Upon the night at the Holfort's royal castle, there is a party held in the grand ballroom. This party was hosted as celebratory for the students who faced the Fanoss invasion forces during the school field trip.
Luxurious food and drinks were prepared for the students who enjoyed every single bite.
By a table with sorts of delicious foods set on its surface, there is Angelica, and Olivia. The latter eating a slice of cake with a pleased and happy face.
"So good~!" Olivia bites on another piece of the cake and just smiles happily in tasting the sweet delicacy. "So very good~!"
"Livia, I know the food is good but please be considerate of how you eat them." Angelica said as she takes out her handkerchief and wipes off some cream from Livia's lips. "there are higher ranked nobles watching, you know?"
"S-Sorry…the cake was too good and i…" Olivia replied in embarrassment.
Angelica sighs with a smile before she notices Clarice and Deidre making their way to them.
"you two seemed to be having fun." Clarice said with a smile while holding a glass of wine. "any of you two seen Kira-kun around?"
"no, Kira said he needed to take a breather from the party." Angelica replied as she smiles while shrugging her shoulders. "or rather, he needs to take some spaces from the girls who are after him."
"that's understandable." Clarice giggles.
The four girls started to chatter about some random topics that come into their mind, the most prominent topic would be Kira's new title as a Count and the capabilities he showed during the battle against Fanoss forces.
"for someone who is so young and still considered a foreigner, he sure gained the fame of the year." Clarice said while gently twirling her wine glass. "I still can't believe that he himself took down the Black Knight of all people."
"Indeed, but not only the Black Knight." Angelica stated while remembering the Hyperion and Canard Pars. "Kira also faced another person who might have hailed from the same land as he is and wields a powerful Lost Item like the Strike."
"That battle between two wielders of Lost Items was one to be witnessed." Deidre said while spreading her fan and holding it in front of her mouth. "it was such a chaotic battle that lead to the destruction of anything near them." She soon sighs and then shivers a bit. "but the mere thought of such hardships from that young man just gives me the chills~!"
Angelica and the others sweatdropped as they were really creeped from Deidre's personality.
"s-still, It was such a relief that Kira-san managed to defeat his foes." Olivia spoke out with an awkward smile. "if he didn't, we wouldn't be here at all."
"yeah, we wouldn't." Angelica nods before she sighs while frowning a bit. "if he weren't here…"
"what's wrong?" Clarice asks in seeing Angelica's expression.
"no, it's just that…" Angelica spoke before she sighs and looks at them all. "I wondered what our lives would've been if Kira never came to the land." She close her eyes and frowns, remembering how Julius just abandoned her for Marie. "if Kira didn't decide to step forward as my champion during that duel..i would've been…"
"we know." Clarice nods as she looks at her reflection in the wine glass. The senior girl remembering how Jilk left her without another word. "if Kira-kun didn't help me get over Jilk…I might've gone down a bad road at the end."
"if Kira-san never came to help me that time…" Olivia muttered, remembering the hardships she had to go through in the academy during the past when she had to endure the countless bullying.
As the three girls were thinking of their time with the first encounter with Kira, they began to imagine their lives if they hadn't met him.
The girls keeps on thinking deeply while Deidre looks at them one by one before sighing and then did a loud clap that snapped them all out of their train of thoughts.
"might I remind you all of a famous quote I once learned?" Deidre asks while folding her fan and then pointing it at the girls. "let the past remain in the past. You three should know that your lives with Count Bartfort has changed and therefore you should not think of a future without him, understand?" she sighs while spreading her fan and held it near her face. "for you people to think so much of something that doesn't exist. How lowly."
Angelica, Olivia, and Clarice looks at Deidre for a moment before to each other, the three sighs with a smile before giggling a bit.
"I guess, you're right." Angelica said as she smiles in remembering how much fun she has been having with Kira ever since he won the duel for her. "can't believe that you of all people would be lecturing us, Deidre."
"same here." Clarice nodded while crossing her arms under her chest.
"you are implying as if I am not a good role model to others." Deidre said while having a short laugh before she close her eyes and smiles. "well, I can't be such a good role model considering that the Count was the one who took the role to fight against the fanoss forces in the first place."
"that's true." Olivia nodded in agreement, the girl remembering the role Kira had in fighting against the enemy. She then made a confused noise before looking around the area and then back at the others. "speaking of Kira-san, where is he?"
The girls made confused noises before they look around, realizing that Kira is gone from the party.
"Did he leave already?" Clarice asks.
"without saying anything?" Angelica said before sighing when she saw something nearby. "but I can guess why he left."
"what do you mean?" Olivia asks and Angelica pointed to a crowd of girls trying to find Kira. The crowd consists of Kira's fans and those who want him for his fame and fortune. "ah…."
"with those girls around, I wouldn't even want to stay here." Clarice said, sighing when seeing how many girls in the crowd are only after Kira's fame.
"indeed." Deidre nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile on another side of the ballroom, there is Rutart and Merce. The children of Zola and both are called to attend the party because they are considered to be members of the Bartfort Family which Kira is a vassal to.
Zola had gone off to talk with some high ranked nobles, lying in boasting on how Kira is a well trained knight for her family and she did so to increase her credibility to them. Rutart and Merce are just standing by and watching their mother do all the chattering.
"this party is so boring…" Merce spoke as she sighs tiredly while fanning herself with an expensive looking paper fan. The blonde seemingly more interested at the prince and his entourage who are also in the party and being with Marie. An annoyed expression soon forms on her face. "why do the prince and his compatriots want to be with such a lowly girl like her?"
As Merce looks annoyed, she took a glance at her brother and became more annoyed when she finds him trying to look for someone.
"as always, he's trying to search for her." Merce muttered before she clicks her tongue and begins to move away from Rutart who is looking desperate to meet someone.
"is she not participating in this party?" Rutart whispers as he looks at one side of the ballroom where there is the King and Queen of Holfort Kingdom who are talking to some high ranked nobles of the royal court. "they're here with the prince but not with the princess?"
Rutart is seeking Lacus because years back, he once met the princess who is known as Holfort Kingdom's reclusive Pink Diva.
Flashback
10 years ago, at the royal castle. There is a party held in the same ballroom as it is Julius 6th birthday.
Many nobles came to congratulate the prince's party as a few of those nobles also included Zola and her children who were invited.
Zola is talking to her group; the Ladies of the Forest. They chattered about the fame and money that they are gaining from their 'fortunate' husbands and lovers. Rutart and Merce however are by the sidelines with their mother's elven lover servant.
"this party can be so boring…" Rutart spoke out, all bored.
As Rutart complains, some loud chatters are heard from another area of the ballroom. The young boy's attention was taken to there and he soon looks wide eyes and in amazement to the sight of a pink haired little girl with a very adorable yet beautiful complexion. That girl is Lacus who was 5 year old and is wearing a beautiful dress.
Lacus is with her father and mother, the princess congratulating her brother's birthday with a smile that made Rutart's heart beat faster.
"p-pretty.." Rutart muttered out. "that girl…I want her…'
Flashback
"she might be greeting other nobles." Rutart said before he goes off to find the princess and try to ask her out.
Merce watches her brother leave, the girl annoyed that such a princess could exist in having all the wealth and beauty that made her beloved by all.
"tch, that girl is just so annoying." Merce said before turning around and leaving the area.
meanwhile at the balcony garden, a happy reunion arrived for Kira who is crying tears of happiness to see the one person he wishes to be reunited in his prayers.
"Lacus…." Kira whispers out her name so softly yet shakingly, his eyes flooding out tears, his body going numb and his mind just going into the clouds because of his sight that lays upon the one woman the Ultimate Coordinator loves with all his heart. "Lacus…"
"Kira…" the pink haired princess is in the same state as he is, her eyes spilled out rivers of tears. Her legs unconsciously move herself towards the young man who is in utter tears. "Kira…" she stands before him as she had her left hand to slightly cover her opened trembling mouth while her right hand slowly reaches and gently place itself on Kira's cheek, touching his skin and feeling his warmth. "Kira…."
"Lacus…" Kira cries out her name so softly while his left hand gently held Lacus' right hand on his cheek, he grasped it gently while leaning close to it. The young man continues to cry in tears as he just broke down with utter sadness, and joy. "Lacus!"
In a passing second, Kira and Lacus hugged each other as both man and woman finally reunited after separation just made them long for each other so much that they didn't speak another word and just embraced.
"Lacus…." Kira whispers while holding Lacus close to his heart and spilling out tears from his clenched eyes. "Lacus!"
"Kira…" Lacus whispers as she leans close to Kira's chest and cries tears of sadness and joy to finally be reunited with the man she loved with all her heart. "Kira…"
Both held each other in a more tighter and warmer embrace as if they felt like the other would disappear if they didn't.
After a minute of embracing, Kira and Lacus slowly separated just a few centimeters before they stare deeply into each other's tearful eyes.
"Kira…" Lacus whispers softly as she raised a hand and gently caresses Kira's right cheek, the pink haired princess feeling the warm of his skin and the sensation of it upon her fingertips. "you really are here….Kira"
"yeah…I am." Kira replies as he leans closer to her gentle touch, feeling its softness and warmth. "I'm here, Lacus..I'm here with you."
A few seconds later, Kira and Lacus are now sitting on a stone bench in the garden as they sat side by side while holding each other's hands.
"Kira…you're really here…" Lacus spoke in a whisper as she smiles while gently caressing Kira's right cheek, the young man leans close to her hand with a happy smile. "you're really here."
"so are you, Lacus…" Kira replies as he leans close to her while closing his eyes, the young man smelling her addicting flower like scent coming from her hair and feeling the touch of her bare shoulder's skin that felt so smooth. "I finally found you….I finally.."
Both hugged each other once again as their love just made them long for each other so terribly.
"Kira….i'm so happy…." Lacus spoke as she cries some tears while embracing her beloved. "I'm so…so happy…."
Afterwards, both separated but remained in a close proximity with each other.
"you look so beautiful.." Kira spoke as he finally noticed and compliments his princess' nearly translucent white dress. "so very beautiful.."
"thank you, and i can say the same to you, my dear prince." Lacus replied in a slightly teasing voice as she placed a hand to Kira's chest while seeing the noble attire that he is wearing. She caresses a few of the golden buttons sewed on the shoulder pads and then went down to the chest area where there is the medal that the young man was awarded at the ceremony "you look very dashing."
"thank you.." Kira replies with a small smile and a chuckle.
Both gaze into each other's eyes for a moment before they close their eyes and leans their forehead close. The two just having the time of lives after reuniting with one another.
Kira and Lacus separates, the young man gently caresses the princess' cheeks before he notices the pink ball sitting on her lap.
"I guess Haro came with you when you arrive to this world." Kira said as Lacus looks at the pink ball in hand which is actually a Haro that her former fiancé Athrun once made for her. "Did you find it at the ruins of a Dungeon?"
"no, Pink-chan was there with me when I was a child." Lacus said while smiling as she caresses the pink ball's top. "I was told that it was a gift to me by the King when I turned 3." She shrugs her shoulders while giggling. "it was something he thought I would like even though he had no idea what it is."
"I see.." Kira said as he gently takes the pink Haro from Lacus, he inspects the object and sees that it was a bit old and possibly dead with run out batteries. "I can fix him." He looks at his princess with a smile. "but with the right tools that is."
"is that so?" Lacus asks before she sees Hachi's little drone appearing besides Kira which surprised her. "that is?"
"his name is Hachi. He's Lowe-san's AI partner from Junk Guild." Kira said as he introduced the AI to Lacus, Hachi had disappeared temporarily to allow some private time for the two teens when they were reunited. "I found him on board the Archangel a year back and he's been helping me sort things out with some tasks."
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Lacus Clyne." Hachi greeted Lacus while beeping a few times. "and might I say that it is a surprise to be finding you as a princess of Holfort Kingdom."
"I suppose the feelings are mutual." Lacus nodded with a smile.
"Hachi, can you take Haro with you to my dorm room?" Kira asks his AI friend as the drone opened a small compartment that anchors down a suction cup that attaches to the Haro's head. "and while you're at it. Can you also scan for the repairs needed for it?"
"it shall be done." Hachi replied before the drone flies away while taking the Haro.
Kira and Lacus watches Hachi flying his drone before they look at each other.
"it's good to see that you weren't alone over the passing year, Kira." Lacus said while happy that her beloved not struggling in a world that is not theirs.
"i know." Kira nods.
A few minutes of loving caresses, hugs, and a small share of laughter later, Kira and Lacus decided to asked very important questions to one another.
"Lacus, how long have you been here? in this world?" Kira asks the pink haired princess while holding both of her hands and facing her. "How long have you been a princess of Holfort Kingdom?"
"that's…." Lacus spoke before she frowns a bit and looks away. "it's a very long story, Kira. One that I still have a hard time trying to fully understand."
"What do you mean by that?" Kira asks while looking confused.
"Kira, when did you arrive to Holfort Kingdom?" Lacus asks him as she turns to face Kira. "or to be precise, when did you arrive to this world?"
"eh?" Kira blinked his eyes twice before he looked away and started to think about the answer for her question while scratching his chin a bit with his right hand. "I guess…almost a year?" he then looks back at Lacus. "why you ask?"
"a year…" Lacus spoke out as she looks down at her lap for a moment and then faces Kira once again. "Kira, this may sound shocking to you but I arrived to this world when I was a 6 year old girl."
"eh?" Kira's eyes widened as he look shocked at Lacus who nods before looking away, the princess grasping her hands together on her lap.
"I came to this world nearly ten years ago." Lacus spoke out while looking at her lap. "the last thing I remembered before coming to this world was Genesis' destruction." She slowly remembers the massive genocide weapon's destruction. "and then…"
Flashback
Lacus sat upon the commander seat of the Eternal, the Singer of War watching the final battle in space that ended when the Freedom Gundam destroyed the Providence Gundam and the Genesis exploding because of the Gundam Justice's nuclear self-destruction.
"Kira!" Lacus cries out before she and the Eternal's crew witness the bright light coming from Genesis' destruction that made everyone close their eyes and look away.
The bright white light engulfs everything before it all died down and the first thing that Lacus sees is a white marbled ceiling.
Lacus blinks her eyes in confusion before she notices her surrounding which is a large and luxurious looking room filled with high class objects such as high class furniture, paintings of people she didn't recognize, and a large table filled with flowers, sweet confectioneries, and many more.
She is confused at her surroundings that when she tries to sit up, she realizes something felt different and weird about herself.
Lacus looks down and sees that she is on a large bed with a blanket over her lap, but that is not the weird part. The pink haired diva looks at her hands as they were small and almost like that of a child.
She looks at herself and in pure confusion looks at her surroundings before she sees a reflection of herself by a nearby window. The reflection shows Lacus as a young 6 year old girl wearing a little pinkish white sleeping dress that is matching of her age.
Lacus looks in pure surprise to her current physique, but she became curious when she notices that her 6 year old self has bandages wrapped around her head with one area a bit brownish red.
Flashback
"when I woke up that day, I was a six year old little girl and I have memories that were not of mine." Lacus spoke out as she turns towards Kira and gently combs some parts of her front bangs to the side to reveal a small zig zag looking scar on her forehead that is only noticeable up close. "I have memories as Lacus Rapha Holfort, the First Princess of Holfort Kingdom."
"just how is that even possible?" Kira asks Lacus as he looks completely bewildered. "I mean, I came to this world when Genesis exploded, I was myself and not changed at all. yet you…"
"I don't understand how it was even possible as well, Kira." Lacus spoke as she covered the scar on her forehead and looked to the front. "I only know that I entered this world as someone else, that is all I know."
Kira looks at Lacus for a moment before he firms himself a bit and leans closer to her.
"so…you spent the last decade…growing up in this castle?" Kira asks a bit hesitantly and Lacus nods in reply.
"I learned about everything of this world, this kingdom, the people, the academy, the magic, everything." Lacus replies while closing her eyes and remembering her childhood life as the princess of Holfort Kingdom. "I must admit that it was difficult for the first few years to be the princess to this kingdom, but I had grown and learned of its very history, economy, politics, and its governmental structure." She sighs a bit while slowly opening her eyes just a sliver. "I can only imagine the terrible women you have met during your time here, Kira."
"that's…" Kira spoke out before he pauses when he remembers the selfish nobles such as Zola, the Offrey Households and those alike. The young man sighs a bit as he looks down while nodding. "no, you're right. There are many terrible women back at the academy." He then looks back at Lacus. "but there are also kind ones as well."
"I see, that is a relief to hear." Lacus said with a nod and a small smile, she then looked to the front and thought about something that made her frown. "one entire year, is it?"
"Lacus?" Kira looks at Lacus as he soon became surprised when he sees her eyes just tearing up. "Lacus? What's wrong?"
"it's just…i…" Lacus spoke before shedding some tears. "I'm so sorry, Kira."
"sorry? For what?" Kira asks all confused. "why are you saying that?"
"i…the truth is…" Lacus spoke as she tries to stop her tears from dripping but they keep on coming. "I've been in this kingdom for almost a decade and yet I gave up when I saw no chances of you or anyone else we know to be here as well." she leans close to Kira. "when I learned of a foreigner coming to this kingdom with the name Kira, I thought that it was just a random stranger who has the same name. I didn't bother to check anything at the time." She shed more tears as they drip down her cheeks and fell to the ground beside her feet. "I had given up hope those years ago, I never believed in the chance that I could ever be with you again. i….i…"
As Lacus continued to cry, Kira went and hold her in a warm embrace.
"you have nothing to be sorry about." Kira said as he held Lacus close. "nothing at all." he caresses the back of her head and her back with his right hand that goes up and then down in one line. "if there is anyone who should be apologizing, it's me. I never bothered to see the possibility of you being the princess of Holfort Kingdom or anything." He frowned sadly as he felt guilty for not trying his best to find Lacus in the world. "I always thought that I could find you outside the kingdom and never inside." He holds her even closer. "I'm sorry, Lacus."
"Kira…" Lacus muttered out as she leans closer to his embrace.
Both stayed in their embrace for seconds, minutes, until it reached an hour. The two stayed in their position and were basked under the moonlight.
After another minute of embracing, Kira and Lacus slowly separated.
"Lacus, take this." Kira said while unbuttoning the top of his uniform and then taking out his necklace, the object holds his ring and special charms which he soon takes off. He then separates the items on the necklace as he held out the ring and flower charm towards Lacus "here"
"my mother's ring.." Lacus smiles to see the nostalgic object that she holds dear in her heart before to the flower shaped special charm. "and this is?"
"a charm that I obtained during the academy's field trip." Kira stated as he gently holds Lacus' hand that holds the charm which he caresses with his thumb. "it's a special charm that connects with the one that I have on me." he shows how the piece could separate and then reconnect to her. "they say that this charm is meant for couples who would be blessed with luck and love."
Lacus processes Kira's words and just smiles happily to know that he is giving her such a special item.
"I'm happy to receive such a charm, Kira." Lacus said with a smile as Kira takes the sword part of the charm as his own. "but why did you return my mother's ring?" she looks confused at the ring that she had given to him before the final battle back at their own world. "i.."
"we once made a promise together that I would always return to you, right?" Kira asks Lacus who nods, the young man smiles while gently and slowly got the ring to be placed on the princess' left ring finger and the necklace to be put around the princess' neck. "that promise which may have been obstructed in its path has finally be completed, I now return it to you as the sign of a new promise." He smiles while gently caressing her cheeks. "a promise that I would always be there for you no matter what." he raises her left hand and gave a peck to the ring. "a promise that I vow on my life."
Lacus looks at Kira who is smiling, the young man made a vow to be there for her like he is proposing to marry her which soon made her smile back.
"you truly have accustomed yourself to being a knight, haven't you?" Lacus asks Kira who chuckles a bit.
"I believe so." Kira replies as he caresses her cheek and gently combs some of the princess hair to the side. "and perhaps, I might've been fated to become a knight." He leans closer until their foreheads touched. "your knight."
Lacus smiles so lovingly and happily in return to hear Kira's words as both just leaned closer before their lips touched and they shared a warm and soft kiss together.
Their hands slowly reached to hold each other by the shoulder and the waist while trying to deepen their kiss.
Moans came from Lacus who turns her head sideways to allow Kira to come closer to her, she feels his hands holding her waist and back so gently like she's made of glass.
Their kiss continues on before it was stopped by Lacus who gently pushes Kira away.
"I know we have just been reunited…" Lacus spoke with a smile while placing a finger on Kira's lips. "but let's save the rest for later, shall we?"
"how can I say no to you?" Kira asks before he got Lacus into another kiss that only lasted a few seconds.
after another kiss, a hug, and some loving words exchanged between the two, it was time to call it a night.
"I should head back to the others." Kira said as he gets off the seat with Lacus, both facing one another while holding each other's hands. He frowns a bit sadly as he didn't want to leave his princess after reuniting with her. "As much as I want to stay here with you…our current positions won't…"
"I know." Lacus said as she grasped Kira's hands together while holding them up, the princess gently kissing his knuckles before smiling to him. "but we're not saying goodbyes, just temporary partings." She raise a hand and gently caresses the young man's cheeks, getting him to be a bit soothed by her gentle and warm touch. "I promise that one day in the future we'll always be together, Kira. No more partings."
Kira smiles in hearing her words as he nodded before he gives Lacus a kiss on the forehead and then on the lips.
"I'll always be there whenever you need me." Kira said while taking out his phone and handing it to Lacus. "If you ever feel distressed, or lonely, or feeling unwell…"
"I know how to call you." Lacus replies with a small giggling smile as she held the phone near her ear. "Right?"
Kira nods before he and Lacus shared another kiss that lasted for a few minutes then ended.
Afterwards, Kira slowly parted ways with Lacus. The princess stays in the garden while the young noble went off.
Kira smiles to Lacus who waves her right hand at him while he leaves.
Exiting the garden and entering the castle's hallways, Kira looked a bit heavy in sadness and guilt because of him leaving Lacus just when they were reunited.
As Kira was lamenting on his weakness on not being able to stay with Lacus, Hachi's copter drone came flying by and hovers near the young man.
"Would you like me to have a drone survey and protect her, Kira?" Hachi asks Kira, knowing that the young man wants to protect his beloved at all cost.
"Please do." Kira nods. "and while you're at it. Try to add a relay booth to help the call signal of the phone I just gave her."
"Understood." Hachi replied after beeping once. "I'll have them all prepared."
"not anymore." Kira whispers as he grasped a hand to his chest. "I just found her, and I don't want to ever lose her. Not anymore"
With a new resolve in his heart, Kira started to think of plans to ensure that Lacus is safe along with the good people of Holfort Kingdom but that had to be put aside for a later time because he got called out from a corner hallway.
"hey! Kira!" Angelica came with Olivia as they went straight to Kira. "we've been trying to find you all night!"
"We were worried, Kira-san!" Olivia added in.
"sorry, I was just…" Kira was about to reply but he stops when he notices that the girls are not wearing their school uniforms anymore but beautiful red and green dresses respectively. "those dresses are?"
Kira looks at Angelica first as the red eyes blonde is wearing the same red dress since back during the social party while Olivia is wearing an over the shoulder green dress.
"ah, this?" Angelica said as she looks down at herself while motioning a hand to her dress. "they're the dresses we've changed into for the party's after dance."
"Angie let me borrow one for the occasion too." Olivia said while looking a bit embarrassed because Kira was staring at her dress before at Angelica. "d-do I look weird?"
"n-no..it's the opposite actually.." Kira replied as he looks a bit embarrassed. "you two look…beautiful in them."
"I see." Angelica smiles to hear the compliment to the point she did a curtsy to Kira. "thank you for the kind compliment, Count Bartfort."
"t-thank you!" Olivia did the same curtsy but she did so a bit clumsily.
"please don't do that!" Kira said as he looks surprised, and a bit panicked. "I may be a Count in title but I don't want you two to be doing such things!"
"We know, we're just teasing you." Angelica giggles before she takes Kira's hand and begin to pull him. "Now come on! The dance is about to start and the main character for the event can't be absent!"
"but I was…" Kira spoke before he was cut off when Olivia began to pull him as well. "wait a minute!"
"we need to hurry, Kira-san!" Olivia cried out, both she and Angelica pulled Kira down the corner hallway as they head straight for the ballroom. "hurry!"
Kira tried to fight back as he didn't want to go into the ballroom which has lots of girls after him but seeing how he can't fight back, he just accepted his fate in defeat.
About a month later, at the Bartfort Household's floating island.
Kira is present with the Bartfort family members as they all look upon a mansion which is the family's newly renovated home.
"So this is the new mansion?" Kira asks as he looks upon the new home of the Bartfort family. The young man present because it is the school's winter break and therefore a holiday for him to have. "Quite the large residence."
"yeah." Balcus who was near Kira replied with a nod as he looks a bit prideful yet embarrassed and delighted to the sight of his family's new home. "thanks to your work in making airships and armors. We've been getting lots of guests and lots incomes so that we could renovate our home." He chuckles and smiles to the young man. "our lives have never been more better thanks to you, Kira."
Kira nods back before he looks back at the new residence, seeing how it has better accommodations than its previous appearance.
"Can't believe that this is our new house…" Nicks said, the second son seeing the new house from up close. "Though I couldn't believe I could see it after graduating." He crosses his arms on his chest and sighs with a smile. "Though this feels nice."
"yeah, the place was once cramped but now it's big." Jenna stated before she goes and hugs Kira's right arm while having a big smile. "now we can have a room together, Kira~!"
"r-right…" Kira replies with an awkward smile. "I think not.."
"can't we just go inside now? It's getting hot." Finley said while looking tired and annoyed. "my feet are starting to hurt."
"just a bit more, Finley." Luce told her youngest daughter after sighing. "be patient."
"yeah! We haven't seen the new Armors that Kira-niichan got for us!" Colin exclaimed, the youngest son excited to see the new robots that Kira had built. "he even made a special one for dad! I want to see it!"
"in time, Colin." Balcus said after chuckling.
As the group were continuing to admire the new house, a servant came with a frantic look.
"what's wrong?" Balcus asks the servant who came to him before whispering a few words quickly to his ear. The head of the Bartfort Family listens before his eyes widen in surprise. "eh!? Zola is here!?"
Everyone heard the name of the Bartfort family's legal wife as they could tell something bad was going to happen.
In the living room of the main residence, there is Zola along with a distinguished priest of the Kingdom's temple. This person looks to have the same personality as Zola because of her expression that shows she dislikes things and have an egoistic personality as well.
Kira along with Balcus meets Zola as informed by the servant but what they didn't know was the fact that the room had knights from the temple and they are all armed.
"W-Why are you here, Zola?" Balcus asks, a bit tense from seeing the people from the temple. "and why are the Temple's priest and knights here?"
"you fool of a man couldn't realize that you have a thief with you!?" Zola exclaimed as she points her folded fan towards Kira. "that brat there has stolen the temple's treasure!"
"eh!?" Balcus looks surprised towards Kira. "you stole from the temple, Kira!?"
"What?" Kira looks confused as he didn't understand. "Temple's treasure? I didn't steal any treasure from the temple."
Seeing the confusion, the priest beside Zola decided to step in and had a very haughty expression towards Kira.
"Count Bartfort, you've suppressed a group of sky pirates before, correct?" she asked and Kira nodded in reply.
"I subdued as per requested from another noble household." Kira replied. "what of it?"
The priest's face turned red as she shouted. "Those sky pirates had taken a treasure from the temple! They must have had it! It's a necklace etched with the temple's crest!" she held up a paper in her left hand while her right hand pointed at Kira. "I have testimony that the sky pirates possessed it, and that you took it!"
"Necklace?" Kira spoke as he thought about it and remembered the peculiar necklace that he obtained from the Sky Pirates' boss. "That necklace?" he then looks at the priest. "I did obtain a necklace from the Sky Pirates, but that does not mean I could be labelled as a thief." He had a hardened gaze at the priest and Zola. "after all, it is in the Holfort Kingdom's law that I have the rights to own whatever treasure that I had obtained from the Sky Pirates who I subdued."
"Why you little?!" the priest looked more enrage to hear Kira's response to the point she slammed a hand to the table. "Since the temple's emblem was engraved on it, that should tell you to return it to the temple!"
Kira hardens his gaze even more as he finds her demand to be a bit irrational.
"Kira, I believe that you should give in to her demands." Hachi calls out to Kira on his communicator. "as much as it is within your rights to keep the treasure you collected, the temple has a high level of authority with the kingdom and therefore this could lead to trouble if you do not comply." A few beeps are then heard. "also, I have scanned the sky and found an army of Temple airships surrounding the island."
'do they plan to have war against me for some necklace?' Kira thought before he sighs and nodded. "very well, I shall retrieve the item but it shall take some time to find it."
Zola smirks victoriously at Kira after hearing his reply.
"very well." The priest spoke before smirking like Zola. "I've also heard that the count hoarded quite a lot of fortune. Preferably, you should donate your fortunes to the temple."
Zola agreed with the arrogant priest. "She's right. Nobles cannot disobey the temple. Even you, foreigner brat"
Kira hardened his gaze as he knew that the donation was just him giving them money that they wanted to have.
"I shall…think about it." Kira said before he turns and leaves the room.
Kira now walks in the hallway of the Bartfort new residence as he is going to get the so called Temple's treasure.
"Kira, you do not need to give any of your finances as donation to the Temple." Hachi told Kira on the communicator. "the donations is a mere demand for their own gain."
"I know." Kira replied while nodding before he glances to the side. "but my attention and curiosity is on how an old necklace can be considered a treasure for those people?"
"The information isn't completed but it is recorded in the kingdom's history that the necklace is needed for the choosing of the Saint." Hachi replied as Kira remembers the name from the day the AI found such information. "it is said that there are three magic items that are needed for one to be recognized as the Saint of the Holfort Kingdom. One is the necklace, a bracelet lost in time, and a magic staff that the temple possesses."
"basically saying, they heard that I found one of the Saint's items and are demanding it to be returned…" Kira spoke before sighing. "they could've just requested it from me instead of sending Zola."
"Agreed." Hachi replied before beeping. "But Kira, how will you retrieve the necklace from its new owner."
"I'm….still thinking about that." Kira spoke as he sighs.
After Kira got the treasures that the Sky Pirates had hoarded, he had donated a sum to the Bartfort Household and that included the necklace which found a new owner who is none other than Finley.
A few minutes later, Kira is looking a bit awkwardly panicked because he is facing Finley who is glaring at him hatefully.
" ." Finley stated each word very harshly as she looks angry at Kira.
"i-I'm sorry, Finley-san. But I really need to return the necklace to the Temple or there might be trouble." Kira said as Finley just huffed at him before looking away with her arms crossed on her chest.
"I got it and I wear it, that means it's mine!" Finley said with a big huff before she glances at Kira with her glare intensifying. "if they lost it and I got it, then that means it's mine!"
'and I thought Zola and her friends are the ones with shrewd and irrational personalities..' Kira thought as he is trying his best to get the necklace to be returned to the temple so that the Temple's priest would leave but trying to persuade Finley to do so proved to be very difficult.
"Finley, just give the necklace back to Kira-kun." Luce came in, the mistress of the Bartfort Family had heard the commotion from the hallway and had decided to step in to help Kira. The mother looks at her youngest daughter with a hard gaze while having her hands on her waist. "Kira-kun gave you the necklace and it was a mistake that he is apologizing for. He didn't know that the necklace was a lost treasure of the Temple and therefore he is doing what is right to get it to be returned."
Finley just huffs while looking away, still not wanting to give back the necklace.
While Luce tries to get Finley to give the necklace back, Hachi's little copter drone came hovering to Kira who turns to see it.
"Kira, how about we trade the necklace?" Hachi asks as the drone opens up a compartment that had a beautiful white necklace adorned with several shiny gems and diamonds to come hanging out. "I have quickly crafted this piece of jewelry using the factory's machinery. I believe this could be used as an item for trade."
"I see." Kira nods as he takes the necklace. "thanks, Hachi."
"just give it back!" Luce exclaimed at Finley who retorted with a big "NO!"
"F-Finley-san! How about I trade you this new necklace for the old one!?" Kira stepped in as he did his best to prevent a possible fight between mother and daughter. He stood in the middle and showed the necklace to the young girl. "since the Temple's necklace, it might be dirty and dusty in the gems and what not. You might want this new one which is ten times more prettier than that one. Right?"
Finley looks at the necklace as she wowed to see the gems and how pretty it looked.
"how about it?" Kira asks and Finley contemplates for a moment before she shrugs her shoulders and takes out the Temple's necklace that she is wearing under her shirt then traded it with the new one. "Thank you."
"please don't try to spoil her with more jewelries, Kira-kun." Luce said with a sigh, knowing that the problem would come again if Kira accidently give a lost treasure to Finley again.
"I'll try my best, Luce-san." Kira said with an awkward smile and chuckle.
After getting the necklace, Kira heads off as he was not going back to the living room where Zola and the priests are. He is going straight for the island's port where he knows a commanding officer might be present because of the army of airships that are surrounding the island.
"have you found him, Hachi?" Kira asks his AI friend who had informed him earlier on the whole fleet's numbers and positions.
"The fleet's commander is standing at the harbor with his men as we speak." Hachi reported. "I have informed him of your arrival."
"good." Kira nods. "thanks."
At the harbor of the island.
Kira faces and meets with the commander of the fleet who is a man looking to be in his forties and looking awfully tense for some reason.
"excuse me, are you the commander of the fleet?" Kira asks the commander who nodded.
"Yes. I lead this fleet." The man replied before having a firmed expression on his face. "Count Bartfort, if possible, I'd like to avoid any rough behavior. Could you please return the treasure of the temple?"
"of course." Kira replied before showing the necklace to him. "here it is."
The commander looks at the necklace before he calls one of his subordinates who is an appraiser to check it out.
"w-well?" the commander asked his subordinate who just shake his head a few times.
"t-there is no doubt!" he stated in surprise. "It's just like the legend had said! this is the lost treasure!"
"i-it's real!?" the commander looks very shocked as so did a few of his other subordinates.
"I'm glad that you have what you requested for, but on a side note; may I ask that you take the rest of your subordinates out of the Bartfort household's mansion?" Kira spoke while facing the commander. "I have returned the necklace but there are those who demanded that I also hand over the fortunes that I have made of my own earnings as well."
"T-That is inexcusable!" the commander exclaimed in surprise. "We only came here for the necklace. I'll soon get everyone to leave."
"Thank you." Kira nodded and the commander soon had a smile which confused him. "something wrong?"
"no, it's just that you are different from the rumors say you are." The commander stated and this got Kira's curiosity.
"Rumors?" Kira spoke in confusion.
"There are rumors that you were outrageously arrogant…" the commander spoke before sighing a bit. "But I suppose the saint being angry at you is reasonable, but you're calmer than what the rumors suggest."
"Saint?" Kira said as he is even more curious and confused because last he heard, there hasn't been a Saint in Holfort Kingdom for years since the first Saint. "The new Saint has been found?"
"yes, I believe you may know her." The commander nodded. "her name is Marie Fou Lafan, she showed up in the royal capital's temple with the similarly lost bracelet in her possession."
"Her?" Kira got more curious but at the same time sceptic because out of all the people he could believe to be the Saint of Holfort Kingdom, Marie turns to be the one who holds the title. "she is the Saint?"
"Indeed. She's a sacred user of healing magic, and her abilities already exceed that of the priests. The cane's response to Marie's…" The commander continues his explanation before being stopped by a subordinate who warned him of revealing too much which made him look embarrassed. "E-Excuse me. Now then, with this, we will withdraw. The priest will take these people and carry them back."
Kira nodded and watched them leave on their airships.
"She is the Saint?" Kira spoke while Hachi's drone came near him. "She had the bracelet which was said to have been lost?"
"Do you find this suspicious as well, Kira?" Hachi asked and Kira nodded.
"at first I thought she was someone I should leave be, but after what I heard?" Kira spoke as he started to have a bad feeling in his guts. "I don't think that option is available anymore."
some hours later at the Royal capital's Temple and in a room for noble visitors.
Marie is present as she sat on a sofa with her arms put behind the back and looked at a low table with her legs crossed.
"Hehe, I finally got it." Marie grins all victoriously while looking at the Saint's bracelet on her right wrist and then to the Saint's Necklace around her neck which had been retrieved from Kira. "both the Holy Bracelet, the Holy Necklace, and…" she looks at her side and sees the staff belonging only to the Saint. "The Saint's Cane. All three items needed to be declared the Saint in the game are all mine."
Marie speaks like she is some sort of mastermind to an evil plan which is succeeding.
"I took away the protagonist's position, but there's no problem with me being the saint in the first place. I mean, healing magic is my strong point. I worked hard to learn it." Marie spoke as she remembered her harsh life in her noble home where she had trained hard to master her healing magic which are all for the day she becomes the Saint. "In the cutscenes, things were okay as long as the saint prayed. so if anything happens, I can deal with them instead." She chuckles while waving her hair to the side. "So please let me have this, Olivia, since nothing good has ever happened to me up until now."
As she was thinking of the success of her plan, she instantly remembered Kira who was said to have the necklace in his possession first.
"That guy defeated the Sky Pirates and had the necklace.." Marie spoke in remembering what she was told when the Holy Necklace was retrieved. "Why did he know where to get it?" she started to get suspicious of Kira. "Is that guy like me?"
Marie started to think about Kira's current profile from how he is a Foreigner who is made a noble and a vassal knight to the Bartfort household and to the point he is currently a Count who possess a great amount of finance in the world.
"It was unnatural for someone to help Angelica when no one helped her in the game…" Marie spoke as she started to get more suspicious of Kira. "If he really is the same as me and plans to get in my way, I'll crush him! I won't forgive him!"
Enraged, Marie pondered about how she could get revenge.
"I'll make Julius the crowned prince, and I'll become the queen no matter what!" Marie exclaimed all pumped up. "The city of my dreams, a grand and luxurious life awaits me! I'll have beautiful men serving me and live almost every day lavishly!" she got up and raise a hand up. "I'll definitely find happiness in this world!"
Winter break has arrived, and we find ourselves at Kira's floating island.
Kira is found doing some work in the hangar as he is currently reprogramming the OS of the Strike that has been fully repaired to its full glory. The robots are doing a manual check on the Gundam's entire frame and systems with Hachi supervising.
Typing his fingers fast on the control panel board, Kira's eyes scans the monitor of his laptop that is showing the programs he is inputting into his Gundam's OS.
"Hachi, ensure that the Strike's Arms have been recalibrated in their Motion Sensitivity level at 49,5%" Kira spoke while checking the Strike's Arms that have been replaced after the battle against the Hyperion. "and also, check the Head's main camera along with the sub camera. We need to make sure that we have good visuals on the monitors in the cockpit."
"Roger." Hachi replied as the robots started to focus more on the Arms and the head of the Strike.
In the winter break, most students from Holfort would either go and have fun in the holiday while some continue to study and a few would go to the Dungeons to train due to circumstances that they wish to flee from but for Kira? He just goes back to his island doing his work on the Strike while also producing and selling the Armors and Airships he built himself.
"initiating movement of the Arms and visualization of main camera." Hachi stated as Kira watches how the Strike moves its arms down to the hands and fingers that move. "Movement of Arms have been calibrated as calibrated settings." The head of the Strike moved while its eyes lit up a yellow flash and the camera showed the images of its surroundings to the laptop's monitor that shows the clear images. "Strike's main camera adjustment completed, visual enhancements stable, functions at 100%"
"good." Kira nods with a smile before he starts to work on the other machinery in the hangar such as the new Skygrasper unit that had been rebuilt up from scratch. "now let's work on the Skygrasper Unit 02."
"Roger." Hachi replied before beeping and a drone came flying near Kira. "We have a guest who had come to the island, Kira."
"a Guest?" Kira asks in confusion. "Who is it?"
"I believe you may want to meet her yourself." Hachi replied and Kira got confused.
Some moments later, Kira came to the main house of his island which is a small but quite luxurious mansion that he had Hachi built to fit his accommodations.
Kira walks to his house and finds a figure wearing a brown cloak standing by the front door.
"hello?" Kira called out as he came near the cloaked figure. "Can I help you?"
The figure turns and let out a giggle which Kira notices to have sound very familiar.
"eh?" Kira looks at the cloaked figure who takes off the hood of the cloak and reveals that it was none other than Lacus herself. "Lacus!?"
"Surprise~!" Lacus said with a happy smiling face as she reveals her attire to be a plain white and pink sun dress along with wearing blueish white sandals and the cloak covering it all.
"Why are you here? Or rather how are you here?" Kira asks while coming near and holding her in his arms. The young man happy she is here but at the same time confused. "I thought that with you being the princess of the kingdom…"
"I had time to spare for the day, so i had decided to sneak out of the castle to come here." Lacus replies with a smile while hugging Kira before she smiles to Hachi's little drone that came hovering by. "all thanks to Hachi's help, of course."
"She had contacted me and requested for assistance a few days prior." Hachi stated to Kira. "and do not worry. I've made sure to not allow anyone to be suspicious of her sudden leave."
"really?" Kira asks while gently helping Lacus take off her cloak and gives it to a worker robot passing by.
"yes." Hachi replied because right now at the Holfort's royal castle and in a bedroom, there is Lacus just sitting by an opened window and reading a book but it is actually a hologram projected by a drone hovering in the air. "The Drone's hologram function has properly disguised Lacus' absence and no one has suspected a thing."
Kira understands with a nod before he smiles and Lacus who smiles back, both hugged each other even closer before sharing a quick kiss on the lips.
"and here I thought I needed to come to you.." Kira spoke as he and Lacus gently swayed side to side in their hug. The young man smiles and leans closer. "What a nice surprise."
"I know." Lacus giggles in response.
After a minute of hugging, Kira and Lacus separates and looked at each other while holding each other's hands.
"How can I be of service to my Princess today?" Kira asks with a playful smile. "My island has accommodations for a very enjoyable day."
"I see, then may I humbly request the Count to escort me on a tour?" Lacus replied in playing along.
"as you wish, my princess." Kira said before he and Lacus begins walking away while holding hands.
The two walked as Hachi's little drone followed behind in accompanying them.
Kira and Lacus had a stroll on the island, and the first place that they visited is the hangar where the Archangel, the Strike, the Skygraspers, and the Moebius Striker are all based upon.
"the Archangel…" Lacus whispers with a smile, seeing the legged mobile airship which she is fond of. "I'm so glad that I could see it once more." She glances to the side and sees the Strike at its base hangar. "and the Strike as well."
"I suppose the feelings are mutual when I found them as well." Kira said as he came near Lacus while holding something behind his back. "it was a surprise when I found them all stationed in the abandoned ruins of this island which still confuses me to this day."
"yes, but there have been times when people would find objects that are from our world." Lacus nods, understanding what Kira mean. She looks up and remembers times when she was growing up, nobles come to meet the King while showing objects like weapons and other oddities that are so called to be relics of the past. She then looks at the Archangel. "but not like the Archangel and the others."
"I guess so." Kira nods before he smiles and goes near Lacus. "I believe I have a relic of yours that I wish to return."
"of mine?" Lacus asks as she sees Kira slowly pulling his hands out of his back and held out her Pink Haro that activates and begins jumping which made her smile happily. "Pink-chan!"
"Haro~! Haro~! This is bad~!" Haro cried out before the little ball jumps into Lacus' hands. "Haro~! This is bad~!"
"Me and Hachi did our very best to repair it and also upgrade it." Kira said with a smile as he watches the pink ball now jumping around Lacus before hopping back into her arms. "it's a bit annoying to hear its voice but after a year of not hearing it, I can't help but feel nostalgic to hear it once more."
"Thank you, Kira." Lacus thanked Kira, happy to have her little friend back with her.
Kira nods before he turns to see Hachi's little drone coming near him.
"Kira, the repairs for the Strike, the Skygrasper Unit 02, the Moebius Striker, and the Archangel are almost finished." Hachi spoke out. "I can handle the rest of the needed maintenance."
"are you sure?" Kira asks.
"yes." Hachi's little drone made a nod gesture. "You have worked hard for the past few days, Kira. please prioritize your time with Lacus here."
Kira looks at the drone and smiles gratefully before he turns towards Lacus.
"Lacus, what do you say about having a picnic at a special place on the island?" Kira asks. "I can assure you that you will have the best time there." He then points a finger up. "and afterwards, how about a dip at the hotspring on my island? It's become quite popular."
"sounds lovely." Lacus replies with a smile while Haro yelled "The best!" while hopping into the princess's hands.
"I shall have the necessary items for the picnic prepared in a minute." Hachi stated before the AI's drone flies away.
"Thanks, Hachi." Kira thanked the AI for the consideration before he and Lacus held hands and then walked out of the hangar.
About half an hour later, at the forest area of the island and at opening where there is a lake.
Lacus came walking near the shorelines and just looks amazed with the beautiful sight of such a serene and clear lake filled with life.
"it's beautiful…" Lacus whispers while Kira comes near and gently held her shoulders from the back.
"It was a swamp at first, but me and Hachi cleaned it up to make it like this." Kira said with a smile to Lacus. "after all, I once planned to show it to you once I found you."
Hearing his words, Lacus smiles to Kira and both leaned close and watch the lake's serene waters together while ignoring Haro's annoying cries.
After a stroll around the lake, admiring the sceneries of the forest and the small wildlife living amongst them. Kira and Lacus decided to sit down and have a picnic by the shorelines, their needed items came delivered by Hachi who had a pair of worker robots come and deliver a straw picnic basket and a pink and red picnic blanket.
Setting the picnic blanket on the grass and the prepared snacks which are sandwiches and a thermos filled with warm tea, Kira and Lacus sat together and had a good time in their picnic.
"So, you're actually the Half Sister of Julius?" Kira spoke with a surprised look at Lacus who nodded while holding a cup of tea on her lap. The young man had a conversation with his princess about each other's lives after arriving to the world they are in. she had just told him about some important factors in her life as the princess of Holfort Kingdom, one of them would be the fact that she is the half sister of Julius, born from one of the King's concubines.
"I don't have any memories of who gave birth to me and I believe that is for the best." Lacus spoke before sighing as she smiles a bit sadly. "after all, the only one who can be my mother is…"
Kira looks at Lacus as he could see the sadness in her eyes. The young man frowns before he goes near the princess, he leans close to her while gently wrapping an arm around her shoulder.
"You don't have to say anymore." Kira whispers before giving her a peck on the forehead. "I don't care if you are the child of a concubine or anything, you're Lacus Clyne. The woman who saved my life and the one I love with all my heart." He reaches his left hand to her cheeks and gently caresses them. "please remember that."
Lacus smiles to hear his words and affection as she nodded before she leans her head close to his shoulder.
After comforting Lacus, the two continued to have their picnic together but they set aside their sandwiches and tea for a little R&R time together by just lying on the picnic blanket. Both laid by each other's side and stare to the blue sky littered with puffy white clouds.
"Lacus, I know that this isn't the appropriate time to ask but…" Kira spoke before he turns his head to look at Lacus. "do you regret coming to this world?"
"Why you ask?" Lacus replied while turning her head towards Kira.
"this world….even though it is not the world we know. I can't help but feel happy to come here." Kira said before looking back to the sky. "The peaceful time that we are having…it couldn't be found in our old world. I want to return to our world and get back to everyone, but…"
Lacus looks at Kira as she turns and looks to the sky while having an understanding look.
"I grew fond of this world as well." Lacus spoke softly as she stares to the clouds moving in the sky. "The decade I spent in growing up in this world just made me experience the peace that we had lost in our own world." Her gaze softens. "but at the same time, I miss our world." She turns her head and smiles lovingly to Kira. "The world where we first met."
Kira turns to look at Lacus as he smiles back to her, the young man feeling happy to know that his princess cares much of their time together in their original world than in their current world.
"I don't know how we came to this world and the positions we are at." Kira whispers while turning his body and then gently pulls Lacus close to him. "but I promise that we'll get back to our world someway. Someday."
"Someday.." Lacus whispers as she smiles before she shared a quick kiss with Kira and leans close into his hug. "For sure."
"This is bad~! This is bad~!" Haro cried out while jumping around before turning when Tori came flying by.
An hour later, at the hotspring area.
Lacus came to the hotspring while wearing a towel wrapped around her body, and a towel around her tied pink hair. The princess had taken a quick bath to clean herself and now slowly soaks herself into the warm water which made her let out a pleased and satisfied moan.
"How is the water, Lacus?!" Kira called out from over the fence as he is also taking a dip in the hotspring. "Good?!"
"More than good~!" Lacus replied as she gently splashed some water to her shoulders before to her face. "The water is soothing!"
"that's good to hear." Kira said with a smile, pleased that his princess is enjoying his island's hotspring.
While the two were taking their time in the hotspring, some worker robots were cleaning their clothing and quickly prepping them to be used again.
Lacus hums a song while enjoying her time in the hotspring water, Kira hears her humming and smiles to hear it.
As Kira listens to her humming, Hachi's little drone came hovering near the young man.
"Kira, I have some news to tell you." Hachi spoke. "it is regarding some letters that had arrived today."
"please. If it's from those fan girls and others? Just throw them away." Kira said, already tired of thinking what to do with more letters from fan girls. "I want to spend this day with Lacus and not with…"
"they are not from your fans or other girls, Kira." Hachi stated before another drone came flying in while carrying a bunch of letters wrapped with a piece of rope attached to its bottom part. "they are from Angelica-san and the others."
"from Angie and the others?" Kira said while raising an eyebrow. The young man taking the letters and then going to the edge of the hotspring while checking the senders. "from Angie, Clarice-senpai, and Jenna-san?"
Kira takes the first letter which is from Angie, he reads the content and it's an invitation from the Redgrave daughter to her home as she wishes to have him and Olivia to come and learn horse riding which is an important practical class for their second year. He takes Clarice's letter and it's a request from her to come to his island during winter as she wishes to have some time off with her followers. The last letter which is from Jenna is just a letter to ask him to accompany her to the royal capital for shopping items needed for the Bartfort household.
"What shall you do with them?" Hachi asks.
"I'll reply to them after the day with Lacus." Kira said as he stacked the letters and wrapped it with rope then got the other drone to take them away. "in the meantime, can you prepare some of the new motorbikes for Dan-senpai and the others when they come? I need their thoughts on upgrading them accordingly to their reviews."
"understood." Hachi replied before the AI's drone flies away.
"Kira? Is there something wrong?" Lacus called out to Kira, the princess asking after hearing his voice speaking.
"nothing." Kira replied. "was just talking to Hachi about some things."
"is that so?" Lacus said. "something serious?"
"nothing serious, just letters that needs to be replied." Kira said before he gets out of the hotspring. "I'll be going out first, Lacus. Enjoy your time in the hotspring."
"alright" Lacus replies as Kira steps out, already satisfied with his dip into the warm waters.
About a few hours later, the day was almost gone as the sun was setting off the horizon.
At the port of the floating island, Kira is seeing off Lacus who has to return to the Holfort Castle.
"I really wish I could stay here with you, Kira." Lacus spoke while putting on her cloak. The pink princess frowns a bit sadly while gently caressing Kira's right cheek. "but I have my duties as the Holfort Kingdom's first princess."
"I know." Kira replies with a smile while holding her hand to his cheek and then gives a kiss on her knuckles. "but knowing that either you and I can be at each other's side at any time of the day, that is enough to satisfy me." He leans close and gives a kiss to Lacus' forehead. "Who knows? Maybe I?"
"I'd love that." Lacus replied before sharing a kiss with Kira that lasted only a minute. "I'll prep tea for that day."
"This is bad, Lacus!" Haro cried out while rolling around the ground.
Kira chuckles before having another kiss with Lacus.
Afterwards, Kira escorts Lacus to a small airship which the princess had used to come to the island in the first place.
"Kira, before I leave." Lacus spoke as she stands and faces Kira. "I need to tell you something. It is of great importance for you."
"What is it?" Kira asks with a raised eyebrow.
"in the royal court, there are many high ranked nobles who have dissatisfaction against you." Lacus spoke while frowning a bit. "many belonged to the Marquis Frampton's faction. That man dislikes you being a noble because of you being a foreign commoner." She then looks to the sky and the setting sun. "They have been giving out complaints on the Feudal lord's existence for quite some time. Your arrival just pushed their complaints even further." She turns back to Kira. "Please remember to be safe, Kira. I don't know what Marquis Frampton and his factions will do in trying to get rid of you and taking the Archangel and the rest of your possessions. Please take care of yourself."
"I see, I understand." Kira replies while nodding before he reaches out a hand and gently caresses Lacus' cheeks. "I'll look out for him and his factions." He pecks her forehead and smiles. "I promise."
Lacus smiles before giving him a kiss on the cheeks and then puts the hood of her cloak over her head.
Afterwards, Kira is waving a hand goodbye to Lacus who is riding away her airship and heads straight for the Royal Castle with the accompany of Haro and several worker robots controlled by Hachi that are for her protection.
As Kira watches Lacus' little airship shrinking into the distance, Hachi's little copter drone came hovering near him.
"Kira, I have some collected information regarding this Marquis Frampton." Hachi stated as Kira's phones beeps a few times, the young man takes it out and the screen shows photos of the named Marquis. "Age 67, rank Marquis, and positioned in the royal court as the Minister of Defense and the one responsible for the diplomat affairs of the kingdom and other nations. There have been some reports of his wealth increasing after the Redgrave Household had lost some standing in the noble society."
"he's a corrupt noble?" Kira asks.
"The possibility is high." Hachi replied. "would you like to have more information collected on him?"
"Please do." Kira nods as he turns and looks at the sun setting. "if Lacus says that he is trying to get rid of me, I'm certain that I need to find ways to protect myself." He then realized something and sighs. "right, I forgot to tell her."
"forgot to tell what to who?" Hachi asks.
"I forgot to tell Lacus about the Saint." Kira said as he started to check something on his phone which projected images of Marie and the Temple priests. "I needed to know more about the situation regarding the two."
"Why so?" Hachi asks. "it is not of a problem for us if the Temple designates Marie Fou Lafan as the Saint of Holfort Kingdom, correct?"
"it's not, but something tells me that there is something wrong in this whole situation." Kira replied as he started to type a message to be sent to Lacus' phone. The message containing everything he has on about the saint and a request for her assistance. He sent the message and looks at Hachi's drone. "I'm sceptic if she really is the Saint or not."
"does this have to do with the fact that she has the Lost magic bracelet which she possessed beforehand?" Hachi asks and Kira nods. "perhaps it is a curiously confusing situation as you speak."
"I don't know if this is something bad or not, I just know that she's not someone fitting to be the Saint." Kira said before he looks to the sky that now turned dark. "I just know it."
As Kira watches the night sky, Tori came flying by and perched onto his shoulder. The mechanical bird looks at its owner before to the sky where it soon flew off to.
