of my sight before your tongue costs you." Warned the violent deity.
TOSS!
"Kyaa!"
Throwing the CPU Candidate away from the battle, he floated beside the Ultimate Life Form.
"Restore his vitality and leave the to me." He pointed his thumb to the blinded esper., all effects having subsided except for the inflicted blindness and ear ringing.
"AAAAAAAAAAH! I'LL KILL THAT MOTHERFUCKER! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON THAT PIECE OF SHIT! I'LL SKIN HIM ALIVE AND DROWN HIS ASS IN SALTWATER!" Struggling to see, he vented as his wing wildly lashed out in the air with his voice projecting a powerful blast of kinetic force through the wind with his volume being magnified by the vectors in tandem.
"I enjoy his outbursts, though... Do it yourself." Brushing off the request, the GPU looked at him.
"Your clone, your mess." Was the four-word response.
"Fine." Grumbled the alien as he raised his hand, as a large green magic circle was summoned before it was used to heal Accelerator.
Conventionally, magic from outside would be reflected without discrimination, yet since the mental connection was never severed nor did the esper have any blocks if it WAS severed, it took no time at all for Kars to heal the ASIC antagonist from his brain down, as his injuries faded.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-!"
His fury was halted as the pain that he suffered started to be alleviated. Minor, then major injuries started to be closed up. His eyes were restored alongside his sight and the ringing sound of tinnitus was gone.
"The pain is gone..." He spoke to himself softly before looking ahead, spotting the two flying figures.
There was the man who looked identical to the one who put him much so much pain, and then there was another.
"One more favor." Asked the assassin. "Give us a stage." He stated.
Without a word, two fingers were raised before they glowed with yellow magical energy.
RUMBLE...!
The ground where the majority of the fight was battled shook with a powerful tremble before being raised from the ground, leaving a deep hole in its wake.
FLOAT!...
The large platform then accelerated in the air before slowing down and stopping at their feet, with Gris, Kars, and Accelerator all taking note of the new floating platform that they stood upon in mere moments as to how they flew before.
"Work with this. Make sure not to get yourself killed, you divine dullard. My entertainment is at stake." He commented.
"Hey! GET BACK HERE, ASSHAT!"
ZOOM!
Accelerator screamed as he charged at the two, kicking off the ground with his wing increasing his speed.
'Break a leg or two. Greater Teleportation.'
Kars' voice was heard in Gris' head before he teleported away in an instant.
The esper ended up missing his target as he slid to a halt, ripping the ground apart in the process.
"Fucker! I missed him. Now, where is that bastard...!" Looking around, he only saw the assassin, with the Ultimate Life Form gone.
"Looking for someone?" Asking a question he already knew the answer to, a confident gaze locked eyes with an infuriated glare.
Elsewhere, Kars had teleported to the place where he felt the aerial vibrations of Ram's descent and followed her.
He tracked the sensation until he saw the dangling figure fall from the air to the hole below them, pink and glowing wings in sight, which led the alien to assume that he found his target.
Freefalling himself, he dived to where she'd be in a couple of seconds and accelerated accordingly.
WHOOSH!-
"Ack!" Blurted Ram, her person suddenly being yanked as it snapped her out of the fear-induced stupor.
SKID!...
He caught up to the child and whisked her before landing on the wall of the massive hole created by his magic prior.
"T-Thanks..." A quiet and shaken response rose from the pink-haired goddess' throat as the extraterrestrial warrior looked at her.
"Don't thank me, child." A cold look made her feel the temperature of her ice spells all over. "Your life was only spared from my interest in your heritage." He said before running up the wall.
BOOM!
"Wah!"
Leaping off the edge, the Ultimate Life Form rushed into the air with force to cause the edge of the crater with the surrounding cliffside to crumble and fall into the depths.
He focused on the floating rock where everyone was currently waiting as his velocity allowed him to close the gap rather quickly.
His speed decreased as he got closer until he ascended over the edge of the surface with White Sister Ram in a princess carry.
"Kars! Ram!" Everyone sans the other goddesses shouted in unison. Vanns just gave an affirmative nod as the original ULF mirrored the action.
"Raaaaam!" Rom flew up to check on her sister. "Are you alright, Ram?" Tearing up at her state, the younger sister quickly replied with a weak smile.
"I'm fine, Rom. That dummy just got the better of me, that's all." She shook from the memory before hopping out of the alien's arms.
"He didn't hurt you, did he?" Asked the Planeptunian CPU Candidate.
"Does putting the fear of a god and then tossing her into the abyss count?" Asked the alien.
"What?! Is he mad!" Black Sister could not believe what she heard, eyes comically saucered alongside Purple Sister.
"When you live in this world, finding someone sane is harder." Brave Heart sagely nodded.
"But who's to say the sane are truly sane?" AL pondered, philosophy on his mind.
"So if I'm crazy, that's normal. But if I'm normal, that's crazy?" Domio rose the question.
"Schrodinger's Psychiatric Evaluation." SMITH coined.
"Basically, we're all crazy in our own way." Vergo deduced, with some visible discomfort.
"Anyway, where's that other guy? I can't let him get out of my sight after what he did to Ram." IF narrowed her eyes.
"Poor Ram didn't deserve that..." Compa worriedly stated, checking on the girl's condition.
"Even if she didn't deserve it, I'm not sure what she expected given that the same ruthless warrior who was a main reason for DIO's demise would keel over to her." Taleia brought up.
"I-I didn't think he'd actually do that, though!..." Ram had some tears present in her eyes. welling up from the result of her action.
"For the record, he managed to beat me to a draw, the main reasons we defeated several large monsters, a genocidal vampire with a god complex, busted the kingpin of a major gang ring in Lowee, and drove away a couple of transdimensional gods. Not only has he kept up with me, but there may or may not be a gap between our power, although minute." Brave Heart listed the feats that the assassins showed.
"...What." IF, Black Sister and Taleia were all in a state of unemotional shock, incredulous yet unreactive from how outlandish the news was.
"Pics or cap." SMITH challenged the claims.
"Look for yourself." Vanns pointed to the battle as all gazed at the floating battleground.
At the floating stage, the two white-haired edge lords communicated the mutual language of all assholes.
"So this is the person that's been causing all this commotion. Have to say, I'm underwhelmed." Gris put his hands in his pockets.
"Another shithead lining up to die. How original." Growled the erratic esper.
With insults.
"You say that, but the only reason you don't have a hole the size of a .44 Magnum round in your fucking skull is because of me, dumbass." The assassin cursed.
"What the hell are you going on about?" Spat the adolescent sociopath.
"You might not have seen this, but a singular hornet managed to touch you. It had its stinger ready to strike, and I crushed it in my hand." Showing his hand with the deceased insect, Accelerator's eyes widened.
"Is that supposed to scare me?" His eyes returned to their normal state and he had an unimpressed expression.
"No."
FLICK!-
REFLECT!
Flicking the bee's corpse into the face of his opponent, the shield bounced it back before it flew in the opposite direction.
"That's what I'm for." Suddenly, the man spoke with a dark voice behind Accelerator, and he reeled around in surprise and swiped at him with the intent to kill.
He ducked under the swing and pulled the pin on a frag grenade before doing multiple backflip-handstands as he ended the evasive maneuver with a reverse somersault.
BANG!
KABOOM!
Taking out his gun, he shot the grenade, causing it to explode.
Yet the nature of the explosion was sent hurling toward his direction as if it had been sent to his position specifically.
"Hm!"
SONIC BOOM!...
Punching the air with such ferocity and velocity, a compressed projectile of aerial force counteracted and canceled out th explosion in a massive swirl of flame and smoke.
ZOOM!-
BANG! BANG!
A rock covered in dark energy flew through the smoke, parting it immediately as Gris took notice and attempted to shoot it. His bullets were only absorbed into the projectile before being destroyed.
BOOM!
So he took more drastic measures, the third bullet being coated in his aura as it moved faster and hit harder than the last two. Yet it still persisted for a moment before ultimately being destroyed.
Gris sidestepped the projectile before a tendril of darkness stuck itself into the ground, causing the platform to shake as its position was unknown from the hitman's perspective.
"!"
His eyes flashed a vision, showing him the tendril busting out of the ground and stabbing him through the chest in a gruesome manner.
LEAP!-
BAM!
So with this information, he jumped with the tendril following him moments later as both flew into the air.
"!"
Another vision was seen by the hired killer, as his body suddenly diagonally exploded with blood, his mouth ejecting the red substance as well, with Accelerator saying something at him, which he couldn't make out.
"I'll end this right now!"
SLASH!
Taking his hand, he swiped it in the air, creating an invisible slash with discreet vector properties to clip right through his opponent's body.
"THE WORLD!..."
DUBSTEP FART!
TIME STOP!...
Reality once again paused as the god in mortal flesh surveyed his surroundings. He saw the spike of mysterious energy beneath him and turned to his side to see what the esper sent at him.
It was not something that could be seen with the naked eye, but he needed a way to find out exactly what it was.
Yet with the time he had, it would not suffice.
So instead, he moved away from both attacks and landed on the ground. Once grounded, he sprinted to the esper and swung his elbow.
THOOM!...
...POW!
SMACK!
The impact echoed as his point made contact with the antagonistic adolescent's jaw before he slammed his foot into his stomach and kicked off of it to backflip spin kick off his chest and hit the base of his chin.
"Hah!"
HALT...!
Gris even threw his knife, which flew through the air and halted millimeters from his face.
"Toki wa ugokidasu."
TIME RESUMES!
As he landed, time resumed.
The attack missed and Accelerator's tendril was now overextended instead of chasing the assassin.
Speaking of him, he now corkscrewed into the air from the attacks and their momentum with the knife being reflected off his forehead due to the vector values placed beforehand.
Blood and saliva splattered on the ground as the dark fighter took notice.
Stopping himself mid-air, Accel looked down at his opponent, who looked up at him with a smile.
"Take your time. I'm not in a hurry to see you suffer." Checking his watch, Gris checked the time.
"Are you fucking with me?!" Feeling the sting of a punch not felt since his altercation with a certain boy, he snarled at the pain of physical contact.
"No, retard. You're doing that to yourself just fine." the assassin ribbed.
"So you think you're fucking funny, HUH?!"
TREMOR!...
The ground shook from the enhanced pressure of Accelerator's outburst.
"You know, I'm something of a comedian myself." Making fun of the floating sociopath further, he dusted off his shoulder as a gesture of disrespect.
"THEN BECOME SOMETHING OF A CORPSE!"
SMASH!
Landing on the ground, he created a line of spikes in the assassin's direction, quickly approaching his current location.
"Electromagnetic Barrier."
STATIC!
The attack collided with the dome of electricity before fragments of rock flew in every direction, being successfully deflected.
"!"
Yet another vision of foresight was received, as the manslayer saw the tendril pierce the side of his head.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
So he ducked underneath the attack and aimed his gun before firing shots.
REFLECT!
As expected, they were reflected. And picking up another observation during their path, they flew back in the opposite direction just as quickly.
"Urk!" A guttural sound escaped the hitman's lips as the GPU received three bullets in his chest.
"Got any more jokes?!" His confidence starting to return to him, Accelerator threw some challenging words at his opponent's state.
"... Yep."
"WHAT THE FUCK-"
Twisting around, the esper was flanked as he twisted around to see the formerly damaged fighter before him. A quick glance at his midsection showed not even the slightest injury.
"Got the punchline right-" Gris cocked back his fist.
Accel still had faith in his vector shield, so he only let a dark toothy grin take hold of his face in anticipation.
BFFT!-
WHAK!
"HERE!"
"BUAK!"
The GPU's fist sent his opponent to the ground as his body bent back from the power of the punch.
SWING!
A large scratch mark marred his face, the vector manipulator looked up at the deity with hatred before sending his wing down at him.
SMASH!
His dark matter wing flattened the area where the killer for hire stood, with a puff of dust rising as a result of the attack.
KA-BOOM!
A large explosion erupted within the dust, eating it up completely as a singular spark ignited the combustible solids, startling the esper.
The fire persisted as a figure was seen walking out of the flames, unscathed. Gris wore a gleeful grin, excited at the prospect of a new ASIC punching bag. "Some jokes make themselves. Just like when your mother made you." Gris called out the esper.
"You motherfucking piece of dogshit!" Enraged at the comparison, he ran at him with no hesitation with a thunderous echo.
"Should've pulled out." Sniggered the assassin before rushing ahead, the flames being pulled off of his body in a fearsome display of efficiency from utter agility.
SWIPE!
A swing from the vector user as he tried to make contact was the first move in the close confrontation.
To defend, the dark GPU went to block, but then felt the upcoming sensation of a vision. Knowing that it meant he'd either suffer greatly or lead up to his death, he changed his mind about blocking the attack.
DODGE!
As an alternative, the human deity stepped out of range before attempting to attack normally, reaching for his knife. It glowed before flying into his hands, the ethereal light fading.
SLASH!-
REFLECT!
Unfortunately, the attack was rendered useless as the shield nullified any offensive capability with a reflection leaving him open on the flipside. Accelerator took the opportunity and tried to backhand the assassin's exposed form.
BFFT!
"?!"
Yet in the perspective of Accel, his adversary instantaneously moved down and avoided the attack. The sweat of consecutive time stops was starting to show on his features yet Gris persisted.
REFLECT!
REFLECT!
REFLECT!
Quitting was not in the dictionary of the assassin, despite the repeated attempts ending in reflections. Yet the only reason he continued his assault was because of the hornet that made it through the shield.
"No matter how much you try, you'll never get through! Did anybody ever tell you the definition of insanity?" Mocking the superhuman assassin, the esper laughed in the face of his futile tries to get to him.
SHATTER!
Grabbing his knife, the vector user snapped the weapon into metallic shards.
"!"
A premonition flashed across the silver-haired god's eyes as he foresaw the shards being launched into his head, stabbing him multiple times with the final shard flying straight through his head.
REFLECT!-
GAZE!
Using a pulse of his energy, the assassin deflected the shards with his own power before immediately going for a sucker punch to compensate for his broken weapon.
'WAIT! If I hit him now, I'll leave myself open!' He realized, his hand micrometers away from his opponent's face.
STATIC!
"Godspeed!"
Utilizing his ability, his hand danced with static. The charges bounced off of the vector shield as expected of both parties as another break would be bestowed to Accelerator if all things went according to how he set up his vectorial boundaries.
Yet as he pulled back his hand, with the intention of it being distanced from the danger of his vectors, something different occurred.
REFLECT!
BOOM!
"GUAAK!"
His hand was forcibly pulled forward and lambasted the jaw of the esper that he intended to get away from, the surprising blow sending him to the floor once more as Accelerator let out a guttural hack.
"He hit him?!" Brave Heart was aghast at the action, having deemed it impossible from the start.
"I mean we saw him flinch but this..." Vergo was not too far from the headspace that the blue GPU currently occupied.
"Is that really something to marvel at?" Purple Sister genuinely inquired. "I mean, I haven't seen anything that protects him.
"His shield is invisible, and prevents all attacks including physical from affecting him," Vanns explained.
"But if that's the case, how did that guy manage to get through?" SMITH was still lost.
"I..." Vanns went silent, as he was for the first time unsure of how the shield operated as Kars stayed silent, only observing the battle.
At the forefront of the fight, Gris looked at his hand as he realized the damage he dealt to the esper was not a fluke.
"That worked...!?" Looking back to the opponent, Accelerator's face was now battered, his lip busted with his face somewhat burned, for the first time feeling the shock of an electric attack.
"..." He remained quiet, still on the ground. The disbelief as someone who wasn't that accursed black-haired brat that hit him through his vector shield was struggling to render in his supercomputer brain.
Slowly, he pushed himself up off the ground, his hands supporting him.
"You hit me. You actually hit me..." The words sounded foreign to him, yet they were true.
"Suck it up. Do you honestly go into every battle thinking you're invincible? Get fucking real." Wasting no time, the assassin broke whatever idea of inflated ego directly to the sociopath's face.
"Or are you just that stupid?" Insulted the hitman. "Honestly... What a drag." Sighing, the man awaited a response.
"No...! No, this isn't...!" Disbelief clouding his judgment, he spat out some blood. "This has to be some joke, of fluke! You're not that black-haired guy so how the hell did you hit me, huh?! HOW THE FUCK DID YOU DO IT!" Losing his grip on the situation, the esper screamed in anger. grabbing his face.
"Wait... You're serious?" An incredulous look with a wry smile painted his features as he pointed to him with a curled finger.
"After all I've been through, you think I'm fucking kidding?!" Standing up, his sole normal eye shot a seething glare at the fellow silver-haired combatant.
"Oh boy, here comes the tragic backstory." Gris rolled his eyes in annoyance, not in the mood for a sob story of any kind.
"I've been hunted by government fuckers for years just because of my power!" He revealed. "Alienated and ostracized for some bullshit I was born with!" Accel continued.
"Oh, no. I am so sorry. Please continue. I care so much." Drawled the assassin, the life leaving his eyes as he checked his watch.
"Go fuck yourself, you asshole! I'd like to see you slaughter ten thousand and act as if nothing happened, you piece of fucking shit!" Hollering as he pointed his own finger at Gris, a scratchy and furious scream erupted from the esper's lips.
"...So, you mean my job?" The accused raised a brow, looking up at him. "See, you're stupid and a walking vagina." Labeled the hitman.
"Grr! Have you ever stuck your finger into someone's wound and reversed their blood flow and made them explode like a fucking balloon! No? I didn't think so! I'm a bastard that does messed-up shit, so don't pretend like you've done anything CLOSE to my level of crazy!" Screeched the infuriated sociopath.
"... I've killed an especially heinous target by bludgeoning them with my bare fists and slowed his perception to a crawl, making them experience his death for a decade while simultaneously increasing the sensitivity of their nervous system so every time my knuckles were softened on their flesh, they felt as if someone was flattening their body every blow. All while being electrocuted with just enough amps to make their body suffer 3rd degree burns throughout the entire process."
Gris revealed the tortuous demise as Accelerator's eyes widened.
"I've ended another's life by repeatedly wounding them through the death by a thousand cuts as I made sure their body would survive all nine-hundred-and-ninety-nine of them, before removing the damage and restarting the entire process until their mind could no longer bear the perpetual torment and begged me for the numbing release of death. Only for me to use the butt of my sword to break every bone in their body before beating their skull with the flat side of my blade into a bloody pulp."
"W-What... What the fuck?!" His body language becoming less tense, he questioned the actions of his opponent.
"Gris, what the hell?!" AL vocally exclaimed as his jaw dropped.
"Woah..." Brave Heart felt uncomfortable at eh brutality his godly associate was capable of.
"How is this guy not in maximum security prison!" IF was agape at the crimes that the man had committed.
"Because the prisons can't hold someone like him." SMITH and Vergo unanimously stated. They both looked at each other with mutual unease before to the next person that spoke.
"So does that mean Mr. Gris is a criminal?" Domio looked at everyone, unaware of his occupation.
A flash of realization appeared on the face of Brave Heart, having never told the Loweean of the man's actual occupation.
"Can a criminal really become a CPU, though?" Inquired Purple Sister. "There's no way he could be that evil and still become a divine being. There must be a smidgen of goodwill beneath all that edge." She hypothesized, despite the crimes in an attempt to look at the best in people.
"He threw Ram into a pit!" The Lastation CPU brought up the example.
"Yeah, that dummy's pure evil!" The CPU Candidate of interest declared with reasonable bias.
"What a meanie!" Rom agreed as well, fully supporting her sister.
"Ram swung first. Not saying he's right, but she got off easy if we consider what he's capable of." Domio, still somewhat in favor of the assassin brought up the point.
"He saved my life not too long ago, so I don't wanna believe he's pure evil. I've felt pure evil before." Remembering the likes of Vhestora and DIO, the idea of an irredeemable monster was present in the boy's mind as the mere thought put him into a sweat.
"That doesn't excuse his past actions!" The Guild Agent turned to the child with a strict look as she stood over the boy.
"He's the reason we aren't dead!" Defended Domio as he looked up at her with the two individuals gazing into each other's eyes.
"Hey, no fighting you guys! There's only supposed to be one fight going on right now!" Compa made a really good point, getting them to look at her in agreeance.
"Compa is right. Infighting the moral repercussions of someone who's fighting an equally psychotic maniac is not a good use of our time." Gust spoke.
"As much as I hate to let him off the hook, the kid's right." Taleia agreed as she looked at the fight.
"We can discuss his crimes later, just observe if this one will save our souls," Cave noted as she, alongside everyone else observed the battle.
"What kind of demented freak are you...!" He accused the assassin. "People like you are supposed to be the scum underneath my shoe! A place where even the thought of fighting me would be nothing short of a cardinal sin!" He raved, his hand leaving his face and being dashed to the side.
WHOOSH!
It caused the wind to roar as a result, making a loud gust rush across the side of his arm and through the battlefield.
"Here comes the god complex." Grunted the GPU, a deadpan look on his face as the shadows faced away from the esper akin to a certain caped baldy.
"I have the potential to be a scientific GOD! To be so much above all you pricks that I'd be the sole governing force of all people with my power! No one is able to challenge me in power! Not that black-haired bastard and certainly not YOU!" Accelerator screeched as he continued his tangent. "Over 10,000 have died by my hands and my hands alone! Just because you killed in a more sadistic manner doesn't make up for the sheer number of lives taken!" Growling, his eyes narrowed at the nonchalant hitman.
"The more you speak, the more offended I get. What kind of killer for hire would I be if my track record was only 10,000?" A disgusted look marred the hired killer's features.
"And the whole scientific god shtick is a load of fucking horseshit. You should know who you're talking to before you run your mouth about blasphemous phrases your retarded brain can't comprehend." Returning the energy, Gris sent a similar glare.
"As if I care about your opinion. L ratio, peasant. You can never hope to achieve the godlike power I have at my disposal. I'm going to make your death slow and painful, to make an example out of you to all of your pathetic friends!"
"Friends?" His eyes shifted to the side to view the others at the party that looked at him with mixed emotions.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Laughing psychotically, the man couldn't help but cackle maniacally at the notion of friendship.
"How old are you, 5? What the fuck are friends for! Where are your friends, hm? Do you think the power of friendship is gonna help me? I already told you to get fucking real." Still giggling, the man explained himself. "Why didn't you make friends with those 10,000 you killed, you guys have a lot in common." He offered.
"What the fuck do we have in common...!" Confused, Accel's face scrunched.
"Being dead. Plus you look pale like a corpse and you already look a little bony." Gris cracked a smile.
"...FUCKING BASTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!"
RUMBLE!
"Consider that nerve touched," Gris noted as he continued speaking.
"Y'know if we take this literally, then the ground is their natural habitat. Clearly, anybody who died to you is most likely lower than dirt. Six feet lower than dirt to be precise, if you catch my drift. Or should I say bury my coffin? That is assuming you even leave a body to be buried in the first place, heheh." Despite the tremendous burst of power, the deity was unphased.
"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
"Did you ever visit one of their funerals? Do they even have funerals? Or is this the guilt inside of your heart moving you to feel sympathy for the lack of emotion shown? Does it eat away at your core when no one's around? The feeling of your sins crawling on your back?"
"I HATE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!"
Look at you with your abhorrent remorse and putrid pity for them! A real psychopath dare not even remember the name of his victims! But I bet my bottom dollar you can even recall the lifeless bodies and where they sprawled, covered in blood you spilled!"
"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
SHOCKWAVES!
Multiple bursts of energy expanded from the esper as his sole wing began to shrink. His mind was in anguish at the ribbing that Gris subjected him to hit far too close to home for comfort, on top of the fact that shutting him up wasn't an option.
The wing shrunk to only about a couple of meters long before another sprouted from the opposite side. Now wielding two dark matter wings, they grew exponentially as a result which let them grow to a size that let them cover the esper and wrap him up in a cocoon of black energy that bundled into a large conical structure with the continual shaking of the ground below the GPU's feet.
"You can't hide from the truth! You big fucking pussy! Stand up and face me like a man, you coward! Or I'll find every single body of those people you killed and make them dance for my pleasure like the clowns they were!" The manslayer warned.
...
...
...
No response.
"Or is your resolve that weak... It doesn't take a genius to tell you that you're no hero, but even a villain has conviction! Your name means 'One-Way-Street' but all you've ever done since I smacked the taste out your mouth is back into a corner! Your ass only goes in reverse!"
...
...
...
Still no response.
"..." Studying the cocoon, he wondered if he really couldn't hear him.
But then something came to mind.
'Such misfortune... From the One who Purifies Gods and Slays Demons. 上条 当麻...'
The initial thought had such little context that it almost made the GPU believe Kars or Vanns implanted the message from their telepathy. But the voice wasn't from anyone he heard before.
'Kamijou... Touma...? He Who is Above God...? Invisible Demon?' The single name meant so many things, yet Gris had no idea of the context.
Then his mind thought back to what Accelerator shouted.
"This has to be some joke, of fluke! You're not that black-haired guy so how the hell did you hit me, huh?! HOW THE FUCK DID YOU DO IT!"
"Hmmm... I have an idea." Gris found a way to push the battle forward.
"You'd never hide from Kamijou Touma. Yet you hide your ugly face from me, and have the FUCKING AUDACITY to call yourself 'He Who Wields the Power of God!'. An affront to everything I stand for! If you're half as strong as you think you are, then get out of your shitty safe space and FIGHT ME!-"
BOOM!
T-TREMBLE!
DARKEN!...
The cocoon exploded into a geyser of energy that soon concentrated into a stream of power as the ground rose in magnitude until it was steaming out of cracks that formed in the ground and caused the surrounding area to darken.
WOOSH!
Spiraling wind current roared and raged with the surge of might as the pillar of power quickly grew unstable as the ground pulsated with rings of dark energy with the rising of pebbles.
The ground was distorting, with the colors being pulled from the surface of the earth in a greyscale manner in a very deliberate and abnormal manner as the space around the flare of dark matter was darkened with the area right before the pillar being pitch black as the effect of the distortions even being present on Gris' body.
"What the hell is this!?" Mimicking a certain son of Sparda, the silver-eyed assassin braced himself as he stood his ground, feet burying themselves into the floor as the winds screamed with a mighty storm.
BLACKEN!-
Suddenly, the stream of energy collapsed on itself, but not before engulfing the entire battleground, encompassing all that laid witness to it as well as the surprised reactions of the sidelines were engulfed in pitch black, with the assassin who stood before the scientific anomaly putting a hand to block the exposure of pure darkness.
When the light finally found itself in the eyes of all who bore witness to the battle, Accelerator had certainly taken on a new look.
His hair constantly flowed with a perpetual manipulation of vectors streaming around him. Both of his eyes had dark sclera with red glowing pupils as they bore holes into the skull of Gris. His shirt was now rendered a sleeveless one with his lanky arms exposed, with his skin covered in a dark substance like his wings, going from his fingertips and stopped by his forearms in a linear pattern of varying lengths.
"Tch.."
Purple particles rose from his body as traces of the dark matter that concentrated in his arms rose from the appendages in a relatively harmless manner as he stood there snarling at the assassin with bared teeth that looked slightly more feral that their usual appearance sporting sharper canines than what had been observed before.
SPARKS!...
Black lightning with purple outlines danced and jolted around his form, springing in and out of existence for moments at a time as they illuminated the space around him.
The continual rings of purple energy persisted as he stood there, the sound of his wings resembling revving jet engines as they shot out of his back before swirling incredibly quickly to generate the constant pulsations of dark matter below his feet which flattened the ground and destroyed the fine pebbles each wave that was emitted.
"How the fuck do you know that name!" Accelerator demanded an answer.
"Not important. But you think you can actually put up a fight now that you had your little timeout session?" Another taunt was thrown into circulation. "Or are you ready to be buried next to your victims?"
"I'm going to enjoy hearing you scream in agony." The teenager could not restrain his thoughts any longer.
BFFT!
"THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, RETARD-" Gris still managed the feat of catching the esper by surprise as he instantaneously teleported in front of him centimeters away from his face.
"TEST YOUR MIGHT!"
DUBSTEP FART!
TIME STOP!
Stopping time before the esper could react, the superior edge lord grabbed his face within the confines of frozen temporal space.
SMASH!
TIME RESUMES!
"Urk!"
Accelerator felt his head buried into the ground with searing pain as he winced in pain, the assassin having hurled him into the ground for what felt like no time at all.
VECTOR!
"Argh!"
But that didn't stop him from utilizing a devastating counterattack, sticking out his hand as he shot a concentrated blast of wind augmented by his wings whilst burying himself into the ground further as his wings stuck out of his hole.
His body seeped deeper into the floating rock as he hid from plain sight, in an attempt to throw off his coordinates from the hitman's perspective.
"Sensing him in the ground should be easy, but his wings are overwhelmingly powerful..." Muttered the manslayer. 'It's almost as if they've purposefully hidden his inferior energy with their chaotic composition.' Theorized the gritty lancer as he crouched.
'But I'm not stupid enough to stay here like a sitting duck!'
JUMP!
Kicking off the ground with inhuman strength, the GPU leaped off of the platform and stuck out his hand, facing his body to the battleground as he did so
"Electro Magnetic Pulverizer!"
GLOW...!
STATIC!...
Condensing several Pulsar Grenades into a singular point, his hand glowed as the surrounding area darkened inversely before several bolts of current danced and swirled around his attacking arm.
BLAST!-
The yellow attack became a spherical mass of energy with a violent electrical streak behind and around it as it tore through the atmosphere to the ground.
CRASH!
Accelerator burst through the ground with two dark-colored orbs in each hand, pulsing with dark matter-imbued plasma as he roared.
"Burn in hell!"
WOOSH!
BA-KOOM!-
A large beam of dark matter rushed and intercepted the electronic attack, causing a clash of yellow and purple, a shockwave emitting its destructive capability.
"Waaaaah!" Everyone on Nebula's rock screamed, sans the owner and the extraterrestrial immigrants.
"Baro Barrier!"
EXPAND!...
S-SHUDDER!
Ol' Reliable came to the rescue, blocking most of the external force besides the dark matter that visibly messed with the gravitational properties of the shield through ripples appearing in a spherical manner over seemingly nothing.
The stability of attacks could not sustain themselves any longer, immediately collapsing into each other before exploding outward in a dramatic fashion.
"Too bright!..."
"MY EYES!-"
"Gah!"
Engulfing the vicinity of the observers, all they bore witness to was the incredibly bright light that even the likes of the deities and aliens had to avert their eyes.
The two closest to the erratic reaction of the blasts continued to push forward, despite their initial struggle to withstand the adverse effects of their proximity to the destructive event.
Gris did not want to let up, so instead of letting the clashing of powers overwhelm him, he managed to dive deeper into the center of the blasts.
REFLECT!
But the antagonistic adolescent had other plans, reflecting the concentration of energy in the direction of his opponent, relieving himself of having to withstand anything.
"HRGH!" Feeling the brunt of their combined might, the assassin grunted in pain before bracing himself as the reflected force of both attacks ended up on his plate.
AURA!
Activating his fighting spirit, white Tōki coursed through his body with static to boot, amplifying his physical capabilities to halt the painful process of being swallowed by the amalgamated attack.
'Shit! A vision would be really useful right about now!' He thought to himself, wondering why he hadn't seen anything about the situation before him.
!
Ask, and ye shall receive was the eureka moment for the assassin, having another future sight pop into his head as it showed him being absorbed into the attack and the combined attack being condensed into his body, expunging the dark matter.
'Absorption? But I can only safely absorb my attack back, but that brat's as well?' Contemplation quickly flashed across the hitman's face before he uttered something.
"Fuck it."
SHINE!
Sticking his hands into the blast, he sucked out his energy into his body with it sinking deeper into the attack.
After that, what was left was Accelerator's energy as it hurt to even come into contact with it.
Despite the initial pain, something was discovered as he continued to interact with it at the cost of the skin of his hands being mutilated as a consequence of his naked hands being in contact with dark matter.
'This energy is a pain in the ass, but... It feels vaguely familiar...' He pressed further into the blast.
'Could it be?'
ABSORB!-
'GYAAAAH!'
Attempting to absorb the energy source, he felt the same pain course throughout his body from the volatile nature of the dark matter, yet because of its plasmic composition, synthesis with his body as possible, thereby allowing him to intake the attack.
His hands were reduced to his bones as his skin ripped itself apart attempting to contain the power absorbed by the rest of the attack, Accelerator looked up at him, unable to see what was truly happening besides the blinding light in the sky.
"...!"
BLAST!
Sending another dark matter attack, the esper grew tired of waiting for his opponent to be swallowed by the complex sphere of scientific destruction.
"FUCK!"
It merged with the original attack, causing Gris even more pain as the volatile characteristics of the dark matter attack intensified furthermore.
His body was starting to cap off with the amount of energy being absorbed into his being, having reached its natural limitation due to the dark matter manipulating the attributes of the electric and plasmic variants of electricity absorbed.
At this point, his muscle fibers were forcibly ripped to shreds, and staggering pain radiated across his entire person. It was sink or swim at this point in the game, and Gris was not keen on drowning from someone he could fold like a chair.
So he stuck his bony hands up out and shouted.
"I WOKE UP IN A NEW BOGATI!"
And concentrated share energy into his core as he shouted a meme.
BOOOOOM!
This action triggered a reaction, making the collected energies jumpstart a tumultuous explosion that discharged sporadic static.
"!" Accelerator flinched from the sudden noise, despite being protected by his shield from the sound it made, unnaturally violent in pitch and bass.
"That sounded like a thunderclap on steroids!" Brave Heart shouted, his ears slightly ringing.
"What?!" AL asked, unable to register sound.
"We should turn and clap for the girls and boys?" Taleia questioned her hearing especially affected due to her elven physiology.
"You guys shut up so we can get our hearing back!" Uni told the three.
"I don't think biology works like that!-" Vergo corrected before looking to the battle.
"BOMBOCLAAAAAAAAT!" He screamed, and even with the impaired hearing of most of the party, they all turned to him.
"What, what?!" Ram asked with surprise.
"What is it, Mister Vergo?" Rom inquired with the same level of urgency.
"HE WOKE UP IN A NEW BOGATI!"
"WHAT!"
Nepgear turned with urgency to look at the battle, before witnessing something that was both fascinating as it was terrifying.
Gris floated, his hands shredded to the bone, yet the strands of muscle and skin started to wrap themselves around his mutilated appendages. His shirt did not survive with much fabric, leaving a vest in its wake with several tears in the torso area. His hair floated slowly, yet it stood on its ends with a wide span akin to a sunflower in the area it took up.
The ends of his hair contained traces of dark matter, fading as it ran up his hair strands and left the remainder of the scalp white in color. His irises dimmed to an onyx black with white glowing power symbols.
"That's the form that I used!" Vergo was taken aback by the appearance of the edge lord's eyes.
"Uni looked kind of like that as well...!" Nepgear also noted as said goddess peered into the face of the floating god.
"He looks like he didn't finish transforming all the way, though." Ram pointed out the obvious.
"Maybe he's tired?" From mustered a rational conclusion to her young mind.
Yeah, he's tired alright. Tired of how long this fight is." AL spoke as he looked at his nonexistent watch.
"Any longer and my willy has a bit of competition-" He cut himself off after realizing that the joke was a bit mature for the audience.
"What's a wi-"
"Look, they're talking!" SMITH with a swift save diverted the twin's curiosity back to the battle at hand.
"Your dark matter is a very troublesome medium." Gris, his voice beefier than usual, criticized the esper's ability.
"Ain't that the truth." Brave Heart muttered.
"And I'm supposed to feel sorry for you!?"
LEAP!
On the verge of laughter, Accelerator jumped to the GPU's position.
SWIRL!
The hair of the assassin suddenly grew with a white aura and wrapped around the body of the deity, forming a cocoon of protective strands.
The esper's hand made contact with the hair, yet it did not reflect.
BZZT!
Instead, the strands generated their static electricity.
REFLECT!
Yellow sparks flew from the hair, which was reflected.
Yet the cocoon itself pushed away from the shield. Unfurling, it revealed an unscathed assassin.
"Social distancing is imperative for your victory. But unfortunately for you, that's also my specialty." He told the esper.
The wings of darkness rushed on either side, threatening to gore the god that floated.
But two parts of hair stretched and clashed with the two tendrils with visible force as the blackened tips on the ends of the hair follicles made an arduous contest with the black anomalies.
"Hair. Let me help you with that ugly face of yours."
Pointing two fingers in the direction of his opponent's head, he closed an eye as he aimed with the other.
"Fat chance! IT'LL JUST REFLECT LIKE IT ALWAYS HAS!" Still denying all previous perceptions, Accelerator chose to believe his crumbling narrative.
So much so, he leaned in to taunt the GPU.
"Take your best shot! I DOUBLE-DOG DARE YOUR PUNK ASS!-"
BOOM!
A fist materialized, condensing facial reconstruction surgery in mere moments. Feeling the venomous pain of a punch to the face, recoil was the grim reality of being wrong.
"Those who cannot hair must feel." Pulling his hand again at the last moment, it breached the shield and caused bone-breaking damage.
PUSH!
Shoving the two wings aside after his opponent was hit stunned, he reached forward to grab him.
With his hair, of course.
The tips of dark matter glowed with his energy, managing to invade his vector shield with their temporal influence and wrapped around his neck, tightening in grip.
Then, he reeled his head back.
BFFT!-
BIFF!
An astonishing headbutt scratched the esper's forehead, unaware of exactly when it connected before his neck was yanked with stifling pressure.
WHAM!
BAM!
SMASH!
A hook, cross, and elbow to the face as all were pulled at the last moment before contact, as they contacted with enough force to send the ASIC agent's head rocking back and forth before the next blow came in for a chance at the bobblehead.
He then swung his neck around, carrying Accelerator for a ride in the sky as the G-force became a very annoying sensation since the antagonistic adolescent had never forcefully been carried off of his feet into the sky up until that point.
Dropping from the atmosphere, the two fell like stones to the floating landmass, and as Gris' legs hit the ground-
CRASH!...
So did Accelerator's face.
Unfurling his hair from the neck of the teenager, the assassin waited for him to arise from his hole in the ground.
"I don't have all day, kid. This is your moment and you're selling it." He told the grounded adversary.
PAUSE!
"!"
Gris suddenly felt his body become incomprehensibly rigid unable to move a muscle as a blackened hand stretched out of the dust cloud as the white-haired esper pulled himself from off the ground with a battered face and a black eye.
"Shut the fuck up! Why is everyone in this damn place so fucking LOUD!"
SMASH!...
Having enough, the esper slammed his hand into the ground, sending the GPU's lower half into the floor.
Limping to his position, the godlike esper then knelt on his knee before balling up his fist as he cocked his arm back.
"Do me a favor...!"
BURST!
!
It happened, another vision that is. After the hand of Accelerator became engulfed in dark matter energy that was large in volume to the extent that it illuminated his entire body behind him, Gris was privy to another vision.
What it showed was his head being violently exploded in a gush of blood and bone with brain matter going everywhere as his opponent laughed psychotically at his victory to the horror of the peanut gallery.
"AND DIE ALREADY!"
His fist grew in size to the hitman's perspective as the others watched in shock at what would happen if the punch connected.
"ZA WARUDO!"
DUBSTEP FART
TIME STOP!
Time bowed to the whims of the god once more and stopped at his will.
The effects of Accelerator's vectors not having any more influence on him, he dug himself out of his hole.
After that, he grabbed the esper's body and stuck him in the hole.
"Stupid fuck-"
SMACK!
A slap to the face that left a red mark on the esper's mug spread joy across the GPU's face before he stuck out his hand.
"Toki wa ugokidasu."
TIME RESUMES!
"Uhh!" The head of the adolescent twisted as he shook the pain away. He then looked down.
"How the fuck did-" His confusion was cut off.
"Defeated by a hair's breadth." Turning around, the sociopath looked up to the assassin, with his glowing hand as it was being charged with electricity. "Shocking isn't it?" He said as his hand turned dark, with the tips of dark energy from his hair running to his head, then down his neck, to his shoulder, and collecting in his palm.
This in turn recreated the constricting effect that he had experienced, emulating it in mere moments.
Accelerator remained silent but in the plane of the mind...
'FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!'
...TREMBLE!
"Oh?" The ground underneath the assassin shook vigorously, as spider cracks rushed from the position of the esper and reached the edges of the landmass.
SMASH!
SMASH!
The tendrils of mass destruction sprouted from the ground in an attempt to impale and mutilate the god that stood before the esper.
VANISH!-
Yet he evaded, causing a wing to crash into the ground harmlessly. Reappearing in another area, the other wing went in for the kill.
ZOOM!
Running to the side in a blitzing motion, his body seemed to stretch from the sheer display of velocity, causing the wing to miss completely.
As Accelerator tried to get out of the hole, Gris beelined to his location.
SLAM!
Before hopping into the air, corkscrewing 360 degrees and stomping the top of the esper's head back into the hole, much to the ASIC member's dismay.
"GODDAMNIT!"
The wings were in hot pursuit but Gris was not one to be caught lacking in this endeavor, as he stopped before running in the direction of the wings.
Transferring the dark energy collected from his hand to his feet, another surge of the alien matter went to his other foot to balance the distribution before he leaped into the air.
SLIDE!
Using his momentum, he slid on one of the tendrils like a snowboard, whilst jumping and somersaulting periodically to dodge the timed attacks of the other one which attempted to knock him off.
After a specific strike, however, Gris ran up the other tendril before sliding down the appendage.
BAM!
And dropkicked the esper for the second time, making him eat dirt in the process.
POW!
Kicking off his skull, the hired killer flipped several times before turning around and sliding to the sociopath's position and sweep-kicked him in the jaw, making his hed recoil again.
ROLL!-
SMASH!
WOOSH!...
Rolling out of the way of a tendril, Gris activated his temporal aura before moving at such a rate of speed that it caused a gust of wind to shoot out in all directions.
"Over hair!"
"No, I'm right hair!"
"Look right hair!"
"Hair I am!"
"No, I'm not, I'm hair now!"
Afterimages of the assassin appeared all around the esper, taunting him to no foreseeable end with drawls of hair puns that pissed off the ASIC agent to near insanity.
"KUKAKIKEKIKUKAKKUKAKIKAKEKUKAKIKUKIKEKAKUKAKEKIKAKUKIKEKAKIKAKIKEKAKUKIKUKAKEKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"
SMASH!
CRASH!
BOOM!
SLAM!
Finally dipping back into the abyss of psychosis, he let out an unearthly scream, his tendrils smashing in every conceivable direction to squash the GPU into a bloody mess.
BOOM!...
BOOM!...
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!-
BOOM!-
SMASH!
The structural stability of the rock was deteriorating at the seams, for the constant damage from Accelerator's tantrum blew large chunks of the rock from its core.
And eventually, with both wings smashing the ground simultaneously-
EXPLODE!
The floating isle was no more.
Gris was sent into the air, having slipped on a piece of land that was sent to the heavens from the explosion. He quickly regained his bearings and heaved his figure upright, floating in the air as he did so. As he floated in the sky, he looked to the last place the landmass floated before it was destroyed in one fell swoop.
"That would've been a hairy situation. Good thing my pronouns are I'm/him." Stroking his own ego, the assassin puffed his chest in pride.
Inversely, Accelerator cleared the cloud of dust that occupied the skies, visibly upset at his state.
Noticing his figure, Gris floated to the position of the esper, ready to insult him some more.
But something seemed off about the way he floated.
Instead of fury, the assassin depicted fatigue.
Accelerator was becoming burned out, despite his jumps in power through his various fights.
Fighting tooth and nail being the status quo was not something the esper was used to, especially not on the same day and with a rotation of different fighters.
Naturally, anyone would begin to run down, but this was especially taxing on the lanky ASIC member's body and mentality, having been pushed to his psychological and physiological limit numerous times.
So when the silver-haired man approached him, he got an answer that took him off guard.
"S-Stay the hell away from me!" Screamed the adolescent as he stuck out his hand.
Realizing what he was going to do, he stuck out his hand, his hair flaring out behind him as it infused the appendage with the same energy he was attacked with.
ANNIHILATE!
This in turn caused an explosion that had a shockwave that was powerful enough to blow every tree out of its roots, shaking the ground tremendously in the process.
But the shockwave ground to a stop, before shrinking back to its origin point.
!
A vision.
The destructive capability of the second shock wave was powerful enough to not only destroy him but Accelerator as well.
Their very atoms, electrons, quarks, and even string were erased from the face of Gamindustri.
As much as Gris hated to admit it, his opponent being killed by his attack would be as ironic and gall-busting as it would be unsatisfying.
Snapping back to reality, he waited until the blast reached a singular point before doing the deed.
"Chrono Trigger: The World!"
BFFFFFFFFT!
TIME STOPS...!
Amid temporal stasis, Gris rushed to the point of expansion.
Reaching out to it, he isolated his hands in his grasp.
He has to act fast, for time stop wouldn't last long once he started to take action.
Chrono Breaker wouldn't prevent the attack from being set off.
Slowing its spread was debatable for an actual solution since he wasn't sure of its speed, and if it was too fast, would only buy himself a few seconds.
Doing anything with his dark matter would just be pouring fuel into a fire, considering it was what got him there in the first place.
Electricity seemed useless to such a superior force.
Electromagnetism was scarcely viable and had the potential to blow up in his face, literally.
And anything conventional would be physically de-atomized on contact.
It was no mystery that most of his arsenal would prove fruitless or counterproductive to the current situation at hand.
He'd have to try something risky...
Clasping the point of impact for the explosion, he clenched it, feeling the searing hot temperature of the explosive potential of the dark matter explosion.
His hair wrapped around his hands as well, the dark matter particles rising off of the tips of the hair strands. Providing extra stability, he isolated the explosion from the outside world.
Within his hands, utter darkness that was comparable to a void was present.
Completely separated from the stream of time and the expanses of space with dark matter shutting it off from the outside world, it had nowhere to go.
In that isolated space, with the absence of the flow of time, Gris concentrated his shares on that specific point.
He wanted to truly separate the explosion from his position. Not in another area, not on the other side of Gamindustri, or even the planet, he wanted the blast gone.
Out of his sight, and out of the picture.
FLUX!
As if his share energy was listening in to his thoughts, energy fluctuations occurred within this singular point that he condensed and compressed his power into and started to react.
A large ribbon of share energy, branded in Roman numerals ranging from I to XII in numerical order in a clockwise fashion appeared on the surface.
A clock also appeared below him as his feet touched its surface.
The second hand of the clock slowly moved as his feet rested on the chronological device.
TICK...!
TICK!
TICK!-
Its speed dramatically increased as the hand soon became a blur on the surface as its hand passed through Gris' legs harmlessly.
The same process repeated itself with the minute hand.
DONG!...
But as the hour hand hit an hour, it made a ringing noise that resounded.
DONG!...
DONG!...
DONG!...
Hours passed by on the clock, with the minute hand zipping around at ludicrous speed.
A line sprouted through the hand, projecting share energy in the form of a massless rod.
A translucent version of the explosion swung from its equilibrium position, as it was attached to the dial of the clock which has risen from its original position to above the pendulum to form a frictionless pivot.
After making a single swing and returning to the central point, another version of the pendulum bob appeared going in the opposite direction.
Since Gris did not know what direction the explosive point would go, only one conclusion could be made.
Superposition had been achieved.
This was magnified by multiple versions of the pendulum explosion firming in the gap between the two, equally spaced apart as twelve in total were created.
Just as much as the hours on the clock.
'I know I didn't pay much attention in college physics class but holy shit...!' Registering the events, the GPU tried his best to process what was happening.
His brain now under the effects ts of his powers made calculations at ludicrous speeds.
'E=mc2 is the equation represented for special relativity of an object's relation to its mass and energy, the two being different versions of the same physical medium.'
'With that being said, the fact that time is stopped would reduce its speed to 0, a mathematical concept, rather than a natural number. Nothing in space moves at absolute zero, as all matter moves, at a macroscopic, cellular, molecular, atomic, subatomic, or even the fabric of space itself; strings.' The size of the various measurements of matter popped into his head.
'Since motion and position cannot be measured simultaneously in accordance to quantum physics, the rational conclusion is to isolate it from all other matter in the universe as the position is accounted for and motion's irrelevance is self-explanatory.' Peering into the science, his imagination thought of the correlation.
'Its superposition is probably the result of my closed hands, prompting it to exist in two states simultaneously as no other particle can interact with it. Both there and not there... If that can be said for the side of existence, then can the same be acted upon conversely within causality...?' He looked at his hands, which still held the dangerous explosion.
'Our timeline is one that is most likely a variant, thanks to Vergo's existence. If that holds true, then I can simply replicate the process of my future self, but to a far lesser extent than time travel through a parallel or alternative timeline. Anything that moves this through time would drain me before it could even be started up.' Realizing his upper limits, he paused.
...
...
...
"I'll have to create a pocket of space, and store this event within it, devoid of time itself." So said, so done.
The dark matter turned his hair completely black as it spread to all of the surface areas his hair took, before blackening his hands on top of that.
DISTORT!
...CROCHET!
Space began to act weirdly around the isolated area within Gris' hand. It felt, off, as the frequency of the strings suspended in motion started to vibrate at a frequency, audible as a soothing noise throughout the halted universe.
Feeling the frequency within his hands, he shook them to match as his body phased into a state of superposition as well, a couple of centimeters away as he gained a surprised look on his face.
¡ᴚOSIᗡ
Time seemed to act weirdly as well, with the area that his time stop affected, being reasonably everywhere started to distort as well from the god's hands to everywhere else, which didn't go unnoticed by the GPU alone.
"Gris! What are you doing?!" Brave Heart yelled, feeling the strange effects of space and time which put him on edge about what could happen.
Vergo, Domio AL looked with concern, not willing to waste their time stop movement as their faces boasted concern as well.
"Saving our asses! Now shut up and let me concentrate!" He yelled back as his teeth gritted through the sensation, its mass becoming heavier and heavier as more energy was concentrated into it.
WARP!
Both density and mass became ludicrous levels of weight exceeding that of anything he'd ever lifted before, veins forming on his entire body as he struggled to contain its impending mass due to the potential of its explosive radius being magnified by the concentration of energy.
To compare its weight seemed impossible, as Gris was struggling to keep it together.
"You need help?!" Brave Heart shouted.
"FUCK! YES, I NEED HELP, YOU BLUE BASTARD! GET YOUR ASS ON OVER HERE AND USE YOUR GRAVITY! IT FEELS LIKE I'M LIFTING THE MOTHERFUCKING SUN!" Gris let go of all of his pride as he held on to the thing that had everyone's life in its hands as Nebula rushed over.
VOOM!
Flying in front of the edge lord, he expanded his hands around the other GPU's and generated a sphere of gravity to keep it condensed as well as attracting whatever was in the center to stay in the center.
"This weight... This is well o-over a hundred million tons, no a billion, quadrillion- septillion- Gris, how the FUCK IS IT HEAVER THAN YOUR MOTHER!-"
"I DON'T FUCKING KNOW, but if it's that heavy, the entire inner solar system will be space dust if this thing goes off! Anti-dark matter and dark matter condensed into the origin point right before an explosion is in my hands. If time resumes, we're finished!"
"WHAT!" The conscious members of the party's jaws dropped as they expended a split second to bawl in horror.
"What are you even trying to do with this?!" The blue deity needed answers, now.
"I'm trying to move it to a separate pocket space-time, but creating a timeline out of thin air with this has my hands full! Share energy can't bridge the gap...!" He admitted.
"It's called the power of friendship for a reason, y'know." A smug look from Brave Heart.
"Fuck off." Scoffed the edge lord.
Ḍ̸̨̳̮̺̣͈̃͑ͅI̵̛͖̯͔̳̤̘͎͑̐ͅŞ̶͔̟̙̟̘͚̍̓͗̒́̏̊̌̏̚͜T̷̖͓̹̤̚̚Ọ̵̬̦̬̊R̶̯͍̮̫̮͉͒͒̈́̔̽̊̄́T̶̛͕̱̫̭̠̐̔̋̒̐͌͘͜!
"OH SHIT!" Both gods yelped simultaneously as they realized the object wasn't going to remain stable for much longer with that amount of energy concentrated in one place.
"The pendulum effect's gonna active any time now!" Looking at the faint image of twelve pendulums which had been still except for one on the very right, which was shaking vigorously as Brave Heart picked up on the symbolism.
"I only have two seconds of stop-time action left! We're going to have to do something, fast!" Gris warned.
"Just pour share energy into it!" Nebula suggested. "Its ability is to grant miracles, so this applies! If we live, that is." The blue divine being looked away with a sweatdrop.
"Better than not existing! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
GLOW!
Gris' body shined as he poured his share energy into the point of focus, as did Nebula with the two deities shining bright like heavenly glowsticks.
D̶̤̯̣̩̙̭̠͌̀Ǒ̶͎͉̼̪͍͌͜N̵̦̥͆̈́Ğ̸͚͝!̵͚͓̺̳͖̱̟͝
The light expanded as all three hands on the clock struck twelve, releasing a final dong before growing silent.
TIME RESUMES!...
"..."
Gris stayed silent as he held it.
"What is that?!" The esper pointed to the object in the GPU's hand.
"Oh, nothing. Just the most powerful weapon on the planet is all. Our explosion had to be contained in a separate timeline so we wouldn't get wiped off the face of the earth, you braindead smooth-brained hollow-skulled, negative-IQ, graduated-from-the-trash-bin-of-a-sperm-bank dumb fuck."
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!"
"I'll add blind as you are mentally unresponsive. This bad boy is the cosmic rat poison for anything that has atoms." Brandishing the object, it was a fluorescent dot of white energy suspended around a higher-dimensional glass case in the form of a stationary tesseract.
"And? I'll just reflect it. My wings are more than enough for that petty little light show." Stretching his wings, he prepared to destroy the case.
"Kars, I know he's slow in the head but come on." Brave Heart prodded, not believing the foolishness that Accelerator was spewing.
"He's not thinking straight, his neurons are fried from all the thinking he's done so far. His wings have his brain activity on life support. Ignorance is the only thing keeping him from a mental reboot." Explained Vanns.
"Y'know what, that's it. I'm not going to spoonfeed you information anymore because after this fight you'll be drinking from a straw to eat." He SAFELY stored the item in his inventory, before continuing.
"The mere fact something so dangerous was created because of our scuffle means that dragging this out is a threat to the balance of everything." His eyes darkened as he glared.
"So in that case..." He paused.
Closing his eyes, the assassin's hair flowed straight up.
Breathing in, the wind picked up. For the umpteenth time. The winds were gentle at first but then their howling grew intense as the trees swayed from left to right.
The skies became grey, cirrocumulus clouds making their comeback as the setting of the stage was accompanied by thunder rolling abound in the heavens.
"The powers proven to end the madness, Upon I take it to end the savage." Lightning flashed as he finished his sentence.
"Ooh, lightning, I'm so scared. Can we hurry this up?" Accelerator didn't feel the vibe that was being set up.
RUMBLE!...
"The rays of light a truth of meaning, to my father the blood is pleading..." Words of ignorance was what met the mocking as the ground started to shake with motivation.
SHINE!...
The body of the GPU started to glow with a white shine, as his form was able to be seen with his shares radiating off his body.
"Now you've really crossed the line!..."
THUNDER!
"Your hate for me is divine..." His muscles tensed,
The environment quieted down as he continued his lines.
"My love yearns your suffer...!" Hair glowed white with power as it shined as well.
His eyes opened.
"On your grave I etch MY PROSPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!"
TRANSFORM!
Screaming from the depths of his lungs, the ground cracked, unearthing many rocks and trees objects as he was buried by the light of the transformation pillar.
Its diameter stretched several tens of meters, and hundreds of thousands of meters into the sky, visible from the edge of the atmosphere.
"!" Accelerator was completely off-guard by the process of events, as his brain struggled to take in what was happening. Having to reflect some light from the transformation to preserve his sight, he winced in annoyance.
As it cleared up, the spiky-haired deity made a comeback as his hair was spiked up to the point where only a single bang hung over his forehead with his hair was black to the point where the light was completely absorbed into it.
A light absorbing black hood also covered his head, leaving only one darkened bang exposed to the outside light, as inside the cloak seemed as black as the emptiness of space itself.
Even a dark cloak, adorned with cybernetic glowing patterns that shined white had the same underside as it's hooded extension.
His irises also became dark, darker yet darker, going from onyx to a color that could only be described as staring into a void, making his power signal pupils evolve into a fierce piercing gaze. The same could be said for his bodysuit that clung onto his muscle mass as he stared at the white-haired edge lord as the light absorbed into the clothes was completely dissolved.
"Yeah, yeah, go Super Saiyan or whatever. It just won't take me 20 episodes to kill your ass." He further mocked.
Reaching out his hand, Edge Heart's weapon came into play. But instead of being summoned as per usual, the interference of dark matter made the equipping process more alien.
Ś̴̨͎͙̙̫̖̭̃͌̾̉͗̌̀̈́̚Ṵ̷̢̰͈̯͔̠̭̹̈̾̉̆̑͘M̸͈͕̬̩͖̯̣̪̓̍̉͋͂͊̕͠M̷̦̘̮̮̌̊͋̉͊͠O̸͉͈̤͛̅̇͜ͅN̷̡̟͇̣͓͉͓̟͚̓͐͆̍̃̊̓!̶͍̄̊̀̐̈́́̕͠
From a portal that seemed all but natural to the laws of physics, a swirl of darkness that resembled a wormhole to another realm did the god's scythe appear slowly with the handle appearing first.
Its hilt was wrapped around with roman numerals in a corkscrew manner from I to XXIV, the symbols glowing white with share energy. The edge of the pommel was also glowing white with energy as it hummed with a high-pitched screech with the air around it pulsing from its properties being infused with dark matter and share energy combined.
When the actual blade was unsheathed from the portal, it switched between glowing pitch-black and pure white, the two numerals for 100 being C branded near the center of the blade on either side, with the Ω symbol smack dab in the middle of, and α on the opposite side.
This denoted the scientific and symbolic concept of the Alpha and the Omega, akin to a certain son of Sparda.
'I have never thought to give this weapon a name. But because I should have done so in hindsight, Hindscythe will be the epithet of my tool of destruction.' He gripped its handle before the portal disappeared.
"Go ahead. Hit me with that and I'll make sure you let it rip so hard that you'll disarm yourself!-" He taunted.
SWING!
"HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" AL screamed at the top of his lungs, his eyes popping out of his skull in awe.
All the trees that stretched from below them to halfway from the horizon were rid of all of their leaves as if they had been precisely cut from the stem by the thousands as they floated into the air with the sound of grinding metal echoing in the sky.
They circled them as Accelerator looked down in shock to see that not a single tree had any sort of greenery on its branches.
"Taunt more, as a lure, but it's no use!" The leaves circled the two with immense speed, causing an arena within the sky to formulate.
"Knots tight, my excite, I prepare the noose!" Its speed sucked the oxygen out of the enclosed space, causing the esper to snarl as he was being asphyxiated for the second time today.
"BASTARD!"
His wings spreading, Accel rushed to attack the god amongst men as his voice screamed in a haggard tone.
"Say no more, it's time for you to make your move!"
F̸̻͎̟̠͔̖͈̯̙̃̿̓͛L̴̖͓̏Ą̵̱̱̪̖̬̲̥̿̈́̄́͜S̷̩̤͆̍͐̅͗̍͝H̵̗́!̵̲̞̹͉̙̂̈́̀ͅ
Edge Heart's wings appeared, the frame now black in color with the holographic wings now glowing with dark matter and shares simultaneously as a blue hue that descended into darkness at the tips was summoned with particles rising off of its surface area.
"MY BLACKENED SOUL LIT BY YOUR FUEL!"
SHOCKWAVE!
"Kyaaa!"
"Ahhhh!"
The cries of the spectators were heard as the rippling effect of Edge Heart's movement was powerful enough to disturb the shield, letting them feel the brunt of the burst of velocity.
That ripple of black energy exploded behind the deity as his body traveled at a speed so fast that his perception widened to the point that it reached the back of his head before snapping back ahead. A streak of black was left in his wake as the scythe-wielding GPU engaged in combat.
BOOM!
Grabbing the scythe, Accelerator tried to reflect it.
PUSH!-
SLASH!
"?!-"
Yet when he realized that he was coming into contact with the weapon, it clicked that he was no longer protected by his shield as the blade shoved him back against his own will, leaving him open.
A few slashes to the midsection, and a downward slash to a rising cut that staggered the esper as he gargled his own blood for the first time.
"GWACK!- UGH!"
Driving his fist into his ribcage, a few bones were broken. As he attempted to retaliate, his hand was slapped aside before the knuckles of the god softened his liver.
𝔻𝕚𝕤𝕞𝕒𝕝!
Slicing into him again and again, blood escaped the body of the esper as he felt searing hot pain as the Hindscythe ripped into his flesh without remorse.
'What's with this crazy power?!' Accel's mind was racing from instinctive fear as he was being overwhelmed by his opponent's monstrous strength that began to outstrip his own at terrifying speeds.
ℂ𝕣𝕒𝕫𝕪!
BIFF!
POW!
CRACK!
"Ryūsei Hagan Kyaku!-"
BOOM!
Receiving a side kick, that used its momentum to spin Edge Heart into a back kick that made the GPU heave his body into a lateral high kick that caused the esper's skull to fracture from impact.
After a swift roundhouse sent him flying so hard he struggled to stay conscious with the blood trailing from his nose and clenched teeth.

Thrusting his hand into the chest of the terrified teenager, he felt the current run through him as he felt pain spreading throughout his body as he screamed with distortive agony that was drowned out by the corresponding explosion.
"R-Ram, I'm scared." Rom's voice quivered as she hugged her sister, the trauma written across her face.
"Rom, we'll be fine inside here... I h-hope." Even her sister was unsure of the screams of suffering that Accelerator let loose.
They suddenly felt warm woolen arms wrap around them as Compa huddled around them.
"Don't worry, you two. We'll survive for sure!" Keeping a sense of optimism, she tried to improve the morale of the children.
"You sure he's a good guy?" Black Sister looked with scrutiny at Brave Heart.
"HA! A good guy." The dark-skinned warrior laughed. "Nice one." Chuckled AL.
"No matter the era, that man is always a hard ass." Vergo looked in genuine awe.
"At least the scythe is pointed away from us. Did you ever have to fight him, Nebula?" Domio looked on the bright side, then to his adoptive father.
"..." The god's silence spoke volumes.
"Does that even matter if we're still going to be affected by his attacks?" Nepgear, with a sensible question.
"No." Kars and Vanns with equally sensible answers.
"Thought as much." Muttered IF as she looked to the battle.
𝔸𝕡𝕠𝕔𝕒𝕝𝕪𝕡𝕥𝕚𝕔!
BLAST! BLAST! BLAST!
Dark yellow blasts of energy escaped from the top of the pole of his scythe as Edge Heart aimed them at the damaged esper, pressing him further through the battlefield.
Accelerator despite his entire body in incomprehensible pain, pulled through to regain control in the air and control what direction he was going in as he moved with the momentum.

Using his vectors, he threw dark matter blasts, devoid of any plasma to his enemies by taking matter from his wings and generating it into his hands and hauling the anomalous energy at the attacks.
BZZT!
Yet with a showcase of agility that was rendered nothing less than instantaneous in the ASIC agent's mind, he flinched before recognizing the deity in front of him.
"Flash: Fulgur!"
FLASH!
Accelerator's vision suddenly left him as the last thing he saw was the black deity pointing two fingers at him. White was the only thing that was present in his vision as it burned his eyes to contract, still far from enough in getting rid of the photons that bombarded his sight.
"Electrostatic Slashes!"
SLASH! SLICE! CUT! GUT!
Improving upon his Static Slashes with the power of dark matter, as black lightning danced around his scythe before cutting into the skin of Accelerator tens of thousands of times.
SLICE! SLASH! DICE! RIP!
Dark matter rushed over the wounds to hold them together, but the power and concentration of Edge Heart's variation tore Accelerator's to shreds, then ripped into him as his shirt fabric was drenched in his blood as it exploded all over the aggressor and the target.
"Implodes your moral and drains your pride!" The GPU sang as he sliced the chin of Accelerator as the esper guffawed in searing pain.
𝕊𝕒𝕧𝕒𝕘𝕖!
"SON OF A BITCH!" Angrily gargling, Accel stuck out his hand and aimed to send the deity flying.

"AAAARGH!"
The effects of the hits he received in stopped time piled up before a strike that resounded with a black shockwave of energy echoed with enough force to make the esper's eyes turn white in shocking pain.
SNAP!
BZZT!
"GYAH!"
Sending a bolt of current through a finger snap, it struck the teenager, making him flinch as electrocution took place.
BFFT! BFFT! BFTT! BFFT! BFFT! BFFT!
Then pausing time in increments, only resuming when contact was made to give the enemy the illusion of instantaneous movement worked wonders, as an elbow to the spinal cord was followed up with a snap kick to the side of Accelerator's neck, before a spinning back fist to the cheekbone that interrupted by an uppercut to the plexus with an axe handle that rattled the boy's skull.
In the end, a wounded up straight sent him tumbling through the air like a rag doll, blood further staining the gloves of the god as he watched him fly.
"Too late for debate or run and hide!"
ZOOM!-
STATIC!...
Flying with his wings leaving a dark trail, Edge Heart dematerialized from his velocity and flew in the opposite direction.
So fast in fact, he circled Gamindustri in a fraction of a second, returning to where Accelerator was going to be in practically no time at all, despite not using his time stop.
"!?"
"Time to take your life, it tolls the bell!"

Circling around the planet's surface multiple times in a second, hits multiplied in frequency as the esper's body dangled around the air like a frail feather, being assaulted on every angle without hesitation.
𝕊𝕚𝕔𝕜 𝕊𝕜𝕚𝕝𝕝𝕤!
"To your hell I'd like to welcome you!"
Flying straight up was the next move for the GPU as he pierced through the clouds, the sky around him becoming darker and darker until he stopped his ascent as he floated in the sweltering exosphere.
The sun's rays entered the planet through here first, so the temperature was upwards of 1200 degrees Celsius.
Not that it mattered to Gris, who looked unbothered as he twirled his scythe. Heat resistance was achieved by using his temporal aura to decrease the speed of reaction that his thermoreceptors had on top of the speed at that the radiation was absorbed by his skin.
He even used his shares for optimal breathing in the deprived oxygen levels
'Electromagnetic radiation is reflected or absorbed mainly by several gases in the planet's atmosphere. It'll take too long to keep this combo going if I charge my EXE Drive the old-fashioned way, so since I'm in the area where all that electromagnetism hits the air first...'
CHARGE!
Raising his scythe, it gained its first light as the blinker turned green.
STATIC!...
CHARGE!
The second was not long to activate, as it shined green in response to the adequate charge.
'Can't overdo the charge and kill him yet, need to finish the song. Let's go!'

Curling into a huddled position as he raised his scythe, he leaned forward before a platform of share energy that resembled a clock he kicked off of, sending him into a rolling mass of energy, an electronic meteor as his scythe rolled with the motions to create a ring of power.
Meanwhile, below the clouds, the esper's vision returned to him as he looked up at the sky, his eyes were bloodshot from the overexposure to light radiation.

His dark matter started to warp his speech, with his body being under immense pressure from his injuries and mental deterioration from the prolonged use of his wings.
Space warped around the screaming ASIC agent as he wailed in discontent with how he fared in the fight.
CRASH!
CRASH!
BOOM!
His wings sprawled and raged around him, manipulating vectors sporadically as the leaves were completely destroyed by the resulting wind created by his otherworldly appendages.
"Is he having a psychotic episode for the eleventh time now?" Taleia observed his tantrum with morbid curiosity.
"He does this whenever he's losing." Vergo, Nebula, and Vanns attested to that fact as they simultaneously clarified the woman's thoughts.
"If unresolved anger issues were a person." SMITH raised his eyebrows in interest as well.
"His vocal cords must be wearing out by now." Cave assumed, unaware of how long Accelerator had been screaming for.
"You'd think that, but-"
"Overwhelming Maelstrom!"
"?!" The peanut gallery gasped in reaction, those that could comprehend what was going on only included the deities and aliens present.

The attack graced the sky in a streak of light, making a hit on Accelerator with many slashes in an instant. The esper's body tensed up and was unable to move as he felt the rotating blade rip into his battered flesh, followed by consecutive slashes on areas the scythe had never even made contact with, successive in nature.
DUBSTEP FART!

Stopping time to extend the combo, Edge Heart elbowed the back of his scythe to continue its vertical rotation as he floated to the other side and proceeded to elbow the life out of his paused opponent with extreme speed.
After about 12 seconds, he moved back to his original position and turned to the other side, before folding his arms and looking away with his eyes closed.
"Time will begin to move."
TIME RESUMES!
THOOM!...
The adolescent felt indescribable pain with his wings suddenly disappearing from the amount of damage taken, before being swatted to the floor hard enough to cause an earthquake that lasted several seconds, alongside a crater wide enough to fit a stadium as his body was indented into the floor with several cracks around him.
𝕊𝕞𝕠𝕜𝕚𝕟' 𝕊𝕖𝕩𝕪 𝕊𝕥𝕪𝕝𝕖!
"Foolishness."
Grabbing his scythe in motion at the exact time to avoid getting his hand chopped off, the GPU's grip caused an echoing sound as he opened his eyes to face the crumpled adversary.
Accelerator breathed shallow breaths, his body aching all over as his body was decorated and branded with scars that bled onto the ground as his eye winced with a face of pain and aggression that was being overtaken by fatigue as the adrenaline started to slowly leave his system.
"How the mighty have fallen!" A dastardly smile spread on the deity's lips as he laughed at the boy's misfortune. So bad in fact, the wind joined in on the theme as a soft breeze sang as he slowly descended to where the adolescent antagonist lay.

A final gust of wind blew dust over the fallen angel-esque esper's body, as his face told a tale of exhaustion and slowly dimming will, the song unconsciously soothing him.
"..."
BFFT!
Summoning a monobloc white plastic chair, he sat upon its glossy seat, facing away from the esper.
"What... What are you doing?" It took all of Accelerator's power to ask the question.
"I'm gaining motivation." The GPU answered simply.
"How are you motivated while sitting on your ass?" Accelerator asked.
"My goals are beyond your understanding." He responded to the ASIC member's question.
"Clearly you have no goals, then."
"I recall telling a certain rat that my dreams have disappeared. Perhaps a colleague?" Edge Heart asked the ASIC agent about Warechu.
"Do I look like pest control to you?" Accelerator sarcastically asked.
"Well, you classify as the pest in this case." Harrumphed the GPU.
"Yet you're the vermin in my eyes." The troubled teen retorted.
"At least I'm not the one playing possum and nothing more than deadweight."
"FUCK YOU!" Snarled the adolescent. "Why are you so much stronger than me!" He whined.
"I'm built better." Edge Heart stated it like it was a fact.
"LIAR!" Resembling a certain air walker, Accel cried out in denial.
"I am the Right Hand of the Almighty!" He declared, causing the GPU to look with his hand with confusion.
"You don't look like my hand." Edge Heart commented.
"And you're not the god I'm talking about!"
"FOOLISHNESS!" Yelled the GPU, thunder booming with some lightning crashing as a result of his echoing temper.
The ground even shuddered under such pressure.
"You are not worthy as my opponent. I should have left you to die with Kars." Admitted the deity as he scowled.
"Schum. How dare you claim I am not in a position far above yours are your petty beliefs." He stood up from his chair and moved it aside to look at him.
"I'm not gonna sugarcoat it." His face darkened under his hood, only glowing eyes and his mouth and chin remained in view.
VINE BOOM!
"They named you Accelerator because you can't stop taking Ls."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" Brave Heart and AL simultaneously roared in shock.
"Your reflection works so well, you reflect all the bitches."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" Vergo joined in on the sound effect crew.
"You probably called yourself the 'Right Hand of God', but I'm left-handed."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" Domio blurted alongside the others.
"If you had as much brain matter as you did dark matter, you'd be unstoppable."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" Vanns shouted before laughing at the cruel roast.
"Sometimes I wonder how many times your mother opted for abortion."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" Taleia was slightly horrified as she screamed in response.
"Then she realized your dad left for milk 9 months ago."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" Gust's jaw literally touched the floor.
"You're the type of person who parks in handicapped spaces with all that brain damage."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" Nisa, for the first time ever, swore for that line.
"You're so edgy when razors see you they cut their own wrists."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" SMITH shrieked in awe at the sharp-tongued insult.
"You are a worthless, bitch ass anorexic fuck. Your life literally is as valuable as a summer ant. I am just going to stomp you and you are going to keep coming back, I will seal up all my cracks, you are going keep coming back. Why? Cause you're smelling the syrup. You worthless bitch ass pussy."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" Cave, somehow mustering enough of her voice to say that, joined the fray.
"You are going to stay on thine phallus until thy life is extinguished. You serve no purpose in life. Your purpose in life is to be in my presence on my peen daily. Your purpose in life is to be in that peanut gallery, performing fellatio on the dick daily. No homo."
VINE BOOM!
"DAAAMN!" Kars was reactive, as he never heard vulgar language used to insult someone before.
"Your life is nothing, you serve zero purpose."
Edge Heart's eyes started to glow. The sky's light began to fade into storm clouds. The wind became deathly still, to the point that the sound of a pin drop could be heard.
Amid the silence, the legendary phrase was now.
"𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝗡𝗢𝗪."
VINE BOOM!
The GPU's eyes flashed with lightning, as the heavens delivered bolts like droplets of rain, thunder echoing with the sound of obnoxious bass-boosted booms repeated around the area.
Speechless, the grounded ASIC agent was at a loss for words. Never had he felt so demeaned, humiliated, and verbally abused before.
It made him feel...
Resentment.
Furious resentment, filled with hatred and gall, words forming in his head he couldn't wait to say, feeling emotions that were buried deep down in apathy and insanity.
For the first time in his life, he felt motivated.
Motivated to murder the bastard in front of him.
A true sense of calling, like it was branded into his very soul, as it screamed for the head of this egotistical piece of shit, loading his superiority over him like the piece of shit he was.
"And give somebody else a piece of that oxygen, and ozone layer, that is covered up so that we can breathe inside this blue trap bubble." Explained the god.
"Because what are you here for? To worship me? Kill yourself. I mean that, with a 100%, with a 1000%. I have never seen somebody so worthless in my life. I am dead-ass. I've not seen such a more worthless person, in my life."
Pouring kerosene into a raging inferno was not enough for the GPU, having to complete the process of shredding any more tolerance that was left.
"The fact that you even resemble a younger version of me makes me want to projectile vomit into the whore who was stupid enough to get impregnated by your non-existent father."
"!"
In a moment of indignation turned realization, the esper concluded that he and his opponent were alike.
It might have taken getting beaten and flogged like an animal, but he found the similarities.
Going deeper than the similar hair color, their attitudes aligned too much for the ASIC agent to be comfortable.
They believed themselves to be above everyone else.
Their power was uncontested before Accelerator crossed paths with him.
Expletives and other foul language left their mouth at every twist and turn.
They were killers, unbothered by the lives that were claimed by their hands.
Harsh and cold to others, including each other.
But what divided them...
Was one standing tall as the other laid flat.
His superiority became inferiority in the face of a stronger opponent.
And it was a reality the esper refused to accept.
Not as an agent of ASIC.
Not as someone with a god complex.
And definitely not as the Rank 1 Esper.
"DAGA KOTOWARU!" (But I refuse!)
Accelerator screamed as the pain in his voice was rivaled only by his motivation.
"ANATA NO YŌNA HITO NI MAKERU KOTO!" (To lose to someone like you!)
The GPU looked down at him as he continued to bark like a beaten dog.
"WATASHI WA AKIRAMENAI!" (I won't give up!)
"Made..." (Not until...)
"ANATA GA WATASHI NO ASHI DE SHINDE IRU MADE...!" (Not until you lay dead at my feet...!)
"SOSHITE, WATASHI GA KATSU MADEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"(And not until I WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!)
A scream echoed throughout the dead forest, as Accelerator let out his emotions as he pushed himself up, staggering and shaking as the sounds of his bones cracking through their fractures and muscles tearing through their overexertion were eerily audible.
Even coughing the internal bleeding as he rose to the occasion, it could not be said that he was ready for the battle before him.
"Korehanandesuka? Tsuini ikutsu ka no dōki o mitsukemashita ka?" (What's this? Finally found some motivation?)
Edge Heart asked in the same tongue, throwing the ASIC agent off for a second.
"Sukuna sugiru, oso sugiru." (Too little, too late.)
"Anata wa karōjite tatsu koto ga dekimasu, tatakai wa iu made mo arimasen. Haiboku wa sore dakedesu." (You can barely stand, let alone fight. Defeat is all that lies ahead.)
The deity did not believe that the ASIC agent had any chance.
"SOREKARA WATASHI WA ICHIDO NO UGOKI DE ANATA O OSHITSUBUSHIMASU!" (Then I'll defeat you in one move!)
Levitating, the body of the bastard rose. Lighting raged around him as thunder boomed in the background, adding to the cinematic effect.
"UWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGHHH SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEX-" (Possessed by Takeshi)
BONK!
"No horny." Finger wagged Nisa, as she unleashed the stick of non-horny to smite the immoral temptation from Nebula's brain to the humor of AL and Kars.
"Hey everyone, what's se-" Eyes widened as Rom was about to ask the incriminating question.
WOOSH!
All the clouds were cleared. Not just over the area, but over all of Leanbox, and even reaching the mainland as whatever rain showers or snowstorms had been cleared with one fell swoop of pressure as the esper put his hands in the air.
Yet instead of a clear blue sky, the atmospheric color above had dimmed to near black with only near the horizon lightening up to a pale greyish hue.
CHARGE!
Dark energy swirled to the epicenter above his hands, forming a small spherical mass of power that grew at a sizeable rate, exponentially growing as the world below him started to react accordingly.
TREMBLE!...
Rocks cracked and levitated from the pressure the move's wind up generated as branches from trees snapped off to join their geographic counterparts. The ground shook asunder with the magnitude that only seemed to rise as time went on.
The sphere easily grew from tens to hundreds to thousands of meters in diameter as its monstrous size kept evolving as Accelerator took the entirety of his wings to facilitate such immense power condensed into a single point. IT soon grew large enough to rival an incredibly small moon.
It made a very intimidating noise, a low roar that seemed to resemble a black hole almost.
It was fitting that his final attack was what made his opponent draw his final breath, despite all odds.
"Watashitachi no michi ga kōsa shita hi ni nigemasu!" (Rue the day our paths crossed!)
"Soshite..." (And..!)
"JIGOKU DE MOERU YŌ NI!" (Burn in hell!)
A dark shockwave signified the completion of the process, Accelerator moments away from plunging the god into eternal darkness.
"...You cannot kill me." Speaking normally, the deity sang one more tune.
"I am Omega." Twirling Hindscythe repeatedly, he generated a ring of electricity that spazzed and burst in all directions from the weapon's edges.
"You cannot kill me..!" He heard multiple lights blinking, the charging process becoming sped up from the generation of supplying voltage.
"I AM SUBHUMAN!" His scream traveled throughout the battlefield, a spike of pressure causing the trees to be swayed, on the verge of being uprooted throughout the forest.
"YOU CANNOT KILL ME!"/"I CANNOT NOT ERUPT!" As Edge Heart roared, it seemed as if Gris' voice appeared to provide adlibs as his tone screamed to compliment his divine counterpart's singing.
"I AM OMEGA!"/"I MUST CONTROL!" Electricity raced through the dead forest, bolts zig-zagging around the free areas that weren't obstructed by any physical object. Yet as they did so, not a single streak made contact with any object.
"YOU CANNOT KILL ME!"/"I CANNOT ERUPT!" Rings of dust appeared around his feet and corkscrewed around the crater before spiking on the edge in a dramatic show of power and ability.
"I MUST EXPLODE!" Both voices unified as his aura burst into life with a large area, big enough to encompass the crater as he raised the rotating scythe into the air.
It flew from his hands before being struck by lightning, falling to the ground as Edge Heart caught the blade.
All three lights were formed, but what was more interesting was that they had been turned red. The deity could feel his weapon's contained energy, the hairs on his hand raising from touch alone.
"YOU CANNOT KILL ME!" His black irises glowed yellow through the hood as he looked up, static dancing from his eyes.
"I AM OMEGA!" Raising his weapon of destruction, he took a step back for the most range that his scythe could achieve.
"YOU CANNOT KILL ME!" Applying force to his foot, the crater deepened as he heaved his body forward with that rush of speed.
"I AM SUBHUMAN!" Static burst from his body as he warped the space around him, bringing down his scythe.
"HOROBIRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" (PERISH!)

Throwing the ball of pure destructive science energy, the air around the attack swirled as it formed a conical pattern as it descended from the heavens, the magnum opus of a fallen angel.
"Devastating Maelstrom!"

A black slice of energy with a glowing yellow outline cut through the sky as it bull-rushed the sphere instantly passing through all that stood in its path.
So much so in fact, that Accelerator felt odd after he heard the attack was launched.
'Kibun ga yokunai...-' (I don't feel so good...-)
The ground parted. Magma exploded from the cracks with the attack diving deep into the mantle of the planet.
Then his attack. The sphere had been halved, then dissolved by a stronger dark force without any form of resistance.
Then him.
First, his clothes shredded, then his body felt a pain that his brain could not even register, only feeling the pints of blood explode from his body, which would've made him question how much he even had inside his circulatory system at that point, had shock not gotten to his brain first.
Then all became black.
In space, the maelstrom had detonated, causing darkness to cover the entirety of Gamindustri for a couple of seconds before brightening to its natural state, accompanied by fierce winds.
Despite all that Accelerator put on the line.
In spite of how much he struggled and rose in the challenge of uneven odds.
And even when he persisted for so long.
Accelerator had lost.
DRAMATIC FINISH!
'Kuso...' (Damn you...)
His shield had failed him so many times in a single battle, he almost believed it was not there.
Edge Heart stuck Hindscythe into the ground with its bottom edge as he walked to where the ASIC agent would land.
Catching him by the neck before he hit the ground, the boy hacked as the assassin-turned-deity inspected his condition.
From an external perspective, he was on death's door. A cut so deep that it was a miracle that he hadn't been bifurcated from the attack's lethality, having his bone marrow, lungs, and even his heart exposed with part of his spine.
Hollow red irises looked down to the ground, with his sclera returning from black to white.
Blood dripped to the ground, as Edge Heart looked at his defeated foe.
"Gekitekina Shiage." (Dramatic Finish.)
Edge Heart was on the verge of crushing the teenager's neck, ending his life.
Yet he felt a pang of sympathy for the mangled foe. Something his human form would never consider, let alone let it halt his fatality streak.
To the GPU, it felt as if he'd kill his child self if he went through with executing the ASIC member, edgy sociopathy and all.
So much potential gone to waste, as much as the hitman riled him up, letting him live did have its benefits. He had gotten an entirely new arsenal from a single interaction.
Then, the god blinked and saw a younger version of himself in the esper's place with the same dead look in his silver eyes as he hung with a different injury that bled profusely.
Shaking his head, he decided to act. Feeling the life force leave the brat's body with his KI-sensing capabilities, he had to act fast.
GLOW!
Accelerator prepared for the cold grip of death itself before he suddenly felt something hold him back.
His eyes regained the glow of life as he felt his body heal itself. Yet he didn't understand how it was happening.
Blood, bone, and muscle were reattached to his massacred body before it was healed.
"Shikashi, kare no puraido wa kare no hatten no jama ni narimasu." (But his pride will get in the way of his development.)
Accelerator listened to the god's words, as he grew suspicious, his body being fixed from its fatal injuries.
"Shitagatte, batsu ga okonawa remasu. Kore wa kami no kōi ni narimasu." (Punishment is therefore carried out. Call it an Act of God.)
The ASIC agent struggled but he had no strength for his newfound vitality, as Edge Heart intentionally let him retain his depleted energy levels in favor of just vitality being restored.
Accel tried to use his vectors, but his neck was gripped so tightly, that he straightened out in a concerning manner, preventing any action from being taken.
"Now, now. No struggling. It'll only hurt more."
SMASH!
Slamming the boy into the ground, he put his foot on his chest by using the pull-back gimmick to bypass the shield and keep his foot's weight on his body to pin him down.
REVERT!
Going back to his human form, he retained the dark matter manipulation as he took out his gun. Wasting energy by staying in his god form was counterproductive, and Accelerator didn't warrant the effort, but he was not so devoid of brainpower to head right down to his normal state.
"I'll only say this once. Your life is in my hands. Killing you now would be a waste of potential, so I'll kill you off later." He gripped his gun as he aimed at the forehead of the esper.
"You can put down the gun. Not like it's gonna get through the shield." The ASIC member responded.
"That's what you think. Yet life is full of surprises." Gris countered. "You not being dead yet is one of them." He taunted.
"But I digress. Know this. If we cross paths, and you're still as pathetic as you are now..." His voice grew silent.
"I'll ASIC you in hell."
BANG!
BFFT!
"UAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Screaming in agony, a bullet wound appeared in the esper's forehead as the assassin let go of his opponent to watch the teenager writhe in pain.
Desperation set in as he tried to reflect the bullet in a fit of anxiety and pain. Blood seeped through his fingers as he held the injury that was accompanied by fierce pain.
"Let that be a reminder to use your head the next time we cross paths," Approaching the teenager, he tried to crawl away while facing him.
"FUCK YOU! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" Screeched the sociopath in furious torment.
"Gave you character development. Now fuck-"
KICK!
"OFF!"
SHOCKWAVE!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"
RUMBLE!...
Digging his foot into the ground, the deity punted the esper with such force, that he was rocketed into the atmosphere as a massive shockwave uprooted the remaining trees, finally turning the ground into a wasteland.
"Phew..." His dark eyes returned to his silver hue, as his hair drooped back down and returned to its pale palette.
He looked up at the rock as it descended, landing with a loud thud. The shields were dissipated as they came to his location in a brief moment.
"Did you kill him?" Nebula asked, with a bump on his head from the bonk.
"No."
"What." Vergo, AL, Kars, Vanns, and Taleia all spat simultaneously.
"So what did we do all that work for!" The CPU Candidate of Leanbox barked.
"You all did work. I breezed through it. Train some more, Virgin." Labeling the blonde time traveler, the taller CPU grew red as he became defensive.
"OI! NO, DON'T CALL ME THAT!" Virgin rose in volume.
"YOU NEITHER!" The time traveler pointed to the sky.
"Pfft." Vanns and SMITH held in their laughs as Vergo did not want anyone to feel comfortable calling him that name.
"As a matter of fact, until he gets laid, we will all refer to him as VIRGIN!"
"GRIS I WILL MURDER YOU IN YOUR SLEEP!-"
REVERT!
"Aye!" Nebula fist pumped, oblivious to the searing glare he received.
"Straight up!-" AL's face became pale, feeling the killing intent of the blonde.
"Wait, isn't Virgo synonymous with virgin, anyway?-" The Loweean child pondered.
"Shush, child." Vergo covered Domio's mouth.
"Vergo, relax. We won't call you that so stop overreacting." IF worked to defuse the situation.
"Thanks, IF..." Sighed the blonde deity.
REVERT!
"More importantly, where's the Mascot? I hope it didn't get destroyed during all that fighting." Nepger asked as she reverted to her human form.
The other CPU Candidates followed Nepgear's lead as they returned to their human forms.
"Is there any ASIC personnel we can ask?" Uni looked back to IF, who pointed to the two they had in custody.
"I can tell you." SMITH opted.
"Really?" Rom brightened up.
"Spill the beans, then!" Ram poked.
"I'd tell you if the cave was still intact. I'd be surprised if the Mascot wasn't in a million pieces" He sweatdropped.
"Oh..." Nisa spoke in realization after she turned to see the damage of their corresponding fights.
"I mean we can fix it again, but we'd have to find it," Compa added her astute observation.
"I remember seeing it in the center of the cave I found Underling and her sister in," Vergo opted. "There's a good place to start." He recommended.
"Good job, Virgin." Gris gave a mock thumbs up.
"I SWEAR TO CELESTIA I AM GOING TO-"
"Relax." Cave put her hand on the blonde's, shoulder as he exhaled through his nose loudly.
"Thanks, Cave." He nodded at the redhead, who nodded back.
"Enough consoling, let's get moving!" Shouted Nebula as he skipped ahead.
"You don't even know where you're going!" Uni shouted.
"He'll figure it out." AL waved.
"There's nothing here, and the other big crater is the cave. Simple." In a streak of brilliance, the pseudo-protagonist explained his notion of thinking.
"Wait... That makes sense." Gust took in his words.
"He's becoming smarter...!" Kars' tone had a hint of incredulousness.
"No, he's using 11% percent of his brain!" Gasped the hitman as he pointed.
"Screw you guys, I'm going to advance the plot alone." Nebula waved off the others as they laughed, before following along.
"Here we are," Nepgear stated as they found themselves within the remains of the cave. Scorched from the aftermath of the battle with Vergo and Accelerator.
"We were met with a lot of crispy goons. What happened in here?" Questioned the Guild Agent.
"Mortal combat." Was the blonde's simple answer.
"More like CO2MBAT." AL sniffed. "Smells like what happens when you light a cig at a gas station." He compared.
"Despite the conditions, the Mascot you speak of should be here somewhere around here I presume?" MAGES. inquired to the party.
"Yep. It had some seals on it to hinder its presence, so finding it should be rather difficult." The time traveler explained, looking around as the group progressed.
"You mean that green glowing ball, surrounded by broken devices that look suspiciously like the seals you're talking about?" Domio pointed.
"Ah-" The group unanimously blurted as they saw the green orb floating.
"The Mascot!" 5pb. pointed.
"Yes, it seems I have been found amongst the piles of debris." The green ball of energy responded.
"Well, that was easy." SMITH raised his brows in reflection.
"Considering what we had to go through to get here, it better had been easy." Taleia huffed as she looked at the state of the party.
"I apologize for getting captured by ASIC's forces. I was careless." The Mascot of Leanbox apologized to the group of characters, and prisoners.
"Don't sweat it. It's like our job to help you out in order to save the world." Brushed off the blue-haired adventurer.
"Now that both Chika and the Mascot are secured, I hope this portends a stable future for the land of Leanbox," Cave spoke to herself as she looked at the objective.
"Well, let's head back. We'll put those two," The adventurer pointed to the ASIC agents, "Into custody, and then we'll head back to Chika for our next move." He finished.
"Seems legit." Nodded the fire user.
"Let's go, everyone," IF told the others.
"Yep yep!" Compa jubilantly agreed.
"Can I sleep there, though? I've been awake for 27 hours." Domio mentioned, causing his father figure to turn to him.
"I'll see what I can do." He ruffled his adopted son's hair.
"Sleep is for the weak, Domio! Embrace insomnia!" Gris yelled bad advice, with comical bags over his eyes.
"I'm gonna have to go with Domio on this one Gris, proper rest is for the best." AL chimed in.
"Wait, you guys haven't slept since yesterday?" The idol questioned, mildly concerned.
"Nope." Vergo looked at the singer, his eyes tired from the constant fighting.
"Yeeeeah, lessgo." Prompted the meme lord as the group left the cave with the mascot.
Back in Leanbox's Basillicom...
"Oh, you're back." Chika greeted the smaller party. She hid a Vert figurine as she turned to the party.
After they returned to the nation, SMITH and WESSON had been detained by some of Cave's associates for questioning, as AL and Domio hit the hay in one of the guest rooms within the Bascilicom's private quarters, which was what would've been Vergo's room in the future with a key card the time traveler possessed in his inventory. Vanns returned to his ant form and crawled up Nebula's pant leg, unseen by the deity himself as he resumed his former mission of espionage.
Only Nebula, Gris, Kars, and Vergo remained with the party of ten who stood before the Oracle.
"'Ello, Chick-Fil-A." Vergo greeted, which made a tick mark form on her otherwise pleasant face.
"I see the prodigal son has returned." She twitched.
"Prodigal son?" Nepgear asked curiously.
"Oh, nothing. Just a running joke between the two of us." She pushed the girl's curiosity aside.
"Greetings, Oracle. I have safely returned from my capture." It told the important political figurehead.
"I see. Thank you for bringing the Oracle back to its rightful place." The green-haired Oracle extended her thanks to the party.
"Yes, but if you don't mind, I'd really appreciate it if we could borrow it." The CPU Candidate of Planeptune proposed the request to the lady.
"Sure, but on one condition." Chika hastily agreed.
"Bring back Vert to me as soon as possible! It's been ages since I've been able to be blessed by her divine presence!" Stated the Oracle as she looked at the group.
"Wait... Really?" Gust was stunned at how easy it was to gain the Mascot. "You do realize if the Mascot's gone, Leanbox will have nothing to defend it, right?" She reminded the zealous follower of Lady Green Heart.
"It's temporary, so no need to worry so much. I'll be able to hold the fort just fine until my darling Vert is saved." Puffing with confidence, Chika was adamant about her ability.
"And since the Oracle agrees, there's nothing that's stopping me from joining you. It was my will from the beginning, after all." The Leanboxian Mascot voiced her compliance.
"I cannot let those who can restrain the power of the Mascots run free." It spoke its final words before being put into the possession of Nepgear.
"Well, looks like we've finally got all four of them." Nebula nodded.
"Glad that's over with, but what now?" Vergo asked, to which the green-haired woman answered.
"Since I had been captured, ASIC worship increased exponentially. To fix this, we have to take major steps." She told the group.
"Purge the heretics?" Gris suggested.
He was met with horrified looks.
"A little religious crusading never hurt anyone." He rolled his eyes in reaction.
"Hurt isn't the right word there, Gris." Sweatdropped Nebula. "Genocide is more apt." He corrected his fellow deity.
"Why is violence your prerogative? Whatever happened to peaceful means?" Nepgear asked the edge lord.
"We fight for Gamindustri's survival, not to aid its downfall." Nisa clarified.
"ASIC's downfall is only for my own selfish desires. Not some naive sense of altruism or necessary goodwill imposed upon me due to circumstances. After the world is saved, I could care less about most of your fates." The assassin looked around as he said that, some looked away uncomfortably as others glared at him.
"The sooner you all realize that fact, the quicker we can solve this problem. Leanbox's PR is inconsequential to my goals, so do as you wish." He waved, before taking out his phone, occupying himself with Neptube.
"What a jerk." Ram scoffed.
"So mean..." Rom sighed.
"He must be fun at parties." Uni poked sarcastically at the male, who flipped her off while her back was turned.
"I saw that!" She snapped before he put his hand in his pocket as if the gesture was never shown.
"Anyway... How about a party?" Nepgear brainstormed. "That could work to get us some shares." She told the others.
"Actually, it's a good thing you mention that," Chika told the CPU Candidate.
"Why, Miss Chika?" Compa asked the Oracle.
"Because I had the same idea in mind! A concert larger than we've ever seen, and 5bp. spearheading it!" She announced, which made the idol singer's eyes light up.
"Really?! Awesome!" Coming out of her hiding place behind MAGES. she celebrated the opportunity.
"We'll hold the concert tonight, so get ready by then!" The Oracle of Leanbox told the group as she dug into her inventory.
Taking out some passes, she handed them to each party member as they read the card.
"BACKSTAGE PASS"
"Don't forget to bring it to get past the door." She told the party.
"Free clearance! Alright!" Happy for the little things in life, the adventurer fist-pumped.
"Where is this concert, anyway?" Vergo inquired.
"What time are we supposed to go to the concert?" Gris asked.
"Will there be food and drinks?" Nisa popped another question.
"And where the hoes at?" Nebula asked, with a goofy smile.
Everyone looked at his question with a deadpan expression.
"Don't be mad y'all don't count!" An equally scrutinizing face was returned to them. "We need the groupies, come on! This is a concert. ain't it?" He advocated.
"Perv." Uni huffed.
"Yet I recall you oogling my back muscles when I showed you. Funny" Raising a brow, a suggestive look sent the CPU Candidate of Lastation's way with half-lidded eyes made her face go somewhat red, avoiding his eyes.
"Tch. Whatever. It's not like I liked it or anything." Some pink dusted on her cheeks, with Nepgear having a clueless expression as Nebula maintained a snide grin at the sight.
"How lecherous." Scoffed Chika.
"I don't want to hear anything from you, Miss Green Heart Body Pillow Enthusiast. It probably smells weird, too." Accused Vergo, to which Chika lit up like a Nepmas tree.
"I-I-I have no idea what you're talking about," Putting on a haughty front through embarrassed stammers, the Oracle refused to validate the claims.
"Adults are weird, sis." Ram observed the conversation, as she looked at her sister.
"I hope we don't grow up to be like that, Ram." Rom agreed with her younger sister, as the two watched the others.
"Ahem. Now go do whatever you guys do for free time." Shooed the Oracle, as she took out her phone. "I'll call you when everything is ready." She told them as the group headed out.
"Okay, let's go everyone," IF told the party, as they left the scene.
A/N:
Remember when I said I'd be frequent with my updates? Yeah, that was a couple of months ago.
And with my return, I wrapped up the Mascot collection, ended the Accelerator bout, and prepare for a chapter without any inherent violence! Huzzah! Character interaction has become a priority after half of a hundred chapters! Woohoo!
Comments are always appreciated, so don't be shy to type something. I read all my comments and even make an effort to respond to the following chapter... If I got any.
Matter of fact, I'll do it right now:
Feld - Thanks, bro. I do try to make it entertaining for the readers and try not to repeat any fights other than the base concepts of what a fight is, to keep it interesting for you and the other readers.
See? Type anything and I'll respond to it.
So with that being said, favorite and follow the story, and leave a comment to your heart's content.
Arrivederci.
