A/N: Got inspiration after having a late night drive myself. Enjoy!

It was nights like these she lived for, they came randomly but that only made her love it more. They felt so perfect, especially when the weather was on their side, and most of the time it was, although they knew how to set the mood according to the weather. When rain fell, there would be soft music playing, the ac low and a blanket settled on them as they drove slowly along the empty fields. On hot nights they sped along the empty highway with music blasting loud, the top down and wind in their hair as screams and howls filled the quiet night.

But nights like these, they were her favorite, the weather chill, not too hot or cold, the music wasn't loud or too soft, Sasuke drove a little above the average speed limit. Sakura grin widely at the nice feeling of the breeze in her face. Her hand slipped onto Sasuke's thigh and rest there comfortably as they whispered to each other.

Sure it was midnight, but it was Friday, sure she had to sneak out and hadn't gotten any sleep at all but it was all worth it. She had come home from school and had dinner with her family like she usually did, she couldn't hang with her friends this time because everyone had their own individual plans. Ino was in charge of the students planning council for prom, everyone knew it'll be legendary if Ino did the planning.

Hinata had special dinner with her aunt who was in town, Tenten had extra soccer practice since finals were near, Temari and Matsuri had double dates and Karin had to tutor her cousin Naruto, God help her soul since Naruto had a lot of catching up to do. So after dinner, Sakura went to bed, she did get to have a video call with her girls before they went off to do what they had to.

After the short call, she had a bath, popped some popcorn and settled in bed with a movie. Then another movie, and another, she still couldn't sleep. So when her boyfriend Sasuke climbed through her window almost giving her a heart attack an all, she was happy. 'Grab a jacket and come along' was all he said to her before climbing back out.

People 'aka' Tenten and Temari will cringe at this and call them puke-able' but it wasn't like Sasuke to try romantic stuff from movies. That was left for Naruto to do and he always failed somehow, almost got caught and murdered by Hinata's father as well. But Sasuke's phone was being repaired, thanks to Naruto as well. And he lived four houses down from her.

At least he didn't try tossing rocks at her window, especially when the tree was easy to climb up to her window. But she just loved when Sasuke called her out at night for a drive, or to go down to the 24/7 dinner lower down the street to grab a bite. For anything actually, it was their thing. And that felt nice.

Tonight felt different though, maybe it was because their high school term was coming to an end. They were seniors, after all, exams and prom was close, it was an end to an era is what it felt like. She knew it wasn't the last time she was going to see him or her friends, they were all going to attend the same college in Konoha but she knew things wouldn't be the same. They would move into dorms and get jobs and be busy all the time. But the beginning of a new era made her excited, the new adventures they'd be able to have.

Sakura sat back in her seat, her hand still on Sasuke's thigh. "I want to ask you something." Sasuke slowed the car and reached over to slow the music down, his hand them came to rest on top of hers. "Yeah?" She flipped her hand over to fit into his, entwining their fingers. She loved the way his hand played with hers absentmindedly while he still focused on the road.

"Will you go to prom with me?" She was surprised he asked, they weren't one of those couples who did those things, it was kind of a given to them that they'd go together. "Of course I would silly, who else would I go with?" She laughed a bit and squeezed his hand feeling it become a little bit clammy.

"And well, I wanted to talk about college too, about living arrangements, I saw a place I wanted to rent out, instead of a dorm room, if you want to that is, we can stay together?" He was nervous she could tell, to anyone else he looked calm and cool, but she knew him and could see the truth.

"Of course babe, I would, but my dad can't know, so we got to come up with a plan, but yes I would love to." She smiled brightly at him as he lifted their entwined hands and brought hers to his lips kissing it lightly. The gesture was sweet and she couldn't help the little giggles that came out of her mouth especially when he sped up again.

Late night car drives were one of her many favorite things to do with Sasuke.
