I owe you another chapter ;)
3RD PERSON POV
After Natsu had gotten off the phone with Lisanna, he and Lucy made their way to his apartment to get ready for the trip to meet his father. Natsu told her a few stories that included his adventures with Lisanna and even Loke.
It wasn't long till they reached the small apartment, the door of the apartment opened wide, allowing the light from the corridor to enter.
Lucy laughed with a small tint of red on her cheeks as Natsu continued his stories.
Natsu rubbed the back of his head, "Yeah, honestly she's a pain in the ass..."
"I think it's nice that you and Lisanna have so many adventures like that," Lucy opened her wide chocolate-brown eyes that sparkled once they set upon Natsu, "She really brings a lot out of you, doesn't she?"
"All she brings out of me is annoyance and pure rage," Natsu grumbled.
"Don't say that, from the little I've seen, it looks like she is the only one who can bring you back to reality." Lucy giggled as she set her gym bag down beside the door.
"Tch, don't count on it," Natsu glanced away from her piercing brown eyes.
Natsu walked over to his cupboard and pulled out a blue towel, "Alright, we should get snappy with this, my father doesn't like to wait,"
Lucy's smile remained printed on her face, finally being alone with the pinkette without the interruption of Lisanna, Gildarts, Loke, or any pesky person that would ruin her freedom to mess with the aloof pinkette.
"I'm just not sure what you're going to wear though," Natsu put the towel on the table.
"I have spare clothes in my bag, don't worry. I'm not like you men where you wear the same sweaty clothes after a workout,"
"Hey, now! That's not always true," Natsu pouted.
"Loke does it, a lot," Lucy turned towards the bookshelf that was littered with self-improvement books and the white box where she left his gift from the other night, "Natsu, have you not seen this yet?"
The pinkette sat on his bed and looked up at her, followed by a confused brow raise as he saw the white box in her hands, "What is that?"
"A gift," She sat next to him on his bed and put it on his lap, "From me to you, to congratulate all your hard work!"
Natsu slowly opened the box and his eyes widened at the sight of a brand new laptop, with a smooth jet black surface with the noticeable fruit logo in the middle.
"A laptop...?" Natsu said in awe as he gently lifted it out of the box.
Lucy chuckled, "I figured since you work a lot of late nights, why not have a laptop of your own to avoid all of the trouble,"
"Ah man, Lucy, I can't take this-." Natsu sighed and turned to the blonde who leaned in closely with wide eyes and a somewhat stretched smile.
"Yes, you can... I mean, sure you can, I don't mind," She leaned back with a giggle and a small shrug of her shoulders.
Natsu looked down at the glistening tech in his hands, "But isn't this like over 999? I don't think I'll be able to pay you back,"
"No need to worry about the details, Natsu. It's a laptop I bought and never used. Trust me, it's totally okay," Lucy let out a small sigh.
"Well, I already have a laptop to work on when I'm at home," Natsu smirked, as he leaned down and pulled up the work laptop from his backpack that Lisanna brought for him earlier, "Check it, more late nights but at home, thanks to Liz!"
"Lisanna brought that...?" Lucy asked with her head tilted slightly to the side.
"Yup, somehow she managed to convince that witch, Mrs Scarlet, to let me have a work laptop to use at home."
"... Interesting." Lucy remained calm and gently pushed the laptop she gave him against his chest as she pushed more of her body weight onto him in the process, "I still want you to keep it, though,"
"And if I don't want to...?" Natsu raised a brow.
Lucy, instead of getting annoyed, just smiled and leaned forward, pressing her forehead against his as their lips were mere inches away from one another.
The pinkette held his breath as a blush formed on his cheeks, he's never had a woman be so persistent like this for him.
"Do it for me, please," She said as her bright brown eyes stared into his onyx ones.
Before Natsu could really give an answer, her body shifted more onto his own where she was technically on his lap, cradling him onto the bed as she kept him in one place.
Her small breaths caressed his face as her eyes couldn't tear away from his own - and it was the same for Natsu too.
Without even that much of a thought, the pinkette closed the gap between them, his lips danced with her own as surprise covered her face for just a second before she hummed with glee and closed her own eyes to enjoy the sensation.
To be back with him after being away from him for half a day was truly refreshing to her. It all felt new to her even though they made out the other night, but considering Natsu was drunk that night, to make out with him when he isn't just felt amazing to her.
As their kiss continued, neither of them seemed to want to stop, only for a mere moment to get air, they would stop. But get right back to it soon after.
Natsu would wrap his arms around her back in which Lucy would giggle with excitement during their kiss, her tongue instinctively forced its way into his mouth which caught him off guard and made him blush even more.
It was safe to say that the blonde had gained the upper hand in this as she began to enjoy every single reaction that she got from Natsu. His eyes were no longer focused on a computer screen, his fingers were not always in contact with a plastic board of letters - his body was in contact with her own, something organic, something that has begged for his attention for so long.
Their lips parted after a total of four minutes - not counting the breaks they took.
Natsu blushed profusely and let out a small sigh, "Fine, I'll keep it... but just don't expect anything in return so soon, I'm not really... that big on cash,"
"That's alright, you can always pay me back some way else," Lucy chuckled as she sat up on his lap.
Natsu rolled his eyes playfully and grinned, "Ugh, with outrageous favours, I assume. I've already been through this crap with Liz,"
"I'm not Lisanna," Lucy shook her head and stood up from the bed, she slowly and teasingly walked towards Natsu's bathroom, swaying her hips in a very tantalising manner. The pinkette watched closely, his face warming up as Lucy glanced over her shoulder with a smile.
"Shouldn't you also be getting ready?" Lucy asked with a bright glint in her eyes as she stared at the pinkette.
"Oh, I already am," Natsu stood up and placed the laptop on the nightstand by his bed.
The pinkette dusted off his clothes. He wore a yellow checkered over shirt, a white tee underneath, light-grey denim fitted jeans, and casual white sneakers.
"That's a shame. I was hoping we could take a shower together," Lucy chuckled before picking up the towel Natsu offered her earlier.
"Yeah, right…" Natsu grinned then blushed a little, he looked up at her, "Wait… really?"
She giggled and picked up her duffel bag before entering the bathroom and shutting the door behind her, but Natsu didn't hear the bathroom door lock.
He gulped once Lucy said that, his face warming up as his expression twisted into uncertainty, shyness, and excitement all at once.
"Was she serious...?" Natsu asked himself as he stared at the bathroom door.
A cold sweat ran down his forehead as he began to contemplate the sort of results that will transpire if he was to walk into that bathroom right now.
He would either:
- Get slapped
- Have the police called on him
- Or get rejected horribly.
Thinking about it now, both outcomes are bad.
Natsu shook his head as each point sort of went blank when compared to the making out session they just had.
But his pride soon took over and he plopped himself down on his bed once more, folding his arms as he tapped his feet.
He sighed as his blush remained, "Keep it together, dumbass, you're not 15 anymore. Can't always be a damn horn-ball,"
30 minutes later...
The bathroom door opened and Lucy stepped out with her bag in hand. She put her hair into two pigtails and wore a plain white shirt and blue jeans that hugged her strong, beautiful legs.
Natsu just watched as she put her duffel bag on the table and let out a small sigh.
"Alright, are we ready to go?" She smiled up at him cheerfully.
"Uhh, yeah," Natsu stood up from the bed and got his things together, shaking his head to rid his face of the giant blush on his face, "We are ahead of the pickup time, so we can stop for a snack if you'd like,"
"As long as it doesn't have too many calories then sure," Lucy shrugged her shoulders and kneeled down to tie the laces on her sneakers.
Natsu made sure he had his keys and picked up Lucy's duffel bag on his way out. The blonde caught up and went past the pinkette as he shut the front door behind them and locked it.
Lucy hummed as she walked alongside Natsu, "So, are we taking an Uber there..."
"Nope, I'll be driving us there," Natsu responded calmly as the two of them began to descend the stairs.
"You have a car? I never knew," Lucy got to the bottom floor and looked back at him.
"Yeah... I used to do some deliveries before working in Fairy Tail Corp. I take long drives when I have the time," Natsu shrugged his shoulders, "Besides, it's my brother's, it's the only thing I have to remember him by,"
"Hm, that's cute, I never really caught your brother's name..." Lucy went down the apartment front steps with him and crossed the street alongside him as they made their way to one of the car parks two blocks down.
Natsu glanced at her then looked forward once more, "Larcade,"
"Larcade, hmm," Lucy hummed and smiled up at him, "Larcade Dragneel..."
Once they reached the car, Lucy chuckled at how small it was, "You sure love everything being so small, huh?"
The car was a small red hatchback that was had a few dents here and there but seemed to be taken care of to the point where it almost looked new.
Natsu unlocked it and got into the driver's seat. It didn't take long for them to get on the road, they conversed on many other topics, well Natsu managed to steer it that way.
Once they stopped for some food and got onto the interstate, the calm evening breeze filled their nostrils as the car surfed along the long wide roads. Lucy smiled at the evening sky before glancing at Natsu's hand then back up at him.
"Thanks again for letting me join you, I promise you that my day was just going to be another boring binge watch of Netflix," Lucy laughed.
"Sure, no problem. It's good to hear that I could get a friend out of the house for once," Natsu hummed.
"For once? I leave my house, thank you very much, Mr Dragneel," Lucy pouted.
Natsu shook his head and laughed, just focusing on the road.
Lucy rested her hand near his and closely watched his hand and glanced up at him once more - he was focused on the road, his left hand occupied with holding the wheel.
Lucy carefully trod on her next few words, trying hard not to open any wounds, "Any adventures you can remember with Larcade...?"
Natsu sighed and tightened his hand on the steering wheel, with his other hand, he lifted his soda to his lips, taking in the cold liquid through his straw as he kept his eyes closed for the remainder of the time that he was drinking it. He gently put down the soda cup in the cup holder and leaned back, letting out a large sigh once more.
He focused on the road, "He was really into yoga..."
"Yoga?" Lucy repeated.
"My brother was really calm and relaxed, a lot like my-" Natsu halted, trying to retract the words that were about to fly out of his mouth, he darted his eye at Lucy and found the blonde intently listening.
"Like?" She repeated with a concerned brow raised.
"Like... my Mom, he got a lot from her," Natsu chuckled a bit as he continued to stare out of the window.
Lucy's brows returned to a neutral expression before she smiled and sat up a bit, "A Yoga enthusiast, he must've been a master,"
"Yeah," Natsu smirked, "It was like the only form of escape for him,"
Realising that Natsu may get a bit emotional talking about his late brother, she spoke up.
"Hmm, Larcade," She smiled softly, "What a cute name. But nowhere as cute your name, little Natsu~"
Natsu laughed whilst keeping his eyes on the road, a slight tint of pink appearing on his cheeks, "Cute? It ain't cute, just means summer is all,"
"Yeah," Lucy rested her hand on his hand, in which Natsu instinctively turned his hand over in order to lock hands with her.
She chuckled, "Cute~"
Natsu groaned in slight annoyance but gently smiled in appreciation, it wasn't much, but from his face alone, you could tell he wasn't upset or genuinely annoyed by another colleague's presence.
"Whatever you say, Luce," Natsu rolled his eyes.
She continued smiling, excitement filled her as she held Natsu's hand tighter. She wanted to hold his hand forever, she finally found someone who wanted… no, who NEEDED her just as much as she needed him.
"I want to be able to draw everything from you, Natsu. You won't need Lisanna for much longer…" Lucy thought to herself as she looked up at the pinkette and admired his handsomeness, "I'll give you my everything,"
