Kai POV: It can surprise anyone just how hard habits are to break. Which is why I keep waking up at two in the morning. I moaned quietly as I got up and rubbed my face. When it was just Nya and me, I had to get up early to clean the house and prepare for the day. I've tried to sleep in at times since there were more of us to help, but nothing really helped. I've just accepted it at this point.

I pushed myself out of bed, and after quickly getting dressed, I went to work. I quietly cleaned the Bounty before everyone else woke up. They weren't bad at chores, but I just can't help but clean up after them despite their not being a big mess. Though they all have a bad habit of not putting things back right away.

It only took me about an hour to finish, and I sighed. I really want to sleep now, but I know that's not going to happen.

I went out to the deck and stared out into the city. It was really nice out, and the breeze was refreshing. But I was already bored. It's three, but the others are going to be out for at least another half hour. I can't even train yet because it will wake them up.

I stretched out my back and did some quiet warm-up before heading back to the kitchen. I'm no Zane at cooking, but I wasn't too bad. I made some eggs and biscuits, one of Nya's favorites, and some fresh orange juice. I had just finished setting up the table when Lloyd and Zane came in.

Zane, of course, is dressed in his uniform. While Lloyd still has bed hair and in his pajamas.

He yawned and said, "Did you make breakfast?'

"Yeah, I put something together." I sat down, and they started to eat.

Eventually, Nya, Cole, and Jay joined us, in the same shape as Lloyd, pretty much. That was kinda funny.

Nya gave me a look before sitting down and whispered, "Woke up early again."

"I've been working on it." I whispered back. She knew I had a problem with walking up, but I didn't mention that it was two in the morning.

"Well, thanks for breakfast anyway." she said, nudging me a little. And I smiled at her.

But I did sneak to get the dishes done once we all finished before she noticed. Which earned me a glare from her as she helped in the end.

"You really don't know when to stop, do you?" She asked aggressively.

"Nope." I said with a smile.

She just rolled her eyes as she helped. After we finished and left the kitchen, she was about to go change when the alert went off. But before we could move, Zane turned on the comlink.

"Sorry, PIXAL and I are readjusting the alarm. There's only a suspicious person seen around the old tunnels. Most likely it's nothing, but someone needs to check." he said, sounding a little stressed.

"I'll go. I'm already dressed anyway." I responded, earning another look from Nya.

But she looked more concerned than angry. She asked, "Are you sure you want to go? I can do it, and you can take a nap."

"That's a nice offer, but I already said I would. It'll be fine." I said, though she didn't look too convinced.

But she nodded and walked off to get dressed. Once she was gone, I sighed and went to grab my swords. To be honest, I really wanted to sleep, but I've got a job to do.

I grabbed my swords and left immediately. The tunnel entrance was an old station that was abandoned a long time ago, but I didn't see anyone like Zane said. The cameras only showed a taller person dressed in black. But there were footprints leading into the deeper tunnels.

I hesitated a little, but not because I was scared. It just didn't make any sense that a normal person would wander down there. The tunnels lead everywhere in Ninjago City, but they are extremely unstable outside the Serpentine tunnels. But someone in need of shelter could be that desperate since the city's being working on stabilizing them for safety.

But it still didn't sit right with me. But I need to make sure that it's nothing before calling the others.

I took a deep breath and headed it. I only lit my finger up, so I didn't scare anyone by accident. But it was still really dark. I had to catch myself a couple of times, but I kept going.

But after a couple of hours I started to think that maybe no one went down here. I groaned in frustration and rubbed my face with my free hand. It really was nothing after all.

I turned around just when a loud noise echoed in front of me. It sounded like something metallic and hard, and I could hear voices that followed after that.

Someone was down, and they were doing something.

I quietly got closer and cut my flame out to hide in the shadows. I got close enough to see two people picking up a big metal box carefully. I could barely see their faces and one of them had their back facing me. The one I could was glaring at their partner. He must have been the one who dropped it, is my guess. They both fit the description that Zane gave me.

"I told you to be careful." the glaring guy said. It was a man's voice, a little on the older side.

"I said I was sorry. It's not my fault that side was slippery." It was another man's voice, but he sounded younger.

"I don't care. The explosives inside could have gone off, so be careful!" He exclaimed, and I froze.

"Fine, but can we go over the plan again?" the younger guy asked as they started moving. I moved slowly with them.

"Again? Alright, but listen closely this time. I won't repeat myself anymore." The older guy said, a little frustration in his voice. But the other guy didn't flinch.

"Got it. Watch your right." he answered. The older guy almost ran into a rock and moved to avoid it.

"The plan is, when we meet the others we're going to set the bomb under Borg Tower and cause it's destruction."

An attack on the tower from below. Simple, but sneaky and extremely dangerous to do. It's a bold plan, I'll give them that.

"What about the ninja? Don't they have cameras everywhere?" A little late to ask that.

"Don't worry, they wouldn't be concerned about a couple of men walking around an old station. Besides, the others will be ready once we get there."

I didn't like the sound of that. I'll let them get a little farther from me before I tap my comlink to get the others down here. But all I got was static, meaning the signal was too weak to get anything out.

Great, so I'm down here with some guys with a bomb and a plot to destroy Borg Tower, and I can't even contact anyone to warn Dr. Borg. I could go and get them, but that would take too long and we don't have maps for these tunnels. Meaning I have only one choice.

I have to do this alone.

I quickly made a mark on the wall to let the others know which way I went just in case. After a quick deep breath I continued down the tunnel. Hoping that nothing disastrous happens.
