A/N: Posting my recent work here.

CRACK!

The sound of bones cracking seemed to echo too loudly inside the vast warehouse. It made the blood running inside his body cold as Michinaga glanced up, just to see Keiwa's arms fall limp to their sides and their body stop moving. His eyes widened in alarm. It couldn't be real, could it?

Without warning, Michinaga felt himself being kicked aside as Suel dropped Keiwa's lifeless body onto the ground.

"No, Keiwa!" cried Na-Go as she hurried over to check on Tycoon.

But that was pointless, no matter what the girl wanted to do. As if the awkward way Tycoon had dropped on the ground hadn't already indicated that the man had died, neck snapped in two by the person responsible for the creation of the DGP. Regardless, he held out a hand to touch Tycoon's body. The body was still warm as Michinaga put his hand over Tycoon's half-opened eyes to close it shut. Both he and Na-Go turned towards Regad Omega as Suel prepared to reset the world again.

With neither Geats nor Tycoon to stop him from restarting the Grand End, and with the remaining survivors losing the means to fight against the management... there's practically no one else left who could fight Suel.

Suel had won this battle completely.

Ten years later...

Sakurai Sara walked up towards the bus stand to wait for the bus that would take her home. She took out her phone and opened up an app to decide what she should get for dinner. Once she made her decision she put her phone back inside her pocket. Sara let out a long sigh.

"Sorry, Kei-chan... I promise you last time that I'll take better care of myself. It's just that... I'm still not good at doing certain things yet..."

She sighed again.

It was already ten years. Ten years since Keiwa had died from a sudden illness. With no one left for her to watch over, she had no one but herself to take care of everything. She shouldn't neglect her own well-being now, just because Keiwa was no longer around. Her little brother would've scolded her really badly if she did that so she really needs to live well for his sake and their parents'. It's what the ones still living should do...

She could see a bus approaching the bus stand as Sara stood up to wait for it. But then it was for a different route as she turned back to sit down again. Out of the blue, she felt something bump into her before turning around to see what it was.

It was a small boy of around 8 to 9 years old, wearing a summer school uniform. The boy hurriedly offered his apologies to her before turning around to call out towards another boy who was also running towards the bus stand. The other boy let out a loud gasp before jumping on the boy who had bumped into Sara.

"Big bro, you're awful!" cried the younger boy as the older boy laughed at him. "You can't just run off suddenly and leave me behind!"

"Ahaha... sorry, Ace! But the bus was coming—!"

Sara just smiled at the two boys as the bus finally arrived and the two got on the bus quickly. What a cute pair of siblings, though they looked like they were of similar ages. Were they twins? But they didn't look THAT similar to each other. In fact, the older of the two reminds her so much of—!

"Ne, big bro... can I ask mum to make kitsune udon for dinner tonight?"

"Eh? Why not Soba? I don't wanna eat udon for dinner!"

"–but we had tanuki soba the other day. I want udon this time..."

Right away she let out a surprised gasp, even as the bus started to move again, leaving her behind. Sara placed a hand over her chest as she could feel her heart beating rapidly. Calm yourself down... Sakurai Sara, she scolded herself silently. It was just a coincidence. That's all it was. There's no way that what she thought in her mind would actually happen! Yet...

What was the odd of her meeting a child who resembled Keiwa in both appearance and behaviour after so many years had passed?

.

Meanwhile back at the bus...

The older of the pair of twins let out a long sigh as the younger one continued to cry, attracting the attention of the other passengers. Slightly self-aware of the attention they were attracting, the boy hurriedly hugged the other before telling the younger one to stop crying.

"Okay, fine... let's ask Mum to make kitsune soba instead! Happy?" coaxed the older twin as the younger one immediately smiled.

The younger boy kept grinning before noticing the sour look on the older twin's face.

"Ne, Kei-nii? Are you angry?" asked the younger boy worriedly. "If you don't want to, it's fine. If Kei-nii doesn't want it, I won't either..."

"Ah! No way! Didn't Ace-chan wanted the kitsune? So kitsune soba it is!"

Then randomly, a young man sitting behind the boys just told the two to ask their mother to order different noodles for the two of them, which was met with a protest as the older twin said that the two of them always do things together. So it should suffice that the two would eat the same thing for dinner.

"Then," an elderly lady suddenly spoke out. "Why not have some udon for dinner, just as the youngest wanted?"

"We can't!" the older twin spoke out right away. And then the boy started speaking softly about how hard it was to eat udon with chopsticks. The sudden outburst caused everyone inside the bus to start laughing aloud...

Kurama Neon just smiled at the two boys sitting a few seats in front of her. For some reason, just seeing the two boys arguing about food gave her a strange kind of fond emotion. It was as if she had witnessed something similar in the past, though she couldn't quite recall the memory.

The bus made another stop and the brothers hurriedly got off the bus to head home. Only after the bus had passed several stops afterwards, that someone suddenly speak out about it.

"Umm... is this bag yours?"

Neon turned her attention towards the speaker as the young girl held out a small bag towards another passenger. The other person immediately shook their heads and the girl just frowned at it. But then the girl noticed a small tag attached to one of the water bottles inside the bag as she slowly read out the names written on it.

"Inugami... Kei... suke? And Eisuke?"

Almost instantly Neon jumped on it and asked the girl to give her the bag. Upon closer look, the tag also included the home address of the owner of the bag as Neon confirmed that the bag had belonged to the twins from earlier. The older twin must have forgotten about the bag after all of the fuss with the younger one earlier.

At the next bus stop, Neon hurriedly got down and retraced her steps back towards the last stop where she saw the twins. Since she's already set her mind to it, she might as well go and return the bag to the original owner. And perhaps save the twins from getting scolded by their mother for leaving their things on the bus.

Neon smiled to herself as she thought about the twins. For some reason, she couldn't help feeling excited to see the twin brothers again!
