A few days later, at the Duke Redgrave's floating island and in the domain of their mansion.
There is a large horseback riding facility near the residence and Kira is present because he was invited to come by Angelica for some lessons in horse riding. He along with the Duke's daughter and Olivia wear Jodhpurs which are the fitting clothes for the occasion.
Currently, he and Angelica are watching Olivia who is riding a white horse and seems very frightened in riding the stallion.
"See? There's nothing to be afraid of." Angelica said with a smile at Olivia's shaking stature.
"It's high up here!" Olivia cried out while looking more scared. "It's higher than I thought!"
"it's not really that high.." Kira chuckles with an awkward smile.
"Second year students will have practical tests like these as well, not just academic tests." Angelica said while stopping the horse from moving anymore. "You should get accustomed to this, if you want to pass the second-year tests, Livia."
Olivia made a defeated noise while trembling. The short hair blonde not having trouble with academic materials from literatures and alike, but practical materials are always troubling her.
Kira had arrived at the island almost an hour ago and he has started to follow with the horseback riding lessons with Angelica and Olivia. There was no instructor needed because the Redgrave daughter had already learned beforehand.
"Now then." Angelica said as she helped Olivia get down from the horse. She turns to Kira and smiles to him. "How about you give it a go, Kira?"
"I guess I don't get a choice." Kira said while scratching the back of his head before he went to the horse, gently combing its mane a few times, and then caresses its head. He got one foot on one stirrup before he hoists himself up and sits on the stallion's leather saddle. "and here we go!"
"let's go and do it nice and easy." Angelica said as she combs the horse's mane a few times before she went and got on the saddle with Kira. The duke pressing herself close to the young man's back while holding his hands from behind. "now take the reins and gently whip them to command her to go."
"right…" Kira blushes as he can feel Angelica's bossoms pressing against his back. He takes the reins and gently whip them once and got the horse to start moving around the field. "all around the field?"
"all around the field." Angelica replied, smiling while leaning close to Kira's back. "just take your time."
"o-okay.." Kira replied, feeling his back getting warm from Angelica's back hug.
The horse moves around the field as Angelica was having a good moment with Kira while Livia looks rather jealous from the side lines. The timid girl frowning before she shakes her head and huffs a bit, looking determined to do something.
"Keep a straight posture, Kira." Angelica whispers as she wraps her arms around Kira's waist. "and also try to lean back a bit."
"a-alright.." Kira replies, straightening his posture that made Angelica smile because of feeling more of his body on hers. "is that enough?"
"very." Angelica said with a giggle while gently caressing Kira's stomach. "very much."
"Angie…not too.." Kira looks more embarrassed and more nervous because Angelica's hands were tickling his stomach. "hey.."
Angelica giggles while stopping her actions and just continues to enjoy the young man's warmth on her.
The two rides the horse for a few rounds around the field before stopping when Kira felt like he had enough.
"Nicely done." Angelica said with a smile, proud that her friend got the ropes on riding the horse. "and just by learning first hand."
"I guess I have to thank my teacher?" Kira replied with a smile to Angelica who giggles before she leans up, turns his face to the side, and takes his lips for a deep kiss which surprised him. "mgh!?"
Olivia gasps with her hands to her mouth and her cheeks going red, the girl sees the kiss that Angelica and Kira are in and that surprised her.
After a minute of the deep kiss, Angelica separated and looks at Kira with a happy blushing smile.
"A-Angie.." Kira mumbled out, deeply in daze and surprise from the kiss. "w-why.."
He was stopped from saying another word by Angelica who placed a finger to his lips.
"a reward for being a good student." Angelica said before she went and gives a peck to his cheek. "and that's another reward for saving me and everyone back then."
Kira's face went red as he was really flustered from Angelica's actions.
A minute later, Kira and Angelica got down from the horse. The latter having a pleased and happy smile on her face while the young man still having his embarrassed face.
"u-um!" Olivia came to them while looking nervous yet determined. "I-I want to try again! Riding the horse!"
"alright, let me.." Angelica was about to help but Olivia went to Kira and held his hands. "eh?"
"Please help me learn, Kira-san!" Olivia said. "Please!"
"Eh? Me?" Kira looks confused as he scratches the back of his head. "I know that I just learned and mastered the basics, that doesn't make me a good teacher and all, Livia."
"I know! But I believe I can learn better with you who is a fellow student as well!" Olivia replied while huffing once. "I definitely can!"
Kira looks rather awkward with Olivia's determined expression, him not knowing why she was acting in such a way.
"o-okay?" Kira replied.
Before long, both are back on the horse but this time Kira is sitting behind Olivia who is looking more bashful and nervous than before.
"Livia, you need to hold the reins." Kira told Olivia who nodded shyly while nervously holding the horse' reins. The young man sweatdrops to see how she was holding the reins. "um….are you feeling alright, Livia? If you're still nervous, we can just.."
"n-no! I'm fine! Just nervous for a moment!" Olivia cried out while shaking her head. "p-please continue the lesson!"
Kira nods with a confused face as he continues to help her ride the horse around the field.
Angelica watches from the sideline, her arms are crossed under her chest and her expression rather complicated.
'I knew that I wasn't the only one after that night.' Angelica thought with a small sad smile. 'but…even though it's you, Livia. I can't help but feel fine with it.'
Angelica stays silent after sighing, the blonde just continues to watch her friends riding the horse.
Some days later, at the Holfort Kingdom's royal capital.
Kira is present upon the streets and is carrying some bags filled with clothes belonging to Jenna who is taking him all places far and wide.
"oh~! A new brand of clothes came out from this shop~!" Jenna said with an amazed face before she pulls Kira's right arm. "let's go in here next~!"
"w-wait!" Kira cried out before he was pulled right into the shop and came out half an hour later with more bags filled with clothes. He sighs tiredly. "Jenna-san."
"yes?" Jenna replied while looking all carefree and happy.
"don't you think you have bought enough clothing for today?" Kira asks while holding up the shopping bags in his hands. "I mean, you don't need this much, right?"
"What are you saying?" Jenna asks while holding her right hand up and begins counting with her fingers. "some of those clothes are for summer, winter, fall, and spring. Then there are some for the school's after break, and then…"
Jenna goes on and Kira's expression grew tired.
'Girls and their shopping addiction…' Kira thought as he remembered a time in his world when he and his friends are going out at a mall that they left after six hours which is all caused by Miriallia and her other female friends who went on a shopping free. 'now I remember why Tolle always avoided malls back when we hang out..'
"oh~! Let's go there next!" Jenna squealed as she went to a nearby hat store where one hat caught her interest.
Kira sighs tiredly as he is sure that he'll be in the capital for the entire day.
Just as Kira was about to go near Jenna, he noticed a little girl wearing a nearly torn yet patched up clothes and selling roses, but no one was buying.
Kira frowns to see this as he went and placed down the shopping bags to where Jenna is then goes straight for the little girl.
"please buy some roses.." the little girl pleaded with nearby people to buy her roses but no one paid any attention until Kira came to her.
Kira walked up to her and then kneeled to the little girl's height while showing a friendly and kind smile.
"those are some nice roses." Kira said while seeing the straw basket filled with roses that the little girl has with her. He smiles while taking out a small sack filled with gold coins as he takes out 20 coins and shows them to her. "Can you sell them all to me?"
"b-but the roses are only worth a copper coin and…" the little girl said while looking nervous.
"it's fine. I love flowers and yours look very nice." Kira said with a short chuckle as he gently caresses the little girl's head. "may I know your name?"
"Samantha." The little girl introduced herself. "Samantha Rose."
"Samantha Rose, huh? That's a nice name." Kira smiles with a chuckle while patting the little girl's head before he tilts his head to the side and asks. "Samantha, can I ask you why you are selling roses on your own?" he then looks at the surroundings before back to the little girl. "Where are your parents?"
Samantha soon frowns sadly, and Kira looks confused.
"I don't have parents…" Samantha muttered out sadly. "I live in an orphanage..but…it's going poor." She tears up a bit before wiping them away. "everyone is getting hungry and…that's why I'm selling roses.."
Kira frowns to hear the little girl's situation as he caresses her head.
"You're a very brave and kind girl to be doing this, Samantha." Kira said as he gently takes her right hand and gives her the gold coins he has. "for your kind deeds, I'll buy your roses and promise that you and the rest of the children at your orphanage won't ever go hungry."
"really?" Samantha asks and Kira nods.
"I promise." Kira said before he turns his head to the right side as Hachi's little drone appears. "Hachi."
"I shall prepare all the necessities to support the orphanage." Hachi said as Kira nods in gratitude before he looks at the little girl who seems surprised and nervous to see Hachi's drone.
"Samantha, this little guy's name is Hachi. He's a friend." Kira said with a smile while Hachi's drone floats around all funny to ease the child's discomfort. "He's going to help me in helping you and your orphanage."
"Really? How?" Samantha asks while looking at Hachi's drone.
"Please lead me to your orphanage and I shall help you." Hachi replied after beeping a few times. "I promise that you and the rest of the children won't ever feel hungry."
Samantha looks concerned for a moment before she nods.
Afterwards, Kira waves goodbye to Samantha who is walking away with Hachi following. The young man smiles at the little girl before he looks at a bouquet of roses that he purchased from her.
Kira smiles seeing how the roses are well grown and he knew that Samantha or someone must've raised them well.
"hey! Kira-kun~!" Jenna's voice is soon heard as the brunette came to Kira while looking all huffed because she is carrying all the shopping bags that was left behind. "what gives!? leaving me behind!?"
"I'm sorry, Jenna-san." Kira said with a small smile as he looks back at the roses. "I just saw these nice roses that I wanted to buy."
"I notice." Jenna said as she looks at the small figure of Samantha walking away and soon disappearing amongst the crowd. She looks back at Kira. "you do know that if you bought roses from those types of people, they'll just come and keep bothering you to buy them, right?" she sighs while shaking her head. "you should never buy roses of all things from them. They're like super cheap, and you could get them at a flower shop."
"I know, but these roses are possibly the most beautiful roses I seen today." Kira said as he looks at the roses and sees a butterfly just flying by and perched on one of the roses. He smiles as he looks at the insect that soon flies away. "they may come in bundles at many flower shops, but these ones which Samantha just sold to me were raised carefully with love and therefore I wanted to buy them." He then turns to Jenna. "please understand that there are things that may not seem as it is, Jenna-san." He held up the bouquet. "these roses are more beautiful than expensive dresses sold from the nearby stores. The beauty of these roses will linger forever in my memories but the products of luxuries won't." he begins to take the shopping bags from Jenna and then begins walking away. "and please remember that Samantha is a person like us who is struggling with her life, therefore we have to aid with whatever kindness we can give. Just that is enough."
Kira walks away as Jenna stands in her place, looking a bit baffled and dazed.
"Are you coming?" Kira asks Jenna after stopping to see if she was following him or not.
Jenna snapped out of her thoughts before she nodded her head slowly and followed Kira who soon continued to walk away.
'I thought I understood Kira-kun, but after seeing him be like that..' Jenna thought as she saw something in Kira's eyes as he was giving her a lecture. He saw compassion, kindness, and also anger that is possibly directed at her. 'I guess I haven't fully understood him…'
Time passes as a week later, there is snow raining upon Kira's floating island that is covered in the white powder.
Kira is currently at the hangar, working on making some adjustments to his Airbike; the Bluehawk, all while Hachi is working on the motorbikes he and the young man built together.
Turning and pulling a wrench to tighten a bolt, Kira finished the needed adjustment as he puts the tool into the toolbox beside him and wipes his sweat with a small towel around his neck.
"That should do it." Kira said as he turned on the airbike's engine and listened to its roar that repeatedly sounded each time he pulled the throttle and brake at the same time. "Nice sound."
Kira did a few more tinkering before he finished when he is satisfied with the work.
"Repairs for all motorbikes have been completed." Hachi reported to Kira as his little drone comes near the young man. "all engine function stable and properly."
"and their brakes and throttles?" Kira asks while cleaning his hands of oil with a towel.
"Functioning properly." Hachi replied before beeping a few times. "Kira, we have guests coming to the island. It is Clarice and her followers." The drone then projected an image showing a live recording of an airship docking to the island and upon it are his seniors wearing winter clothes. "shall I lead them to their rooms?"
"Please do." Kira said as he throws the towel to the side. "if they need me, tell them that I'm taking a bath."
"Understood." Hachi replied before the drone flied away.
At Kira's house which is located near the Hangar, Clarice and her followers come waking in as they carried their luggage while hurrying inside the warm home.
"brrr~! Winter is so cold~!" Clarice shivers as she hugs herself to get more warmth. "even with the winter coat, it's still so cold~!"
"that's very agreeable, Milady." Dan said, him carrying Clarice's luggage with his own.
"Please help yourselves with hot cocoa to increase your body temperature." Hachi's drone came hovering by as two worker robots carrying trays of hot cocoa filled mugs followed. "please leave your luggage to the side and follow me to your rooms. All rooms have been prepped for your accommodations."
"thank you, Hachi-kun." Clarice thanked the AI with a smile while holding a mug of warm cocoa in hand. She took a sip and sighed in satisfaction before looking around the house's interior and then at the drone. "where's Kira-kun by the way?"
"He is currently bathing after doing some work on the motorbikes." Hachi replied.
"Can we borrow them afterwards?" a random follower asks before being shushed by Dan.
"Hey! That's rude!" Dan scolded his friend.
"The motorbikes have just been given maintenance and are not completely available for function in the snow." Hachi replied before projecting an image of the hangar and a group of modern snow mobiles. "however, we have just made new snow mobiles, vehicle specifically made for winter as they are able to thread through snow with ease. We still need to get data to make adjustments for their functionality." The image appears and the AI sees the interested, excited, and curious faces from Dan and the others. "would you like to test them out afterwards?"
"PLEASE!" Dan and the others cried out, their inner racer instinct going crazy excited to ride an unknown vehicle that could give them a thrill.
"Why do I get the feeling that Kira-kun made them when I sent my letter to him?" Clarice asks while sweatdropping in seeing how her followers are acting like children.
"He just had the time to make them when he heard winter is coming and snow piling on his island." Hachi replied while beeping a few times.
Half an hour later, upon the snow-covered land. It is all calm and peaceful before the sound of engine roaring is heard and then a snowmobile came rushing through and is followed by several others.
"this is awesome!" The first snowmobile had Dan riding on it. The Airbiker wears specially made winter uniform and protective gear as he rides his vehicle and threads through the snow with ease.
"don't let him overtake us like in the matches!" "this time, I'll be the fastest one there is!" "get him!" The other rider followed as they chased after Dan who goes along a snowfield.
As the rider go off, Clarice is spotted walking by.
Clarice wears a winter uniform that is orange and red, along with a winter hat to complete it.
"Why do I get the feeling that they'll make an excuse to come here from time to time just have fun on those bikes?" Clarice said with a sigh that turns into a puff of white in the cold air. She then turns and looks at Kira who came walking nearby. "I'm starting to get worried about their image if they get to be so excited with your creations, Kira-kun."
"I'm sorry about that, Clarice-senpai." Kira awkwardly smiles and chuckles. The young man having met with his senior after his bath and offered to take her around his island during winter. "but I really do need to hear their comments on the snow mobiles' functionality from them."
"No wonder those guys gets excited when I told them that we're going to your island." Clarice sighs with a smile while shaking her head.
Kira and Clarice began walking around the island while watching snowplow moving out the pile of snow to make a walking path.
"You know, things at the capital been going crazy." Clarice said with a glance at Kira. "Especially the talk about the esteemed Hero of the kingdom."
"I see." Kira replied. "I've heard that there are some negative criticism towards me, is that correct?"
"rather than negative criticism, they're trying to do something against you." Clarice said sighing while closing her eyes. "I don't know what Marquis Frampton and his faction are thinking of doing in the court. They should be focusing on the diplomatic peace meeting with Fanoss instead of being paranoid on you."
"I've heard" Kira replied before he looks at the snow falling from the sky. "Perhaps they are the nobles who share the view that foreigners like me are untrustworthy?" he then looks down. "I have to be honest that I would rather be paranoid if I were in their position."
"I guess so." Clarice nods slightly before shaking her head and then smiling at Kira. "but they got to change their minds when they see who you really are."
"Who I really am?" Kira asked and Clarice nodded again.
"Yeah" Clarice looked to the snowy sky and smiled. "You're someone who is always there when someone is in need of help, you help people because you want to, and you meddle into trouble just to protect people." She then looks at Kira with a smile. "if you're not called a hero for that, then those nobles with Marquis Frampton are a bunch of idiots."
"I see." Kira replied before smiling. "Thank you for your words, Clarice-senpai."
Clarice nodded with a smile in return.
Both continued going around the island, chatting about various topics, watching some birds flying away from their winter nests, and viewing the scenery of the snowy land.
At one point, the two came to the small lake of the island where the water had become frozen solid.
"This must've gotten frozen all over." Clarice said, seeing her reflection on the ice. "Winter can be so frightening…"
"Indeed." Kira said while going near and checking out the frozen water, he taps it a few times and sees that the winter's cold had froze it fully. "I'll get Hachi and some robots here to work on melting the ice later on."
Clarice nods before she smiles when she got an idea.
"hey! How about we do some skating first?" Clarice asks while looking towards Kira. "on the frozen lake."
"skating on the frozen lake?" Kira said while blinking his eyes twice before he looks at the frozen lake. He checks it and nodded his head slowly. "well, with the water frozen solid we don't have to worry about it breaking on our weight on it."
"right?" Clarice said before she turns and begins running off. "I brought some ice skates with me! I'll go and get them!"
Kira watches Clarice leaves before he turns and looks at his reflection on the frozen lake.
A few minutes later, Clarice is skating on the frozen lake as she goes around the lake in a circle before she did a slow spin and turns with a smile towards Kira.
"Come on, Kira-kun~! It's fun~!" Clarice called out to her junior who looks rather awkward and nervous because he is barely keeping his balance on the ice skate.
"how do i?" Kira tries to move from his spot but he could barely move an inch forward. "do i? wha!?" he begins to move but at a rather slow and frantic pace. "wow! Wowowo!"
As Kira was waving his hands around in trying to balance himself on the ice, Clarice who was watching, could only smile and giggle in laughter to see that the one Knight who defeated the Fanoss' military forces, fumbling so clumsily on ice skates.
Kira moves around clumsily on the ice before Clarice came and helped him out.
"I got you." Clarice said while helping Kira stand up straight on the ice and balancing himself. "come on, stand up straight."
"yes…" Kira replies while trying to keep his legs straight and not slipping. "t-this is kinda hard…"
"everyone is like that during their first time." Clarice said with a smile as she begins to pull Kira and move upon the ice. "come on, one leg at a time."
"w-wait!" Kira cried out. "i-I'm not ready yet!"
Clarice begins to teach Kira how to skate on the ice as she is having a fun time considering that the ultimate coordinator is making her laugh with how he needs to wave his hands around each time he is going to fall.
Twenty minutes later, Kira is skating on the frozen lake like a seasoned skater alike with the time he learned riding a horse with Angelica and Olivia.
"you're not bad once you learned how to do it." Clarice said, watching how Kira goes around the lake in a circle before he stops near her. "or rather, you're getting better than me."
"perhaps." Kira said with a smile before he goes around. "I never knew that skating was fun before I tried it."
"you never skated before?" Clarice asks. "I mean, like you never thought of trying it at all?"
"not really." Kira said before he stops and then looks to the sky and the raining snow. "I could never have the chance when the war back at my land started." He sighs softly while closing his eyes when he remembers the time when Orb was destroyed and he could only see smoke filling the blue sky and polluting it. "there was no rest there, only battle and that's it."
Clarice looks at Kira, frowning a bit sadly to hear how his life was never like hers or any others.
"but after coming here." Kira spoke out as he opened his eyes and smiles to see the snow covered surrounding, his smile grew when he sees a pair of white rabbits popping their heads out of the snow, looking towards him before they ran off. "I'm glad to have experience things that I have yet to experience at all."
Seeing his smile, Clarice smiled as well. Liking to see the smile on the young man who had helped her and many others before.
"Then how about we try to go for a twirl?" Clarice asks while going near Kira and then holding his hand. "you want to experience lots of fun in skating, right?"
"yes, but….wha!?" Kira was then pulled along by Clarice who goes around the lake, skating with fun in mind. "wait a second, Clarice-senpai!"
"come on! Come on! Pick up the pace!" Clarice giggles in laughter as she pulls Kira along in skating, but due to her forcefulness, she tripped and fell forward. "wha!?"
"Look out!" Kira cried out as he quickly speeds up and catches Clarice before he turns and got his back to fall to the ice. Both slide across the lake and then hits a pile of snow at the edge.
More snow piled on top as they actually hit near a tree that shakes and the snow covered branches all fell.
It took a few seconds before Clarice came out and pushes the snow away while shaking her head to get the snow on her hair to fall off.
"sorry, Kira-kun! I tripped and all!" Clarice said as she gets up and then helps Kira afterwards.
"it's fine." Kira said while dusting the snow off his shoulders. "I'm just glad that you didn't trip first."
"Yeah, thanks." Clarice said with an awkward smile. "We should go now, it's freezing and..wha!?" as soon as she was adjusting herself, she slipped and pulled Kira with her. "kya!"
Now the position is Kira hovering over Clarice, both of their faces really close and their cheeks are slowly going red.
"ah…s-sorry…" Kira muttered out and Clarice made a small confirming noise.
'this is way close~!' Clarice screamed in her mind, her imagination going wild on the idea of their lips coming closer and closer. 'if this goes any further!' but she suddenly got the idea of a life with Kira as her boyfriend and possibly her fiancé in the future. 'he's nice, kind, handsome, and ranked as a count. I know that Angie and Livia likes him too and that he has someone in his heart, but if I just tried as hard as I could then maybe…'
Both stayed in their positions for who knows how long before they heard a large pile of snow falling nearby that got their attention.
"eh?" Kira and Clarice made a single confused noise in unison as they had turned to see Dan and the others nearby. The rider just standing and watching in silence while looking very awkward, and embarrassed. "eh?"
"p-please don't mind us…" Dan and others spoke in unison while awkwardly making an exit.
Finally understanding that they were watched, Kira and Clarice quickly separates while having embarrassed faces.
"come back here!" Clarice shouted as Dan and the others nervously hides behind some trees. "how long were you guys watching!? And how long have you been there the whole time!?"
"w-well…we decided to have a break from riding the snow mobiles and we stopped by here…" "We were just going around before finding you two skating." "we thought of joining, but since Clarice-sama is having a good time with the Count…" "it was rude to intrude…" Clarice followers spoke one by one while having awkward smiles.
"Milady has been saying that she wants some time with the Count, so we decided to just watch…" Dan said while scratching the back of his head and having an embarrassed smile.
Clarice hears their explanation and could only react with her face going red.
"w-we'll be excusing ourselves now.." Dan said as he and the others go for another exit but was stopped by Clarice who began to furiously throw snowballs at them.
"Come back here!" Clarice screams as she chases her followers who began running away while leaving behind Kira who is sweatdropping.
Afterwards, the days pass after Clarice's visit.
Kira is having a normal day on his island as he is just relaxing after a hard day's work at the hangar. The young man finished working on his Mobile Suit, the Archangel, and the various equipment on it. He is currently at his house and is just sitting around on a couch in the living room area, drinking ice cold fresh lemonade while reading a book in hand.
He flips the next page and then took a sip of his drink before sighing.
"if only these peaceful days had come to my world…" Kira whispers as he close his book and then leans against the couch's arm rest. He looks to the ceiling before he place an arm over his forehead. "then perhaps my world would've been more peaceful…"
As Kira continues his peaceful time in the living room, he hears his phone ringing by the table.
Kira sits up on the couch and then picks up his phone to see who the caller is and it's Lacus.
"Lacus." Kira smiles as he picks up the call and place his phone near his ear, the young man smiling to hear a call from his beloved princess. "hello, Lacus?"
"hello, Kira. How are you today?" Lacus asks in a happy tone that made Kira smile even more.
"I'm doing fine today." Kira said as he leans back on his couch. "it's very peaceful today on my island. I finished my work at the hangar and I'm just relaxing at my house's living room." He glances to the side to see Tori come flying by and then perching on the arm rest. "How about you?"
"I'm doing well as well." Lacus replies with a short giggle. The pink haired princess is currently in her room at the Holfort royal castle and is sitting on a chair near an open window. "I've been working hard in the meetings with the Royal Court's members to establish a sense of order with them on everything that has been happening." She smiles when she finds a pair of white doves perching near the window's rails, the two avian animals stayed for a moment before flying away the next second. "you could say that I'm doing it all well thanks to Duke Redgrave and Earl Atlee's assistance, both seemed to be rather fond of you."
"I see.." Kira muttered, remembering how he asked for both noble's help when he defeated Julius and the others. "I believe I know why they are rather supportive.."
"You do?" Lacus asks, curious.
"well…" Kira then begins to tell Lacus about the duel that she had learned beforehand but in a more detailed view that helps her understand even better. It took almost five minutes for him to finish telling her everything. "and afterwards, they helped me clear any punishments that might come in my way after the duel."
"I see.." Lacus spoke while frowning a bit. "I'm so sorry for Jilk's actions on your vassal family, Kira." She sighs with her eyes closed. "I guess the decision I and Mylene-san had chosen for his punishment with my brother and the others were correct after all. They were foolish and very ignorant" She sighs again and opens her eyes. "I'll get their family members to be more strict with them afterwards."
"it's fine. It's now water under the bridge. I no longer care about what happened before." Kira spoke before he hardens his gaze a bit when he remembers how underhanded Jilk had been in the first duel and the second one. "but the same can't be said for that bastard…."
Lacus frowns, knowing that Kira hates Jilk after what he has done to him.
"Kira, please forget your anger on him." Lacus spoke. "I know that Jilk had done nothing but anger you, but leave him to me to handle. I don't want you to become hateful of someone." She frowns while gently grasping the phone. "I don't want you to change into someone else."
"Lacus…" Kira whispers, hearing how Lacus' voice is rather sad and that made him frown in return. The young man stayed silent for a moment and then smiled a bit. "alright, I understand. I'll do my best to not be hateful of Jilk. For you."
Lacus smiles, happy to know that Kira is still the Kira she loves.
"Kira, there's a reason why I'm calling you now." Lacus spoke as Kira glances at his phone. "you see, when I last visited you at your island. Mylene-san found out and is now planning to visit your island to discuss some matters with you."
"Discuss some matters with me?" Kira said while raising an eyebrow in question. "What does she want to talk about?"
"She didn't tell me when she left today, she just said that she wish to know confirm some things with you." Lacus replied.
"I see…" Kira whispers before he realized something and asked. "wait, did you say that she left today?"
"yes." Lacus replies. "She had left nearly 2 hours ago with a private airship."
"If she left that early.." Kira spoke before an alarm ring and Hachi's drone came flying in.
"Intruder alert! Intruder alert! Unknown personnel located at area R15! Alert!" Hachi reported. "Kira, we have an intruder snooping in!"
"Kira? What was that sound?" Lacus asks after hearing the alert that is so loud on her side.
"just an alarm and possibly the bell on Mylene-san's arrival." Kira spoke after sighing. "I'll talk to you later, Lacus."
Kira hangs up the phone's call and then leaves his house with Hachi's drone following.
On the outskirts of Kira's island, there are is a small airship docked near the land where by the forest and upon a tree there is Mylene who is wearing a cloak is found captured in a hanged net trap to a tree nearby.
"Intruders apprehended." "Dangerous weapons confiscated." "awaiting arrival of property owner." The robots spoke out in their robotic ai voice while watching over the captured guests.
"I'm not an intruder! I'm just a guest!" Mylene cried out. "please let me down!" the queen accidently tripped a wire that sounded the alarm and got her in the situation. "this net is tight!"
"Tori~!" Tori came flying in as the little mechanical bird perches on the branch of the tree which Mylene's net is hanging by.
"a bird?" Mylene sees the bird and is very curious to see one that is nothing like any bird she has ever seen.
Tori hops on the branch a couple of times before the mechanical bird spread its wings and flaps them once then flies away.
Mylene watches Tori fly away and then come perching upon Kira's right shoulder, the young man appeared walking pass some trees with Hachi's drone following.
Kira sees the situation at hand as he sighs while scratching the back of his head.
"I guess, this is why I should've stuck with nets than trapholes." Kira said before he looks at Hachi's drone. "let her loose, Hachi."
"Roger." Hachi replied before commanding the robots to move and freed Mylene.
"forgive me, Mylene-san. You came to my island not by the port and therefore caused an alarm of possible intruders to come." Kira spoke before he bows his head apologetically. "I'm very sorry that you had to be restrained by my compatriots."
"w-well…I was the ones who were intruding…" Mylene spoke, with an awkward smile. "all is forgiven, Count Bartfort."
"May I ask what brings you here?" Kira asks as he finally notices the cloak she is wearing, and the small airship docked near his island. He knows that she was coming thanks to Lacus, but he still doesn't know why she came in the first place.
"w-well.." Mylene spoke before she coughs into a fist and then composes herself. She then looks a bit serious at Kira. "I wish to have a private conversation with you, Count Bartfort."
"I see, but would it not be more sensible to summon me to the royal castle for a private conversation?" Kira asks, knowing how things work in the noble society and one of the only ways for one to talk to the queen would be to be summoned to the castle by her.
"no." Mylene shakes her head. "the private conversation I wish to have with you is very private and cannot be known by others." She places a hand to her chest. "I can assure you that I only have such wishes and nothing more."
Kira looks a bit sceptic before he glances at Hachi's drone that came hovering near his side.
"Aerial Scans shows no signs of any airships within a 10-mile radius." Hachi reported and Kira nods before facing Mylene.
"very well." Kira said before gesturing her to follow him. "Please follow me to my estate."
Mylene nodded and then followed Kira who leads the path.
Returning to Kira's estate. Mylene is welcomed to the living room where she is served refreshments and snacks by a worker robot.
"Please help yourself." Kira said while pouring a glass of fresh lemonade for Mylene.
"Thank you." Mylene replied as she took the glass, took a sip, and looks a bit surprised to how refreshing it tastes. "This is quite good."
"Thank you" Kira said while plating some biscuits and cookies then presents it to Mylene. "It was freshly made from the lemons of the garden."
Mylene took another sip of the lemonade and then picked a biscuit that she took a little bite from before she ate it whole. The queen was amazed by the taste of the snack that complement well with the lemonade.
"this is very good!" Mylene said as she took another biscuit and eats it before she realizes that she was doing and quickly recompose herself. She coughs into a fist and then sits up straight. "thank you very much for your delicious refreshments, Count Bartfort." She then glances at him. "now about the reason as to why I have come to your island."
"you say that you wish to have a private conversation, correct?" Kira said while raising an eyebrow and holding his glass near his lips.
"yes." Mylene nods as she looks a bit serious. "I will ask you a few questions but I wish to hear your answers with pure honesty. Is that possible?"
Kira merely nodded in reply and Mylene nodded back.
"What do you think of Holfort Kingdom, Count Barfort?" Mylene spoke while raising a hand to the side. "What is your personal opinion of the Kingdom's economy, politics, and its level of security?"
Kira was silent for a moment as he ponders for the answer in silence while quietly twirling his glass of lemonade in his hands.
"Holfort Kingdom is rather peaceful…." Kira spoke softly as he thought about the Kingdom when he first arrived at the world. "or rather, it's peaceful in the view of an outsider." He looks at Mylene. "The Kingdom's economy is too derived from the profit made by conquering Dungeons and unknown lands which is somewhat prosperous but the politics and the security is lacking." He took a sip of his drink and sighs softly. "I'm sure you know why I speak of such thing, Mylene-san."
"Indeed." Mylene said, knowing about how a male like Kira views the matriarchy system of the kingdom and how the Fanoss invaded without warning and nearly toppled the kingdom if the young man hadn't been in there. She sighs while looking down at her lap, her hands still holding her glass of lemonade and she sees the ice melting inside. "We are still grateful for your actions in holding off the Fanoss Forces from coming to the kingdom's borders. We would stand no chance if their forces managed to come to the kingdom."
"Should I presume that the lack of military forces are because of something occurring at the capital?" Kira asks and Mylene nodded after sighing.
"There's been some turmoil between the Redgrave faction and the Frampton faction." Mylene said as she twirls her glass of lemonade before taking a few sips of it and then sighs a bit softly. "after the Duke's household is losing ground in the noble society, there's been an increase with the Marquis' hold on power. Not only that, but the royal court is getting rather busy because of the discovery of Marie Fou Lafan as the new Saint. Things are going rather hectic these days."
"With everything that has been happening, they are not paying any attention to the Fanoss Dukedom?" Kira asks and Mylene nodded in reply. He sighs and shakes his head. "They are underestimating the forces that could've toppled them in a single strike." He looks at the queen and asks. "As the queen, do you not have the power to obligate the order of security within the kingdom?"
"As much as I wish to do so, it has been in the kingdom's history to assume order via the meetings in the royal court." Mylene replied while shaking her head. "Even during the meetings, all the court nobles sided with Marquis Frampton's side and not the royal family. By now the King and I are nothing more than…"
"Symbols of the Kingdom, is it?" Kira spoke and Mylene made a very guilty expression on her face. The young man sighs a bit as he realizes where the conversation is going. He looks at the queen with a rather sceptic face. "Mylene-san, is the real reason you came here in the first place is to ask of me whether or not will I support the royal family?"
Mylene was silent for a moment before she nodded with a guilty look on her face.
"I know that it's a lot of burden to be placed upon a young man like you and I know that it's wrong." Mylene spoke as she gently rubbed a hand to her forehead. "But after Julius disinheritance from the crown, the people have been rather fed up with the royal family not being able to comply with their duties and therefore this causes a level of destabilization within the kingdom." She let out a long sigh. "it's been very stressful to keep everything stable right now."
Kira looks at Mylene, seeing how her expression looks very troubled. For a moment he goes silent before he leans front and picks up the nearly emptied lemonade glass kettle.
"I shall be temporarily excusing myself to refill our beverage." Kira spoke as he gets off his seat and stands up. "May i?"
"y-yes.." Mylene nodded as Kira nods back before slowly made his way to the kitchen area, leaving the queen in the living room.
In the kitchen, Kira picks out an ice tray from a refrigerator and then pops the ice into the kettle then fills it up with lemonade from a plastic jug.
As he was doing it, Hachi's drone came hovering near him.
"Kira, would it be impolite to tell the queen that it is impossible for you to assist the royal family in their struggles?" Hachi asks Kira who takes out a small plastic case from an upper drawer, he opens the lid and it is filled with sugar and a small plastic spoon. "After all, politics are not your strong suit, correct?"
"yes, that's true." Kira said, taking scoops of sugar with the spoon and then pouring it into the kettle. "but I might have to learn to be able to understand the subject in order to assist them."
"Why so?" Hachi asks while beeping a few times. "our concern should be focused on keeping up our wellbeing, the responsibility with the Bartfort family, and finding a solution to allow us to return back to our world."
"I know, but what good would come if we are able to return to our world but let this one succumbs to chaos?" Kira asks while taking out a long spoon and he begins to stir the lemonade and the sugar. "I've seen how the nobles of this kingdom lead the country and I've seen how terrible their future might be from seeing their heirs."
"Are you saying that we should assist in reforming this kingdom's society?" Hachi asks and Kira nods.
"Power is only power, if you do not have a heart, your power shall bring only ruins." Kira spoke as he gently taps the spoon on the edge of the kettle and then puts the glass lid on. "it's something Lacus told me before receiving the Freedom back at ZAFT." He glances at the drone. "I will help this kingdom because being here helped me find my way back to Lacus and that's something I can be grateful."
Kira then walks to the door and exits the kitchen while leaving Hachi's drone behind.
"I do not know if this is what Kira wishes to do on his selfish desire or his ego." Hachi said after a few beeps before his drone follows the young man. "perhaps I should begin doing calculations to see what the future may come.".
Kira returns to the living room and quietly refills Mylene's empty glass.
"Mylene-san, you came here to ask me to help you in bring peace, is that correct?" Kira asks while sitting down and facing Mylene. "you wish to ask my assistance in somewhat calming the situation of Holfort kingdom's royal court and the citizens."
"i-in a way, yes." Mylene spoke. "I know that it's something big to ask to anyone, especially you who is a foreigner…"
"I will do whatever I can." Kira interjected and Mylene stops before saying a confused "Eh?", he then continues. "I will do whatever I can to assist the royal family in managing the kingdom." He picks up his glass of lemonade after refilling it, he took a sip of his drink and sighs a bit. "there is not much I know about the Holfort Kingdom's politics, but I can assist in stabilizing its society's security and linkable matters."
"i-is that really alright!?" Mylene asks surprised. "This is a heavy burden, you know!? Even for me, it's very stressful and!"
"Being in a war at my homeland is a far heavy burden, Mylene-sama." Kira cuts her off again, he stares at his glass of lemonade as he sees the ice melting and mixing with the yellow liquid. "Taking the responsibility for the lives I've taken, taking the responsibility to protect those who cannot protect themselves, and ensuring that peace comes after the gruesome battle. That is a burden I have to carry on my own." He sighs with a small smile as he looks at Mylene. "that's why I will do my best to ensure that Holfort Kingdom never succumbs to war. All to ensure that there is peace for those who wish for it."
Mylene looks at Kira with a surprised expression on her face because she thought that Kira would reject her request but for him to accept with such a determined look in his eyes, it just surprised her.
After a moment, Mylene sighs with a small smile while closing her eyes.
'At first I thought you were just a child forced in a war you didn't want to..' Mylene thought as she sighs again and then opens her eyes to look at Kira. 'but I was wrong. You are a young man who has found his true purpose in the world and is now upholding his morals to help others. If you had been Julius' friend since he was little…' she giggles inwardly. 'well..there's no helping that child anymore.'
"thank you very much for your willingness to assist us, Count Bartfort." Mylene said before she bows her head a bit. "as the Queen of Holfort, I cannot express how grateful I am to have the help of someone like yourself."
"Yes." Kira nods before he took another sip of his lemonade and sighs softly. "I look forward to working with the royal family when you are in need of help, Mylene-san."
Mylene nodded before she let out a long sigh and smile.
"now that the conversation can be put at an end…" Mylene said before she gets off her seat and stands up straight. "I believe it's time for a change of scenery."
"a change of scenery?" Kira asks and Mylene nods while looking around the living room.
"the Royal Castle could accommodate all my needs but seeing how comfortable and peaceful your home is. I have to say that I am astounded beyond any words." Mylene said as she goes near the wall and gently traces a finger on the smooth wooden surface. "never before I have seen this level of craftsmanship upon a house." She turns and looks at Kira. "did you ask a master architecture to build your home?"
"in a way, yes." Kira said as he glances to the side and Hachi's drone came hovering past a hallway with some robots following behind. He then looks back at Mylene. "Shall I make preparations for your departure now, Mylene-san?"
"thank you, but I think I'll go after enjoying the addicting hotspring that I have been hearing about." Mylene said in a rather childlike excited face. She places her hands together near her chest and smiles. "the truth is, before I came here I've heard from Angie and Lacus about their great experience on your island's hotspring that made their skin smooth and so soft. That's why I really wanted to try it~!"
"I-I see…" Kira replied while sweatdropping. He then asks. "I know it's a bit late to ask but is it fine for you to be far from your duties at the royal capital and with no personal guards? I mean, there will be suspicions as to why the queen is away, right?"
"it's fine" Mylene said. "I had some of my trusted subordinates take care of my duties while I'm away and I manage to get my personal knights to let me go alone." She then waves a hand to the side. "Besides, if I had come with them and a fleet of airships. You might think I come to invade, right?"
"Perhaps.." Kira thought about it, and he would really be uncomfortable if his island has dozens of airships surrounding it. "That would make some misunderstandings…" he then shakes his head and asks. "but will it be alright for you to stay without guards? You're the queen after all."
"Then what about you join me in the hot spring?" Mylene asks in a rather teasing voice that got Kira to blush. The queen just joking as she really wished to tease him back at the school festival but couldn't because of the whole Offrey girl's offense against the young man. She then comes near Kira with a teasing smile formed on her lips. "I mean, I am the queen and I have to be protected by my kingdom's knights, right?" she giggles a bit while gently tapping a finger to Kira's chest. "and you happen to be a knight, right Kira-kun~?"
"w-well…that's…" Kira mumbled while looking very flustered. "that's…I'm a guy….and…"
Mylene giggles inwardly in seeing Kira's flustered reaction as she finds it cute that such a strong and capable warrior could have such a reaction.
'I know that I shouldn't be doing this, but I couldn't let this chance pass!' Mylene thought as she is happy to be teasing the young man, but her teasing actually leads to a little trouble she'll be facing.
Some time later, Mylene is found at the island's private hotspring. The queen is wearing only a towel around her body and another wrapped around her head.
"after the bath…." Mylene said as she had just finished cleaning herself and is now slowly sinking into the hotspring's water that made her moan in satisfaction when she felt the warm sensation moving all over her body. "it's heaven~!" she started to pour some of the water around her neck and then her face. "Aaaah~! Lacus was right about this hotspring's water being so heavenly~! I might get addicted if I come here often~!"
As Mylene continues to soak herself in the hotspring, a silhouette appears near the glass doorway leading to the bath and it soon slides to the side.
Mylene hears it and turns before she gasps and nearly screams with a very flustered face because Kira came walking in while wearing blue swimming trunks and having a small towel around his neck. The young man looking flustered and very red.
"K-K-K-Kira-kun!? Why are you here!?" Mylene asks in a nearly pitched voice, the queen shocked to see him while unconsciously holding the towel to cover herself and moving away. "This is the female's side, right!?"
"y-yes…but you said that you require protection of the kingdom's knights and..i'm one..therefore…" Kira spoke while having his eyes closed in a nearly squinted way. "I am here to keep you safe…Mylene-san.."
'but I was just teasing and joking around that time~!' Mylene started to panic because she had no idea that her playing around would lead to such a situation. 'Mylene! You're over 30 years old and youu're the queen! you played such a joke with a young teenager while using your position! You're such a fool!"
Mylene started to call herself 'stupid' in her mind multiple times while not noticing Kira cleaning himself by the showers and he finished in just a few minutes.
"p-please excuse me…" Kira spoke as he hesitantly and slowly entered the hotspring water. He has his eyes closed and his face still red. "h-how is the w-water, Mylene-san?"
"i-it's…very nice…" Mylene replied a bit quietly, the queen still panicking about the current situation. "y-you have found…such a nice accommodation upon your island…"
"t-thank you." Kira nods in gratitude, the young man doing his best to stay sane and calm in the situation.
Mylene looks at Kira as she is very embarrassed to have him in the hotspring water with her, all because of her teasing joke but when she sees the young man's naked upper body, she can't help but look amazed how the muscles were developing upon such a slim figure.
'he's not like Julius in size, but he's slowly developing and therefore becoming someone of an adventurer's stature…' Mylene thought with a tint of red of her cheeks before she goes red when she realizes what she was thinking. 'what are you thinking, Mylene!? He's in the same age as your own son and you're checking his body out!? How shameful are you!?'
As Mylene was panicking once again while shaking around, the splashes caught Kira's attention as he took a peek at the queen.
"Mylene-san, are you alright?" Kira asks as he sees Mylene panicking and he become more flustered to see her bare back. "ugh!?'he quickly looks away. "c-can you please cover yourself with the towel, Mylene-san!?"
"y-yes!" Mylene responded in a fright as she quickly uses her towel to cover herself.
Kira keeps on looking away but his mind had photographically caught the image of Mylene's back in his memories.
'her skin looks as smooth as Lacus'. Is she really someone over her 30s?' Kira thought as he thought that it was amazing that such a young-looking person could be of such age. He shakes his head very rapidly when his mind showed the image of Mylene's barely covered front, him seeing her large bossoms that made his face go redder. 'They look big. They may be even bigger than Angie's and Olivia's combined..' his mind wanders to the night he shared with Angelica and Olivia, he remembered how soft, smooth, and big their breasts were but when he saw how large Mylene's was, he instantly imagined himself having that night with her instead. His imagination goes wild when he thought about how he would kiss her lips and neck before going down to her chest where he starts to peck, kiss, lick, and then nibble her nipples to the point that milk come out and made the queen come hard. The imagination train in Kira's mind keeps on going before it stops when the young man realizes what he was thinking and quickly slaps his cheeks multiple times. 'hey! You're a teenager and she's a mother to a son! Keep it together!'
Mylene looks at Kira in surprise because of hearing how hard he slaps his cheeks.
"A-Are you alright, Kira-kun?" Mylene asks, thinking that Kira is having an uncomfortable moment with her.
"n-no..it's nothing!" Kira replied while turning away. "Please just ignore me and enjoy your time in the hotspring!"
'I don't think that's possible with you being here though?' Mylene sweatdrops.
Silence is in the air as Kira and Mylene put a distance with one another in the hotspring. The queen is still looking flustered on the situation of her sharing a bath with a young teenager who is almost half her age.
'calm down, Mylene! You are the queen of Holfort Kingdom! You have many situation with noble lords and feudal lords! You must remain calm and be stern!' Mylene tells herself to keep calm, even though her heartbeat is increasing its pace on its own. 'be calm! He is possibly the knight who would bring a great and bright future for Holfort Kingdom! As the queen, you must stay calm and ensure that he doesn't think bad of you or the kingdom!'
Mylene took a deep breath and then let out a long sigh before nervously glancing towards Kira whose back is to her.
"C-Cout Bartfort…" Mylene spoke out as she slightly turns her head to face Kira who tensed up. "may I ask you something?"
"w-what is it?" Kira replied a bit shakingly.
"What is your relation- I mean your connection with my step daughter; Lacus?" Mylene asks while looking at the young man. "She seems rather fond of you for some reason."
"P-Perhaps it is because of my growing achievements?" Kira replied, thinking that it was a bad idea to tell the queen that the princess is his lover who has been reincarnated or something.
"perhaps, but Lacus never showed any interests in such things." Mylene said, keening her eyes upon Kira. "in fact, she only showed interests to peculiar things such as Lost Items found in the Dungeons and ancient artifacts."
"w-well…" Kira whispers, feeling a bit tense because he is being pressure to reveal the truth by Mylene. "The thing is…"
As Kira continues to try to think of an answer or a way to get out of the situation, Mylene looks at him and sees his expression.
'I know that he is a foreigner from a distant land, but he shows great fondness for Lacus even though the two never met before.' Mylene grew suspicious as she was sure that there was a connection and a reason between the two. She then sighs a bit. 'Perhaps I can find the truth down the road?'
"Count Bartf- no, Kira-kun. Please face me." Mylene spoke while turning around to face Kira who tensed even more.
"I-I'm sorry but I can't!" Kira cried out with his face going red. "not in this situation!"
"TURN AROUND AND FACE ME THIS INSTANT!" Mylene practically shouted at Kira who jolted in surprise to the tone of her voice. "I AM NOT ASKING YOU, I AM DEMANDING THAT YOU TURN AROUND AND FACE ME THIS INSTANT, KIRA FOU BARTFORT!"
"y-yes.." Kira spoke in a soft voice as he hesitantly and nervously turns his body around while his eyes are closed.
"now open your eyes." Mylene stated. "open your eyes and faced me."
"b-but…" Kira tried to retort but fearing of getting yelled at again, he obliged and slowly opens his eyes. "yes.."
As Kira opens his eyes and faces Mylene who has a rather stern look to him.
"very good." Mylene spoke before she coughs to her left hand's fist while her right hand held her towel around her chest. "I shall only speak of this once and never again, so you must listen to me very carefully and you must never tell anyone of this as well, do you understand?
"y-yes.." Kira nods while confused on what she is going to talk about.
"Lacus Rapha Holfort, my step-daughter who is born from the love between my husband and one of his concubines. she is the first princess of Holfort Kingdom and someone who once held the same ranking and candidacy as Julius in the royal crown's heir." Mylene spoke out as she had her eyes closed while imagining her past with Lacus who was a little girl back then. "She had the potential to become the royal princess and possible crown to the throne, but that all changed when she had an accident in the past."
"Accident?" Kira whispers before he remembers the small scar Lacus has on her forehead.
"She once dreamed of becoming the queen of Holfort Kingdom and helped it prosper, but after that accident, she changed. She changed in ways that I couldn't imagine." Mylene spoke, remembering a time in the past when she finds Lacus studying in the royal castle's library very diligently. "She began to visit neighboring countries, studying their society, and envision the possibility of the Holfort Kingdom falling to ruins because of its governmental system that favors women over men." She sighs as she opens her eyes and looks at the sky. "At first, I thought she wanted to learn how to be a good queen, but I found out that she had chosen a path to support the kingdom from the shadows than to lead it from the light." she looks down, closed her eyes, and sighs while smiling a bit. "I was astounded and quite terrified when she came to me one day and asked me to support a plan of hers where she wishes to change the kingdom's matriarchy to an equal society. For such a young girl to worry for the future and wishes to save and let it prosper for years to come….i was baffled beyond words."
Kira listens to Mylene's story about Lacus, and he understands why Lacus wants to change an unequal society to one that is equal and doesn't have any discrimination.
"I understand that there is a connection between the two of you. A reason why you two seemed fond of each other, but the both of you are keeping it a secret for a possible good reason." Mylene spoke as she open her eyes and looks at Kira. "Perhaps in the future I might know what that connection is, but I won't pry into it right now." She smiles a bit. "I had been worried for Lacus who always seemed sad for years but during that night after the award ceremony was over. I found her sitting within the castle's balcony garden, having such a happy smile that I had never seen before." She slowly got close to Kira and gently place a hand to his right shoulder. "At that moment, I was sure that you were the cause of it. You returned the happiness that Lacus once lost, and I am grateful for that. That child is destined for something great, but she won't be able to reach greatness on herself. She needs someone who can support her and that person is you." She gently grasped the shoulder. "Which is why I am asking you to keep Lacus happy no matter what, Kira-kun. Keep her happy and support her in times to come."
"Mylene-san.." Kira whispers as Mylene smiles and nods to him. The young man is silent for a moment before he nods. "yes, I will do my best."
"thank you and I'm sure that both of you will do fine together." Mylene said with a smile and Kira blushes a bit in response. The queen giggles in seeing the blush. "don't worry, I won't tell my husband about why you two are fond with each other."
"please do not tease me." Kira said while looking away.
Mylene sighs with a smile before she adjusts the towel on her chest and ensures that it covers her whole body while she slowly gets out.
"I shall be going out first. Thank you for the pleasant conversation and the hospitality of your home, Kira-kun." Mylene said politely as she exited the hotspring first, but because of her hasty movement and uncoordinated steps. The queen steps on a little puddle of water and slips backwards. "wha!?"
"Mylene-san?!" Kira gasps and then looks in surprise because Mylene came falling on top of him and plunged both into the hotspring water with a big splash. "aaahh!"
Because of the commotion, Hachi's little drone came hovering from above and its lense is directed to where Kira and Mylene are at.
"oh my…" Hachi spoke as the drone enhanced its image of the two's position. "this is…quite bad."
Mylene's towel is floating on the hotspring water as it slowly sinks and leaving its owner whose face is turning crimson red.
Why is her face turning crimson red? It is because without her towel covering herself, her glamorous bossoms are pressed upon Kira's face that is slowly turning red and looking shocked.
Their position is at the edge of the hotspring where it was rather shallow. Mylene had fallen on top of Kira and therefore got the young man to receive the full force of her large bossoms that acts like her natural airbags that presses against his face and nearly suffocated him.
A minute of silence flows in the air as both didn't speak anything but just made small confused, shocked, and incomprehensible noises from their gaping mouth.
"KYAAAA~!"
Mylene's high-pitched girlish scream rang out in the air before it was followed with a loud slap.
A second later, the door to the hotspring was slammed shut by Mylene who had hurriedly ran in and left Kira who is lying near the edge of the hotspring while having a pained look as he held a hand to a red hand mark on his right cheek.
"ow.." Kira groaned in pain as Mylene had slapped him very hard.
As Kira soothes the pain, Hachi's drone came flying in and hovers near him.
"Perhaps it would've been more optimal and less painful if I had the drones deployed to protect the queen instead?" Hachi spoke and Kira sweatdrops.
"Now you tell me?" Kira said before wincing because of his slapped cheek.
Meanwhile, at the Fanoss Dukedom's kingdom and in their royal castle.
Hertrauda is found having tea and biscuits by an opened balcony while having the company of a few servants. The second princess holding a cup of tea and then took a sip before she glances to the side when Canard along with Luxion came in the room from the side and walks to the balcony.
"ah good, you are here." Hertrauda said before motioning a hand to the empty chair placed opposite hers. "have a seat."
Canard sits down as she requested and crosses his arms while watching a maid filling a cup with tea and then presenting it to him.
"no sugar is required." Luxion told the maid who was about to drop some sugar cubes into the cup. "Master needs to cut back sugar."
"no one asks for your opinion, Luxion." Canard said in an annoyed tone before he looks at Hertrauda. "so? Have the people from that kingdom gave some reply to your request to get your sister back?"
"nothing yet, but I know that they will try to have control of the Dukedom with my sister in their possession." Hertrauda replied before sipping her tea and sighs a bit. "and I know for certain that your presence will be needed when they begin their plan."
"and you're sure that it will go as you predict things?" Canard said while holding up his cup of tea and then took a sip before he leans forward and gives a rather sceptic look at Hertrauda. "I don't know how your magic works, but predicting things ain't easy. Especially against enemies."
"the chances of your prediction coming into reality without proper calculation is nearly 3,45%" Luxion added in. "the chances of failure is very high."
"true, but my predictions are all from my sister." Hertrauda said as she stares at her reflection in the teacup's brown liquid. "My sister has led the forces with her intelligence and has always made sure to give an overwhelming force upon our enemies and she had made contingency plans for if the invasion had failed" She close her eyes and then sips her tea. "the time will come for our plan to come into fruition and the time will come for Holfort Kingdom to fall into ruins."
Canard looks at Hertrauda before he shrugs his shoulders and then sips his tea.
"here" Hertrauda presents two wax sealed letters to Canard. "this is a letter from Holfort Kingdom that just came today." the objects were passed to the man and the princess looks a bit serious. "they have made plans like my sister expected, therefore she requests your assistance to be her bodyguard."
"I see." Canard said as he checks the first letter and scans the content before he opens the second letter and then did the same. The man then takes his cup of tea, drinks it all up, and then gets off his seat. "I'll be going to prepare my stuff." He then turns and walks away with Luxion following behind. "Call me if you need me."
"Canard. Just a moment." Hertrauda calls out to the man who stops and then turns to see her having a small frown. "please…please ensure that my sister is safe and that she returns home."
Canard looks at Hertrauda for a moment before he scoffs and looks to the front.
"I got hired to protect you and your sister, it's still my job that I'm going to finish." Canard said before he walks away. "so stop worrying and just sit there while drinking your tea. I'll go and do my job then I get your sister back to you." He opens the door and glances back at Hertrauda. "you got my word on that."
Canard made his exit as he leaves Hertrauda with her servants.
"even though he is a hired mercenary, he treats the princesses like they're nothing." "so rude! If it weren't for his usefulness, we would have him hanged for such attitude!" the servants whispered to one another while Hertrauda stayed silent but had a small blush on her cheeks.
"please protect my sister, Canard.." Hertrauda whispers softly.
