That evening, everyone had been gathered in the center of town where Chief Liam had explained everything to them.

"And that's why I'm giving all of you the choice to stay or go with Merlin and his friends to a safe place," said Chief Liam.

"The women and children should all go," said a man from the crowd.

"And us men should stay behind to fight back," said another.

"Hey, some of us women don't have kids to worry about and would rather stay to help out as well; after all, we're not little damsels that need you men to protect us" said a woman who was built like some of the men she was so muscular.

"And some of us guys are solo parents, we can't just abandon our children," said a third guy who sat with a little girl. Everyone then broke out into an arguing mob that was just getting louder by the second.

"Enough!" said Bill in a loud booming voice which got everyone to go quiet.

"No one is being forced to stay or to leave, it's up to you what you do and we will accept whatever you choose to do but will also be grateful to those who will stay behind like I am," he said.

"Those who are going to stay will meet back here in the morning to check in with Bill" said Chief Liam.

"And the people who wish to leave will meet at the gate where Chief Liam will lead them to their new home," said Ben.

"You alright, Robyn?" asked Mebh as they stood to the back of the crowd.

"I'm upset that he wants to stay, but I can't blame him either," said Robyn.

"These people will need someone to lead them after all and it's not like Chief Liam himself can stay behind to be the leader they need in battle given his age," she said.

"If you want to stay, I'll…," said Mebh before being cut off by her wife.

"I'm not leaving you, Kelly, Moll, or Jack alone," said Robyn.

"My choice is to stay with you no matter what just like my father asked me to," she said while taking hold of Robyn's hand and smiling at her.

"You're the best," said Mebh before kissing her.
