9. Chapter 9

Upon the school field trip that Kira and his group are in, there is a time of panic and chaos for them because of the coming of the Fanoss Dukedom who came invading while announcing war against the Holfort Kingdom.

Currently, a messenger from the principality descended onto the luxury liner's deck as he is a very well-dressed man who introduced himself as Earl Garrett. The man looks like he is one of those blatant arrogant persons who speaks while caressing his own moustache as he looks at the group of people on board the luxury liner who have been collected to face the man.

"Children of baron households and above will be treated as prisoners of war." The enemy Earl spoke with a small smirk. "We have no interest in the children of knight households and below. The same goes for demi-human slaves. Of course, we also don't need the sailors of this airship."

His words made a majority of the people on board the airship to begin to despair as most are from the regular class while those of the advanced classes just sighs in relief.

"W-Wait! Please spare my exclusive servant!" one girl of the advanced class cried out, not wanting her demihuman servant to be killed. "He's my favorite!"

"Then you can go down with your lover." Garrett replied to the girl with a condescending attitude. "It's of no concern if we have one or two less hostages."

Again, more despair comes for the group as all the advanced classes' girls who had demi human servants just moved away from them. Not wanting to die because of them.

Kira and Olivia are amongst the crowd gathered as they also look at the scene before them.

"w-what's going to happen now, Kira-san?" Olivia asks, scared and nervous because she never faced such a situation beforehand.

"in this type of situation, they will only take hostages from the Baron and upper class for ransoms." Kira spoke, getting the knowledge form Hachi who had told him. "perhaps they wish to make an example of their invasion to the Kingdom…"

"n-no way…" Olivia looks scared even more as she felt fear for her life.

Kira looks at the girl before he glances side to side and sees the number of the Fanoss Dukedom's invading forces in the sky and the enemies on board the ship.

'the enemy had to have a way to find us on this ship, are there traitors on board? Or spies? Whichever it is, I don't think that anyone on this ship would be able to help me take the enemy down.' The young man grasped his knuckles tight as he plans to attack the enemies and protect the ship by any means necessary. 'should I go for it now or later?'

As Kira was thinking of his plan, Angelica suddenly stepped forward and faced Earl Garrett.

"Who is this, young girl?" Garrett spoke while looking down at Angelica.

"I am Angelica Rapha Redgrave." Angelica spoke out in a rather confident manner. "Do you know about my family's name?"

Hearing the name of a duke household, Garret's eyes were wide open, but he then immediately smiled.

"I would have never thought that the daughter of a duke household would be aboard" Garrett chuckles while gently caressing his mustache. "the kingdom really is stupid. Letting such an important person go on a trip without guards." he then opened his arms in delight. "Excellent! Let me show you my respect for your courage in introducing yourself! Now, come here."

Garrett begins to lead Angelica away to his airship that has boarded nearby.

Olivia looks very worried when she saw Angelica coming to face the enemy Earl while Kira takes several steps forward.

"Angie! Wait!" Kira shouted but he got hit by the back and pushed to the ground by several male students. "ugh!?" he looks at who is pinning him down and to his surprise; it's the male students who are Angelica's followers. "you people!? What are you doing!?"

"how noisy…" Garrett spoke as he paused and looks at what was going on. He goes and looks down at Kira who is pinned down. "Who is this boy?"

"he's…my friend" Angelica spoke out as she looks away while closing her eyes.

"oh such warm friendship." Garrett chuckles before he went and trampled Kira's head with his right foot. The man having a smile with malicious intents. "What a rebellious attitude." He looks at the nearby nobles around him. "Now, let's give the kingdom's nobles their first job." He points a finger at the young man under his boot. "Punish this person. C'mon, hurry up."

In his request and command, the boys that held down Kira begins to use violence against him.

Kira resisted but he couldn't win against the strength of three young men.

"W-Why are you all!?" Kira shouted but he was pinned down with more force by them.

"Are you going to make Angelica-san's will go to waste? You should shut up!" one guy shouted while punching Kira's head and then his back.

Angelica sees the actions of her followers as she grimaced in the sight of Kira getting blood coming down his forehead and lips.

"Stop it already!" Angelica cries out. "just stop!"

"Oh, that's not the attitude to take when asking something." Garrett spoke out while stroking his mustache in between his fingers. "That won't do for a duke daughter."

Angelica frowns a bit before she asks in a polite tone. "Please stop. I beg of you."

Garrett's mouth warped into the shape of a crescent, like that of the moon, and smiled while speaking loudly. "Unfortunately, I don't want to!" he laughs while waving his hands out. "Well then, you're coming with me!" he then looks at the students who are beating up Kira. "Ah, you people, make sure to beat up that stupid brat thoroughly, do you understand?"

"Angie!" Kira shouted but he gets a punch to the face by the boys. "kuh!"

Angelica frowns sadly to Kira before she looks at Garrett

"I alone am enough for a hostage, right?" Angelica spoke out politely. "if so, please let the others go."

"hohohoho! Your preparedness to sacrifice yourself for others is moving me to tears." Garrett chuckles while stroking his moustache. "we shall discuss that matter on the principality's airship."

"Angie!" Olivia now tries to go and save Angelica but was stopped by the Redgrave's daughter's female followers. "Angie! don't go!"

Angelica hears Olivia's cries as she turns and made a tearful smile to her friend.

"Livia…" Angelica whispers before she shed a single tear. "thank you."

"Angie!" Olivia cries out in tears as Angelica was then taken away by the Fanoss Dukedom's by the messenger and his cohorts to their airships.

Kira watches as Angelica gets taken away, the young man felt anger boiling in his heart because of how foolish the nobles on the ship are. His anger actually grew more when he finally realized how much the nobles on board the ship are all spoiled people and pathetic cowards.

The young man continues to get beaten up by Angelica's male followers as he retaliates when his patience ran out.

"get off me!" Kira shouted as he uses his inhuman genetic strength to push all three boys off his body.

Many were surprised as Kira gets up on his feet, a bit staggering as he stands up straight, but he had a very angered and fierce look on his face. This expression of his actually managed to scare some students who are trembling now.

"you people…." Kira spoke out a bit haggard but his eyes bore anger towards Angelica's male followers who looks a bit scared to see them. "I'll never forgive you!"

Thinking that they were in trouble, the male students raise their hands in defense but Kira's action against them never came because the young man fell to his knees before to the floor as he passed out from the loss of blood that had covered half of his face and mouth.

"Kira-san!" Olivia cries out as she went straight for him. "Kira-san? Kira-san!?"

As Olivia tries to see what injuries that Kira has, the male students just look in disgust at Kira.

"Everything could have gone to waste because of him." "piece of trash." "Hey, sailors. Toss this guy into a jail cell!"

"y-yes!" the sailors responded before they started to get close to Kira and take him away with Olivia following.

upon the airship attached on top of the whale monster, it is the airship that is the residential area for the Princess of the Fanoss Dukedom; Hertrude Sera Fanoss who is having tea with Angelica who was brought on board while surrounded by armed knights.

"It's been a while, Angelica." Hertrude spoke with a small smile while holding her cup of tea. "We had only been in a relationship where we simply exchanged greetings but meeting you again like this feels a bit nostalgic."

"Do you really plan to go to war with the national power of a principality?" Angelica replied with a fearless look on her face. "This matter won't end with just a skirmish."

In the history between the Holfort Kingdom and the Principality of Fanoss. There was a big difference between the two countries. One is that the Kingdom had greater strength that can overpower the dukedom.

'just what kind of goal do these people have in doing this?' Angelica looks at Hertrude while thinking of the reason for their invasion against the Kingdom. 'what they want to do by attacking with a fleet of this degree despite the difference in the national power?'

"Right. There is certainly a disparity in national strength." Hertrude spoke with a smile "However, have you not noticed the view outside?"

"So you're accompanied by monsters." Angelica spoke out "Are you going to win against the kingdom with that alone?"

"Yeah, we'll win. As for why…" Hertrude spoke before being interrupted by a man of nobility who seemed to wield authority.

"Your Highness, the matter of dealing with the hostages is more important." He spoke out as Hertrude nodded

"Oh right." She spoke with a small smile as it made Angelica tense up.

"So you'll set them free with my surrender?" Angelica asks, hoping that her sacrifice would let the other students be free.

"What a funny thing to say, Angelica." Hertrude giggles with a smirk. "Did Garrett ever once claim that we would let those people go?"

Angelica closed her eyes in response to what Hertrude said.

'So they're going to take the baron children and above as hostage, just like they originally planned.' She thought in grimace, apologizing to the students who she failed to protect.

"Here's what I think…" Hertrude spoke while looking away. "Perhaps you alone are sufficient for taking hostage."

"w-what?!" Angelica gasps in shock as she stood up and faces Hertrude with an angered face. "you fool! There are children of Barons and above! Are you thinking about killing them without taking them hostage?!"

Her actions and words got the knights to turn their swords towards her as she starting making an uproar.

"I heard that there were only two people who resisted when you were taking away, right?" Hertrude spoke while not bothered by Angelica's words. She chuckles as she slowly takes a sip of her tea. "How cruel such spineless people are. They are not worthy of being nobles."

"W-What are you talking…" Angelica spoke out in confusion.

"Angelica, I will show you everything that is to come." Hertrude spoke out while waving a hand to the side. "From henceforth, the kingdom shall perish.."

Angelica looks at Hertrude with a very grimaced face as she could've have imagined on how ambitious the Fanoss Dukedom wishes to destroy the Holfort Kingdom.

"send a messenger to the Kingdom's airship." Hertrude spoke out. "send the notice of their coming demise."

"yes." One knight replied before heading out of the room, but as he did; Canard came in with Luxion.

"so this is the only Hostage you got?" Canard spoke as he looks at Angelica with a small smirk. "I guess you were right in the Kingdom's nobles being cowards other than this one."

"did I not tell you?" Hertrude chuckles. "the nobles of the Holfort Kingdom are fools and cowards." She then looks at Angelica while motioning a hand towards Canard. "ah, to let you know on who this man is, Angelica. His name is Canard Pars; he is a mercenary that my Kingdom just hired to be my bodyguard. Also his familiar named Luxion."

"I am not Master's familiar, I am his supporting AI." Luxion stated as Angelica looks surprised at the talking metal orb but her attention is more focused on Canard himself.

'w-who is this person?' Angelica looks at Canard as she felt something familiar about him. 'his voice…it's similar with Kira but what is this feeling I'm getting from him?'

Noticing Angelica's stare, Canard looks and asks. "what are you looking at me for?" he crosses his arms. "it's like you never seen a person like me before."

"n-no…" Angelica spoke out. "y-you sound like someone I know."

"someone you know?" Canard spoke while having a curious yet sceptic look on Angelica. "what do you mean by that and who?"

"a friend of mine, Kira Fou Bartfort." Angelica replied as Canard looks even more curious than before.

'the name is similar, even if it just one sentences….' The man thought while crossing his arms. 'is it possible?'

"Canard, prepare to sortie out with my troops." Hertrude spoke out to Canard who glances at her direction. "I wish to see the despair of the Kingdom's nobles."

"my main job is to stay and protect you, not serve you." Canard stated with a sneer as he walks away with Luxion follows him. "you want to get those nobles to be despair, get your own troops to do it."

"rude in every moment, isn't he?" Hertrude spoke with a rather annoyed voice.

"very much." Angelica stated but her attention is more on why did Canard reminded her too much of Kira. 'just who is that man?'

On board the luxury liner and in a prison cell built within it.

There is Kira who is being tended of his wounds by Olivia who uses her healing magic.

"I'm sorry, Kira-san." Olivia spoke out while having tears running down her eyes and sniffling several times. "I tried to help Angie but…"

"it's alright." Kira said with a smile to his friend who finished healing him of his wounds. "you did your best. You should be proud of yourself."

Olivia nods as she sniffles before she glances to the side as Tori came and perched onto her right shoulder.

"Tori thinks so too." Kira said with a smile to see his mechanical pet bird that soon flies into the prison cell and perched to his outstretched right hand. "right, Tori?"

"Tori~!" Tori let out a single cry in reply.

Olivia sniffles and sobs a few times as she wipes her tears away.

"Kira-san, what should we do?" Olivia asks all sad. "Angie. She sacrificed herself for us and yet…"

"just be calm." Kira said with an assuring tone. "I promise that I'll save Angie and get her back."

"r-really?" Olivia asks and Kira just nods.

"really." Kira said before he looks away and had a seriously dark look. "but before I can do so, I need to get out."

"t-the key is kept by the sailors, and they won't give it to me no matter how much I begged." Olivia spoke out, her appearance is actually a bit tattered and dirty because the girl had tried her best to protect Kira while he was unconscious because many students who hate the young man tried to dispose of him by throwing him off the airship, but she and a few good students like Rukul stopped them. "maybe I should try and steal it?"

"don't, you are already injured as I wished to see you be." Kira told Olivia as he gets up and looks at the prison cell's bars. "I'll get out myself."

"eh?" Olivia looks at Kira all confused.

"do you have a hairpin that I can borrow?" Kira asks Olivia who nodded a bit dumbly before giving him a hairpin from her pocket.

Kira checks the prison cell's keyhole as he inserts the hairpin and moves it a few times before he twists it and the cell's door opens.

"h-how did you do that, Kira-san?" Olivia asks Kira who gets out of the cell and returns her hairpin.

"where I come from, their doors are heavily locked while this one is simple and easy to be picked and unlocked." Kira said as he adjusts his uniform a bit. He looks outside from a nearby window, seeing the monsters still surrounding the ship. "seems that they still want us to remain here." he then looks at Olivia. "go and prepare your belongings, Olivia. Once I get Angie back, I'll get the both of you away from this place."

"b-but what about the others?" Olivia asks. "there's about a hundred people on board and…"

"I could care less of their welfare." Kira stated as he had a dark look. "they let Angie be sacrificed for their own selfishness and therefore I can't even have the heart to care."

"but Kira-san! that's just…!" Olivia cries out, not wanting her friend to just save her and Angelica while leaving others to die.

"Bartfort!" Chris' voice is heard from down the hallway as Kira and Olivia turns to see him coming with hurried footsteps.

"what is it?" Kira asks, in a bit of a cold tone. The young man now sees nearly every student on board the ship as an enemy after what they did to him.

Chris looks a bit taken aback from hearing the tone of his voice but he adjusts his glasses and then said. "Bartfort. just a while ago, a messenger from the principality arrived. They said that Angelica alone was enough for taking hostage, and that we should prepare ourselves." He wipes a small bead of sweat on the side of his cheek. "They'll start attacking in an hour, and so it seems that in the end, we'll die as nobles."

"and? What of it?" Kira asks with a dark look at Chris. "should I care?"

"y-you should! There are lives at stake here!" The Turquoise haired young man replied while looking a bit frantic. "please! I know that you despise many for their actions to you, but please! I need you to help us!" he swung a hand to the side. "There are six units of Armors on board this ship! If we work together, we can buy some time to help the ship escape! I beg of you, Bartfort!"

Kira listens to Chris's words and when he hears the end of it, he just replied in a calm voice "No." he gets close and sends a dark look at the young man. "do you really believe I will fight for the people who are too selfish of themselves? Where were they and you when Angie sacrificed herself to protect all of you? You call yourselves honorable nobles of the Holfort Kingdom yet you cower in fear when danger comes near. Well? Any complaints on that?"

Chris looks nervous and guilty for a moment, but he keeps on pressing forward.

"please, we need your strength." Chris spoke out in a begging tone. "We can't let everyone die here. You can even just guard the airship. I'll remain behind and buy some time."

"Kira-san…" Olivia cries out in a small voice while tugging the sleeves of the young man's right arm. Begging him to help Chris and his plan.

Kira looks at Olivia for a moment before he looks back at Chris.

"the answer is still a no." Kira stated in his calm yet dark toned voice as he takes hold of Olivia's right hand and begins taking her away. "I will go and save Angie then I will take her and Livia away from this place." He glances at Chris. "and leave you people to die as the scums you are."

"K-Kira-san!" Olivia cries out, shocked that her friend would just wish to let others die while only saving her and Angie.

"I know that we are scum," Chris spoke out as he looks at Kira while placing a hand to his chest. "perhaps most of us deserve to perish by the Principality's invasion attack, but still!" he then bows his head. "there are those on board who are innocent! Please! I beg of you! please help us!"

Kira looks at Chris once again in silence as he ponders on whether or not he should help the people who wants him dead.

"Kira-san. please…" Olivia whispers in a pleading voice while frowning. "Angie would've asked you to do the same…"

Her mentioning on Angelica made Kira ponder about the red eyes blonde before he close his eyes and sighs.

"very well." Kira spoke as Chris and Olivia looks at the man with hopeful smiles. "but…" he opens his eyes and looks at the Turquoise haired young man. "you have to follow my orders if you wish to save everyone, understand?"

Chris looks hesitant for a moment, but he nodded his head while adjusting his glasses.

"first of all, gather all the students on board to the mess hall." Kira stated while pointing a finger at Chris. "there I will expose of the traitors who helped the Dukedom in finding our ship."

"t-traitors!? Who!?" Chris stated in shock.

"people who deserved to be called scum." Kira stated as he turns and walks away. "you have ten minutes to assemble everyone, Chris."

"g-got it." Chris spoke as he and Olivia looks a bit unnerved from Kira's dominating attitude. "that man…is he really the same Bartfort?"

"Kira-san…" Olivia frowns as she felt that Kira will always be a changed man when he is angered.

as Kira commanded, Chris got everyone to gather into the mess hall as everyone just whispers and chatters about their current predicament.

"what's going to happen to us now?" "I hate this! I wanna go home!" "I should've never come with!" their words just echoed in the room as most are being aggressive to one another but that is mostly coming from the girls with their demi-human servants who they abandoned and are trying to get them back but they refused no matter what.

Chris and Olivia stood before all the students by the top of some stairs, them seeing how the fear of being attacked by the Fanoss Dukedom has plagued their minds and actions.

"is this all of them?" Kira spoke out as he came to the two while wearing his Zaft Pilot suit and is armed with weapons like his gun, machine gun, and his dagger knife.

"y-yes." Chris nods while adjusting his glasses. "what now?"

"this." Kira said as he takes his gun and fired a shot to the ceiling, which got every people in the room to go silent and their attention on him. the young man holds his gun to his side and looks at the people before him. "listen up, you all shall fight the battle outside. That is all."

"t-that's your plan!?" Chris exclaimed at Kira who soon gets jeers from the people gathered in the room.

"Don't get carried away, first-year!" "Why are you bossing us around, huh!?" "like we care if you are a viscount now!" "In the first place, Angelica is the evil one! Didn't she just save only herself?" "How unbelievable for the daughter of a duke household!" the jeers echoed out loud before they went silent when Kira fires his gun at a girl who screams because the bullet nearly hits her.

"there is one of the traitor." Kira stated as he glares down at one girl who is one of Angelica's female followers. He then looks at another girl nearby. "and her comrade."

"b-but they are Angelica's followers!" Chris cried out. "why would they!?"

"the reasons doesn't matter." Kira said as he goes down the stairs and gets an opened path by the students who made way for him to go straight for the two girls who are looking afraid. "I already have proof of their involvement of the current situation."

"what?" Chris looks confused before he sees a group of female sailors coming near Kira while holding the cylindrical object that the two girls had used to send out the signal the days before.

"B-Bartfort-san, we found these in their rooms as you requested." One of the female sailors spoke while handing the cylindrical object to Kira who checks it out with a sceptic look on his face.

"a smoke signal." Kira spoke as he looks at the two girls who are even more scared now. "so you two really are the ones responsible for bringing the Principality of Fanoss to us."

Hearing his words, many people around the area started to speak in chatters and whispers.

"n-no! that's not ours!" one of the scared girls cried out. "that's just!" she didn't manage to finish her sentence because Kira went and slapped her face hard to the point she fell to the floor. "ugh!?"

"hey! Why did you!?" the other girl cried out, but she soon stops and looks in fear because Kira had his gun pointed right at her face. "iih!?"

"deny as much as you want." Kira spoke out as he glares darkly at the two girls. "you two are the traitors who caused this whole chaos to happen." he then glances at the female sailors. "take them to the prison cell."

"y-yes.." the female sailors replied as they moved and arrested the two girls who they soon bring away.

"h-hey!" a young man shouted as it is the same young man who is Angelica's male follower and is accompanied by the two others. "what do you think you're doing to them?! Those two are Milady Angelica's close playmates during their childhood! There's no way that they are behind all of this!"

"where is your proof?" Kira spoke out as he looks at the young man with a dark look. "I have my proof that they are behind this current event and I can without a doubt arrest them for it." he then points a finger at the man. "perhaps you are denying all of this because you are also in cahoots with them?"

"what?! no! I'm not behind all of this!" the young man shouted before he points a finger back at Kira. "maybe you're the one who is behind all of this! You are a foreigner and all!"

Now chatters are on Kira who just stares silently at the man after hearing his accusation.

"so this is how it comes, huh?" Kira spoke as he lowers his gun to the side and had a dark stare at the man. "blaming on the person who wishes to fight to protect you all?" he shakes his head while closing his eyes. "now I understand why Angie despise you people after what you did to her that night." He glances at the three boys. "you really are unforgivable scums."

"what did you say!?" the three boys got mad as they rushed at Kira, planning to take him down with their fists. Their actions were too rushed because they forgot about the young man who has weapons on him.

Kira watches them come as he dodges a punched fist from one boy who he gave a hit on the head with the bottom of his gun before he goes and did a right hook punch to another who he soon trips with a foot and lastly gave a sucker punch to the last boy who got his nose punched hard and is now bleeding badly.

"w-why you!?" the first boy grunted as he tried to get up, but Kira instantly kicks his face hard. "ugh!?"

"do you believe you are in the right after how you abandoned Angie that night? Do you believe you can do whatever you want after letting Angie sacrifice herself for you?" Kira spoke while stomping his foot on the young man's face. "and do you believe that you have the right to say such blasphemy words on her after abandoning her once again?" he put more pressure on his foot. "this is your own karma."

Kira pulls his foot off as he grabs the man's collar and lifts him up, only to get punched hard on the face to the point that a tooth fell out.

"K-Kira-san! that's enough!" Olivia cries out but her plea fell death on Kira's ears, the young man proceeds to heavily injure the other male followers who he brutally punched them on their faces several times.

Not having his limits, Kira went as far as to throw one boy straight to the bar where he crashed with the bottles of alcohol falling off the shelves.

"sailors." Kira calls out to the staff members of the ship. "take them away to the prison cells with those two girls." He looks down at one boy who is breathing heavily while his face is battered up. "let these traitors rot together."

The sailors doing as Kira commanded, quickly takes the three boys away from the room.

Kira went back to Chris and Olivia who looks a bit scared because the young man now has blood dipping and covered his gloves.

"the rest of you are to fight as I commanded." Kira stated as he looks at the rest of the people before him. he held his gun and fired another shot into the ceiling that made Olivia yelp in fear. "deny and you shall share the same fate as those traitors."

"never!" a girl voiced out as many looks at the girl who is the blonde curly hair in the shape of drills. The girl's name is Deirdre Fou Roseblade, daughter of the Earl Roseblade. She comes walking up towards Kira while holding a closed fan in hand. "you believe you can order us around with such cruelty!? I will never bow to such insolence!"

"Deirdre Fou Roseblade, correct?" Kira said as he looks at the third year senior alike with Clarice herself. "and why do you believe that I cannot do so?"

"are you a fool!?" Deirdre exclaimed as she pointed her folded fan at Kira. "as much as this is a battle, I am a noble who is a great descendant of the Roseblade Adventurers! As the daughter of my father; Earl Roseblade. I refuse to heed the command of such people like you!"

"you refuse my orders and you speak that you are a descendant of a great adventurer?" Kira spoke before he scoffs and looks away. "what a farce you are."

"What did you say!?" Deirdre exclaimed angrily.

"I said that you are a farce." Kira stated a bit mockingly at his senior. "if you are really a great noble of such a great noble family. Where were you when the Angie represented herself as a hostage for them?" he tilts his head to the side. "perhaps you are the great descendant of great adventurers of the past, but you are nothing alike with them." He hardens his gaze. "you are only a sham, a coward who holds onto their names just to boast about it." he points a finger at Roseblade daughter who is looking red in furiousness. "face the truth, Deirdre Fou Roseblade. You are only a sham of your so called great lineage."

"H-How rude!" Deirdre exclaimed. "don't you know how my household's great efforts for the Kingdom!?"

"and should I care?" Kira replied with a dark look. "what's the use of honoring a great household if its descendants, it's heirs are nothing but cowards and spoiled children?"

"s-spoiled!?" Deirdre fumes in anger as she points her closed fan at Kira. "Don't get cocky, lowly baron! "I am not a coward! I am!" Deirdre cries out but stops when Kira grabs her by the collar and pulls her close. "ugh!?"

"you are a coward because you let Angie; a noble of a falling Duke household, sacrifice herself for the sake of others. her actions are noble unlike your actions which is just to stand around and be scared" Kira stated as he stares directly at Deirdre's eyes. "you say that you are from a proud and noble household? Then you should've proved it by sacrificing your prestige for others!" he looks at the others. "you call yourself great nobles of great households! Households that housed great adventurers of the past!" he then points his finger out. "but their descendants are just cowards!"

His words got many to become infuriated.

"I fought in a war when I am the same age as the rest of you, and I fought no matter how hard it is!" Kira exclaimed. "day and night! I kept on fighting till I was soaked in blood! I fought my homeland's war with great honor and nobility that are alike with the great adventurers of the past!" he pushes Deirdre away and then raises his fist. "none of you have their bravery! All of you who are descendants of those great adventurers have just let yourself be afraid! You let others take the fall in order to feel secured and relieved! You let Angelica take the fall while allowing yourself to be safe yet Karma returns to take you down to your deaths!"

More infuriated faces are seen by many students who looks very pissed now.

"Each and every one of you are cowards amongst cowards!" Kira stated before he scoffed. "or rather…you're not even great enough to qualify as cowards." He smirks a bit. "You're just pretentious, fake nobles."

"Take that back!" Deirdre shouted while looking very angry. "I won't allow you to say such blasphemy to my ancestors!"

"then fight." Kira stated as he looks at Deirdre. "you believe I am the only one who is mocking your ancestors?" he looks at the crowd. "do you believe that I am mocking your ancestors because I wished to?" he chuckles a bit while shaking his head as he looks at the people with a small smirk. "I only say this because it is what the Fanoss Dukedom are saying."

"it's what the Dukedom is saying?" Chris whispers as he looks very confused. "just why is Bartfort.." he soon realized something and gasps a little. "Bartfort….you."

"you believe that I am saying such blasphemy because I wished to!?" Kira exclaimed before he points a finger to a nearby window that showed the Fanoss Dukedom's forces outside. "you are wrong, I am only repeating what the enemies are saying! They attack us because they believe you all are cowards! Fools! Spoiled brats! They say such mockery because they see you all as cowards who are unlike your great and proud ancestors! Your mighty forefathers who are great adventurers!" he points a finger at the people. "do you want me to say more of what they thought of you all!? do you!?"

"like hell we do!" "you think you can run your mouth like that?!" "you little piece of shit!" jeers of complaints filled with anger and rage echoed out.

"if you don't want to make a mockery of your ancestors!" Kira exclaimed as he raise his rifle up into the air. "then fight and make them pay for it!"

With that, cheers of anger and fury are unleashed into the mess hall as Kira somehow got all the students to be angered beyond their limits, but their anger that was on him is now focused on the Fanoss Dukedom instead.

Kira looks at them before to Chris and Olivia who came near him.

"Bartfort, you were actually…" Chris whispers before he shakes his head. "no, never mind." He smiles a bit. "I can never truly understand how your mind works."

Kira merely nodded to him once before he came face to face with Deirdre who came near him.

"Since you've said this much, you naturally have something thought out, right?" Deirdre spoke out, understanding what Kira just did. "That talk about being genuine nobles was done in order to break the deadlock, no?"

"indeed." Kira said with a nod before he looks at the people. "listen! We shall go with a full frontal attack against the enemy forces! We take the fight to them!"

His words made the people around to raise their voices, all saying that if he was being serious to which got Deirdre to laugh all proudly.

"Sounds good. You're quite something!" Deirdre laughs with a big smile while opening her fan and held it by her mouth. "so our plan is to take the action in attacking the Fanoss Dukedom. So what will you be doing in allowing such actions, hmm? you'll have quite the active role, right?"

"I do." Kira said as he placed his weapons away. "I shall go and take the vanguard role with an airbike that I brought on board."

"An air bike?! Are you planning to get yourself killed?!" Deirdre exclaims in shock. "the enemy have monsters, airships, and armors! Against that overwhelming force….!"

"there's someone I must save." Kira stated. "I will go through against the enemies to save her no matter what.

"why do you even go that far for Angelica?" Deirdre asks. "you're not even her follower."

"I made a vow to be Angie's sword and shield that night I became her representative in the duel." Kira stated as he turns to the side. "I will save her no matter what." he glances at Deirdre. "unlike you and the rest of the women on board this ship, she is a truly honorable, noble, and beautiful woman who I will save because I am her friend and her knight."

His reply got Deirdre to bite her thumb's nail.

"That's the first time someone told me that some other woman was good!" Deirdre exclaimed in frustration. "and to think that it came from a foreigner like you!"

Kira huffs a bit before he checks the time on his wristwatch.

'already 30 minutes?' he sees the time as there is only 30 minutes before the Fanoss Dukedom launches their attack.

"Chris, take command of the students who will volunteer using the Armors on board this ship." Kira told Chris. "get into a defensive position." He points a finger to the floor. "protect this ship from the incoming monsters, understand?"

"r-right!" Chris nods as Kira looks at everyone around him.

"there is only 30 minutes before the enemy goes on the attack!" Kira exclaimed. "Prepare your weapons and magic! Fight till they regret making a mockery of your ancestors!"

"RIGHT!" "HELL YEAH!" "LET'S MAKE THOSE BASTARDS EAT SHIT!" The academy's students showed determination. Enthusiasm circulated throughout the hall, and the students began to move in a frenzy.

"you really are interesting.." Deirdre spoke out as Kira looks at her and sees that she has a crescent shaped smile and while having a face that looks rather unwell to his taste. "you have such brazen attitude! Such hostility like a wolf!" she shivers and had goosebumps all over her body. "ah~! how enjoyable would it be if you were my lover instead of being Angelica's followers~!"

"I'll take that as a compliment." Kira said while looking a bit awkward to his senior.

"Kira-san." Olivia calls out to the man who turns towards her. "w-what should I do?"

"stay and ensure that everyone will be healed of their injuries in the coming battle." Kira told her while patting her head and having a small smile. "while I go and save Angie no matter the cost."

Olivia nods with a smile as Kira patted her head a few more times before he goes away.

As Kira walks away, he let out a sigh that he didn't know he had been keeping.

"looks like the plan worked." Hachi spoke to Kira on his earpiece communicator. "riling them up and using their anger to be focused on the enemy got their spirits up as predicted."

"let's hope that it works and only for this one time." Kira said as the young man had been acting on being mocking and insulting to all the students, except when he bashed against Angelica's male followers who he injured with pure hostility. Everything he said was all scripted by Hachi who speaks to him on his communicator, telling him on what he needs to do to get all the scared students to become brave adventurers alike with their forefathers. "I don't think I can handle another thing like it."

"I can understand that." Hachi replied. "also, the Blue Hawk's engine is warmed up and its weapons are loaded. It's prepped for launch."

"thanks, Hachi." Kira said as he quickly goes to the storage facility of the airship where he finds a blue and white Airbike which is his. the vehicle being the gift from Bernard Fia Atlee that he got a few days back and had customized to his liking with the help of his AI friend. "can you get a lock on where Angie is?"

"she is onboard the airship that is attached to the whale like Monster." Hachi replies as Kira gets his helmet on and gets on the airbike before the doorway started to slide open. "seems that it is heavily guarded by monsters and enemy Armors."

"are our weapons enough for this battle?" Kira asks as he pulls the throttle of the Airbike a few times, getting the engine to roar a few times.

"they are." Hachi replied. "I have outfitted the Blue Hawk with most of Archangel's weaponry that I have minimized and customized for the situation. The fire power won't be as devastating but it will be powerful enough against Monsters and the enemy Armors."

"good." Kira said with a nod before he sees the doorway now fully opened and he sees the Monsters and enemy robots awaiting him outside. He presses a button on the side of his helmet that slides down the visor and he grips hold of his ride's control rods. "Kira Yamato, Blue Hawk Launching!"

He pulls the throttle and his Airbike's thrusters ignited before going full power in launching the vehicle straight into the battlefield.

meanwhile at the Dukedom's main airship, there is Hertrude and Angelica. Both are now waiting for the time to come for the Fanoss Empire to attack the luxury liner.

"in mere seconds, your kingdom's foolish nobles will fall, Angelica." Hertrude spoke out as Angelica looks incredibly frustrated while she grasps her skirt.

BANG! BOOM! BANG!

Loud explosions and gunshots are soon heard from outside as this got their attention.

"what was that?" Hertrude spoke out before an explosion hits the side of the airship that made it shake and rumble. "wha!?"

Angelica steadies herself before she goes near the window and sees what is occurring outside.

"K-Kira?" Angelica gasps in shock as she sees Kira on his airbike that is launching out mini missiles and bullets from machineguns on the front frame. "w-why?"

"just a single airbike is making such a racket?" Hertrude comes near as she looks surprised at what she is seeing. "must be a foolish noble wanting death."

BOOM!

The airship shook again as this time from an explosion directly to the monster it is attached to.

"what in the world?!" Hertrude looks confused and shocked for a moment before she checks the outside and gasps in surprise when she saw the Luxury liner coming straight for them. "they're coming here for a frontline attack!? Are they mad!?" she turns towards a maid nearby. "The magic flute, quickly!"

Angelica merely watches Kira taking down the enemy monsters and the enemy Armors with just his Airbike. The girl can't believe how stupidly brave of him to be in such a battle.

"you fool!" Angelica cries out in tears. "if you had that much bravery and strength, why didn't you use it to save everyone else?! Why!?"

She soon hears a strange noise as she sees that it is Hertrude who is playing on a black flute that is a magic item controlling the large number of monsters in the sky which are now going on the attack against the Luxury Liner.

"So that's the trump card of the principality." Angelica said after wiping away her tears.

"That's right." Hertrude said after finished using the flute. The black haired princess having a smirk. "With this, the difference in numbers has been overturned. The kingdom will fall."

Angelica looks hard at Hertrude for her bold words, she felt like it was a losing battle for them but when she saw Kira fighting outside; she changed her mind of it.

"you are wrong!" Angelica exclaimed as she swung her hand to the side. "The nobles of the kingdom don't give up. Just as you wanted, they came to show their stubbornness." She then points a finger at Hertrude. "and their most prominent knight has come as the vanguard! Remember his name! he is Kira Fou Bartfort!"

"Bartfort…" Hertrude whispers the name before turning to the side when Garrett came near.

"It is indeed a bad thing to give up." Garrett smirks while combing his mustache several times. He then smirks "However, this ends here."

As Garrett said that, the principality's fleet arranged itself to surround the airship. They arranged in a figure eight so that their allies wouldn't come under their fire.

Monsters surrounded the airship and cannons were pointed at Kira.

"killing the monsters that I had collected…" Hertrude glared at Garrett and said. "How underhanded."

"It's all for the sake of victory, your Highness." Garrett chuckles before he points a finger up. "Besides, we can obtain as many monsters as we want."

As Garrett made an ominous smile, the monsters rushed towards the luxury liner and hundreds of cannons fired at Kira.

"Kira! Livia!" Angelica shrieked against the monster-involved bombarding, the luxury liner gets hit with the attacks as it was instantly engulfed with black smoke.

The Duke's daughter just looks in horror to the airship being engulfed in the smoke as she feared the worse.

"Kira…Livia…" Angelica cries out in despair as she believed that her friends are gone.

"that should do it…" Garrett chuckles before he saw something that made him gasp. "what in the world?!"

Angelica looks confused to his reaction as she looks out and gasps with wide eyes because she sees a goldenish yellow magic barrier surrounding the luxury liner in the shape of a large ball.

"t-that is?" Angelica spoke out in utter surprise.

Some minutes earlier, on the luxury liner.

The students and staff of the airship are giving it their all to fight for their lives as they did anything possible. Use the weapons on board to kill the monsters that came near, use their magic to fire against the incoming enemies, they just did whatever they can to fight.

In one area of the deck, there is Olivia who is currently using her magic to heal an injured sailor of his wounds.

"Are you alright?" Olivia asked in a worried voice

"I-I'm fine." The sailor replied as he had been on the arm by a monster that had been killed by a schoolboy who wielded a spear and is currently fighting alongside the others.

That monster had been killed with a spear by a schoolboy.

"leave the weak ones to me! protect the girls at all costs!" The spear-wielding boy shouted.

The girls are actually the only ones using their magic to attack the monsters while also making barriers to protect the ship.

"Disappear!" Deirdre appears as she swung her fan to the back and then to the front. "ROSE HURRICANE!" A burst of wind filled with roses was unleashed as the attack minced nearby monsters that were turned into black smoke as the result of the attack.

The battle on the deck is as harsh as the battle that is led by Chris and a couple of students piloting mobile Armors.

"take over to the left flank! Leave the right flank to me!" Chris commanded as his Armor wields a sword that sliced a dolphin monster in half before it explodes into black smoke. "do not let them come near the ship!"

"roger!" his teammates replied as they went on the attack against the monsters while defending the ship if one tries to get too close.

Chris keeps on cutting down the monsters before he sees the formation of the enemy's airships.

"Hey, there are cannons facing us!" "They're surrounding us!" "How are we going to blow away all of these monsters?!" the students on the luxury liner cries out because they saw the airships of the principality readying their artilleries. They turned to their side, letting rows of cannons face the luxury liner.

"no…" Olivia's breathing became rough when she saw the enemy's weapons aimed at their ship. She clutches her chest with both hands, not knowing that her white orb charm is slowly glowing a faint light. "no…." the enemy ships soon fires their cannons and cause her to scream while unleashing a bright goldenish yellow light. "NO!"

The light shines brightly and creates the magic barrier that protects the ship.

Olivia's light astonishes the students and sailors who sees it.

"W-What!?" "Hey! The monsters are being pushed back!" "No way! We weren't hit by any of the cannonballs!" The people around began to make a clamor.

Olivia took deep breaths, spread her arms out, and opened her eyes wide, causing several magic circles to appear around her.

"Now you'll see what I'm capable of!" she cries out and the white orb fastened to her wrist emitted a strong light.

The light that surrounds the ship soon creates dozens of magic circle that soon unleashes beams that swirls and twists in piercing through the monsters that gets killed in an instant.

The sailor Olivia healed looked up at her in astonishment. "Y-You're quite amazing."

After turning around and smiling, Olivia then faced forward and saw Kira's figure.

"Go, Kira-san! save Angie!" Olivia cries out. "I'll protect the ship no matter the cost!"

As if her voice reached Kira who is almost miles away on his Airbike, the Ultimate Coordinator looks at the ship and sees the light that covers and shields it.

"was that Livia's work?" Kira asks as he had just dodged the attacks from the enemy airships and their monsters with his airbike's weaponry. "did she protect the ship?

"yes. analysis shows that the charm that she wears is somehow amplifying her magic power to allow such phenomena to occur." Hachi reported as the AI has its drone still on board the airship and is scanning Olivia and her powers. "it is very illogical to understand the fundamental of that charm's capabilities and her magic."

"I can agree with that." Kira nods before he focuses on the enemy monsters and airships coming his way. "Hachi, let's go and save Angie."

"roger." Hachi replied as Kira pulls the throttle on his airbike a few times before the engine unleashes full power in making him zoom through the enemy lines.

The flying monsters growl and roars as each one goes straight for Kira. Planning to bite him into pieces or eat him whole.

"deploying 20mm Igelstellung, and 10mm Anti Aircraft missiles." Hachi spoke as the Blue Hawk has two machine guns appearing out of its bottom and top wings while also opening its front frame that has a missile pod extending out. Kira presses a button on his control switch as the weapons instantly fired at the monsters that got killed when the attacks destroyed them.

The weapons keep on firing as Kira maneuvers the Blue Hawk that flies in swirls, zigzag, and circular movement while it flies straight for the large whale monster.

"Hachi, get ready." Kira spoke as he presses a few buttons on the screen of his controls that made the words '3D Virtual Hologram System Activated' to appear. "Take the control to draw all the monsters away."

"roger that." Hachi replied as Kira gets up and stands on the seat of his airbike while his backpack opens the two rods and soon unleashes thrusts of air that propels him into the air.

The Airbike flew away from Kira who flies straight to the side of the whale monster that is focused on the flying vehicle because it sees the pilot that materializes from a beam of light coming from the control screen.

The monster has its attention to the flying airbike and not to Kira who is slowly climbing up its side and going straight for the airship attached to its back.

"wait for me, Angie." Kira muttered as he uses his backpack and flies straight up while keeping a low profile to watching eyes.

Back in the monster's airship, Angelica held herself against the wall because its driver; the monster is making it shake a lot as it chases after Hachi and the Blue Hawk.

"What an uncomfortable ride this airship provides!" Angelica exclaimed. "so rough and shaky!"

"what did you say?!" Hertrude exclaimed while furrowing her brows. "isn't it cute how it moves around!?"

"And just how is it cute?!" Angelica exclaimed. "Do you have rotten eyes?"

The whale monster keeps on shaking the airship as Angelica and Hertrude hangs on.

Meanwhile, Garrett who is nearby hears a whisper of a report from a subordinate of his. the mustached man soon smiles while chuckling.

"It seems that the man in the vanguard has retreated" Garrett spoke while chuckling. "he attempted to come and save you but fled when the monsters surrounds him."

Hearing his words, Angelica frowns in worry for Kira as she knows that he is strong but there is no way for anyone to face such a horde of monsters and enemy Armors.

"What a stupid man." Garrett chuckles while combing his mustache. "To think he would charge forward by himself." He waves a hand to the side while still smiling. "Well, let's record his name into the principality's history. We can write him off as a fool who faced us alone and died in vain." He soon laughs. "for him to die at such a young age! The kingdom must have been short on talented people! What a vast difference compared to the principality!"

Angelica just held a hand to her chest in worry as she felt guilty to let Kira be in such a battle.

CLANG CLANG!

The sound of a metal object hitting the floor is heard as everyone looks and sees a silverish black can rolling on the floor before it expands and unleashes white smoke.

"w-what in the world?!" Garrett exclaimed as he held a hand to his mouth, thinking that the smoke is tear gas or poisonous gas.

"ugh!" "agh!" "ggaaahh!" screams of pain are heard from around Garrett who sees his subordinates disappearing into the smoke one by one.

"hey! Where are you all going!?" Garrett exclaimed, not knowing that there is a shadowed figure appearing in the smoke while just standing behind him. "what is going on?" A finger tap got the man's attention as he turns and gets a powerful sucker punch to the face that sends him flying. "bugeeeh!"

Garrett crashes to a table as this mysterious attack caused many remaining fanoss soldiers to become utterly confused.

"what is going on here?!" Hertrude exclaimed, becoming extremely panicked from the surprising and confusing situation.

KA-CLICK!

Hertrude tenses up before slowly glancing to her back as Kira appears while holding his gun to her left Dorsum, right at where her heart is.

"move an inch from your position and your heart will have an irreparable hole in it." Kira spoke out as his voice sounds threatening while his identity is not been seen because his helmet's visor is tinted.

"Kira!" Angelia cries out with a happy smile, thankful to see her friend.

The smoke from the canister soon blows away and disperses as the room is now revealed to be filled with unconscious and injured knights and soldiers who were taken out by Kira himself.

"just how did you get here?" Hertrude spoke as she had a bead of sweat sliding down the side of her cheek. The Fanoss Dukedom's princess couldn't understand how did an enemy slipped in unnoticed. "my monsters should've had attacked you the moment you got on board."

Angelica is also curious as she wondered how Kira got on board and the answer was known when she saw an opened ventilation shaft that has its lid just hanging around before falling with a loud clang.

"it was a mistake to let your monsters be your guards. They couldn't tell a decoy from the real one." Kira replies while slowly making Hertrude move to the window where Angie is nearby. "Angie, I have a pair of cuffs to my back waist. Can you take and place them on our hostage here?"

"got it." Angelica nods as she did as Kira asked.

"you're making light of us, Holfort Kingdom's Knight." Hertrude spoke as she looks at Kira while her hands were cuffed behind her back. "before you are killed, may I have the honor of knowing your name?"

Kira looks at Hertrude while his gun was pointed elsewhere and fired a shot that made a nearby maid yelp in pain because she was holding a gun that was shot and destroyed.

"best if you do not stall for time, Princess Hertrude." Kira spoke as he looks to the maid and sees the magic flute dropped on the floor. "a flute?"

"that's the Dukedom's trump card that allows them to control the monsters." Angelica explained to Kira. "we should take it with us so that they can't use it to get those monsters to swarm us."

"agreed" Kira nods as he goes and takes the flute but was soon intercepted by Canard who appears from a swung open doorway. "wha!?"

Canard held a gun as he fired several shots at Kira who barrel rolled to dodge, he hides behind a couch and covers himself from the enemy fire while Angelica got down with Hertrude to avoid a misfired bullet.

"Kira! Be careful! That guy is Princess Hertrude's bodyguard!" Angelia cries out to Kira who hides from the fired gunshots.

Kira looks at Canard from his hiding spot as he sees him getting ready for another attack.

"hey, you. The one wearing the red pilot suit. Get out." Canard called out as he had a hard gaze at Kira. "I got some questions for you."

"and what would that be?" Kira asks while slowly reaching for a flash grenade on the side of his waist.

"that suit of yours, it is a ZAFT special suit given to ace pilots." Canard spoke out as he keeps an eye to where Kira is. "are you from ZAFT?"

"you know about ZAFT?" Kira spoke as he held his flash grenade in hand. "why do you know about ZAFT? Are you from ZAFT?"

"like hell I am." Canard retorted. "I'm from the Earth Alliance forces, or rather I am formerly from the Earth Alliance Forces and also the Eurasian Federation." He grips his gun while still aiming for Kira who he awaits to make a wrong move for him to shoot at him. "but now I'm a mercenary hired by the Fanoss Dukedom to protect the princess there."

Kira hardens his gaze as this is the first time, he is having a conversation with someone who knows about ZAFT or the Earth Alliance forces in this world.

"Why do you know about ZAFT? Or the Earth Alliance Forces?" Kira called out. "are you also like me? did you came to this land through unknown methods?"

"so you're also the same as me, huh?" Canard spoke with a rather mixed emotional look. "get out and face me so that we can talk."

"I'll do so if you lower your weapon." Kira replied while gripping hold of his flash grenade. "if you don't do what I request, I won't do as you requested."

Hearing Kira's demands, Canard merely laughs.

"you think I'm stupid enough to fall for that?! I know you got something prepped in your hands!" Canard exclaimed. "you want to have peace in conversations? What are you? One of those Junkers?"

"Junkers?" Kira spoke as it took him a moment to realize who Canard is referring to. "you mean Junk Guild!?"

"yeah.." Canard replies with a smirk. "I once fought and captured their so-called Ace Pilot, the one piloting the red-looking fake gundam."

"Red-looking Gund…Lowe!?" Kira whispers before his eyes widen and he quickly jumps out while pointing his gun at Canard who did the same. "what did you do to Lowe!? If you hurt him.."

"the guy is alive and I don't got him anymore." Canard replied with a huff. "he and his crew escaped my grasps without a scratch, but my ship on the other hand…" he looks down and grumbles a bit. "I'll make that pilot and his crew pay for the damages the next time I meet them…"

Kira let out a small sigh of relief knowing that his friend is alive and safe, but he still is curious about some other things from Hertrude's bodyguard.

"you said that you were from the Earth Alliance Force and the Eurasian Federation." Kira spoke. "are you…"

"a Coordinator." Canard interrupts Kira while smirking. "and not just any regular Coordinator."

"what do you mean by that?" Kira asks.

"I'm the best kind of a Coordinator." Canard replies all proudly before his gaze turns dark and his tone turn bitter and filled with anger. "that is….until 'he' gets out of the picture."

Kira looks confused as he wanted to ask some more but something tells him that Canard won't talk anymore.

Their little conversation got the attention of Angelica and Hertrude, the latter being a bit confused because she knows her Bodyguard is not that talkative to her or anyone but here he is talking to the enemy like he is an old friend.

There is now a tense atmosphere in the room as Angelica and Hertrude just watches Kira and Canard who are at a distant standstill to each other.

Kira breathes a bit heavily as he waits for Canard's movement while gripping hold his Grenade in his other hand.

"a modified and customized Flash Grenade that is compact and portable" Luxion spoke as the metal floating orb appears near Kira while looking at the grenade in his hand. "how very interesting to see such a weapon in this current age."

"what the!?" Kira looks surprised at the appearance of the metal sphere as he thought that it was a drone carrying a bomb which causes him to roll to the side while quickly throwing his flash grenade at Canard who fires at it with his gun.

The bullet hits the canister and cause it to explode in a bright and loud flash.

"cover your eyes!" Kira shouted.

"ugh!?" Angelica and Hertrude closes their eyes and so did Canard.

The flash lasted for at least 20 seconds as it dies down later on.

Canard had his eyes close as he slowly opens them and shakes his head a few times.

"you little…" Canard groans as he felt himself a bit dizzy for a moment.

Before he knew it, Kira came rushing in and tried to punch his lights out, but Canard quickly dodged and did a counter that the Ultimate Coordinator dodged.

Both began to try and take each other out with their fists and kicks.

Kira did his best, but he is not too experienced in hand to hand combat, he tried to use his weapons to disable or subdue Canard but the man prevents him from doing so by kicking his gun and rifle away when he tried to use them.

Both kicks and punches at each other but each attack gets defended and blocked and soon both got into a stalemate where both gripped each other's hands in a power fight that ended when Canard quickly knees Kira on the gut and then proceeds to give a powerful strong right hook to the helmet that fell off the Ultimate Coordinator's head while he falls.

The helmet falls to the floor with a few thumps before rolling side to side near Angelica.

Kira grunted as he felt in pain from receiving the knee to the gut from Canard who slowly come close while rubbing his right fist that had punched the helmet.

"for an ace pilot of Zaft, you've been slacking in hand to hand combat training." Canard spoke with a small smirk while Luxion came floating near his shoulder. "can't remember the last time I had a fight with some Zaft soldiers that ended with them getting dead in the end…."

Canard stops in his place as his eyes widen when he sees Kira's face being revealed after his helmet fell off.

"you…that face…" Canard felt something very peculiar about Kira when he saw his face, he sensed something that just nags him from the back of his mind about something wrong while his gut is telling him otherwise. "are you…"

Kira grunts as he slowly gets up and faces Canard.

"just who are you?" Kira spoke before he looks at Luxion. "and that drone of yours…"

"I am not a drone, I am an Artificial Intelligence by the name of Luxion." The floating metal sphere spoke as it adjusts its red one eyed lense that focuses on Kira. "I am a servant of my Master; Canard Pars who is a last surviving member of the old humans."

"old humans?" Kira whispers.

"shut up, Luxion. Don't talk when I'm going to talk." Canard told the metal ball as he steadies his gun's aim at Kira. "this guy is alike with me, he's from the same world that I came from. I want to get answers from him."

'from the same world as he? What does that mean?' Angelica had watched the fight and listened to the entire conversation as she is peculiarly interested in what is Canard saying. 'he's from the same world as Kira? Would that mean he is from the same land as he is?'

"you know about ZAFT, the Earth Alliance Forces, and the Eurasian Federation." Kira spoke as he had a steady stance towards Canard. "if you're really from the same land as I am, how did you came to this land? Were you a pilot fighting any side during the battle of Genesis?"

"Genesis? That death weapon made by ZAFT? You fought in that battle, huh?" Canard spoke. "I don't know what happened to that battle, I just heard that it was occurring crazy in the sky of space. I was doing something else and I got caught in an explosion before I came to this world all the sudden. That is all I know."

"so not even you know how you came to be in this world…" Kira whispers.

"enough talking from you." Canard spoke while slowly picking up his gun on the floor. "what I want to hear from you is your name." he takes his weapon and points it at Kira. "say your name. I want to hear it."

Kira looks confused for a moment before he complied with Canard's demand.

"Kira Fou Bartfort." Kira spoke out.

"and what's your real name?" Canard stated, knowing that Kira's current name is just a temporary one given to him. "what is the name you have before you came to this land?"

Kira was about to speak to Canard when he hears a few beeps from his earpiece communicator that receives a call from Hachi.

"get down, Kira!" the AI exclaimed as Kira quickly goes down and confuses Canard who soon realizes that the Ultimate Coordinator's Airbike is floating near the glass window while having its weapon readied.

"Luxion!" Canard shouted before a bombardment of bullet shells fired from the Blue Hawk that destroyed the window and the wall around it.

"aaahhh!" Angelica screams a bit because she didn't understand what was going on.

The Blue Hawk keeps on firing its machine guns repeatedly as it made a hole that connects the room to the vast sky outside.

Almost a minute of bullet firing, the Blue Hawk stops firing as its machine gun had overheated and needs to cool down.

"Kira! Hurry! You can't hope to win against that guy!" Hachi told Kira who quickly grabs his helmet, puts it on, before he went and got Angelica and Hertrude out of the place.

The three got on board the Blue Hawk as Angelica sat behind Kira who has Hertrude in front of him.

"hang on!" Kira exclaimed as he grabs the controls and pulls the throttle a few times to ignite the thrusters of the Air Bike that zooms off into the distance.

As Kira made his rescue escape, Canard appears unharmed as Luxion had created a barrier that protected him.

"so he has an AI of his own." Canard said in anger as he goes and sees that Kira had ride his airbike off to a great distance. "his was waiting for the right time to strike.." he looks back at Luxion. "how did you not detect that other AI coming?!"

"unable to detect because of the AI's peculiarly unique yet strange firewall protection program." Luxion replied while its red eye lense had its inner gear spin around repeatedly. "I had told you before that the AI had detected could not be revealed of its current location because of its firewall."

"An AI that can be detected but at the same time cannot…" Canard spoke as he thought of it before he realized that only one such AI exists. He hardens his gaze while looking angered. "those Junkers' AI…"

"What shall we do now, Master?" Luxion asks Canard. "the Princess has been kidnapped yet the forces will still continue to attack even though she is the enemy's hostage. What course of action you shall be taking next?"

"I didn't learn of that guy's real name, but his face is the same as the guy I want to kill." Canard spoke as he looks at the battle in the distance. "I want to see that guy in action." he turns and walks away. "if that guy came to this world, he must've found one himself." He hardens his gaze while clenching his fists. "he must have a Gundam with him."

In the sky, Kira rides his airbike with his passengers on board as he did his best to get them straight to the Luxury Liner.

"Hachi, did you know who that Canard Pars is?" Kira spoke to his AI partner. "he said that he once captured Lowe and the Junk Guild crew in the past, is it true?"

"Everything is true." Hachi replied to Kira. "That Canard Pars person. For some reason, you are his main target!"

"What? why?" Kira asks in confusion. "Why is a former soldier from the Eurasia Federation even after me?"

"I don't know, but that Canard Pars is obsessed with finding you from how he always demands anyone he come across with, your own name every time!" Hachi replied as Kira got more confused.

"Wait a second…" Kira whispers as he thought about that one moment before the escape. Canard demanded to know his real name as this made him feel a bit of relief that he didn't say his true name. "if he knew my real name…"

"He's a very dangerous man, Kira!" Hachi exclaimed as the AI made a few beeps and the screen on the Airbike's Controller shows the information about Canard Pars; albeit a bit less complete. "that guy piloted a Gundam Type mobile suit and Lowe couldn't even defeat him at all! he's very strong, Kira!"

"I guess you're right.." Kira spoke while remembering the hand to hand fight that he had with Canard.

"Kira, who are you talking to?" Angelica asks in hearing Kira's words. The girl looking very confused. "who is this Hachi?"

"a friend who is coming to help." Kira replied in a small lie to Angelica. "I contacted him before I came to rescue you. He's coming to this battle with backup."

"I see…" Angelica nods with a small smile. "you really came prepared, didn't you?"

Kira nods back before he felt a bit of a pinch on his right arm from Angelica.

"but I still can't understand why is she on your lap" Angelica spoke in a slightly dark tone to Kira as she is referring to how Hertrude is protectively held on the Airbike by the young man's arms. "why couldn't you have her on the back and me at the front!?"

"b-but there wasn't enough time when we were escaping." Kira replies while looking confused. "and she's the hostage that we can't afford to just jump off the Blue Hawk while we are escaping." He blinks his eyes twice and just made a very confused face. "just why are you angry about it, Angie?"

Angelica blushes a bit while her cheeks turn red, the girl soon hits Kira's back.

"just focus on driving!" Angelica exclaimed as Kira winced because she hits his back hard.

"a-alright!" Kira replies as he is very confused on what is going on.

As the two had did their little conversation, Hertrude looks at them a bit deadpanned because she literally felt like a third wheel for some reason.

Upon the luxury liner, the airship still has its passengers fighting for their lives.

Olivia is leaning against the railings as she had exhausted most of her magic in creating the barrier that protected the ship.

"n-not yet…I still have to…" Olivia gasps for air as she is too exhausted to even move.

"kyaaa! A big monster is coming!" a girl's scream is heard as a large great white shark like monster is coming down at the luxury liner while opening its large fanged and eyeball filled mouth.

"where are those guys with the Armors!?" "they've gone too far! They can't come back quick enough!" "run!" the screams of panic is heard echoing loudly as everyone sees the shark monster coming and planning to eat them all but the creature was destroyed when the Blue Hawk came flying by and unleashes its missiles that made the monster turn into black ash.

"K-Kira-san!" Olivia cries out with a smile in seeing the man who had his airbike descend and land on top of the deck. She slowly gets up and goes to him after seeing the passengers on board. "Kira-san~! Angie~!"

Kira helps Angelica get off board his airbike before the Duke Redgrave's daughter smiles and got into a hug with Olivia who came to her.

"Angie~! Angie~!" Olivia cries out to her friend as she was glad to have her back. "Angie~!"

"Livia…" Angelica smiles in tears while hugging Olivia and comforts her.

As the two are hugging, Kira gets off the Blue Hawk as he helps Hertrude off.

"for an enemy knight, you are quite the gentleman." Hertrude made a remark on Kira who just shrugs his shoulders once before he got hugged by Olivia who begins thanking him for saving Angie as he promised.

"thank you for saving Angie, Kira-san." Olivia spoke to Kira who nods while caressing the back of her head. The two hugged for a few seconds before separating and the short blonde haired girl finally notices Hertrude. "i-isn't she..?"

"She is our hostage who will help us get out of this battle." Kira told Olivia while looking at Hertrude.

Soon Chris came flying down in his Armor that lands and soon opens the chest part to reveal himself.

"Bartfort! What's the next step of your plan!?" Chris exclaimed while getting off. "I know that we got their princess in our disposal, but we still have dozens of monsters and enemy airships that are still sending out Armors straight for us!"

"we have their princess as a hostage." Kira told Chris before looking at Angelica and Olivia. "if we play it right, we can negotiate for our safety with the enemy. Therefore…"

As Kira gives out his plan to rescue everyone on the Luxury liner, a command was given to the Principality's flee through a megaphone. The voice belonging to the enemy Earl Garrett.

"The princess has sacrificed her life for the principality!" Garrett shouted out loud in command. "All warships, commence an all-out attack!"

"what!?" Chris exclaims in shock. "She's still alive and yet they are going to attack no matter what!?"

"You know nothing." Hertrude spoke out while smirking. "The principality won't cease with just this much. I have a replacement. I am merely responsible for the vanguard unit."

"the Vanguard Unit?" Kira spoke before he and the others soon looks surprise because Hertrude did an incantation that causes her magic flute that Angelica is holding to glow red. "this is!?"

A red magic circle appears above Hertrude as music was played from the magic flute that played itself. The monsters around the area going berserk for a moment then came flying straight for the luxury liner in a single moment.

"what did you do!?" Angelica demanded in seeing the Monster's movements.

"you should've killed me back on my airship when you had the chance." Hertrude stated with a smirk. "You wonder what I just did? I released the monsters from my control. The monsters who had once been controlled will now go after the one who had been manipulating them." She glances up and chuckles in seeing the coming monsters. "They'll soon gather to this ship."

"why you!" Angelica grabs Hertrude by the collar and pulls her towards her face. "why!? why go so far?!"

"I've said it already, didn't i?" Hertrude replied with her smirk growing. "It's to make the kingdom fall!"

"you!" Angelica shouted as she was about to hit Hertrude, but Kira stops her. "K-Kira?"

"enough, Angie. Hitting her nor killing her won't solve the matter now." Kira said as he gently pushes Angelica away from Hertrude and faces her. "you say that you would sacrifice even your own life to make the Holfort Kingdom fall?"

"indeed." Hertrude spoke with a smirk. "and negotiating with me won't help you and your friends. I made it impossible for myself to control the monsters that are coming for us."

"I see." Kira said before letting out a small sigh in his helmet. "I wished that we could've understood each other after seeing how you are alike with me."

"what?" Hertrude looks confused as she tried to ask Kira what he was talking about, but the young man turns and took a few steps away.

"Hachi." Kira spoke out as a beep is heard from his earpiece communicator.

"Archangel arriving." Hachi spoke out before a rain of missiles flies out of the ocean water below. The projectiles flew and hit several monsters which were engulfed in a chain of bright flaming explosion that turned them into ashes.

"w-what is this!?" Chris and nearly all the people on board the Luxury Liner are in shock as they didn't know what was happening nor did they understand on what just killed some of the monsters.

After the missiles destroyed half of the monster's numbers, a loud splash of water came from the sea below.

"look! Down there!" one random student near the handrails shouted out as many others checked and soon sees the Archangel flying out of the sea water that erupted like a geyser in its ascension.

"t-that ship is…" Angelica spoke out as the Archangel flies into the air and just passes the Luxury Liner. "the Archangel!?"

"Hachi, ready the weapons." Kira said to Hachi on his communicator as the AI made a few beeping noises in reply.

"Gottfried and Valiant Linear Cannons deployed. all missile launchers armed with Wombats." Hachi reported as the Archangel deployed all its weaponry in one go. "Target: Fanoss Empire's Enemy Forces. Locked on."

"Fire." Kira spoke and in command, Hachi unleashes the Archangel's weaponry in full throttle.

countless green plasma beams, charged electrical plasma shots, and rains of missiles came flying upon the Fanoss' enemy forces as the airships, monsters, and Armors got destroyed and became under siege from the attacks.

in one of the Fanoss Empire's airships, there is panic ensuing on the bridge because the Archangel that came into the battlefield is unleashing hell upon their forces.

"j-just what is going on?!" Garrett screams as he is on board the airship that got hit with a few missiles near its hull. "where did that ship come from and how come our forces are the ones getting massacred instead!?" he hangs onto the floor as his ship shakes violently when it got grazed with a beam fired from one of the Archangel's Gottfried Beam Cannon. "how is it able to hit us at such distance!?"

"our force are losing control of their vessels!" a subordinate of Garrett shouted out. "they're losing force in the air! Garrett-sama! What shall we do!?"

Garett could only make small incomprehensible noises as he feels insanely frustrated that their invasion is slowly becoming a one sided massacre of a battle.

"how is all of this caused by just one brat and a ship!?" Garrett shouted in anger before he screams when a part of the ship's bridge exploded from a plasma beam shot. "iiihh!"

back upon the Luxury Liner, the airship is currently having its passengers evacuated to another airship that had come after the Archangel. This second ship is actually the camouflage ship that Kira and Hachi had built to fool everyone about their ship's true form.

and since the situation was too dire, Kira and Hachi had decided to just stop the camouflaging and focus on the fight while saving everyone on board the Luxury Liner.

The Archangel remains firing its weaponry against the enemy forces while on the Luxury Liner's deck where Kira and the others along with many remaining students looks upon the Aile Strike that had launched out of the Mobile Assault Airship's Catapult launcher and is now descending before landing.

The Gundam's colors in a deactivate state yet functions because of Hachi who is remote controlling its system from the cockpit that opens while the Mobile suit kneels with a hand placed down towards Kira who soon gets on it.

"Bartfort, can you still fight?" Chris asks while coming near as Kira turns and nods to him.

"my Strike and the Archangel will draw all the enemy's fire upon us." Kira spoke out. "I need you along with the others to safeguard the rescue ship as it gets away from the area. Can you do it?"

"I can!" Chris nods before he goes and started calling his team to relay the orders.

"this Armor…" Hertrude spoke out as she looks in surprise at the Strike while being held by Angelica and Olivia. "it's a Lost Item."

Kira notices her tone and he could tell that she had seen one alike with his Gundam.

"you say that like you've seen one alike with it." Kira spoke as he looks at Hertrude. "without a doubt, that Canard Pars has one alike with mine?"

"its appearance is not similar but its main look is very much alike." Hertrude spoke as Kira hardens his gaze a bit to hear her reply. The princess soon sighs to the side before looking back at the Ultimate Coordinator. "I remember now. I had heard that there was a young knight who earned fame in the kingdom as an adventurer who found a powerful Lost Item. That person must be you, isn't it?"

Kira merely nods before the Strike moves its hand and lifts the pilot to its cockpit where he goes in and sits down.

"Kira-san! good luck!" Olivia cries out with a smile. "and please be careful in the fight!"

"Remember to come back in one piece, do you hear me!?" Angelica added in with a sternish face that has a smile. "come back to us, alright!?"

Kira did a thumbs up to them before the cockpit hatch's closed and the Strike rises while its Phase Shift Armor goes online.

The Strike's eyes flashes yellow before the Gundam turns and soon flies into the sky while getting cheers from the students who now have hope and luck swelling in their hearts after seeing the mobile suit arriving to their rescue.

"Hachi, get the Archangel to cover the rescue ship as it escapes with everyone and also launch out the Skygraspers equipped with both the Launcher and Sword Pack. I got a feeling that we might have to fight a tough enemy later on" Kira contacted his AI Friend through the communicator as his Gundam flies and kills nearby monsters with its Igelstellung and with normal punches and kicks that shreds them apart. "also, launch out the Bazooka. I need it to sink down the enemy ships that are trying to come close to us."

"roger" Hachi replied as the AI did as Kira requested. It began to steer the Archangel back while its catapult and in few a minutes launches out the two Skygraspers equipped with the Sword and Launcher pack but the one with the Agni also had a Bazooka attached to its side.

The Strike floats in the sky before it turns and soon raises out a hand that catches the Bazooka that the Launcher pack equipped Skygrasper ejected when it came flying by.

"let's go." Kira said as his Gundam's eyes flashes and its thrusters went overdrive, causing it to fly into enemy lines.

back upon the bridge of the Fanoss Empire's airship, Garrett saw the Strike as it fires several aimed shots of its Bazooka to his force's airships that soon sinks when a part of their frame exploded while the Skygraspers destroy their Armors and monsters.

"Is he a monster?" Garrett asks himself because he wasn't sure that what he was seeing is true or not. "first that strange ship came and annihilated half of our forces, then that Armor and those two flying things are now destroying what is left…" he trembles while looking enraged. "just how is this even possible!?"

"Garrret-sama, we should we retreat!" one nearby subordinate exclaimed in panic. "we can't win this battle anymore! We should…!"

Before the subordinate could even finish his sentences, Garrett punches him on the face.

"Retreat?! What a stupid thing to say!" Garrett shouted as he grips his fists up. "If the troops of the principality return after having lost to schoolchildren from the kingdom, we'll be the laughing stock!"

"h-however!" the subordinate gets up while trying to reason with his commander. "the d-damage to our troops has already…!"

"They stole our princess, stole the magic flute, and now we might lose to a child!" another subordinate shouted out. "There is no way we can retreat!"

Garrett growls angrily as he chew on his nail and his eyes became bloodshot.

"So the kingdom has a new model of armor. My position will be in danger at the very least if we don't sink that before we return." Garrett muttered to himself without worrying about the glances from his subordinates around him.

As Garrett is trying to think of a plan to win the losing battle, a group of men wearing black uniforms with armor plating came walking into the bridge.

"o-ohhh!" Garrett who saw them just let out an awed noise while looking in tears. "that's right! We have you all!" he looks to one person in the group as it is an old man with a bald head, a large scar on the forehead, a large muscular body that is covered in black armor. "the strongest force of our Fanoss Dukedom! The Black Knight Brigade and their leader! the Black Knight himself! Viscount Vandel Him Zenden!"

"I was told that there were orders to not let me lead an assault." Vandel spoke as he looks down at Garrett. "I even heard that the princess had been captured. You'll be chastised for this later." he turns and walks away with his subordinates following. "We'll be forming a sortie."

Garrett nodded his head many times in delight as there was a glimmer of hope in his and his fellow subordinate' eyes. Without a doubt, they wanted this person to do something about the rampaging airship and armor in front of them.

"that's no problem, Vandel-dono!" Garrett replied with a smile. "I leave it to you and the others!"

With a small huff, Vandel soon leaves the bridge with his knights and when they left, Garrett made a stifled laughter.

"With this, everything has been settled." Garrett spoke while chuckling.

"B-But, we were given an order from the country to not let Viscount Zenden lead an assault!" a soldier cries out towards Garrett. "if this goes on!"

Garrett laughed scornfully as he says. "Zenden made the sortie of his own accord. Besides, are you stupid enough to not let us play our strongest card?" he smirks while looking at the Strike that is still attacking his force's airships with its Bazooka. "The 'Black Knight' will be able to kill that monster. After all, he's the strongest knight in the principality."

In time, the Black Knight and his team flies out of the airship and head straight for Kira in his Strike.
