Onward to the Sky Titan
After Lincoln and Clyde made dinner for themselves and their Pokemon, they ate while discussing future plans.
"What do you think we should do?" asked Lincoln.
"We'll think of something, but let's just eat for now." said Clyde.
"We should also call our families and let them know how we're doing." said Lincoln as he takes out his Rotom Phone, prompting Clyde to do the same thing; the two dial in their families' numbers and they soon answer.
"Hi, Lincoln!" said Lana.
"Hello, Clyde sweetie." said Howard McBride.
"How's Paldea?" asked Lynn Sr.
"It's awesome!" said Lincoln. He decides to do a quick swap of his Shellder for his shiny Eevee and shows him and his Rockruff to his family, while Clyde showed his dads his new Eevee.
"O-M-GOSH! That Eevee is totes adorbs!" said Leni.
"It's so cute!" said Lola. "I want one!"
"Why is Lincoln's Eevee a different color than yours, Clyde?" asked Harold McBride.
"There are rare occasions when a Pokemon's a different color than a regular one." said Clyde. "These Pokemon are referred to as 'Shiny Pokemon.'"
"Intriguing." said Lisa. The Loud family's dog, Charles, who was on the couch with them, notices Lincoln's Rockruff on his lap being petted by him, and glares.
"What's wrong, Charles?" asked Luan as she notices Charles' expression. Rita then looks at him, then at the screen showing Lincoln with Rockruff, then figured out what was up with him.
"I think that Charles is jealous that Rockruff is getting Lincoln's attention instead of him." said Rita with a chuckle. Rockruff looks at Lincoln's Rotom Phone at Charles and sticks his tongue out at him, making Charles growl in response.
"Hey, Charles; don't growl at Rockruff like that." said Lincoln with a stern glare. "He likes me because I helped him when he needed it; unlike a certain dog I can think of that wouldn't let me bunk with him after my family threw me out." Charles hangs his head down in shame and whines.
"Lincoln, don't you think you're being too hard on him?" asked Lynn Sr.
"Maybe you're right." said Lincoln. "But I'm still upset with how I was treated."
"And we're still ashamed of it." said Rita with regret in her voice.
"What else did you do today besides catch new Pokemon and your gym battle?" asked Lori, hoping to change the subject. Lincoln then goes on to tell them about how he and Clyde took down Team Star several minutes ago.
"Man, that Star Barrage thing sounds like fun!" said Lynn Jr.
"I shudder at the thought of Clyde being involved with something like that." said Howard McBride.
"At least it's only our Pokemon doing the fighting and not Lincoln and I." said Clyde.
"That's good." said Howard McBride as he lets out a breath of relief.
"I wish we had Pokemon here." said Lola with a pout.
"Perhaps I can find a way for Lincoln to send some of his Pokemon to us." said Lisa. "I wouldn't mind the opportunity to study them in person."
"And I can play with them, too!" said Lola with glee. "Especially that cute Eevee!"
"I want to play with the bug ones!" said Lana.
"Not eat, right?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah." replied Lana.
"I want to see the cute ones!" said Leni.
"I want to have a few rounds with the fighting ones you mentioned before!" said Lynn Jr.
"I want to see the ghost ones." said Lucy from next to Lynn Jr, startling her.
"Maybe next time I'm at Naranja Academy, I can talk to Mr. Jacq about that and see if he can give me plans for something to send you." suggested Lincoln.
"Splendid." said Lisa. "As a girl-of-science; I should endeavor to study all sorts of subjects in our world."
"Girls-of-science also shouldn't be buying into superstition so easily." said Clyde with a frown, making Lisa look away with shame.
"But we should be focused on the future instead of looking back at a stupid mistake." said Lincoln. "Especially considering it's the main reason we're here in Paldea right now, having an amazing adventure, and learning about Pokemon."
"Yeah, I guess that's true." said Clyde. Just then, they hear a loud squawking from nearby.
"What was that?!" asked Lynn Sr. Lincoln and Clyde look to the west towards a mountain and flying over it in front of the setting sun was a large, white, storklike Pokemon wearing what looked like a large apron around its neck. Clyde points his Rotom Phone towards it out of curiosity.
"Bombirdier, the Item Drop Pokemon. It gathers things up in an apron made from shed feathers added to the Pokémon's chest feathers, then drops those things from high places for fun." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"That's one big Pokemon!" said Lana.
"I wonder what a Pokemon that size would drop for fun." wondered Luan.
"Hold on a second." said Lincoln before bringing up the map of Titan Pokemon locations that Arven gave him. Upon inspection of it, he sees that the Bombirdier is in one of the marked areas. "I think that's the Sky Titan Pokemon!"
"Really?" asked Lynn Jr.
"Are you going to take it on?" asked Lori.
"Maybe we'll train for a bit first, then we'll take it on." said Lincoln.
"That's a good plan." said Clyde.
"Just be sure to be careful when you do that, Clyde sweetie." said Howard McBride.
"We will, Dads." said Clyde. Rockruff looks at Lincoln and barks a little, getting his attention.
"Oh, sorry." said Lincoln before giving Rockruff another part of a ham sandwich, making Charles growl, prompting Rockruff to glare back at him. Seeing things were going to heat up, Lincoln decides to end the call.
"Let's get some sleep." suggested Clyde. "We'll need our rest for training and taking on that Titan tomorrow.
"Good call." said Lincoln. After he quickly swaps his Eevee back for his Shellder, and helps Clyde clean their dishes, they set up their tent, and go into it. The two spent some an hour watching more Iono videos before going to sleep.
The next morning, after they and their Pokemon have breakfast, they pack up their tent and look over at the mountain where the Sky Titan yesterday.
"That's our next destination, buddy." said Lincoln.
"Can we beat it like we did that Stone Titan?" asked Clyde.
"We can if we work together." said Lincoln. "But to be on the safe side, we'll train up our Pokemon along the way."
"Maybe even catch some more." suggested Clyde.
"Good idea." said Lincoln.
"Let's let our Pokemon walk along with us." suggested Clyde. "That way, they'll be immediately out for battle wild ones if we find some."
"Sounds good to me, buddy." said Lincoln as he and Clyde let all their Pokemon out.
"So, who's ready to take on a Titan?" Clyde asked the Pokemon. They all cheered in response.
"Let's go, then!" said Lincoln. They all then started walking down the road; next stop: The Sky Titan. Can they beat it and help Arven get the second Herba Mystica? Wait and find out.
