Sometime later, in the deep parts of the elven ruins.
Marie is found lied unconscious on the floor before she grunted and slowly wakes up from a dream she was having.
"What? What is?" Marie mumbled as she slowly sits up. "What happened?"
As she tries to get her bearings, her ears pick up the sound of gunshots that surprised her.
"what's.." Marie turns and soon screams when she finds a black grotesque human faced monster or something just lying dead near her. "KYAAA~!"
As she screams, her right leg aches in pain and she winces in ache.
"o-ow! My leg!" Marie held her leg in pain before she hears more gunshots near her. She turns and finds Kira and Canard working together in killing more monsters that are coming from the front and back, either when they are crawling on the ceiling or on the wall or the floor. "w-what's.."
"incoming enemy from 12 o'clock and 11 o'clock. Interception now!" Luxion reported to Canard who holds a pair of dessert eagle guns and skilfully kills the monster with precise head shot. "another one coming in 1 minute!"
"These monsters aren't like the normal ones." Hachi reported as Kira who holds a single Glock 19 gun watches a monster comes before killing it with several shots to the head. "their biology somehow differs from normal ones."
"let's worry about that later, Hachi!" Kira said as he ejects his gun's empty magazine and then taking out a spare for a quick reload. "how many more!?"
"4 and one is coming very fast!" Hachi reported and Kira sees one monster coming while looking like some sort of human, animal, but mostly centipede like form that is crawling on multiple legs.
"damnit!" Kira started to fire several rounds as the first few misses before two bullets hit the monster's head and killed it while causing it to spasm for a moment.
"w-what is happening here!?" Marie cried out as she doesn't know what's going on at all.
"ah, you are awake." Luxion spoke as the metal sphere hovers near Marie. "to summarize the situation, you were unconscious when all of you fell into the hole and soon enough monsters came and attacked you all." The robotic drone turns and looks at Canard and Kira who are killing the monsters. "as of now, both of them have been fighting while you were in your dreamlands."
"just where did they…" Marie was about to ask but stops and screams when a dead monster falls near her. "Kyaaa!"
"Shut up!" Kira and Canard shouted in unison as they were focused on killing the monsters and Marie's scream was just distracting them.
"more monsters are coming because of being attracted by the scream." Hachi reported as the AI's drone beep a few times. "Estimated number, 10."
"great! Because of this brat, we have more trouble coming our way!" Canard grumbles as he quickly reloads his guns with their ammo. "first I have to work together with that guy and now this." He looks very annoyed. "hey, Luxion! Where are they going to come from!?"
"From both sides." Luxion replied.
"4 at the front and 6 at the back." Hachi added in before beeping a few times. "I shall quickly dispatch some drones to come to our assistance." The drone then turns to face Marie. "you on the other hand are bothering our actions and therefore we require for you to back off."
"Huh? But my leg" Marie tried to say that her leg hurts and that she couldn't move, but Luxion cuts her off.
"As the saint, your specialty is healing magic, correct?" Luxion stated while hovering back to Canard's side. "Heal yourself." The drone looks to the front. "Monsters are coming in 10 seconds."
"we can hear them coming" Kira said as he hears growls, and snarls coming from his side.
Both focused on the monsters and not on Marie who looks at them all angrily.
'what's with their cold attitude!? These guys are like my older brother, aren't they?!' Marie thought angrily. 'they're just the worst!'
Meanwhile at the entrance of the Dungeon.
Lacus along with the others exited the domain as Hachi had instructed them.
"Princess Lacus, we need to return!" Jilk cried out to Lacus. "Marie-san may be in danger!"
"yeah! We got to go back!" Greg added in.
"no, the dungeon had proven to be dangerous and not safe." Lacus stated. "and we can only wait as Hachi finds Kira and the others then gets back to us."
"but we don't know if they're alright or not!" Greg exclaimed before he turns and faces the Dungeon's entrance. "Bartfort is one thing, but that Fanoss bodyguard guy I can't trust at all!" he looks back at the others. "I'm worried that either of them would go after Marie!"
"I don't know about that Canard Pars but don't lump in Kira with other men, he's different." Angelica spoke out, a bit annoyed that Greg thinks that Kira wants to have a life with Marie of all people.
"and how do you even know that, Angelica-san?" Jilk asks the blonde. "I mean, Bartfort is a guy like us and Marie-san is a beautiful and great woman! Who wouldn't want to be with her!?"
"do you guys have crap for brain!? Kira isn't like you lot!" Angelica shouted angrily at Jilk, hating the idea that Kira would act like them. "enough with your bullshit!"
"ah…please don't fight!" Olivia cried out, panicking in seeing a fiery aura raging around Angelica's body. "Angie! Please calm down!"
"Kingdom's rats keep on being fools as always.." Hertrude said while looking away uninterested.
"I can't wait anymore!" Greg cried out while going straight back into the Dungeon. "I'm going back!"
"I as well!" Jilk followed Greg but they quickly stopped when several of Hachi's drones came flying pass them at high speed. "what the!?"
"were those…Hachi-kun?" Olivia asks, bewildered by the number of drones that went flying in.
"I guess so?" Angelica replied, a bit awkward. "I know that he's some sort of familiar and such but for there to be many of him…"
"so? Are you all still going back?" Hertrude said while crossing her arms. "or are you all going to stay here and wait for that familiar to come back?"
"if Hachi is moving out his drones, it must mean that he found Kira and the others." Lacus replied. "all we can do now is wait for him to come back with Kira and the others." She then turns to look at the surroundings of the ruins. "but there's something that has been bothering me."
"What is it?" Angelica asks.
"the village chief said that many had come and go to the ruins with nothing in their possession." Lacus said as she checks the ground and sees how the green grass surrounds them and seems unbothered. "yet I do not see any signs that there has been anyone coming to this Dungeon for a long period of time."
"Maybe there's another entrance to the Dungeon?" Olivia asks, thinking that the entrance that they are at isn't the only entrance available.
"Perhaps." Lacus nodded before she begins to wonder if there is a connection between the elder's warnings of not entering the Dungeon and the chief's wishes for them to leave. "I'm beginning to grow suspicious of the elves."
"You mean that they are doing something we shouldn't know?" Greg asks and Lacus nods. "Like what?"
"I don't know." Lacus shakes her head before she looks to the sky and sees Tori flying around. "but what I know is that Kira and the others might find out." She reaches out a hand and the mechanical bird flies down then perches on her hand, she smiles to the little bird before she turns to look at everyone. "let us return to the village temporarily and await their return."
Everyone looks at each other before they nodded a bit reluctantly.
Back in the Dungeon's deeper floors.
Within the domain's dusty metal hallways, a light came as it is coming from Hachi and Luxion's drone that projected it.
"This way." Hachi said as he and Luxion light the paths for Kira and the others to follow.
"any signs of monsters?" Kira asks, ready with his gun in hand.
"no signs whatsoever." Hachi replied. "we are in the clear."
They had just finished killing the monsters that were coming their way.
The two Coordinators and their AI partners are walking at front while Marie is following behind a bit slowly.
"hey, hurry it up" Canard said while looking at Marie. "if you keep on lagging behind, we'll leave you here to rot on your own."
"I injured my leg! Can't you guys walk slower!?" Marie retorted while huffing her breathing a few times.
"You are the Saint who can use healing magic." Kira stated with a glance at Marie. "you should be able to heal that injury of yours and walk perfectly normal by now."
"It still hurts even after healing!" Marie exclaimed before she begins to complain at the two.
"To think that she was chosen to be the Saint…" "The Kingdom got sore eyes for choosing such a brat." Kira and Canard spoke out in unison before the two looks at each other, glared at one another, before they scoffed and looks away then continues walking.
They kept a look out for any suspicious movement from any monsters that may be hiding even from Hachi and Luxion's scanners.
"Hachi, what do you think happened to the village chief?" Kira asks his AI partner. "he fell with us, didn't he?"
"it is unknown what has happened to him, Kira." Hachi replied, the AI not knowing the fate of the village chief who had disappeared when he along the rest had fallen into the hole when the floor broke. "perhaps he fell into a different section of the dungeon?"
"if so, the likelihood of our encounter with him is at 36%." Luxion spoke as the floating metal ball projects its light to several areas of the wall that are broken and have tree roots growing around it. "the structure of this entire Dungeon has been changed due to the overgrowing tree roots that broke its integrity."
"Does that mean that there is no exit?" Canard said, annoyed. "I still haven't gotten paid to do my job too."
"perhaps we can find the exit if we could find a working control module." Hachi stated as the little drone moved further ahead in seeking the object. "following the exposed electrical conduits, a nearby control panel should be in this area."
"there." Luxion projected his light to a nearby panel box that is covered in dust, dirt, and tree roots. "it has been exposed to nature, but it seems that it is still functional."
Kira went to the panel box, opens it, and finds dusty cobwebs in it.
"Hachi, access the ruins' systems and find the schematic route of the area we are in." Kira said as he cleared the cobwebs before pulling out a flash drive that he inserts to an available port. He then takes out his phone and begins to access the ruins' data systems that remains functional yet it is in a deep hibernation mode. "Find the nearest exit."
"roger." Hachi replied as the AI's little copter drone let out a few beeps before it turns its lense to the wall nearby and the projected a hologram of a map with one blinking red dot. "we are located in this area and the nearest exit is located…" the map now has an arrow mark going around the paths and corners before it arrives to an area with a red X mark. "There."
"good." Kira nods as he pulls out the flash drive from the control panel and as soon as he did, the dead lights around the walls lit up. "Did you also reactivate the lights, Hachi?"
"no, that was my doing." Luxion spoke as the metal ball's red eye lense is glowing a bit. "I was trying to access the systems like he did but it would seem that I discovered that there is an AI dormant in these ruins."
"another AI?" Canard said while looking at Luxion. "same like you?"
"No, different. In the program retrospective." Luxion replied while the gear in the AI's red lense spins and retracts. "but it would seem that this dormant AI is somewhat the caretaker of this facility."
"Caretaker?" Kira spoke before he hears some more beeps from Hachi's drone. "Hachi?"
"I am currently accessing the facility's main systems and rebooting the dormant AI's programs." Hachi spoke before the little copter drone shuts down and falls but Kira quickly catches it. "I'm sorry, Kira. for a temporary time, I won't be able to be active with the drone, but I shall leave the data of the ruins' schematics to Canard Pars' AI partner."
"got it." Kira nods in understanding before he places the drone away for safe keeping and then looks at Luxion's metal orb that projects an arrow to the front. "let's go."
Kira and Canard walk and follows Luxion while Marie struggles in keeping up.
"hey! Wait!" Marie cried out, trying her best to move with her slightly aching leg.
The group moves in the ruins, but they didn't realize that someone was watching them from the shadows.
At a closed facility, a sealed door stays lock before a nearby control panel had a green screen and beeps loudly then made the door slide open for Kira and the others to come in.
"here we are." Luxion said as the metal orb comes in first before the others followed. "oh my, this is unexpected."
"What is?" Canard asks before he and Kira looks wide eyes as to what is inside the facility. "t-this is!?"
The closed facility is illuminated with lighting equipment and it appears to be a laboratory with large glass tanks that has the grotesque monsters trapped inside. The creatures seemingly alive even though it is submerged in blueish white liquid.
"w-what is this place!?" Marie cries out.
The entire laboratory seems active as it all looks too familiar for Kira and Canard.
"an experimental site. One that has been reactivated." Luxion said.
"just what is all of this stuff!?" Marie said, seeing the content of the room that looks like a mad scientist's laboratory. "just what-!?"
Before long, Marie became surprised as Kira and Canard fell to their knees and begin to hyperventilate.
"h-hey! What are you two doing!?" Marie exclaimed while Luxion scans the two with a red laser.
"They are having a panic attack." Luxion said while seeing the increased heart rate and blood pressure that is the result of scanning the two. "something had triggered it."
"what? Panic attack?!" Marie looks very confused.
Kira and Canard continues to try to breath, but in their mind they see flashing images of the laboratory at Mendel Colony. Their very past comes flashing into their eyes non stop because of seeing the laboratory that is before them.
As the panic attack ensues, Canard suddenly slams a fist to the floor. The Hyperion's pilot looking a bit shaken but he slowly gets up on his feet while having his hands on his knees.
"damn shitty place!" Canard growls before he looks at Kira who is still having a panic attack. "you little. this shit is just a damn copy of what Mendel had!" he went and grabs the Ultimate Coordinator by the right shoulder, shaking him. "Get up! Don't you dare look so fucking scared because of the shit around us!"
"it is no use, Master." Luxion spoke to Canard as the metal orb hovers near the man. "he is currently in a more deeper trance that requires more than a few shakes to be snapped out of."
"then what the hell should I do!?" Canard shouted while still shaking Kira by the shoulders. "kick him?! headbutt him!? punch him!? what do I need to do to get this piece of shit stand up and not be fucking scared like some baby!?"
"physical actions would give some results but not the desired ones." Luxion replied while beeping a few times.
As Canard and Luxion conversed, a door from the side of the room opens and several people comes in.
"my, this is a surprise." A voice spoke as Luxion and Marie turns to see elves making an entrance into the room. One elf wears a lab coat while the others were armed with weapons. "to think we have guests."
"an elf? And why are you all?" Marie spoke in utter confusion,
"so it would appear that this is what the village elder was warning about." Luxion spoke as the AI is analysing the situation.
"so you lots are the ones working at this disgusting place." Canard spoke while turning to face the elves. "what a disgusting place you got here."
"please be respectful for this is the land of humanity's beginning." The elf wearing the lab coat while having an eerie smile. "Quite welcoming to have two human males, a human female, and a strange round thing?" he looks a bit confused at Luxion for a second before he shrugs his shoulders and just smirks. "no matter. You are all perfect laboratory specimens."
"Laboratory specimens? What is he talking about!?" Marie cried out.
"With this situation, it is conclusive to say that the monsters that we have killed a few minutes ago were the products of this laboratory." Luxion spoke. "you have my compliments to be able to use this facility and create the monsters to run amok."
"You're certainly quick on the uptake for a strange object." The lab elf said while adjusting his glasses. "I didn't think you people would be able to make that guess." He goes near a glass tank and touches it with a hand, inside is a large flower with a human face but it looks very grotesque. "You've set foot into these ruins, a god's domain where life is created. You humans probably don't comprehend it, but long ago there was a civilization more advanced than what you see today. It was a period ruled not by savage humans, but by us elves. These ruins are proof of it."
"eh? What? God's domain? Life? Just what is this all about?!" Marie keeps on getting confused. "there's no setting for such things in the game!"
"You don't get it? That's all you humans amount to." The elves chuckled at Marie's reaction. "Our ancestors have created many lifeforms here." The lab elf then points at the group. "Among them are you humans, an inferior race."
"Impossible! That kind of setting didn't exist!" Marie exclaimed. "just what is this sci-fi stuff!? I don't get it!"
Canard remains quiet with Luxion, the Hyperion's pilot seeing how things are going while the AI is seemingly doing something else in its programming.
"We will take back the world which has been stolen by humans. Then, the elves will bring along all races, guide them, and the world will regain its rightful figure." The lab elf continues to blabber and gloat all he wants. "For that, you all will become our precious sacrifice. What kind of experiments should we run-"
"That is far enough." Hachi's voice echoed in the room as this surprised everyone.
"What? Whose voice is this!?" the lab elf exclaimed in a demanding tone.
"the Junker's AI?" Canard spoke while looking to the ceiling.
"My name is Hachi and I have remotely accessed this entire facility with the help of its AI caretaker." Hachi spoke as the copter drone reactivates and came flying from behind Kira's back. "it would seem that there has been a grave misunderstanding by the elves of this land."
"Indeed." Luxion spoke, the AI's red lense eye glowing a bit as it scans the elves in the room. "a very grave misunderstanding indeed."
"This facility was run by humans and the elves of this land were the ones created in the laboratory." Hachi stated while turning on several lights to light the room better. "you had mistaken your history."
"What? Humans created us? Preposterous!" the lab elf stated. "Even for a joke, I can't laugh at that."
"I had accessed this facility's history and found that this laboratory was an experimental site." Hachi stated. "and the experiment that it done is to create life which is considered a taboo."
"don't joke with me! This facility existed long before we did and!" the lab elf retorted but was cut off by a buzzing sound coming from the ceiling.
"That is correct." Another AI like voice spoke in a feminine voice. "The elves on this island are those who have become feral after being created here."
"What!?" the elves look shocked. "Who is there!?"
"My registered name has been lost, but I was the AI assistant to the humans running this facility before I became its caretaker and went into hibernation mode." The Lab AI spoke. "all things considered, it is quiet fortunate for me to meet others of my kin who have brought members of the old humans here. Giving proof that our fight was not for nothing."
"how dare you say such lies!" the lab elf shouted in anger. "Us elves are beings who surpass humans. We have longer lifespans and are more capable of using magic!"
"The longevity is just for the sake of being able to fight for longer. It would be troublesome to have them die soon." The Lab AI replied in a plain truthful voice. "Proficiency at magic is again a design choice. However, it seems there has been a drop in quality compared to the elves of our initial stages."
The elves continues to be confused while the one wearing the lab coat turned furious.
"Don't joke with me! There is no truth to that! We are!" the lab elf shouted, very angry.
"just what is going on here?" Marie asks in confusion, her mind can't keep up with the surrounding events. "what kind of scenario is this?"
KA-CLICK!
Marie squeaks and tenses up while slowly turning around and becomes scared because she has the barrel of a rifle pointed at her face and the weapon is being held by the village chief who appeared out of nowhere.
"you!?" Canard turns and faces the village chief who held his gun at ready.
"t-the village chief? Why? Why are you pointing that at me!?" Marie cried out.
"It seems that he is also involved in this scheme." Luxion stated.
"Dispose of these people here." The village chief commanded the other elves. "Make it look like they were finished by artificial lifeforms."
The other elves regain their bearings in hearing the village chief's commands as the one wearing the lab coat quickly runs to a panel and hits a button that in turn causes all the glass tanks to retract and let out the blue liquid to flood the floor while unleashing the monsters inside.
"kyaaaa!" Marie instantly screams in seeing the monsters coming her way. She looks at Canard and Kira who is still trying to recover from his panic attack. "hey! The monsters are coming! Hurry up and kill them!"
"SHUT UP!" Canard shouted at Marie.
"please initiate the laboratory defense mechanism." Hachi spoke.
"understood." The lab AI replied and in command, gatling guns appeared out of the walls and each started to fire at the monsters, killing them to death.
"d-damnit!" the village chief clicks his tongue before he aims his rifle at Marie and the others. "in that case!"
"h-help!" Marie screams in tears while not noticing Hachi's drone coming near Kira and then proceeds to give a little shock to the back that jolted his senses in an instant.
BANG!
A gunshot is heard and the village chief fell while grasping his right shoulder in pain.
"u-urgh!" the chief grunted before his head get stomped to the floor by Canard who is looking very pissed.
"you piece of shit!" Canard growls.
"o-open fire!" the lab elf commanded his comrade, panicked in seeing how their chief got shot.
The elves aimed their weapons but before they could even fire, bullets came from the other side and each one shot their guns that flies out of their hands.
"What the!?" the lab elf looks in shock at Kira who holds his gun up and had just fired several rounds.
The young man looks a bit vented but also angry at the elves.
"You people are nothing more than scums." Kira growls as he aims his gun at them. "and I hate scums who dare do such things."
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Kira fires a few shots and he hits the elves on their legs, causing them all to fall and clutch their wounds in pain.
Marie looks at the scene in disbelieve because in just a single minute, Kira and Canard had quickly subdued the elves.
"hey, brat." Canard called out to Marie. "tie these pieces of shits up."
"Hey! Despite how it seems, I'm still a saint. I'm your higher-up!" Marie retorted. "you guys do it your-!?"
"Huh!?" Kira and Canard glares at Marie who squeaks.
"Y-YES! I WILL DO IT! I'M SORRY!" Marie cries out in fear.
Three minutes later, the elves were restrained together and given minor first aid on their wounds.
"pieces of shit got disgusting hobbies." Canard growls as he raises his foot and presses it against the village chief's face. "and they're going to get what's coming."
Kira didn't say a word, but he agreed that the elves deserved to be punished for doing something so immoral.
"You may do as you please to the feral elves." The Lab AI spoke as everyone looks to the ceiling and sees a single large speaker. "however, it has come to my understanding that the old humans had lost the war in the end. That being the case, this facility will need to self-destruct."
"why for?" Kira asks.
"This research facility was originally created for the sake of opposing the new breed of humans." The AI replied. "However, now that this duty can no longer be accomplished, leaving the area untouched is a risk."
"obviously speaking, it is to prevent other elves from trying to do the same thing all over again." Hachi told Kira and he nodded in understanding.
"So you're going to blow yourself up just after waking up from your hibernation?" Canard said as he crosses his arms and points a thumb at Luxion. "well, I can see that being the same when I found this guy at his ruins."
"Self-Destruction is the option to be taken to safe keep the old humans' weaponry, Master." Luxion said in an obvious voice.
"There is no problem. I have shared information with the one named Hachi and transferred my data to his system." The Lab AI spoke and a mysterious object in the form of countless cubes attached to one another appears from a trap door on the floor. "furthermore, i wish to give this to the one named Kira Yamato."
"me?" Kira said as the mysterious object of cubes floated near him. "why?"
"it has come to my understanding that you are an old human that is different from any other." The Lab AI explained. "Your existence piqued my interest and therefore I grant you this item for safekeeping."
"is that treasure?! I want it too!" Marie cried out at the sight of something that is possibly treasure.
"it is treasure to those who knows how to function it," the AI replied. "but for those who don't, it is merely a shiny ornament."
Hearing that Marie instantly falls and cries in tears.
"This really is the worst~!" Marie cried out. "If there's no treasure, maybe this really is different from the game? I thought that this would be fantasy, but I never heard about it being sci-fi."
'game and game and game, why does she say that word so often?' Kira looks at Marie all sceptic as he has been wondering about her being the saint and everything for a while. 'she has one of the Saint's items that had thought to have been lost for ages, she becomes the Saint, and for some reason she really desires fame and wealth.' He grew more suspicious of Marie by the passing second. 'just what does she know that no one else doesn't?'
"presumably before you detonate your facility, I happen to stumble upon information regarding some items you have in storage and is beneficial for Kira and I." Hachi spoke out as Kira glances at his AI partner. "May we have them if you do not require them anymore?"
"You may take them if you wish. This facility no longer needs them after all." The Lab AI replied. "and there is also another item that may also be of valuable use for you as well."
"Thank you." Hachi replied before the Lab AI's voice disappears.
"Hey! If there's treasure, you better share it!" Marie exclaimed.
"What items were you talking about, Hachi?" Kira asks his AI friend while ignoring Marie.
"I believe you will know the answer by seeing them personally, Kira." Hachi replied.
In the deeper parts of the ruins, Kira and Hachi are venturing in while Canard, Luxion, and Marie left with the elves. The mercenary gladly takes the elves for some beating up while the Saint tried to come and see what items that the two were going after but a glare from the brown haired teen made her choose otherwise.
"Where are we going, Hachi?" Kira asks Hachi as they venture into a hallway before turning a corner and ends up to a sealed metal door that slowly opens while blowing out some dust.
"The facility's hangar base." Hachi replied. "when I reactivated the facility's dormant AI, I had come across a file containing blueprints and schematics to several mobile suits that had been stored in the hangar area." The Drone goes in first and Kira follows. "and to the hangar I am bringing you too."
"The hangar?" Kira spoke before he thought of possibly finding more mobile suits like the Strike or the Hyperion.
Kira and Hachi comes into the dark hangar before the lights turned on and revealed the mobile suits stored within.
"These are!?" Kira looks surprised as there are four mobile suits in the hangar, but what surprised him is that he knows each one. "they're all…" he goes near the rails and looks upon the GAT-X102 Duel Gundam, The GAT-X103 Buster Gundam, the GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam, and the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam. Four of the five G Project mobile suits that were stolen during the raid upon Heliopolis. "these are Athrun and his…"
"I know about the raid at Heliopolis where these four mobile suits were stolen, Kira." Hachi spoke while beeping a few times. "and whatever you wish to do with them, I shall comply." The AI knows about the history between Kira and the mobile suits before them. "if you wish to destroy them along the facility, or use them for later battles and such, you simply give the orders and I shall have it be done."
Kira was silent as he had a hand on his mouth while his mind is processing his surroundings.
The Ultimate Coordinator has history in fighting against the mobile suits and their pilots. He didn't have any bad link with the Buster Gundam because he befriended its pilot; Dearka Elsman but the other three? He had some bad memories with them.
"the Duel…." Kira looks at the blue and white Gundam, instantly remembering how it shot down the escape shuttle and killed the innocent lives on board. He then glances at the Blitz Gundam. "the Blitz." His memory of destroying the mobile suit with his Sword Strike Gundam came flashing into his mind. "and the Aegis." He looks at the last Gundam and remembers the deadly battle he had against it or rather against his best friend; Athrun Zala. "Why are they here?"
Hachi's drone looks at Kira who is now pondering deep in his mind about what to do in finding the four mobile suits.
Kira tries to choose whether or not should he keep the mobile suits that may come useful in the future or just destroy them to burry the old bad memories. The choices in his hand and he is choosing only one.
"Hachi.." Kira spoke out as he glances at the drone. "are they still operational?"
"yes. Even if they are a bit dusted, they are still operational at 100%" Hachi replied. "what shall be done with them?"
Kira looks at Hachi before to the mobile suits.
"take them to the Archangel and start giving them maintenance." Kira said while placing a hand to the rails, the young man choosing to keep the four mobile suits. "We might have to use them in the future for a battle that we may not be able to win with just the Strike.
"very well." Hachi replied while beeping a few times. "I shall have the Archangel docked to the hangar's doors."
"and while you do that." Kira spoke as he steps back and turns before walking away. "I need the Archangel for something."
"for something?" Hachi asks in a confused tone.
some time later, outside of the ruins.
Canard kicks the tied up elves to the ground and spat at them in annoyance while Marie is sitting on a rock, looking gloomy because she didn't find treasure at all.
"Canard!" Hertrude followed by Angelica and the others came into the scene as they found Canard thanks to Luxion's help. "you're alive!"
"You say that like you want me dead." Canard said in a small annoyed voice.
"where's Kira!?" Angelica demanded. "if you had hurt him!"
"even if I wanted to, I'll do it with my mobile suit." Canard retorted before he walks off. "only then will I kill him to settle things."
"just why do you!?" Olivia cried out, wanting to know why Canard is obsessed in fighting against Kira but Lacus stops her.
"do not intervene, he is protected by the diplomatic immunity and you should not interfere too much." Lacus told Olivia and then Angelica a bit sternly. "what matters is that we know Kira is safe from him."
Angelica and Olivia nodded while in the background, Jilk and Greg went to Marie.
"Marie, I'm so glad that you're okay!" Greg said with a smile.
"I'm not okay!" Marie cried out. "we didn't get any treasure at all!"
"it's alright, Marie-san." Jilk comforted her. "We can just look for treasure at another Dungeon!"
While everyone is chattering around, Lacus saw Kira with Luxion coming while Tori who was perching on her shoulder flew to its owner.
"Tori~!" Tori cried out and came flying to perch on Kira's right shoulder. "Tori~!"
"Tori." Kira smiles to see his mechanical bird pet before he smiles a bit more to see Lacus, Angelica, and Olivia coming their way. "I'm glad to see you all alright."
"We can say the same thing to you." Angelica said with a smile. "you had us scared when you fell that hole."
"are you alright, Kira-san? You didn't get injured?" Olivia asks, ready to use her healing magic.
"I'm alright." Kira nods. "I'm sorry to have worried you all."
"it's alright." Lacus smiles to Kira before she looks at Hachi. "Thank you for keeping him safe, Hachi."
"I am merely doing my duties to assist him." Hachi replied after beeping a few times.
As Kira assures that he is alright to Lacus and the others while explaining what the village chief and the others elves had done, two worker robots from the Espada came hovering by while carrying something.
"Kira, they have brought it here." Hachi told Kira who turns and sees the robots carrying a black broken arm part from an Armor that looks rather shady and have a dangerous vibe to it.
"Is that a broken piece of an Armor?" Angelica asks and Kira nodded while turning to look at the piece.
"We obtained it from the ruins." Kira spoke, seeing the piece of Armor that made him look sceptical. "But I have no use of it so…?"
"YOU SHOULD DESTROY IT!"Luxion gives out his opinion in a rather angered voice, the metal orb letting out discharges while seemingly glaring at the object before them all.
"w-why are you so angry!?" Angelica looks surprised at the AI.
"what's wrong with your Familiar?" Hertrude asks while coming near Canard who just shrugs his shoulders because he doesn't know at all.
"hey, Luxion. You know what that thing is?" Canard asks.
"IT IS AN OBJECT OF PURE FILTH THAT MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO EXIST! IT MUST BE DESTROYED!" Luxion angrily replied before the metal ball begins to bounce around. "DESTROY IT! DESTROY IT! DESTROY IT! ‡wdrftgy!"
Luxion begins to make weird noises that is creeping Angelica and Olivia.
"what's wrong with him?" Kira asks Hachi whose drone just shakes side to side in replying that he doesn't know.
"Do you want to get rid of this?" Hertrude spoke out while coming near Kira. She points at the Armor piece near them. "This. Do you want to sell this to me?"
"You wish to have it?" Kira asks, a bit suspicious and confused.
"Yes." Hertrude replied. "if it's money you wish for, I can prepare some."
"Kira…" Lacus whispers to Kira who glances at her and sees that in her eyes, she is saying 'don't' to him.
Getting the message that it was dangerous to agree, Kira shakes his head to Hertrude.
"No, I won't." Kira replied to Hertrude. "I don't know its value, but if you wish to have it. I can tell that it is for something not good at all."
"Why not? I can give you anything that is in my power." Hertrude resisted as she pushed forward. She smirks a bit "I can even grant you a suitable position in my kingdom if you choose to sell me this item and emigrate to my kingdom."
"No, I will not." Kira spoke, sternly.
"Why do you wish to stay in the Kingdom so much?" Hertrude asks, a bit frustrated that Kira keeps on rejecting her proposal. "I know that you're a foreigner from the same land as Canard but why are you so fixated with the kingdom? Isn't the kingdom just a cruel authority for you countryside feudal lords? Or perhaps you don't notice that you're being tamed and oppressed?"
"Your proposal may sound delightful to others, but I reject it because I have people I care for in the Kingdom and I don't intend to abandon them for some item." Kira replied as he hardens his gaze at Hertrude. "so for the last time, I shall not sell this item to you."
Hertrude looks a bit tense at Kira for a moment but seeing that there's no more room for negotiation, she relented.
"I see," Hertrude spoke while turning around and walking away. "what a shame. Truly, what a shame."
Kira and the others watches Hertrude leave before they look surprised when the ground started to shake for a moment.
"w-what was that!?" Olivia asks, a bit scared while clinging onto Kira's right arm.
"an earthquake? But why?" Angelica spoke, confused while holding onto Kira's left shoulder for support.
"Hachi." Kira looks at the drone. "was that?"
"the facility's self-destruct sequence had been initiated and the ruins were destroyed." Hachi replied.
"I see." Kira spoke before he looks a bit angry for a moment. "but are you sure everything has been destroyed?"
"78% sure, but my calculations aren't very well counted considering how deep the facility is." Hachi replied and Kira was silent for a moment before he nodded.
"ready the weaponry on board the Archangel and the Espada." Kira said and Hachi beeps a few times in response. The young man then turns to face where Canard Pars and soon calls out to him. "Canard Pars!"
Canard is with Hertrude before both turns to look at Kira.
"What do you want?" Canard asks in a gruff voice.
"You and I both know what is within those ruins and in that laboratory." Kira spoke out with a hard gaze at Canard. "and you and I both hated such environment."
"so? What are you saying?" Canard asks while raising an eyebrow.
"I require your AI's assistance to destroy it all." Kira replied in a very serious voice. "to ensure that nothing remains in that god forsaken place."
Canard remains silent before he looks at Luxion who is rolling around the grass, still angry but a bit calm.
"Luxion." Canard calls out to his AI partner. "get your main body and the Ortyga out here."
"Roger." Luxion replied a bit gruffly.
"Kira, what's going on?" Lacus asks Kira who turns to face her.
"cover your ears." Kira said while gently placing his hands over Lacus's ears. He looks at Angelica and Olivia. "both of you, do the same."
"eh? Why?" they asked in unison.
Before long, the Archangel, the Espada, the Ortyga, and Luxion's main body comes flying in the sky but in camouflage mode.
"h-hey, what's that!?" one of the tied-up elves cried out, seeing the weirdly shaped objects hiding in the sky. "there's something in the sky!"
The village chief trembled in fear upon seeing it.
"D-Don't tell me that this is what the collective chief was talking about!" he spoke in fear as he and the other elves trembled while the Archangel and the other ships prepared their weaponry in sync "T-This is….this is the…..the demon lord's wrath!?"
As they said so, the four ships unleashed missiles, and plasma beams upon the ruins and completely enveloped it in a huge and devastating explosion that shook the entire floating island.
