On a certain day, an airship is flying in the sky as it has Angelica and Olivia on board. The two girls are heading back to the Holfort Academy as they need to make preparations for a ceremony coming in just four days. Clarice had already gone back to her Family's Household ahead of them but they planned to meet up during the planned ceremony.
"to think that Kira-san would get promoted…." Olivia spoke as she looked at Angelica who nodded.
summer vacation was almost over and the two received notice that Kira got a promotion just after the emissary of the Redgrave Household had reported about the actions being taken for the young man's action against the former crowned prince and his entourage.
"it's a surprise to all." Angelica spoke as she nodded her head twice. "He got a promotion from dueling the prince and his comrades after all."
"but it's still amazing that he is being promoted at the Royal Palace, right?" Olivia asks with a smile before she looks a bit confused. "but I thought that those kinds of things are irrelevant to feudal lords and seemingly impossible for Kira-san since he is a foreigner and all."
"indeed," Angelica said as she thought of it as well. "this is the first time in Holfort Kingdom's history that there is a foreigner who immigrated to this land would be made into a Noble and be given a promotion…" she soon smiles and sighs. "But seeing how Kira is a unique person and all, I can't find it too surprising."
"Yes." Olivia nods with a smile.
From him being a foreigner to become a successful adventurer who found an uncharted island and several Lost Items. Kira is seen as a mysterious enigma of success by many people of the Holfort Kingdom.
"But still, for him to be able to promote from lower six to upper six just by fighting the Prince and the others is a bit weird…" Angelica spoke while crossing her arms under her chest and began to think hard. "I wonder how this is even possible?"
"What do you mean, Angie?" Olivia asks confused.
"First of all, if anyone fights the prince and his comrades. They would get demoted than being promoted." Angelica explains before she sighs and looks to the sky. "I get that Kira got recognition than he many others below the sixth rank, but I can't see the point of promoting him for his actions."
"but Kira-san was standing in for Angie's representative in the duel! He might be promoted for his actions, right!?" Olivia cries out.
"that is true, but I don't think many would think the same." Angelica replied after shaking her head. "the aftermath of the duel depends on one's way of thinking. I believed that Kira isn't seen much from the royal palace, and they just gave him a promotion to upper rank sixth while not paying him any annuity."
"maybe it's because Kira-san visited Angie's family?" Olivia spoke as Angelica made a noise while turning to look at her.
"what do you mean by that?" Angelica asks while looking curious.
Olivia then explains that Kira once talked to her about visiting Angelica's family as the red eyed blonde had no idea about it.
"for him to come to my Family's household…" Angelica spoke while cupping her chin. "I wonder why?"
As the two conversed, they decided to change topics a bit.
"u-um…the ceremony is going to be held at the royal palace, right?" Olivia asks in a timid voice.
"Indeed." Angelica replied with a smile. "Relax, you can wear your school uniform. I plan to do the same as well."
Olivia smiles and then nods before both look to the clear skies above.
Some days later. at the Holfort Kingdom's royal palace.
A ceremony is held for Kira's promotion as the young man wears a knight's outfit with over the top decorations, his Gundam Strike was brought and decorated to the assembly hall where there are many participants. Most are those from the Holfort Academy.
It is just a few minutes before the start of the ceremony, Kira is doing some last minute preparations of his outfit with the company of the Bartfort Family, every member wearing a proper outfit for the occasion.
"it's so amazing…" Balcus spoke with a smile as he patted Kira's back a few times. "first you were believed to be just a foreigner, then became a successful adventurer, and then become a knight!" He soon cries tears of joy. "it's so amazing!"
"Even though we are not your parents, we can't help but feel proud!" Luce cried in tears with her husband.
"thank you." Kira bowed in gratitude to his guardians.
"still, to think that you got promoted for beating up the Prince and his entourage…" Nicks spoke as he scratches his chin. "I guess the Duke of Redgrave and the Earl of Atlee must've recommended you for knighthood on another rank, huh?"
"that's a given considering why Kira-kun did the duel in the first place." Jenna told Nicks while having Finley beside her. she raises and waves her hand to the side. "he fought a duel against the Prince and his entourage, win them through, and just over all defeat them without giving mercy of lessons." She crosses her arms. "it doesn't take anyone a second to see how the Duke wanted Kira-kun to be a higher ranked Baron."
"that's just how awesome and cool Kira-niichan is!" Colin added in, the youngest son of the Bartfolt Family cheered as this got Kira to smile with a small chuckle.
"I guess so." Nicks spoke before he sighed and looked a bit sympathetic to Kira. "but with how you're getting promoted, you'll be busy getting away from the girls."
"Pardon?" Kira replies.
"you were just a lower sixth baron but now becoming an upper sixth." Jenna explained with a finger pointed up. "girls in the academy will come after you because of your promotion." She shrugs her shoulders while smiling. "It just how things go in school."
"not only that, you're gonna have trouble with some girls and boys after the stunt you pulled with the Duke's daughter and all." Nicks added in while nodding.
"I see…." Kira spoke out as he is a bit awkward in the idea of him being surrounded by the imaginary girls or on how he would get teased for his accidental proposal action to Angelica on the night he asks to be her representative in the duel.
The group chattered a bit more just a minute before the ceremony could begin.
"how do you believe the King would think of me after what I did to his own son, Balcus-san?" Kira asks Balcus who made a very awkward look.
"I really don't know on that part, Kira." Balcus replied while scratching his cheek. "If I was in his place….i don't know what I'll do."
"I see…" Kira whispers before the ceremony began.
The next day, news of Kira being a Baron of the Upper Sixth Rank has now been officialized and spread wide. The young man being the youngest person to be given the rank of the upper sixth because of his many achievements; one of which includes him criticizing the prince for his foolish behavior.
At the Holfort Academy, in the lobby of the boy's dormitory.
Kira had just arrived at the academy nearly by the morning as he did some conversation talk with the boys of the school while getting to know about the second term of the course that would begin the next day and also about his new entitled name after the duel. Now he is by the reception desk; getting informed that he has a new room that is to be befitting his new rank.
"My room has been changed?" Kira spoke to the staff behind the reception desk who nodded his head twice.
"Kira Fou Bartfort-san is a knight and a baron of the upper sixth rank!" the staff stated. "you may be a student, but we've taken into account your rank too!" He then proceeds to present Kira with a room key. "here! your new room is at the higher ranked of the 5th floor!"
"I see." Kira replied as he took the key. "Thank you."
"no need!" the staff replied before he went around and picked up Kira's luggage. "Please! Let me show you to your room!"
Kira was about to reject the offer but after knowing how people see him in his new rank, he decided to just accept the offer.
A few minutes later, Kira is now in a spacious and luxurious room which is his own. It is all fully furnished from a closet to a cupboard filled with plates, cups, and utensils.
"seems that this is why many wished to get Promotions of their ranks." Kira said as he placed down his bag on a table nearby and then sat down by a chair. He sighs before hearing a few beeps from his earpiece communicator. "Hachi?"
"Kira, I think you should learn some things that have occurred while you were at your island with Angelica and the others." Hachi spoke out. "especially regarding the matters of the Prince and his entourage."
Over the time after the duel, the AI have been working hard in gathering every single piece of information about the Holfort Kingdom from inside and outside. one of the many ways he did so was to deploy stealth drones all around the Kingdom and report them back to a receiver and transmitter which is floating on the ocean water below. All of which was done to ensure that Kira and Hachi can get a better knowledge of the world.
"what do you have collected over the time?" Kira asks Hachi while quickly going to the door of his room and locks it, he went to his windows and covers them with drapes after taking a quick peek of the outside, and went back to the table where he picks up his bag and takes out a laptop that he place down in front of him.
"first off, there has been some new information about the map of this land." Hachi spoke as Kira activates the laptop with its screen lighting up and showing a 3D map of every island around the Holfort Kingdom itself. "ruins alike with where you found me, Tori, and the Archangel are also located in several uncharted islands at this locations." The map now has a few circles marking some small and large islands that are close and far from the Holfort Kingdom. "I am planning to send drones to investigate as there may be possibilities that we can find anything that may relate to our original world."
"Please do." Kira nods as he checks the map. "we need more equipment for the Archangel and we have to take into account the possibilities of battleships or mobile suits we can find in those locations." He begins typing fast on the keyboard. "Hachi, is it possible to get to those locations from the Holfort Academy back to back? how much time would it need to get there by riding the Archangel?"
"possibly 10-15 minutes, 5 minutes if we use the ship's boosters at full power." Hachi replied. "do you plan to check the islands out too?"
"Yes." Kira nods. "as much as I would like to allow the people of Holfort Kingdom to find the islands. I do not wish for them to have control over weapons like the Strike." He tenses his gaze a bit as he sees one large island that is about 1000kms away from the Holfort Academy but it is nearly 10,000 high in the air. "let's cross out the few big island's first, I have a feeling that those islands may hold ruins alike with the ones at our island."
"Roger." Hachi replied as the AI made markers appear on the big uncharted islands. "What do we do about the ownership?"
"let's leave them be as they are." Kira spoke. "we are only going to those islands to take anything that is necessary for the Archangel and us."
Kira and Hachi continued their conversation by the passing time as they make plans to go to some large uncharted islands in hopes of finding mysteriously hidden weapons like mobile suits or mobile assault ships. Thinking that if they found the Archangel and the Strike, there may be others just hidden out of sight.
As Kira makes his plans on his laptop, Hachi shows a recorded video of Marie along with Julius and his entourage.
"What is that?" Kira asks as he glances at the video.
"I thought it would be in your best interest to know that the duel ended with no good result." Hachi replied as he begins explaining that Julius and his entourage who have been disinherited by their respective households, have begun a life of adventuring with Marie over the course of the Summer Break. Even though two of the group weren't allowed to be near each other. "seems that they didn't learn the lesson."
"I see…" Kira spoke as he sighs tiredly. "let's leave them be as they are." He continues on working on the Strike's OS on his laptop. "Angel- I mean Angie wishes to leave things be with the prince. The same goes for Clarice-senpai."
"If you say so.." Hachi replied as the AI helps the man work with the OS. "by the way, how are things with Clarice, Angelica, and Olivia?" The screen now shows the three girls at different areas of the academy. "Clarice and Olivia are studying something while Angelica is running away from her followers for some reason. Is everything alright?"
"Everything is just fine." Kira replies while having a small smile. "Everything is just well and fine." He then sighs as he stops while having a complicated face. "but I can't say the same about me…"
"What do you mean?" Hachi asks while making a confused Emoji Face to appear on the screen of the laptop.
"it's about a new name that I got after the duel.." Kira spoke as he looked a bit stressed for some reason.
After the end of the duel and Kira's words of his actions that are for Angelica's welfare, he received news that he is the Enticer Knight; the Casanova who would go for brokenhearted or unsatisfied women who are already engaged of have a lover or boyfriend.
"I have collected information of that as well." Hachi spoke as the AI shows some info about some rumors in school. "I heard of one rumor from many male and female students who despise you that you are now the Lecher Knight. The man who would go for other people's love interests and nose in into trouble."
"i-i.." Kira spoke before he facepalms as he can't deny that his actions to Angelica is the same as his past actions with two women were the same. "this is just like with Flay and Lacus all over again.."
"I might also need to add the fact that you are also sought out by many female students." Hachi stated as he shows several photo images of girls talking while having photos of Kira. "some have prepared to send you letters for tea ceremonies and perhaps have the intention to have you as their lover as well. Even the ones called Milly and Jessica who have been engaged to their fiancés have second thoughts in their love life." The screen soon shows a large group of girls holding up photos of Kira himself. "and also, you have a fan club as well."
Kira looks awkwardly uncomfortable to hear the news as he can tell that his school life won't be relaxing or easy anymore.
A few weeks later, Kira is found at the academy's cafeteria and in the kitchen where he is currently making cookies with the help of Raymond and Daniel. The three are wearing butler-like outfits but without the suit that is replaced with aprons.
"we'll be taking them to the tearoom first, Kira." Daniel told Kira as he and Raymond carry a few tin boxes filled with baked cookies. "we'll be back in a while."
"Yeah." Kira replies with a nod as he is focused in whisking a batter of whip cream in a metal bowl that he holds in his left hand. "Be careful."
"We know." Raymond replied as he and Daniel went off.
After some time had pass, Kira and the others began their school's second term that had a traditional event of a school festival where many students work together with their fellow classmates in making stalls or entertainment for the guests who will come on the start of the festival day.
Just two days before the event started, Kira is working together with Raymond, Daniel, Olivia, and Angelica as the group decided to make a little café at a rented tearoom which they decorated for the occasion.
Right now, Kira is making sweets for their café as it is now a norm thing for him to be very popular with the girls because of how he can make good and delicious sweets for them.
Kira whisks the whip cream in the bowl before he finishes and begins icing a prepared three layer cake.
"Kira-san!" Olivia calls out as she along with Angelica comes into the kitchen while wearing maid outfits. "we've done spreading the flyers!"
"Good work." Kira replied with a smile as he finished icing the cake before he made tea for the two girls. "Take a break and have some tea."
"fuuu~… never knew that handing out flyers can be tiring." Angelica spoke out as she joined Kira and the others for the festival while volunteering to help in repaying the kindness that her friends had given her during the summer break.
"Yes, it was a bit hard to get people's attention." Olivia said while holding her cup of tea near her lips. "But thanks to Clarice-senpai and the others, we managed to do so easily!"
"Clarice-senpai helped in?" Kira asks while decorating the cake he just finished icing.
"yeah, she said that she wanted to help in a way that she can." Angelica replies with a nod after taking a sip of her tea. "she's very busy with the other event."
"she believes that there may be a contender to Dan-san's race?" Kira asks as he heard that one of the other events in the school festival is an Airbike race which Clarice and her followers are going to participate in, they are currently doing some training for it because of the Atlee Family having a sense of sportsmanship for airbiking.
"this year's possible contenders are people skilled with the Airbike after all." Angelica said while placing down her cup of tea on the table. "it's the main reason why Clarice had her followers train hard for it."
"I see." Kira said as he placed a few cherries on the top of his cake.
After some time making more sweets and confectioneries in the cafeteria's kitchen, Kira and the others began making their way back to their tearoom with their finished products.
The small group conversed with each other in planning for the customers to come to their café but as they did, they saw a large group of squealing and screaming girls who were going gaga over something.
"Did something happen?" Olivia asks while carrying tin boxes full of cookies and biscuits.
"Kira! You guys! Bad news!" Raymond and Daniel came running in as they stopped in front of the group with exasperated faces. "The tearoom next door! There's a café opened there too!"
"seems like we weren't the only ones with the idea for a café during the school festival…" Angelica spoke before hardening her gaze a bit. "but what is attracting so many girls?"
"the thing is…" Daniel spoke before he begins to explain to the three about what café it is.
"Café Princess?" Kira, Angelica, and Olivia spoke in unison.
"it's basically a café of the servers being guys." Raymond spoke before he adjusted his glasses while having a very awkward look on his face. "And not any ordinary guys…"
"Julius-sama~!" one random girl screams in the crowd as Kira and the others looks ahead and soon sees Julius wearing a white suit and greets the girls with a dashing smile.
"I don't think we need to ask on whose group has the tearoom next door." Angelica spoke with a small angry yet sad frown in seeing her ex-fiancé. She sighs before she went and goes into her group's tearoom. "you guys can check things out while I stay and make preparations."
"Alright." Kira nods as he and Olivia look a bit worried for Angelica.
"Angie…" Olivia whispers.
After dropping off the sweets and confectionaries at the tearoom, Kira and the others made their way to the large crowd of girls who left Julius while promising to come to his place when the festival begins.
"please come by for Café Princess" Julius spoke out to the girls who left while replying 'yes~!' in unison. The prince smiles at the girls before he turns and smirks a bit on seeing Kira and the others. "My, this is a surprise. To think that our next door's adversary has the polite gesture to greet us. I'm touched"
"you are running a café alike with ours?" Kira asks as he looks at the nearby wooden poster about the prince's café.
"if they wanted to run a café, why did it had to be near ours?" Daniel asks in a whisper.
"either they planned it to get back at Kira after losing in the duel or the executive committee just didn't know where to put them." Raymond replied.
"100 dia~?! Just for a set of snacks and tea!?" Olivia gasps in shock as she checks a flyer of the Café Princess' menu she obtained from Julius. "And the service charge is 100 dia too~!?"
Olivia nearly faints as she slowly falls back but Kira catches her in time.
"do you believe that it is too cheap?" Julius asks as he checks the flyer. "Marie said that we should keep the price at this amount, but personally I would like to raise it a bit more."
"Marie?" Kira spoke out as he looked at Julius. "Your café is worked between you, and Marie Fou Lafan?"
"Along with Jilk and the others, of course." Julius stated with a smile. "after countless Dungeon diving, we have been working together to make earns and get stronger." He then smirks while pointing a finger at Kira. "all to defeat you, Bartfort!"
"I could care less about your actions outside of school, but what is your excuse to be near Marie Fou Lafan?" Kira asks as he hardens his gaze a bit at Julius. "you swore on a vow to uphold the result of our duel after the school's first term. You are supposed to not be near Marie Fou Lafan and vice versa." He grabs Julius' outstretched finger and slowly grips it. "yet here you are working together with her for the school festival." He slowly put more force into the grip which made the blue-haired prince wince and take back his finger. "are you not breaking your own word?"
"I-I am just helping Brad and the others! they just happen to work together with Marie that there is no helping it that I am nearby!" Julius stated his excuse to Kira who went and grabs his collar then pulls him down to make him go face to face with the young man before he gets a punched to the face that made him fall. "Ugh!"
"K-Kira-san!" Olivia and the others look in surprise at Kira's action as the young man proceeds to grab Julius by the collar once again and face him.
"I once believed in people having second chances to redeem themselves." Kira spoke out as he sent a small menacing glare at Julius. "but seeing how pathetic of an excuse you have to break your own vow and promise after the duel." He pushes the prince back before he turns and walks away. "I have no faith in it anymore."
"K-Kira-san!" Olivia cries out as she did a quick bow to Julius before going after Kira.
"he's pissed!" Daniel said as he quickly follows Olivia with Raymond.
"You think!?" Raymond cries out.
They left Julius' bed as the prince adjusts his collar while looking a bit unwell in a way as he gets back up.
"Just what is wrong with that guy?" Julius whispers before he turns when he hears the door to his café being opened by Brad.
"Julius, hurry and give our more flyers about our café." Brad told the prince. "We are still preparing so you need to ensure that we get lots of customers."
"I-I got it." Julius nodded before he went and helped out.
In the tearoom rented by Kira's group.
Kira is currently just brewing some tea by a table as the way he is making it just let out the fact that he is very unhappy about something.
"Just what happened?" Angelica asks as she stands nearby and watches Kira with Olivia standing beside her.
"w-well…" Olivia replied before giving a quick yet brief explanation about Kira confronting Julius about him breaking his own promise and vow in the duel that ended when the young man punched the blue haired prince then left.
"He broke his vow and promise, huh?" Angelica whispers as she closes her eyes, sighs, and shakes her head. "I should've expected it."
"Angie, do you really love that man?" Kira asks Angelica who made a noise as the young man turns while carrying a teapot in hand. "I suggest that you find someone better than be with him." he glanced away with a slightly hardened gaze. "what a lie of his own words" he walks and places the teapot to a table near a couch. "I thought that he could redeem himself of his actions towards you but seems that it was a mistake to believe so."
"Kira…" Angelica whispers before frowning a bit.
"Hey, Kira. Just let it go." Daniel told Kira while coming near and placing a hand on his shoulder. The man giving a worried look. "I know that things didn't go well when you dueled against Jilk Fia Marmoria but leave the hate growing in you, alright?"
"as much as he is no longer the crowned prince, he is still a noble and a member of the Holfort Kingdom's royal family." Raymond added in while adjusting his glasses. "best you just leave him be to his own downfall."
"they're right, Kira-san!" Olivia said with a worried look. "I'm angry at what he did to Angie, but you shouldn't hate him so much to the point you want to fight him!"
Kira looks at the three before to Angie who frowns sadly to him.
The young man soon closed his eyes and turns his head to the side while letting out a small sigh before nodding.
"I got it." Kira spoke as he looked and smiled at his friends. "Thanks."
"You're welcome." Daniel nods with a smile before he gave a thumbs up. "and besides, it's not like our café is going to lose to theirs!"
"They got an insane price, service, and crazy handsome men as servers, but we can top theirs anytime!" Raymond added in while adjusting his glasses. "I mean, Kira here is popular amongst boys and girls." He looks at a large table nearby that has sweets and cakes prepared. "the cookies, biscuits, and cakes he make with his tea are to die for." He then smiles with a blush as he with Raymond looks at Angelica and Olivia. "And best of all…"
"We got cute and beautiful ladies on our side!" the two exclaimed in unison. "there's no way we will lose!"
"i-I don't think I can do well in this…" Livia spoke with an embarrassed blush as she tried to cover herself. "I mean, I'm not that cute nor beautiful."
"what are you saying, Livia?" Angelica told the girl with a smile while coming near her. "your skin is smooth and you're adorable. Don't say that you're not."
"b-but I don't have a good figure like yours, Angie." Olivia replies all worried. "I don't think…"
"Is it because you are a bit plump in some parts?" Angie asks as she gropes a part of Olivia's waist that made the girl squeal a bit. "I like them plump, you know?"
"b-but I want to have a good figure like yours, Angie." Olivia replies while blushing more.
The two are now in their own world as Raymond and Daniel cries in tears of joy to see them.
"yes~! Yes~! They are the angels we have been searching for! Our messiahs!" Daniel cries out. "This world has not forsaken us yet, Raymond!"
"yeah~! There are still angels amongst all!" Raymond said as they hugged each other.
Kira smiles a bit awkwardly to the two before he hears some noise by the window nearby as he turns and sighs a bit when he sees Tori pecking the glass window.
"where have you been, Tori?" Kira asks as he opens the glass window and has Tori flying up and perching to his shoulder. "did you have a nice time in the sky?"
"Tori~!" Tori replies as the mechanical bird twists and turns its head a few times while looking at Kira.
As Kira went into the room with Tori, Angelica took notice.
"Hey, Kira. I've been wondering." The red eyes blonde spoke while she looks at Kira who sat down on the couch. "what is that thing you call Tori?"
"I've been wondering about that too." Olivia added in as she looks at the mechanical bird that hops on Kira's shoulder a few times before it spreads its wings and flies around in the room. "it's always with you from time to time and sometimes leave too."
"is it like some sort of mechanical toy?" Raymond asks.
"His name is Tori." Kira said as he stretches out his right hand and lets Tori come down to perch on it. "he's like a small mechanical animal that a childhood friend of mine made and gave to me when we were separated because of the war." He smiles as he sees his mechanical pet bird just hopping and coming up to his shoulder once again. "he's been with him for almost 6 years or so."
"Your friend must be a master craftsman if he could make such a thing." Angelica said with a smile as Tori flew and came perching on Olivia's shoulders, the little mechanical bird twisting and turning its head a few times before crying out to her. "upon a closer look, it's very adorable."
"nice to meet you, Tori-chan" Olivia said to Tori with a smile as she gently patted the mechanical bird's head before it let out a single cry then spread its wings as it flies back to Kira.
Time passes, Olivia is found at an opening place by the school filled with students preparing stalls. The blonde maid girl holds up a handmade signboard with some information about Kira's café.
"Please come by!" "How about a haunted house~!?" "it starts tomorrow!" Several other students are also promoting their stalls' ideas as they go around giving flyers or telling students about the events that they are going to do.
Olivia is the only one currently doing this job because Kira along with Raymond and Daniel are too busy making preparations for their café while Angelica is too busy with Executive Committee work because she is the first year girls' representatives after all.
"Alright, I'll work hard as well!" Olivia said with a huff and a determined look in her eyes. "For Kira-san and everyone!"
Olivia begins going around to wherever there may be students as she tries her best to promote the café, but as she did, she gets approached by a group of several boys who are doing the same thing as she is.
"Huh? You're the honor student, right?" one boy asked Olivia who began to panic a bit.
"y-yes! I'm a-advertising a café!" Olivia replied a bit stuttering and nervous.
"So there's a cafe over there?" another boy said with a smile before handing a flyer for Olivia to take. "We're setting up a stall, so please come visit when you want to eat. We'll provide service."
"It's just things like crepes, though." Another boy said while holding up the signboard that has a drawn picture of a Crepe covered with chocolate, and sprinkles. "We're suffering from overdrafts, so we need to give it our all to earn money."
"I heard that there were lot of cafes, so your group should do its best." The first boy said with a nod.
"y-yes!" Olivia nods as the boys went off while waving goodbye. The blonde soon smiles as she was thankful that they were nice to her unlike the time when she gets bullied harshly because of how she is a commoner of no background.
Olivia continues to do her job in promoting the café to any students she can come across to, she goes around and soon spots a group of girls.
"Excuse me!" Olivia calls out to the group who turns and quickly sends her a cold glare.
The group consists of three girls who seemed to be from the advanced class, judging by the fact that there were exclusive servants following them.
"What does the honor student want?" one girl spoke while looking annoyed. "We're busy."
"I-I'm advertising our café…" Olivia spoke out a bit timidly.
"Don't tell me that it's that Bartfort's cafe?" one girl sneered in disgust. "There's no way we would go." She waves a hand in a shooing fashion towards Olivia. "Are you perhaps getting cocky just because those guys back there took a liking to you? Don't get the wrong idea when only a few guys fawn over you. Lowly commoner."
Olivia tenses up a bit as she frowns while looking down.
"h-hey! Cut it out!" one of the girls spoke out to the first one. "she's the friend of that Redgrave's daughter!"
"and if you anger Bartfort, you might end up like the Marmoria household's former heir!" the other girl added in as the first girl clicks her tongue before the group moves away.
Olivia was a bit saddened, but she shook her head and huffed a bit.
"Alright, I'll move to the next location!" Olivia said as she tries her best to keep a positive attitude. She begins walking away while trying to hold back the sadness in her heart. 'it's alright…I have them with me. as long as I have Kira-san and Angie…'
As she continued her advertising, Olivia finds out that only the boys are nice to her and the girls are the mean ones.
Olivia had an easy time promoting the café to the boys, but when she tried to promote it to the girls. They would just sneer at her, mock her, or just leave the moment she tries to come near them.
After almost an hour, Olivia looked a bit down as she had tried to give a flyer to some girls but they just ripped it apart and threw it away.
'Just why does everyone hates me?' Olivia thought with sadness growing large in her heart.
"You're doing a cafe?" a voice spoke as Olivia made a noise and turned to see a girl with blue hair standing near her. "Oh, so you're giving out free tickets. Do you still have one?"
"Y-Yes!" Olivia quickly replied as she presented a free ticket for a set of tea and sweets along with a flyer to the girl who took them.
"You're the honor student, right?" the girl asks as Olivia nods. She then did a quick polite bow and placed a hand on her chest. "My name is Carla. Carla Fou Waybe of the Regular class"
"My name is Livia──Olivia." Olivia greeted back with a smile. "We're setting up a cafe for the school festival, so by all means, please do come!"
"But isn't it also where Prince Julius' cafe is at too?" Carla asks on seeing the location of the café which is written on the flyer she has in her hands.
"y-yes.." Olivia dropped her shoulders and fell down as she knew how much of a big rival the café of the prince's group. "Kira-san is a bit troubled by their presence."
"sounds like you're quite close with the Baron Bartfort." Carla noted from hearing how very familiar Olivia spoke Kira's name.
'm-maybe calling him "Kira-san" is a bit too familiar..' Olivia panics a bit. 'there are nobles who hate being friendly with commoners after all.'
"you know, I heard rumors about him." Carla spoke with a smile. "but I heard that he is a kind person in a way."
"Huh?" Olivia looks confused. "What do you mean?"
"After all, there's nothing for a baron to gain by being with a commoner." Carla spoke with a finger to her chin before she did a quick side to side hand wave to Olivia. "Ah, I'm not trying to say that it's bad for you to be with him. It's just that he might kinder than others think."
"y-yes!" Olivia replied with a big smile. "Kira-san is a kind person! He's kind, strong, and a really reliable person! He does many things to help people! He even helped me! He even has a cute pet bird he calls Tori! And then!"
"I-I see" Carla spoke while a bit awkward to how enthusiastic Olivia is about Kira. "How nice.."
"yes, thanks to Kira-san and Angie, I feel that I made the right choice coming to this academy" Olivia said with a big happy smile.
"By Angie, you must mean Angelica, the daughter of a duke household?" Carla asks as Olivia nods in reply, which made the blue-haired girl smile even more. "I see, then can you introduce me to Baron Bartfort?"
"Eh? I think I can?" Olivia replies
"I see. in that case, could you introduce me to Baron Bartfort?" Carla replied with a smile while waving a hand to the side. "I'd like you to mediate the process."
"Introduce you?" Olivia said before tilting her head to the side. "I don't think that's necessary, but if I'm able to be of service, then I suppose I can."
"Thank you!" Carla said as she shakes hands with Olivia before going off. "I will definitely show up in front of you again, so I'll be in your care when that time comes!"
Olivia watches her leave as she waved a hand without thinking about the request too much.
The next day, the school festival began.
There are fireworks flying in the sky before exploding into sparkles and leaves white smoke drifting into the air.
The guests who are mainly people of nobility came into the school as some are women who had missed the days of when they were students, and had brought along their husbands, children, and their lovers as well.
Everyone goes around the school as the guests keep on coming before one peaks an interest upon more closer notice.
It is a woman who appears to be in her twenties, she has platinum blond long hair, blue irises and slightly drooping eyes that conveyed a gentle appearance, and her outfit is just a dress that was fastened to her waist and went up to her ankles while emphasizing the outline of her body.
This woman is Mylene Rapha Holfort, the Queen of the Kingdom who is currently in disguise as a guest visiting the school.
"Oh, they seem to be having fun. There are many stalls out." Mylene said with a smile. "Looks so fun~!"
As Mylene looks around, she is accompanied by a guard of the royal capital who is dressed as a common female guest.
"Mylene-sama, it's not the time for playing around." She spoke to the queen a bit quietly. "If you wanted to watch the school festival, wouldn't preparing a formal visit have sufficed?"
"It would be boring if we did it that way." Mylene replies with a small pout as she turns and smiles a bit. "besides i need to give a firm warning towards the baron who made a fool out of my cute Julius."
"If you give us an order, then we'll──" the disguised guard sighs as she is joined with a few others.
"I want to confirm something with my own eyes." Mylene said as she cups her chin and frowns a bit. "that child is something of a mystery and I really wish to meet him personally and a bit privately." She then smiles at her guards. "and to do so, I would like you to call someone to guide me." she points a finger up. "Angie, can you go and bring Angelica?"
"Very well." The guard nods before leaving as she disappeared to the crowd of people right there and then.
As her first guard left and her other guards just going around guarding her while pretending to be guests. Mylene went and opened a pamphlet that students were handing out.
"I look forward to our direct meeting, Baron Bartfort." Mylene said with a small smile as she looked at the pamphlet before she looked at the nearby stalls lined up near the school's entrance gate. The queen goes around to spend some time until her requested guide comes to her.
Meanwhile at the tearoom of Kira's café, the young man is holding up a tray of prepared tea and cookies as he stands near the window while looking outside. He sees the number of guests coming into the school's grounds.
"Hey, Kira. Hurry it up" Raymond told Kira as he passes by the young man while carrying away empty yet crumb filled plates.
"Alright." Kira replied as he moved and went to a table where some customers had arrived to have some tea and sweets from the café.
It has only been about 10-20 minutes after the school's festival been announced to begin as Kira's café already have customers coming in. albeit most are just guys from the regular classes who came because of Olivia and Angelica who wore maid outfits and are serving them tea and sweets.
"Man! I knew that we were going to get busy, but this is ridiculous!" Daniel said while quickly serving up some plates of cookies and biscuits to some students who were chattering while having tea. "just how many people did you invite, Olivia-san!?"
"u-um, about all the regular class's male students?" Olivia replied while quickly taking away empty teapots that she had Kira refill in quick time.
"that's just too much!" Raymond and Daniel cried out in unison. "we're getting swamped in just seconds!"
"Less talking and more serving!" Angelica scolded the two as she plated some cookies and a slice of cake before taking them to the customer who ordered.
The door soon opens as Clarice came with her followers.
"Excuse us, sorry we're late." Clarice greeted the group.
"Clarice-senpai? Why are you here?" Olivia who passes by asks the girl before quickly going to serve tea to a customer who is asking for a refill.
"don't you have the airbike race to attend with Dan-senpai and the others?" Kira asks as he came while carrying a tray of tea and sweets that had been prepared.
"the first match of the airbike race starts in 3 hours." Dan spoke in explanation. "we had time to spare because of it."
"we prepared for the race, but we thought that we could use the time to help you guys." Clarice said as she looked around. "you guys are very busy just from seeing how many have come around the little café of yours."
"very much appreciate it, Clarice-senpai." Kira thanked me with a smile.
The group now has some extra hands on the deck as they are more stable in managing their café in mere minutes.
At a certain point of time, a teacher came in and called out to Angelica.
"Angelica-san! someone is calling for you!" the teacher said to the Redgrave family daughter who made a noise while in the middle of serving tea.
"For me?" Angelica asks.
"it seems that the person who requested your presence is of importance to your family." The teacher explained. "please come to the main office immediately."
"but I'm currently…" Angelica spoke out as she is still working as a maid in the café.
"You go on ahead, Angie!" Olivia told Angelica with a smile. "me and the others can handle the café now with Clarice-senpai's help. Don't worry!"
"Livia…" Angelica looks at Olivia for a moment before she glances at Kira who nods with a smile with Raymond and Daniel just doing the same. She glance at Clarice who did a thumbs up to her and that made the red eyes blonde smile back before nodding then turns back to her blonde friend. "alright, I'll try to get back as soon as possible. Keep up the good work, everyone."
With that Angelica left the café with the teacher as they exited the place.
"looks like we're as busy as the next door's café." Raymond said as there is a line of excited girls who are going to the Café Princess.
"with how it's the Prince and his entourage who are being the waiters and all…" Daniel spoke before he sighs and went back to prepare more sweets. "Who can be surprised by it?"
As the group were conversing, Jenna and Nicks came in. although the second son of the Bartfort Family looks to have been dragged there by his sister.
"Kira-kun~! We're here~!" Jenna hollered all happily. "sorry, we're late~!"
"welcome to our café, Jenna-san, Nicks." Kira greeted the two first. "a table of two?"
"Yes, please!" Jenna replied before she hugs Kira's right arm. "and please be our special server, Kira-kun~!"
"T-That's not possible…" Kira replies with an awkward smile. "I mean, I have to work and serve other customers…" he then glances at Nicks for help. "um…Nicks?"
"She won't take a no after how she dragged me through the entire festival to get here, Kira." Nicks replied while looking all tired. "best if you just go with it.."
"e-eh?" Kira looks rather defeated before Jenna begins to drag him away to a table with Nicks slowly following behind.
A few minutes later. At the many stalls around the school's ground, there is Angelica who is looking very awkward because she is with Mylene who had asks for her presence and required her assistance as a guide upon the Holfort Academy's festival.
"My Queen, I'll be troubled if you move so recklessly.." Angelica told Mylene who just giggles while seemingly enjoying the school festival.
"My apologies. But please bear with my selfishness for today." Mylene told Angelica while hugging her left arm. "It was quite tough for me as well to bring myself here and ask something from you, you know?"
"I-I'm sorry.." Angelica said in an apologetic tone.
"And besides! This is my first time at a school festival!" Mylene said with a big smile as she looked excited at the many stalls around them before smiling at Angelica. "Also, it's been a long time since I've seen you in a maid dress, Angie. I'm only used to seeing it since you were studying under me in the past."
"I-I'm very grateful for the many things that happened back then." Angelica said as she did a quick head bow. The red eyes blonde girl had study manners through apprenticeship at the royal palace, she was practically Mylene's attendant and student.
'can't have her recall too much of those days..' Angelica thought that when she was a child studying under Mylene, she had lots of troubles. 'still..i can't help but wonder the reason as to why she is here.' She glances around and notices the queen's guards who have blended with the people in the festival. 'her royal and private guards came with her too.'
"At any rate, the academy is amazing." Mylene said with a big smile as she giggles a bit. "My motherland didn't have one."
"Is that so?" Angelica replied as she knows about Mylene being the Queen of the Holfort Kingdom, but she is a citizen princess from another country and the reason she is married to Roland Rapha Holfort is because of politics and peace requirements.
The two continued to stroll around the school as they conversed about any topic that the queen brought up.
"It seems your complexion is a lot more peaceful than how it was at the title-bestowing ceremony." Mylene said with a glance at Angelica. "You've definitely improved now and surely living a more fulfilling life now."
"I've been enjoying my student life, after all." Angelica replied with a cheerful smile that Mylene took notice of the cheerfulness.
'To think that she is able to see through people while looking that innocent…' Angelica thought as she let out an inner sigh while looking at Mylene who seems to be pondering about something. 'How terrifying.'
"is it because of that Kira-kun?" Mylene asks as Angelica blushes hard.
"That's not it!" Angelica cries out in embarrassment as she quickly calms down. "Leaving that aside, did you really come here incognito just to meet Kira?"
"Of course!" Mylene replies with a huff. "Julius's disinheritance was by his own decision, but as his parent, I'd like to at least give a word of complaint. It's also a problem that he chose to participate in the duel so quickly." She crosses her arms under her chest and looks down with a pouting looking face. "However, what I don't like was what happened. Jilk-kun's actions just brought dishonor to his family and Julius' foolishness ended in his own demise! The duel was literally too cruel for me to even watch!"
"I'm sorry about my representative…." Angelica spoke in an apologetic tone, knowing that Mylene might be angry at Kira for smearing the Prince's name but he was publicly forgiven by the queen who still couldn't personally forgive him for his actions against his own son. 'for her to hold this much emotions for something as severe as the duel…'
"Since Kira-kun has been appointed as a knight in the kingdom, we will also have to bear responsibility for his actions from now on!" Mylene added in with another huff. "That's all I will say."
"Please forgive him for his harsh actions upon the duel, Mylene-sama." Angelica apologizes once again. "Kira was just being a good friend and all."
Mylene looks at Angie as she sighs while having a small sad smile.
"Angie, you've become kinder than before." Mylene asks with a frown. "In the past, I had talked about how you wouldn't listen to what I would say or perhaps the matter regarding Julius still affects you?"
"I can't say for certain that it doesn't." Angelica replies while shaking her head.
"I'm truly sorry about Julius, Angie. As his mother, I can't stress how mad I am of his actions against you" Mylene said to the blonde while frowning sadly as she looks to the front. "All things considered, I wonder how that child was led astray. He never had that sort of behavior in the royal palace."
"According to his Highness, the aura of normality from a student is pleasing for him." Angelica replied. "He also said for us to understand that."
"I wouldn't understand something like the normal lives of students." Mylene said while shaking her head. "I've never been to the academy myself, after all. However, based on what I heard about the academy," she glances to the side and hardens her gaze at something. "it's a cruel place."
Angelica looks at where Mylene is looking as she turns and sees a commotion between a girl and a boy who is working at a stall selling chocolate bananas.
"Hang on, you expect to earn money with something like this?!" the girl exclaimed while pointing a finger at the boy. "You should be giving it to me for free!"
"i-I can't do that!" the boy cried out while looking panicked.
It wasn't just one stall, many other stalls that had boys running them are being ripped off in their products by many girls who didn't pay and they ensure that no one can fight back because of their demi-human servants that accompany them and coerce the boys.
"this is really awful, isn't it?" Mylene commented as Angelica nodded.
"Very embarrassing." Angelica said before she guided the queen around the campus.
A few minutes later, Angelica brought Mylene to the hallway where it would lead to Kira's café and the Café Princess.
"So, this is the location." Mylene spoke on seeing the location of Kira's café and then to the Café Princess next door. "it seems that the neighboring cafe is doing massively well."
"Yes." Angelica nods as she looks a bit curious to how the line of boys are no longer waiting to come into Kira's cafe. 'strange that business is now over after the rush hour we had earlier.' She cups her chin as she thinks. 'I guess everything went calm as business goes.'
"Now then!" Mylene looks with an excited smile. "let's go and make some trouble for Kira-kun's café!" she looks at Angelica. "Help me out too, Angie!"
"Mylene-sama, I'm a waitress who works here, you know?" Angelica replied with a very awkward look on her face.
"It's fine! It's fine!" Mylene giggles in excitement while pushing Angelica to get her in with her plan. "Just complain about the black tea being lukewarm or something like that. At least have him remake it three times. I'll forgive him after that.."
"Mylene-sama…" Angelica sighs a bit tiredly as she had no way to get herself out of the queen's little prank of a plan.
As Angelica is about to open the door, a heavy and loud bump is heard from it which surprises her and Mylene.
"w-what was that?" Mylene asks as Angelica pushes the door open but finds it rather hard.
"What is this?" Angelica pushes the door harder as it opens just wide enough for her and Mylene to come in.
Angelica looks at what is making the door hard to open and she finds a bloodily bruised and knocked out black haired elf demi human servant just by the door.
"K-KIRA-SAN! PLEASE STOP!" Olivia screams out as Angelica and Mylene turns and gasps in surprise when they see Kira holding up a blonde girl with tied circular pig tails, the young man chocking the girl to the point that she is making small white foams coming out of her mouth.
"w-what's going on here?!" Mylene asks all confused and frantic as she sees that the entire café is a mess. There is a knocked-out elf servant by the door, one beast man who is hanging by the destroyed window, and another who is upside down on the wall nearby.
"Hey! What happened here?!" Angelica cries out to Raymond and Daniel who are hugging each other and looking scared. "what's going on!?"
"i-it's Kira!" Raymond cries out. "He snapped because of what that girl and her servants did!"
"Yeah! She came in making a ruckus when you left and just went to do bad stuff around the place!" Daniel added in. "she broke many things and had tried to get her demi human servants attack us and all, but Kira went and totally flipped when she took his ring and broke Tori's wings!"
"Kira-san! please stop! You're hurting her!" Olivia cries out to Kira as she is trying her best to stop the young man from literally choking the girl to death.
"agh..aghh..ahh!" The pig tailed girl gasps as she looks like she is running out of air.
"Stephanie-sama!" a girl cried out as she seemed to be the first girl's companion who looked scared.
Kira continues to put more pressure on his grip to choke the girl whose body went limp in matter of seconds.
Emotionlessly looking at the girl he has made passed out with his choking, Kira went and proceed to throw her straight to a glass cupboard that gets destroyed upon her crash.
"Kira/K-Kira-san!" Angelica and Olivia cried out while Mylene gasps in horror from seeing the brutality that Kira just did.
The young man soon turns to look at the other girl in the room who tenses up in fear as Kira slowly grabs a butter knife from a nearby table.
"Kira!" Angelica goes in and quickly slaps the butter knife off his hand which made the metal utensil drop to the floor with several clangs. "Enough! Stand down!"
Kira looks at Angelica for a moment before he turns and glares at the other girl.
"Leave." Kira spoke out in a deeper voice before hardening his gaze. "Or share the same fate as your friend over there."
The girl gasps and trembles in fear as she quickly leaves the room, scared for her life.
After they left, Kira who is looking at the door turns to hear Tori's cry. The young man seeing his mechanical pet bird on a table but has a damaged wing, and is standing near his ring necklace that has its chain broken.
"Just what is going on?" Mylene asks as she felt really out of place.
A few minutes later, Raymond and Daniel are working together in cleaning up some broken pieces of teacups and plates that are mixed with some broken glass pieces while Kira is having a face to face meeting with Mylene who has Angelica and Olivia sitting beside her.
The little fight that Kira had had not been spread out too much thanks to their etiquette Teacher who lent a hand while just passing by their café. The injured girl and her demi-human servants were taken away as they got delivered to the school's infirmary.
Right now, Kira sits on a chair and faces Mylene while having Tori whose broken wing have been fixed and is now perching on the young man's right shoulder.
"I get the whole story now." Angelica spoke as she got the whole detailed explanation from Olivia of how the fight had happened.
After Angelica left to be Mylene's guide, Clarice and her followers left because they had an airbike race to participate. Now with no higher ranked nobles with them, the Earl of the Offrey Family's daughter decided to come into the café with her followers and demi human servants. They made a ruckus and drove off their customers because of the difference in nobility. The girl named Stephanie Fou Offrey tried to rip off the café's work by making excuses for the tea being not good along with the sweets, she broke some glasses and plates while also mocking the Baron.
Kira had been patient with her as he served her tea again and again, but Stephanie would find the excuse to bash the tea at the young man's head. She demanded compensation from Kira who she called the pathetic Lecher Knight, and she did it by damaging Tori's right wing by throwing a glass and then tried taking away the young man's ring necklace which was commented that it must've belonged to a very poor girl who had bad taste in men.
Afterwards, Kira snapped and became enraged to the point he brutally injured the Offrey girl's demi human servants who tried to beat him up upon the girl's order before he went and choked his aggressor and injure her with no mercy before it leads up to the current situation.
"Kira, I get that Tori and that ring of yours are important to you, but to do so to the daughter of an earl family…" Angelica spoke while looking a bit angry at Kira. "you could get into trouble with them."
"So what?" Kira asks as he still looks angry. "if she and her family wishes to go into conflict with me, then I will reply in force."
"Kira-san! it's bad to do such a thing!" Olivia cries out. "I understand that you're angry but to do such a thing to a girl!"
Kira didn't speak a word as he let his anger just boil in his eyes.
"I'll do as I wish." Kira spoke before he looked at Mylene. "but as of now, I only wish to ask on why is the Queen of Holfort Kingdom here?"
"Eh!?" Olivia, Raymond, and Daniel look in shock as they didn't realize that Mylene is their Kingdom's queen.
"Seems that you can see through anyone in disguise, Baron Bartfort." Mylene spoke to Kira while folding her hands on her lap. "perhaps you can tell why I am here?"
"if you are here to scold me about my actions in causing your son; Julius Rapha Holfort to be disinherited and his title as the crowned piece be taken away. Then do as you please." Kira spoke while waving a hand towards the queen before he lowered it and glances his eyes to the side while hardening his gaze. "I could care less in hearing the words from the mother of the foolish prince who isn't worthy to be the FUTURE king of this kingdom."
"h-hey!" Angelica cries out because of the rude attitude that Kira has, but Mylene raises a hand to her in stopping her.
"mother of the foolish prince, is it?" Mylene spoke before she sighed with a sad smile. "I guess I have to agree with that statement of yours." She composes herself a bit and looks at Kira. "to begin this conversation, I must emphasize that I am exasperated, Kira-kun. I'm very exasperated of your actions against my son and possibly to the Earl Offrey's daughter." She waves a hand to the side. "I have many complaints for you but I'm not here to punish you. I am here to have an honest talk with you. Just that."
"What do you wish to converse me with?" Kira asks while slightly leaning against his seat.
"first would be the matter of Julius." Mylene spoke as she closed her eyes and placed her hand to her chest before doing a head bow. "as his mother, I am very sorry of his actions in getting you involved with his selfishness.." She raises her head and lets out a soft sigh while looking a bit sad. "I wonder how it came to this?" The queen then takes a cup of tea which has been prepared by Angelica. "I know that it is cruel for me to say this, but I am actually glad that he fell in love with a girl from a viscount household. That boy never showed interest for women back at the royal palace, so I never could have imagined him getting so obsessed with that girl."
"You are mistaken, Queen Mylene." Kira spoke as he waved a hand to the side. "the Prince is only obsessed with Marie Fou Lafan who manipulated him because of his naivety." He hardens his gaze a bit. "The same could be said for the other four."
"I see.." Mylene nods a bit as she glances at Angelica who looks a bit sad for a moment before going back to Kira. "but still, I believe you were incredibly cruel during the duel, Kira-kun. The first three rounds were honorable in any standards but when you dueled Jilk-kun, you were incredibly cruel." She shakes her head when she remembers the duel between the two that nearly ended with the Strike crushing Jilk in his Armor. "Knowing your abilities, couldn't you resolved things more peacefully?"
"Jilk Fia Marmoria broke his vow in the duel and broke his promise." Kira stated in a bit of a harsh tone. "the rules of the duel are followed and respected by all. he believed that he could find a loophole in it just to act on his own selfishness." He hardens his gaze. "if our duel was a battle in a war, I would have no hesitation to kill him on the spot."
His reply made the others tense while Mylene remained calm looking.
"That is…understandable." Mylene nods before closing her eyes and sighs a bit. "The matter with Jilk-kun is no longer of my concern or jurisdiction. He is now disinherited from his household and have been punished for his actions."
"I've heard." Kira replies before he glances at Tori who spreads his wings and then flies in the air then lands on Olivia's right shoulder. The young man smiles to see his little mechanical pet bird flying again before he looks at Mylene. "And what of your own son? Do you have complaints about the duel between him and myself?"
"in Julius' matter…" Mylene spoke before she closed her eyes, shakes her head, and sighs. "I can only say that he has reaped what he had sown." She opened her eyes and looked at Kira. "your actions in reprimanding him of his true duties as the crowned prince of the Holfort Kingdom is admirable and noble by my view. I have no words to say about him."
"I see…" Kira nods before he went to take his own cup of tea which he took a sip from to give some liquid for his mouth and throat.
"Kira-kun, I believe you may already know that you are not well liked by many nobles in the royal palace." Mylene spoke while folding her hands on her lap. "not only because you are a foreigner, but the fact that you defeated Julius and the others who had many expectations from the other nobles." She sighs and looks at Kira directly. "have you thought about your future carefully?"
"I have." Kira nods. "And if I may request something for you to share with the nobles of the royal palace, Queen Mylene?"
"What is it?" Mylene asks, curious.
"please inform them that I shall not be an enemy to the people of the Holfort Kingdom for as long as I am here as a student of the Holfort Academy." Kira spoke with a hardened gaze. "I aim for peace and tranquility. I will only act hostile if they do the same. Just that."
"I see, very well." Mylene said with a nod. "I'll make note of that."
"Thank you." Kira nods before he closes his eyes and drinks his cup of tea.
Mylene looks at Kira as she made several notes about the young man.
'This young man is possibly the kindness and bravest person in this room.' Mylene thought after seeing Kira's entire nature firsthand. 'kind, caring, and noble, but at times brutal in hostility towards others.' This child wishes for peace and tranquility because it is in his own nature to do so. he only becomes violent when it is to protect others.' She closed her eyes and then took a sip of her tea. 'as much as I don't wish for such a softhearted person to be involved in wars, I cannot disagree with the fact that he would make a great knight for the kingdom's peace.'
"now then…" Mylene spoke as she place her cup of tea down. "I thank you for your time, Baron Bartfort."
"it was my pleasure, Queen Mylene." Kira replied. "what shall you be doing now that you have achieved your reason for coming here?"
"well, I actually plan to talk to you and have some fun at the school festival." Mylene replied with a smile. "you see, I was born from another country that doesn't have this kind of event! So I thought that I should make some memories at the academy!" she giggles a bit. "My female acquaintances always have so much fun talking about their memories here, so I was kind of jealous!"
"I see." Kira spoke with a nod before he shook his head. "but I believe that may be a bit impossible."
"Why you say that?" Mylene replied to a bit in confusion.
A few seconds of explanations later, Mylene soon had a very angry face.
"so that is the reason why he always looks so excited to go to the Dungeons…" Mylene spoke as she gets off her seat and slowly made her way to the door. "I thank you, Baron Bartfort. For sharing your time with me and telling me about the misconduct of my son."
"you are welcome, my queen." Kira replies as he along with the others watched Mylene leave the room.
"Where is she going?" Daniel asks.
"JULIUS! HOW DARE YOU BE INVOLVED WITH THIS WOMAN AFTER THE LOSS OF THE DUEL!" Mylene's voice is heard screaming angrily as this made everyone in the room wince a bit.
"Need to ask again?" Raymond told Daniel while adjusting his glasses and looking a bit bewildered.
A few seconds later, everyone decided to take a break after what had just happened.
"Kira, you should really try to be more patient with other people." Angelica told Kira who was in the middle of fixing the chains of his broken ring necklace. "that girl belonged to the Coffey Family which is a household opposing mine. the matter of you attacking her will be seen as self-defense, but if you harmed her too much…."
"Then so be it." Kira replies as he fixed his ring necklace and puts it on before hiding the item under his attire. "I am more concerned for the safety of my friends than people like her."
"He is right." Daniel said. "that Offrey girl not only tried to hurt Kira, but also Olivia-san who tried to stop her."
"She even said some mean things about her too." Raymond added in.
"What did she say?" Angelica asks while looking a bit angry.
"commoners are mere plebians whose life is of no concern to us nobles." Kira spoke as he looked at Angelica. "She believes that Olivia is your 'pet'."
"What?" Angelica spoke in surprise as she looked at Olivia. "Is this true, Livia?"
"y-yes…" Olivia nods while looking a bit nervous. "she said that to me and i…"
"It is a lie." Angelica stated while placing a hand on her chest and smiling to Olivia. "You are my friend. That Offrey girl was trying to use her noble standing to say such things as she please. Don't let her get to you, Livia."
"y-yes! I got it, Angie!" Olivia replied with a smile.
The two girls got into their own world once again while Kira and the others watched.
"that won't ever get old, wont' it?" Raymond asks Daniel with a big smile, his comrade just nods his head twice while having a peaceful and happy smile.
Kira looks at the two girls before he hears knocking from the door that soon opens.
"excuse me.." a voice spoke out as the door opens then reveals Carla who came walking in. "is this café still opened?"
"Sorry, but the café is on break right now." Raymond greeted the girl.
"I see," Carla nods before she smiles to the group. "but I'm actually here for another matter."
"What is it?" Angelica asks the girl who turns and smiles at Olivia.
"Olivia-san, could you carry out my request?" Carla spoke to Olivia who made a noise before nodding.
"Her name is Carla-san." Olivia spoke out in introducing the girl who bowed politely to everyone. "She said that she wanted me to introduce her to you."
"Carla Fou Wayne." Carla spoke her name while placing a hand on her chest. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, Baron Bartfort."
"Pleasure." Kira replies with a nod.
"Thanks for being the middleman here!" Carla thanked Olivia with a smile.
"Oh?" Angelica looks at Carla with a stern gaze as the blue-haired girl becomes tense.
"why did you wish to meet me?" Kira asks Carla. "and why ask Livia as the middleman for it?"
"Ah, so you understand what's going on?" Carla replied with a smile while scratching the back of her head. "As expected of the most successful classmate. You're much different from the other boys."
"state the reason for you to be here, Carla Fou Wayne." Angelica spoke in a serious tone to Carla who nodded before kneeling before Kira.
"Baron. Please save my family," Carla spoke before she bows her head. "No…please save us all."
Everyone looks at Carla before to Kira who just looks at the girl with a rather curious and skeptic look on his face.
