The Holfort Kingdom is now in a possible situation of where it would have a Coup occur between two factions; the Marquis Frampton against the Duke Redgrave. Not knowing that one of the factions is in cahoots with the enemy kingdom; Fanoss, the situation became quite dire for the Duke's side because of their weakening standing in the royal court.
The Marquis plans to take over with the help of the Fanoss Dukedom who in return gets the help in eliminating Kira from the picture. Now the Ultimate Coordinator is in the Royal Castle's Dungeon where he is held captive after being falsely accused of being an enemy kingdom's spy.
Now Kira is sitting in his cell with the accompany of his AI Friend before facing one of the masterminds of his captivity; Hertrude Sera Fanoss who is standing out of his prison cell.
"Quite the Predicament you are currently in, Count." Hertrude spoke with a smile while seeing the condition of Kira's prison cell. "as I thought, the Kingdom are the worse."
"What is your reason for coming here, Hertrude?" Kira asks as he looks at the princess before turning back to the hologram chess board, the young man still wanting to play the game against his AI friend to pass the time. "and why are you allowed to roam in the royal palace without a bodyguard?"
"I've gotten a permission to allow me to do so." Hertrude replied before smirking. "and for your first question, I should say that there's a very interesting answer to it."
"is that so?" Kira asks while making a pawn piece move forward. "I suppose that it is to humiliate and mock me in my current situation?"
"in a way, yes." Hertrude said with a chuckle before she place a hand to her chest. "but if you must know, I wasn't the one who got you arrested and be given such rough treatment." She waves a hand to the side. "it was the nobles of this kingdom who did so."
"I see." Kira said while watching Hachi's side move a bishop piece that took out a pawn piece of his. he then made a move with his rook piece that took out the bishop. "What then? what other reason have you come here for?"
In reply, Hertrude leans forward and asks with a smile. "Do you want me to let you out?"
Hearing her words, Kira turns and looks at Hertrude who continued.
"Rather than serving a country like this, you could serve the Principality of Fanoss." Hertrude said while reaching out a hand to him. "I promise you will receive a proper treatment. I can let you live a life of great prosperity and wealth."
"And why should I accept your offer?" Kira asks as he turns back and made a knight piece move then takes out one of Hachi's pawn pieces.
"Why would you not?" Hertrude replied as she leans back and turns around with her arms crossed. "Can you not see how the nobles of this country despise people like you? I mean, they even tried to use me to get what they want." She took a few step forward and then stops to turn and look at Kira. "but my kingdom doesn't do that, we will accept you just like how we accepted our mercenary who I believe hailed from the same land as you."
"We may came from the same world but that doesn't mean we are allies or such." Kira said as he made his bishop move to a square and takes out Hachi's rook piece. "I hope you haven't forgotten about our first battle against one another."
"I know, but nothing of the sort will happen if you join me, Count Bartfort." Hertrude said as she came near the cell once again. "I will make all your wishes come true and all you have to do is to go down on your knees and swear your loyalty to me. that is all you have to do."
Kira glances at Hertrude while moving his knight piece go and take out Hachi's queen piece.
"I refuse." Kira spoke out with a strong and determined voice as he won the chess game against Hachi who had his King Piece surrounded in a formation of Pawn, Rooks, and Bishop pieces. "I've already made a vow to the Bartfort Household, and I became their knight." He stands up and looks at Hertrude with a very hard stern gaze. "I will never be your knight."
Hertrude looks at Kira, her face showing some irritation that made her scoff and turn around while crossing her arms on her chest.
"Is this kingdom really that important to you?" Hertrude asks while taking a few steps away and stops. "They treated you like scum and yet you still wish to fight for them?"
"it's true that they treated me like such but you forgot one thing." Kira said as he remembers his friends and the people who had been kind to him out of their own good nature. "there's always another side to a story." He came near the cell bars and held one in his grasp. "it's only a matter of reading the entire story to be able to fully understand it."
Hertrude looks at Kira with a glance before she looks to the front.
"Do as you wish." Hertrude said before turning and pointing a finger at Kira's direction. "be happy that you are now judged as an unwanted obstacle by my kingdom."
"I intend to be one." Kira spoke and Hertrude scoffs in return.
Hertrude turns and begins walking towards the Dungeon's exit but stops at the last moment when Kira called out to her.
"Hertrude." Kira spoke out. "I don't know how this long feud between Fanoss and Holfort has been going on, but just know that this hatred shouldn't be something you should harbor in your heart." He smiles a bit. "you are your own person who has the will and rights to choose what you believe is right, remember that."
Hertrude slowly glances at Kira for a moment before she huffs and then walks out of the Dungeon.
Kira watches Hertrude leave before he sighs a bit and then goes back to sit down on his bed.
"Do you really believe that she could change for the better, Kira?" Hachi asks after beeping a few times.
"I don't believe it." Kira said as he went and lies down on the bed. "I just know it, and that's all there is to it."
"if you say so." Hachi replied. "What would you like to do now?"
"I guess resting would be an option." Kira said as he stretches a bit and then tries his best to get comfortable on his bed. "I had a very tiring day today and I'm sure I would need the rest for the passing time."
"perhaps." Hachi said. "i shall place some drones for your protection while I help Miss Lacus in gathering evidence to free you and also the evidence to stop the Marquis's plans."
"do your best, Hachi." Kira said to his AI friend who beeps a few times while the little copter drone flies out of the cell.
The time passes as Kira spends some days in the Dungeon where he waits for anything to happen. whether it would be him being freed from the false accusation or hearing news of what has been occurring outside.
on a certain day, Kira is brought out of his cell and in a private meeting room where he is in a conversation with Mylene; the Queen of Holfort and Gilbert; Angelica's older brother.
"You seem to be doing well, Count Bartfort." Gilbert spoke to Kira who nods.
"I suppose I should thank the Duke Redgrave's faction and the royal family for doing so." Kira said while doing a quick head bow in gratitude before he looks at his associate. "how is the situation with the royal court?"
"terrible, I might say." Mylene spoke after sighing. "with current events occurring, the Marquis seems rather vexed on how your Lost Items have gone into the ocean where it disappeared."
"and your doing I might guess?" Gilbert asks and Kira just nods. He sighs and nods back while crossing his arms on his chest. "It seems that the nobles who judged you as a threat weren't wrong."
"Kira-kun, Marquis Frampton is making his move." Mylene spoke. "without a doubt a war will be coming."
"The royal palace is no longer unified. Many factions are bustling about, each with their own motives." Gilbert added in. "Do you understand the meaning of that?"
"Yes and I believe that the Marquis is acting too foolish and paranoid." Kira said while holding up his rope tied hands. "I understand that my capabilities would make me be seen as a potential target, but I do not wish for any unwanted conflict with the kingdom."
"even if you say so, it doesn't change the fact that you are still considered a threat by many." Gilbert stated. "with how you defeated His Highness Julius in the Duel and causing the Redgrave faction to lose power against the Marquis; you are without a doubt a great threat to many."
"the fact that a single airship in your command could decimate the Principality's fleet with no problem just adds the oil into the fire." Mylene stated. "it's no wonder did the Marquis and the Principality decided to join forces in the first place."
"I see.." Kira spoke as he sighs and then thought back of his past actions ever since he arrived at the world. "I suppose that I cannot escape this fate…"
Mylene and Gilbert looks at Kira and then at each other before back at the young man.
"before we continue further, I would like to ask something." Kira spoke as he looks at Gilbert. "does Angie, Livia…does everyone know that I am currently being protected in the kingdom?"
"They don't. Or rather, we can't tell them." Gilbert replied after shaking his head. "Your safety is a top-secret matter that only a few people know about. Due to that, I had to send a complaint to her Highness Hertrude by myself."
"I see…" Kira said, remembering Hertrude's visit to his cell.
"are you concerned about them?" Mylene asks, seeing Kira's expression.
"in a way." Kira replied as he close his eyes and smiles a bit. "I'm quite worried that Angie might go on a tantrum against Princess Hertrude after my arrest. She's a bit hotheaded, isn't she?"
"very hotheaded than a bit to be more precise." Gilbert said with a small smile. "but I wouldn't be worry because you'll be released soon."
"that's good to hear." Kira nods.
After the conversation with Mylene and Gilbert, Kira is returned to his prison cell where he sits on his bed and plays a hologram puzzle game with Hachi who had returned to give him some news about the outside.
"there is without a doubt movements by the Marquis' Faction in seizing power in the royal court and against the royal family." Hachi said while projecting the image of the game for Kira to just flick a finger in playing the puzzle. "and the Principality is benefitting from it as well."
"is this struggle also affecting the kingdom's military power?" Kira asks while twirling a puzzle and fits it to another piece which connects and make a whole picture of a farm. "along with affecting the citizens as well?"
"indeed." Hachi replied while making a new puzzle game for Kira. "currently the kingdom's military might has fallen 59% and the citizens are all in quite the chaos. There's been demonstrations of the people against the royal family."
"This is troublesome." Kira said as he moves a puzzle piece to a spot and then takes another puzzle piece which he did the same. "How are things in the academy?"
"very terrible." Hachi said while projecting another screen that shows Kira's fans rioting against those who hated and despise him. "there's been some fights against your fans and haters which resulted in many students being dismissed from school."
"I guess that's not bad in a way." Kira said as he finishes the puzzle and stops playing the game. He lies down on his bed and gets some rest. "I just hope that everyone else is doing fine."
"they are all fine, but I cannot say the same for Angelica who had stormed off to her father's mansion." Hachi said.
"wait what?" Kira said as he looks at Hachi with confusion. "Angie did what?"
at the residence of the Duke Redgrave, Angelica is found storming into the mansion after some incidents in school. The blonde went into her home and to an office room where her father; Vince Rapha Redgrave was waiting for her.
"Father!" Angelica exclaimed as she went to her father. "Father, please release Kira! He has done nothing wrong!"
"There is nothing I can do about it." Vince replied while narrowing his eyes at his daughter. "we've already lost so much of our standing in the royal court and besides, these kinds of things are a daily occurrence in the royal palace." He turns and sorts some paperwork he just finished. "Even if I could release him with my authority, neither his important airship nor the armor will return to him."
Vince's words shocked Angelica who just looks very frustrated.
"Are you saying that Kira is worthless without the lost item?" Angelica asks while looking outraged. "Kira has been so much for my sake up until now! He's my friend and!"
"And what of it?" Vince asks while cutting off Angelica's words and facing her. "His promotions were no doubt the power of his lost item. I'll admit that he has courage." He turns and crosses his arms on his chest. "However, what worth does he have without the lost item?"
Angelica clenched her fist and cast her eyes downward while seeming frustrated.
"He's my friend and…." Angelica muttered out before she went in front of her father and showed her tearful eyes. "he is my benefactor! Kira is my benefactor and someone I love! That's why!"
"love, you say? Can you really say that after knowing that he has someone in his own heart? Hmm?" Vince replied while raising an eyebrow. The Duke already knows about Kira's love life from his son.
Angelica looks at her father with angry tearful eyes before she went and storms out of the office in a haste. No longer believing that he would do anything to help her crush.
Watching his daughter storm out of the room, Vince made a small sigh.
"Good grief" he whispers as he picks up some papers that had fallen off his table after Angelica stormed out. "She's becoming more honest than usual, hasn't she?"
As Vince tidied things up, his son; Gilbert enters the room.
"Father, why did Angelica storm out with such a face?" Gilbert asks.
"don't worry, it's nothing." Vince replied while placing his papers to the table. "We need to let her learn to wait and never to rush things." He turns and face his son. "She still has room to grow and therefore this presents the opportunity to do so."
"is that so?" Gilbert said while crossing his arms. "but to be frank, she's more mature than before she was engaged to the Prince."
"indeed." Vince said as he goes and sits down on his office chair. "she's become so mature and more honest of her real feelings than she was before." He sighs and then chuckles with a smile. "looks like that boy turns out to be somewhat of a good influence for her."
"a very good influence." Gilbert nods with a smile before his face turns serious. "I have reports regarding those who made contact with Count Bartfort in the Dungeon." he takes out some papers and then handed them to his father. "it appears that there are those who are upset with losing the Lost Items that they could not obtain and many of them are threatening to kill the Count in order to get it."
"To be fearing such a young man. How foolish." Vince said as he reads the reports before scoffing. "but I that's inevitable." He sets the paper down and crosses his arms. "After all, he's a knight who single-handedly forced the principality's troops to retreat." He then turns around to look at the glass windows near his office table. "Perhaps they're anxious about the possibility that he'll point his blade at them."
"perhaps." Gilbert nodded. "The people from the temple are also beginning to make noise. Though this is a power struggle, at this point, there's a limit to how much things can escalate." He shrugs his shoulders. "If not taken care of properly, the country will be divided by a civil war."
"The time has come. Sooner or later, all the pressure that been built up will erupt." Vince said while getting off his seat. "Nevertheless, it seems I have many enemies." He went near the window and looks at the view outside. "in the end, those who cannot judge a book by its cover would only end up not learning anything."
"in this case, would it not be precise that the Marquis could not judge a dog from a wolf?" Gilbert stated and Vince chuckles in response.
"a wolf, you say?" Vince chuckles even more. "I believe that boy is more of a puppy than such a thing." He turns and faces his son. "perhaps that is why Angie grew so infatuated with him?"
"Perhaps." Gilbert shrugs his shoulders.
"now then…" Vince sighs a bit and then takes some papers from his office. "return to your territory and prepare for war, Gilbert. There's something I have to do here."
"as you wish." Gilbert nodded and exited the room while his father make preparation to leave for the royal palace.
at the Holfort Academy. There is a total military movement by the kingdom as the Army's Airships along with Armors were moving out in the sky and the land. Knights and soldiers were moving about upon the streets as many seemed rather afraid of a possible war coming.
Olivia was watching the entire scene with a very tense and afraid look. The blonde doesn't understand what was going on after Kira's arrest. She was panicking inside as she tried to remain calm.
"just what is going on?" Olivia asks before she saw Angelica coming into the school's grounds. "Angie!"
Olivia quickly runs to her friend who is just looking so defeated.
"Angie!" Olivia came to the school's grounds as she runs to Angelica who turns and quickly catches the short haired blonde who is now panicking. "Angie! It's Kira-san! soldiers came and arrested Kira-san!"
"I know." Angelica said as she looks around their surroundings before back at Olivia. "Let's head inside."
Angelica took Olivia with her and headed towards the girls' dorms. Both went to the red eyes blonde's room which was locked.
"Angie, just what is going on?" Olivia asks, worried about their friend. "everyone is panicking. So many went back home and Clarice-senpai along with Deidre-senpai are nowhere to be found."
"There's a war." Angelica stated in a simple manner which surprises Olivia.
"War?!" the short haired blonde gasps in shock.
"There are people who are linked with the principality." Angelica explains the situation. "Those people arrested Kira and threw him into the royal palace's dungeon."
"W-What!?" Olivia looks more shocked. "but Kira-san has done nothing wrong!"
"That's irrelevant. Kira's an obstacle to them." Angelica spoke before she looks down with a very frustrated face. "If only I had more power, I would have been able to protect him!"
Seeing Angelica, who felt pathetic and down, Olivia spoke as if something flashed into her mind.
"The queen! If we ask Mylene-sama!" Olivia spoke, believing that the queen could free Kira, but Angelica shook her head in response.
"even if we did so, I don't believe she could do anything." Angelica replied. "Kira should've been freed if Mylene-sama could do something about it. seeing how he isn't free just means…"
"n-no…" Olivia started to tear up, believing that their friend is going to be locked up forever.
"Olivia, there's going to be a power struggle within the royal palace." Angelica spoke to her friend in a calm voice. "If not handled properly, it will turn into a civil war."
"Huh? W-Why?!" Olivia gasps and almost screams in shock.
"We're in a state of high alert. My father and brother are moving about, so it's already as if a war has begun, with no blood being spilt on the royal palace." Angelica explains. "right now, it's just the calm before the storm."
"What will happen to Kira-san?" Olivia asks, very worried and scared.
For a moment, Angelica thought about making a lie to relieve her, but she decided to tell Olivia the truth.
"I'm sorry. My household has given up on Kira." Angelica said while frowning very sadly. "They see no value in him now that his lost item is gone. I don't know if Mylene-sama will help him either. If worst comes to worst, he will be executed."
Olivia hung her head upon hearing that, then suddenly stood up.
"Olivia?" Angelica looks at her friend in confusion to her sudden action. She quickly grab Olivia's right hand as she was about to walk to the door. "where are you going?"
In response, Olivia turns and showed a very determined face to Angelica.
"Angie, I'm sorry." Olivia spoke as she turns and looks at the door. "I want to help Kira. For that, I want to try anything I can."
"You…." Angelica spoke before she stand up and nodded. "I'll go with you."
Olivia nods before she and Angelica leaves the room, the two planning to meet someone who could potentially help them in saving Kira and that person was someone they would've never thought to ask help for.
in a private room belonging to the Saint of Holfort Academy. Marie Fou Lafan; the so called new Saint of the kingdom has been given the room because of her title and therefore given special privileges to live like the noble daughters in the ranking of dukes.
Marie is currently sitting on a sofa with her legs crossed and having tea served by Kyle standing by her side.
"so?" Marie had a smug smirk on her face as she looks at both Angelica and Olivia who had come and ask her for help. "You ask me to help with what?"
"we're asking you to help Kira." Angelica spoke with a hand to her chest. "Being the Saint of Holfort, I believe that you have the power to do so."
"Please! Please save Kira-san!" Olivia pleaded with Marie with her hands clasped to her chest.
Marie took a sip of her drink while making a triumphant smile.
'I was overjoyed when hearing about that mob guy being arrested,' Marie thought all smugly and cockily as she looks at the two girls. 'but I didn't expect to feel this good seeing these two beg me for help!' she then scoffs a bit as she sips more of her tea. 'Well, I have no obligation to help that guy and I don't know how I would either though.'
Even though Marie is the Saint, she doesn't have the knowledge about the influence her title has in the kingdom and therefore she doesn't know anything at all.
Marie thought about something and smirks before she points a finger at Angelica.
"You're asking help from me even though you've said so many things to me before." Marie spoke out with a smirk. "Apologize to me this instant."
Angelica nods and instantly apologizes.
"P-Please forgive me. I was foolish." Angelica spoke out while bowing her head.
"Of course!" Marie then turns towards Olivia. "And you, the naive one as well!"
"Y-Yes!" Olivia bowed her head. "i-I'm very sorry!"
Marie huffs and then smirks.
"Don't you think there's a courtesy to asking a favor?" she asks Olivia who made a confused noise.
"Courtesy? U-Umm…" Olivia started to think but she couldn't think of the courtesy to ask a favor at all.
"You two, kneel down before me in front of the public." Marie spoke in a smug commanding tone towards the two. "If you do that, I'll think about doing something for that mob guy."
Though Marie gave that condition, she had different intentions on the inside.
'Angelica's pride is too high for her to agree to that. Perhaps Olivia would do it, but there's no point since I said for the both of them to kneel.' Marie thought as she shrugs her shoulders. 'Well, I'd be worried if they did agree though.'
Those were her thoughts of that very moment and in that one moment, she made a very big mess to come for herself.
A few minutes later at the public area of the school, Marie is looking very panicked than she was before as she is facing Angelica and Olivia who are doing a dogeza to her.
'No way. Why? Why did it come to this?!' Marie panicked in cold sweat as she didn't believe that the two would do what she asked.
As she was panicking, her followers started to give out snide remarks about Angelica and Olivia's dogeza.
"Look, Marie. Look at the pitiful state of these people." "The duke's daughter and the commoner are both bowing their heads. Furthermore, their foreheads are against the floor." "How unsightly." Their remarks keep on coming as many students started to laugh.
"Is it okay going this far?" Kyle asks Marie while standing near her. "Honestly, even I don't want to see anymore of this."
''Wait! Seriously, wait! I told them to kneel because I didn't think they'd do it!' Marie is beginning to lose it as she was in a situation where she will be really screwed in the end. 'I have no idea what to do about their issue!'
While Marie panicked, more nobles' daughters who were once followers of Angelica came near and started to mock her.
"How pathetic for the duke's daughter." "To think that I was a follower of such a person. I'm going to cry. Did her pride as a noble disappear?" "It's for the sake of that guy. What's even good about that Bartfort?" they all made more mockery of Angelica who just had to bear with it.
"Hey, do a proper job at making your request to Marie!" one girl exclaimed at Angelica who just bowed her head even more to the ground.
"I want you to save Kira's life," Angelica pleaded.
"That's not how you do it, right? There's a specific way you need to make a request, isn't there?" the girls started to mock her even more. "Could it be that the duke's daughter is unaware of how to ask people for something?"
"Please save Kira's life, M-Marie-sama!" Angelica pleaded against her pride and Marie started to become even more panicked when she hear how the blonde addressed her so politely.
"Commoner, speak too!" the girls turned their attention on Olivia.
"Please save Kira-san, Marie-sama." Olivia pleaded.
"What a wretched state you're in now that Bartfort's gone." The girls started to laugh. "You've been hiding behind that man for protection!"
Marie's followers and the surrounding students laughed.
'Huh? What? These followers are scary. Aren't these guys just using my name to vent their anger?' Marie thought as she looks very scared at the people who she thought were nice and kind. 'I can't put my trust in them!'
"Marie-sama, how about you sit down now?" one student asks Marie while smugly smirking in pointing a finger at Angelica's head. "here's a footrest."
"Huh?!" Marie looks shocked while the other followers went along with it.
"Oh, in that case, you should use the duke's daughter as a chair and the commoner as a footrest." One proposed. "Aren't you glad to be the saint's chair, Angelica?"
'just what are you all thinking?! I'll get killed in the end if I did something like that!' Marie thought as she quickly remembered how strong and powerful Kira is. 'that guy got a Lost Item and is possibly planning to escape! If he finds out that these girls are like this because of me!' she gulped as she imagined herself being crushed to bits by Kira's Strike. 'I'M DOOMED!'
"HEY! SAY SOMETHING!" the girls shouted before a hand intervened to stop the follower who was escalating the situation, and that hand belonged to Julius.
"You two have shown your readiness." Julius spoke out as he faces Marie. "I believe that this is enough, Marie. this doesn't need to go any further."
"Right." Brad nods. "Now that it's come to this, we have to show our sincerity."
"Let bygones be bygones." Jilk spoke. "Marie-san, let's forgive them."
"If we disgrace them anymore, your name will be tarnished, Marie." Chris said while adjusting his glasses.
Greg struck his palm with his fist and then smiled at Marie. "They've done this much. Let's help Bartfort, Marie."
't-this is bad! If I tell them that I can't help at all!' Marie gulped loudly as she is having cold sweat all over her face. 'just what should I do!?'
Not having any other choice, Marie decided to ask the five men for help.
"Everyone, can I ask you for help?" Marie spoke out. "i-I mean..i'm the Saint and all, but.."
The five men turned and nodded to Marie.
"leave it to us, Marie." Julius said before he and his friends leave the area.
"How generous of you, Marie." "If it were me, I would trample on them." "Oh, if it were me, I would strip them of their clothes and make them apologize." Marie's followers started to utter such things when Julius and the others have gone away, their words just made the small girl look very uncomfortable.
'This isn't funny! It really isn't!' Marie trembles while looking disgusted. 'I don't understand these followers. Who are these people? They're completely different from what I thought they were.'
Soon Marie leaves with her followers who keep on telling her to keep on mocking Angelica and Olivia even further but decided not to.
As soon as Marie had left, the crowd started to disperse and leaves Angelica and Olivia on their own. The two girls stopped their dogeza and stood up while still getting some laughter and mockery from nearby students.
"Angie…why did you do it?" Olivia asks her friend with a frown. "It would have been better if it was just me, so why did you do it too? with your household's position and all…."
Angelica made a somewhat sorrowful smile in return.
"I thought that this was the best choice." She spoke out while shedding some tears. "Perhaps this might be bad for my household. However, above all, I wanted to help Kira." She sniffles and wipes away some tears. "I really am a fool, aren't I?"
"Angie…" Olivia looks at Angelica and could tell that the main reason for her to go to such lengths for Kira is because her heart is in love with the young man like herself. 'I knew it and I still…'
As the two were going away from the area, Jessica and Milly made an appearance as the two saw what had happened and just look very worried.
Somewhere in the skies of the Fanoss Dukedom, a fleet is on the way to Holfort Kingdom. A huge number of Airships, Armors, and Monsters are what the fleet is consist of and the number is beyond any military power any other kingdom would have.
The monsters were all under the control of the Fanoss' second Princess; Hetrauda who is currently on board the commanding airship which is guarded by other airships and monsters.
The second princess sits on a throne and surrounded by her followers.
"The Armed Knight can't do anything. Is that correct?" Hetrauda asks her retainer who nodded.
"There is no mistaking it." the retainer explained by reading a report in hand. "the reports have that he is detained in the kingdom's Dungeon while his Lost Items have all sunk into the ocean. It would seem that the kingdom's foolish nobles are quite the buffons."
"I see…" Hetrauda nodded before she looks to the side when a maid came and whispers some information into her ear. "is that so?" she looks back at her retainer. "tell Vandel that we have obtained his Adamantis Sword from the kingdom. Albeit it has its form change, it's functionality is still proved to be useful."
"as you wish." The retainer nodded before going away to do her command.
After the retainer, a knight came and kneels before Hetrauda.
"Princess, the preparations are ready." He reported and Hetrauda nodded while standing up from her seat.
"The time has finally come!" Hetrauda exclaimed loudly to her followers, she swung out a hand and with a determined face commanded them. "it is time for the Kingdom to fall! Destroy the kingdom and erase its existence from the world!"
"YES!" all the people replied with vigor as the invasion of Holfort Kingdom have begun.
The Fanoss' people begin their march for Holfort and Hetrauda watches them work before she hears a cough and turns to see Canard standing nearby while leaning against a wall with Luxion floating by his side.
Hetrauda sees her before she looks at one of nearby retainers and told him to watch over things. She then went to Canard who watches her come.
"a job well done in retrieving the Adamantis Sword, Canard." Hetrauda said with a small smile before she looks to the side and then at the man. "How is my sister?"
"Doing well considering that she did most of this invasion stuff." Canard replied while shrugging his shoulders. "She's staying at the kingdom till you guys or rather I go and pick her up."
"Excellent." Hetrauda nods. "I will make sure that you are awarded heftily after this war is over."
"Thanks for the offer, but I got something else I want as a reward." Canard said while uncrossing his arms and placing a hand to his waist. "and it's not jewels or anything."
"then what is it?" Hetrauda asks confused before she receives a little flick to her nose that made her let out a small surprised squeal. "w-wha!? What was that for?"
"for being nosey." Canard said as he turns and begins walking away. "what I want as a reward ain't got anything to do with you."
"w-wha!?" Hetrauda looks shocked before she turns red and puffs her cheeks like a pouting child. "why you! I'm the second princess of Fanoss! You should be treating me; your employer with respect!"
"yeah and you're 14." Canard said while waving a hand to the side. "if you want me to treat you with respect, grow up till your 16 then I'll treat you like I treat any woman."
Hetrauda grumbles all angrily before she huffs and then turns around to walk away.
"just you wait!" Hetrauda said. "when I grow up, I'll make you eat your own words!"
Canard just smirks to hear her words before he looks to the side when Luxion appeared next to him.
"Master, the N-Jammer Canceler has been implemented to the Hyperion's Battery unit." Luxion spoke. "it is currently being outfitted and given direct maintenance for its power dispersion into the Unit's frame."
"good." Canard said before smirking. "finally, my Hyperion will be completed." He then took a glance back at Hetrauda who is now talking to some retainers of hers. "but still, I didn't get to ask at all."
"about what?" Luxion asks.
"that broken Armor piece." Canard said as he looks to the front. "That thing ain't mechanical at all, it's also biological in a way." He then glanced at Luxion whose red eye lense begins to glow red. "and I don't plan to destroy it if that's what you're thinking."
"WHY NOT?! DO YOU NOT REALIZE THE DANGER OF LETTING THAT PIECE OF SHIT EXIST!? ASDAFAEWARQWGQFQWDQEQWEQW~!" Luxion let out a static scream while creating discharges.
Canard just looks bored at the AI's reaction before he looks to the front and begins to think.
'I don't know what that girl is thinking, but there's no need for that thing to be used at all.' Canard looks at his raised hand and forms a hard fist. 'once I fine tune my Hyperion, I'll be the most strongest person alive.'
In the Holfort Castle's Dungeon, Kira is spending his time in his cell as he would do something to pass the time. Currently, he is eating muffins and drinking some tea delivered to him by the guard on Lacus's request, the young man grateful for the snack that he is having while reading a book about Holfort Kingdom's history.
Kira reads the book while munching on his muffin, his free hand flips the page when he is done with one side.
"as usual, it's the same as what Hachi had recorded." Kira whispers as he reads the history book and finds some interesting facts about the Kingdom. "the First Saint never returned and just disappeared." He sighs as he finishes his muffin and then drinks some tea. "I wonder why?"
"perhaps it is because she wishes for solitary?" Hachi spoke out as Kira turns to see the AI's little copter drone come into the cell. "there are numerous reasons for her disappearance, the one with the highest probability was that she died at a very young age."
"that is something I didn't wish to hear." Kira said as he finishes his tea. "how are things with Lacus?"
"we have collected enough evidence to put the Marquis in collaborating with the Principality but the proof of your false imprisonment is proving to be a difficulty." Hachi replied as the AI's drone projected a hologram image of papers containing information about the Marquis' dealings in the dark. "for now, Miss Lacus is conversing with Mylene-san about further actions."
"I see…" Kira said as he picks up his last muffin and took a bite. "how are things with the Marquis who failed to get the Archangel?"
"I believe the term fuming would suffice to describe his frustration." Hachi replied. "after initiating the contingency plan, the Marquis is furious against his subordinates who failed to get the Mobile Assault Airship to work in his favor."
"That is something nice to hear." Kira said as he munched on his muffin and then finishes it up. He drinks up his tea till the last drop and sighs. "I guess it's only a matter of time now, huh?"
"indeed." Hachi's drone did a head now. "with how the Marquis' factions are losing their integrity, it's only a matter of time before Miss Lacus could expose their dealings into the light."
"yeah." Kira spoke before he thought of something. "if this war between Holfort and Fanoss come, would we be able to win? Considering that I'm the only one capable of stopping an entire fleet?"
"the chances are 67,44% in your favor." Hachi said. "considering that this world's technology is still tad primitive than our weaponry, the chances could also decrease if Canard Pars comes into the picture."
"yeah, that's true." Kira said as he thought back of the Hyperion Gundam's pilot who he fought in a deadly battle to the death. "where is he now?"
"unknown." Hachi replied after beeping a few times. "his AI' compatriot is using a jamming wave that prevents me from trying to triangulate his location."
Kira sighs before lying down on his bed.
"Seems that no matter where we are, war is always at the end of road." Kira whispers as he went silent for a moment before he looks at Hachi's drone. "do you think that if I leave this kingdom, the war would stop?"
"That could be possible if you didn't decide to stay at this kingdom in the first place." Hachi replied. "With how everything that has occurred, it is no longer possible to prevent the conflict from ever happening."
Kira went silent as he thought about his actions during battle and without a doubt felt guilty that he was the one who caused it to occur.
While Kira was deep in thought, he didn't realize that he had a visitor who came near his cell.
"How very pathetic of you, Count Bartfort." A voice spoke and Kira looks up to see Jilk standing outside. "Seeing you in such a state brings me nothing but displeasure."
"Why are you here?" Kira spoke, hiding his irked feeling of seeing Jilk who he still didn't like.
"I have come here at the request of Marie-san." Jilk replied all proudly. "it seems that she wants to help you."
"Why is that?" Kira replied, baffled to believe that Marie would want to help him. "I find it hard to believe that she of all people wants to help me."
"How rude. What kind of attitude is that?" Jilk retorted with a huff before he smirks and waves his hair to the side. "but no matter. Just wait as I get you out of this Dungeon."
"That is unlikely considering his current status." Hachi told Kira who nodded.
Just like what Hachi had said, Jilk left the Dungeon for an hour or so before he came back all beaten up.
"you failed?" Kira asks in an obvious voice while in the middle of a virtual poker game with Hachi.
"T-This isn't right! They wouldn't listen to me!" Jilk cried out. "they told me to just leave and reflect on my actions! Why!?"
"it is because of who you are." Kira replied as he did a swap of cards after raising his bet.
This now occurs repeatedly for Kira who receive some guests who came and claimed that they would get him out of the Dungeon.
After Jilk, it was Greg who came in all battered up like he just came out of a fight.
"did you get into a fight with someone?" Kira asks, noting how the bruises seemed to be the size of someone's fist.
"yeah, with my old man." Greg said while wiping off some blood near his lips. "I tried to get my household to free you, and just get beaten up in return."
"if you did it just because Marie Fou Lafan ask you, I suggest that you should return to your household and reconcile." Kira said before he starts a game of blackjack with Hachi. "Jilk is one thing, but you show some maturity than before. Go and apologize to your father, Greg."
Greg was silent for a moment before he scoffs and turns around while walking out of the Dungeon.
"like I need you to tell me." Greg remarked at Kira who had a small smile.
After Greg, it was Brad who seemed rather confident.
"well? What did you do in trying to help?" Kira asks as he is now playing a game of virtual block puzzle, the young man pointing at a direction and the shaped puzzle came falling to that direction.
"t-the thing is…" Brad muttered with his confidence slowly disappearing.
"the thing is?" Kira asks as he turns and looks surprised because Brad is now crying. "w-what's wrong?"
"I-I tried to contact my parents, but they weren't here nor at the estate in our island!" Brad started to cry as he looked rather defeated. "they didn't tell me where they were going and!"
"I s-see…" Kira spoke as he began to console Brad to stop crying.
Next is Chris who came in all beaten up worse than Greg or Jilk.
"I-I don't think I wish to ask what happened to you…" Kira whispers while looking very awkward to the sight of Chris' face.
"I tried to ask my father for help, but I got beaten up as the result." Chris replied while adjusting his nearly broken glasses. "have the others tried the same?"
"and they were in a better result than you are.." Kira said, noting the bulges on Chris' head. "just what made your father do this to you?"
"I tried to ask him to do it since he was the Sword Saint, but I guess he beat me up this bad because he wasn't strong in the political field to begin with." Chris said.
"is that so?" Kira sweatdropped. "perhaps you should go and apologize to your father while tending to your injuries."
"yeah…I guess I should…" Chris replied.
Lastly is Julius and when he came, Kira had a very deadpanned face towards the prince.
"please just leave." Kira said as he went and just lied down on his bed. "I don't believe you could be of any help."
"Why are you saying that so fast!?" Julius exclaimed in shock. "I haven't even said anything when I came here!"
"I don't need to hear anything after seeing the bruise on your face." Kira said noting that Julius' right cheek is swollen red with a hand imprint. "were you slapped by your father?"
"no, it was my mother." Julius replied while rubbing his slapped cheek. "I tried to ask her to get you out, but she denied and told me to leave."
"and that resulted in your face being slapped?" Kira asks.
"no, i got slapped when I asked her this request as a favor from her potential future daughter in law." Julius said. "when I said that, her expression turned blank and then she slapped me like she didn't even care to listen! Can you believe that!?"
"yes, I can…" Kira said, imagining Mylene slapping her son because of not liking the idea for Marie to be her daughter in law. He sighs and lies down on the bed. "just leave. Causing any further turmoil with your parents will lead to a disaster at the end."
"be as it may, I'll definitely help you in request of Marie, Bartfort." Julius said before giving a proud smirk. "just you wait!"
With that the last of the five fools left the Dungeon.
"this will turn out very bad for them, Kira." Hachi stated.
"I know." Kira said with a nod before he shrugs his shoulders. "but there's nothing to be done considering their IQ and all."
meanwhile, in the conference room of the royal court. The Marquis Frampton is present with his faction who have gathered for an important meeting.
"Marquis, is this really alright?" an uneasy noble asks the Marquis. "our information states that the principality has assembled a large fleet accompanied by monsters, does it not? At this rate, the feudal lords who encounter them during the invasion will suffer a miserable death!"
"This is indeed earlier than expected, but it's no problem." Frampton replied after sighing. "just hurry up and assemble the Kingdom's troops."
"but shouldn't we dispatch units that can quickly take actions!?" the noble retorted.
"that won't be necessary." Malcom replied while shaking his head. "the territories that the principality is invading are the ones that we secretly agreed to give them." He huffs while crossing his arms on his chest. "if the principality sheathes their sword and becomes our ally from this, it's a small price to pay."
"h-however! This matter is beyond our grasp!" another noble cried out. "if we don't handle this situation with care!"
"This is a necessary sacrifice for the sake of unifying the Kingdom!" the Marquis exclaimed while slamming a fist to the table. "we still have our military might against them! We will with our utmost best regain everything! All in the sake to ensure that the kingdom's honor is untarnished!"
The nobles look at one another as they started to discuss about what the Marquis plans before they nodded in agreement.
Malcom watches them discuss before a noble came to his side and informs him of some news.
"Marquis, the Temple Priests have declared that they would like the Saint to participate in the battle." The noble spoke. "what shall we do?"
"what a nuisance they are." Malcom sighs before crossing his arms while scratching his beard. "but it is said that the Saint has the power to repel demons…" he huffs and shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know if that is something we can put our faith in, but if that is what those priests desire, let it be."
"but if they lead forward with the war, they will give up on trying to make His Highness Julius as the crown prince again." The noble informed and the Marquis started to ponder about it.
'does the Temple plan on increasing its influence by making the Saint's power known?' Frampton thought before he sighs. "very well. We should be prepared in case the principality doesn't retreat." He looks at the noble. "let it be done."
"yes." The noble nodded before going off to give the reply to the temple.
Afterwards Frampton leans against his seat with his arms crossed and a small smile forming on his lips.
"with this, my position in the royal court is solidified and the temple will be indebted to me." Malcom spoke before chuckling. "without a doubt, I shall be the true leader of Holfort Kingdom."
Time goes on as a few days passed.
Kira still remains in the Dungeon but with some level of accommodation provided to him. his bed made new, food always delivered during certain time, and he's given some information about recent activities outside of his cell.
Right now, Kira is just reading some books to pass some time while Hachi is away with Lacus; helping the Princess in any needed moment.
Kira flips a page of his book as he continues to read the content to pass the time, but he soon stops when he hears footsteps coming near. He turns and sees a group of soldiers and a Noble under the Marquis' faction coming by while carrying a bottle of wine and two empty wine glasses.
"Count Bartfort, how are you doing?" the noble asks with a smile while holding up the bottle of wine. "parched?"
"I do not like alcohol." Kira said as he return to reading his book. "and I already have water provided to me. so no thank you."
"just how long do you plan to live in such an unsightly manner?" the noble asks with a smirk. "a noble should die with grace and not rot in some dungeon."
"if I remember correctly, I'm still considered a foreigner and not a noble of the kingdom." Kira remarked as he glanced at the noble. "and if you plan to poison me with that wine, I suggest that you should forget about it." he looks back at his book. "I am not a fool."
"tch!" the noble clicked his tongue before he did a hand motion to make his soldiers move near the cell, planning to take Kira out and beat him up for having such a behavior but that plan never succeeded because one by one, they were getting taken out. "what the!?"
The noble looks around and to his surprise, he sees Greg, Jilk, Chris, and Brad coming in and taking out his men.
"Bartfort! You alive!?" Greg shouted while holding a spear that he swung straight at a soldier who gets knocked out.
"you people?" Kira looks at the group as they took out the soldiers and the noble is left on his own.
"d-do you all know what you are doing!? I suspected that there was someone behind me, but to think that it was…" the noble shouted but was soon knocked out by Chris who backhanded him on the neck. "gah!"
"just what are you all doing here?" Kira asks while setting his book to the side.
"we're saving you, that's what." Brad said while Jilk takes the key from an unconscious soldier before proceeding to open the lock of the cell bar. "now come on. Julius is waiting on us outside and.."
"I'm afraid not." Kira said as he remains sitting on his bed while taking his book that he flips through. "I'm still under the accusation as a spy and therefore I should not put escaping prison under the label."
"just what are you saying?" Chris asks. "we are getting you out for Marie's sake and therefore not getting you out would make her sad!"
"so hurry up and get out of that cell of yours, Bartfo-gahh!" Brad was soon knocked out as he got a kick to the head from behind.
"Brad!?" Jilk, Brad, and Greg turns to their knocked out friend who was taken down by Canard Pars who appeared out of nowhere.
"w-who the heck are you!?" Greg exclaimed before going on the attack. "raaah!"
Canard watches Greg come as he dodges Greg's spear before doing a quick jab strike to the red haired man's face and sends him falling down.
"Greg!" Chris exclaimed as he and Jilk were about to go on the attack but Canard was quick on his feet.
Canard quickly came near the two as he grabs their heads and slammed them against the cell bars before letting them drop to the floor unconscious.
Kira looks at the fallen group before he turns towards Canard with a hard gaze. The young man being cautious of the Hyperion's pilot as both are still enemies.
"What are you here for?" Kira spoke as he remains seated on his bed while Canard stands outside of the prison cell even though the door is still left open.
"What else than to protect my employer and also seeing how pathetic you are right now?" Canard replied with a small smirk as he dusts off his clothes. "but my reason being here is to meet someone who is here with you."
"what for?" Kira said, not knowing who the other person with him is. "and what happened to Prince Julius? He was said to still be outside and…"
"if you're talking about that buffoon of a prince, he's currently in dreamland." Canard said as Julius is in a room near the Dungeon, the prince shamefully beaten up with brutality.
"then, why are you here?" Kira said.
"I got some stuff to talk on you and your AI friend." Canard said before he turns around and looks at his AI Companion who comes to his side. "Luxion. can you find where the Junker's AI is currently at?"
"I am unable to locate him because of his heavy firewall, but I send him a signal to accept…." Luxion spoke while processing his system to find Hachi, but the drone stops his work as he turns to see Hachi's drone coming in. "oh, he is already here."
"Canard Pars!" Hachi exclaimed as the AI's drone quickly flies to Kira's side and faces them. "what is your reason for being here!?"
"to know how you lot came to this world." Canard said while crossing his arms. "I have a hard time believing that I could find you when I came to this world."
"Meaning?" Kira asks.
"I came to this world after an unplanned battle that ended with me coming to some other world where I now work as a mercenary." Canard replied while uncrossing his arms and placing a hand to his waist. "I'm searching for the answer as to how the hell did I came here and asking you might give me the edge to get closer to that answer."
Kira looks at Canard for a moment before he leans against the wall and sighs a bit.
"I suppose I should start with my part of the story." Kira spoke as Canard crosses his arms and looks at the young man who begins to speak of what had occurred before he came to the current world.
The story almost took half an hour for Kira to finish and it took another half an hour for Canard to tell his own side of the story.
"so that's how you came to this world, huh?" Kira spoke while cupping his chin and scratching it. "but you came from an almost different timeline."
"Calculations show that the timing is off by almost a month." Hachi stated. "and the timing of my arrival to this world is off by almost 3 months."
"so you don't got the answers I need." Canard said before he clicks his tongue. "what a waste of time." He turns around and begins walking away but stops at the last second when he realized something that made him turn around. "hey, Junker's AI. You said that you came here by almost three months ahead of us?"
"That is the estimation." Hachi replied after beeping a few times.
"if that's the truth, what happened to Prayer Reverie?" Canard asks in a demanding tone. "what happened to him after our first encounter?"
"Prayer Reverie?" Kira asks Hachi, not recognizing the name of the person.
"a Friend to the Junker Guild." Hachi replied. "he is the pilot of the Dreadnought Gundam and someone who Canard Pars once fought against and was defeated."
"He only won because my Gundam was still incomplete at that time!" Canard remarked angrily. "that's all there is to it!"
"anyway, Prayer was sick as he is suffering from the painful effects of his genetic flaws from being born as a clone." Hachi continued and his words surprised Kira.
"a clone?" Kira asks in surprise.
"so what? did he die from the flaw of his?" Canard asks.
"He did." Hachi replied after beeping a few times. "but during his last moments, he believed that people could change. Even you."
Canard listens to Hachi for a moment before he sighs while looking away.
"that guy still thinks that he can change people's minds even when he is on his deathbed, huh?" Canard muttered before he huffs. "as if." He turns around and begins walking away. "that stupid kid is a fool to the end."
"wait." Kira called out to Canard while standing up and face the man. "before you go, I want to ask you something. Something important."
"and what's that?" Canard replied.
"just how did you survive?" Kira spoke out while slowly hardening his gaze. "as far as I know and learned, I'm the sole surviving Creation of the Ultimate Coordinator Project. I thought all the others were.."
"I didn't survive through it." Canard said as he turns and face Kira. "I am still alive because one of the scientists pitied me and let me go with my life like I'm some sort of weak puppy." He crosses his arms and looks to the side. "afterwards, I got taken by the Eurasian Federation and was made to work for them like a dog or slave." He clicks his tongue while showing an annoyed face. "and I had to work under that Garcia Geezer too."
"Garcia….do you mean Gerard Garcia?" Kira spoke out, remembering the commander of the Artemis.
"as if there's any other geezer go by that name." Canard said. "I hated that geezer who always work things hard just to get a stinking promotion." He raised a fist and clenched it tight. "there were so many times I just wanted to punch that guy's ugly mug."
"if it's any consolation, I once threw him over my shoulder after he tried to capture me and my friends before." Kira spoke with a small smile. "he was someone who was too selfish for himself and nothing else."
"than I should thank you for that," Canard said before he hardens his gaze. "but that doesn't change my desire to get you off the world."
"then I suggest you do that after trying to get pass me." Hachi said as the AI's drone hovers in front of Kira and faces Canard. "as long as I am around, I shall not allow you to take Kira's life no matter what."
"Then I can repeat those words against you." Luxion made an appearance as the AI's metal drone came hovering in front of Canard. "I as well have the main task to always protect Master."
The two AI's watch each other as both made beeping noises while they were in an internal technology warfare against one another.
While the two AIs are going at it, Kira and Canard looked at one another.
"another last question." Kira spoke out to his foe. "why do you know that it was me?"
"what do you mean by that?" Canard replied.
"how did you know that I'm the Ultimate Coordinator?" Kira said as he hardens his gaze. "there were only three people who know about that. My adoptive mother, Uzumi-san, and…Rau Le Creust. just how did you know about my identity?"
"I met a stranger when I was escaping from the eurasian federation's control." Canard replied. "he told me the name of the ultimate coordinator, " he then smirk "now after meeting you, i guess it paid off." he then points a finger at Kira. "I don't care if you're the so called Ultimate Coordinator or not, I will surpass you no matter what. So you better stay alive until the war begins because you're only going to die by my hands. Got it?"
"you're still obsess with fighting, aren't you?" Kira said while getting off his bed and stands up to face Canard. "even after everything that is occurring, you still wish to inflict bloodshed? why do you care about being called the Ultimate Coordinator or not? it's like a curse to me!"
"You got a good life as the Ultimate Coordinator, but I didn't" Canard said while pointing a finger at himself. "my life ain't ever going to be true because of your existence. Until you're dead, I won't be the true Ultimate Coordinator!"
Kira looks at Canard with a hard gaze as both Coordinators have a heated atmosphere surrounding them.
"so don't get yourself killed by that geezer's men and don't get too cozy in your cell because you're not going to be staying in there for any longer." Canard spoke as he turns and begins walking out with Luxion following by after ending the technical warfare against Hachi. "that princess of yours will get you out and once you're out, we'll finish this battle once and for all."
Kira hardens his gaze at Canard who huffed and then turns around to walk away. The young man continues to look at the doorway entrance to the Dungeon before he let out a small sigh as he gets off his bed and close his door, not minding Chris and the others who lies on the floor unconscious with the rotten noble and his men.
"do you not wish to escape at all, Kira?" Hachi asks his friend who nodded while going back to his bed and sitting down. "why not?"
"Lacus told me to stay here and that is what I am going to do." Kira said as he picks up a book and begins to read its content. "I shouldn't make any more trouble for her, and I shouldn't do anything that could escalate the situation outside."
"That is true." Hachi said before making a few beeping noise. "by the way, regarding the Ultimate Coordinator Project that was being conversed before."
"I know what you're going to ask, Hachi." Kira spoke as he flips the page of his book before he closed it. "it's something I don't want to talk about too much, but considering how long you've been waiting…" he sigh and smiles a bit to the AI's drone. "I guess you earned the chance to learn about it."
Kira then begins to talk about what he knows of the Ultimate Coordinator Project, he explained every detail and points out important facts like how the head researcher is his biological father; Ulen Hibiki and to how Mendel was completely abandoned because of its residence were all killed by an organization against the creation of Coordinators.
"after that incident, I was adopted by my mother's sister and then I guess everything goes on as how I lived through it." Kira spoke as he finishes his story. "this is why I don't want to talk about it too much. I feel guilty because it was my father who caused so much innocent lives to be lost." He clenches his fists tight. "all for the sake to create an ultimate being."
"I see.." Hachi said before beeping a few times. "I apologize in causing you to remember such memories, Kira." The AI's drone hovers near the young man. "I believe I can agree with you in how it is such a foolish and selfish desire for Mendel scientist in trying to do such an immoral mad science like project."
"how can you say that?" Luxion's voice is heard as Kira and Hachi sees Canard's AI companion just hovering by the door, seeming to have reentered after leaving. "Why are you back here again?" Hachi said as the AI's drone hovers out of the prison cell and faces Luxion. "Leave."
"I planned to after learning what the Ultimate Coordinator Project is." Luxion spoke after beeping a few times. "it is such a shame that my creators didn't think of doing such a project. It would've been very helpful during the ancient war against the New Humans. If we were to create such a being, we would've won the war and.."
Luxion was then cut off his sentence because Hachi's drone rammed the other drone away.
"if you wish to blabber, I suggest that you do it when you leave the premises." Hachi said as the AI's drone got a little rope with a suction cup at the end to come out and was lassoed around Luxion's drone before it proceeds to spin around and then flings it away. "we do not wish for you to be in the premises."
"I shall return~" Luxion spoke out in an echo as the AI's drone flew away into the darkness.
Kira sighs a bit as he saw how things go between the Ais.
"Kira, I shall be leaving now." Hachi said as the AI's drone comes near the cell door. "I shall leave some drones to secure you and…" the drone looks down at the unconscious bodies of Jilk, Chris, Greg, and Brad along with the nobles and the soldiers who are all on the floor. "would you like me to inform Miss Lacus about what has occurred here? if someone comes in, they would think that these people are dead."
"please do." Kira said as he flips a page of his book and Hachi made a few beeping noises before flying off.
In a hallway of the castle's interior, Lacus is found walking in the corridor as she is wearing her hooded cloak on because she is planning to make a visit for Kira.
"with this, I should be able to free Kira." Lacus whispers as she had just finished collecting sufficient evidence about Marquis Frampton's actions in the shadow. She frowns a bit as she thought about her beloved man who is still in danger even when he is protected in the Dungeon. "I just hope that I can stop this madness in time."
As Lacus is in her train of thoughts while she continues to head for the Dungeon, she bumps into someone without notice.
"a-ah, apologies! I didn't see where I was going and!" Lacus quickly apologizes while trying to hide her identity from whoever she had bumped into, but the moment she took a glance at whoever is in front of her, her attitude changed. "y-you are!?"
"So the princess of this kingdom got a hobby to disguise, huh?" Canard spoke as he stands before Lacus. "so you're Lacus Rapha Holfort, first princess of Holfort Kingdom." He smirks a bit at her. "or should I say your name as Lacus Clyne, Daughter of Siegel Clyne?"
"Why are you here?" Lacus asks with a cautious look at the man.
"to do my job as Hertrude's bodyguard what else?" Canard said while crossing his arms on his chest. "but if you're asking as to why I am here, I went to have a talk with your boyfriend."
"Kira?" Lacus looks a bit surprised for a moment before she hardens her gaze. "Why?"
"to get some info about how you along with him and me got to this world in the first place. Heard that you came to this world as a little girl instead of me and him coming to this world in our current age." Canard said before shrugging his shoulders. "His story didn't give me any lead on anything and the fact that you guys got different timelines of when you came to this world didn't help at all."
Lacus stays silent as she looks at Canard with an even harder yet sceptic gaze.
Canard sees her gaze and just scoffs while uncrossing his arms and placing a hand to his waist.
"relax, if you think I went there to kill the guy, you got it wrong." Canard said. "I talked to him about how he got to this world and also ask a few questions on his AI friend about some personal stuff too." He tilts his head to the side. "I only plan to finish him off when he and I get into our mobile suits for our final round."
Lacus just keeps on her sceptic gaze at Canard for a minute or so before she slowly relaxed herself a bit and ease away from the man.
"if you already achieve your goal here, then I suggest that you should return to Princess Hertrude's side." Lacus said as she adjusts the hood of her cloak and slowly begins walking pass Canard. "your presence here would create trouble for the international relations."
"say that after this upcoming war pass." Canard said as he watches Lacus slowly leave. "and a word to the side, whatever you got on that Marquis geezer ain't going to be enough to free your boyfriend."
"What do you mean?" Lacus said as she turns to look at Canard who crossed his arms.
"whatever dirt you got on that old man is only going to be enough to get him to be arrested, but that guy would just stay in the Dungeon no matter what." Canard said. "if you want him to be freed, wait until Luxion comes and gives you the evidence of what he did to him."
"you're….helping me?" Lacus spoke with a confused look. "why?"
"like I said before, he and I got an unfinished business to do." Canard said. "I'll get the evidence to you so you got to do your best to keep your boyfriend alive and well along with being free from the Dungeon no matter what. I can't surpass him if he is still in prison." He turns and begins walking away. "got it?"
'I thought that he would rejoice in seeing Kira being imprisoned, but…' Lacus thought as she watches Canard leave, the princess confused as to why would an enemy help Kira be free at all. she wonders on the answer but with the current situation, she can only be grateful to get all the help and advantage she could get.
"I have to hurry and make preparations." Lacus spoke before she turns and begins to head for the Dungeon to meet Kira.
