Disclaimer: I own nothing

Kagome: 21, Souta: 15

His head hurt.

'I thought Nee-chan was the one who attracted the weird things.' Souta slowly opened his eyes, feeling that same wariness as he did when his two fellow students insisted on unwrapping the seals of... whatever that cursed item was.

His body tensed when he finally noticed that he was restrained; his arms tied behind him in a way that he could not escape without help, "Wha..." He sighed, rolling his head to one shoulder, "Where am I?" He muttered to himself and jumped noticeably when someone actually answered him.

"Impressive, kid. You woke up hours before I intended you to, but that's the question here, isn't it?" The man – a very very strange man – was sitting across from the bound boy, who just stared at him almost blankly, "The incident earlier, do you remember it?"

"Yeah, of course," Souta huffed, "Two members of my occult club at school opened some 'cursed' object even though I told them over and over not to. Then..." He paused, recalling what happened next, "Then those... monsters, they attacked us."

The mysterious man rested his head on top of the backwards chair, grinning almost manically, "Is that all?"

"Uh, who are you again?" Souta furrowed his brows, "Are you a friend of Nee-chan's?" He asked, noting the silver hair the man possessed.

"Nope, can't say I am," The man shook his head lazily, "C'mon, kid. I know what you're doing. No point in stalling, is there? Ah, the name's Gojo Satoru."

It was only a Higurashis' luck to get caught up in something in the supernatural sense.

"Is that why I'm tied up?" Souta pulled at his restraints, but it was no use, "No offence, but this is actually kinda creepy." He stated with a deadpan voice.

"Don't want to tell me, hmm?" Gojo tilted his head, "You're not going to get into trouble or anything. Everyone there saw you do it – using that power. Hell, even I saw, so it's not really so secret anymore."

"Woah, hold up!" Souta tried to move back further into his chair, "You kidnapped me to get me to tell you about my..." He snapped his mouth shut at the last second, "Nee-chan... Nee-chan isn't going to like this. I'm warning you now."

"I'm the strongest there is," Gojo shrugged off the kid's so-called 'threat', "What ever you used, it was not Juryoku. Care to tell me? I'd rather not have to consider a kid like you a threat."

Souta bit his lip, thinking of Kagome and what she might do or say in this situation, "It's– it's Reiryoku!" He said quickly while looking away and just hoped that his sister would not be angry at him for spilling their secret.

Gojo's brow rose and Souta fidgeted as his nerves began to take over when the man lifted his (strange) blindfold far enough that one of his shockingly blue eyes was uncovered and seemingly observing him very intently.

"Hmm, Reiryoku?" Gojo could practically see the holy energy surrounding the boy and it was certainly something he had never felt before, "Didn't that type of energy get bred out a few hundred years ago?" His proceeding smirk then caused Souta to shiver while his eyes gleamed crazily, "And this 'Nee-chan' you keep mentioning?"

Souta scowled, "As soon as she gets back, she'll kick your ass if you don't take me home!" His teeth grit when Gojo let out a chuckle, "I mean it! If anyone's the strongest, it's Nee-chan!"

Now, if only Kagome could just appear right now out of nowhere like a manga protagonist was supposed to, he would be all set and safe.

She did not appear.
