What would happen if Monika wasn't the only one who knew about the limits of her reality? What would happen when those two found comfort and solace in one another? In this Sayonika fanfic, Monika and Sayori work together to make sure the Doki Doki Literature Club is a safe place for all, all while wrestling with the question of who they are and what their purpose is.

Important knowledge before you read!

Hashtags are commonly used in code (at least in Python programming) to represent a comment left by the writer of the code. I thought it was fitting for DDLC.

The concept of this audio file was inspired by MatPat's theories about DDLC. If you're a Game Theory fan, you'll know what I mean.

"…She's a video game character."

"I know, I know! But wouldn't you feel the same way? Depressed and burdened with having to carry that knowledge all alone?"

"I suppose I would. Very well, you may try this third experiment, so long as it produces adequate results."

"Alright, thanks! …He's gone. Um, hi there, Monika and Sayori! If you found this audio file, it means you've discovered what your existence truly is like. Technically I'm not supposed to give both of you this knowledge, or even communicate with you, but I thought that rule was cruel. Just remember, you two aren't alone as long as you have each other.
