Ch. 6:

Alright guys a few things before we get started,

-I am going to spend more time this semester worrying about schoolwork and less about this than I did last semester. I was pumping out stuff in my Second Dimension story as well as the beginning of this story and as a result, my grades weren't as high as I would like them. Just expect less from me until May-ish.

-That being said, I will still aim for monthly uploads, and who knows, maybe I'll get an extra one out here and there. I am brainstorming a Phinabella one-shot that will release on Valentine's Day, so you can look forward to that if that's your thing.

-On a less-serious note, I want to name the chapters for the remaining chapters after song titles. No particular reason other than I think it'd be fun. This chapter is called Guilty Conscience which if you don't know, is a song rapped by Eminem. If you have one that you think would work for any of the previous chapters feel free to let me know!

-I don't own Phineas and Ferb

-Enjoy!

Ch. 6: Guilty Conscience

? POV

"Good morning." I said.

"Morning boss, are you picking me up this morning?"

"Yeah I will. Got any words of wisdom for us to give to Milly."

"I don't know if it will matter, especially with the way Milly was yesterday. She didn't want to open the envelope."

"I will just write, "Don't lose hope," or something like that to hopefully keep her hopes up."

"That's great and all but I doubt she'll see it."

"Why are you so sure?" I asked.

"I know Milly more than you, and she won't want anything to do with this, she'll toss it aside and not want to think about it."

"You're probably right." I said. "But just in case, I'll write this up anyway so she at least has the option. And if she doesn't, maybe you can push her to open it."

"We'll see."

Buford POV

A lot of people rave about how they have some awesome classes here, but I think I have the best start to the day. I spend every morning in the school's weight room. Yeah, an hour where I get to be by myself and just workout before spending the day in class. It's pretty sweet to get alone time before the chaos of the regular school day. It also gives me time to think, which I've been doing a lot since last night.

I mean, I'm sure you could guess what I've been thinking about; as if it isn't obvious enough, but yeah, I've been thinking about Milly. Ever since we got off the phone last night, I've just felt like a complete asshole. Me and Milly were never like the best of friends or anything but we would hang out with the same group on a decently-regular basis; and now with this whole development it kinda seems like it's gonna torch our friendship and that's not what anybody wanted. I've been trying to come up with a way to get us through this.

Something I was worried about when I wanted to start dating was that I was gonna change for the girl that I would be with. But from what I've seen of Phineas since he started dating Katie; which, yes, hasn't been long but still, he hasn't changed. He's the same dude. I bring that up because Phineas is definitely more of a pushover than I am; and no disrespect to Katie but Milly is nicer, for a lack of better words, but I couldn't ever see her changing me.

I don't know for sure yet, but I am seriously considering asking Milly out, even though I'm worried what she'd say after yesterday's phone call. But don't tell anyone, this is between you and me; for now.

Milly POV

I walked into history class and sat down next to Holly.

"Hi Milly." she said. "How are you?"

"Lousy."

"Why's that?"

"I got another note today."

"Oh? What did it say?"

"Don't know. Don't care. It's over. I'm over it."

"So I take it, you don't want to open it?"

"Bingo," I said.

"Did you read your note from yesterday?"

"You could say that."

Holly looked at me confused, "What the heck is that supposed to mean?"

"Well I never opened the envelope. But after school yesterday, I got a text from an unknown number. The text was awfully similar to something that I would see in that envelope."

"Wow. You said it was an unknown number?" Holly asked.

"Yeah. I don't know how they got my number."

"Well since they have it, what harm is opening your envelope? I mean, if that's the same person that's making your notes, then you're gonna find out anyway."

"The thing is, I don't know who is doing this, or how they got my number. They would've had to get it from someone that has my number which isn't very many people. And another thing is that somehow someway, this person is figuring out if I'm opening the envelopes."

"Wow Milly. This is wild."

"I know," I said as the teacher walked in.

"Good morning class." The teacher said.

Katie POV

I walked onto the bus and it was more crowded than usual. I headed to the back where I usually sit with Phineas and I saw that Ferb was in my seat.

"Hi Katie, we have to triple seat today since there's extra kids on."

"That's ok." I said as I sat down by my boyfriend, sandwiching him between me and Ferb.

I looked up at Phineas after putting my bag down and saw a smile on his face, wider than usual.

"Something you need to tell me, Phineas," I joked. "What's with the big smile?"

"I figured you would want to see this," he said as he showed me his phone. He had his messages pulled up with a text from Buford. It read, "Hey Phineas, I'm gonna call Milly later. I need to apologize after what went down last night. Might call you before to talk things over, but I might ask her out to dinner or something. We'll see how shit goes down."

"Yay!" I said. "That's awesome."

"Yeah, I hope he goes through with it. I know Milly needs it and Buford has been really shaken up since Milly hung up on him last night."

"Well I hope he does pull through and ask her out."

"Me too."

? POV

I look at my phone and see a text saying, "Buford might ask Milly out tonight. It's looking up." I shot back a "Great thanks bro," before switching over to Milly in my contacts. It feels a little awkward texting Milly when she doesn't know who I am. I mean she does, she just doesn't know it's me. Anyways, I sent her a text saying, "Today is the day!"

Buford POV

I just got home from school and I got a call from Phineas.

"Hey dinner bell. Did you get my text?"

"Yeah, I got it Buford. Are you sure about this?"

"I don't know if I have a choice to be sure. I need to apologize to her before this gets prolonged and torches things between us."

"Well I understand that part, I just meant the whole asking her out thing."

"Honestly, no. I'm not sure. But I feel like I need to. It feels right, you know?"

"I hear you. Good luck to you. I expect to hear back afterwards."

"You got it, dinner bell."

"Talk to you later buddy," he said as he hung up.

Here goes nothing.

I called Milly and she picked up right away.

"Hello?"

"Hey Milly, hope this isn't a bad time."

"Hmm, no. I'm good for a while. Just doing homework."

"Ok. Well first of all, I just wanted to apologize about last night. I know you didn't hear what you wanted or were hoping to hear, I'm sure that hurt and I'm really sorry."

"It's ok Buford. I'm sorry too. My emotions got the better of me yesterday, I wish I didn't hang up the phone the way I did last night."

"No, don't worry about it." I said. "But there was something else I wanted to ask you."

"What's up?"

"What are you doing this weekend?"

"I don't have anything planned right now, maybe the girls and I will do something, or I'll pop over at Phineas and Ferb's if they're doing anything cool."

"What do you say that Saturday night we go get some dinner. My treat. Let me make it up to you."

"That sounds fun. I'd like that."

"Cool, I'll call you closer to figure that out then."

"Ok. Sounds good."

"I'll let you get back to your homework now."

"Thanks, bye Buford."

"Bye Milly."

Katie POV

"Katie, what do you want for dinner?!" My mom yelled.

I thought for a second before yelling, "Mac & Cheese!"

"Alright, gimme like 15 minutes!"

"Thanks mom!"

I sat back down and kept working on cleaning up my room. A few minutes later I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I picked it up and answered the call from Milly.

"Hello?"

"Katie! Buford asked me out!"

"He what?!" I asked, trying to sound surprised.

"Yeah! He wants to go out for dinner Saturday night."

"That's awesome Milly. I'm so happy for you."

"Thanks Katie, I just can't believe it."

"Katie! Dinner!" Mom yelled.

"Gotta go Milly, my mom is calling me for dinner. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Ok, bye Katie!"

Phineas POV

"What are we gonna do for this science project Ferb?"

Ferb shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Do you wanna make a model? We could make a model of a planet, that would be cool."

Ferb nodded and gave me a thumbs up.

"Great! Now what planet should we do?"

"What about Mars? We could make a red planet and model the volcanoes and stuff on it."

"Yeah, that sounds good."

My phone buzzed with a text from Buford saying, "Call me when you can."

"I'll be right back Ferb." I said as I walked out of our room, down the stairs and out to the backyard before sitting under the tree and calling Buford.

"Hello? Buford?"

"Hey dinner bell." Buford said.

"Did you call Milly yet?"

"Yeah."

"How'd it go?"

"Well, I apologized, obviously, and then she apologized for hanging up on me. Which I told her not to worry about. Then I asked her out to dinner this weekend and she said yes."

"Great."

"I'm glad I did it too, it kinda feels like a chip off my shoulders you know?"

"I hear you Buford." I said.

"Well, I just wanted to let you know how it went down. I'll see you at school tomorrow?"

"Yep, see you tomorrow."
