Sting smirked as he stepped forward, only to suddenly find Natsu suddenly in his face as Gajeel was in Rouge's. Natsu slammed his elbow into the blonde's face as Gajeel punched his partner. The entire crowd was in shock as the Twin Dragons bounced back before Natsu charged the blonde.
With a flaming kick, he bounced Sting back as Gajeel punched Rogue to the ground. Sting slid to a stop and smirked, excited that the fight was living up to his expectations, before he pulled his head back. "White Dragon Roar!" A beam of light shot out and Natsu dodged it, only for Sting to continue the roar.
Natsu bent out of the way as Gajeel jumped back. Rogue appeared from behind, shadows rolling off his arm. "Shadow Dragon Slash!" He swung his arm and hit Gajeel, only to get blocked by an iron sword.
Gajeel smirked from behind the shield before he swung and hit Rogue in the face and swung it, slamming the edge into his neck. Natsu came up from behind and punched the Shadow Mage before dragging him along before throwing him into Sting. "Fire Dragon Wing Attack!"
Natsu swung his arms and whips of fire struck the two, sending them sliding. "What is happening here!?" Chapati asked. "The Twin Dragons of Sabertooth, the strongest guild in Fiore are being pressured like I've never seen before."
"You guys are tough for sure." Sting confessed. "Makes it more fun when we crush you."
"Tell me something: did you really defeat your dragon parents with that power of yours?" Natsu asked,
"We didn't just defeat them; we killed them." Sting replied. "But I don't see why it's any business of yours. If you losers wanna see our Dragon Slayer powers, I'll be happy to show you." Both Sabertooth wizards started glowing in their respective elements before both charged forward.
Sting punched Natsu who blocked with his arms, but it still pushed him back. Sting hit another punch before unleashing a flurry of punches.
Gajeel turned around as he looked around, Rogue having turned into shadows. Every punch and kick went through him as Rogue leaned into his ear. "You cannot grasp shadows." He declared before kicking Gajeel back. He sank into the ground and charged again, going through the sword Gajeel summoned and struck him.
Sting kicked Natsu back and the two hit each other's back, before the opponents charged with power, creating a massive dust storm. "They used a technique to increase their power." Mavis observed.
The two were pushed back even further before Sting swung his arm, hitting Natsu in the chest. "All I've wanted was to show the world I'm better than you. And today is that day!" A blast sent Natsu flying back as a strange mark appeared on Natsu's chest. "The White Dragon's Talon is imbued with holy magic. Anyone branded with its stigmata is paralyzed. And now the fun begins, punching bag!"
Gajeel turned and fired a Pillar at Rogue, only for the teen to turn into shadows at every moment. "In the end, a Shadow Dragon will always get his prey." Rogue declared before vanishing. "And you won't see it coming."
He swung his arm only for the Iron Dragon Slayer to grab his hand. "I wouldn't be so sure if I was you." Gajeel replied before glaring at the shadow. "Now where were we?"
Natsu smirked and dodged Sting's punch before delivering a flaming fist of his own. "How!? You shouldn't be able-" He slid to a stop and saw his chest clear of any mark. "You burned the stigmata off!?"
"You're not half bad." Natsu confessed, cracking his knuckles. "But you'll have to do better than that."
"What happened to all that cockiness from a minute ago?" Gajeel teased before pulling him in and slamming his elbow into Rogue's face. "Don't underestimate Fairy Tail!"
Natsu punched Sting into the wall and he fell out, stunning the crowd. "The battles tide has changed once again!" Chapati shouted as the First Gens started wailing on Sting and Rogue.
"You guys are pretty awesome." Sting confessed as he pulled his fist back, glowing in a white aura. "Looks like we have to go all out. And when we do, no flimsy fire and steel can stop us. Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Holy Nova!" Sting launched forward and slammed his fiat into Natsu, creating a massive explosion that blinded the entire arena.
The dust started to settle and everyone saw Natsu holding the fist, shocking everyone in the building. "I didn't think that was even possible." Orga said stunned.
"I don't recall anyone blocking that move before." Rufus added.
"Very interesting." Minerva chuckled. "I can see why he had the guts to attack us all by himself. If I hadn't stopped him then, we might have seen quite the show."
Rogue jumped up from behind and tried to attack, only for Gajeel to counter and send him flying into Sting before he and Natsu whaled on the two. "I didn't think three months of training and a Second Origin would improve their power this much."
The crowd cheered as Sting and Rogue were on the ground, pushing themselves up to their feet. "Not like we expected this to be easy..." Sting growled out. "Give us some credit... I made a promise, and I plan to keep it." The two opened their eyes and erupted into their elements, scales growing onto their bodies.
"They ain't playing around." Gajeel mumbled to Natsu.
"No kidding." The pinkette replied.
"I don't believe it." Makarov said in shock.
"This is the true power these fools face." Minerva said from the stands, a smug smile on her face.
"Dragon Force..." Mavis mumbled.
"That's the power Natsu used at the Tower of Heaven, right?" Gray asked Erza.
"In a way..." She responded. "But that was done by eating Etherion. I've never seen anyone activate in their own before."
The glow stopped and Sting stepped forward. "Hang back Rogue, I got this." He declared. "These guys don't stand a chance."
"I think I'm insulted." Gajeel teased.
"Don't underestimate him." Natsu warned. "He's strong."
Instantly, he charged Natsu and punched his 'idol' in the face, despite his attempt to block. Gajeel swung his leg only for Sting to duck and blast him back. Both Fairy Tail wizards charged and tried to attack him, only for the blonde to block every attack. He kicked Gajeel back before catching a fist from Natsu and then threw him into Gajeel.
Sting jumped into the air and pulled his head back, magic gathering at his mouth. "White Dragon Holy Breath!" An explosive breath shot out of his mouth and destroyed the entire floor of the arena, shocking the entire arena. Natsu and Gajeel fell through the hole before Sting dived after them.
Natsu flipped over and landed on a falling chunk of rock before jumping off, igniting his body. The spearing attack hit and knocked Sting back, right into Gajeel's line of fire. "Iron Dragon Roar!" A storm of iron shard shot out of his mouth, hitting Sting and forcing him to the ground.
Instantly, the blonde stood back up and held his hands together. "The radiance of a white dragon purifies all!" A bright glow emerged as he spread his arms wide, unleashing a swarm of light spears. "Holy Ray!"
The storm hit both Natsu and Gajeel and sent to the ground before they charge the blonde. Sting countered with a massive magical punch and sent Natsu flying into the caves wall. He turned and kicked Gajeel around a bit before moving to the side, letting Natsu hit his partner.
A blast of power flew out of his mouth and hit both. The stream continued as the dust built up, obscuring everyones vision. When the wind finally blew the screens clear, the entire arena saw Sting standing tall over Gajeel and Natsu.
"Change is inevitable." Rogue declared as he walked forward. "And the old generation has been beat by true Dragon Slayers. Their era was grand, but now it's over."
"You got that right." Sting chuckled as he walked away, deactivating his enhancement. "Good fight. The toughest I've ever had."
"Perhaps I was wrong." Minerva said from her team's box. "There's nothing special about him."
"Not so fast, pal." Natsu declared, shocking both Third Generations to turn around and see them stand up. "My head..."
"I'll be feeling that for a week." Gajeel added, crossing his arms.
"That wasn't so bad, but now we've seen all your little quirks." Natsu chuckled. "The timing of your attacks, the way you stand when you block, even the rhythm of your breathing."
"What the hell?" Sting asked in shock. "That's impossible! I used my Dragon Force! You shouldn't be standing!"
"Yeah, definitely feels like a train ran over me." The pinkette replied. "But now I know you also pivot your foot to 11 o'clock."
"10 o'clock." Gajeel retorted.
"No, it was 11." Natsu said, pushing Gajeel into a mine cart out of anger.
"Salamander, you..." Gajeel started before his motion sickness kicked in.
Natsu turned around and smiled at the two before waving his hand forward. Flames rolled off his fingers and spelt out 'Come on', challenging them. "I'll take you both on! Give me all you got, and get fired up too."
"Are you trying to piss us off?" Sting growled out.
"I have no interest in you." Rogue added. "My only target is Gajeel."
"Beat me, and you can have him." Natsu replied.
The Twin Dragons growled in anger, reactivating their advance techniques. "Did you forget we have control over Dragon Force?!" Sting shouted. "Nothing on this world is stronger than a Dragon, and we both have that power!"
He charged forward and swung his fist, only for Natsu to block it. "I don't think you're there yet, pal." He chuckled.
"It's how I killed Weisslogia!" The blonde shouted in anger.
"Then I should use my power..." Natsu mumbled before flames erupted off of him. "To fight for my friends you laughed at!" He punched the blonde back as Rogue rose out of the shadows behind him.
"Shadow Dragon Roar!" A vortex of shadows shot out of his mouth. Natsu turned and countered with his own roar, enveloping the black roar and its caster.
"I'm not done with you!" Sting shouted as he charged again alongside Rogue. Natsu dodged every swing and every kick before countering back, blasting both back with flames.
"Sting!" Rogue shouted as the blonde landed next to him, one of their arms pulled back. Shadow and light shot off of their limbs, morphing into giant orbs.
"A Unison Raid!?" Makarov asked in shock.
"Unison Raid - Holy Shadow Dragon Flash Fang!" A spiral of light and shadows shot forward with a double punch.
"Dragon Slayer Secret Art!" Natsu shouted, flames rolling off his body. "Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade!" A spiral of flames shot forward and clashed with the combined power, creating a massive explosion.
The entire arena watched with batted breath as smoke poured out of the hole. Two thuds echoed throughout the arena. The smoke cleared and the vision on the Lacrima camera's finally began to clear.
Natsu alone was left standing over the Twin Dragons, the crowd erupting into cheers. "Unbelievable!" Chapati shouted over the roaring public. "The winner is Natsu Dragneel of Team Fairy Tail! What an exciting way to end the fourth day! We're giving the fighters a day to recuperate before the final day! It's all culminating in a six team battle royale! So don't forget to come back!"
Frosch looked over and hugged the crying Lector. "How'd they both get their butts kicked by one guy?" Orga asked.
"It was fascinating to watch." Rufus chuckled. "I've fully committed it to memory."
"I had heard rumors of Natsu's power, but I thought that they were just that." Yukino said aloud.
"Seems we were both wrong." Minerva said back. "And I can't imagine father is going to be pleased." In the stands, everyone around Jiemma panicked and ran for their lives as the bricks shattered from his magic. 'His power comes from feelings...'
Natsu looked up at the score and smiled when he saw the numbers. "Let's fight again someday." Natsu chuckled.
'A complete and utter defeat.' Rogue thought in shame. 'Is Gajeel as strong as Natsu? If that's true, how could I have ever been so arrogant.'
Medical Ward
Carla gasped in shock before she stumbled back. "Carla, are you okay?" Wendy asked.
"I'm fine." The cat replied. 'That vision again...'
"We did it, Lucy!" Levy shouted as she entered the room. "If thing's keep going this way, we might actually win!"
"Of course they won." Lucy cheered. "They would never lose."
"By the way, have you guys seen Gajeel?" The bookworm asked.
"He's probably somewhere eating iron." Elfman chuckled.
With Gajeel
"Damn fire bastard..." Gajeel growled out as he stumbled out of the mine cart. "If you didn't win that fight, I'm gonna kill you. And where the hell am I?" He rounded a corner and froze in shock. "I don't believe it..." Bones of dragons littered the ground and walls, the stone encrusting the once white material. "A dragon... graveyard?"
Jellal walked through the streets of the city, a crude mask covering his face and hair. All four had split up when the magic from yesterday suddenly returned. He suddenly turned around and looked behind him. "I know you're there. Show yourself." The hooded figure stepped out of the alley, just like he wanted.
"I don't know who you are, but I'll show you my face." Jellal said, removing his mask. "I trust you, now show me yours." He looked down and noticed the feminine feet on the person. "Who are you?" The hooded person turned around and Jellal froze in shock. "No way."
This. Was. Awesome! No matter how many times I watch this, it is still just as amazing. Obviously, with Yukino NOT kicked out of Sabertooth, I had to skip over the bit with her being a sergeant. The next chapter is the start of the Fairy Tail 2014 era in this fic, so I'll see you then.
