It was a dark cool cloudy day on a Wednesday afternoon in Florida. Lucia was sitting at her desk bored and trying her best to pay attention as the teacher at the front started to ramble on about the world in a white powerpoint filled with text...
Words went through one ear and out the other as she started to zone out, the teachers's voice fading out in the back as she fought the urge to yawn and just slump over her desk. The intense feeling of boredom and sleepiness was becoming harder to ignore...
Lucia stretched out her arms as she grimaced. Her bones ached. She had been sitting in the same spot for half an hour without moving and she was DYING to move. Call it hyperactivity or whatever. Lucia just hated sitting around in the same spot for too long. She was a motor on the go.
Just as she leaned back on her chair sighing, a sudden light pinging from her desk brought her attention as she frowned.
It was a text message from a unknown sender. Lucia unlocked her phone to read the message.
Unknown number.
I am coming for you. Don't think you can run and hide. I will find you.
What? Who is this? Who is this number?
She tried to click further to see the person behind the message only to find nothing.
Feeling very confused as a uncomfortable sensation brewed within her guts, Lucia decided to ignore the text hoping the person would stop.
Putting her phone back on the desk, she swallowed nervously shifting as she forced herself to try and pay attention again. Maybe if she ignored it the person would stop right? Any distraction was better than the phone right now. Even boring Geography.
Wrong. The bright screen of her smartphone flashed once again as there was another message from the unknown sender.
You will die. I will kill all of you. I hate you all.
Lucia's eyes widened as she read the message, her heart rate accelerating quicker.
Hate you all? Kill all of you? Who is this sicko? Why do they keep sending me messages?
Feeling a sense of panic, she decided to click on the contact icon of the sender and press block. Perhaps blocking would stop the harassment and hate fueled messages? But it didn't.
A few seconds after pressing block, the same sender sent even more haunting messages taunting and laughing at Lucia as the screen filled up with unknown texts.
Haha nice try. You can block me all you like, but I'm coming. You can't avoid me.
The unknown sender then took matters further. He started to ring Lucia as her phone started to quietly vibrate and buzz in her shaky hands.
Answer and pick up the phone. I know where you are anyway. There is no point running.
Seveal chills ran down Lucia's spine as she froze in the spot unable to move. It buzzed several more times as the unknown sender continued to spam her phone with calls before giving up as the screen went faded to black.
Just at that moment the teacher spoke up bringing her attention back to reality as the powerpoint slide had now changed to a blank white screen.
"And now everyone for the essay. I've explained everything about the world and the rivers to you so for the last half of the lesson I will leave it to you. I want to see your answers then I will mark it at the end"
Grabbing a black pen that was on her desk, Lucia relcutantly reached over to the red exercise book and flicked to a blank page whilst anxiety gnawed through her veins at the texts that she had recieved earlier
As she started to write and pen down the essay she pushed those thoughts away reassuring herself that things would be fine and it was just a threat.
He won't find you. It's just a threat. A threat that's meant to scare you. He won't actually do anything. This is why you also bring a gun to school to protect yourself if the worst happens. It's just a threat.
She continued to write distracting herself away from the instrusive thoughts, ignoring the flashing that came from the phone screen as the unknown sender continued to send messages. It almost was working in fact... writing nonsense on a essay so she could forget about the messages. It was almost theraputic.
That was until suddenly a scraggly man with long hair and a green coat stormed into the room alerting and scaring the shit out of everyone.
"Everyone on the ground now or I fucking shoot!" He threatned as he waved a pistol wildly
Everyone around Lucia started to scream upon spotting the shooter. They dived to the ground screaming loudly running towards the nearest desk and cowering.
Lucia took advantage of the situation at that moment. Getting up quickly, she reached into her green bag and pulled out her own pistol that she had been carrying for emergencies as she quickly loaded several shells inside cocking the gun before finding the nearest wall and slowly crouching and advancing towards it.
For a moment it was quiet and no other sounds could be heard except for the quiet whimpering of some of the students who were sobbing whilst they were laying on the ground. Then gunshots started to erupt loudly as the shooter started to fire.
Screams were heard from the other students as the bullets missed them by mere inches, hitting tables and other objects in front of them.
Taking a deep breath behind the wall, Lucia briefly looked over her shoulder to see that the shooter was brazenly and madly shooting out from nowhere.
Alright you got this. This has gone too far now. I can't just sit back and let him shoot up the school and the other students. I must do something before someone gets killed
Right at that moment the shooter stopped. He laughed panting as he briefly stopped with the brazen shooting.
"Is this all you got? So Pathetic. Anyone want a challenge? I'm up for it!" He started to cackle wildly only to stop when a bullet narrowly whistled past his shoulder hitting the wall behind.
"Oh shit!" he yelled out as he quickly ducked under the table before starting to shoot towards Lucia and the wall that she was hiding behind.
Lucia cursed to herself mentally.
I missed. I'm in it now. Just me and him. Alright focus. The other students are counting on you.
Bullets continued to fly as the shooter popped up his head every now and then to look towards Lucia. Everytime he popped up his head, Lucia would fire towards him only to miss. She started to get frustrated.
Damn it. I keep missing. I need to do better.
Meanwhile on the other side of the room, the shooter was also starting to get frustrated. He had tried to shoot towards Lucia only to miss and hit the wall that she was hiding behind because she was too quick on her feet and had ducked behind the wall before he could get to her.
Fed up and impatient he came out from behind the bullet ridden desk at the front that he was hiding behind.
"Well come on then little girl" He goaded towards Lucia
"I'd like to see you try. Shoot me. Kill me then. You won't get very far. Come on. I'm Waiting"
Is he asking me for a challenge? Alright then douchebag. I'll serve it up to you.
Without hesitation Lucia moved from behind cover and stood at hip level both hands on the pistol as she stood with her arms and body straight, firing three rounds into his body. One hitting his chest, the other hitting his stomach and the last on the side of his hip.
Stunned the shooter was speechless as blood started to drip from his lips, his eyes facing the ceiling as it rolled back towards the back of his head.
"You..." He weakly rasped pointing towards Lucia before he collapsed on the ground in a pool of blood dying.
For a moment there was silence as Lucia stared at the body of the dead shooter in front of her, poitning her pistol down towards the ground before she mumured
"That's what you get asshole. Don't mess with a Latina with a gun"
The other students shakily got up from the ground, gawking in open shock as their mouths opened wide before the teacher from earlier nodded towards Lucia with a warm and proud smile as everyone started clapping and whooping.
"Thank you Lucia" One student started to cry as everyone else started to echo in unison
Lucia chuckled "Hey no problem. I was just doing my job. He was an asshole anyway. At least he won't be bothering us again"
Before shouting more loudly "Hey Everyone I got to go... I'll see you in class tomorrow. I got to run now!"
Placing her pistol back in her bag and closing it tight, she lifted the backpack to her shoulders and quickly scurried out the classroom and onto the hall outside
I got to get out of here before the cops show up. I can't have them asking questions. I probably won't come back. I have to move again. I've blown my cover even though I didn't do anything wrong and I just saved a entire school it's best if I disappear again. I don't want people asking me questions.
Reaching the end of the coridoor, Lucia walked outside quickly just as several cop cars were seen pulling up from a distance.
A/N: And that's it. That's the end of it. Our badass girl Lucia saved the day. This was based on a weird dream I had on Lucia where she was a student in Florida and a school shooter invaded and she shot and killed him in the same manner that she did in this fic. It was pretty random. I haven't been looking or reading news articles about this lately or even about GTA 6 so this was pretty random. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this fic. My first in the GTA fandom. Thanks for reading.
