Team Fairy Tail was off to a good start and got full points on the first day. It's looking good and the 2nd day's event was even better for them. The name of the event on the 2nd day is Search and Rescue.
In this event, all participants need to search for victims in a destroyed town and save them. Each saved victim will grant them 5 points, but if the victims die, then the mages will lose 10 points. If they can make the victims healthier, like healing or treating their injuries, then they will get additional points from 1 to 10 based on how good the treatments are.
People thought it would be a hard event for a troublemaker guild like Fairy Tail. But the Fairy Tail mages smile and are certain of their victory in this event. They have a very suitable participant for it.
Wendy competed in this event like they predicted when they heard the name of the event. As long as she can find the victims, then her victory is guaranteed. But that search might be the most difficult factor in this event.
The 'victims' are puppets with health bars controlled by a very skilled Puppet Magic user. The puppets can score the participants' treatment levels which will decide their scores. They are spread out all over the fake ruined town made by magic in the stadium.
After the rules were announced, the event started immediately. A fake destroyed town is summoned into the arena and many puppets are hidden within the ruins. The mages start searching for the puppets immediately.
It's quite difficult for the puppet victims that are hidden beneath the rubble. They also need to be careful while moving because they can step on the rubble where the victims are buried. That wrong step can kill the victim, which will cost them points.
The mages start to find and rescue the victims after a while. They also try to treat the victims, but only Wendy and Sherria from Lamia Scale can truly treat the victims. Only those two have enough medical knowledge to treat the victims.
However, their skills are different and Wendy is more effective in this situation. Wendy's healing magic is meant to heal others while Sherria's healing magic can only be used on herself. So Sherria can only use medical tools while Wendy used healing magic on the victims.
Of course, that caused the points they will receive to be different. Wendy got the full 15 points for each victim because the rescue gave her 5 points and the treatment gave her 10 points while Sherria got 13 points because her rescue and treatment got her 5 and 8 points respectively.
The event continued and while Wendy and Sherria found fewer victims, they got more points each time because of the treatments. Some who can't treat the victims they found lost points because the victims died when they rescued them.
But the treatments Wendy and Sherria applied were time-consuming. So their total points weren't increasing fast and both of them are 3rd and 4th place. So they need to rack their brains to get more points.
When the time limit neared it's end, Wendy did something surprising. She started treating the victims the other mages rescued. Wendy treated this like a real situation and she treated the ones with lower health first.
The victims' health is still fluctuating even when they were rescued from the ruins. They are just placed in the same spot. If they are real humans, then they would be in danger because of all their injuries.
The spectators and other mages were confused by Wendy's action. But then they were surprised when Wendy received 10 points for healing a rescued victim. There was no rule saying the participant couldn't treat the victims rescued by others.
Sherria followed Wendy's lead and their points rapidly increase because they didn't need to search for the victims. The other mages were bitter about it, but they can't do anything because they don't know anything about healing.
Some of them tried to treat the victims, but they only made the victims' conditions worse, so they stop because their points are at stake here. They can only search for and rescue the victims as fast as they can to get more points, but in the end Wendy and Sherria dominate this event.
The point rankings in this event from highest to lowest were Fairy Tail's Wendy, Lamia Scale's Sherria, Mermaid Heel's Ariana, Sabertooth's Rogue, Blue Pegasus's Hibiki, Quatro Cerberus's Rocker and finally Orochi's Fin's Nash.
So with this, Fairy Tail got 30 points after the 2nd day's event. Then they get 40 points at the end of the 2nd day. They got another point in the battle round when they face Orochi's Fin. Lily represented them and a man named Slim was his opponent.
Seeing Lily caused Slim to underestimate him. But everyone in Fairy Tail knew that looking down on Lily is a surefire way to lose. The fight started and Lily immediately dominated it by changing into his big form.
Lily won easily because Slim wasn't that strong. He was just a troublesome opponent who used tricks and hideous magic. But Lily was unfazed by Slim's tricks and he defeated the guy with overwhelming power.
However, during the 3rd day's event, Fairy Tail suffered a crushing defeat. They were last in the event and didn't get any points. The event is called Castle Game. Each team's representative received a castle in a summoned battleground and they need to lead some puppet troops to attack other castles to receive points.
Unsurprisingly, Fairy Tail became everyone's favorite target. Romeo, who was representing them, was helpless against all seven team's attacks and lost. They get 0 points as the first team to lose in the Castle Game.
But then Romeo got his revenge in the Battle Round. He was chosen to represent Fairy Tail and his opponent was Yukino was Sabertooth. His opponent is strong, so Romeo needs to be very careful and went all out from the start.
Romeo immediately fought using his Fire Magic, but it's not ordinary fire because this fire is black. He is using Fire God Slayer Magic, the magic used by Zancrow of Grimoire Heart. The Fire God lacrima Ben made from Zancrow's magic was given to Romeo a few years ago.
Ben saw Romeo's high potential and compatibility with fire magic. So he decided to give the lacrima ball to Romeo after he was done researching it. He doesn't want the lacrima ball to gather dust in the corner because it's not being used.
Romeo fought Yukino with his Fire God Slayer Magic which surprised those who knew about God Slayer magic. It is one of the strongest magics and fire had the most destructive power. So Romeo's Fire God Slayer magic is very strong and destructive.
Even better, Ben taught and trained Romeo personally even if it's not every day. But the only one who could teach Romeo about Fire God Slayer Magic was Ben. So he taught Romeo a lot of things and now Romeo is strong enough to hold his own against Fairy Tail's S-Class mages.
He displayed his power in his battle with Yukino. Even after Yukino summoned all her Celestial Spirits, she still can't overwhelm Romeo. Romeo is not that strong in terms of raw power, but he had a lot of skill when it came to fighting, and he can cover his lack of power with his fighting ability.
The boy is also tenacious and has a lot of spirit. So even after fighting for almost ten minutes, he hasn't given up. Yukino also didn't give up, but her body can't keep up. She was exhausted after fighting Romeo for nearly ten minutes and then she passed out, giving Romeo the victory at the last minute.
